Bo and the Armorer have some absolutely, delisciously, queer tension in those few brief scenes of theirs.

And Bo has long been Mandalorian Queen of Lesbians.

So here's Mandalorian lesbians in power, an idea that just does things to me.

As a little side note... I also really don't like the idea of Bo with Din. For one because of how many hetero couples we already have (and how bad most are) in Star Wars, but also because the two of them just act like cool combat bros.

I did some Barbie screenshot tracing and made it UtenAnthy. I've seen people tracing parallels, with the particular car, and with the whole driving to the real/outside world, but I was disappointed to find apparently no one had actually drawn it. But that allowed me to do it myself. So here they are, driving to a world with no roads, though this drive is considerably more chill than the one in Adolescence of Utena.

Drew some Pride Ghosts for Pride Month in 2022. That's it. Just queer ghosts. Drew them inspired by the little Gaysper icon that the Spanish right wing used to try and make the LGBT+ movement scary, but instead just gave us an adorable ghost icon. I took that and expanded upon it.

The ghosts are, in order, Progress Pride, Lesbian, Gay, Bi, Trans, Intersex, Ace, Non-Binary, and Genderfluid.

Utena Kart! I think the idea is pretty clear.

I was inspired by the whole car transformation thing. I used the Mario Kart Wii poster, because that's the one I've played. It was fun drawing it, and made me try things that I would likely not have otherwise (cars and buildings, and road. Not easy.

Took me waay longer to finish than intended, because I actually lost all my progress at one point. It was almost done, and then my computer lagged, I had to shut it down, and the file was corrupted. That hurt, but I think it's better now, so it's fine. And seeing it finally finished is so satisfying.

Don’t know why, but I had a thought about the sexualities of Revolutionary Girl Utena. I’m sure this has been done over and over again, but I thought of this and heck, this seems like as good a place as any to express them. Spoilers ahead.

Utena is a lesbian, but she’s in denial through most of it. Every time she shows interest in a man, it’s just because she thinks it might be the Prince, which she thinks is who she loves and the bearer of something eternal (but, as we find out, the actual eternal thing is Anthy. That’s who she loves. Her memories and feelings have just been distorted by the patriarchal heteronormative system she’s in). Also in that disgusting sex scene with Akio, not only is she entranced by that illusion, but even then all she thinks about is Anthy.

Anthy, similarly, is a lesbian. She only ever shows any romantic interest towards Utena, who leaves her smitten and afraid of what might happen. When Akio seems to “win” and have Utena for himself, she’s livid. The only man she’s ever in any sort of willing relationship with is Akio, as Dios, but then, his actions have led her to see sex as a means to save someone (as he does to princesses). So she does what she knows as a means of salvation.

Akio is straight, but he sees sex as a way to exert power, so he’ll do it to people regardless of gender. He enjoys power, and to him sexuality is power.

Touga is gay, but he’s been groomed into wanting to be like Akio, so he also has relationships with women because he’s been convinced that’s how you get power.

Saionji is also gay. He has relationships with women because he yearns for love and romance. He’s abusive because he’s been shown that that’s how relationships work by Touga, and also because he has no interest in women and doesn’t know how to deal with that.

Nanami is aroace and sex-repulsed. She’s got some infatuation with Touga (allonormativity, heteronormativity, and patriarchy), but the thought of any sexual or romantic relationship with him disgusts her. In fact, she seems to dislike all relationships of that sort and have no interest in them with anyone.

Juri is a lesbian. This requires no explanation.

Shiori is bi, but has no parameters for how to deal with her attractions in any sort of healthy way. And so she tries her best to hurt Juri (who’s not as ashamed of her sexuality, if unable to live it) as the only way of having a relationship with her.

Miki and Kozue are both pansexual. Miki is repressed, getting flustered by both Touga and Anthy, and Kozue is not, going after boys and girls in an aggressive way. They’re also both trans, but they’re eggs and will be happier when they figure it out. That’s also why they’re like that. That’s what they’ve learned femininity and masculinity are, respectively.

I drew Ketbine (again, because I dont like the old version I did anymore). I love this pairing. Might be my favourite Star Wars pairing of all (and I'm 100% convinced they're a couple).

I love them even more because Pride and Rebellion really go hand-in-hand (in fact, they are kissing, sloppy-style, squishing boobs together, etc.) 🏳️‍🌈Rebel Mandalorian Space Lesbians for the win!🏳️‍🌈

I wish Ketsu would show up in the new Ahsoka show... How cool would it be for them to make their relationship canon? She wouldn't even need to be there all the time. Maybe she shows up in, like, one episode, just to show she's Sabine's wife. Maybe she helps out in one episode's side quest or something.

Last thing: my little RANT (it's my post, so I get to do this all I want 😌) I've seen a good deal of shipping of Sabine and Ezra recently. And I hate that ship with a passion. 1-Their story is an amazing one of him letting go of his infantile teenage attraction after being rejected a few times (making it infinitely better and more healthy than the gross Han and Leia relationship), and them then developing a great, close friendship. That would all be undermined by them then falling in love. 2-Sabine is probably the most queer-coded character in Star Wars, a franchise with no actual, decent, explicit LGBT+ representation in it. So having her end up in a boring heteronormative relationship would be shitty, not to mention unimaginably dull. So I hope it never happens.

I drew a Spider-Nimona AU, where Nimona is (chooses to be) a Spider-Person. She of course wasn't bitten by a spider or anything, just chose to do have and use those powers (though on occasion she is a radioactive spider). The VeNimona version is partly inspired by her Kaiju-esque form from the end

I still need to watch Across the Spider-Verse, and am looking forward to doing so, but the themes I know both films share led me to do this.

I felted a little Wenclair Raven and Wolf.

So, ravens and wolves have their own, shall we say, "sweet little relationship". It's a really cute case of mutualism. Ravens help the wolves hunt, and keep a look out while they eat, while wolves protect and help ravens acquire food. And they play together!

Point is, it's cute. And then in Wednesday, obviously Enid is a (were)wolf, but Morticia and Goody say Wednesday is the raven of their bloodline.

So that's why I decided to make this. Complete with Wednesday's braids, and Enid's snood (I love it and want one for myself) and coloured hair and claws.
