but concernedape had to go and put a new update for stardew out and it's an icky weekend where i'm living rn weather wise and so i'm just blasting through this game again bc i'm WEAK

This DTIYS was originally meant for Instagram as thanks for 3k followers, but then I checked my tumblr and what a surprise! I got to 4k already? Wow! In that case...

Thank you all so much for 4000 followers!

Tumblr was my very first "social media" besides internet forums, and it still holds a very dear place in my heart. Mostly thanks to the amazing people I met there. ^^

Anyway, as this is a DTIYS, you can check out the rules under the cut if you wish to participate, I hope you'll have fun!

What is a DTIYS?

A Draw This In Your Style is a simple challenge during which an artist creates an illustration, and other people can redraw it in their own style! Go crazy, modify the poses, the interactions, as long as the core elements are there (the three mxtx protagonist with Xie Lian in chibi version), then it counts as submission!

How can you see our submission?

Simply tag me. ^^ As soon as I'll see your submission, I'll reblog it!

Is there a deadline?

Not really, but preferably before the end of 2023.

Will there be a reward/winner?

I don't want this to be a competition, and I don't have anything to offer. My only wish is for you all to have fun!

It's been a short time since I uploaded any drawings, I'm sorry for that(?

Anyway, I share with you these 2 drawings that were part of a dtiys by different artists:

The first was part of @/pup_wackaboots in Instagram, I liked the concept of them being in the snow also referencing the song "Yakko's Universe"

The second and last one is of pinky and brain dancing on the ground, participating on behalf @weird-something-or-other, also from the same app.

I liked both a lot, because they are not just simple backgrounds that I always do but doing things differently and being able to improve, but I still gave a lot of effort so that they will look good 🤌✨

I hope to soon upload about one more drawing this month (if I have free time)

More Magmas/Aggies! None from today, but they are all so special to me! I will never forget! The first one of Julie was part of a DTIY for Moinkers(on tiktok) and Boinkerson(on instagram) they have such cute designs for Welcome Home, I'll be drawing more of them in the future!!!

This year's birthday gift for my good friend casperianart on insta! <3 Be sure to check out her work for some really fun OCs and dnd characters! She also makes really cool procreate brush packs!

Though it's taken some time to adjust, definitely feeling more at home with this doll-like chibi style. 🌱 Art styles don't happen automatically, and I don't recommend forcing it whatsoever, but I believe that there's always hints in what you're already doing consistently + what you're personally drawn to. For me, I've been leaning more and more into clean, detailed lines, soft/cozy colours and delicate shoujo aesthetic 🌸 What inspirations do you have behind your art style?

you know how this acct started with me batch posting Seabound couture designs? yeah? that part of me is coming back, probably, and at the WILDEST time.

anyway, below the cut is the moodboard for what may become my entry. I made this because, if I don't do SOMETHING to cool out about the prompt, NEITHER project is getting anywhere soon. @alizibtheterrible - congrats on inspiring some incredible artistic conflict in me (I say that lovingly)

these are all from a collection of inspiration pics I have on my Instagram - lots of Elie Saab happening here, I think, plus a couple of other designers whose names I can't remember. Definitely going to be a jumpsuit of sorts. I also have a really neat Tessa Violet concert fit for armor ref and chiffon inspo, plus a mocktail from a coffee enthusiast that just has The Vibes. probably will inspire some kind of mosaic element.

I'm also planning on pulling from this Kalmaar-inspired gala WIP that I never brought into its fullest form but am still deeply in love with:

the current vision is some sort of ominous gala jumpsuit with a big ass cape, which I would LOVE to pull off some kind of mural design on - stylistically, somewhere between the stained glass in Child of Light and the papercraft history lesson in Seabound. Although maybe it'll just be abstract. Who knows?! Not me!! Anyway, I'm probably going to stick with my usual "basic croquis + banger fit", because as fun as the Skybound Nya DTIYS was, I was so stressed about how the character looked that I feel like the actual fashion design slipped a bit.
