Things were deviding in the Ashwood kingdom... Soldiers, Towns people, believers, the Queendom, the Noble houses... things often seemed like they could fall apart very easy... Elvira used that to gather her believers in her church and lead them with her own goals... yet this day she was surprised about what awaited her at the doorsteps of the church.

She was praying with a simple group of usual followers as a Noblelady she never seen before sat down in the back of the ceremony... waiting and watching untill everything was over.

"Countess Darius, what brings the honor to this humble church to be graced by your presence."

"A certain riot of some of your people."

"Oh? What is it with those accusations... are you perhaps trying to blame your since onto our pure institude."

Among the words of the Priestess, Countess Darius also know as Alice instructed her servants to escort the Believers out of the church and pinned Elvira to the wall getting her to suddenly flinch.

"Y-Yeah, I can do that. J-Just um- " She blushed softly as she was never used to dressing up and showing off her body like the way he likes it, she puts down her kit a bit

Rimauru blinked as he moves as he transform back into his human for as he smiles, he walks over to the Fairy Queen, he then bows softly to her and smiles "Hello~ I'm Rimauru Tempest! You must be Elvira. Pleasure to finally meet you. " he said softly as he smiles happily, knowing he can he a bit intimidating, he tried his best to have the softest vibe he can have.

"I hope you're travels weren't am issue, I know City of Tempest can be very rough since we're the furthest of all the nations here. " he said as he walks and moves showing her a place to sit, he looks at her as he can easily tell she was nervous but he didn't bring it up because she was being strong for her kingdom

Let me paint a picture from this song: 

The winter dance of ‘84. 

Or at least, the evening of the dance, because of course, we didn’t go. Back then, our friendship was still blossoming, even though it already felt as if I’d known you since far longer. We got acquainted pretty fast, and as time went on it was more a matter of peeling off deeper and deeper layers of ourselves, going beyond what no one has before, at least in my case. 

But anyway, back to the night of the dance, when we decided to have our own little get together instead. 

My house was empty, as it usually is, so it was the first time I invited you over. I’d been in your trailer countless times by now and I wanted to repay the favor – said I’d make us a nice home cooked meal so that we could, for once, save the money we spend on takeaway to get ourselves christmas gifts. You got me new film rolls for my camera and I got you Dio’s ‘Holy Diver’ and ‘Last in Line’ on vinyl. 

And of course I didn’t tell you then that my cooking left a lot to be desired…but I figured, how hard could it be? 

It was late at night and we had MTV playing from the living room because we were waiting for Elvira’s Movie Mac to come on while I tried to figure out the proper quantity of spaghetti noodles to boil for two. You were goofing around with the christmas decorations and to this day, even if you deny it, I just know that you’re the one that broke the ‘baby’s first christmas’ ornament. I’ve never blamed you though, the thing was hideous, but I know it was you because of the shattering sound that came before you ambushed me from behind while I was in the kitchen, which made me spill all the spaguetti around the stove, instantly getting burned from the lit flame. 

You just laughed and hugged me harder and told me you had no problem eating burnt pasta as long as I had made it for you. 

From the TV,  the gentle piano and acoustic guitar of Alice Cooper’s ‘You and Me’ began to play, prompting you to rock me gently within your embrace. When you released me, you extended your hand for me to take and led me to the living room, where you placed one palm around my waist and the other tightly locked on my opposite hand. 

We started clumsily dancing to the song, not really knowing what we were doing, all we did was sway to the music. You even twirled me around exaggeratedly and we laughed the entire time, pretending to be serious people who knew how to dance. 

…I want to take you to heaven.

That would make my day complete.

But you and me ain't no movie stars.

What we are is what we are….

The arrangements of the song are charming while the lyrics are melancholic – a man longing to go beyond their limits for their sweetheart, yet fully content with what he has, as long as he’s with them. I don’t think the meaning sunk in that night when we danced, we were just fooling around. But as I saw you bathed in the twinkling lights coming from the christmas tree, with your black wool sweater looking all cozy, my home, for once, felt like a home. I didn’t yearn for anything else – for the winter dance, which I had been secretly wishing to go to. That summer, your uncle Wayne made you work with him at the plant as well as do his odd repair jobs here and there around the trailer park. You always came home dog tired and we didn’t see each other as often. 

But you called me almost every night. I longed for those talks, however brief they were because you were snoring and dozing off as soon as you got to unwind from work, with the telephone snug between your shoulder and ear. 

When you had a free night at last, we immediately made plans to get together and chill at your home. We rented  ‘An American Werewolf in London’ and got all the usual snacks at the convenience store. It was quite late anyway by the time we settled on the couch together, and as the movie progressed you’d fallen asleep on my lap. First time you ever did that –  I only noticed because of the little patch of drool you left on my leg. I didn’t have the heart to wake you and frankly I didn’t want to leave either, so I gingerly switched off the VCR and changed the TV input, grabbed a pillow and settled your head on my lap again. 

I turned down the volume and quietly surfed the channels, watched infomercials for a bit until I settled on – you guessed it – MTV again, because late at night is when they play the best videos – the ones of the bands we like instead of all that Madonna crap. 

Funnily enough, the video for ‘You and Me’ started playing again. I fully watched it this time, and as you slept I saw Alice Cooper playing this detective character, getting home from work to a lonely bedroom and turning on the TV to see the real version of himself singing the song to the audience. He appeared so forlorn as he pranced around his room all alone until he landed on his bed and finally went to sleep, whereupon a series of figures popped up from his dreamworld to bid him good night. Among them there were these sultry models, like those femme fatales from the noir films – the last one kissing him on the cheek before the video faded out. 

The commercials rolled on and I went on a little reverie of my own. 

I imagined that that was you instead, as the detective, and I was the model. We were in a similar position anyway, all I needed to do was move your curls out of your face and peck your cheek. But that could only happen in a fictional, far away scenario. 

You opened your eyes just in time, reminding me that you and I are no movie stars, the things we share are nothing extraordinary, but that’s more than enough for me. There was magic in the way that you opened your sleepy eyes and automatically smiled when you saw me. 

And there’s also magic every time that you’ve returned the favor since that night I let you go on dreaming, with me in the room. 

Every time I’ve fallen asleep with you, while I keep you company when you struggle to finish your homework, or you get too immersed in the details of your next campaign and I doze off, or when you’re reading Lord of the Rings to me on the days I just want to close my eyes and forget about the world with you –  I wake up to the magical feeling of being blanketed by your leather jacket that smells of cigarettes and the faint remnants of lotion and something underneath that is inexplicably you. 

There’s magic in these little things you do, Eddie. 

You make me feel at home whenever we’re together, regardless of how little we may have or what we lack, or what we’re not. 

All of that doesn’t matter. 

Because you are it for me. 

– 

“ – Are you listening, son!?” 

“Huh?” Eddie can’t make out Wayne’s words over the music blasting from his headphones but his blood runs cold over the sight of his uncle’s deepening frown. 

Wayne was a calm man through and through, only Eddie knew him when he got mad – and which signs meant that his patience was growing thinner. 

Like how his gaze turned a little bit stern and how he had his hands perched on his hips in a real, ‘disappointed dad’ stance, standing over Eddie’s crouching form underneath the kitchen sink. 

“Turn down the volume on that thing, boy, you’ll make yourself deaf!”  Wayne exclaims, signaling to Eddie’s headphones. 

“ – Sorry, pop, what did you say before?” Eddie removes them and hangs them around his neck, licking his lips nervously before facing his uncle. 

“I said we’re not through yet, got somewhere more important to be? Because you’ve rushed through all the work here and left a mess. If these pipes burst for not being sealed correctly that’s gonna be on you!” 

“ – Sorry! it’s just –” 

Wayne huffs but softens his tone upon seeing Eddie’s doe eyes flickering from one spot to the other trying to come up with an explanation. 

“What is it that’s got you so distracted?”  

“I uhhh…” 

Well there’s no point in lying to Wayne when he’s so masterfully able to see right through him after years of catching him with his hands in the cookie jar – both literally and figuratively. 

“I kinda wanted to rush to go get some rolls of film developed by Monday. It’s for uhh… it’s important.” 

“Does this have anything to do with the state I found you in last night, son?” 

Eddie averts his gaze from Wayne’s, stares right back at the leaking pipe he’s been trying to fix for the last half hour but couldn’t because he got distracted and his hands were jittery with nerves and anticipation, trying to get all the work done as quickly as possible. 

“You know we can talk about anything, my boy.” Wayne crouches down next to Eddie and soothes his hand all along his back. “What’s the matter?” 

“It's just umm, well…I’ve been listening to this all morning,” he  unpops the cassette from his walkman and hands it to Wayne, who fondly thumbs the tag on the front that had Eddie’s name written in sharpie with your handwriting.  “(Y/N) made it for me.” 

“I see…”  Wayne isn’t a man of many words, but his nearly imperceptible smirk says it all. 

“Yeah, and I wanted to give her something back, just as special. And for that I needed to get some pictures ready and while I was at it I meant to stop by Reefer Rick’s. But anyway, the lab must be closed now.” 

Wayne considers Eddie’s profile for a moment – the way his eyes are downcast and his lips all puffed up in a sincere pout. His nephew never asked for anything, never complained about the chores Wayne asked him to do and never even pulled tantrums when he was younger. So Wayne knew deep in his heart that whatever stunt he was about to pull for you was way more important than leaky pipes on a broken down trailer. 

Always been a passionate kid, his Eddie.

He cut him some slack and let him off with a gentle pat on the back. 

“If you hurry you might catch ‘em,” Wayne squeezes Eddie’s shoulder. “Go, I’ll finish off here.” 

Eddie shakes his head but his eyes betray him, flashing with utmost relief and excitement. 

“Pop, are you – are you sure?” 

“Should’ve told me all of this sooner, boy. Go on! Just drive safely, please!” 

Eddie grabs Wayne’s cheek to guide him close for a brief peck on the forehead before he’s up his feet in an instant, rushing for the keys to his van and hauling ass for downtown. 

The skies were already of a purple haze growing darker and the air crisp, meaning he only had a couple of minutes to make it before closing time. 

…Because you are it for me…

Your words dance – no, more like, crowdsurf in the pit of his mind over and over, pumping adrenaline through his veins as he races his van until he reaches Hetfield Lane, parks his van and runs until – 

“-- NO, NO, NO, NO, NO! GOD DAMNIT!” 

He bumps his fist against the glass of the store when he sees the ‘CLOSED’ sign above the weekend schedule that marks that he had been late by mere minutes! arriving exactly 5 minutes after 7pm. 

“God damnit!” He sighs to himself, looking up at the sky before rubbing his eyes and temples with annoyance. 

Fuck, if only he’d kept his good graces with Jonathan Byers instead of sulking every time he was near you, maybe he would’ve taught him how to develop film and Eddie would be able to do all of this on his own. 

Of course, he didn’t have a darkroom… 

But he could improvise one. 

Right? That’s a thing? 

FUCK! He’s so, so screwed. 

He’d have to ditch school on monday to do this and he didn’t want you to think he was avoiding you after you’d given him the mixtape, but he guesses there’s nothing else to do. 

While he’s outside, he stops by a payphone to call on Rick and ask for a favor that has to do with the second part of the surprise he’s putting together for you and one that if anyone found out about he’d be put straight in jail. But Eddie went out all the way or not at all. 

He should’ve gotten all of this ready the moment he’d had your mixtape in his hands, then he’d be able to sweep you off your feet by the first ring of the school bell on Monday morning. 

On his way back home, now that the night sky has fallen all around him, he decides to stop by your house, see if he could catch a glimpse of you from your window, knowing he won’t be able to see you until Tuesday or even Wednesday if the photos are ready by then and if Rick comes through with Eddie’s request as soon as possible. 

He parks on the sidewalk at a healthy distance and doesn't leave his car, though he’s sitting there the entire time debating on whether he should just climb up your window, but he wanted the next time you saw each other to be special, so he’d have to wait. 

Besides, he hadn’t gone through all the songs just yet. 

He waits until he catches a glimpse of your silhouette behind your drapes. 

…And there you are. 

He feels like such a pervert, just watching your figure move about your room and changing into your pajamas. He couldn’t really see you, just your shape, but that was enough to send his mind spiraling out of control and kick-starting his heart. He could tell you had changed into an oversized shirt and nothing else, making the yearning within him stirr deep in his gut. He wants nothing more than to go to you right this second, to stop wasting time. 

But the reward would be infinitely better if he waited, he knows this. 

Right now he decides to stay here hidden in the cast shadows of the streetlights, just for a little bit while he listens to the next song – which didn’t help ease the thrumming in his skin and the tightening in his pants, on the contrary. 

He already knew which song it was, and your words on this next track had been inked on his very core since he read them this morning.

HDG stories I have read so far

Human Domestication Guide, by GlitchyRobo : In a scifi space future, humanity has just lost a war to the Affini, a civilization of highly advanced plant aliens who really want to make cute, drugged up pets of their subjects. A human, the warship pilot Elvira, has just been captured & delivered to her new mistress.

The original~ What can I say? It introduces the universe very well, mostly through good dialogue, but the focus really is on the relationship between Elvira and Akash. And it's very fun to read! At least, if you're into noncon and brainwashing, do mind the tags! I like the fact that Elvira still has subconscious resistance, with her nightmares. Also, the appearance of Kazia in the latest chapters feels almost like a cool sequel or a season two, and I really hope we eventually get even more chapters!

Love Letter, by Darkfalli : A timid woman tries to hand over a love letter to her crush, a affini, and hopefully become her pet. The shy bean gets the unlikely aid of another beautiful affini with plans of it’s own.

When I got on the Discord server and asked for fluffy fic recommendations, I was told to try pretty much any of Darkfalli's fics, so I decided to read all of them by order of length. This one was the shortest, so I started with it; and b o y am I happy I did!!!

I adore this one-shot. It really is all fluff from start to finish, even though Violet (the human) is distressingly shy. The plot is funny and sweet, and I love the little plot-twist at the end! I won't spoil it, but I laughed so much x) I think it might actually be my favorite so far, because it's just so CUTE!

Anthology Domestication Guide, by Darkfalli : A collection for my smaller Human Domestication Guide stories.

I did this one next because technically each chapter is a one-shot so they count as short stories. Kinda difficult to say globally what I thought of all of them. They are all so very good, but in different ways!

This is pretty much where I started to realize the main pattern of the fandom : Human A feels bad for X reason, generally gender or mental health related => Affini B takes them in => Human A is eventually happy again

It makes me wonder if the Affini ever get tired of being dom/caretakers. I kinda want to see more about them, but I probably will in other stories.

I think my favorite of the stories in this anthology was the last one, Bird Cage. I liked seeing an Affini refuse a floret, it was a nice change and there was this good message about being aware of your worth even when people cannot return your feelings. Really liked that!

Sleepy Bitch, by Darkfalli : In the wake of an alien invasion, one woman with a sleeping disorder is too tired to care, thankfully the aliens find her very cute and are willing to help a sleepy bitch out and more :3

I found this one surprising and a bit scary, despite it all being depicted in a humorous light x) It is true that Scarlet had such a bad case of narcolepsia she was struggling to stay awake long enough to take care of herself, but her friend Faith is right, the affini should have helped her with class-Zs (sleep-related xenodrugs) and given her the choice to become a floret (or "flort" x) I loved that one). But as the author says in the notes, it was a "blatant and erotic disregard for the concept of consent in favor of uhhhhh gay" and we're not going to pretend like I have a problem with noncon x)

This was also the first time I found out about the thought-sharing feature of the haustoric implant! I really liked how confusing and yet comforting it sounded! I though it was a really cool idea.

Also, Scarlet and Faith are super cute as cat-girls!!!

Saving a Stray, by Darkfalli : A very sick young woman is saved from her illness during an alien invasion, the kind and very pretty affini who saved her offers to take her in and show her how much better her life can be as an adorable pet.

A classic one. Just a tad more sexual than the previous ones, but not by a lot. Alice and Lunaria are very cute and sweet together, and I like that Alice got her glasses back in the epilogue. Lots of bodymods too, and that's fun!

Unit 7.322 (aka Tess), by Darkfalli : In the twilight days of the Terran Accord, a bleeding edge military contractor creates an advanced war drone Unit 7.322 to fight the affini threat taking over terran space. The obedient drone is sent off to war to fulfill its purpose, to obey.

I really, really liked this one. I was expecting more violence, but it's just as good that it didn't go there. The premice is dark though. Like, dark dark. The thought of that woman's mind being almost destroyed, moreover by human scientists, to the point where she can barely have wants anymore is chilling. But it has a happy ending, like all the other stories.

The main characters are all very likeable. I especially like Penny, who was immediately compassionate and understanding towards Tess. Rain has a fun personality, and I like her bite x)

I really liked the more robotic style in writing. Of course, it makes sense, considering the POV but it feels very original.

Pet & Parcel, by Darkfalli : A dedicated rebel gets captured by the affini. Imprisoned in a pet carrier, can Vivian overthrow the Compact and restore the Terran Accord? (No)t alone, but with the help of her new beautiful loving Mistress, she might be able to defeat the aliens once and for all!

This one is still ongoing, and it's also very, very funny x) Vivian's obliviousness to the situation makes a delightful dramatic irony. It's heavy on the hypnosis, but I like that so yeah ^^

Vivian's intrusive thoughts are rather tragic though, the poor woman being constantly terrified of being eaten or sent to slave away in "the mine" is so sad, and it feels like no one is taking the time to actually convince her otherwise, even if her vet tries to reassure her several times.

The fox/horse plushie is the best character x)

Wildborn, by Darkfalli : An Anarchist Communist Commune at the fringes of Terran space gets discovered by the affini compact. A member of the commune going by the name Q and their friend Mary find themselves at the mercy of a loving but stern affini Mistress intent on breaking them into happy loving pets.

Now, I can't stop laughing everytime I think about pizza sauce x)

First one I read that isn't listed as a canon work. I'm not sure why. Maybe because it was written before there were canon guidelines, but that's just my guess.

I love the anarchist communists so much. I mean, I like communism (the concept, not the history of it, calm your political tits) and the community/family of so many different people is so lovely. I was so happy when they got to stay together!!! I kinda wish we had side-stories about Tix and Mira and Vince and everyone, but that's okay x)

Mary's fight and potty-mouth are the best and I am so glad she stays her funny rebellious self after she's "broken". The pranks she and the others get into are so much fun to read about, and the punishments are just as fun x)

Also yay, we got some part in affini POV and that was very nice!

More the Merrier, by Darkfalli : Signing up for Lab Rat for the Terran Accord ends with a gender confused individual getting two identical clone sisters. The affini that saved them has her eyes on three potential new pets that she is very intent on domesticating.

Another really, really cool concept! The fact that each clone not only loves the two others but also wishes to stay as close and similar as possible is new to me. I guess I haven't read much about clones and hive-minds before. I also really love the fact that they start learning self-love through loving their clones. I know for many people (including me), loving and taking care of someone else is a lot easier than doing the same thing for themselves, so I liked seeing how that played out.

Also, more Affini POV and I loved it! Calytrix is slightly different from most of the other Affini we have seen so far. She has to retrain herself in order not to be too controlling and respect Melanie's decisions, and it's obviously difficult, but she does! Even if she struggles with it! We're told that she even made mistakes like that in her past and that's why she's doing her best to grow past it. She feels both a little dangerous and very sympathetic, and that makes her so interesting!

Also, dollplay and dollification! I. Love. That!

Affini Compact Anthology, by Skadia : An anthology of all my shorter works set in the HDG universe!

Only two chapters so far, but I loved them so much! ^^ They are, however, very short, and everything happens very quickly. I would have loved to see Sarracenia take her time just a little bit more.

Lost & Found, by Darkfalli : A homeless, anxious, and lost woman on her way to find a job in the big city is interrupted by the terran colony getting invaded by aliens, the affini. An oddly friendly 10-foot tall plant alien finds and rescues her, and uh… wait, what’s this about human pets?

The classic story of a human being almost destroyed by the system and finding comfort through becoming a floret, but this one really takes its time to make you feel bad before the fluff. Evie, our main character, is literally crippled with trauma, to the point where she only truly becomes happy once her memories have been erased. I feel like that is pretty messed up, but it's so good to see her become happy and able to lift up others. There are also some really good moments of talk about gender and attraction, lots of good stuff. Not my favorite story, but definitely a good one!

Hi, I’m Kristina Sweeties System, and I’m a scaredy-cat-turned-horror-fan. I watched the original Scream film in November of 2021, following with the three sequels before the 2022 film, and then with the Child’s Play franchise and Killer Klowns from Outer Space. I refuse to watch the Saw series and the Final Destination series, as they contain huge triggers for me, but I’m basically game to watch anything else.

This is going to be my list of horror films that I watch for the first time, with my honest reviews of them.

- Ghoulies : 10/10. So campy and insane, a wild, dumb ride from start to finish. Also featuring Mariska Hargitay in her earliest role, good for you.

- Fright Night : 10/10. Camp. Queer. Gothic. Chris Sarandon and Amanda Bearse. Takes a spot as one of my favorite films.

- Night of the Living Dead (68) : 6/10. Pretty good for an OG horror film with practically no budget. Unintentional racial aspect is such a plus, it’s so poetic. A bit slow in parts, with unnecessarily long, awkward scenes, but great acting. They’re coming for you, Barbara.

- Night of the Living Dead (90) : 10/10. So much better pacing, loved that they let Barbara actually do shit. Also enjoyed the different ending. Good on you, 90’s film making.

- Elvira, Mistress of the Dark : 10/10. I was gagged all the way through. The scene where Elvira first meets Patty, there was so much homoerotic tension, especially now that we know Cassandra Peterson is a lesbian. Like, there is no heterosexual explanation for that.

- Nightmare on Elm Street (84) : 8/10. Loved Nancy, loved the kills, but her friends were borderline annoying at times. Tina’s death was INSANE, and I loved it. Glen’s was also a standout, the amount of blood coming out of that waterbed was so unnecessary but oh so incredible.

- Nightmare on Elm Street part 2; Freddy’s Revenge : 9/10. I’ve heard so many great and gay things about this one, and boy did it live up to its word. My favorite was the practical effects of Jesse splitting in two so Freddy could come through.

- Nightmare on Elm Street 3; Dream Warriors: 10/10. A fan favorite, and MY favorite. Love Nancy and love Kristen. This one was so much fun!

- Nightmare on Elm Street 4; Dream Master: 9/10. Absolutely obsessed with Sheila and Alice. Not a fan of the Kristen recast, but you know, you gotta do what you gotta do. Kudos to Rick’s actor for doing that fight scene all on his own. Also enjoyed the practical effects.

- Nightmare on Elm Street 5; Dream Baby: 8/10. Absolutely bananas. I was a big fan of Mark’s death, on a visual aspect. The acting felt kind of dull, soap-opera like, but I enjoyed myself over all.

- Nightmare on Elm Street; Final Nightmare: 6/10. Absolute trash film (/pos) I really like Tracy’s enthusiasm. Maggie’s storyline was so tragic yet so silly.

- X : 10/10. Absolutely fucking incredible. No notes. If anyone has anything poor to say about this film, feed ‘em to Theda.

- Pearl : 10/10. I was absolutely gagged by this film. I didn’t like it as much as I did X, but it was still a phenomenal film. Loved the connections and easter eggs from X, like where the car in the lake came from.

- Evil Dead (81) : 8/10. The practical effects were GREAT for its time, and I really enjoyed myself during this film. My only complaint is that at times, it took me a second to figure out what was happening on screen, and confused the female characters with each other.

- Evil Dead 2 : 8/10. A great continuation with a stellar, bizarre ending. I enjoyed watching Ash descend into madness with his bite, and I thoroughly enjoyed Annie’s character.

- Army of Darkness : 10/10. So camp, so beautiful. Reminds me of Robin Hood (Men in Tights) or Monty Python. So ridiculous, yet still containing so much gore and… somehow a storyline? Ash may be one of my favorite delusional himbos in horror.

- Evil Dead (2013) : 9/10. This film was INCREDIBLE, with great jumpscares, gore, and a compelling character in a format based on the original ED. The coloring of it was absolutely true to the 2010’s style of film. My only complaint is that the jumpscares were drawn out a little too long.

Evil Dead Rise: 8/10. INSANE opening scene, and has incredible kills and gore throughout. I was SO concerned for Kassie the whole film, that poor girl has SO many years of therapy ahead of her. Wish the rest of the film’s storyline had matched that opening.

- Orphan First Kill : 10/10 I watched this the day it came out, not even having seen the first Orphan film, but having enough knowledge of it for things to make sense. That final fight was INTENSE. Stand-out scene was Esther in Anna’s home.

- Cocaine Bear : 10/10. Super camp and fun, but also full of sick kills. Also I would die for Keri Russell

- Cabin in the Woods : 10/10. This was so much fun! I really liked the take on the people being behind the film’s plot, and them all just not giving a shit about the people in the “film” because they don’t see them as real people. The kills were BRUTAL, but also tame in the same sense, like you could see all of the gore and aftermath, but didn’t really witness anyone’s demise thoroughly. I actually laughed out loud when Curt hit the wall, because I knew that it was going to happen (because of the bird foreshadowing earlier). Stellar parody.

- Halloween (71) : 10/10. I love the fact that the darkness aids makes it a million times more tense, you can hardly see Michael, and it adds to it. Also loved the creepy, slowed-down version of the theme.

- Halloween 2: 7/10. Slow-paced, which made it even creepier. Love that it could have been played with the first as one film. Big fan of the jacuzzi scene. Also a big fan of Michael walking out of that explosion on fire. Not rated a ten because it didn’t really add very many new storylines to be invested in.

- Rubber: 10/10. Wish I could rate it higher. This movie was absolute trash (/pos) and there wasn’t a moment where I wasn’t laughing at how absurd it was. Incredible watch.

Easter prompts (I have to take Fabio out sadly cause... well He is out of commision for April for a certain reason I won't specify, he will be back after april but over the month he mainly be in his room)

🎨 - our muses decorate some eggs

Somewhat he felt nostalgic as Ellis and Grim sat next to him preparing everything for painting some eggs for easter... he rather chose this place than his own dorm, given how messy some his dorm mates were compared to the calm atmosphere of the ramshackle dorm. Especially cause he knows the Ghost kids probably make much messes during this.

Instead he could now get some peace and listen to Ellis ramblings about the last time Fennec took her to one of the Polisionalles Theater plays and what she knew of the original stories... as he continued to let his brush run over the eggs.

"Say Fennec, how come you know these patterns anyways... they are on your clothing as well?"

"Its... the last memories I have of my parents and my brother... in the end I am one of the last survivors of our tribe... so I want to keep its legacy alive."

"I see... its also why you have those wings right?"

A firm not from him, part of his hand trembled thinking back to his brother... for one it was a reason why before he was annoyed being stranded in this world but since meeting Ellis it wasn't that bad of a detour... yet he still hadn't forgotten his goal... to either confirm his brothers death or find a way to save him from his stone condition... as Ellis noticed his uneasyness she put her hand on his.

"How about I find a way to make you smile instead? Whatever way you go I will support you."

"Right you said as much... you are also a reason I want to always come back in this place... even if its not my original home."

"Fennec..."

"What I can be honest too from time to time?"

He avoided his gaze with a red face as she nodded.

"Then lets get this work done and after that, how about we get distracted with watching a movie."

"Sounds fine by me."

He loved when she smile that bright... to him it truely was a beacon of hope despite being still kinda lost in this world... and even if grim made grunts of annoyances... he prefers this atmosphere much more than to his own dorm.

🥞 - our muses make and/or enjoy brunch

A bit of surprised was on the priestess face as Alice did invite her over for a brunch... of course she showed many signs of interest in the lady but hoped nobody was ever aware... she prayed that nobody would notice her interest... In somewhat of a worry she walked into this dorm... many members putting her off as she walked by them and ignored them.

Yet here she sat down on a prepared table with wine, some fancy dishes and looking up respectfully at the tall lady...

"Try some, I would be curious about your opinions."

It wouldn't be that bad to try a bit of the glass... after all the gods themself endulged in a bit of wine. And so Elvira took a small sip feeling somewhat satisfied.

"I am impressed really... you own up to your reputation but I still wonder, why invited a simple devout woman as I?"

The Vampiress got up her seat and leaned down, putting a hand on Elviras chin, getting her flustered.

"Your curious eyes are fun to see... even if it would be better you are more honest about your feelings."

A shiver went down her spine... somewhat she enjoyed the attention yet.

"It would be a sin to pursue this feeling... hence I refuse... nothing can stray me from my paths."

"Nothing you say... that sounds like a challenge to me... "

The priestess tried to face her eyes yet grew weak quickly... feeling somewhat mezmerized by how confident she looked at her... maybe the sin was more tempting than she thought yet... her head was stubborn, she quickly turned to the food and took a crumb of a bread.

"I appreciate your concern but Alice... I admit I took a liking to you yet I still can't gather my thoughts... I am torn between two sides..."

"Well I guess then I have to be a little more convincing towards you."

It really was like she was toying with her heart... but it was also like she enjoyed it a little... after the food she prayed... hoping that god wouldn't judge her too hard for her thoughts and feelings.

Dear Eddie,

So I hope you liked that rendition of ‘Fever’. I know you’re partial to The Cramps (even though I’m happy to have finally gotten you more into punk with The Misfits and Siouxsie, no matter how many times you whined about being more of a Ramones guy yourself when it came to that) but that was just the right introduction to you, I feel.

Your introductory track If you were a character in a murder mystery show. Or the sci-fi flicks we like to rent on saturday nights.

Please know I did my best to include nothing but bands I know you love (with a few exceptions here and there) Anway.

Scorpions really say it best. There’s no one like you, there really isn’t.

Remember the very first time we hung out? Like, really hung out after school?

You asked me to be a replacement for your D&D campaign, early on in my freshman year. I had absolutely no clue about what you were talking to me about, but you were so patient and eager to explain to me. Your visible excitement when talking about something you’re passionate about was just too endearing and I couldn’t say no. But I was so anxious to interfere with your friends’ fun. I felt like I wouldn’t fit in. Well, you made me feel at ease right away, and I couldn’t have been more grateful at the time. I had no one at that point and you know how bad my social anxiety tends to get.

From then we started doing all kinds of crazy shit you pulled me into, as well as the easier going evenings you accompanied me to.

I became an actual Hellfire member, even if I don’t play as regularly as the rest of you, and then we went to the drive-in to that double feature of The Blob and Invasion of The Body Snatchers. I got in so much trouble for getting home late. But time flew right by as we stayed back and discussed the movies in detail, over a couple of cherry slushies from the nearest gas station. I mean, who else has such extensive knowledge on prosthetics make-up, special effects and alien lore than you?

I’m telling you, one of a kind.

Where else am I supposed to find someone to share an evening with my face full of popcorn as we laugh at the Gene Simmons and Ozzy Osbourne cameos in that god-awful horror movie you made me watch because of all the satanic-panic around it, and you wanted to see your icons in it. It was so bad I can’t even remember its name, but the main character had your same name and hairstyle. I teased you all that week, saying that the records you listen to had hidden satanic messages that would unleash an army of the undead – just like your look-alike did in the movie.

And how could I forget that Halloween when we got together at your trailer to watch the Elvira Special and we waited ‘till midnight to catch the live transmission of the Alice Cooper concert that was playing right after. I think that was the first time I got really, really stoned, real falling-into-the-sixth-dimension-kinda stoned. You said you had reserved that special stash just for that night with me. I’m not sure if Alice Cooper does put up that great of a show or if the experience was enhanced by our shared daze.

We were inseparable by the time I went to see your band for the first time and got invited to the rehearsals afterwards and everytime your friends ditched school and you didn’t want to be all alone at the cafeteria, we’d sneak out to our secret spot in the woods.

We’ve spent so much time together that when we have to part because I need to study, or have other errands or family shit to attend to… I always imagine that you’re there with me. I want you to be there.

All those times, I couldn’t wait for you to call or randomly show up and save me.

Since I met you, Mondays don’t seem so dreadful anymore. They signal a whole new week of adventures by your side.

I can’t pin-point when it struck me, but. One day I realized that I simply wanted to share everything with you. Ughhh, that sounds corny as hell. You bring out the sappy bitch in me, Munson, and I hate you for that.

(Not really, I could never…)

But I’ve fantasized about sharing morning coffees and nightly routines. I wondered what it would be like to simply inhabit the same space – to have something that is totally our own and no one else’s. Something a little bit deeper than what we have now.

But that’s just silly of me to think about, isn’t it?

I hope you don’t think so.

Eddie is frozen on the spot by the end. Doesn’t quite know how to process what he’s read, what he hears in a song that he’s enjoyed countless times, instead now all he can think about is how you relate the lyrics to your own experience.

He’s elated of course.

But – does this all mean, what he thinks he means? Do you really like him like that?

He doesn’t believe it. Despite it being inked in your letter so clearly.

It’s like winning the lottery, he supposes – he can’t quite manage his emotions upon learning that he’s won it, so he just sits there, looking at nothing. Can’t decide what he’s gonna do with the top prize. And boy, you’re really it.

He does know one thing though: he’s the biggest fucking jackass in all of Hawkins.

In all of fucking Indiana.

He’s been trying to reign back on admitting his own feelings for fear of ruining your friendship, as well as tricking himself into believing that you deserve someone better than him. Someone other than a burnout, a freak, a nobody…

You’re a straight-A student, meanwhile he’s been finding himself stuck and unable to graduate for nearly three years now. You read all these fancy books while he reads stupid fantasy novels. You live in a decent enough neighborhood while he shares a broken down trailer with his uncle. He’d never forgive himself if he was the guy to drag you down, to set you back – no, he wants nothing but the absolute best for you. You have a crush on Chris Sarandon in Fright Night for fuck’s sake! you totally deserve your very own Jerry Dandridge – vampire or not – he often thinks.

Why would you ever want to look at him in that light?

And now that he knows that you feel the same way…fuck, he’s wasted so much time, what an idiot.

He rewinds the mixtape to listen to the song once more, while he picks up his way home again, and suddenly all the memories that you’ve lovingly described flood his heart.

Of course he remembers in great detail. Especially because you had caught his eye right away. It wasn’t everyday that you saw a Hawkins girl wearing a denim jacket with an Alice Cooper patch on its sleeve.

He hadn’t approached you right then and there, merely observed from afar — as he was a bit of a voyeur himself – tried to get a feel for your character from a safe distance. What kind of person were you?

You write about him being mysterious, but you were no open book yourself. Quiet and reserved but not in a bad way in the least. Your vibe was calm and sweet, you kept to yourself and radiated peace, expertly avoiding drama and huge crowds. But there was something underneath there, and he knew it from the way your nails were painted black, your jeans were just a little bit torn up like his and how your school supplies were covered in gnarly looking stickers. By the end of your first week in school, he’d caught sight of the Elvira poster in your locker and it gave him the perfect opening to speak to you.

He swears your face was illuminated then, and instantly realized how you mirrored one another, so he’d be damned if he let you go after that.

He did what he’d wished someone had done for him in the beginning: invite him to be part of his little kingdom, rather than be left to find his kin on his own, costing him a lot of pain in the process.

That halloween night that you mentioned was specifically special to him. He’d had you cuddled right beside him on his old, worn out couch, while you watched the TV. Right under his arm, you were. He’d turn to look at you and swoon, never having seen you so unabashedly happy. He wanted to kiss you so badly then but refrained, having been certain that it would ruin the moment.

But he was so, so close.

You were right there: cheeks brushing against his neck every time you turned, and eyes bright as you looked up at him and gave him a smile of a hundred watts. He lost control each time he let himself just rest his nose on the crown of your head.

He doesn’t even realize that by the time he gets to his trailer, the next song had begun to play and his heart constricts at the forlorn sounding guitar riff and Vince Neil’s melancholic voice.

He stays inside his van to listen to the song with eyes closed, imagining just what could have been written in regards to this one.

He guesses your next letter will be of a sadder tone, but he waits until he’s in his room to read it.
