Two wandering Moonhorses in their natural habitat - the Narr-Vaan Desert ~
They are probably the most unrealistic of all my creatures, but I love these skeletal guys - they are so surreal! Through drawing or sculpting them in all the detail is such a headache…
It took some courage (and sleepless nights…) to finally finish this sculpt.
Made in Blender ~

A little girl from church peered over my shoulder to see in my sketchbook. She saw Felix and must’ve really liked the way he looked. The next time I went to church she came up to me and asked if I could draw “that dragon” for her. I asked her what dragon and she said “the one with all the wings”. So I told her “oh, that’s Felix, and I can certainly draw him for you.”
I really hope she likes it! I think it turned out nice.
If you like my art, please check my pinned post for commission info :>

Plantaethropes.
Plantaethropes are plants that have evolved for bipedalism. This why plantae - thropes are not phytanthropes, the turning of a person into a plant human.
Plantaethropes are different from Wereplants, which shift under specific conditios instead of seasonal, and look more like a plant when they do.
Plantaethropes have one head, two arms with five fingers for tool use, two legs with two long toes, a toothless mouth and two protective permanet psuedo-petals that have fully controlled movement, unlike later petals. They do not have eyeballs, but they have sensors in their skin that can hear, feel, taste, smell, and see. They do not have brains, so while they can collect information, they cannot store it.
Plantaethropes come in different colors, and subspecies. Their ages are based in seasonal cycles, and however many times the bulb, or the internal seed, has regrown itself, is the amount of cycles they have lived through. Winter to Spring is one cycle, and while some are still on their 20th cycle, many have lived over many centuries just from regrowing as an exact copy over and over.
Pollinators can refer to the genders that plantaethrope assign to the person or being that helps with pollination. Butterflies are designed less to pollinate, but to forge and spread by proxy. Bees inherently go for pollen and nectar. Hummingbirds stick their beaks into the flower for nectar and gets pollen. Butterflies are women, Bees are nonbinary, and hummingbirds are men. Since Plantaethropes are not picky, these "genders" are not boxes, but categoization based on behavior, and are subject to change if one behaves differently. To plantaethropes, it does not matter.
The internal system of a plantathrope is entirely made from thick layers of nectar gel with veins of water spread through out the layers. The top layer called the skin usually has tiny speckles of white called pores. these pores release the excess water into the atmosphere by sweating. During the seasonal cycles, plantaethropes will notice that the nectar gel gets thinner during spring and summer, leaving the body weak due to extreme heat. The gel thickens back to normal in winter due to extreme cold temp.
Thin hairs grow excessively across the body to accomodate for the growth of sensitive parts, such as petals and the blooming of the flower.
During the budding season, which lasts a few weeks while the signs of frost begin to melt, plantaethropes preen and pick their petals for stronger ones to grow in. They tend to find saunas and moisture to be everything. They sweat a lot more, and feel itchy, so a good skin soak does them good. Growing pains like bigger thighs and thicker bellies bring in aggression.
When the flower enters late bloom, and opens all the way, a plantaethrope is sexually mature. Dependent on if the flower is duosex/bisex or unosex, the internal organ that grows alongside the flower during budding season is a large pistil/carpel. It dies when the flower dies, and regrowns when it regrows.
