Nate looks up to see Dan pulling a knit blanket from the top of one of his boxes. 

“Possibly,” he jokes. “My mom bought me that when I moved into the freshman dorms, so it was at least five hundred bucks.” 

Dan’s face twists into an adorable horrified grimace, and the blanket drops back into the cardboard box. 

Nate laughs, abandoning the pile of CDs he’s sorting through to cross the room. He grabs the blanket in question himself, and wraps it around Dan’s shoulders. 

“Give into it, Humphrey,” he teases, pulling his boyfriend closer by the blanket he’s got him wrapped in. “You know you want to.”

Dan narrows his eyes, only able to hold the expression for a second before he breaks, mouth quirking up into a smile. 

“But what happens when I inevitably spill coffee on this?”

Nate tugs him closer, glances his lips over Dan’s cheek, soft and warm to the touch. “Then I’ll pay for drycleaning.”
