Know...dont get me wrong, this is fucked...but like in comparison to the ways John expects other people to escape traps, broken fingers really aren't that bad (and if you watch the trailer, it's just one hand, not even both)

Like again, dont get me wrong, it'd definitely suck and hurt like a bitch, but in comparison to self-amputation, being burned alive,, cutting off chunks of flesh, digging through someone's intestines, etc. it could definitely be worse

and also if you watch the trailer, the way the finger "breaks" is by bending it at the knuckle, which is funny because I knew at least 3 double jointed kids in school who could do that exact thing as like a party trick. Like imagine John setting up this entire trap and not taking into account the fact the guy may be double jointed and hes like "fuck wait this wasn't supposed to happen"
