Lily potter is sitting in the corner, of her baby’s bedroom, by the door trying to calm and shush the both of them, while she hears James going down, because of Peter. She can hear Voldemort ordering Pete to go upstairs.

She knows she won’t live, she knows this is her last day. She suddenly thinks back to her sister, saying this, magic, would be the death of her. Oh god, she was right.

Peter opens the door and turns around to meet Pete’s eyes. (It’s Pete’s eyes, but it isn’t Pete.)

Then it clicks in Lily’s mind: he did it. He was the spy, the traitor, the one who killed Marlene. Suddenly she thinks;

She’s hiding in the corner of a room, sobbing trying to shush herself, she knows her family is dead, and she knows she won’t survive.

And now she knows how Marlene McKinnon felt, Now she knows how Joan of Arc felt.

ok so then how do you picture sirius?

mainly my personal image of him draws a lot from 60s, 70s & 80s rockstars like Freddie Mercury, Marc Bolan, Robert Plant, Joan Jett, Pat Benatar. Lots of eyeliner and really tight pants and animal print and leather.

But also most of the time it really depends on the fic. We are so lucky to have such amazing writers in this fandom that describe our favourite characters so beautifully and I like to let my mind go the way of the fic ya know????

Also I eat up EVERY piece of Sirius fanart, I just love love love how fluid our interpretations of him can be!!!!

although nothing new harry potter is good cause…..ya know…..where the money goes……the evil lady…… but with that being said - im like AT LEAST make 2010s tumblr happy and make it like marauders or something? or Next gen? ANYTHING other than the fucking OG 7 book series. It hasn’t been long enough (like you said) to warrant an original reboot. like jfc

i remember way back in like 2010s tumblr when harry potter was at like the absolute peak of its power (literally like every other post on your dash would be something hp related) and even way back then people couldn’t fathom there being an entire series reboot so quickly and tbh the only time i remember that actually being a discussion is people just saying that it would be nice if they did a reboot like 30+ years down the line and the OG cast would come back to play hogwarts professors or something (people particularly wanted daniel to come back to play dumbledore) ofc that’s obviously not going happen with this reboot series being only ten years out

but honestly i think one of the biggest reasons that the reboot is even happening in the first place is because hp in general really has gone down in popularity and is no where near the way it was even five years ago. the prequels (fantastic beasts) and the sequel play with voldemorts daughter (lmao) pretty much tanked at keeping the harry potter hype up because they were both a giant mess and didn’t keep fan’s interest. that plus joan’s ignorant political commentary on trans rights has also continued to really dampen the harry potter craze in the past few years. although i guess games like hogwarts legacy still did well at selling just based on nostalgia alone. so i see this as basically a way joan and the other powers to be to get hp back into the spotlight which in turn = more $$$$$

Hey uhhh don’t know if this’ll work lol but I read a fanfic ages ago it was Sirius Black x OC on wattpad and I remember it was really good and I want to re-read it but can’t find it again the only details I remember were that In one chapter the OC and Sirius ran around the halls of Hogwarts blasting Bad Reputation by Joan Jett and the Blackhearts and in another they serenade each other in Hogsmeade to Sweet Talk by Saint Motel (which might be a scene from a James x OC now I think about it if you know that one great too lol)
