#like at least Hawks does ask about Shoto's scar

Note
On Hawks, I think his wasted potential is in his use as the Endeavor supporter. He should have been allowed to have been more hurt by the reveal. When your idol turns out to have a lot in common with your abuser(s) that should be upsetting. Ya know. He was kinda blocked from being more complicated for the ease of Endeavor's redemption arc. In that sense he was robbed. As were other characters but him especially.
Oh, I think Hawks and Alicent have wasted potential, but I was more frustrated with people saying "x character has such wasted potential because they weren't written the exact way I personally wanted".
Many of the complaints I see about Hawks being wasted as a character come from people who wanted him to turn villain or be portrayed as a corrupt Hero. They aren't arguing about what could have made him a better character in the direction Hori decided to take him in.
As for being stuck as Enji's cheerleader, I do think it needed more set up to work better, but I understand why Hori went the direction he did with it. It's not just that it eases Enji's redemption arc, it also cuts down the amount of time he needs to spend on the manga, keeps the the Todoroki sub-plot more centered on the family, while also helping not rehash the same arguments/growth other characters have already done in this side plot.
Also, Hori has a tendency to tell, not show due to his rush to get this story finished. He wants to reiterate for the audience that Enji is trying and is helping during the AfO fight. Having Hawks be the one to think about how Enji is changing, or tell AfO about how Enji's attack was successful despite his regeneration, is an easy way to make sure readers understand Enji's arc. It's clunky, but I will admit that what Hawks says about Enji is far more backed up by what we're shown then what some of the villains have said.
I think it would have been nice to get more interactions between Enji and Hawks post first war. Having one scene at least where Hawks talks to Enji alone, wanting even more conformation on his change, or asking what made him change at all would have actually gone a long way. Heck, having Hawks reply to Enji steadfast desire to be better by saying "maybe I gave up on my parents to soon", only for Enji to tell him he had/has no obligation to forgive or help his parents would be even better.
It would make Hawks' support of Enji feel more earned. Then he's not just supporting the Hero Endeavor, but Enji as the better person he's trying to be. It'd also be really nice to have Enji help Hawks for once, even if it was just with some words. There relationship has been more one sided since the end of the first war arc, and I think that makes Hawks talking Enji up, feel even worse.
Enji showed genuine care for Hawks and worried about him at least twice during the fighting. Given it was his son who burned Hawks to the point his wings were permanently damaged it makes sense he'd feel guilty. A nice call back to that hospital scene after the Highend fight would have been brilliant. Enji doesn't hold a grudge against Hawks for putting him in danger back then (because now he'd know about the spy thing) and Hawks wouldn't blame Enji for Touya burning him. Also maybe just throw in Enji hyping Hawks in some way during the AfO fight.
I don't think Hori had to have a huge, long drawn out thing with Hawks being super upset with Enji. He just had to have some sort of scene between them that showed that Hawks was hurt by the reveal, but have Enji win back his trust in someway. Then just continue that so Enji shows just as much faith in Hawks during the AfO fight. It doesn't feel like a one sided relationship that Enji didn't even have to repair that way.
And this sort of fix still keeps Hawks in the story the way Hori wants. He's can still hype Enji so the audience is reminded about his arc/ contributing to the AfO fight, but it's just better set up and organic. It's not changing Hawks entire role in the story.

Have any of the higher ranking heroes looked at endeavor oddly because of dabi's reveal or have they questioned him at all about it? If not, why do you think that is? Or does hori not want to explore those areas. I'm not sure but I would feel more for hawk's support and inasa's comment about shoto's dad if it felt like endeavor's public image wasn't solely damaged for citizens and instead with other major characters or heroes or even aizawa. It may not be their business I guess, but if he's out there on the field I can't help but feel like they're should be some doubt, but perhaps they just need to get things done I guess.
Another topic, but yeah, I agree with you where you responded to another anon about shoto getting an actual apology and I've too accepted that it probably won't be a priority and maybe endeavor knowing he was wrong is enough for hori I guess. Do you think shoto will ever voice his own victim hood?
Sorry for the long ask and if you've gotten these questions before. Have a great day/night? Thank you.
Ironically the only pro hero who seems to "confront" Endeavor to some extent is Hawks when he "lightly admonishes" him, expresses his shock and asks about Shouto's scar. It seems like for everyone else Endeavor taking the podium at the press conference and publicly apologizing is good enough to move on.
I guess with Japan falling apart, an "old" domestic abuse history is just not a priority - though that can be true to RL I guess where people pay attention to these stories more as a celebrity gossip and not really a call for real action or change.
As for Shouto, I don't really expect him to say more than what he already did, back in Ch 247 when he actually acknowledged at least that his dad was beating him.
But we are very much in the endgame now and the kids are all stepping up as heroes, taking the baton from the previous generation and I think the story will focus on their hero selves. I expect that to be the case for Shouto too - who will fulfill his role as "hero of the family" and hopefully will get a chance also to step up as a hero for the public.
Realistically, the type of abuse he suffered will keep haunting him into his adult life - but that's more the territory of many well-written fanfics.

How suspicious do you think our yandere BNHA boys would get when their darlings get hit with the stockholders syndrome too soon?

TIP-JAR
BAKUGO KATSUKI - KACHAN
Katsuki is full of himself.
However, he is insecure and therefor highly unstable with his temper. And because of this he has a very hard time understanding how his darling is able to thoughtlessly curl up on his chest as though he isn’t a ticking time bomb.
He’s very suspicious to say the least.
He doesn’t know whether he wants to confront her about it or not, or whether he maybe should confront her about it, for her sake. He doesn’t exactly think it’s healthy for her to be smiling so sweetly at him, when he has the power to burn her to a crisp and the fact that he’s regrettably shown countless times that he is very much capable of acting on his temperance.
He feels as though they skipped some important part in her readjustment, and because it’s all built on an unstable unfinished and rushed structure, that it will all crumble and fall to ruble around him.
But, the feeling of incompletion is hard to give any attention when she snuggles so softly into his side, small adorable snores indicating how she’s truly and indiscreetly completely comfortable.
TODOROKI SHOTO
He knows her loving attitude is genuine, and welcomes it all with open arms.
He bares little to no reservation for caution whatsoever.
He rather celebrates the fact the she is finally as devoted to him as he is to her. His heart sweltering on the account that they can now both drown in bliss by each other again and again with as little resistance as possible.
He never once finds her clingy needy nature any suspicious, knowing it all to be genuine since that’s the only destination you'll find yourself when you’ve been locked in the same room with a person who brings you to your unraveling again and again.
And he's isolated her from everything and everyone except himself, forcing her to reach that blissed-out state again and agin, leaving her with him and only him to latch onto both while reaching her max and when coming crashing back down again.
It only takes a few days of pure and utter worship to make someone forget who they are and forgive who they’re with.
After all, humans are intimate creatures, not made for solidarity.
MIDORIYA IZUKU - DEKU
Izuku’s a good teacher.
He knows he is once his darling starts greeting him at the door like he taught her.
In fact, he’s such a good teacher it's hard to tell when it all started becoming so very heartfelt. Giving him his jacket whence leaving for work in the morning, having stopped eyeing the door so yearningly and instead keeping eyes locked on him, smile bright and present on her face.
The yearning is still there, he can tell, however her focus has shifted.
Compliments and sweet sentiments come to her lips like second nature now.
She’s constantly looking for his approval and he’d be lying if he said it didn’t make him want to skip patrol and stay right there with her, giving her all the praise he could muster and watch her take it all so humbly, grateful and so very happy to have pleased him.
DABI - TODOROKI TOUYA
It was expected, however no less appreciated.
He knew his darling would fall into his little trap. She was bound to crack under his game of good cop and bad cop sooner or later.
Fear and pain are such great tools, but so is cooing and snuggling, and they work best together when creating that adorable chaotic confusion that makes his darling so lenient in fear of punishment and grateful for every lick of mercy he has to offer.
She’s so rigid without him, unstable, sporadic, confused, so utterly lost and afraid and unable to stop crying.
And well... dependence isn’t that far away from love, at least not in his mind.
Besides, feeling her crawl up beside him in bed, limbs shaking as small smooth hands wrap around and touch ever so softly on his scarred flesh, feeling needed can almost feel better than feeling loved.
SHIGARAKI TOMURA
He living for it.
Suspicion can go fuck itself for all he cares.
She’s smiling, she’s laughing, she’s even gotten so good at playing console she’s gaining on his records in all his videogames!
He’s never shared that with anyone but meaningless nobodies he convinced were somebodies that pale in comparison when seeing her roar beside him in the fit of winner’s delight.
She’s beautiful, like what he expects the sun to look like, but she must be better because the sun always makes his eyes water and red in irritation.
It really couldn’t be any better. How she runs her fingernails through his silver locks in that motherly tender fashion. Letting him rest his head on her lap or chest listening to the mellow thumps of her heartbeat, it sounding so calm and comfortable despite his presence on top of her. It’s a good reassurance.
TAKAMI KEIGO - HAWKS
It was suspicious which is why he had his guard up.
However, his other instincts told him she was being truthful in her shift in behaviour. And he’d be lying if he said the change wasn’t pleasant.
She was always throwing broken dinner plates at him before, snarling and growling and screaming and roaring like some inhuman beast, feral energy all being concentrated in nasty comments or biting and scratching and clawing and kicking and fighting, fighting, fighting.
Until… nasty comments turned a different type of nasty, the biting was accompanied by kisses, scratching and clawing was done to hold onto him instead of pushing him away, kicking turned into wrapping her legs around him.
They still fought, brutally, viscously, ferally, yet the fight had become so very carnal all of a sudden.
SHINSO HITOSHI
He had no need to be skeptical, he'd enforced her honesty from the get-go, embedding the command into her brain over and over until he knew it stuck, her being unable to tell him even the slightest lie.
It makes her affection that much sweeter.
When he asks her if she wants anything, knowing how she’s unable to hold back because he’s made it so, how she just has to spill her guts, all her little secrets flooding from her mouth about all the depraved things she has grown so used to and become so attached to and wants and needs from him.
How she’ll look at him, biting her lip despite it serving as no help for the oncoming confessions she’s about to shamefully voice.
He knows that it’s far from love still.
He knows how love is cultivated through more than just lust, but the ambition cannot be that far out of his reach when she answers his question when knowing how she's allowing him to play with her like putty in his hands, as though she trusts him or doesn’t care or… wants him to.
CHISAKI KAI - OVERHAUL
If there something Kai hates, it’s lies.
Lies, deceit and dishonesty are all just forms of impurity.
His darling cannot be allowed to lie to him.
She cannot be tainted with that filth and treachery.
But... it’s hard to support his suspicions when at night she snuggles up to him on her own volition, instead of having him drag her into position.
He’s at a loss for what to do. Because, despite his brain telling him it’s too soon for her to be acting like that, his heart melts when she looks up at him with that doe-eyed look, telling him how she missed him today, how she felt lonely without him there, how she wanted nothing more than to help him wash the day off his body and out of his hair, to help him get clean and safe.
It takes time for him to trust her words, yet her smile is just too genuine and her eyes too bright and blinding for him to want to continue pushing her advances away.

Tumblr media
Blood, blood, blood.
That was your nights. Killing off rogue members, bagging their bodies and collecting their quirks for the mafia you are currently leading.
Yes, you heard that right; stealing their quirks.
Thanks to the technological developments the 'company' you owned, Ahnia Technologies, have made throughout the years, you have managed to steal quirks without having a quirk itself.
All thanks to a small gun that fits in your pocket.
The illegal business of stealing and giving quirks to others since the fall of All for One is completely dominated by your mafia now.
And it all happened under a company that 'promised' the betterment of Japan and the world.
To be fair, you did invent some stuff for the safety of the country, but they worked better in collecting data on people, be it heroes, villains or viligantes.
"Persephone, you need to leave now. Shigaraki is waiting for you," said Toga, fiddling with the knife in her hand.
Ah yes, your villain name; Persephone - The bringer of death.
Your name was known throughout the streets of Musutafu, yet no one really knew how you looked like, thanks to the power of makeup. You never covered the scars you've received throughout the years of villainy. The scars you bore are the scars you wear with pride, along with your Haladie sword and your retractable iron hand claws.
That's all they knew. That was Persephone.
After all, who would think the CEO of Ahnia Technologies would be the leader of Diavolos; the strongest mafia in Japan?
No one knew the sweetheart of the science industry, L/N Y/N, was Persephone, and no one will. Those who knew are long gone - be it by God's hands or yours.
You got up from your seat at the bar, thanking Kurogiri for the Whiskey on the rocks.
Walking towards the inner room, you spotted Dabi leaning against the wall, toying with the staples on his face. Beside him stood Hawks, eyes gawking at you, taking mental notes. In the middle of the room sat Shigaraki Tomura. The sky blue-haired man with scars all over his neck paid close attention to your Haladie sword, blood dripping off of each end.
"Killing spree?" He question, a smug tone ringing off of him.
You turned to him, a smile graced your face. "As always."
He got off his chair and walked towards you, raising his gloved hand to you. You snickered when you saw your company's name written on the wristband. So they do have some money.
"Pleasure to meet you again," he said, slowly taking off the prosthetic hand on his face. You took the gloved hand in yours, shaking it slowly.
"I'll just get straight into it; we need some quirks for these Nomus." Soon came gigantic Nomus, their hands swinging as they bumped into places. The ground shook as they slowly walked in. Their purple skin filled with little holes thanks to all the testing the League of Villains did on them.
"Aren't they strong enough?" you questioned, "Besides, I don't believe they have the mental capacity to use quirks that require the orders from the quirk user itself-"
You were cut off by Shigaraki's ungloved hand touching your iron hand claws. "I just asked for quirks, not your opinion." He said, his red eyes staring dead into yours.
You extended your iron claws, every single one going through Shigaraki's hand. Your empty hand withdrew your Haladie sword and aimed it straight at his throat. You began to smirk, looking at his scared expression.
"If you wanted to fuck up the very thing you spent hours on developing on, be my guest. However, don't drag my fucking business with it," You said, venom dripping off your words.
While you stared at your sword, you spotted a small heart engraved on your wrist.
Your soulmate wanted to cheer you up.
You remembered how badly you wanted to meet your soulmate when you were younger. Your parents smiled as you showed the small things your soulmate did. A little drawing of a smile on your wrist, them drawing a flower...
Then you were brought into the family business.
The happy-go-lucky girl you were back then vanished almost instantly.
The training, the killing sprees, the interrogations - it all erased your humanity.
Yet, the need to meet your soulmate always stayed.
Somehow, they always knew when you were having a bad day and knew just how to make it better.
You were already 24. The usual age you meet your soulmate was 18. You wanted to give up so many times, but the small things they did stopped you every time.
You awoke from your daze the instant you felt a temperature change.
You removed the sword from Shigaraki's throat and retraced the iron blades.
"We're never having business transactions ever again, Shigaraki. Not after this buffoonery of a display you've done today. Consider this a warning; mess with me and you'll be in a casket the next day." You said, leaving the room.
But it was too late.
All the Pro Heroes surrounded the area around the bar. An ice wall was built around both Kurogiri and Toga along with Eraserhead cancelling both their quirks.
On instinct, you ejected one of your blades to hit Aizawa on the cheek, forcing him to drop his stare on Kurogiri and Toga. They never did anything bad to you, they were good people.
"Go, don't worry about me!" You screamed at Kurogiri, knowing he'd try to take you with the rest of the League to safety. He needed to protect them, I can protect myself.
He nodded and proceeded to warp to the smaller room, take the rest of the League members and warp away.
You felt the heroes run towards you. You smirked, knowing that you could easily take them down.
Suddenly, you felt a sharp feather around your neck, slowly digging into your skin.
"You aren't escaping, baby bird," Hawks whispered as he removed your gear, leaving you powerless. You soon felt a needle being pushed into your arm, darkness slowly engulfing you.
You woke up in an interrogation room. Your hands were chained to the table in front of you. The mismatched arrangement of the bricks that had chipped through the years reminding you of your years under your father.
That sick man ruined you.
That sick man ruined your family.
That sick man made you the revolting thing you are now; a fucking villain who killed more lives than a bomb.
You began laughing to yourself. You became this to stay away from the dark room he used to shut you in, yet here you are; in another fucking dark room but with chains now!
What the fuck is my life!?
I- I am just so fucked up, aren't I?
At least I killed that son of a bitch.
At least I burned that fucking house.
At least my mom died before she could see me become this - his masterpiece.
You soon began to write on your arm, hoping your soulmate was awake. "Hey, you awake?"
You soon felt a warm sensation on your arm. "Yeah. You good?"
You chuckled. At least they care. "Nope. I fucked up this time, and pretty badly," you began writing on your upper arm, letting the words earlier slowly fade.
"Well, if you want to vent, you know where to write," they replied with a small smiley-face at the end.
"How was yours?" you asked, directing the conversation to something more positive, hopefully.
"It went great! I finally managed to catch something I really wanted to catch for a long time!" they replied, their writing slowly moving diagonally. At least they had a good day.
Your happy trail of thoughts was interrupted when Brainwasher, Eraserhead and Shoto entered the room. The smile you had turned into a scowl when you saw them, especially Brainwasher.
"Wow Aizawa, is today bring your kid to work day?" you said, teasing the Pro Hero. You knew that Shinsou was the worst person to deal with in an interrogation setting. He could easily control you the minute you respond to him.
'Let's just talk to Aizawa and Todoroki then. If I don't respond to Shinsou, I'll be just fine. Oooh - better yet, just keep quiet,' you thought to yourself as the three heroes proceeded to sit down. 'Messing with them would just make my day better, anyway.'
"Mind telling us who you are, Persephone?" Shoto began, trying to be polite.
"So I am Hades' wife. I am the Goddess of Spring, daughter of Demeter. I am also considered the Harbinger of Death," you said, leaving them annoyed. "I guess you all don't like Greek Mythology!" you said, smiling.
They tried to get you to talk, but every single time they pried, you just kept on laughing, slowly pushing their limits. Shinsou tried getting you to talk to him, but you just stared at Shoto and Aizawa, laughing louder and louder.
"I swear to God, what's the fuck is wrong with you?!" Eraserhead screamed, hitting the metal table.
You were waiting for this question. With a smile, you replied, "Everything."
Aizawa saw something in you with that answer; the unresolved anger you had towards someone. He knew if he hit just the right nerve, you'd spill everything.
"Why? Did Daddy fuck you up?" He said, a smug tone lacing his words. You saw Shinsou and Todoroki turn to face Aizawa with a bewildered expression.
You, however, just stared at him blankly. "How did you know?"
You felt numb. This man just sat beside you for a few minutes, yet he already knew how badly you were fucked up by that fucktard.
"Yes, Daddy fucked me up. He made me kill people at the age of 5. He didn't let me go to school because he wanted me to only kill for him, nothing else. I may be quirkless, but he knew that I would do just the same - actually more - damage a person with a lousy-ass quirk would."
Their eyes widened when you revealed that you were quirkless.
"What? Shocked that a regular person could kill over 20 Pro Heroes with just a bunch of blades?" You said, feeling a smirk slowly forming your face. "It was fun killing that All Might guy. You could say it was payback. After all, that son of a bitch couldn't protect me when he was living so close to me."
You began to laugh more as you saw they began to form tears.
"Oh, that isn't the worse part. The worse part of it all was the torture I went through. Have you ever imagined your 10-year old self hanging on the wall via chains, chains like these," you shook the handcuffs, "All because you couldn't kill a rabbit. Oh yeah, It was a package deal; chains plus 50 whips! " you ended, lifting up your shirt slightly to show the scars you received from it.
"Luckily my mom died before she could see me become like this. She was an angel. When she was around, Dad was actually a nice guy. The mafia was more of a family. We took care of everyone, finances and all." You stood up from your seat and sat on the table examining their faces.
"And now, I have to kill the people who try to run away, all because the elders force me to." You ended, crying.
These thoughts were a river you kept at bay.
You never wanted anyone besides the elders to know.
You were the leader, the pillar.
If you fall, they fall with you.
"I actually liked All Might as a hero, you know," you said through the tears. "He actually played with me, bought me gifts and treated me like the kid I was supposed to be."
You wiped the tears falling from your eyes.
Todoroki stared at your wrist, seeing what your soulmate wrote.
You chuckled, looking at the heterochromatic eyed man. "It was from my soulmate. I never met them, nor will I ever meet them. I guess they would only know who I truly am." You sniffled.
Shoto started to draw on his left arm a small heart with a distinctive flower in the middle.
Soon you felt your left arm tingle and there it was - the exact same heart with the exact same flower.
You stared at him, his eyes softening. "I wished I saved you earlier, but I'll save you now."
You smiled, looking at his determination. However, it was too late.
You've fallen a bit too deep to be saved now.
"Shoto..." you said, a sad smile gracing your lips, "...you can't. I've killed too many to be just signed off with a pardon or time in jail."
He began tearing. Your heart broke at the sight of him breaking down in front of you.
The cheerful man you knew from the years and years of conversations stood in front of you, willing to do whatever it took to get you in his arms - unchained and free - was sobbing. His cold facade long gone, only covered with grief and sorrow.
You, however, felt a warmth in your heart.
You finally got to meet your soulmate.
You finally are happy.
There and then, you knew what you needed to do.
"I'll tell you everything," you looked at Aizawa, "all the dirt I have on the villains and the vigilantes in Musutafu, I'll tell you."
He stared at you, smiling sadly.
"I'll even tell you who I am. In exchange, give me a full day with Shoto with no surveillance. I promise to not run away or do anything of that sort. I'll even take the death penalty I know that was fixed for me." you ended.
Shoto's anger began to boil. You felt it grow, the temperature in the room rapidly increasing.
Before Shoto could say anything, Aizawa agreed.
Shoto fell back on his chair, his hair now dishevelled - red mixing with white. His tear-streaked face now facing yours, taking in what he believed was your face.
"Shoto, could you please get me a towel? I feel a bit dirty... If possible, could you wet it, too?" You asked Shoto, knowing he needed to leave and get some fresh air. He quickly responded with a nod and went out of the room.
The minute he stepped out of the room, you faced Shinsou.
"I'm giving you full permission, Shinsou. Go ahead and see everything. I don't want to tell Shoto all I know. Let me tell you three who I am, at least," you ended with a chuckle.
You felt yourself relax as Shinsou soon entered your consciousness. It didn't feel painful or numb, like how Midoriya described it to Uraraka and Iida. It was as if someone just entered your room and wanted to see the things in it. Maybe it was because you willingly let him do it...
The feeling you had while he was reading your mind was as if you were with your mom in the small swimming pool she rented when you were a kid.
She gripped on your sides as she taught you how to swim, telling you to let the water be your friend and not oppose it.
It was calming... relaxing...
The minute you felt him leave, you felt the control of your body come back to you.
You saw sadness in Shinsou's eyes when he stared back at you. You just smiled and nodded at him, not knowing what to do.
Soon, Aizawa removed your handcuffs. You immediately stretched your wrists, moving your palms in a circular motion.
Shoto came rushing in with a bowl of water, a cloth and a bar of soap. He placed it in front of you and gave you a kiss on your head, leaving you a blushing mess.
He sat back on his chair and faced you, waiting for you to remove the dirt on your face to see your features better.
"Let's get this out of the way, shall we?" you chuckled, dipping the cloth in the water and slowly rubbing your face. You rubbed your hands with the bar of soap and then proceeded to rub the soap in your hands on your face, feeling your scars. After rinsing the soap off, you faced the three men.
"Hi, I am L/N Y/N, also known as Persephone." You looked at them, enjoying the shocked look on their faces.
You saw him begin to tear again. You instinctively got up and hugged him from the back. You began to rub the tears away, stopping any more from falling from his precious face. He began to relax into your touch, slowly placing the back of his head against your collarbone.
"Shoto," you said, turning your face to face him, "In my hand claw, there is a USB in a compartment right beneath the palm area. It contains everything on Ahnia Technologies. The money, the technology yet to be released along with the data on Diavolos. I'm leaving it to you."
"Don't cry, okay? I only have you for a few more hours, no more crying." You said, giving a kiss on his cheek.
"Help the people in Diavolo. Yes, some of them have done extremely bad things, but it was all because of me and my tyrant father," you clarified. "Help them live better lives, okay?"
You felt him give you a nod and you smiled.
You released yourself from the hug, looking at Aizawa. "I believe I can leave now, right?"
Shoto grabbed you by your wrists and ran out of the building. "I am going to make it the best 23 fucking hours of your life."
And it was.
The few hours you spent with Todoroki had been the best hours of your life.
It didn't feel sappy as the stories the elders used to tell you. It felt comfortable and right just to be with him.
The view of him eating cold soba in front of you, you both singing your lungs out to Paramore, you both relaxing at a book cafe - all of it - it felt just comforting and how a home should feel like.
The best part of it all - he could introduce you to his friends since they didn't know you were Persephone.
You hung out with Midoriya, Iida, Ochako, Tsuyu and Momo for 4 whole hours.
They took half the day off - just because Todoroki met his soulmate.
It kept making you think if you were born in a normal family, would have this been your life?
What if you entered a support class and just so happen to meet Todoroki there?
Would your life be like this? Surrounded by a bunch of friends, protecting Musutafu and being helpful to the world you loved?
You were cut off from your train of thought when Uraraka sat beside you. "You know, whenever you both talked to each other when we were in Yuuei, he used to actually giggle reading at your messages. He really wanted to ask for your number and meet up, but he felt he'd be pushing it a bit too far, so he just waited for you to stumble upon you." She said, beaming.
"We really thought he would never meet you, yet here you are! And he scored, man! A tech CEO? Honey, you have money-" You cut Ochaco with your laughter.
"You know he is way richer than me, right?" You said, wiping the tears of joy.
You were brought back to the conversation Uraraka just had with you.
You should've made the first move.
You knew he wouldn't be the one to make the bold moves.
You should've asked him.
You could've had so many dates with him, yet here you are counting down the hours before you get killed.
You felt two arms wrap around you, making you flinch. "You should really stop thinking too hard, Y/N," Shoto said, pressing on the fold formed on your forehead. "The day is too precious for that."
After saying goodbye to his friends, he drove you to his apartment.
To say it was beautiful is an understatement.
There were so many potted plants that enhanced the small gold accents he placed throughout the small apartment. It was the perfect mix of greens with the feel of a modern-day home.
"For one of the richest Japanese people in the world, you have a very small apartment," you said, chuckling. "It's perfect."
For the rest of the day, you both binged on movies, enjoying the feeling of being close to each other.
You played with Todoroki's fingers that were wrapped around your waist. His head was directly on the not of your head. He then pressed his nose on your neck, deeply breathing in your scent, humming softly.
This was all you needed.
Him in your arms and you in his.
In his small, quaint apartment, away from everyone else.
Soon, his phone rang. You looked at the caller ID and you already knew what was going to happen.
Your time is up.
It was time for you to leave for good.
You felt his hesitation to pick up the phone, so you did it for him.
"Hello Aizawa, where should Todoroki and I meet you?" you asked, feeling the grip on your waist tighten.
"Okay, noted. We'll be there soon," you said, ending the call.
You felt your back getting warmer thanks to the tears falling from Shoto's eyes. "I'm not letting you go."
You can't cry now.
You need to be strong.
This isn't the time to succumb to the sadness, Y/N.
You turned your back to face your soulmate. You pressed your forehead and placed your hands on his cheeks. "Todo..."
He didn't reply.
He didn't want to.
"Todo..." you whisper again, your voice slightly shaking.
He puts his hands on yours, his sobs turning into sniffles.
You raised his face to face yours, eyeing his lips. Your thumb grazes on his burn, his eyes immediately closing, enjoying the feeling.
Slowly, you placed your lips on his. In an instant, he responded, pressing his lips on yours. Small sparks emitted from that small contact. Each time his lips devoured yours, you melted even more. His arms snaked around your waist, pulling you closer to him.
He wanted to feel you against him as much as he could.
Your hands left his cheeks and your arms moved to the back of his neck. You entangled your fingers in his dual-coloured hair, earning a small groan from him.
You soon pulled away. You placed the pad of your thumb on his lip, enjoying the feeling of it.
"Let me talk, okay?" you said. He soon nodded, knowing you wanted to get some things off your chest.
"Thank you for this, Sho. You gave me everything I could have ever wanted in these few hours, and for that, I am eternally grateful," you said, smiling weakly. "...You wanna know something?"
His eyes widened, focusing solely on you.
"The whole day I wondered if I didn't take over the mafia, how would we collide? Back then, I tried running away so many times. What if I managed to do it?" you started.
"I definitely would've tried out for UA for the support classes. I might have passed and entered 1-H. Maybe you needed to touch up your gear and you would've met me. But knowing how thick-headed we both are, we would've not seen the marks on each other's arms," you both laughed.
"We maybe would've crossed paths in the second year. I most probably would have developed a crush on you and maybe after seeing our marks, we would've begun dating." You said, cupping his cheeks. "Maybe we would be even sharing this very apartment."
"But that's not how our lives worked out. I got caught every single time and eventually gave in. I became the leader of Diavolos and I killed all those people, even the very person who gave me a glimpse of life as a normal kid," you began to tear, "I don't want to live like this anymore, Sho."
"I can't live remembering every single person I killed. I can't live carrying that Haladie blade and iron claw and not want to die almost every second. I can't live in this apartment without giving you all of me when you so easily can," you took a minute to calm yourself down, "I don't want to live anymore, Shoto."
Shoto's face darkened. "So, you're planning to leave me here, after - what - 25 years of waiting for you? You can't be this selfish, Y/N."
You knew that this was selfish.
Heck, anyone would know that this is selfish.
"I need to repent for my sins, Shoto. No community work can suffice for all the villainy I've committed," you ended.
The silence that ensued was deafening.
The sniffles that came from the both of you with the sound the fan gave off were the only sounds to come after.
After a few minutes, Shoto spoke. "All my life, I thought meeting your soulmate was something the Devil wished upon you. My father basically drove my mother to insanity and made my own oldest brother become a villain," he began. "I wish I could say the same about ours, but I can't."
"These few hours were the best fucking hours of my life. Every single moment I had with you is forever engraved in my mind, Y/N. You so easily broke my walls, ever since we were small," he gripped on you tighter, "I will always remember your small words to get me moving, how you'd push me to do more, to talk more and become more social."
"I love you, Y/N, but I need to give you away, right?" he said, looking at you with tear-filled eyes. His eyes begged you to deny the last statement, but your mind was already made up.
You nodded your head and pulled him into a hug.
Soon, you both were in his car, driving to where Aizawa asked to meet up.
Once you reached, you followed Aizawa and left Shoto in the room you were in before.
You got on the electric chair, closing your eyes as you felt the wet sponge being placed on your head.
From afar, you could hear Midoriya and Uraraka shouting at Aizawa to stop whatever he was doing, but Shoto stopped them.
You couldn't hear Shoto's answer when they asked why.

BNHA Chapter 309 Spoiler Thoughts: Izuku and Inko Midoriya, and Some More Things Along The Way
The chapter leaks are here again!  Thanks to all the people on Twitter and here on Tumblr for providing us with scans and translations.  This chapter helps explain some things that a lot of us were wondering about.  Sadly, there’s still no Bakugo, or Shoto, or any other UA kids really; they’re only in flashbacks.  But, we do get to see what All Might and the Top 3 Heroes (Endeavor, Hawks, and Best Jeanist) are up to, so that’s something.  Anyway, remember to take what I say with a grain of salt until the official translations come out on Sunday:
The chapter starts a few minutes after Deku beat Muscular.  He’s flying through the air taking an unconscious Muscular tied up in his Black Whip.  The other Ketsubusu Academy students from the Lisence Exam see him too.  Thankfully the stubborn civilians from 2 chapters ago are willing to help Yo Shindo recover in exchange for not listening moving to the school shelters.  Also, Shindo’s barely conscious, but he does actually remember Deku.  He’s just not the same Deku as before.  Not much for me to say here except that I wonder if Shindo’s going to help spread the word about Deku’s actions.  Not just to his classmates, but I wonder if the words’ going to get out to the news and UA.  Actually, word might not even get that far since Shindo was only one of the few people in that exam that really even interacted with Deku...
Deku hands Muscular over to the police for them to take care off.  He also makes sure to cover himself up in Smokescreen to hide his identity.  So, Deku really is working in the shadows here.  It is best that the public doesn’t know what Deku is doing so that the LoV don’t track him down.  My man’s really going down the Batman route.  Oh, I also have to admire Deku’s smartphone here kept in this steel case.  I was going to say it’s a burner phone, but burner phones break easily for a reason and this one clearly doesn’t.  Maybe it’s a special one that can’t be tracked down.
And we finally get to see All Might again!  He is actively working with Deku instead of just not knowing where his protege is.  He’s wearing casual clothes (jacket, jeans, sunglasses, the works) when he meets up with Deku in an alleyway.  I’m honestly glad that All Might is still supervising Deku.  I mean, Deku on his own would’ve been badass, but when you’re going up against people like AFO and Shigaraki, you’re going to need some help.  Especially when laying low.  Even with supervision, I still think Deku counts as a vigilante b/c I don’t think his license works if he’s not at UA.  I will believe this unless proven otherwise.
It’s explained that the “wrapping” on Deku’s arms are actually gauntlets called “Mid-Gauntlets”, which are what are helping hold Deku’s arms together.  And they are VERY similar to the gauntlets that Melissa Shield from Two Heroes gave Deku.  Deku even says that All Might ordered them from the USA before travel restrictions were put in place.  I know that it’s only implied, but there’s no doubt in my mind that Deku’s new gauntlets were made by Melissa.  Even if you want to doubt it, at this point, Two Heroes (and by extension Heroes Rising and probably the upcoming 3rd movie, World Heroes Mission) are canon.  Honestly, I’m cool with it.  I liked Melissa and I’m glad her presence is still around (she was even in a Team-Up Mission chapter with Hatsume).  I do wonder if we’re ever going to see her in the main story.  It would be nice to see Melissa again.
The gauntlets are test samples and are used to enhance endurance.  All Might says that they can’t withstand 100% of OFA yet.  Which means that Deku actually beat Muscular with less than 100% unlike their first fight where Deku had to use over 100% just to knock him out.  So, does this mean that, say, Deku’s current 45% is stronger than his 100+% back in the Forest Camp?  Or maybe it was just the combo of moves and strategy rather then Deku just punching his way through things.
Small detail, but All Might’s phone goes off with that “I AM HERE” ringtone we heard before and Deku comments that this particular one is from All Might’s Silver Age TV Special!  It’s such a small thing, but I love that Deku still has that All Might fanboy in him despite everything 💚!  Somethings truly never change.
And back to the Top 3: Endeavor, Hawks, and Best Jeanist!  Endeavor and Best Jeanist are teaming up to kick a villain’s ass while Hawks is talking to All Might on the phone.  It looks like Hawks got a few costume changes particularly his visor/glasses which look more boxy than they did before if that makes sense.  Oh, and they’re also helping All Might work with Deku.  Makes sense since all three vowed to help take down Dabi earlier and Shigaraki and AFO definitely extend from that.
Deku’s Danger Sense is going off, so he’s probably going to check out any danger he can find in case it’s the LoV.  I do wonder if that harms Deku still.  It was said that it felt like a stabbing in his head and it must’ve been bad enough for the 4th OFA Holder to live in the forest away from society.  Man, I really hope our boy is ok (I know he’s not really, let me have this).
But yeah, Hawks (still wingless, but with a nice little undercut btw😳) explains that Deku's afraid of dragging other people in his battles like All Might.  Hawks also goes on to say that it’s best to take the initiative in taking down AFO and Shigaraki rather than waiting for them to appear all powered up.  He also wants All Might to keep supporting him despite the difficult position he’s in (remember that All Might’s technically Qurikless again and can’t really fight on his own).  It makes sense for them to go after the Villains again while they can.  If Deku fought Shigaraki while Shigaraki was at full strength, Deku would lose easily.  Even at 75%, Shigaraki was able to kill and injure A LOT of people, and Deku was lucky to even make it out there alive.  They need to find Shigaraki SOON!
Flashback to Central Hospital before Deku jumped UA ship!  Recover Girl and Central Hospital’s high-tech were responsible for many of the patience recovering quickly and being discarged.  Deku was just there a little longer than the others.  So, we can assume that all our UA kids and some notable heroes made it out alive after being treated.  Still don’t know what happened to some people like Tamaki and Fat Gum tho 😭.
All Might and Deku’s mom, Inko (thank god she’s ok), are by Deku’s bedside as his casts are taken off.  Deku’s doctor (who looks like Super Mario/Luigi; the whole Super Mario crew must run this damn place.  Where’s Bowser and Princess Peach) explains that despite his former warnings about his ligaments, Deku’s limbs are still functioning because he’s not the same as he was before.  So, before, Deku’s injuries were like his limbs were exploding from the inside, but this time those “explosions” were able to escape his body.  Also his Black Whip cast helped keep Deku’s arm in tact so that he wouldn’t pulverize himself.  His ligimates are still degrading too, so Deku still has to be careful.  I think he might have a few more small scars too, but that could just be shadows or muscle lining from Horikoshi’s pen-work.
Ok, honestly, I’m not sure how this logically works...  I’m no medical professional, but I assume this means that Deku’s built his body up so much that it’s naturally able to withstand more damage than before and that’s why he’s more durable.  But, I don’t know how Deku was able to let the “explosions” escape this time.  I get the reverse; I get how he got injured before, but I don’t get this.  Was it the Black Whip brace he made for himself?  I honestly don’t really understand this.  Maybe the official translations will clear this up.  Or Horikoshi will in a Tweet or Volume Extra.
And Inko is finally informed of OFA thank the gods!  She was in the top of my list of “People who should really, really know OFA and what’s going on with Deku because I swear...”.  She’s clearly shaken up as anyone would be, but I’m glad she at least knows what’s going on with her son.  Yes, she’s still worried, but at least she can stop guessing why all this is happening.
Deku announces the reason why he won’t go back to UA and it’s basically that Shigaraki can sense where Deku is and he doesn’t want to see anyone else close to him get hurt and/or die.  So, basically what I thought would be the reason.  Absolutely no surprise there.  But, going after Shigaraki and AFO first was originally Deku’s idea, so that’s something new.  Kid’s bold.
And this broke my heart 💔!  Inko insists that Deku stay with her to stay safe, but Deku knows what he has to do.  So, he thanks his mom, thanks her for making him happy, and tells her that he’ll be ok and that he’ll come back home with a somber smile on his face.  We see a flashback to Little Deku and Inko too when they were happier.  Bro, I don’t even know what to say.  I am in tears just writing this 😭  I’ll just post these two panels so y’all can cry with me.  I will never recover from this.  I’m fucking devastated.  You better come home, Deku:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
*sniffs* All Might remembers what he said to Inko.  He remembers how he said that he will protect Deku with his life.  All Might encourages Deku to go and he says that he’ll go with him with tears in his eyes.  He asks the Top 3 to help with this mission (finding Dabi) as their own mission coincides with Deku’s (finding Shigaraki and AFO).  I’m so glad all these adults are staying by Deku’s side throughout this.  It’s good to know that Deku still has support, though I wish it were from some of his friends too.  Maybe one day.
Deku goes to see Grand Torino in his hospital room to talk to him about OFA.  He mentions his friend and 7th Holder Nana Shimura.  Torino thinks he was responsible for killing Shigaraki (he really wasn’t let's be real).  He also tells Deku that Deku shouldn’t be so persistent in saving Shigaraki as killing can sometimes lead to salvation. Ok, few things:
1. I am surprised Grand Tarino is still alive.  I mean, we don’t know what happened to him after this talk, but at least he got to hear from Deku again.  It’s kind of nice to know that Tarino willingly passed down his cape to Deku too instead of Deku just taking it after his death.  Also, I’ve been watching some of Jujutsu Kaisen like everyone else has and this give me some Yuji & his grandfather vibes to it.  Knowing what happens there and that JJK’s magaka is good friends with Horikoshi, I have a sinking feeling I know what happened after this talk...
2. Deku looks so much older here.  Like, it’s not that cute, innocent baby face we knew at the beginning.  I don’t even know what it is exactly (maybe the eyes), but he just looks more mature here.  Also, his uniform some buttons down looks really good on him, I’m sorry but I need to mention that too 💚.
3. “Killing is a means towards salvation”.  Oh, boy...  I mean, I get it.  Some people just can’t be saved or captured in hopes of rehabilitation/redemption.  Sometimes killing people is necessary to save others.  But, Deku is not a killer.  He will try to save Shigaraki no matter what.  That was established again last chapter.   He tried to save Muscular for god’s sake.  But, I am curious if Gran Tarino’s words are going to hold any weight in the final fight. Like, will Deku have to kill Shigaraki?  What will that do to Deku as a person?  I’m really curious if Horikoshi is going to make Deku do this.
And finally, there’s a page showing off the Top 3, Deku, and All Might team up with the resolve to beat the LoV.  I am really interested to see where this goes.  Deku is working with the big Pro Heroes instead of his classmates/friends.  This hasn’t really happened before.  I also wonder if Shoto and Bakugo know what Deku’s doing then.  Because Shoto’s going to help Endeavor and his family find Dabi.  Endeavor’s activley helping Deku.  Also, Endeavor and Best Jeanist are both Bakugo’s mentors.  All Might too actually.  Look, maybe I’m making excuses to see my Origin Trio together again, but I do have to wonder if Shoto and Bakugo are involved somehow.
Welp, that’s it.  This chapter was a rollercoaster!  I was excited, I was confused, I was worried, I cried my eyes out at one point because THOSE TWO PANELS I CANNOT 💔😭!  I’m honestly just waiting for Horokishi to drop some major time-skip on us at some point.  I don’t want him to, but I won’t be entirely surprised if he does.  The end of this chapter is a good place to end if Horikoshi wants to segway into something else like, oh IDK, THE UA KIDS LET ME SEE THEM AGAIN HORIKOSHI PLS I’M BEGGING 💸
Me @ Horikoshi almost every week:

“Horikoshi is pathetic and an abuse apologist”
“Endeavor doesn’t deserve a redemption arc”
“Horikoshi’s just a bad writer”
“They shouldn’t fight Dabi’s who’s mentally ill”
That’s what I’ve hearing a lot lately. As someone who’s trying to become an author, I get defensive about creators getting slandered. If you find yourself in one of these camps, keep your opinions to yourself because I don’t want to hear it. You’re free to believe what you want, but just know that I think you need to either find a new manga to read or look a little closer because I don’t think we’re reading the same thing. I'm not asking you to unfollow and block me. Do with my opinion what you want to. I’m not going to address all these issues, but I will for most of them.
“Horikoshi is pathetic and an abuse apologist”
You say that with the same energy as Gen Z kids trying to cancel Eminem. You act like he abused someone in real life. If you don’t like his portrayal of the cycle of abuse, then find something else to read. And don’t pretend like you don’t read dark content for fun but don’t condone the things that go in there. Even if he was an abuse apologist, which he isn’t, his behavior in real life would reflect that. Unless you have a connection to Japanese newspapers declaring that he’s actually an awful person, think before you type.
What part of the manga makes you believe that Horikoshi is an abuse apologist? Is it because Endeavor’s not dead? That his family is pushing him to end the cycle of abuse he started and accept the responsibility of catching Dabi, the result of his actions? Hawks wasn’t getting an apology for Endeavor, he was getting an apology from Rei for what Dabi did to him. Hawks is likely never going to get closure for his own parental letdowns but at least he can see Shoto getting it. He even went so far as to ask if Shoto got the scar from Endeavor with a look on his face that would kill. I don’t think he would have let Endeavor get away with hurting Shoto if his expression was anything to go by. He’s accepted that he won’t get closure, but he probably thinks Shoto can.
Here’s a list of things from the manga that show Endeavor facing the consequences of his actions (abuse, neglect, and arrogance) that display the opposite of abuse apology
Throughly having his ass handed to him by that Nomu
Natsuo refusing to forgive him
Berated by his wife about how he’s suddenly assuming guilt for his actions
Distrust from the public about heroes in general
Dealing with the fact that his eldest son is a serial murderer and domestic terrorist because of the abuse he endured under Endeavor
Shoto hasn’t decided yet to forgive his father
Another near-death experience
Being unable to fight back when Shoto is attacked by Dabi and feeling guilty about it
Having his family push him to accept the fact that he has to stop Dabi, the result of his actions
Depression and the weight of guilt of so many years ignoring his affect on his family
Where 👏 Is 👏 My👏Reading👏Comprehension👏 People?
Ya’ll act and talk like you’re reading something entirely different and I won’t stand for smearing Horikoshi like this.
“Endeavor doesn’t deserve a redemption arc”
That’s your opinion. Some people would say otherwise. I’m not one of those, but I don’t share your opinion either. I’m in the camp that says this is a repentance arc, which is completely different. It’s not about Endeavor redeeming himself, it’s about him accepting the consequences of his actions and taking steps to make up for it. Whether or not the Todoroki family accepts his apology, that is up to them and their decisions are valid no matter what they choose.
The only reason why I’m not an Endeavor basher is because unlike most abusers he acknowledges his past sins and is taking steps to make up for them. I wish my own father would so much as acknowledge the damage he did to me and my sister, let alone apologize for it. At least Endeavor is trying to change. How many abusers do you know of in the real world who will ever admit to having done wrong and try to make up for their actions? Not many I bet.
“They shouldn’t fight Dabi. He’s mentally ill.”
So murdering 30+ people is mental self-care? Is that what we’re stooping to? Regardless of Dabi’s mental health, the decisions he made while on his own and away from his family were his own choices. Let’s not forget that Dabi blames his whole family for his neglect and abuse for either not doing anything to stop it or being too weak in his eyes. Dabi would burn his family alive and make Endeavor watch just for shits and giggles. Dabi is not some soft boy who needs some human affection and meds to make him feel better. Every decision he’s made on his own may be in spite to Endeavor, but they’re his decisions.
He killed 30 people plus gods know how many when he aided in a domestic terrorist attack that devastated cities. Dabi didn’t seem all that concerned for Twice (he was using the latter for his own goals and used Twice’s death as a means to end to ruin Hawks), Mr. Compress (when he had half his guts hanging out and Dabi didn’t lift a finger), Himiko Toga (whom he hasn’t even asked about), or even Shigaraki (whom he’s despised since the beginning and is also using for his own goals). Dabi does not care about anyone. Fanon Dabi is fun and probably more mentally stable, but canon Dabi wouldn’t hesitate to kill someone if they inconvenienced him in anyway. Sorry not sorry.
Do you know how many murderers and serial killers are out there have mental illness? Edward Gein, Edmund Kemper, Ted Bundy, Randy Kraft? Just because you have a mental illness, you don’t get to use that as an excuse. We don’t excuse Youtubers falling back on depression when they’re caught sexting teenagers and grooming children. Kill one person, maybe we can work something out. Kill 30 people and we need to put your ass in jail. I don’t care if Dabi is affected by mental illness, so has the rest of the Todoroki family and none of them decided to become serial murderers and terrorists. He’s helped throw the Japan of MHA into brutal chaos where civilians are getting hurt and killed and setting free 10,000 prisoners now causing havoc in the streets. Mental illness is no longer an excuse or even a good reason.
I’m just thankful that Dabi’s a fictional character because I don’t want to meet someone who uses mental illness as an excuse or reason why someone else killed 30+ people. We already have a big enough problem associating mental illness with serial killers and causing harm to the public, I don’t even want a fictional character being coddled because of his supposed mental illness after he gleefully admits to killing 30 people, participating a terrorist attack, and tried to kill his youngest brother, twice.

Physical Fatality Part 2- Fuckboy
Summary: You’re a rising star in All Might’s agency. Hawks is the darling of Endeavor’s. By virtue of your job descriptions, the two of you are supposed to hate each other, or at the very least be cautiously neutral. For a long time that’s exactly what the two of you did. You stayed out of each other’s way and formed little opinion of the other. One fateful night at an HPSC gala changes all that. Based on the album Hopeless Fountain Kingdom by Halsey.

Masterlist
“Oh fuck, yes, Hawks! Yes!”
He hates it when they’re vocal now. He used to love it when She was vocal but he hates when the new ones are now. It shatters the illusion. If he keeps his eyes closed, the woman underneath him feels and tastes just like his ex did. He can replace Her and pretend his heart isn’t still a little broken. When they get vocal though, he can tell, because there’s no pretending the voice isn’t different. So he shushes her and whispers “I got you baby,” as if it’s a sweet nothing and not a careful attempt to maintain the illusion as he pumps in and out of her. He knows eventually the woman underneath him now will realize he’s not giving her his everything. She won’t realize it’s because he’s thinking about someone else. They never do. But she will realize he’s not invested eventually and she’ll leave. They always do. So he enjoys this now and he enjoys the illusion as long as he can just keep his eyes closed.
One of her hands gets too close to his wings and immediately he grabs it and moves it away. “What’s wrong baby?” she asks and he has to resist the temptation to wince because it’s still not Her voice. “You know the rules Love, wings are off limits,” he replies but he softens it with a kiss, even as he conveniently decides now is the time to pin her hands above her head. He doesn’t trust her not to try and go for his wings a second time. But it’s ok because he shifts the angle slightly and suddenly she’s cumming around him, her inner walls fluttering around him in the most delicious way and it isn’t long until he’s pouring right over the edge.
“Fuck!! Just like that, Mirko.”
“What the fuck did you just call me?”
Oops...
Mt. Lady is pissed. He gets it. No really, he does, but it’s the morning and he hasn’t eaten or had caffeine yet so he is not mentally prepared to deal with her as she storms around the room recovering her clothes and getting dressed again. “What the fuck Hawks! We’ve been dating for a month! Have you been thinking of her this entire time?” she asks. Hawks may do it a lot for work but he doesn’t enjoy lying. So he gives her a more palatable truth. “I’ve meant everything I’ve ever told you.” “That doesn’t really answer my fucking question.” Welp, she’s got him there. He tried. Having finally gotten fully dressed and realized she isn’t getting a better answer out of Hawks, Mt. Lady gives up and declares “You’re a dick, Hawks,” before storming out of his apartment. He belatedly realizes he doesn’t even know her real name. He should probably care about that but she didn’t know his either, and never would, so it’s for the best really. Finally he groans and decides he may as well get ready for work.
“Hawks you’re kind of an asshole,” Tokoyami sighs after Hawks has recounted the story of this morning’s misadventure. “I’m not trying to be! It’s not my fault I’m a romantic,” Hawks sighs. “It’s not romantic to be thinking of one girl while you’re having sex with another,” Tokoyami points out. “I’m trying to move on that’s why I dated Mt. Lady for so long.” “First of all, a month is not ‘so long’. Second of all, pretending your current girlfriend is your ex girlfriend sounds like the opposite of trying to move on.” “I would’ve gave it all for Mirko. Really cared for her yknow? So where’d I go wrong? How do I just move on from that?” Shoto overhears Hawks’ lament and with a roll of his eyes decides to chime into the conversation. “You went wrong because you’re a workaholic who’d probably thank my dad if he punched you in the face. You move on by having a bunch of one night stands and practicing not pretending they’re your ex,” Shoto says as he joins Hawks and Tokoyami at their desks. “Remember when you were quiet and reserved? I miss those days,” Hawks replies. “Remember when you weren’t my dad’s bitch? Me neither,” Shoto fires back without missing a beat, his voice as steady and deadpan as ever. Tokoyami chuckles at that, earning him a glare from Hawks. “So much for birds of a feather stick together,” Hawks pouts. “What can I say? He has a point,” Tokoyami shrugs. “About which part?” “Both parts.” Tokoyami and Shoto both laugh at the affronted look on Hawks’ face. “I am not Endeavor’s bitch and I’m not turning into a fuckboy to get over Mirko,” Hawks protests. “At this point it’d be kinder for you to only want sex from them,” Shoto points out. “Why don’t you just try out the one night stand thing tonight?” Tokoyami suggests. “Absolutely not. Mt. Lady and I breaking up is a sign from the universe. I’m going to find Mirko at the gala and convince her to get back together with me,” Hawks decides. “That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard you say,” Shoto replies with a dry look. “One day when I marry her I’m going to invite you to the wedding just so I can say I told you so in the vows,” Hawks says. “You’d write me into your vows?” “That’s not the part you should be focusing on.”
“Shoto! There’s an urgent matter to discuss!” a booming voice suddenly interrupts. All three men turn to find Endeavor looming in a nearby doorway. Shoto rolls his eyes but does push off to see what his father wants. “Just think about what I said Hawks,” he tells the older man before following his father into his office. “What he said is dumb,” Hawks grumbles petulantly. “What you’ve been doing is also dumb. Maybe a new kind of dumb will be good for you,” Tokoyami suggests. “Whatever. You’ll both see tonight,” Hawks huffs, “it’s going to be a night to remember.”
Author’s Note: I feel like Todoroki is frequently written as very quiet and reserved and to be fair he is pretty quiet and reserved but he’s also sassy and petty as fuck. He literally covered his whole ass left side in that cheap lookin fake ice on his first hero costume as a fuck you to his dad. The first thing he said to Endeavor after the man almost died was “that’s a nice scar ya got there” and then passive aggressively slurped noodles. He was fully prepared to fight the police commissioner when he thought he and Midoriya were in trouble over the whole Stain thing. I feel like the older and more socialized he got the more that petty and sassy side would come out. So basically my version of aged up Shoto is a savage and it may be slightly ooc but oh well

BNHA Chapters 298 - 302: "JUST WATCH ME." [MANGA SPOILERS]
Tumblr media
Horikoshi really loves family drama, doesn't he?
I'm not complaining; while we meme the Keeping Up with the Todoroki's and joke whether Deku is the actual protagonist or not at this point (remember, he joked Shoto was more like a typical Shonen MC), Horikoshi does an excellent job with using the Todoroki family to represent themes of forgiveness, retribution, abuse, and how the family of a hero functions in the "ranked" hero society of BNHA, and how it can and does have negative implications.
There's been a lot of posts about the Todorokis, but one thing that stands out to me is that phrase above. "Just watch me."
The idea of how Endeavor, Shoto, Dabi, and the Todorokis are "seen" is something Horikoshi has done with intriguing implications...and is interestingly tying Hawks to as well in all this.
SHOTO:
Tumblr media
I like that Chapter 298 starts with this shot of how Shoto has "seen" his father. There is SO much on this page to unpack: How Horikoshi frames the side of Shoto's scar with Endeavor and his scar instead, how Shoto only sees his father's back while he's on hero duty, and can't see the face of his father, and then, conveniently -- how Hawks is in this page as well. That's not a mistake or random coincidence on Horikoshi's part.
And in comes Dabi to complicate the situation (in true, "extra" Dabi fashion). Shoto makes the connection that Dabi is how Shoto viewed himself, full of rage and hatred -- until he met someone like Deku, who helped him see past all of that. I like that we at least get a tie-in to our main character of the series. Pat yourself on the back, Horikoshi.
It's also interesting to note the text that Dabi's "been watching" -- again, Just Watch Me -- the family this entire time, waiting to strike; even sending villains to attack the Todoroki family and actively try to dismantle it.
If anything, Dabi only strengthened Shoto's resolve to aid Endeavor. Shoto saw first-hand just how rattled his father became when confronted by Touya's existence. He even called Endeavor "dad" for the first time. He realized that Dabi was who Shoto could have become -- it's a neat parallel to the High End Endeavor fought; Enji related that Nomu to a "possible future" that could have happened to him. Shoto is viewing Dabi the same way.
Tumblr media
By the end of Chapter 302, we get Shoto reaching out to offer his hand in helping Endeavor confront and stop his brother from hurting more people. However, notice Shoto still cannot face his father directly; his eyes aren't meeting the sobbing ones of Endeavor. He can't "just watch" his father yet. But it's a nice callback to him telling Deku that "even heroes cry sometimes," and that he doesn't think of Enji as less of a hero for crying.
DABI AND ENDEAVOR:
Dabi is shown in these chapters to be looking over his new burns; you can see in how Horikoshi shades them in how they've grown on his body. I put Dabi and Endeavor together in this section because both are quite similar. Notice, too, on this page that Dabi is asking his family to "take a real good look at me..." Just Watch Me, again.
Tumblr media
Endeavor is not meant in these chapters to get off free for his actions; the abuse he administers and his descent into obsession are on full display for us the audience to see. But so is the descent of Touya as well. Of course, Touya is a product of his environment and genetics, as he says himself he inherits a lot of his personality traits and power from his father, which is intriguing because he's quite self-loathing about it in expressing his hatred toward "Enji Todoroki," whom (like Shoto) he can't "see" as his father, now.
It's worth noting these two pages back-to-back and Horikoshi does an amazing job conveying emotions in just the eyes of these characters, with hardly any dialogue:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Innocence in Natsu and Shoto, the growing cold apathy in Touya, the obsession and desperation in Endeavor, how All Might is portayed as emotionless with his eyes blacked out, Rei's fear and hopelessness in the situation of it all, and then finally the very notion of Dabi crying.
That when Dabi gets emotional, he can't stop crying.
Horikoshi tying the one thing that allows Dabi to show emotion be the one thing he forcibly removes is masterful. I predict by the end of this series Dabi having streams of blood running down his face in place of tears, and I'm not sure I'm ready for it.
And then, there's this page:
Tumblr media
The "Look at me" panel here is basically a parallel of Endeavor's "Just Watch Me" from the top of this and it gives me chills. Horikoshi tries to put in little pumpkin-headed baby Shoto for levity, but the damage is done. This is truly the moment that Dabi is born. The proceeding chapters are just more on his development.
It's an interesting symbolic contrast: Endeavor's "Just Watch Me" was his first phrase as the #1 hero, a status he had always dreamed of -- while Touya's "Look at Me" is his first phrase as a villain, a status created from his dreams being crushed.
And for one final moment where Horikoshi utilizes that "look at me" moment with the Todoroki family, there's these moments from Chapter 302:
Tumblr media
The usage of light, shadows, and how the characters are "looking" is again, masterful. Rei barely being able to look Enji in the face -- except to call him out on running away from the problem -- Endeavor's face either being in shadows or turned away from Shoto and the others, alienating himself; Shoto wide-eyed and facing the situation with innocence; Touya, originally with his face not shown to the camera -- we finally see that while playing with his siblings, he was indeed watching Endeavor and Shoto. That he's always been watching, as Shoto noted previously.
HAWKS:
And then there's the honorary member of the Todoroki family, Hawks, who conveniently slides himself into the drama throughout these chapters. When Hawks was introduced, it was alongside Endeavor as the new #1 hero, and it was revealed at the time (during the Nomu fight) that Hawks had also "always been watching Endeavor." The difference is he was watching Endeavor fail to become the #1 hero, despite all his years of trying; whereas Shoto and Touya watched Endeavor fail as a father for several years, and seemingly not trying. Fun parallels, right?
Tumblr media
But that's not the only parallel Hawks has with the Todoroki's and the symbolism of "sight." If you look in Chapter 299, you'll notice that despite the seemingly clairvoyant eyes that Hawk's mother has; a trait that Hawks inherits through his feathers, she never directly looks at Hawks (until a moment below) and like Endeavor, Hawk's father has his back to his family most of the time.
In fact, the only time the mother actually "looks" at Hawks is when she tells him that his abusive father was arrested by Endeavor. Notice the way that Endeavor, the hero, is shown looking at Hawks in this moment:
Tumblr media
Hawks has always been an interesting and engaging foil to Dabi -- it's poetic; the son of the villain becoming a hero as the son of the hero becomes a villain. No wonder Hot Wings is such a great ship, right?
But the way Hawks "sees" Endeavor is different than Shoto and the others. I do find it interesting that Hawks asks Endeavor if he gave Shoto the scar on his face, and doesn't seem horrified by Endeavor's acts. Maybe that's because he's blinded by the "hero" version of Endeavor that he used to cope through his own abuse as a child? If so, the concept of being "blinded" while watching is an intriguing concept.
In any case, Hawks is serving a a bridge between the Hero Endeavor and the father Enji and connecting those two personas together alongside the Todorokis, specifically Shoto. The phrase "Just Watch Me" is going to become even more important now that all eyes are literally on Endeavor and his next move as the #1 hero.
I'm curious at this point how Endeavor, Hawks, the Todorokis, and Best Jeanist (who is just a proxy in all this denim drama) will respond to the demand for a statement. I'm sure Horikoshi is going to put a positive spin on it for the sake of our heroes...and it's going to drive Dabi even more insane.
But more insanity and pain? That's Horikoshi's style, right?

ty for your answer! I loved hearing your thoughts on bnha. Personally I think the hero society is going to change and I think that leaves a chance for the villains to be redeemd or looked at differently in some way? something like that. because wasnt that how the narrative was set up? the kids are going to change it, after all thats 'how they became the greatest heroes' - especially now since its clearly been broken down and exposed to everyone. the kids dont look at the villains the same way the heroes do, they see something deeper. i have hope the story will be more in depth than they just die or get arrested. as for Toya, wishful thinking here but if he settles down and gets hospitalized, there's Eri right if he burns himself further? but yeah, the story is feeling rushed and I'm scared because the last chapter didnt even make me feel excited. I just wanted more character interaction/comfort and perspective, not an immediate second war lol
i'm glad you loved reading my answer! we mostly think the same, so i also love hearing your thoughts as well ☺ i too think that hero society is going to change and in the future heroes will take care of the villains in a healthier way, i mean, otherwise i would be very disappointed. we didn't have an entire arc focused on villains and their sad backstories (MVA) only for them to keep suffering until the end. although i don't know how this change will happen. it is true that our hero trio wants to save our villain trio, but i don't think that means rest of the students want to save them as well. maybe they will think like that after this war, who knows, but currently i don't think anyone thinks the way izuku ochako and shoto does. not to mention the stubborn heroes... oh, i haven't thought about eri healing toya before! that's a good point!! i would love that, because i especially want to see toya heal from not only his scars but also his trauma. about hori rushing things, you're so right for not feeling excited. i don't feel that excited as well. but that's the problem, isn't it? this is THE final war. we MUST feel excited. clearly, something is going wrong. have you read the latest chapter spoilers by the way?
( don’t read if you don’t want to see spoilers )
it seems like the heroes are finally seperating the villains. although i want tomura, toga, toya, and spinner to fight together and take care of each other, i think seeing them fight independently could be interesting too. we'll see!
( don’t read if you don’t want to see spoilers )
i hope horikoshi doesn't rush things any longer and we can have a war arc that's as good as the first one!
Tumblr media
hmm, it's not that i hate him, i just feel neutral towards him tbh. it is true that i want to see him punished for his actions but i don't want him to die. as you said, it would be much better if we saw him question his thinking. but do you really believe that will happen eventually? i think that will happen only if he talks to toga or toya about twice. otherwise, i don't think hawks will change his way of thinking or resign or anything. moreover, i don't think he thinks what he did doesn't make him a hero anymore. i mean, it could be because we haven't seen him think about twice after the war, but he... already moved on? pretty quickly? does it ever cross his mind that he actually killed a person? a person he thought was "good"? does he question the system that made him do it? does he despise the selfish society that constantly push heroes to do this type of stuff? maybe he does and hori doesn't show it to us, who knows. but for now, it doesn't seem like this situation is weighing on him. as far as we are allowed to see, at least. and about the part "the man he looked up to being exposed as abusive"... does he care? no, if you ask me. he acts the same. maybe this is poor writing or maybe this is the way hawks is, idk... but hawks has been very disappointing to me ever since the war arc and it still is the same unfortunately! so i'm looking forward to a fight between toga and him that will shake him up real good.

DabiHawks au: Okay so Dabi isn’t a villain and for this I’ll be referring to him as Touya. So Touya and Hawks have been together since they were 18 and have been friends for even longer.  (They are married in this au already.)
Endeavour has no clue that Touya is dating Hawks mostly because Touya ran away from home and doesn’t talk to anyone of his family members.  It’s too painful for him.
Also cause why not Hawks and Touya have two kids together. Their eldest is 5 and their youngest is like 3 months old and unfortunately Hawks had to go back to work early but he only works half days or he does night shift. So he tends be around allot.
Touya doesn’t mind, as long as Hawks comes home to him and their family every day.
Anyways one day their eldest gets sick while at school and Touya is at the doctors for a checkup on his scars and then has to go out and dos hopping so he can’t pick up their eldest (For this ill refer to eldest as a boy but their children’s gender is really up to you)
So Hawks goes and picks him up but has to take him back to work since he's working on an important case with Endeavour. So he takes him back to his agency and his son has a habit of getting really clingy when he’s sick, Touya is the same.
Hawks loves it, he thinks it’s adorable. So he’s at his desk reading some cases with his son who is sleeping in his arms and Endeavour walks in with Shoto, Bakugo and Deku since they are all on their work study.
Tokoyami would have been present but dark shadow wasn’t feeling well so Hawks told him to skip. So Hawks greets them quietly and asks them be quiet cause ya know his son is sleeping.
And thankfully they are. Shoto is giving Hawks and his son a side glance, like he’s trying to use his one working brain cell to figure out something. Hawks pretends to ignore it.
So the group are going over the case when Touya walks in. Cause he wants to check up on Hawks and their son. So he walks in with the baby and Hawks instantly brightens up because it’s his husband and baby.
Shoto looks at Touya, then at Hawks then back at Touya. He does this a few times before saying “Secret love children?” And Bakugo and Deku just sigh because this is normal now. Endeavour looks at Touya, then at Hawks.
Its silent for a bit and Touya just ignores the other three and talks to Hawks. Touya also makes sure to give Hawks a kiss and have his ring showing just to be a little shit.
Their son wakes up sensing his other dad has arrived and does the cute little grabby hands. So Touya and Hawks swap. Touya holds their son and Hawks holds the baby.
Shotos mind is like in overdrive trying to figure this out. It’s honestly entertaining to Touya. Then Endeavour starts asking questions and demanding answers.
Touya answers them being a little shit the whole time but is being mindful to not swear in front of the kids and Hawks can’t even argue or stop it cause to be fair Touya is answering the questions and being mostly good.
The question comes up about the kids cause they all think ‘Oh adoption’ But no. Not adoption and so Touya covers his sons ears and Hawks groans knowing what’s about to come out. “I fucked Hawks and knocked him up.” He says and Hawks wants to die right there but also at least it wasn’t as bad as Hawks originally thought.
And Shoto like malfunctions right there and Touya is grinning. Bakugo and Deku are so confused but focusing on Shoto like good boyfriends (If you really want they can be seen as friends but this isn’t the main focus). Endeavour is ready to lose it.
It’s great. Eventually things calm down and Touya leaves with the kids but not after being invited to dinner and now Touya is hella excited to cause some shit.
They have to wait for their son to get better. So it takes a few days but the dinner finally happens.
Hawks wants to die because he knows exactly what Touya has planned and he just wants the night to go normally.
So they go to dinner, everything’s fine Shoto is all better now and is getting along really well with their son and like while Touya is here to cause shit it warms his heart and it makes him realise that he misses his siblings and maybe if all goes well he could bring them into his life fully again.
Natsuo ends up joining in with Shoto and Touya watches before his son demands cutely he plays with them so he does.
Endeavour isn’t there yet and Hawks is helping Fuyumi with dinner while holding the baby. The two are getting along great which is another tick in Touyas book.
Endeavour ends up not showing for dinner which outs all of Touyas plans on hold which is fine he gets to enjoy his siblings without him around. They ask questions about his life and Touya tells them everything.
He even gives them his number and they make plans to spend more time together before he leaves with his husband and family.
They go home put the kids to bed then sit on the couch watching some boring movie and holding each other. Touya is overall happy with how the night turned out and his next step is to go see his mum but for now he is content spending time with his husband, his kids and getting to know his siblings again.

Hawks x Todoroki!Fem!Reader
Hey! Requests are open to feel free to ask!
The fem!reader is a Todoroki here!
"Mmh... What could Shoto want to buy her? Well, I better wait for him to tell me about this girl." Y/N was making her way to meet with her younger brother, Shoto. He asked for her help to buy something for a girl, so being a great older sister, Y/N agreed.
Y/N is very close to her siblings since she is one of the oldest of the five Todoroki's. Y/N born a year after Touya and when their mother was sent to the hospital, she took the mother role for them. Obviously, Fuyumi helped her but Y/N wanted Fuyumi to have a normal childhood. Making her like the second mother for them.
For Shoto was the same. After Rei was sent to the hospital, he always went to Y/N after training for comfort. Sometimes, she had to cheer him up after a rough training and he started crying.
Now, with 24 years, Y/N keeps talking with her siblings and helping them the best she can. She visits her mother a lot too, more than her siblings.
For her dad, she only waits that someday he realizes what he could have and that now he at least tries to get closer to his kids.
"Y/N-nee. Sorry that I'm late." Y/N turned to where the voice comes from. She sees her little brother coming her way. She got up from where she was sitting and hug him.
"Don't worry Shoto! Well, let's begin with this!" She was excited, her brother didn't have a normal childhood and she knew that better than anyone. Seeing him try so hard for this girl made her happy. "If you want me to help you to search for something perfect for her, you have to tell me about this girl first. Let's take a walk while you tell me about her and after that, we can go and buy her something."
"Yeah, sure. That's the best way." And so, Shoto starts talking about the girl.
Y/N enjoyed listening to him, hearing in his voice the appreciation that he has for her and watching his eyes shine a little while he talked about her. She wanted someone to talk about her like that. As a teenager, she didn't have a lover since her siblings were the most important thing for her, but now that she doesn't have much responsibility over them, she can begin searching for someone. But she hasn't had the time.
After walking around and talking all the way, Shoto finished and Y/N came up with an excellent idea for the girl.
"Momo was it? OK, I'm sure that she will like this." Y/N showed him the gift that she was thinking about. A ring, not too expensive but beautiful indeed. After Shoto bought it (with Endeavor's credit card) the two of them got out of the shop. Y/N told Shoto that she'll walk him to UA so nothing happens to him in the way there. In her words, it was getting too late and he was tired to notice if some villain came out of nowhere.
"Y/N, you really don't need to keep me company, what if something happens to you in your way to your apartment? I should be the on-" the girl put her hand in front of his face, putting a stop to his ranting immediately. She didn't want to hear him say that she was weak.
"You know that I'm strong Shoto. I don't need someone to protect me. Dad trained me too and I have a dual quirk like yours but I didn't want to be a hero. I prefer to be a teacher. But even so, I'm strong so I can take care of myself."
Looking towards Shoto, Y/N saw him looking down. She felt bad for how she replied to him. It wasn't in an angry tone but maybe he took it in a bad way.
"Don't feel bad, I know your intentions were good. You're too overprotective." She gave him a reassuring smile. "I will be fine. It's not even dark, see?" Y/N's hands were pointing at the sky trying to make her point valid.
They said goodbye after arriving at UA. Y/N saw him enter the dorms and then took her leave making her way home.
On the way home, she remembers that she had to make dinner. Thinking about what to make she didn't realize that someone was calling her from afar.
When the voice got closer she for out of her thoughts. She turned around to see who was calling for her. It was none other than Endeavor.
"Dad? What are you doing here?" Y/N was genuinely curious about it? She saw how he tensed when she called him 'Dad'.
"I'm... Patrolling. How have you been? I didn't saw you the other day when Shoto and Natsu were in the house?"
"Oh, that day? Sorry, I couldn't make it." She was telling the truth. After her father fought against that Nomu and got his scar in the eye, she wanted to go see him but she didn't have time with all the work that she had.
Later that day, Fuyumi called her and told her sister what happened.
Y/N couldn't believe that her father apologized for everything.
"I had a lot of work to do that day. But Fuyumi called me and told me everything."
She was about to speak again but something caught her attention before she had the chance. Someone was behind her dad. He had blonde hair and he was wearing a hero costume.
' I feel like I have seen him before... But I can't remember.'
She turned her attention to the guy behind her dad.
"Mmmh... Hi?" Endeavor turned to look at where her daughter was looking at. He notices that Hawks was behind him.
"What the hell are you doing here birdbrain?" Endeavor got mad, he wants to talk to his daughter and he shows up? Annoying.
"Oh, hi Endeavor-san! I was patrolling here too. I saw you and come to say hi." Hawks change his attention towards Y/N fast. "And I saw you talking to this cutie so I had to come here and present myself. I'm Hawks, nice to meet you." She noticed how his tone changed for one more smooth and flirtatious.
"Nice to meet you too... I'm Todoroki Y/N." She gave him a sweet smile that Endeavor was sure that she got from Rei. Hawks face went from flirtatious to shocked.
"You are Endeavor's daughter?! You look nothing alike! And you are beautiful?! How can you be his daughter?!" Y/N was laughing at how the guy in front of her was looking back and forth between her and her father. Endeavor's face was just making this funnier for her.
After laughing for a good time, she decided to keep talking.
"Yeah, I get that a lot. I look a lot like my mother so I don't have that many things from my father." She finally turns to look at her dad. She wanted to finish talking with him but Hawks was in the way.
"Ok Hawks. I'm talking with my daughter about something important. Leave." He was angry, he really wants to finish talking with his daughter.
"Ok ok, it sure looks serious." He turned to Y/N and gave her one of his flirty smiles.
"I guess I'm going to have to ask for your number so we can keep talking later." Y/N blushed at his smooth way of asking for her number. She took a piece of paper from her bag and a pencil. After writing her number she gave it to him. Hawks left with a huge smile in his face, annoying Endeavor even more.
"... Did you really have to do that?" Endeavor was huffing, he made a mental note to kill that bird later.
"I want to finish the conversation so it was faster to give him what he wanted." Y/N was still blushing but she really wanted to finish talking with her dad. So that's what she did.
"Ok so, what did you want to say to me?"
"I'm sorry. I know that you had to take care of your sibling when... Your mother was sent to the hospital." Her blush and her flustered state were replaced by a glare directed at her father.
"After YOU sent her." Y/N pointed a finger in his face. She didn't want him to sugarcoat anything.
Endeavor stays quiet for a while. He knew that she was right.
"... I know, but I want to be someone better..."
At that moment, Y/N saw the regret in her father's eyes. Taking a deep breath she began her speech.
"You know, we could have been a happy family, with mom, with us... With Touya..." She took a deep breath. It hurts so talk about her only older brother. She misses him every day. And Endeavor could feel that. Filling him with more regret that before.
"But you only cared about power and not us. Heck, I don't even know if you even loved mom..." She looked him in the eyes this time. "But I know you are trying..."
Endeavor was taken aback by what Y/N said. She took his silence to her advantage and continue talking.
"I visit mom every week, and I have seen the flowers. But still, that doesn't mean that I'm going to forgive you. And I'm sure that Natsuo was furious when you apologized to them... Because I know him too well, and I'm sure that Shoto was just looking at you and Fuyumi trying to calm everything. Because I know them better that you. And if you want to start being a good father."
She raised her voice with the last words. Endeavor felt his breath hitch. Not even fighting villains made him felt this way. But he kept listening to his daughter.
"... start for knowing your children." Y/N finished her speech, she was out of breath. But she kept talking anyway. For her siblings and for her dad.
"Ask them how they are, worry about them. I'm sure that you are trying, and I'm happy, but do your best. Go further."
Starting to walk away, she turned to say something else.
"And as for me... I already see you as a hero at least, so give your best so I can see you as a father." And with that, she left.
After talking with her dad, Y/N arrived at her apartment. She left the bags in the table to go change her clothes. It didn't take long so she started cooking right after that.
While cutting the food she saw little drops of water in her hands. She stopped doing whatever she was doing. Her hands traveled to her face, that's when she realized that she was crying.
She broke down, she let all the tears that didn't fell when they needed it.
-Time skip-
It had been three months since Y/N talked to her dad, she watched how he tried to do his best to make her proud.
And even in so little time, a lot has changed for her.
"Y/N-chan!" She let out a little gasp from the sudden voice. It was none other than her boyfriend who found joy in scaring her whenever he found it funny.
"Hawks?! How did you get in?! I haven't given you the key to my apartment!" He does spend a lot of time in her apartment but only when she is there too. He doesn't have the keys yet.
"Ah, I got in with the window. I knocked but you didn't hear me so I have to go throw there." He smiles at her and hugged her right after. She doesn't know how he does it to make her feel so relaxed in his arms but she did. She hugs him back and stays in his arms for a while.
A week after Y/N gave him her phone number, Hawks called her and asked for a date to get to know each other. After that date, that had another one, and do on. A month and a half after, he finally had the courage to asked to be his girlfriend. They have been a couple for two months now and the two of them have enjoyed it a lot. More than Y/N expected. Not in a bad way.
Her siblings and father didn't know about her new relationship. She didn't want to rush things with Hawks or make him uncomfortable but she wanted to change that. Her family is the most important thing to her so this would be a big step for her.
With that in mind, she let go of the hug, to look at him in the eyes. She didn't miss the whine that Keigo let out after she let go of him.
"Keigo, are you free today?"
"Yeah, why? You want to go somewhere?" He tried to bring her closer to the hug again.
Now, letting go completely from the hug and leaving a pouting Hawks. Y/N turned around and began looking for her things.
"I want you to go somewhere with me."
She didn't tell him where they were going. Y/N made her way to the hospital where her mother is. She wants her to meet Keigo to finally let her know that she is having a normal and happy life.
The first step is her mother and then her siblings and father.
"We are here." Y/N smiled at the familiar building. Her boyfriend just watched her with confusion all over his face. Why were they in a hospital?
"Ah! Y/N-san! Good to see you!" Hawks watched in confusion at how a nurse greets his girlfriend with so much familiarity in her voice. He didn't know that Y/N was known in the hospital since she goes every week to see her mom.
"Your mom is in her room." The same nurse told Y/N and then left her with Hawks.
"Wait..." Hawks began to put everything together and he began to get nervous fast.
"Y/N... I know your mom was in a hospital, you told me about it. But you want me to meet her now?! What if she doesn't like me?!" He was panicking. Y/N that he was gonna start panicking, that's the main reason why she didn't tell him where they were going beforehand.
She put her hands in his face. Her hold was gentle and it made him relax almost instantly.
"You know, if you got me to love you I'm sure that my mom is going to love you too." She gave him a sweet smile. Oh, how Hawks loves her smile.
He was blushing, that's the other thing that he loves the most about her, she gets this side of him. He relaxes in her hands and let out a breath."Ok, let's do this."
Taking his hand, Y/N opens the door.
"Hi, mom. I want you to meet someone." Y/N gave her mother a big smile. She has talked about him a lot with her mom, she even told him how they met.
"Hello dear. I'm guessing that the young man is Hawks?" Rei smiled at him. It was the same smile that his girlfriend gave him to calm him down.
'Like mother, like daughter huh?'
Putting his best smile and trying to hind his nerves, Hawks introduce himself.
"Pleasure to meet you Miss Todoroki. Now I know from where Y/N got her beauty." His girlfriend and her mother just laughed at his comment.
The evening pass with laughter from the mother and daughter duo and jokes from Hawks. Rei gave Hawks her blessing. Leaving a blushing Y/N and a smirking Hawks.
The couple arrives at Y/N's apartment. She went to change her clothes and then she began cooking for dinner. In the middle of it, she felt a pair of arms hugging her from behind.
"Keigo, I'm making dinner. Weren't you hungry?" She smiled to herself when she felt Hawks hugging her tighter. But when he began to get close to her neck and she felt his breathing, her face turned red just like the color of his wings.
"Yeah... But I want to hold you more." He snuggles closer to her. Making Y/N stop cutting the ingredients for dinner, turning around and returning his hug.
That's how they lost their dinner because of a needy Keigo.
-Time skip-
"Hawks... My siblings are coming. Do you want to meet them?" It has been a few days since he met Rei and he was confident that Y/N's siblings were going to love him.
Oh, how wrong he was.
"Yeah! When are they going to arrive?" Just when Y/N was about to answer him, the two of them heard a knock at the door
"They are here." Y/N made her way to the door and open it to her sibling. She greets them happily and told them to come inside.
"How have you been Natsuo? I haven't seen you in a long time!" Y/N hugged her younger brother. He was in college so she didn't get to see him a lot. She did feel bad but Natsuo always reassures her that it was fine and not to worry.
"I have been great! And you, ho-" Natsuo was happy to see his big sister and he was more than happy to tell her about his college. However, his face went from happy to overprotective in a second.
"Y/N-nee, what is a guy doing in your apartment."
'Well, he notices him fast.'
She let go of Natsuo's hug and went to hug Hawks to show her point.
"Well, I want you to meet Hawks, my boyfriend." She said it with a proud smile in her face that made Hawks smile too.
"You have a boyfriend, Nee-chan?! You didn't tell!" Fuyumi was surprised, but happy nonetheless. 'So that's why she has been happier!'
"Yeah... I'm sorry, but at least he met mom already and he loved him. Right, Keigo?" She turned to look at her boyfriend only to see that the smile that he had just a moment ago was replaced with a frown. Natsuo and Shoto were having a glaring contest with Keigo. Y/N let go of Hawks and let out a long sigh.
"Let's go to the kitchen Fuyumi. I knew they were going to do that."
"So you are the one who didn't leave time for Y/N to join me in shopping something again." Shoto was glaring at Hawks. He didn't like her sister to spend time with another guy. Yeah, he is the overprotective and jealous little brother.
"And Y/N doesn't go to MY place anymore cuz she has to spend all her time with you." Natsuo was glaring at Hawks, he was the same type as Shoto.
At that moment, Hawks knew that this wasn't going to be like meeting Y/N's mom. He was in trouble.
"Well, you are angry with me but have you seen how happy your sister is now?" Hawks smirked. He was going to play the guilty card. A dirty okay but effective none the less.
Natsuo and Shoto were quiet now. He was right, Y/N do seem a lot happier than before.
The two left a growl out. They hate losing.
"OK, fine, just don't hurt her." Natsuo was still glaring at him.
"I would never. I love her a lot to hurt her. For real." Hawks smile, remembering the time that they have spent together.
"Well you seem honest so I'm sure that you are a good guy. Take care of her." Shoto relaxed seeing that Hawks really cared for his sister.
Y/N finished making dinner and called everyone to eat. All of them were talking about trivial things. Y/N was happy that her family accepted Hawks and their relationship together.
Overall, it was a great dinner and Y/N really enjoy her time with the people she loves the most.
-Time skip-
"Bye! See you soon!" Y/N close the door after saying bye to her siblings.
"Wow, I'm tired." After a long day, she really was hoping to go to sleep fast.
"Mmh, I'm tired too, but at least now I know your siblings. I'm happy about that." Hawks smile at her, he knows that she really tries her best when it comes to her siblings.
"Yeah, I feel like you are part of the family now. A little bit." She said. She went to hug him and Keigo correspond to her instantly.
"Why don't we go to sleep? We are both tired..." Y/N just nodded her head. She was too sleepy to talk now. Keigo took her in his arms and made his way carefully to her room. He laid her down in her bed.
"I have to go now, princess. See you tomorrow." Kissing her forehead as a goodbye, he started to walk to the door only to being stopped by Y/N who just grabbed his arm.
"Mmmh... Hawks, stay with me..." She was sleepy, but with the last effort, she asked him to stay with her.
He smile at her even when she had close her eyes. "Ok princess." He made his way to the bed and laid down to cuddle with his girlfriend.
Saying goodbye to each other the two of them fell sleep in Y/N's bed hugging each other.

This is something I question a lot and maybe it just hasn’t hit me. What would you say All Mights relationship towards Endeavor is like? I would think he would dislike him for abusing Shouto or being so rough and competitive. And yet regardless, he seems neutral, somewhat sympathetic towards him enough to give him advices, worry for him when he got badly injured, and encouraged Midoriya and Bakugou to take an internship with him. So what exactly does he think of him?
It's weird but thinking about it, I don't think All Might has shown any genuine dislike for anyone but AfO or Shigaraki during USJ. I doubt he likes other villains, but seems to take them out because it's his job/to protect others, not because he personally hates them.
I don't think he really noticed Endeavor much before he retired. They talked while working together on join missions probably but considering how focused All Might was on being the Symbol of Peace and literally being everywhere, saving as many people as possible, it's doubtful he really understood Endeavor's dislike of him. He also could have even seen his rude attitude as Endeavor's public persona, not his actual personality. Either way it doesn't seem like Toshinori gave him a huge amount of thought, past seeing him as a fellow coworker.
After Toshinori retired he payed more attention to him, probably realizing the huge burden he left Enji with. He's never been the type of guy to turn someone away if they needed help and so he was happily gave Endeavor advice when he asked for it. Plus, I'm sure he wanted to help Endeavor succeed because it means people stay safe. If Enji fails, people will get scared and things could get bad for everyone--a fear Toshinori has had for a while.
All Might was also worried about him when he got hurt by the Nomu, most likely remembering his own injury he got from AfO and fearing the same could happen to Endeavor. Even if he didn't like Endeavor, it's hard to watch someone get beaten bloody, especially when you know the life long pain they could end up suffering as a result.
As for Shoto's abuse, it's hard to say how he feels about it or how much he knew/suspected before Dabi's broadcast. He picked up that Shoto didn't like his father, but it's not necessarily a given that that means abuse (or at least physical abuse, which is generally the only kind that will get kids removed from a household). He could have asked, but in Japan that can be seen as prying and rude (take how Aizawa suspected Iida was going to go after Stain, but approved his internship anyway and never really asked about his emotional state).
And, yes, Shoto has a scar, but Horikoshi kind of doesn't treat it as if it's there most of the time. Like no one even bats an eye at it, not even Izuku, until Shoto tells him how he got it. Horikoshi doesn't treat it how it inevitably would be if it were RL because that would sort of ruin his story. Being a celebrity, the entire incident with Rei would be public knowledge--no HPSC secret cover up would work, because anyone seeing Shoto would be wondering where he got it, and what happened to Enji's wife. Even if the abuse from Enji was covered up, everyone would know it was his mom that burned him--but that just doesn't make an interesting character reveal.
So, if the first time All Might learned of the abuse, how does that effect how he feels about Enji?
Well, we don't know. Unfortunately we haven't really gotten much insight into how anyone really sees Enji now that the abuse is known. Seemingly Hawks and BJ are fine with him, after making sure he's not still hurting Shoto, but it's not like they have much choice but to put any negative feelings it gives them on the back burner anyway. Japan is literally struggling not to collapse as a country, everyone is homeless now, and has to be held in shelters to protect them from wandering gangs of villains, including serial killers. They have limited resources and helping hands. If they have some negative feelings about Enji being a past abuser they don't really have the time to or luxury to express them--he's their strongest guy and they need his help.
This same idea applies to All Might. He doesn't really have any choice but to work with Enji. He can't protect Izuku or help him fight on his own--all he can do is give him dinner. But, honestly, past Toshinori letting the top three shadow Izuku, we haven't had any real interaction between Enji and him, so who knows how he feels about Dabi's broadcast and Enji admitting to the abuse. until we get that, it's really hard to say what their relationship is now.

The Day Shouto discovered his sister is a Girl
Notes: Fuyumi needs more love. That’s all
Fandom: Boku no Hero Academia
Genre: Fluff
Pairings: Fuyusei (FuyumixTense) Huwumi (FuyumixHawks)
Summary: Or the four times Shouto Todoroki saw someone flirting with Fuyumi and the one time he did something about it.
WARNING: Mineta being Mineta
The first time it happened it took him by surprise and it left as soon as it came. He was also not prepared.
The whole class had just came back from winter break and were all sharing stories from their time apart in the common room. Mina had gone ice-skating, Jirou, Kaminari and Momo went to a concert together, Koda had gone to a rally in the park, Hagakure and Ojiro were now officially dating.
“What about you guys?” Asui asked, looking at him, Midoriya and Bakugou. “Did you do anything apart from the internship kero?”
“Well, I spent a lot of time with my mom. And my dad came back for two weeks, so I also spent a lot of time with him.” Midoriya said as his cheeks turned pinkish for being in the spotlight. “Oh, and I had dinner with Kacchans family.”
Bakugou growled at that as everybody chuckled at the image. They sometimes forgot how close the two actually were. Then all eyes turned to him. Guess it was his turn to talk.
“I…. I learnt how to make snow cones with my sister…”
“WAIT,” Kaminari interrupted him. “You have a sister?”
“Yeah, her name is Fuyumi. She’s a teacher…” He said, taking out his phone and displaying a photo of her on the screen (a selfie Natsuo took with him and Fuyumi squished to his side) and passed the phone for his classmates to see.
Their reaction were… wierd. At least for him. Fuyumi was like a second mom to him. She cooked for him, cleaned, took care of him, she even helped him in some subjects to enter U.A. So other people calling her thing like, cute, nice, or other was not what he was accustom to.
“Man, I sure wish your sister gave private classes….” Mineta slured with drool dripping out of his mouth. He was stopped by Jirou and one of her earjacks.
“What….”
“So, IIDA,” Shouto got interrupted again but this time by Sero “What did you do on winter break?”
.
The second time lasted longer. And Fuyumi was there. Sort of. He wasn’t prepared this time either.
They had just left the hospital after an evening with Mom and were going to their now usual hangout, a small french cafe. They had come so many times that the staff already knew their orders by heart.
He went to the register as Fuyumi picked a table for them. But as he was waiting in line to order, he couldn’t help but listen part of the conversation between two men in front of him.
“You saw the hottie that just entered… the one sitting alone in the back,?”
"Yeah, what do you think her bra size is?”
He stoped listening after that. He was not going to pay attencion to two pigs without manners. Soon they left with their order and Shoto received his minutes later. When he turned to find his sister, he saw the two pigs were next to her table while she was looking at her phone, completly ignoring them.
He didn’t understood it. Why would they do that? And with Fuyumi no less.
Yes he knew his sister was pretty and polite, but that didn’t mean that guys should go after her. Yes, she was in a dateable age, but… but… Fuyumi didn’t date and that was it.
He was marching there with every intencion of roasting the two pigs, when they left on their own. But not before giving her a flimsy piece of paper and throwing her a kiss.
When he sat on the table, he asked her what happend to which Fuyumi responded: “Nothing I couldn’t handle, don’t worry. Besides, it happens all the time.”
Oh, okay. His sister could handle it…..
Wait, what does she mean by all the time?
.
The third and fourth time happened so close to each other that he was not able to react to neither of them. Even though he was prepared.
It was during an open class day. Kind of like a culture festival, but only two people per student. Natsuo wasn’t able to come due to a tournament, so Fuyumi came alone.
The day started as a normal school day, except when the heroics class came, the students guest’s were able to watch and or participate. During his hero class, he saw Fuyumi chatting animatedly with a guy on a wheelchair. Most likely Iida’s brother.
That was okay.
He was okay with that.
Iida Tensei was respectable, polite and hard working…. and if anything did went wrong, he was in a wheelchair…. a little push and it was over….. so, yes…. he was okay with it….. he was…
Okay, he wasn’t. Why wasn’t he?
And apparently he was starring too. Because Midoriya asked him what was wrong. “Nothing, I just…. nothing” He responded turning his back to his sister and watching her laught with the ex pro-hero.
"Todoroki, why are you glaring at Iidas brother?" Asui asked him bluntly as always. He could feel how everybody was waiting for his explanations to why he was rudely starring at a disabled man.
"Hey, pay attention half and half bastard!" To be honest, he has never been more grateful for Bakugou's crude language.
When the exercise was over and class A and B joined their guest, the first thing he noticed was another guy talking to his sister.
This one was blonde and his laught was just like Monomas. He looked like an asshole.
"Why is everybody flirting with my sister?" He asked himself with a sigh quietly.
But apparently not quiet enough, since Mineta decided to answer him.
"She does have a great size of knockers"
Judging by how fast Minetas face had turned white, he must of not have reacted well to that.
.
The fifth time he saw it happened he did something. He was prepared. Or so he thought.
He was just arriving home for the weekend when he heard it. Laughter. From his sister and somebody else. He pressed himself against the tatami wall to hear better.
"... and somehow we ended up in the roof of the Empire State"
"You have the wildest night out, Takami"
Who the hell was Takami?
"Well, we are always looking for another partner in crime. We loved if you come"
Once he heard that, he automatically slided the door open. And in the couch, way too close to Fuyumi, holding a cup was the number 2 hero, Hawks. The door opening made both adults look up and, thankfully, separate a little.
"Hi Shouto" Fuyumi welcomed him with a smile "How are you? How was school?"
"Fine" He responded as he sat in between them. "My scar itches though, do we have something for it?" He turned his back to Hawks to ask his sister.
"I think we still do. Wait here" With that she left the room.
"Your eye okay, Shouto?" And now to deal with the bird infestations.
"No. You should leave" He told him looking at him dead in the eyes. He only got a confused stare as a response.
Time to bring out the big gun. "Does Endevor know you are here flirting with his only daughter?"
He doubted his old man would care. But from his reaction, he didn't know that. Perfect.
"I have the cream for your scar Shouto." And just in time for his sister to come back into the room.
She handed it to him and asked if he needed help applying it. "No, I'm fine. Thank you, sis". He smiled at her and then returned to stare at Hawks.
She smiled in return and turned to Hawks, who jumped back to his feet when he felt her gaze. "Is everything okay, Takami?"
Suddenly, Hawks grinned at him but changed it to a smile when he turned to Fuyumi.
"Yeah, I just didn't realise what time it was. But..." He took out a napkin and a pen from the pockets of his hero costume and scribbled something down. He then gave the napkin to Fuyumi. "If you want a wild night out, call me."
His sister turned red like a tomato while he saw red. He chased Hawks out of the house and once he left, he went back to Fuyumi to see her staring confused at the napkin with Hawks number.
The end.

i know you're busy so no rush but please give us your thoughts on the latest mha chapter
All right so I won’t do like a full blown review but I’ll at least give you all of my thoughts of it right now this was an amazing breather chapter. Incredibly filled with new ones between the Todoroki Family dynamic as well as the symbolism of the now scarred Enji.
You’ll notice I said Enji because this is the first time we see him without his flame mask on really showing how as a person he now differs from his heroic light. In the public view he is now the number one hero people will see as the pillar of justice but in his own personal life he still the abusive jackass who emotionally broke his children.
It is good that we are getting that reflective look made by Enji and as I said previously I will forgive and definitely feel like he wants to change once I hear him say sorry it seems as though his arc personally will be he wants to start rectifying things in his personal life before he asks for forgiveness. It honestly makes me think that Horikoshi might actually include family counseling in the series.
And even looking outside of that I did like the look into Todoroki’s psyche. I know plenty of people who still will never forgive Enji or even consider what he’s doing worth forgiveness but they were curious why Shoto seems so easily concerned about him. It appears that Enji and Endeavor are two different people to Shoto. Endeavor is the number 1 hero he sought training from and Enji is the father he still resents.
Also yes, Touya… it’s going to be Dabi. Like to not have it be Dabi would be the biggest “HUH?” Moment ever. And speaking of other characters Hawks got more development. Looking into his history we see what he was like and it really honestly shows why he’s not concerned with personal fame or fortune, he and his quirk were natural born heroes and he had the role of heroism thrust on to him rather than choosing at himself. It really adds depth to the idea of him just wanting to live in a world where heroes don’t have to do anything, initially that could seem really nefarious almost but some have also said that it can interpret to mean he wants to live in a world with less crime but now it almost has the added curiosity of does he resent having to live in a world where any child just because of how proficient there quirk is at protecting people would they have to go through the same thrusting of responsibility onto them?
I don’t think that this is setting up for a villain turn or anything but it’s definitely casting a different light on the hero association.
And finally the last page all my God how do you have a chapter where I want to see more of the family drama and the only thing that’s trying to rip me away is the story about our big bad guy’s past. Well I’m definitely interested to see it I will always be one of the people who find the whole memory sharing aspect a very weird about one for all in fact that’s arguably the wine part of the sports Festival I hate where all the spirits of former One for all users just snap Deku out of it.
But hey back story time and looking at how all for one little brother looks very similar to Shigaraki, i’m wondering if one for all was initially all passed down through the shimura family.
I give this chapter in 8 out of 10 because it’s a very different type of chapter it’s one that involves a lot of talking and intercharacter reaction it’s not the greatest chapter ever by any means but it’s one that definitely talks about a lot of things that need to be discussed.
