☾ So, I hesitated writing this for a number of reasons, but I decided I don't care. Hozier has a new song, April has me face down in the mattress with how hard it's fucked me and I just want to write about a Link near and and dear to my heart.

☾ Mario Kart Link.

☾ He's just a silly lil goober who's always having a good time. Especially when I play as him because what is second place? He'll never know.

☾ I know, canonically, both are Skyward Sword! Link and Breath of the Wild! Link. I do not care.

☾ Because come with me, sinner, as we explore a whole new world. A world where Mario Kart isn't a silly lil game. It's an empire.

☾ Like Fast and the Furious (I think, idk I never watched any of them). OR like sk8 the infinity at S. I do know that one.

☾ There are real things at stake here. It's intense, and it's heavy.

☾ Here, give me a break while I do some worldbuilding here. Mystery blocks are still a thing, they work by magic idk, except getting hit by one of those things is devastating. It's why the newcomers don't last long.

☾ All the main screen players (Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Inkling boy, etc.) are high level racers. They are A-listed and the ones you look out for if you see them in the lineup.

☾ Including Link himself. He drives a motorcycle he named Epona, which he built himself from scratch.

☾ I spent a lot of time (three minutes) trying to figure out a clever nickname for him, and then I saw some of the names other people gave their Linksona's and, while there's nothing wrong with them, I quickly realized I was overthinking things.

☾ It's mostly a stage name, his name is Link and outside of the raceway, he goes by it.

☾ But, for shits and giggles, and point of discerning him from the others, I don't care. Call him ratchet, greaser, racer, cypher, tank, axel, sparks. I'm giving you all the freedom! Me? Personally? I'm going to call him:

☾ Neo- a combining form meaning “new,” “recent,” “revived,” “modified,”

☾ Great I gave you some background, let's get into the fun parts.

☾ Neo, where do we begin with you.

☾ Have y'all read A Court of Mist and Fury? You know Rhysand?

☾ He's Cassian coded.

☾ LMAO You thought.

☾ He's a fun, kind-of guy but when shit gets real, he can shift from zero to a hundred like that.

☾ He'll be laughing with a newbie, patting them on the shoulder, but the second that visor comes down, he's unrecognizable. He's an A-lister for a reason.

☾ He's infamous for taking shortcuts that are insanely dangerous. He's almost always bandaged somewhere, but not his pretty boy, play bunny face.

This week is Sk8 3rd anniversary.... So for celebrating, can I ask a few things :

-Who are your fav character from this series? Why?

-What are your fav moments from this series? -What are your opinions on this fandom's famous ships : Reki/ Langa, Cherry/ Joe, Adam/ Tadashi?

Season 2 and an OVA are coming (eventually)! Which is more than we can say for other series' so I'm going to remain delusionally hopeful. I think it'd be nice if, instead of announcing long awaited continuations, new seasons dropped like Beyonce albums. Without warning and like an unexpected blessing. Just like this ask so thank you for reaching out!

FAVORITE CHARACTER

Sk8 has a wonderful band of idiots who I adore but Cherry is, by far, my favorite. Most specifically through the interactions he has with Joe because they are just so catty and mean to one another but you just know it belies an affection from their entrenched history together whether you consider them a ship them or not.

I love that Cherry had this rebellious era and continues to do so as a respectable adult while juggling such a disciplined craft and career. Like, that dichotomy is just 😘👌🏾. Goals, honestly. He maintains this split by ensuring that his S persona and his everyday persona remain mutually exclusive similar to how Adam conducts himself. Which, now that I'm thinking about it, might be kind of sad but he is, somewhat, of a man of contrasts.

Like, the way his talents splinter is so interesting. He is a founding member of S wherein he remains a threat, an established and respected calligrapher... plus, I feel like he customized Carla himself. What a nerd! Plus, Cherry is so gender. ✨

THOUGHTS ON SHIPS

Reki & Langa - idiot x idiot, I love it? But also, how silly to show someone something you love so intensely only for that love to envelope them so completely. Both in how they receive your hobby but also in how they just become a part of your life. Plus, Langa sees Reki's strengths that he takes for granted and its so necessary because they both think the sun shines out of each others' ass. Also, I see them as a reincarnation of AshEiji from Banana Fish.

Cherry & Joe - Yes. Was that not evident from above? Yes. They fight like an old (and sassy) married couple and then will have a moment of saccharine sweetness that's just... too much. There's also a hilarious sense of patience Joe must have to adapt to Cherry vs. Kaoru and its more evident because there's who the pair are when they are around others, regardless of who the others are, and then who they are when they're alone. Like, why put on the act, guys? Just kiss already.

Adam & Tadashi - As long as it's consensual, I guess, but I'm sure Tadashi could do better.

Oka & Shadow - Okay, but go with me here. Please thank the chokehold umikochannart had on keeping this ship sailing before they wiped their IG of all evidence.

FAVORITE MOMENTS

"Push me, Reki." - needs no explanation.

Reki defending Miya's honor - When you see Miya's backstory, his isolation is really sad and makes him vulnerable to Adam's predation but Reki punched well above his weight to defend Miya and it effectively brought the kid into the fold and I loved that. And that's on the power of friendship. ✨ Reki really subjugated everyone in that friend group and is not appreciated enough for it.

When everyone cockblocked Joe - Not every show needs a beach episode. This one does.

Sia La Luce after hours - the fact that Kaoru, after being bride carried by Joe, broke out of the hospital just to go running back to Joe is just so... beautifully chaotic and unexpected. Add a zest of Jonah Scott murmuring "We're not alone, right, Kaoru?" and I am undone.

When the might of Reki's rain wheels kicked in - Overcame insecurity by utilizing the gift he'd had all along? AGH. So perfect, so proud.

When Reki's laughter melts into that of young Adam's - only because that was really sweet

Not in the show but: sharing this series with my niece and nephew and them loving it just as much as I do. They're pretty young so the Venn Diagram of "Shows I Love" vs "Shows I Can Share With Them As A Discerning Adult" has a pretty narrow overlap. So imagine my surprise when my nephew randomly makes a SK8 joke or observation or when my niece drew fan art of Carla? We also sing and dance and laugh during the intro and outtro so I hope they remember the series affectionately when they're older.

Thank you for asking! This post will get way too long if I answer all your questions, so here's a post where I talk about some of my fav HxH moments (4/5 of which are KilluGon related), and here's my Headcanons tag to see some of the headcanons I've posted or approved of previously. I'm sure I'll revisit similar questions to these over time as well.

I haven't had anyone ask about ships that remind me of KilluGon though, and it's a fun question to answer! I think KilluGon is very unique, so these might not be incredibly similar, but I'm focusing on ships that give me a similar feeling or have commonalities that I think are worth mentioning. I enjoy all of these ships to varying degrees!

I'm going to stay away from ships from big, currently popular shounen series that people typically bring up in comparison with HxH (JJK, HeroAca, etc.), both because the ships I've come across in those don't actually remind me of KilluGon very deeply, and also because it's more fun to recommend ships/series people may not have heard of already!

Reki Kyan and Langa Hasegawa (Sk8 the Infinity)

I'm all but certain these two were based off Gon and Killua in part--the personalities of the two and dynamic between them feels fairly similar, and the antagonist of the series, Adam, also strongly feels like he's based off of Hisoka. The series itself is less serious/dark than HxH so the intensity isn't the same, but they definitely have a similar strong friendship basis and mutual adoration to Gon and Killua.

Suletta Mercury and Miorine Rembran (Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury)

Suletta is straightforward, somewhat oblivious, and grew up isolated from others (a bit like Gon), and Miorine is confident, tsundere, and trying to escape the influence of her rich and powerful family (a bit like Killua), and the two hit it off quickly and find joy and inspiration to keep going in each other. The degree to which they influence, support, and adore each other feels familiar. There are some later developments (spoilers) that remind me of Gon and Killua as well.

Yuki Sanada and Haru (Tsuritama)

Yuki, who has severe anxiety, ends up having his life transformed when the strange and overly friendly Haru appears suddenly. There's a real cuteness, joyfulness, and closeness between them that reminds me of Gon and Killua, and the way they help each other understand the world differently and change each others' perspectives as well.

Maru and Kiruko (Tengoku Daimakyou / Heavenly Delusion)

I can't say too much about this ship because I don't want to spoil any surprises, but let's just say in at least one major way it's not how it appears. Maru (the blond one) shares several commonalities with Killua, though he's at least a bit more straightforward in his emotions like Gon; while Kiruko is somewhat more tsundere initially (due to understandable past reasons). Their bond reminds me of Gon and Killua in that they travel all around together and develop a very close friendship and devotion to one another, and while one is more openly affectionate the other holds back more initially.

(This series contains some mature content, including a depiction of sexual assault, so please be careful when checking it out, but it's fantastic!)

Shindou Hikaru and Touya Akira (Hikaru no Go)

These two are rivals and obviously Gon and Killua are not, but at the same time there's a certain intensity and degree of being obsessed with each other than reminds me of KilluGon, as well as things like their bickering and the degree to which the series revolves around their connection. It's been a long time since I read the manga so I admittedly can't remember all the details, but I feel like it's maybe a few steps closer to Gon and Killua than, say, Hinata and Kageyama from Haikyuu (though that's also a great rivals -> friends ship that has some commonalities with KilluGon). It has a strong canon basis and I remember really enjoying how their bond develops!

Riko and Reg (Made in Abyss)

Riko is an adventurous, plucky girl who goes on a dangerous journey to find her missing parent, while Reg the robot boy supports her on their adventure (and semi-secretly adores her). Reg is also voiced by Mariya Ise, Killua's seiyuu, so it's hard not make the comparison! The personalities of the two are definitely similar and their bond feels familiar.

(Made in Abyss looks cute but it contains a great deal of upsetting/potentially triggering content, please be careful if you decide to watch or read it! It's amazing, but definitely not a series that will appeal to everyone.)

If you don't mind me asking, can I ask your top favorite fics that you've written (feel free how much that you want to list)? Why they're special to you? Is there a specific inspiration when you wrote them?

I'll tell you, all my fics are special to me and most of the time, I find myself having fun writing them. Writing isn't just a hobby, but a way for me to release pent up feelings I have or express an idea that came to me.

To name a couple...

Beware of the Bunnies - It's the first fic I wrote for "if Miruko was Midoriya's mentor". It was fun writing that fic, especially when it's a fic for my two #1 faves. I honestly didn't expect the amount of attention I got for it!

Not Red, Black - I sometimes like branching out from writing warm-hearted, funny fics and this is one of those times. Another AU idea I had, but if Miruko and Midoriya were eldritch-like creatures and related. Unlike its prequel, this one stepped more in horror imagery and I think the direction the fic took.

Forbid a Woman from Being Great - Yes, another Miruko fic and one I actually wrote out of spite. When it comes to this fandom (as with any), is how double standard they can get. With Miruko, I have seem people hate her for being "too aggressive" or "too mean", but praise other characters for those same traits or even give excuses for their behavior. Or with fanservice, the same people who complain about it also thirst over the male characters getting bloody and shirtless. I don't hate characters like Dabi, Shigaraki or Hawks but I can't stomach how their fans act when it comes to Miruko or any other character really. It was actually a Hawks fan that irritated me enough to write this fic as well as get me out of the writing funk I was in.

An Absolute Menace - This is a fun little fic. It's part of a series of Class A and occasionally B partaking in antics. With this one, writing Koda as this troll was new, but fun.

Let's SK8 Over the Rainbow - This is actually a SK8 series that I wrote and it's still one of my favorites. It started off as a headcanon (Reki allowing Koyomi to paint his nails) and then spiraled into a collection of short stories themed around colors and I love colors so much. One of the fics, You're Lime Green Jell-O, I dove into expanding a character that only appeared once in SK8. Her name is Miki and she has green hair and I remember seeing her and going "You, you're getting some personality, a story, etc." Best decision ever. I just loved writing Miki and I think it was the first time I wrote a whole story for a character that only had two lines in canon.

Tu es le Moment Auquel J'appartiens - Another series I adore. I wanted to write some jealous Vanitas since I don't think I had seen a lot of Vanoé fics where he was the jealous one while Noé was more oblivious. Not at the time, I don't know about now since I haven't read a VNC fic in a long time. The title translates to "You are the moment I belong to" which is a line of lyrics from the anime's first ending song that I love so much.

It's the Pink Hair, Isn't It? - Do not get me wrong! I do love the AUs I see where Sukuna and Yuji are brothers, but the idea of this fic came from what if they were identical strangers and not related in the slightest. Even funnier, in the fic, Kenjaku and Suguru are siblings that look like twins, but Kenjaku is older. My favorite scenes probably have to be Kenjaku and Yuji interacting and Sukuna and Yuji meeting. I've also been cooking up a sequel so I can write more of Kenjaku and Suguru being siblings and Yuji's brothers and I do mean all nine older brothers. (I relate to Choso so much.)

Your Heartbeat Is My Comfort - Ever see a beautiful piece of fanart and you want to write a fic about it? That's what happened here. I saw this FushiIta art post here and it was like BAM! I had to write a fic. It was also another I didn't write something comedic, but more somber, bit of tragedy yet comfort in there.

Maybe Someday We'll Meet Again - I'm all for the Teacher Geto AU! However, this fic came from a what if scenario had Suguru and Yuji had met when they were younger and I always how Kenjaku was even aware of Suguru's technique. So I put both ideas together and thus this fic was born. It isn't dark, but little less comedic than others and I tried my hand at focusing on more of Yuji's strangeness and innocence here along with Suguru's character before he became a curse user.

You Are My Special - Again, another time I went for less comedy and fluff and tried with something else. I actually don't know how to categorize this one in terms of genre. SPECIALZ was stuck in my head for a long time and it got when I really started thinking about the lyrics and decided why not try writing something from Kenjaku's POV about Yuji? It may have took forever to write, but I'm glad I did. I actually wanted to write a companion piece of sorts but from Sukuna's POV about Yuji.

The Pink Sky and Cherry Blossoms - I actually just posted this fic and I'm glad I waited to answer this ask because of it. I was rereading the manga and came to Uro's fight with Ryu and Yuta and instantly fell in love with her character and thought about how would it have been like if Uro met my other favorite, Yuji? They have some similarities going on there and it was eye-opening writing those into this fic, especially with Uro's character. I wasn't around when that arc came out, so I didn't know how the fandom acted towards her, but for me, I just felt there's more to her than the surface. She's the Miruko of JJK to me as Yuji is the Izuku. Just as I would love for Miruko and Izuku to be a duo in a big sis-lil bro/mentor-mentee way, I love the same for Uro and Yuji.

The Craving That Paints Your Lips Red - The last fic I wrote for 2023 and a sequel to another fic, I wanted to try my hand at the horror again. But more tame, but still "Oh my gosh". I'm writing a post about it, but I have thoughts about Yuji and Sukuna's relationship and sometimes I have this feeling that Sukuna wants to corrupt Yuji, kind of like shape him to be the next him almost. Not for certain, but it's an idea that kind of struck me. For this fic, I wanted to explore a more horror fic side of Yuji housing the King of Curses. The best part of this fic for me is how I unintentionally stuck with the idea that Yuji keeps getting back up no matter how many times Sukuna tries to break him.

That list got longer than intended, but again, I have a lot of fics I have enjoyed writing! I'm glad to have talked about them and I thank you for asking! 💜

This is such a difficult question to answer, I can’t pick 😭 Pretty much every title that we watch or read or play has a bunch of characters that I adore drawing, but I guess I gravitate towards characters with long hair and unusual hairstyles or outfits?? I also feel the urge to try to draw a character when they are out of my comfort zone, which doesn’t mean that I always do it or good at it, but I always have fun drawing stuff in a different art style (like the guys from Scott Pilgrim),with complicated outfits (like Barok van Zieks) or with mechanic parts (like Ortho!)… but the last one is pretty recent, I just noticed that I kind of enjoy drawing it. I guess I love a challenge? In a way? It’s just more fun that way.

By my comfort type of character and a default option would be a gloomy boy/girl in a hoody, my heart is always smiling whenever I draw this type.

Examples of some of my faves throughout the years (without twst): Levi (SnK), Ainosuke (sk8), Killua (HxH), Shiroba (DMMD), Apollo Justice (AA), Geto (JJK)… this is just a few of them.

I also still think that Prussia from Hetalia is our ultimate boy because I’ve been drawing him for about 15 years now lol

I still giggle every time I think about how we ended up with poor Riddle being surrounded by busty girls, I swear it wasn’t intentional. But the more I think about it, the funnier and more Freudian it gets… what an aggressive way to heal mommy issues and an acute deficiency of tight hugs.

To answer your question, I think Riddle was kind of surprised when she saw Trey after being separated because she didn’t think boobs could get that big. Logically yes, it makes sense, but seeing it in person is different. Before SK8 Instagram Live event starts, I left below cut line this analysis I made of image that they showed for the event, just be aware that it is quite long. Feel free to read and add your own thoughts. I would love to know more points of view. ↓

Disclaimer: English isn't my first language so if something sounds rouge that's why, I'm still learning to improve it.

Ok, now that I've found time I'm going to write a little of what I've seen in SK∞ WEEK EVENT image and what I perceive in it. I come from a fandom where you need to speculate a lot all allegories that author puts in every thing he does so here I'm not going to be less and I'm going to be a little deep analyzing, although then that in reality it may not be so deep, who knows. I warn you that this is going to be long, as is usual for me, since I start with a tiny thought and end up writing a manuscript. Be warned. I will start with something that I find interesting and that during the whole image is repeated and it's concept of first season about Reki and Langa being the beginning (Reki's monologue in episode 1/epilogue) and the end (same monologue of Reki, said by Langa at the end of series).

The beginning: Reki is on left side of image both sitting frontally, as well as his characteristic drawing on mural ( drawing of his skateboard) and with cat showing his face on top of his skateboard. The end: Langa is on right side of the image, also drawn on the mural in the rightmost part (the yeti) and the cat showing his tail on top of his skateboard.

Reki was the one who started teaching Langa skateboarding and the importance of being more fun when you do it among friends (beginning), Langa taught ADAM what he learned from Reki (end), in the first season. It's worth mentioning that the concept of beginning (Reki) and end (Langa) is not finite, that in western and eastern reading image is read differently (west from left to right and top to bottom, east from right to left) so depending on how you read the image, Langa can be perceived as the beginning or the end (just like Reki) [Something out of context: even within the same show Reki and Langa would read the image differently, as Reki has been raised in the East while Langa has been raised in the West and even their religions are different].. Also the human being always ends something and starts something new (it's a cycle that never ends, unless you die) and it's also something interchangeable between people, objects, etc… (Reki and Langa being the beginning and the end even vary within their own arcs, Example: Reki learning from Langa to reevaluate why he started skateboarding in the beginning, is in itself a new cycle that Langa started and Reki finished when he returned to skateboard in chapter 10 after leaving it for believing that if he wasn't good it wasn't worth to continue practicing it since not being at Langa's level he would always be left behind).

Going into the mural, the background of the wall is purple (like the color that represents Shadow). Purple symbolizes jealousy and insecurity. It's also often associated with femininity, glamour and sweetness. Emotional qualities associated with purple include solemnity, grace, mystery, insecurity and tenderness. Purple was recognized as a noble color in both the West and Japan in ancient times. With that in mind to summarize and not make it much longer than it's being we could go back to the first season with the first two symbols (insecurity and jealousy), how Reki felt insecurity for his skateboarding, for his friendship with Langa endangered by seeing how he was improving and moving away from him (regardless of Langa's feelings) and the jealousy he felt towards Langa, for seeing how he improved in a very short time when he needed twice or three times as much skill to do something, without taking into account that Langa had been snowboarding since he was very young and that Reki's ability to teach Langa how to learn skateboarding, adapting the skateboard to his needs helped him to adapt and learn the basics in a short period of time. (And good bases are always important)

The first leftmost drawing is undoubtedly Reki Kyan/REKI, with the drawing inverted, although I guess it was a design decision to integrate it more with the mural, unless you want to symbolize something deeper in verse to Reki. Although we must also take into account that at the top is written the word happiness in white with red background. Going more to speculation we could think that in the future it could be possible that his friend who left the skateboard aside some time ago could come back, the inverted drawing with the word happiness on top could be associated to an opposite change in his usual dynamics.

The S of SK∞ clearly represents Hiromi Higa/Shadow, although it doesn't show the color that officially represents him (purple). On the outside highlighting the S is the color of his hair, orange, and inside it has a dark turquoise green color (like the color that represents Kojiro/JOE in the third I of Infinity on the winged skateboard we'll talk about later), with drawings of what look like white daisy flowers, which in the language of flowers symbolize innocence.*

The K of SK∞ undoubtedly represents Kaoru Sakurayashiki/Cherry blossom, around and inside the pink/purple color representing Carla and inside in black, with the motifs depicted on the Cherry skateboard and cherry blossom (Sakura) petals.

The ∞ of SK∞ undoubtedly represents Ainosuke Shindo/ADAM, on the outside a dark blue (or purple? considering it's the color that is on the second I of Infinity on the skateboard and represents Hiromi/Shadow) the inside black with its heart symbol in red. Ainosuke on the outside, ADAM on the inside. It's interesting that it's the infinity, as it is the symbol that is repeated three times in the whole image, the infinity of SK∞ representing him, the infinity between Reki and Langa (red and blue) and in the text of the skateboard with wings (Infinity) that all together represent him, showing again that he's part of the central axis of story, as all the characters wouldnt have been able to meet and come together having a connection the same way they did in S, without him, who also created it.

Then we have the white snake coming out of skateboard with wings and that is over the S and the K and that seems to be heading towards the word "beef" with white letters surrounded by green color. Obviously representing Tadashi/Snake, could we have more beefs from him in season 2 (maybe with Cherry and Shadow?), or will he just remain oblivious like at the end of season 1? Going by the image, it looks like that won't be the case, but who knows.

At the top is shown an infinity that probably represents Reki and Langa, who are also on each side of the color (Reki's foot is on the red/left side of the infinity and Langa's foot is on the blue/right side of the infinity). Although the red part eats part of the blue part, and they aren't completely balanced, which I find curious.

Then we have over the ∞, a cat that of course represents Miya Chinen/MIYA, being purple and green, Miya's favorite character in role-playing videogame he usually plays in the first season. And who also seems playful, either playing with "Langa's shoe" or trying to interact with the infinity on the mural (which is surely the most likely). It also seems that he's no longer afraid of ADAM as he poses on the infinity without any problem. On the back is written the word "fun" in white surrounded by yellow.

Coming out a little from the ∞ is shown a half sun that clearly represents Kojiro Nanjo/Joe, yellow in color but with little stripes that make you think of a tiger, and the first kanji of his name translates as tiger (虎, tora). It's covered by the infinity representing ADAM and above it has on one side the word "fun" and on the other the word "S" with white letters surrounded by blue.

Biting the infinity, we have a white yeti that undoubtedly represents Langa Hasegawa/Snow, with the colors white, blue, black and purple feet. Surely Langa biting ADAM could be an allegory that he's over him. Although it's funny/curious that right next to it is written the word fan with white letters surrounded by pink.

Finally we have a black skateboard with wings that represents the slogan of the series, that skateboarding is infinite, since the wings symbolize freedom, and to support that they have written the word "infinity" representing the eight main characters, and the wheels with purple and blue colors. I= Reki Yellow N= Langa's blue F= Light green of MIYA I= Shadow/Hiromi's purple (although it also resembles a dark blue, as it is identical to the color surrounding the infinity representing ADAM) N= Pink of Cherry/Kaoru I= Green/ of JOE/Kojiro (which also has a similar shade to the dark turquoise green found in the S representing Shadow) T= Red of ADAM Y= White of Snake/Tadashi, it's curious that this time they haven't used gray, which is the color that symbolizes Tadashi in much of the merchandise and official content (although maybe only in the first season, who knows, it's also true that everyone has an assigned color but that doesn't mean that these colors are immovable and can be interchangeable between some characters or that they cann't change over the years or that they're false symbols AKA the red that symbolizes ADAM but when it's Ainosuke symbolizes more the color blue).

And finally the words: Happy in red (ADAM), beef in green (Joe), fun in yellow (Reki), S in blue (Langa) and fan in pink (Cherry). Being happy and fan in lower case, all the others in upper case.

I'll leave it here for the moment, I love the color symbolisms, but this time I've run out of time. I may edit it or reblog it with added notes if today there is new news regarding the second season or the OVA (although I see it as more likely to hear about the OVA before the second season) and see if they have any connection to this image. It takes a couple minutes to get him to calm down

he starts trying to check out how bad it is but you wince pretty bad when he accidentally brushes the worst of it on your arm

He IMMEDIATELY starts apologizing and calls for cherry to “work his weird techno magic crap” and make you feel better

Luckily he does keep some bandages with him but he makes reki apologize for insulting carla

Hates the sight of blood

After a while you have to take his hands so he stops fussing with everything and reassure him that you’re really ok

He just hugs you and takes a deep breath—he knows sometimes his anxiety gets the better of him and smaller things seem like bigger deals than they are

He’s always home later than you

‘Perks’ of running your own restaurant

So when he comes home to see you sitting in one of his shirts with some. Not very well done bandages around your arms he’s a little concerned

Doesn’t freak out just wants to fix you up

Adjusts your bandages as best he can and listens to what happened

Makes everything better by pressing little kisses near (but not on, so it doesn’t hurt) your injuries

Does little things to cheer you up

Offers to make dinner if you're really that sore but tbh you’d much rather just wash up and get delivery (believe it or not, so would he. After a long day of cooking all night he could use time off his feet)

So that’s how you spend your evening, curled up on the couch with him

Helps you clean your cuts and things when you get a shower later

Tbh this is a sidenote but i dont see showering with him as a thing yknow like hes a child at heart i think you usually end up in water fights and it makes you laugh but anyway

Overall just really chill, wants to make sure youre okay but every skater wipes out from time to time you just have to brush it off and try again

You probably met in the zoo or at the entrance to it. Why Adam was at the zop is still unknown but he was there. He was probably watching over Emily as she looked at everything

She saw you and introduced you to Adam as a new soul trying to get him to meet some other people

He probably didn't remember your name at first...

He was also really rude when you were polite calling you a pushover and leaning on you trying to make you feel small

This didn't work on you no matter how many times he called himself the 'original dick'

After a while of dealing with him you both probably walked around and began talking with each other. He was probably kinda brash and rude the entire time but you never took it from him and he fell in love

When you get into one of your rambles he might end up zoning out but then he'll zone back in and most likely say the most out of pocket shit you've ever heard before

You being straightforward with him is amazing as you're not afraid to correct with some stuff which is great because you humble him every now and then

When you use big words he doesn't understand he'll pause for a moment and call you a nerd

"I don't know what those long ass words exist anyways like just fucking explain it bitch,"

When he's kinda mean to you he doesn't really mean it and thinks of it being funny. Although if you get uncomfortable he'll try and stop... keyword being try

You being curious and a rule breaker is something that he loves and will in fact encourage especially if it 'sticks it to the man'. He'll always stand up for you if you get someone mad and will be curious with you and sometimes do dumb shit in the process

He'll also probably try and pull some pranks with you every now and then on Sera or Peter. but maybe not Emily as you would both get your asses beat, plus she's really nice and you both like her so there's that

He'll also love to gossip with you. Actually he'll probably take you to the exorcists and you'll all just gossip together. That's how you met Lute and to be honest she was probably a lot and he tried keeping you away from her

You bring water bottles and medical kits for the exorcists when he brings you to watch them train

You quickly became a favorite of theirs as you care more for them than Adam in some aspects. Sometimes you'll even force him to help you carry stuff to them

Adam is the last person to give a shit about your anger issues. He'll actually encourage you to take them out on someone probably giving you a dummy and telling you to hit it and beat the shit out of it

As for being verbally aggressive he also just doesn't care and will probably join in with you

He doesn't mind you being overprotective but if it gets out of hand he will end up running/flying away from you but then getting you something to make up for it

You preen his wings for him every now and then and he loves it and will run up to you just to get you to do so

"Preen now!!!"

You also helped him out with the whole Eve and Lilith thing helping him get over it

This likely took some time for him to open up to you about it thinking that you might just run off or run away from him still thinking about his exes even if it wasn't in a romantic way more of an 'how did i fuck up that bad' way

But you helped him out and even though it was hard for him to open up (this took like a whole week of talking probably and opening up) he did so and ended up crying on your shoulder afterwards

"Ah shit, sorry about this" *sniffle*

He was likely very embarrassed after the talk and never wanted to bring it up again

He did NOT want you finding out about the exterminations. He knew that you would likely oppose them just from a few conversations with you and he didn't want to lose you

So you can imagine what did happen when you found out about them. Let alone it was he who suggested them

"Listen- man please just listen to me"

This resulted in a long argument between you two that carved a gap in your relationship but he kept begging you to forgive him saying that it was what was best for heaven and that they didn't have another choice

He even brought up Sera saying how important she was and that he never would've done the exterminations if she didn't approve of him going down there

This is where he might've lied saying that he took no pleasure in killing demons in order to keep you happy

He felt really guilty afterwards and bought you all of your favorite things. Rudbulls, pretzels, strawberries, cherry pepsi and chocolate. He even had the exorcists help him out with gifts and figuring out what he should get

"I'm really, really sorry,"

Moving onto the less angsty things with you being observant you probably get him quite a few things too like food, treats, and maybe an album or two from his favorite artists in heaven

He watches anime with you all the time (mostly for the... designs lets be honest) and will probably shout whenever there's some sort of plot twist saying that he 'saw it coming' when he probably didn't lets be honest here

"Oh FUCK yes!! I totally saw that! Did you see that? I saw it"

He also doesn't care at all with you being slightly greedy for money because quite honestly he's the same in some areas but that being said he will bug you for money if he ever runs out... or just doesn't want to spend his

You might have to get used to his music taste and him playing his guitar constantly as he does it every day at the worse times most likely. He tries not to but its almost like a skill at this point

You have to yell at him to stop if it really drives you crazy and he will in exchange for some kisses and cuddles

Speaking of cuddles he'll try and cuddle you daily. If you have down time? Cuddles. Work? Cuddles. Hard day? Cuddles. He'll find any reason to snuggle up with you

That also being said he likes to fold his wings around you in public just because he likes the gesture and he probably wants others to know that you're taken. (Someone hit on you once and he is NOT risking that again)

He notices that you melt when he holds your hand so he'll do it all the time grabbing it for no apparent reason and sometimes even kissing it just to see you get flustered or soften up

"You're so adorable y'know that right?"

One of the reasons he likes it is because he feels somewhat in control or that he's doing something right in his relationship which honestly says a lot since eve and lilith

He loves how hardworking you are and how you help out with the exorcists from time to time making sure that they don't get hurt and such

He'll tell you that you don't need to but you'll do it anyways to help them out

I'd also like to imagine that there are some exorcists like vaggie who have trauma from the exterminations themselves and you would talk to them and help them through it as the year goes on

Adam doesn't see the point in it but he won't question it saying that you can do whatever you want

Since you're 5'8 and shorter than him by quite a pick he'll pick you up bridal style and carry you around sometimes

Or when hugging you he'll squeeze you and pick you up and probably spin you around

I'd like to imagine that he also has some attachment issues so when you come back he's almost like a sick puppy waiting for you to come home

He'll wait for you for hours on end just at the door all grumpy until you come on over and give him a hug

He'll also sometimes end training early if he wants to see you

You might get at him for this but he won't listen and will just turn on your favorite anime all the way up with a smug little grin on his face

When he didn't come back from his extermination Lute was the one who told you he was gone before storming off and calling the demons filth and names

You were devastated and wanted to make a grave in heaven for him but Sera declined for the longest time before finally agreeing saying that only those with special access could see it though since the people of heaven might suspect something

His grave ended up being put in a secluded area in a place that you could only visit a few times a week since Sera said that she didn't want anyone getting suspicious of where you were going

Mostly because as the souls in heaven are kind they still are flawed to some extent and might follow you around

You still help the exorcists every now and then but not as much since Lute's in charge now and she hardly lets you through saying that you can't be in there

Overall your relationship has its ups and downs but in the end you two are a very loving couple <3

Aw, thanks friend! Funny enough, I was thinking about making a personal post last night, so this works out perfectly!

I'm in the mood to talk about some of my WIPs and maybe give some sneak peeks at them. Perhaps, if you like what I have, I'll continue them. Some I'm on the fence about.

Here are some of my WIPs! I'm also including ideas I haven't written yet but want to write eventually. Let me know if any of these ideas strike a cord with you! I may get around to writing them! Rest is under a cut. This is long.

My weird JJK/SK8 the Infinity crossover: This one came about years ago after the onsen episode when Reki was terrified of ghosts. The cast reacted skeptically but as someone who believes in ghosts my first thought was "What if he can actually see them?" This then devolved into adding JJK into the mix as I was heavily watching/reading the series at the time.

The angle of this fic is,"Reki's family are barrier and protective ward experts that aren't fighters. Reki takes a very non-traditional approach to creating wards. He tries to keep that part of his life separate as he's not a full-blown sorcerer. That's not going to happen."

Here is a little bit of it.

Rainy Day: A fic focusing on Lilia meeting and raising Silver. I have absolutely no idea where my end point is, but I've had this idea in my brain for months. A reason why it's on hold is because Book 7 is happening right now on the Japanese server and my fic will 100% accidentally contradict some canon.

Here is a snippet.

"The bright object quickly revealed itself as a white bundle of cloth as Lilia edged closer. Sighing internally, Lilia removed his hand from his sword. No doubt someone’s laundry had flown off the drying line the moment the storm started. A shame, but returning lost fabric wasn’t Lilia’s job.

Then, the fabric moved and Lilia nearly jumped out of his skin. A second later the cloth blew in the direction of the wind, revealing an infant human face and tuffs of hair so light it was almost as if moonlight had been spun and placed in their head."

Another Post SDR2 healing fic: Exactly what it says on the tin. I've been meaning to write another long "everyone is healing from despair" fic for SDR2 for years. Sadly, I've been stuck on the first bit for a while because I feel overwhelmed. I think the key to this one is to write in scenes rather than in a cohesive story.

Here is a bit of the story so far.

"The computer room, or as Souda loved calling it, the Pod People Room, was the coldest place on Jabberwock Island. A truly miraculous feat, if Hajime’s opinion was asked, given the stagnant temperatures of the island that never dropped and instead rose in intensity. Like any place located by the ocean, Jabberwock Island also boasted a healthy dose of humidity that hovered over them like a thick woollen blanket in a sauna. However, in the confined dark space of the computer room the heat remained outside, barricaded by a set of heavy metal doors. Along with the multiple computer screens, various keyboards, and creaky chairs (that Souda swore he’d fix) made it easy for someone to accidentally shift his body position to a hunch for several hours at a time."

Love at first stab attempt: A while ago I wrote a "Hajime and Nagito are both serial killers AU fic". I didn't address how they met. This fic was supposed to do that. However, I got busy and I haven't touched this fic in a while.

Here is a snippet.

"Instead, his brain firmly reminded him of the hours spent sitting cross legged on his plush blue rug in the living room, examining and arranging an array of chronologically arranged Polaroids. How many hours had Nagito sunk into reviewing and planning? How many nights had Nagito spent painfully awake staking out various locations? Sadly, Nagito could answer and it drove him to press onward in the summer heat.

The things he did for justice and self-satisfaction. The woes and turmoil of being a serial killer. Though, that label made Nagito’s brain itch. Not that he could find a better descriptor for himself. He’d tried but ultimately failed."

Honourable Mentions AKA I might expand on these ideas if I feel like it and people are interested.

Spirit Medium Hajime ft. Something is Rotten in the state of Jabberwock Island: Another story snippet I posted to AO3. I kept thinking how interesting it would be if Hajime was a legit shaman that could see spirits and eased them to the afterlife. However, because SDR2 is in the Neo World Program there are no ghosts, thus this tips Hajime off that something is wrong on the island.

The Awakening Trio and Anankos with a Siren Voice that calls to them because they drank his blood: Again, another snippet I posted to AO3. I've always wanted to write another Anankos/Trio fic, and I'm in love with the Trio being called out by Anankos. Very dramatic.

Shouichi drinks from a bottle to suppress his memories. Byakuran doesn't care so long as Shouichi is with him: Once more, here is the snippet of this idea I posted to AO3. I'm always here for "Shouichi with poor coping mechanisms because Byakuran."

Ideas I haven't written anything for yet but I will eventually

-Detective AU where the Trio or Leo/Odin/Niles can see spirits and that's why they can solve all crimes. They just ask the spirits lingering around the scene. @someobscurereference wrote this idea as my birthday gift, but there are so many fun angles to explore!

-Vil/Rook and the list of classmates they both want to high key kiss/sleep with together. It's essentially my excuse to write one of my favourite angles to their relationship "They're madly in love with one another but are secure enough to add a third party member to the mix once in a while".

-10051: A darker Shouichi who decides to use Byakuran's possessiveness to kill off "bad people" in the world. It's of course, a slippery slope to maintain and thus makes Shouichi very, very morally grey. Though, on the flip side, I think it's funny that Shouichi 100% has the power to pout and largely get what he wants from Byakuran.

-Bungou Stray Dogs: ADA Chuuya and Dazai. Yeah, it's a classic but I want to write another BSD fic and I love Soukoku.

-Something for the Bar AU. If you haven't read any of @m34gs Bar AU, I highly recommend it! It's essentially our massive crossover idea that boils down to "There is a dimension crossing bar and people from various fandoms meet one another there. They have no idea what's up with their respective fandoms. Usually." While so far it's mostly been written by M34GS, I've contributed so many ideas over the years that it's our series.

-Post series Buddy Daddies and them raising Miri: Is this a new fandom I'm seeing?? Maybe? I'm still very on the fence about this idea so no promises.

I didn’t know it was the anniversary, I just started rewatching it too 😂

a.) I’d say Reki is definitely my fav. Going into Sk8 I was just expecting this cute lil skating anime, and obviously that’s not all I got. Maybe it’s just because I’m an artist, but I relate to Reki so much it hurts. Working hard and trying to be really good at this things you’re Extremely passionate about, and seeing other people who haven’t worked as hard or as long as you be better? It’s… heartbreaking, and difficult to work through. He’s such a well written character.

b.) This is really specific, but the scenes of Reki and Langa doing any sort of hand gesture? Together. The first High Five after Langa does an Ollie, and the first time they do the Infinity Sign Together are the main two I’m thinking about!

c.) I love them, not all anime’s have such a good cast of characters that work so nicely together. It’s awesome that Sk8 has so many popular ships!

As Tadashi obeyed, placing them behind his back, Ainosuke looped the rope over his wrists, tugging on it sharply before knotting it in place and stepping back to look over his work. The other man knelt before him, ankles lashed to thighs, before the rope crawled up his back and over his chest. A loop of it around his neck was secured in front, forcing him to keep his head bowed. The hemp was already beginning to chafe the pale skin: Ainosuke had tied it tighter than usual so that Tadashi would have entirely no freedom of movement. It wouldn’t take long for it to grow uncomfortable, but he was counting on that.

Satisfied with his work, he stepped away to grab the next items he’d laid out. Returning to Tadashi, he laid one of them down where the man could see it: a dildo as thick as a clenched fist, and far longer than any he’d made the other man take before. The startled, anxious look in those wide green eyes gratified him a little, easing the anger that simmered in the pit of his stomach. Of course, Tadashi knew that it existed—he’d been the one to purchase it, after all—but Ainosuke had only ever used it as a threat. Until tonight.

But Tadashi didn’t try to voice any words of protest as Ainosuke tied a clean rag around his mouth, knotting it on the back of his head, and that made the beast inside Ainosuke snarl. If he had said anything, made even the smallest whispered plea, Ainosuke might have relented a little. Yet those eyes continued to stare at him, the emotion he’d pried out of them settling back into their usual placid resignation. Before he could give in to the temptation to tear them out, Ainosuke settled another piece of cloth over them, knotting it in place, too. And then he picked up the toy before walking around behind Tadashi, tugging off his glove to drizzle some lube over his fingers.

As always, Tadashi’s body yielded easily to him, his insides hot and clenching around his fingers. Ainosuke wanted to sink himself into it, rutting into the other man until they shared a burst of star-spangled euphoria. But that wouldn’t do tonight. Tonight was a lesson, just like all the ones Ainosuke’s own father and aunts had given him. A lesson in obedience, reinforced through pain. Because he loved him.

Because he loved him, and he hated him. He didn’t understand. Why was it that the only times Tadashi spoke up was to oppose him? They’d been friends once, sharing stories and snacks, whispering secrets in the shadow of the rose bushes. He’d taught Ainosuke how to skate, had shown him that there was life beyond the endless lessons and strict self-discipline, had given him the only breath of freedom in his life. Ainosuke hadn’t forgotten that. He never could. And yet, Tadashi had also tried to take it away: not just once, but now twice.

The memory of those steadfast eyes staring at him in defiance, seeing him only to cause him pain, made Ainosuke’s fist clench, and he grabbed the dildo, covering it with more lube before pressing the tip against Tadashi’s hole.

It slipped, sliding up Tadashi’s ass, and Ainosuke hissed in frustration, using his fingers to try to spread him open to ease it in. He didn’t bother trying to order the other man to relax: he couldn’t feel even a hint of resistance, not until his fingers had already stretched him wide… but still not wide enough for the toy.

He didn’t understand why Tadashi was simply accepting this, either. When it was just sex, he usually got off too, but Ainosuke had made it clear that tonight was about punishment. He didn’t intend to let Tadashi feel good: he wanted to hurt him, to see him cry, to beg for forgiveness. He was going to take everything he knew about the other man and push him past his limits. He was going to break him, so he’d never stand up to Ainosuke again… because if the only time he spoke up was to push him away, it would be better for him to simply become a dog, slavishly loyal and never opposing his master.

So Ainosuke pushed, twisting the dildo and trying to get it in, watching the lube bunch up against the edge of Tadashi’s hole before dripping down to the ground. But finally, it caught, and Ainosuke watched as the ring stretched around it, turning thin and white. There was something erotic about watching Tadashi take something so big, hearing the small whimpers that caught in his throat… Ainosuke’s own breathing stopped as he slowly screwed it inside. Nobody else would do this to him—nobody else could do this to him—and the sight was for Ainosuke’s eyes alone. Honestly, he’d doubted that it would fit, but inch by inch, Tadashi’s body accepted it, trembling with the awful strain of doing so, until the base was seated snugly against his skin.

Ainosuke could hear his quiet pants into the gag under the hum of the toy as his body was forced to the edge again… and again… and again… until his cock hung limply under him while the dildo continued to torment him without pause.

As his body began to twitch independently of the vibrations, searching for relief from the ropes, the small sounds came with increasing frequency, each one settling into Ainosuke and easing some of the pain he felt deep inside. His own breath seemed to come a little easier as Tadashi struggled, and Ainosuke lit up another cigarette to simply enjoy the warm smoke that filled his lungs.

When he’d almost finished the cigarette, he stood up, stepping over to Tadashi to extinguish the flame on his shoulder, twisting the butt against the pale skin until he’d left a bright pink flower dusted with ash.

"A dog cannot disobey his master," Ainosuke told him coolly, even as his heart began to thump anxiously in his chest. While he’d been waiting, he’d thought carefully about what he would say to Tadashi, how he could make him give up. "If you understand that… if you'll take back your words… then I'll be magnanimous and forgive you, this time. You're still useful, after all, and it would be a waste to lose a man of your talents, whatever your other faults."

His eyes were fixed on Tadashi, taking in every inch of the man, every spasm of his muscles… and Tadashi shook his head. Ainosuke’s heart sank, even as his frustration flared. Why? Why, why, why? Why wouldn’t he give up and just listen? Why did the man who always had no opinions need to have an opinion now, on this? Why did he have to take away the only good thing in Ainosuke’s life, why did he have to make Ainosuke hurt him like this?

But all he said was, “I see,” before he knelt down to press a finger against the still-vibrating toy. Even though Tadashi groaned, this wasn’t enough. He still hadn’t broken him. What more did he need to do, to make him see reason?

Ainosuke toyed with the dildo, pulling it in and out a little and watching Tadashi flinch and squirm: his sweat had soaked into the ropes, letting them slide a little over his skin and giving him the slightest room to move. His mind shied away from what he could do next: he wanted to break Tadashi’s spirit, but to break his body...

But how was it any different from his beefs? He hadn’t intended to break the redhead’s arm, but it wasn’t like he could control how he fell. Tadashi had been stretched completely, stuffed fuller than he ever had before, and still, he took it. He always took everything that Ainosuke gave him.

Ainosuke couldn’t help himself. He began to fuck Tadashi in earnest, thrusting his hips while he set up a rhythm with the dildo, the sensations rising to his own head. He’d been hard ever since he’d first forced it into Tadashi, but he’d had vague thoughts of having Tadashi suck him off when he lay exhausted in his bonds, quiet and defeated. A moment of gentleness at the end, to show that he forgave him, that everything would be alright. But nothing had gone right tonight, not from the moment he'd seen Tadashi on the track, sneaking into the tournament behind his back.

So he fucked him, each thrust pulling another muffled cry from Tadashi's throat, the sound equally infuriating and arousing. As he began to reach his peak, he shoved himself in deep, feeling Tadashi's rim stretch around him, and he started to come into the tight warmth with a snarl.

Then, he collapsed against him, spent but still hurt. Still angry. He could feel Tadashi's whole body trembling under him, but he still refused to give up. Before he realized it, his fingers were wrapped around Tadashi's neck, squeezing while Tadashi just accepted it. If Tadashi was just going to leave him behind like everyone else, then Ainosuke would just kill him first.

But he didn't want Tadashi to die.

His grip loosened, but he was aware that Tadashi had fallen limp under him, held up only by his bindings.

"Tadashi?" Ainosuke ventured, pulling out of him. The dildo dropped to the ground with a soft thud, and Ainosuke's heart thumped as he tugged off the blindfold and the gag, staring into closed eyes. Tadashi didn't seem to be breathing, and Ainosuke quickly untied the rest of him, grimacing as his fingers slipped in urine before he lay Tadashi flat on the ground, resting his ear on Tadashi's chest.

He really didn't seem to be breathing, and his heart was quiet, too. Ainosuke's hands scrabbled at his neck and wrist, trying to double-check as his blood pounded in his ears… but he couldn't feel a pulse either.

No, no, no, no, no. He hadn't meant… he didn't want…

He pressed his lips over Tadashi's, trying to push air into his lungs before starting chest compressions, counting them off in his head before giving Tadashi another breath. He felt something crack under his fingers, but he continued to alternate between the positions until Tadashi coughed, and then he finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Tadashi was still unconscious, but Ainosuke could see his chest rising and falling shallowly. He was filthy, lying in a mixture of come and piss… and as Ainosuke watched, a trickle of blood dripped from his ass to his floor. Not enough to be of immediate concern, so Ainosuke stood and headed to the faucet in the corner of the warehouse, filling a bucket with water and returning to slosh it over Tadashi. A second bucket rinsed away the rest of the mess, and then Ainosuke sat down on the edge of the shipping container again, his shaking hands lighting another cigarette to steady his nerves.

Then, he waited.

Too much time had passed before Tadashi gasped and began to cough in earnest. Ainosuke had to fight the urge to turn around, to rush to him and make sure that he was okay. He simply listened to the small sounds of Tadashi moving around behind him, undoubtedly in pain, but alive.

If he was willing to risk his life to make Ainosuke stop, then Ainosuke ought to at least respect his determination. His life against Ainosuke’s freedom… well, they were satisfactory conditions for a beef.
