Birthday/Late August and September Goods

Last month my brother treated me to P.F. Chang's for lunch and got my friend and her hubby to join us. While we wanted thirty minutes to be seated at our table we went to Barns and Nobles. I was hoping to find the Trinity Blood DVDs in the movie section but my search turn up fruitless. I still enjoyed checking out the manga section and they had the cutest Plague Nurse plushie! But it was probably $30 or $50, and I wanted to purchase Trinity Blood since Funimation had stopped showing it on their site for a while now.

My friend who came with me gifted me a gift card which I used to purchase Ori and the Blind Forrest and Chrono Cross: the Radical Dreamers Edition.

We were supposed to have another party member but she had work. Phooey! Her gift to me also wasn't ready, but I still would've loved to have my psychotic fairy join us for the ride. Hopefully, we can get her to come with us another time. I'm excited just thinking about it.

The goods I bought for this month are mostly vampire classics of the anime community, and I have no regrets in purchasing them especially since I now love Abel Nightroad. This precious cinnabun of a man who deserves to be happy, and I want a man like him. I now plan on getting the books and it pains me to know the author died during the production of the anime. How I wish Suano were still here.

When I ordered the Vampire Hunter D DVDs I also ordered the DVD for Spirited Away since the case I bought at the Goodwill store only came with the bonus disc. Now the case is complete with the movie I plan to watch with Bloodlust. Double feature!

I got to see Vampire Hunter D for the first time (I still need to read the omnibus book I bought last month) and it's interesting to see how the animation was in the 1980s. I remember seeing its sequel, Bloodlust, on Youtube because I was curious about what kind of woman Charlotte was, and I was not disappointed. This beautiful woman is still one of my favorite characters to this day.

While I was at Walmart I treated myself to a mud mask, the third volume of my favorite series, Sailor Moon, and Animal Crossing New Horizons since my friend wants to hang out with me in the game.

And my final present to myself: getting my cavities fixed. 🤣 I need my teeth! 🦷

Also, I have noticed some striking similarities between Abel Nightroad and Meier Link. Both are good-hearted vampires who are not afraid of getting their hands dirty, they had a virtuous sweetheart who was too good for their world and tragically died, and they are both tall men with red eyes and white hair that sticks up (Abel fits this more in his Crusnik form.) Is this just me?

I want these two on a double date with their sweethearts. Is that too much to ask? Well, that's what fanart's for.
