I don’t think I’ve ever explained the relationship (platonic) between Jervis Tetch and Marian Drews in my au here.

Marian Drews was from the White Knight comics as Neo Joker for context and I’ve added them to my au although they never became Neo Joker.

Marian in my au goes by they/she pronouns and is the White Rabbit in the Wonderland Gang. Since there isn’t a lot of content with the White Rabbit and she’s often added in as a cameo in the comics I think this is ok.

Previously she worked for Joker although they were never close and was always jealous of how close Harley was to Joker. Reminder Harley and Joker in my au aren’t romantically involved. Marian had always been infatuated with the Joker but they never let that jealousy get the better in them. In fact, they quit working for Joker simply for the fact that it hurt too much that they would never be as close to him as Harley was. She has always been a very lonely person and basically attached herself to the first person to show them an ounce of kindness.

After quitting they tried to live their life as normally as possible before meeting Jervis one evening. They grew close quite fast and soon she agreed to join his gang. They are very sweet and very important to me he treats her like his grand daughter (despite the fact that he isn’t actually really old he just acts old) and fusses over them whenever they get themself into trouble. I loved their friendship in the White Knight comics and I needed to incorporate that in my au I will draw them someday soon

Damn a lot of people (including me a day ago) turn a blind eye to the White Knight series as “just a sane Joker” story, but having binged it in a day I can safely say I’M HOOKED.

Not to mention the absolute masterful redesigns and appearances of Bat’s rogues (even if they don’t really do too much on their own in the story). From big names like Mad Hatter (who surprisingly plays a big part in the story as a whole), Scarecrow (who ALWAYS has banger designs every time we see him), Riddler, Killer Croc & Ivy to much lesser known ones like Baby Doll & Roxy Rocket (my reaction to seeing her included anywhere is an exaggerated regency swoon) to even fully new creations like the Producer & Starlet, who I would kill to see more of.

Please give White Knight a chance, the designs of characters, the dynamics of the main cast & the story you will undoubtedly fall in love with. But the little moments in the story are the ones that really tug at your hearstrings... and hey if nothing that i pointed out resonates with you, at least the art is spectacular.
