Anyways, I love Nesta’s and Emerie’s friendship.

Nesta tags along to Windhaven exclusively to go see Emerie, like Nesta will not fight it or groan, she’s like “Yess, I’m going. Wait! I have to pick up some snacks that I wanted Emerie to try.”

Emerie and Nesta laugh at stupid things. They have the most not understandable sense of humor to the point where they will be laughing and not saying virtually anything because they’ll be gasping for air and pointing to each other and nodding their head like they’re having a whole ass conversation. Other people think they’re insane. 

Nesta learns to be no-nonsense from Emerie. I know Nesta knows how to be a bitch okay, I say lovingly, but Emerie knows how to be a business bitch, and Nesta frequently goes with Emerie to markets or tradesman for material and she will see them try to lowball her or just haggling in general, and Emerie is like hell no this is worth that much, in this cloth? I know you aren’t trying to sell me a wolf when I see a goat. Like she goes off and is very stern. She is so knowledgeable about her product and how everything affects trade. Nesta learns by watching her. She finds it so fascinating and it does come in handy for her. 

Just because, I really like the thought of Nesta and Emerie hanging out in Velaris on the off chance that Nesta wants to explore. I... kind of want them to get drunk together (Nesta’s problems in acosf were stupidly written and I ignore). I LOVE thinking of them getting drunk together. The giggly girls who are almost too affectionate--will not stop hugging. Cassian finds them on the stairs just sitting looking at the stars because no way were they going to make it, and they just keep making shapes out of them and laughing at the ridiculousness. 

On regular weeks though they will try new restaurants together and cafe’s. They’re total foodies!!!! I cannot stress this enough. They are always trying new foods and sharing with each other. 

Another headcanon, Emerie teaches Nesta Illyrian dishes and she’ll help make them with her. It’s about the spice, Emerie says. Don’t be afraid of it. Get lost in that sauce. Lol Emerie takes her lessons very seriously, and Nesta will bring home so many dishes and Cassian’s like.... is this for me? And she’s like No lol, this is mine. I didn’t just cook for four hours so I could feed your ass. I’m feeding myself. Cue Cassian trying to steal bites... (I got lost in nessian again--whoops). 

Back on track, Emerie and Nesta are the goofy pair. Gwyn and Nesta are the troublemaker pair. But Nesta and Emerie are the ones who will dress up for some holiday and walk around. It is infinitely easier to be stupid when you have someone to be stupid with. That is Nesta’s and Emerie’s relationship in a nutshell.

See this post for more details! But in a nutshell: Mor/Vivianne’s sister, Elain/Graysen/Azriel/Lucien, Lucien and Vassa (the Swan Lake set up was gold!), Nessian! (and what Nesta is and how it related to Cassian and his fears and strengths)… I think we’ll def get a Miryam and Drakon novella. We need to see the magic artifact that brought Miryam back to life (that’s going to come back I think), and the other novella could be the war, or Mr. and Mrs. Archeron/the fae warrior who bound the Weaver and Koschei…it could go do many ways!
