There shall be angstyness. and it's not really that big of a deal but I love it and I came up with it while sitting in a restaurant spacing out. I haven't had anyone to rant about it to so you guys get this and it's vague bc i said so bc I'm gonna write a little story for it :)

Hey stinkie- which one of your skeles ocs would adore/love my sona? If they arent afraid ofc.
-🍄/yknow who i am =)
Oh, Oh I KNOW where you might be going with this one Shroomie :3 (You'll be bringing a lot of stressful work to my Ink and Error nejrgnj /lh)
You want the Universal Dad Guys(tm) for family shit? Sparky and Bori, they love unconditionally and so does their daughter, Gaia. You want a good spar partner and active friend? Pyry, Sparky's Swap counterpart, Lyor (Bori's brother) or Betsalel (my 7DS Sans) will do good for that. I think the easiest to set off would be Orfeo (Fell!Sparky) so maaaybe not him (especially cause the Black Charge abilities... hmm. sucking out life energy wouldn't end well).
Cosmo is half-aware despite his Hypersomnia. He can fight in his sleep and is rather competent at it (And it'd be a little boring to fight a sleeping enemy anyway, wouldn't it?).
I think you got an obvious answer there but XD yeah

Just a small theory about the Sonic Frontiers 2023 DLC
I was thinking back on the story of Sonic Frontiers, which I love so much btw, but contemplating some of the moments in the game I realised something. Each of the characters talk about what it felt like to be in Cyberspace, and their experiences are kinda glossed over which is kinda funny but at the same time - what if these experiences are going to be touched on more in-depth in the new story DLC? First, let's look at how each character described their Cyberspace experience: Amy: "Before you freed me, I couldn't see or hear anything clearly. It was like looking into a kaleidoscope that was always shifting. I couldn't tell if I was coming, going, or moving at all. I'd have gone crazy if you hadn't gotten me out!" Knuckles: "Miserable. Like a living nightmare. It was the most alone I've ever felt, and at the same time, I was drowning in terrible visions and emotions. Like I said, nightmare."
Tails: "I mean... when I was lost in Cyberspace, I was confronted by another version of myself. He said I was just a follower. That I couldn't think or act on my own. I wanted to argue, but I couldn't bring myself to say anything back. I worry he's right and I haven't changed at all." Now I'm not sure how this would translate to gameplay exactly and I don't think we'll be playing through these experiences exactly - but if these events aren't somehow mentioned or delved into in the cutscenes of the new story - I'll be damned. While Amy's is vague, Tails and Knuckles' experiences show some potential for some truly great character exploration if they were to touch on it in the new story. I don't know man, something to think about.
Also hi! This is my first Tumblr post, I ramble about Sonic a lot pfft.

Idk what the possibilities are but i'm currently fixated on the thought of cale becoming a god to save his people. I saw someone mention that in the covers he gets lonelier with less and less people being with him. Very high chances it's just a coincidence but i'd like to think it's not. Also just the thought of him finally having a new found family that he would sacrifice so much just for them to be safe kills me, so i'd like it to be true @pandorachristian was the one who posted the thing about the covers :)

Kai gets hurt on a mission.  He's prepared to feel suffocated by the caretaking of the other ninja, and to an extent he does, but despite how strange and wrong it feels to be on the receiving end of the care, a part of him blooms at their attention in a way that surprises and scares him.

Dear @weirdowithaquill , after our previous discussion it gave me a lot of food for thought! So, I owe this one to you :)
For those who are wondering, this is part of the same AU I set up previously, just considerably later on than the events of my first post. Enjoy!
It was a hot, stuffy night in July, when the air was heavy with humidity that floated about the place like a film of thick, sticky spider webs that hung everywhere and ensnared whoever they touched. It had made everyone feel very hot and bothered, making it a hard day of work for the little engines on the Skarloey Railway.
Duke woke from a fitful sleep that night; one of many that were plagued with visions of familiar faces: Stuart, Falcon, His Grace, and even Stanley, all of whom stared right into his core with expressions of sympathy or concern, or burning hatred, depending on who appeared before him. Their faces and voices would then swirl and blur into a bizarre cacophony of sights and sounds that only grew louder and brighter until Duke awoke with a gasp, finding himself in front of an open shed door, Peter Sam and Sir Handel sitting closely on either side of him, sound asleep. Duke sighed.
These heavy summer nights often did that to him. The atmosphere felt too much like his old, buried shed on the Mid-Sodor.
He firmly reminded himself that he was NOT back in his old shed and attempted to go back to sleep, when he was interrupted by a strange noise. A soft humming, followed by incoherent muttering. It was coming from a short distance away, down the stretch of track he was on.
Duke squinted into the darkness, trying to locate the source of the noise. The new moon was enshrouded by black clouds, so it was nearly impossible for Duke to see beyond his own buffers, let alone into the yard.
Duke realised his fire was still warm, the embers from earlier still flickering. Carefully, as not to wake Peter Sam and Sir Handel, he gave himself a jolt that knocked some coal across his footplate and into the firebox. Steam began to build as his fire started to burn back to life. Time passed, and Duke felt steam rushing into his cylinders. He gently eased open his regulator and crept out.
As he rolled along, the muttering grew louder, clearer. It was barely intelligible, coming out in a whisper at a feverishly rapid pace, but Duke found that he was starting to make out a single phrase, repeated again and again:
"It's all in my head, get out of my head. It's all in my head, get out of my head."
It was like a twisted version of the coaches singing as they swayed happily behind their engine in the day. It made Duke feel very uneasy.
When it sounded like whoever-it-was was right in front of him, Duke forced his regulator shut and stopped to listen. The voice, though still whispering huskily, sounded somewhat mellow and unbroken, not quite a child's voice, but not an adult's, either. How they hadn't noticed Duke puffing up to them, he didn't know, but at that moment the lamp on his bufferbeam flickered to life, and the whispering abruptly stopped.
Duke found himself face-to-face with a young girl, crouched on the tracks in front of him. Her eyes, one green, the other black, were wide as dinner plates, and were staring at him.

Hanahaki
“Excuse me, sir?”
Mulmangcho turned. Behind him was a nurse, who was shifting nervously side to side. Clipboard in her hands. “Yeah? What is it?”
“Are you Mulmangcho?” She waited for his nod. Her ear flicked nervously as she continued to explain. “W-we have someone in the infirmary. A refugee from Flower Hill. And…he’s asking for you.”
Mulmangcho blinked. A refugee…? “I don’t know anyone from Flower Hill,” he said. Unless you count Special Aide, but I haven’t seen him since-
“Be that as it may,” the nurse said softly. “He’s asking for you. And, well…I think it’d be best if you talk to him. The poor child is so scared…”
Child? Now Mulmangcho was more confused than ever. He didn’t really know any children. Much less one from the enemy side. Nonetheless, the look in the nurse’s eyes made him sigh and nod. If it would stop her from looking at him like that…
“Good. This way.”
Mulmangcho followed her.
The infirmary was about as clean as it it ever got in the cave that was their base. The walls and ceiling were still made of rock, of course, but the floors were smooth linoleum tile. Rows upon rows of hospital cots, filled with soldiers lying on them and cursing their lot in life. (Sick, if they were lucky, injured if not.) It didn’t take long to locate the one patient who was smaller than the rest of them. A little brown squirrel, Mulmangcho realized, face still overflowing with tears.
“That one?” He waited for the nurse to nod. “Okay.” He walked over to the patients bedside, pulling up a chair. The squirrel looked over.
“A-are you Mulmangcho?” He barely had time to nod before the boy had grabbed him by his uniform. “You gotta help! P-please! They’re just gonna let him die! You have to help him escape! You have to!”
“Woah, kid? Calm down.” Mulmangcho pulled the boy’s hands off. “I’m going to ask a few questions, and then I’ll see if I can help you. Okay?” He waited for a nod. “Okay. First question. Who the f-“ Don’t use the f-word in front of the school boy, Cho… “-ffffreak are you?”
Another sniffle. “M-my name is Bamsaegi,” the boy said.
“Bamsaegi. Okay.” He set the boy’s - Bamsaegi’s - arms by his side. “And how did you know about me?”
Bamsaegi wiped away a few stray tears. “My hyeong told me all about you,” he admitted. “He said you’re really, really smart.”
“Your hyeong?”
Bamsaegi nodded. “His name is Geumsaegi, but…you probably know him as the Special Aide.”
Special Aide…? Mulmangcho was starting to piece things together. Bamsaegi had said something about an escape, the Special Aide had been missing for a few months now, and his little brother was here…so, Flower Hill had him? “I see. Is he the one that needs help?” Another nod. “Hm…I was under the impression he was a loyal scout. Why would they-”
“He was loyal!” Bamsaegi scowled. “It’s stupid! They’re stupid! They locked my hyeong up for stupid, stupid reasons!”
“I’m sure it was stupid.” This is Flower Hill we’re talking about… “But may I ask what those reasons are?”
Bamsaegi flushed. He pulled his knees to his chest and mumbled something.
“Kid? I can’t-”
“He has hanahaki!”
Mulmangcho blinked. “Hanahaki…? But…who…?”
“I don’t know who for! A-all I know is that it’s an enemy scout and they locked him and me up b-because they thought it made him a traitor!” He looked at Mulmangcho. “He’s not a traitor! He’s not he’s not he’s not!”
“Shhh, hey, I believe you,” Mulmangcho assured him, patting his head. “Don’t worry, I believe you.”
Bamsaegi sniffled. “I-it’s really bad,” Bamsaegi said. “H-he was coughing blood when I left. A-and he got me out but he couldn’t get out…and…and they’re just gonna let him die! Please! You’re smart! Hyeong told me you’re the smartest person he knows! You can help him! You can save him! Please, I need you to save him!”
Mulmangcho was not pushing down fear. Not brushing aside concern. Because he wasn’t worried. Not about him. No. “Kid-”
Bamsaegi stared up at him with large watery eyes.
“I…I’m a soldier here. I have things to do, and if things are that bad…I can’t promise that I’ll save him.”
Bamsaegi sniffled.
“But I will try,” Mulmangcho assured him. “I’ll try my best to get him out. I promise.”
Bamsaegi gave a thin, watery smile. “Thank you.”
“No problem, kid. Get some rest.” Now, question was, how the hell was he going to keep that promise…?
