okay, guys:
Sakura having sensor skills is bs? Yes. Sort of. Yes in the sense of that novel.
Is being a sensor a Kekkei Genkai? No.
A sensor is a type of shinobi that is more sensitive to chakra signatures than regular shinobi, but every ninja has it as a basic skill as every one of them can perceive chakra (which is why many can sense danger approaching, more so if the attacker has immense reserves) and train such skill. The main difference between Sensors and non-sensors is the extent to which they can extend their sensitivity to chakra signatures (naturally, they are more alert to energies) and the fact that they can mould chakra and turn it to "sensory mode" to precisely detect foreign signatures, recognize the chakra of an individual, get information of the clan (if they previously know the family) and the nature of such individuals (if they are aggressive or not, their mood, and so on).
Yamakana, all of them, are sensors (they do seem to hone that skill to be able to sense further) and they use this exact "sensory mode" to use the Kanchi Denden (sensing transmission). Ino seems to be the best sensor in Konoha alive in Boruto.
Karin (and Mito?) have the Mind's Eye of the Kagura, which is a supreme form of sensing only present in some Uzumaki members, they can sense all chakra signatures within many kilometers as well as discern how many signatures there are, what type of being it belongs to and whether a specific individual is present. Sasuke chose Karin as his teammate for this exact reason, she's the best sensor alive in Boruto.
Tobirama and Minato seem to be very powerful sensors. Naruto, Hashirama, and likely Kabuto can sense chakra when in Sage Mode.
Hyüga, Inuzuka, and Aburame are not "sensors" in the strict term of the word, as they do not sense chakra signatures, Hyüga can see chakra, Inuzuka can smell individuals (not chakra as far as I'm aware of), and Aburame have their Kikaichus to perceive others.
The Sharingan can see chakra in far more detail than the Byakugan.

If one feels the need of something grand, something infinite, something that makes one feel aware of God, one need not go far to find it. I think that I see something deeper, more infinite, more eternal than the ocean in the expression of the eyes of a little baby when it wakes in the morning and coos or laughs because it sees the sun shining on its cradle.

The MBTI of (N) vs (S) in song writing
Maybe some of us already know what an MBTI is, although its pseudoscience for the psychology world, I use it anyway to help me identify people and how I interact with them.
But there is something bothering me about MBTI, most people don't really pay attention to the Sensing (S) vs Intuition (N) part, let alone know the difference. This has piqued my interest for quite sometime cuz I myself don't really understand too. So I researched a bit about it and to put it simply (other than the image):
Sensing (S) : does things based on what they sense (see, feel, hear, smell, etc.)
Intuition (N) : does things based on what they imagine
After I understood this, I then practiced identifying it to song writers and man does it all make sense now.
What type of songwriter I like
It really amazes me how songs really show the personality of the writer. After learning their lyrics, their song writing process, and figuring out what they are like, it made me learn something about myself too.
Interestingly, most of my favourite singers have the MBTI (S) whereas I am a (N), logically speaking, I should be relating more to songs that are written with the same MBTI but no. This is because I find it really intriguing of how different they express their selves apart from how I express things, like its mind-blowing and never came to my mind.
Sensing (S) songwriters are so straight forward and simple with everything, but its usually things so common and so relatable that it never came to mind, at least for me. I also feel like these songwriters are writing a story, cuz of how each line is described giving a clear image to me, like how a novel is.
But as you can see, the songs that I have reviewed in previous posts are actually the intuitive (N) type, its conceptual, imaginative, and needs interpreting to know what the songwriters want to convey. Surprisingly though, Taylor Swift and NIKI are actually a (S) type, but their songs that I reviewed are the very few that uses intuition (though only in concept, not lyrically.)
From this, I think that I still find it more relatable in a deeper level to songs that use intuition. I also find it fun being able to process songs to understand it because that's what I'm familiar and comfortable with. So its not a surprise that my frequent listening songs are mainly from a (N) type of songwriters.
Favourite lines of (N) vs (S)
I want to share some of the songs that I used to identify whether the songwriter is a sensing (S) or intuitive (N) type, mostly are from my favourite songs (haven't been reviewed here yet.)
Said you'd always be my white blood, circulate the right love — White Blood - Oh Wonder (Josephine - ENFP)
This actually is quite clear that its an intuitive lyric. If I were to interpret it, somebody being a white blood means that they could heal the other person and give them a healthy relationship.
Though we have not hit the ground, Doesn't mean we're not still falling — Nothing Lasts Forever - Maroon 5 (Adam Levine - ENFP)
Another intuitive lyric that I like, it describes a specific situation of a fall-out relationship where they are still trying but no matter what it doesn't work and is on verge of a break up.
The sky and sea help each other Creating the cloud so rain can fall When the world helps each other See which love wouldn't fall — Sorai - Nadin Amizah (INFP)
In the beginning of the song, she opens with a metaphor of how certain phenomenon can help make another phenomenon, then she conveys what she wants to say, that a relationship isn't just the work of two people, but fate plays a big role of it.
I ran to run away from you I hid in a place where was no light — Shadow - Seventeen (Woozi- INTJ)
This song is kinda hard to understand just by these lines, but to make it simple, its about wanting to run away from ourselves, specifically our bad sides, but running away from it means to make us fall into more misery and doesn't help us to grow.
But lately her face seems slowly sinking, wasting crumbling like pastries — A Team - Ed Sheeran (ISTJ)
There are no hidden meanings to these lyrics, it really is a clear image of what he wants to convey to us. That this girl has something on her mind and it shows on her expression which is described by Ed.
The burgundy on my T-shirt when you splashed your wine into me And how the blood rushed into my cheeks, so scarlet, it was (maroon) — Maroon - Taylor Swift (ESFJ)
This is quite clear, she uses the sense of sight, specifically the colour maroon, to describe a scene where she was flustered with her love.
When you walk away I count the steps that you take Do you see how much I need you right now? — When You're Gone - Avril Lavigne (ISFP)
She describes a scene where she counts the other person steps, saying that its plain proof that she cares about the other person and doesn't want them to go.
I know you're not far, but I still can't handle all the distance You're traveling with my heart I hope this is a temporary feeling — My Everything - Ariana Grande (ESFJ)
She makes it really clear on the situation where she can't be far from the other person. Although she uses the metaphor "Traveling with my heart" she made it clear that its to describe a feeling in the next line.
Recap
So there you have some clear examples of different songwriters having different MBTIs.
Being a (N) or (S) really differs on how we process the world around us and I find it mesmerizing that I could see that play into part through songwriters.

Remote sensing has transformed the monitoring of life on Earth by revealing spatial and temporal dimensions of biological diversity through structural, compositional and functional measurements of ecosystems. Yet, many aspects of Earth’s biodiversity are not directly quantified by reflected or emitted photons. Inclusive integration of remote sensing with field-based ecology and evolution is needed to fully understand and preserve Earth’s biodiversity. In this Perspective, we argue that multiple data types are necessary for almost all draft targets set by the Convention on Biological Diversity.

Sensing your own energy
Book : mya om
For this exercise you will need:
Five to ten minutes
Soap and water
A towel
In this exercise, you will learn how to access your own
personal energy at the palm chakras.
you know how to do it correctly before you move on.
I would recommend practicing it several times.
First, cleanse your hands with soap and water, paying close attention to the palms. You'll want to take a couple minutes to do so, then dry your hands on the towel. You can do this in the bathroom or kitchen sink.
Once your hands are cleansed and dried, find a comfortable place where you won't be disturbed and take a few moments to get centered. Now bring the palms of your hands together, and rub them against each other or clap your hands until you start to feel the chakras open. This can be a feeling of warmth, tingling, or coldness in the center of your palms.
When you feel that your chakras are open, hold your hands about an inch apart. You should feel a mild "magnetized" sensation between your hands, like they want to come together. Got it? Good.
Each of us has a dominant hand; this is the hand where we give energy. For most of us, this is the one we write with. We also have a passive hand; this is where we receive energy. With your dominant hand, fold your fingers
so they are resting against the fleshy part of your hand, but aren't touching your palm. Stick your thumb out. You should look almost like you're trying to hitch a ride, but don't make a fist; you don't want to block your chakra.
so they are resting against the fleshy part of your hand, but aren't touching your palm. Stick your thumb out. You should look almost like you're trying to hitch a ride, but don't make a fist; you don't want to block your chakra.
Now hold your non-dominant hand palm up. Move your dominant hand so your thumb is parallel to your open palm, about an inch or so above it. Your thumb should touch your palm at all. Starting at the edge of your wrist, move your dominant hand in a sweeping motion toward the tips of the fingers on your non-dominant hand. What do you feel?
Ideally, you should be able to sense a variation in the energy coming from your non-dominant hand. There should be more sensation when your thumb goes over your open palm chakra than when it goes over your wrist or fingers. If you didn't feel a difference, try it again, but this time, move your dominant hand down your wrist to your elbow, then back to the palm. Be aware of the various sensations you experience; as I said, some people perceive energy as a tingle, others as heat. Also, the sensations may be veryslight to start with. This is why you need to practice the exercise until you are familiar with the way you, personally, sense energy.
Working with the chakras is very powerful. It allows us to increase the energy directed into our spells, which in turn increases the effectiveness of the spell itself. The chakras are natural "doorways" for energy to enter and exit our bodies. The latent energy that exists within us and around us is amplified at the chakras, and they serve as the best place to store raised energy and to direct energy from.

Hi Charity! :)
It would be great if you could answer my question. Unfortunately, English is not my native language, so sorry for mistakes in advance.
It's a widely discussed question, but, unfortunately, I still don't really understand what is the correct answer and what is the logical explanation for it. In MBTI community, there is a belief that intuitives are deep, thoughtful, curious, imaginative and good at abstract and symbolic thinking and theoretical discussions, while sensors are boring, punctilious, narrow-minded cavemen-like beings who just run around, touch, smell and lick stuff and can't understand anything which isn't directly connected with physical reality (and aren't even interested in it).
Typically, the prejudice comes from ignorance about the types and over-glamorizing intuitives while refusing to look at their faults (along with being imaginative and creative, they are often delusional about what is possible, disconnected from physical reality, and struggle to perform basic sensory tasks, lol). Sensors are actually far more engaged with the physical world and therefore get further in life because they know either how to leap on an opportunity (high Se) or work through the system to transform it (high Si).
Intuitives don't always ground their theories; and senors don't always want to discuss abstract theoreticals endlessly without there being a way to make it relevant to the real world.
For instance, I read an article about Nietzsche's MBTI type, and the main argument for Ni was his usage of subjective symbols and archetypes. But... That's just incorrect. Ni is a way of perceiving information, it has nothing to do with personal "abstract" vision of the world.
Subjective symbols and archetypes is indeed Ni, yes. INJs do indeed form a "personal abstract vision" of the world or their desired end. That is how Ni functions. Other types do not understand this, because it's' so far removed from their own way of perceiving reality.
Do you mind telling me what do you think about it? If this point of view is false, why is it so widespread among people who are interested in MBTI? If it is true, how is the way we perceive information connected with the way we think? I mean, getting data and doing something with that data afterwards are two completely different processes, what is the connection between them?
Perception means absorbing information -- what you do with data relates to your judging functions (Te/Fe or Ti/Fe).
Personally, I seem to be an ISTJ (By the way, your answer for my previous question helped me to understand it, thank you for that!). At least I'm hundred percent sure that I'm a sensor, because I have been studying cognitive functions for quite a long time, and I don't relate to dominant or auxiliary Ni or Ne at all. However, I have no problems with that "abstract" stuff at all, for example, I just enjoy thinking and arguing about common laws which determine occurrences of our life, holistic vision of the world and humanity, hidden meanings of novels or other objects of art, meaning of life, philosophical theories invented by famous people or by myself or my friends, future outcomes of something, unrealistic scenarios, etc. Also, I'm not sure that I pay much attention to sensory details. Moreover, l've noticed that I often can't answer automatically and need some time to think when asked about sensory impressions (for instance, when I need to explain what something or someone looks/looked like, describe the taste or the texture of food or my way to some destination). I'm 19 years old, so I don't think that my inferior function is well-developed (futhermore, Ne is about perceiving, not about thinking).
My mother is an ISTJ 1w9 and would agree with most of what you said above, except she gets super impatient for extremely theoretical concepts and wastes none of her time on them (for example, she complains that C.S. Lewis couldn't just say what he means and make things easy to understand). ISTJs are the most grounded and realistic of all 16 types, so they have the least tolerance for "mumbo-jumbo." Doesn't mean they can't be intelligent or insightful.
I also don't think that all the intuitives have their head in the clouds and can't be interested in anything "sensory".
Intuitives do enjoy sensory things, yes, but our preferred focus is in the realm of ideas, possibilities, and speculating on the future.
According to PDB, there are plenty of intuitive sportsmen, architects, fashion designers.
PDB is one of the most inaccurate typing websites on the internet, because it allows everyone to vote, so 99% of sensors wind up typed NFJ 4w5 there. There's an extreme intuitive bias over there. :/
All in all, I believe that one's interests and things one likes to pay attention to are not defined by perceiving functions, as well as level of imagination or ability to reflect on "abstract" things. But is there any correlation in fact?
I would say your way of perceiving reality does in fact influence what you care about and pay attention to in a broad sense. Being an ENFP doesn't foster my love of costume dramas (unless it's the romanticism of low Si wanting a rose-colored view of a past I have never lived) but it does make me actively seek out and over-indulge in books based around theoretical systems like MBTI or the Enneagram or the 12 archetypes of the human soul.

the funniest meltdown ive ever had was in college when i got so overstimulated that i could Not speak, including over text. one of my friends was trying to talk me through it but i was solely using emojis because they were easier than trying to come up with words so he started using primarily emojis as well just to make things feel balanced. this was not the Most effective strategy... until. he tried to ask me "you okay?" but the way he chose to do that was by sending "👉🏼👌🏼❓" and i was so shocked by suddenly being asked if i was dtf that i was like WHAT???? WHAT DID YOU JUST SAY TO ME?????????? and thus was verbal again
#yeehaw#1k#5k#10k#posts that got cursed. blasted. im making these tag updates after... 19 hours?#also i have been told it should say speech loss bc nonverbal specifically refers to the permanent state. did not know that!#unfortunately i fear it is so far past containment that even if i edited it now it would do very little. but noted for future reference#edit 2: nvm enough ppl have come to rb it from me directly that i changed the wording a bit. hopefully this makes sense#also. in case anyone is curious. though i doubt anyone who is commenting these things will check the original tags#1) my friend did not do this on purpose in any way. it was not intended to distract me or to hit on me. im a lesbian hes a gay man. cmon now#he felt very bad about it afterwards. i thought it was hilarious but it was very embarrassed and apologetic#2) “why didn't he use 🫵🏼?” didn't exist yet. “why didn't he use 🆗?” dunno! we'd been using a lot of hand emojis. 👌🏼 is an ok sign#like it makes sense. it was just a silly mixup. also No i did not invent 👉🏼👌🏼 as a gesture meaning sex. do you live under a rock#3) nonspeaking episodes are a recurring thing in my life and have been since i was born. this is not a quirky one-time thing#it is a pervasive issue that is very frustrating to both myself and the people i am trying to communicate with. in which trying to speak is#extremely distressing and causes very genuine anguish. this post is not me making light of it it's just a funny thing that happened once#it's no different than if i post about a funny thing that happened in conjunction w a physical disability. it's just me talking abt my life#i don't mind character tags tho. those can be entertaining. i don't know what any of you are talking about#Except the ppl who have said this is pego/ryu or wang/xian. those people i understand and respect#if you use it as a writing prompt that's fine but send it to me. i want to see it#aaaand i think that's it. everyday im tempted to turn off rbs on it. it hasn't even been a week
