He hates it.

The snark of Eren Yeager matched only by himself, the holler of his cackle makes Jean Kirstein’s spine stiffen.

What’s worse than his cackle? Only one thing.

“HEYO ~Jean-boy~!” The high pitched whine of Eren’s voice bellows from down the hall. There could not be a worse nickname, coming from a worse person. If he didn’t know better, Jean would say even the bricks lining the walls of Mitras’ capital building shuddered in embarrassment for him. Floch’s (fucking fuck that guy, Jean thinks) stupid laugh follows quickly behind, his wheezing sounding more donkey than human.

He can’t stop the lava-hot anger boiling to the surface, shoulders rising and fists clenching at his sides. Now they’re both laughing, and he wants to deck them both in their stupid, snide faces. Jean turns, eyes narrowed to a slit, “Where’s your bodyguard, Yeager? I don’t see your usual evil brooding shadow.” Smirking, he knows he hit Eren right where it hurts, in his puny runt-sized heart. Fuck it, if he wants to play hardball and mock my mother, I’ll play, he thinks.

Eren short circuits and Floch’s jaw falls open. Before Eren becomes his usual flash of rage induced, uncoordinated, off-balance flurry of flailing limbs, Jean stalks off not quite fast enough to miss the tail end of a devastating loss.

Mikasa grabs him by the collar before he can wind himself up, “Why do you always do this shit?”

Jean smirks to himself. “Oh, hey Mikasa. Didn’t see you there!” He calls.

He’s rounding the corner when Yeager grounds out a retort that’s followed by an “Oof,” where Mikasa yanks his collar a little too hard.

Yeager still tries his patience, incessantly. Jean blows him off nowadays, his temper no longer simmering just below the surface. When his pest’s favorite insult doesn’t even make his skin prickle, he knows he’s fucked.

There’s a new factor at play, and Jean’s too preoccupied to care much about Eren being a little prick. All because of you.

It’s not his fault, he thinks. You’re so sweet. If they bottled and sold you as a drink, no one would get enough. It’s in the way you smile, eyes twinkling. How you immediately flush when paid too much attention, or address a group. Your soft voice and desire for the quiet. Jean knows you’re not a pushover, you’ll knock someone on their ass. The difference is in how - with few words spoken and gracefully, swiftly, without hesitation.

So when Jean spends the night in your quarters, warm and wonderfully devoid of the regular scout racket, his mind is far, far away from fucking Yeager and Floch. And, when you beckon him closer in the lamplight, finger under his chin and a glint in your eye; when you whisper “Come here, Jean-boy,” before bringing your mouths together… well, he’s never loved the sound of his own name more. Yeager can eat a bag of dicks, he thinks, right as your lips part and let his tongue explore the softness of you.

With one hand on your waist, the other in your hair, and you on his lap, hands around his neck, he knows for certain that he is absolutely and unequivocally fucked.

Bonus: Eren tries it again and the unintended effect is that Jean gets a raging boner.

Lat month was all about Teen Wolf.

Based on the votes from last month we are looking at Attack on Titan this month. We’ve got some Explicit ratings in here.

This is a series and might be my absolute favorite SnK fic. It is marked as not complete but do not let that stop you. The two fics that aren’t complete stop at places that feel like satisfying ends to the story. Warning: Hanji is gendered as she/her in the fic rather than they/them. The fics that feature Hanji were written in 2014 and I don’t know how prevalent it was at the time to acknowledge Hanji as a non-binary.

What is colour theory in film?

Color in film is about more than aesthetics. The use of colour can evoke a mood or set the tone for a film. There are three main components of colour, they include hue, saturation and brightness.how does films elicit strong emotions? It’s obviously The use of colour to create an emotion or set the mood . There are set schemes to colour theory and film and each has different purposes . A movie maker will start by picking an overall colour palette based on the emotion or Aura they make. Color helps tell a story, define a character or create a reaction by the audience.

Apart from this I would like to say that colour theory and use of colour theory makes a big impact in films in both iconic snd symbolic ways

For an example when making characters we can immediately identify a certain character just by the colour of their clothing

And even certain scenes like the the use of colors in the Spiderman atvp movie , stranger things upside down scenes , and the euphoria movie always being able to identify the scene just because of the use of colours .

RED

USE OF COLOR RED IN FILMS

“In film, red is the colour of love, passion, excitement, desire, violence, blood, danger, anger, fire, war, revenge, heat, and rage. Red captures a viewer’s attention and is one of the most visible colours. This is why red is used on fire trucks and stop signs. “-

Red is often used in the most tragic scenes in films for an example when its the scene where the main character faces a traumatic event , or when the movie reveals the dark plot behind the movie or even when its the villains entrance red is often used to show the terror , rage, tragedy and the aura of the villain in the story.

These are some movie scenes with a powerful red impact that have stayed with me.

Jujutsu Kaisen second season opening

The alliance between cursed spirits and curse users forged by Mahito and Pseudo-Geto finally makes their move to seal Satoru Gojo in order to start the war between the curse users and the jujutsu sorcerers . So, its the first step of this story, where all the tragedy unfolds, sets the tone for the entire season. The use of red colors throughout the opening serves as a visual representation of the impending misery that awaits the main characters. It symbolizes the countless funerals that will occur, depicting the bloodshed of the innocent

In this sequence we can clearly see that the main villain Sukuna is portrayed in red whilst smiling meaning the red effect is actually the aura of the villain which resulted in using of red in the opening . And then the next photo shows tragic emotions

How the movie portrayed the man villain just by using red ?

This is a great example of how the color red affects the viewer, clearly conveying that the antagonist portrayed here is exceptionally evil, with an aura terrifying enough to intimidate people.

The fact that its not even well detailed yet detailed enuf to show that he's purely evil.

Obsession seen with the use of red revenge

We all know the queen of hearts from Alice in wonderland is the main protagonist in the movie who's obsessed with her self and is on a verge of seeking revenge . her whole personality, outfits , and the aura is shown in red color as a way of showing her obsession and passion

Next, I will analyze the use of red to in the 'Shingeki no Kyojin' anime, particularly how it's employed in a plot twist within the movie.

The scene where the main character Eren Yeager revealed that he got the founding titan and starts the rumbling which resulted in destruction to 80% of the humanity .

When gabi a protoganist shot eren yeager on his head a huge transformation occurred which caused a yellow lightning strike up to the sky and his founding titan transforms into a whole big disaster , and the whole atmospheres color changed from yellow to red to show the terror of the humanity and the upcoming deaths will be happening when eren starts the rumbling

This shows the change the of the atmosphere

When erens founding titan was on screen it was always portrayed in red as a way of symblozing the blood of the people who died because of him .

Lastly , in this scene where Eren reveals Armin all the sins he did and how he easily killed 80% of the humanity is shown here using the color red which is obviously the blood of the people who died due to the Rumbling . This scene indeed gave us chills as we get to see the disaster Eren did .

How red is used for emphasis purposes in film making?

In attack on Titan there was a scene where the people starts running towards an edge of a cliff as they had no where to go since the attacking titans were coming towards along with the founding titan. in that specific scene a baby was shown in the clip where the people even in the verge of death they still proceeds to protect the baby

Just like the parallel we see as the girl in red during war,

Schindler’s List featured a similar scene. In both terms of looks and what it signified, the scene involved a girl in the midst of her black and white surroundings. The girl is standing out in a red coat. In both these scenes there are unimaginable horrors taking place. On one side it is the holocaust while on the other it is The Rumbling. People are dying in both these cases and the terrible setup has these two children standing out. Their red attire becomes not just a means to grab the audience’s attention but also of significant thematic concern.

Red which is also known as the color of lust and love . in romcoms it is really common to see the use of red as that it the main point of the movie , but how do film makers show a romantic feeling or a mutual feeling of romance with two characters indirectly?

In this scene, we observe Eren wrapping a red scarf around Mikasa's neck. The choice of a red scarf may symbolize the author's intention to depict this act as Eren's initial gesture of romantic interest or a demonstration of love towards Mikasa.

If we take red color used for props in film I would like to add the balloon used in the IT film.

The appearance of the red balloon often foreshadows the imminent appearance of Pennywise or the occurrence of a terrifying event. and the balloon being usually used as a decoration or a toy for kids , the director made it look horrific for the kids which is totally the oppposite of a balloons purpose , and it was used as a prop for the entrance of the protagonist " pennywise"

so we all know the most famous anime of all time " Naruto" , in that anime we can see the use of red in different ways

the most dominant color of the villains were red as the villain group " Akatsuki" itself wore red color robes

The villain group struck fear into all ninja villages, a fear emphasized by their choice of attire: red outfits. This color scheme effectively conveys dread, with black representing darkness, enemy forces, and negativity, while red symbolizes the fatal color of blood.

The Uchiha clan, often regarded as an evil clan, possesses a unique red-colored eye called the Sharingan, which holds a significant history. Misuse of the Sharingan has led to conflicts among ninja clans, sparking wars in the past. The eye is incredibly powerful, leading those who possess it to desire its power, often resulting in conflicts between nations.The Sharingan is also known as the 'curse of the Uchiha clan.' Once consumed by hatred, individuals with the Sharingan act selfishly, driven by a desire for revenge. Traumatic events often trigger the awakening of the Sharingan, fueling a cycle of vengeance

And red being used in the color of the eyes is a great way of showing how the hatred is stored inside the heart and how the person has consumed all the hatred and seeing everything as a way of outputting their revenge .

Overall, I think red dominates in films when it comes to depicting themes like revenge, hatred, trauma, a villain's aura, tragedy, passion, and obsession.

It can represent new beginnings and growth. It also signifies renewal and abundance. Alternatively, green can also represent envy or jealousy, and a lack of experience

From my personal knowledge I would say that green is used mostly to an entrance of a villain or some new beginning .

if we talk about new beginnings , I would like to elaborate on how animated movies make the villains aura green

As mentioned , being said that its associated with corruptions and danger

First, I'd like to discuss how the color green is utilized in portraying the entrance of a protagonist through the incorporation of a green hue.

During the introduction of Toji Fushiguro in Jujutsu Kaisen, we can see how the directors has added a green background behind him to show that its a new beginning which leads to a new introduction of a villain.

The green hue in the background serves as a visual cue to the viewers, indicating the introduction of an evil character. The dullness of the background further accentuates the ominous presence and malevolence associated with the character.

Also, the same thing is shown in the some Disney movies
