Hi. I've been reading threw a number of your posts related to Loki 2021 and the general impression your post give is that you don't like how Loki 2021 has been written and present (which I understand because while Loki is not a favourite character of mine, I want to see his character done justices). And I guess I was just wondering how you would have tackled Loki 2021, using the plot elements that have been established in the show, but with your own spin. Thank you :)

That's a great question! I think the premise actually had a ton of potential. @nikkoliferous and I often talk about all the really cool things that could've been done and why it's so particularly tragic that they wasted all that good story setup. I think there are 3 main types of directions the story could've gone in with this premise (and then a lot of variations within each type).

Direction 1 - A buddy comedy with a heart

So I think this is what they were trying to go for with Loki and Mobius's dynamic based on the narrative framing and how all the interviews have presented Mobius in a positive light. (Though that's not what they actually wrote at all).

The way to do this would be to set Mobius up in a more sympathetic way and put him and Loki on more even footing. They could've had Mobius be almost as much a prisoner as Loki. They could have started out with him being pretty indoctrinated into the TVA worldview, but also being considered expendable. We could've seen his superiors threaten him with deletion if he can't make things work with the Loki Variant. Maybe he even feels some compassion for Loki and convinces his superiors that Loki can be useful and shouldn't be deleted since he's powerless to do anything else and he figures being enslaved is probably better than dying. Loki could actually be in-character and question Mobius's world view etc. And Mobius could to the best of his ability treat him decently instead of smugly mocking and tormenting him.

We could have Loki escape early on and end up bringing Mobius along with him, either by accident or because he realizes Mobius will be killed for losing him and he feels bad about it. Then we have them thrown together by circumstances and they could slowly grow to trust each other over the course of the show. The series could dig into the parallels between them. Loki could point out to Mobius that he repeats the propaganda he's been taught but he's hardly less of a prisoner than Loki and his masters are hypocritical. This could also lead to Loki realizing that while maybe he wanted to tell himself that he was an ally of Thanos's the truth was anything but.

While they're on the run both could start to realize they're experiencing freedom from the first time. Mobius could learn to question the TVA and Loki could realize that maybe he can be himself and doesn't have to be a tool of Odin or Thanos. Loki could could grapple with how much control he had while attacking NYC (thus allowing Disney to leave that a bit open to interpretation without totally sweeping the torture and mind control under the rug) and Mobius could grapple with how complicit he has been in the TVA's horrific actions.

Rather than Loki "learning to be trustworthy" (smh) Loki could learn to trust someone else and that not everyone will betray him. Mobius could also be a stand-in for more casual viewers and slowly realize that Loki isn't just the uncomplicated villain he at first took him for. There could be a nice mix of substantive character drama and entertaining hijinks. And of course in the end they could burn the TVA to the ground and liberate all realities. There's so many variations on this and @nikkoliferous and I often chat about them. Because the show could've been so good! And yet. </3

Direction 2 - The TVA & Mobius are acknowledged as the great villains they are

This is kind of what they're making by accident without acknowledging it which leads to a lot of emotional dissonance in the narrative. In canon the TVA is a horrific organization and Mobius seems happily complicit. He doesn't seem to have any compunctions about supporting their agenda of using murder, genocide, forced labor, enslavement, torture, police brutality, sham trials without due process, and privacy violation to eliminate free will. He happily forced Loki to toil under threat of death, mocks and humiliates him, manipulates him, and participates in acts of torture. He is INCREDIBLY creepy and a great embodiment of the "banality of evil" concept. The TVA is also absolutely terrifying.

If the show actually leaned into that it would create a great sense of narrative tension. Loki has escaped Thanos only to once again fall into the hands of a horrifically evil and powerful enemy. And it's up to him to figure out a way out of this situation and a way to liberate all of reality from their grip. In this scenario it might be useful to introduce some other prisoner characters so that he has some friendlyish faces to interact with...and potentially an army to lead against the TVA after he's won them over and figured out a plan.

Mobius's parallels to Odin and Thanos would work really well here because having Loki eventually defeat him and tell him he doesn't get to tell Loki who he is or make him into a tool of evil would be hugely cathartic. We'd get to see Loki stand up to and defeat someone who parallels the two individuals who have most hurt and manipulated him and decide to make his own way from now on rather than trying to be what others make of him. It would be awesome.

Direction 3 - TVA are twist villains

Some people think this might be the direction the show is going. The problem is that if that's true it'll just fall flat because the TVA is already clearly villainous so there's no twist. In the first episode already we see them commit acts of murder, genocide (wiping out a whole timeline because they believe the beings in that timeline belong to a class - variants - that are unworthy of life), police brutality, trial without due process, privacy violation, torture, and illegitimate imposition of rule (they are not elected in any sense and yet they have appointed themselves the arbiters of reality) all in the service of eliminating free will. That is...not what heroes do.

However they COULD have been good twist villains with just a few tweaks. Maybe they approach Loki and play on his deep yearning to be viewed as good and worthy as well as his self-hatred and poor self image to convince him that an "evil" version of him is wreaking havoc and they need his help. Maybe they also sweeten the deal by offering him protection from Thanos and the Black Order since he has no idea they are dead in this timeline. (If you wanted to keep audiences more in the dark you could have them just talk about the Black Order so that audiences at first assume they are still hunting Loki even tho Thanos is dead and don't realize the TVA is manipulating Loki).

At first they don't do anything overtly evil. The authoritarian aesthetic would seem like a humorous parody of office culture. It would then take on a new, much more sinister meaning when the TVA get's revealed as evil later and we learn that they obliterate entire timelines, murder people for the slightest infractions, don't view variants as people, and want to eliminate free will. Mobius could either appear first as a friend and then get revealed as a villain or have a redemption arc where he ends up siding with Loki.

Also for all of these scenarios the script and characterization should be good. I should see Loki, not Larry his dumb lookalike cousin. The script should have Loki doing and saying things that are in-character. (Which certainly doesn't preclude humor since Loki's wit is one of his most iconic features!)

SUGAWARA KOUSHI made you swoon the first you met him and no one could blame you - ‘hii i don’t think we’ve met, i’m suga :)’ cue hand shake and soft hand squeeze and pretty eyes staring right into you melting your insides.. he’s just naturally sweet towards everyone and you learn this eventually. loves giving head pats and asking about your day and telling you to ‘take care text me when you get home!’ you‘re always telling him whoever he’d end up with would be the luckiest person on earth and you’d never forgive them if they hurt him. the type of guy best friend who spams your profile pic with comments - ‘wHO IS SHE’, ‘ohhh she glowin!’ - and acts all surprised as if you hadn’t just asked him to choose that photo for you. has a sixth sense for you that’s always so on-point he could tell when you’re faking a smile and would drag you out of the room discreetly saying ‘c’mon lets talk’

DAICHI SAWAMURA acts as the parent/legal guardian throughout your friendship, always reminding you to drink your water and to drop instant noodles from your diet. he has your birthday penciled into his planner and phone calendar, remembers your hyper-specific coffee order from starbucks, and knows all your pet peeves - from slow walkers to being told to ‘chill’ because it invalidates your feelings. the best friend you can trust to do your yearbook write up for you because he knows all your best qualities and remembers all your achievements by heart. doesn’t seem to be aware of his own popularity - his mental age surpasses that of people his age - and couldn’t be bothered with anything concerning romance so you’re always trying to pimp him out set him up with friends and friends of friends who are dying to date him

ASAHI AZUMANE’s always seen as the understated friend in the group just quietly soaking up everyone’s stories in the background but actually has a comedic streak only you and few others know about. it’s easy to miss because he’s too shy to say his jokes out loud so he mumbles them to himself, and they’re so insanely corny - delivered with a straight face - it had you tearing up from laughter the first time you caught him. you love that his brand of funny is free from any kind of attention seeking and feel lucky to be one of the few to witness this side of him. his sense of humor shines best when innocently poking fun at his close friends like doing accurate re-enactments of suga smizing at his reflection or daichi holding his screen 10 inches from his face, or when you’re expressively telling a story and he goes “do that face again” so you do it and he’s like “one more” and idiot you does it again before realizing bitch is trolling you ugh

NISHINOYA YUU is your wild card friend - you never know when he’d show up to things, but when he does, everyone knows. the friend you wished upon a shooting star the way Lilo did and ended up getting a gremlin smh. he’s the spark plug for spontaneous action in your life - would randomly text blast everyone on a weekend to hangout and watch that rooster fight in his neighborhood or go feral at the batting cage downtown, and you’re like wtf...game. deep conversations aren’t really his thing but you’re always so down for anything, to ride along with all the shit he enjoys and listen to his ramblings and it’s that rawness he loves about your friendship. the best friend that has a tendency to go missing in action all of a sudden and no one knows where he is but will randomly hit you up at 10pm to grab ramen with him or those ghetto ass meals ($0.80 rice burgers ftw) on the sidewalk that give you both diarrhea

TANAKA RYUUNOSUKE tried to shoot his shot with you the first you met; now cringes whenever reminded about it because you’re a sausage to him now, as sausage everyone else on the team. the best friend who’s down to hang out literally from morning ‘til dawn, have friends over for a week, go out for late night visits or spontaneous road trips - really anything that serves an excuse to be with the bros (including you). you’d joke about growing sick of each other’s company but deep down you know he’s the one person you could never tire of and run out of fun things to do with. the best friend you could simply be drinking grapefruit shochu with or eating cup noodles and it’d still be one of the most memorable moments with him. the most reliable especially when you’ve gone through a messy break up or when it’s red season - will come over with a whole bag of instant ramen, some takoyaki and some ibuprofen (regardless of the situation)

you and HINATA SHOUYO hit it off within the first hour of meeting each other. you’ve screeched talked about everything there’s to know about the other - volleyball, school life, mutual friends, music taste, siblings, irrational fears and childhood traumas - added each other on facebook, followed each other’s instagram, made plans to watch that game in another school; all within an hour. there’s just something about him that makes it easy for you to open up about anything. the friend that gets you all flustered at the start because he’s so touchy and always poking and hugging you every chance he gets (turns out he’s an accidental flirt). he’s your number one fan and cheerleader and has a way with words that always lifts your spirit, but also definitely the best friend who always gets you sent out of class because your thumb wrestling match or game of tic tac toe got over competitive

KAGEYAMA TOBIO isn’t sure who or what exactly counts as a best friend but he knows which people to trust and which ones trust him back and accept him as he is. yours is a friendship where seeing and talking to each other might happen every few weeks (or even months) but knowing you can count on the other for support and encouragement. there’s never any pressure to be more expressive and he feels comfortable to just be his normal self around you; you’ve probably bonded over mutual interest like volleyball or just sports in general, something that made a lasting impression and led to keeping in touch. you can’t be there in all his games but you make sure to stay updated and send him a ‘congrats!’ or ‘you did your best!’ after matches. you’re sometimes mistaken for his s/o (with how comfortable he is with you), and though neither of you give a shit and even ride along with it sometimes, deep down you’re both thinking: ‘HARD PASS’

YAMAGUCHI TADASHI - timid and innocent, that’s the first impression he gives off to a lot of people. he seems hard to get to know at first but all it takes is a little kindness and authenticity for this boy to warm up to you. deep down he’s hemorrhaging with happiness whenever someone introduces themselves and welcomes him as a friend - he’s never really sure if people like him and he doesn’t like imposing on others. even on a best friend level you’ll learn that there’s so much more layers to him - that he’s loudest when nerding out on things like underdog athletes and comics and art, that he has an eye for aesthetic and beauty and is easily attracted to pretty faces and stylish dressers (but is blind to red flags sighh). he keeps you updated with the trendiest stuff like that milk tea store that just opened or that new release on netflix — always up to date with everything ugh

to TSUKISHIMA KEI, people are either strangers or friends. you could be talking or working together on a daily basis but he’d still consider your friendship superficial; inversely, you could be hanging out only once/twice a week but your conversations would always be interesting or challenging enough for him to keep you around. you’re most likely the louder one or always the one initiating conversations and asking to hang out with him; he’ll call you annoying but secretly appreciates your genuine interest in reaching out to him. you’ll know he acknowledges you as a friend when gives you song recs based on your music taste or asks for your opinion on things - should he get new headphones or that limited edition t-rex figurine? he’ll engage you in debate while studying, in talks about social issues and maybe some existential stuff and you’ll learn that the unforeseeable future led by your generation keeps him up at night

during there grad or dance or whatever they went to the bathroom together and they were in the stall and jules told rue i want you to want to kiss me so bad that you don't even ask and that lines lives rent free in my head 😭😭😭 rue didn't kiss her tho bc she's a shy little bottom smh 🙄 so they went back out to the dance floor or i think they went outside to sit and talk and long story short rue suggested they just run away to new york and jules said yes so they went back to rue's house for her to grab her stuff and then they went to the chain station where rue chickened out and jules kissed her on her hand and told her goodbye and that's pretty much where the season ended well after rue walked back home crying in the rain and then there was the notorious all for us dance part. i really relate to rue bc she has anxiety she was diagnosed with anxiety, ocd and i believe bipolar disorder all of them like between early childhood and her teens and like she also does really chaotic spur of the moment stuff like suggesting they run away but then she chickens out and i relate to tht a lot in terms of anxiety bc well same and also i feel like most characters with anxiety are portrayed as shy and and like anxiety is there whole personality whereas rue's portrayal seemed more realistic at least in terms of my own xp. like once she had a panic attack the first day back at school when she had to talk about her summer in front of the class, she also had a panic attack at a party but we also see her like being that wild and chaotic teenager and i think it's very important that they portrayed that those things are not mutually exclusive

rue says drugs are kind of cool - ik there's a lot of criticism that the show glorifies drugs but i think it just shows an accurate representation of the life of a drug addict like she admits that she knows it's bad to say. her addiction stemmed from her taking care of her very ill father and she had to give him pills and one day she took one or two i think and yeah and that's understandable bc she was really close to her father his death hurt her a lot and like the stress of taking care of him and just the whole situation ofc wld've emotionally impacted her negatively and one day she tries a pill and suddenly everything feels better so she wld obvi continue and ofc it got out of hand. there's also a really popular quote abt the 2 seconds of nothingness of smth like tht i cant remember it off hand

fav jules x nate - jules and nate had a very toxic and complicated relationship and i do not support it in any way but uhhhhthtpartwaskindahotsorry. anyways nate is typical school bully and jules is the new girl but plot twist nate who pretends to be the definition of straight is a jock has a gf etc likes or had a thing for ig mtf and jules and him formed a close relationship on some dating app and then she met him and yeah disappointment the clip is from the meeting she didn't actually stay she pushed him away and went back to rue's and rue hugged her to sleep and it was very sweet

another iconic rue quote - this was at the party i mentioned earlier where rue got a panic attack and jules' behaviour she was acting distant lately kind of contributed but jules had a lot going on with nate blackmailing her and her mom wanting to see her and then i think the night of the party she found out her mom was back in hospital so she was going thru a lot and not communicating with rue and rue felt like things were slipping and she had become sort of co dependent on jules and she was the reason she was staying clean sort of and all tht so rue took the change in behaviour hard ofc and yeah the quote was relatable

another quote from the party after her panic attack - her best friend from childhood lexi hugged her and reassured her she wasnt a burden and it ws very sweet again i love the duality of the crazy unhinged rue and the vulnerable rue it's chef's kiss

rue special edition commentary - i nvr related to rue more than the things she said in this episode it was just her sitting down talking to ali her mentor and like she was spitting some real hard facts about being mentally ill and how it changes your perception of life and sometimes even when you're not in the worst spot anymore you still dont really care to live no matter how many people love you etc n felt

some thoughts on rue being an unreliable narrator which she really is someone commented smth on this post tht changed my opinion of what i wrote abt not trusting her but i cant remember wht it was rn

rue manic rep - she was trying to figure out what was up with jules being distant and omg in this scene she also poured coffee into the coffee maker to make more coffee i believe smth like that but it was iconic lol but she did figure out nate was blackmailing jules and lexi was helping her

so @/dysaniadisorder posted this really cute zoom moxiety art and then i posted some selfies in a discord server and the reactions from that + this moxiety art got me feeling even more Fluffy than usual so here’s a very rambly au that i stream of consciousness wrote in half an hour lol

idk about anyone else, but i had a pen pal through english class in middle school for a little while. so what if, patton and virgil meeting through being pen pals. patton's letters are as bubbly as his stories, he includes stickers on the pages and the envelope, and uses *so many* exclamation marks. virgil meanwhile, tends to write very little and mostly just in reaction to whatever patton said. because sure, the letters are sent to the school and they've been told not to give away personal information, but y'know... Just In Case.

except for one towards the end of the program, when patton really doesn't want to lose contact with virgil, so he shares his instagram. and he says no pressure of course i dont even know if you have an instagram but here it is if you ever wanna try to keep talking. and bc roman's his best friend, of course virgil has instagram (ugh). so of course he checks patton's profile. and oh *no* he's as cute as his bubbly handwriting and his stories and stickers and exclamation marks

virgil's never really mentioned this whole pen pal thing to roman, because roman's english teacher did not sign her class up for it and he knows roman would be jealous. but he made the mistake of checking patton's profile in roman's presence and if anyone's going to notice a Gay Panic™, it's roman

so of course roman grills virgil and virgil caves bc like what?? else is he gonna do?? but anyway, roman hits the follow button for virgil but then virgil throws his phone across the room and breaks it so can we get an f in the chat

meanwhile patton's studying with his step-brother logan when he gets a little chime from his phone and? oh a new instagram follow that's neat, who's [insert cool username for virgil]? except of course virgil's profile is private so patton has to follow back to see any photos. except virgil's phone is busted! bummer

cue virgil not getting a new phone for a week or two bc idk he's in trouble for breaking the old one to begin with and by the time he finally does get a new one, he totally spaces on installing instagram. so it's like a month and a half later when roman asks him why the heck he hasn't been liking roman's pictures that virgil remembers. and then he also remembers patton. *oh god patton* how could he ever forget, he is a fool, and patton probably hates him now, or he must be super worried, bc the pen pal program is over so they havent been writing and then he just disappeared off the face of the planet which?? well patton should have expected it a little because he did say it would be okay if virgil didnt want to keep in contact but *oh god patton*

virgil installs instagram and finds patton's follow request (and like 32 comments from roman demanding that virgil like his photos what kind of best friend is he smh)

and he accepts it

and then while he's still riding his bravery high, he messages patton "hey it's virgil" and then Very Calmly sets his phone down before screaming into a pillow

meanwhile patton's busy cheering logan on at his swim meet but this does mean that he's posting all sorts of encouraging cheesy stuff to his story which means virgil is already getting a sneak peak into patton's life and wait oh my GOD is that his voice???????

virgil is very gay and he is having a Time

anyway patton also almost breaks his phone when he sees the follow request approved *and* the message!!! because lowkey , he considers virgil a pretty close friend!! he vented in some of those pen pal letters! said some things he couldn't bring himself to say to anyone else. and virgil was always so patient and kind and reminded him of all the good things to help and balance out the bad things.

so y'know, fast forward thru lots of instagram interactions. messaging each other late into the night. virgil always liking patton's photos and leaving a single "💜" comment on every one. they talk about roman - and how he's virgil's best friend and he may be dramatic and loud but he's reliable and genuine - and they talk about logan - and how patton wouldn't know anywhere near as much as he does w/out him and how they have sleepovers in the basement every saturday.

and fast forward to moving on from instagram to discord, and joining servers of fandoms they're both in. making a server for themselves + roman + logan (and *oh boy,* introducing roman and logan). sending silly memes and posts that "made me think of you", late night texting that ends with one sending the final “i guess you fell asleep, sweet dreams <3″ message, and the other sending the “oops i did, good morning <3″ message in return

and sure, roman might post pictures on instagram of himself and virgil, but virgil's always half-in half-out of frame or he's blurry or he's looking away. and so one day, he posts a selfie in their friend server because he's just got his hair dyed purple and he's *so excited* and patton. patton didnt even have time to prepare can we get an f in the chat

there are a LOT of keysmashes and hearts lol

roman is still laughing by the time patton manages to calm down. patton sort of flat out demands for a group video call aljsdf

logan and roman, all this time obviously because they can't be out done, have already had plenty of personal voice and video calls themselves. sometimes it's just to help roman run lines or help logan study for a test. but they have been on the receiving end of patton and virgil gushing about their respective crushes so they're in full support of this tbh

so they set up a group video call that night, roman and logan like immediately muting themselves bc let's be real we all know the real reason behind this. patton is gushing about virgil and virgil's hair like, right off the bat, and virgil is slowly but surely disappearing into his hoodie and the lighting in his room isn't very good, but gosh patton is *melting* and then

and THEN

patton pauses to finally drink out of his cooling hot cocoa and virgil takes the opportunity to clear his throat and sit up a little out of his hoodie cocoon and says thank you

and y'all we thought virgil was all Gay Panic™ when he saw patton's face in photos for the first time? and then he broke his phone when roman followed patton for him?

patton does a spit take and chokes on his hot cocoa and kind of maybe shorts out his laptop ajsdkjhsf

because we gotta go full circle baby

roman disappears from view on his camera because he just rolled off the bed he's laughing so hard

you know logan definitely anticipated this, so he's been on best buy's website this whole time, ready to find laptops on sale / schedule an appointment to get patton's laptop fixed

More Majid Stuff

I post once in a blue moon b/c I work in random bursts and get tired easily, but here are some rambles about Majid that I’ve saved in my Notes app and probably haven’t mentioned before!

There are some rumors circulating around Majid regarding his wealth

More specifically: how he got his wealth

All these rumors range from him being a secret son of a noble family to taking shady underground jobs that paid ridiculously well

His name had been searched up more than once, but the only thing that pops up is a bakery business w/ a small branch located in the Land of Hot Sands... not too far from where Majid grew up...

Majid’s a quick learner; he just lacks the motivation lol

Tends to overthink too often, tho, coming up with detailed plans to get out of doing the most mundane stuff

Funny to watch but a pain in the ass to comprehend 😔

Although Majid tries to get out of doing most stuff, there are some things he can’t let slide

He can get picky over how some tasks are done; honestly??? this might be a good tactic on getting him to work (“Hey, Majid. Can you help set up the decorations for tonight’s party?” “No.” “Aaaa, okay, guess we’ll just have Mark do it-“ “Mark? You want to leave decorating to him? Do you want the lounge looking like a highlighter projectile vomited over the walls and ceiling? Give me those streamers. I’ll do it myself-“)

Definitely a quality over quantity kind of person; his room may be a mess of different things, but, rest assured, it’s only the best of the best of stuff that stay for long like lava lamps

I want to say that Majid is picky about a lot of things in general, but he does have his exceptions; for example: food, napping locations, job opportunities, ummm (･_･;) That’s most of what I can think of right now, dang

This pickiness is kiiind of 👉👈 referencing a trait that the Cave of Wonders has; like the whole “only a diamond in the rough shall enter here“ business that was going on idk I’m trying my best

As you can see, I went ham when it came to the “Who disturbs my slumber” line the tiger head had lol 😅(sorry that had become your defining trait, m’boi)

And the mass of riches he’s accumulated over the years was another obvious reference to the inside of the cave as well; can also act as a loose metaphor of what’s stopping him from getting the help he needs; as the treasures in the cave were put there w/ the intent of distracting a person from the ultimate goal of the magic lamp, so does his own treasures serve as a temporary distraction from moving forward in his life

But if that’s too much of a stretch, then plz slap the inner English teacher in me and then myself

Majid’s good at looking through people’s facades and judging a person’s true character, but it’s not like he does much w/ this info

Unless they try confronting him or something, he just avoids/shuts down people he gets bad vibes from

Doesn’t make tactless comments; figured out that dealing with pissed off people was more work than it’s worth

Boi tends to ask a lot of questions when speaking to other people; partly b/c of trust issues; partly b/c he might be lowkey judging you (can’t use his unique magic all the time after all :/)

He’s the type of person who acts like he knows everything, but he really doesn’t; just hates getting looked down upon in general; will bluff his way through situations by being as vague as possible

He leans towards how his mother used to speak; that is: beating around the bush

He won’t lie to you, but it might take some time until he’ll give you the whole truth; and when I say it’ll take some time, IT REALLY WILL TAKE SOME TIME B/C THIS BOY IS UNBELIEVABLY STUBBORN

Is casual to whoever he speaks to, no matter the age; if he gets extremely annoyed with someone, especially if they’re older than him, he’ll use this over exaggerated polite tone that makes it real obvious he’s fed up with them

Gets ticked off whenever anyone advises him to do anything, but he’ll still take that advice to heart

Majid’s probably tired all the time b/c of all the jewelry he’s carrying around smh

Majid sounds/looks like he’s angry all the time, but that’s just his resting face 😔; I mean, he’s always a little irritated, but it’s mostly b/c he’s stuck in that state of being forced awake from a deep afternoon nap (b/c... that’s usually what happens to him)

Plus, have you met his upperclassmen? Have you seen what was going on in Scarabia during Chapter 4?????? Have you met the headmaster of this school???????? (; ω ; )

He doesn’t like people touching stuff that’s his; same thing goes for people touching stuff in general that aren’t theirs; doesn’t like thieves (he’s stolen stuff when he was younger, but he justifies that he only did so to survive; and he’s not entirely wrong)

Ironic b/c his mom was a thief 🤭

He’s also a pretty obedient student save for the whole “trying to sleep in class w/o getting caught” thing that he’s still trying to accomplish; doesn’t like it when the professors get strict with him but will grit his teeth and bear with it

Prefers magic carpets to magic broomsticks; there’s just a lot more surface area when it comes to carpets plus he’s more familiar with the former

Spends a lot of his time in the Scarabia storage room b/c it reminds him of his bedroom back home; probably became buddies w/ Kalim’s magic carpet while he was there too

But if we’re talking about the type of people Majid could tolerate befriending uummm... maybe those with good hearts?? Idk, like those who are genuinely trying to be a good person no matter what kind of obstacles they run into (referencing how the cave of wonders only let a diamond in the rough enter)

They don’t have to be all nice or sweet, but as long as Majid can tell they have kind intentions, he won’t immediately leave them

Has a “haaah... these guys are hopeless... might as well keep an eye on them so they don’t screw up any more than they already have” attitude towards these people

Other type of person Majid would unintentionally befriend are those who are also annoyed of being told what to do by upperclassmen/authority figures; ☺️🙏 vent out your frustrations together wooo

Has some squabbles with Leona when it comes to napping locations

It’s actually pretty funny to watch b/c they both don’t want to give up their spot but also they don’t want to bother getting up

Leona wins most of the time, tho

Majid may have had a lot of energy when he was younger but now he’s a g e d

I rarely mention Majid’s lava illusion magic thing, but yeah that’s a thing; he probably won’t be able to use it to its full extent until his last year of high school and maybe a little bit later; it takes up a ton of energy; I keep on imagining him using it and joking that “aaaa the floor is lava lol”, but then I remember the psychological effects this ability has on the victim and 😬 yikes scratch that

Majid has a loud clear voice when he speaks; often startles whoever’s walking by when he naps in the shadows

As a result of spending most of his time w/o a stable support system and no one static to guide his beliefs, Majid doesn’t follow any particular religion; he does have coworkers back at the curio/appraisal/pawn shop who do, tho, and while he doesn’t entirely understand it, he respects them as much as he can

I’ve said before that Majid selfishly keeps all his wealth to himself for fear of losing his self worth, but there are some exceptions (such as to anyone he passes who’s begging in the streets, a coworker who’s struggling to make ends meet, etc.)

He’s fine with giving away some money, but not in huge amounts

And if he’s giving money to anyone, it’s done in a round about way; usually w/ a dismissive excuse

If this boi had a route, depending on how the MC acts around him, the majority of it will be spent breaking down those walls and befriending him; generally going like this: shovel all trust issues into incinerator one by one —>Get him to tolerate you —> Get him to trust you —> Befriend (?) Him —> Deal w/ his other deep seated issues —-> Romance (if we’re going for that otome game kinda thing i guess???))

I can just imagine Majid temporarily visiting the Land of Hot Sands w/ MC after befriending him and finding out the truth about his parents through his boss at the curio shop; MC encourages him to travel north to pay a visit at some facility b/c it’s rumored that at least his father is still alive

(No idea what happened to Lara; probably suffered worse consequences due to making several prison breaks; had decently powerful magical abilities, so that would probably explain the whole forced amnesia thing that happened after their disappearance)

Majid is torn b/w wanting to go alone b/c this is a personal matter (And he wants MC to be safe) and being scared of losing MC if something horrible happens to him on his journey north; he knows what it’s like to be suddenly abandoned, and he doesn’t want that for anybody, especially for someone he cares about

He doesn’t want to repeat his father’s mistakes, regardless if it was accidental or not

Majid decides to go on his own; probably had some touching parting w/ MC; maybe we’ll go full otome and have a hugging CG where he swears that he will be back for MC

And MC is just like “Aight;;; cool;;; good luck;;”; something sentimental like that

Couple of days passed; we’re worried about him

He returns with a worried look on his face before breaking into a relieved smile when he sees MC; power walks to hug them even tighter than before

Majid thanks them for all they’ve done; he then spends the rest of the day and well into the night describing all he’s experienced and his visit with his dad

They go back to NRC and Majid is less bratty than before, much to the surprise of Jamil and to the delight of Kalim; actually starts to make an effort to not push people away at every opportunity (b/c he originally felt like they all had their own hidden agenda and were just using him for their own gain, y’know)

Boi becomes even more clingy towards MC; by that, I don’t mean he’s overly attached to them (he’s afraid of making the same mistake he did in the past), but rather he shows it through light casual touches here and there (a brush of the fingers when exchanging papers, patting MC’s head when they do something well, gently tugging at their sleeve when he needs their attention) and constantly checking up on them to see how they’re doing

Awkward levels in Majid increase as he constantly wonders if he’s crossing a line when it comes to him showing any kind of affection; he doesn’t want to come off as creepy and make MC hate him

Might also resist being given love and affection at first; but once he gets used to it, he absolutely m e l t s

Cuddles are 👌; might give teary eyes if MC tries to leave early during a cuddling session, but he won’t pressure them to stay; a touch starved boi

Doesn’t think much of PDA, giving or receiving; full on making out and anything further is kind of a no-go, tho; hugging is nice and so are short and sweet kisses; will glare at anybody who says anything about it

If his s/o was clingier than he is, he might get a little embarrassed; same thing goes if his s/o was really cute

Definitely the type of boyfriend to buy random gifts for his s/o b/c these things reminded him of them

Younger Majid was in full on puppy mode all the time, or at least when he was around people he liked; also a huge people pleaser too, since he was afraid of them leaving him

He was probably reckless too in order to entertain his friends

Was really polite, especially when it came to adults; always calling them Mister and Miss(us)

He was also just loud

Future Majid (if he came to terms with most of his problems) would be more mellow than his teenage self; still anti-social but he’s less angry at the world now; would go on to own the curio shop after the previous owner passed on; reverted it into both a jewelry/appraisal shop in order to honor his father plus respect the previous owner’s memory as well

Sells and repairs jewelry and appraises supposedly rare items that come through his store; still does odd jobs for the people in the neighborhood but his prices aren’t as outrageously high as he made them when he was younger

He names the new store after his mother, at the request of his father (plus I only recently heard the song “House of Gold” by Twenty One Pilots and hnnnmmg it fits well with this golden boy)

Majid is interested in most things related to jewelry, probably subconsciously influenced by his father; this includes repairing bits of jewelry; he moves delicately when it comes to these kinds of tasks

He’s a night owl; it’s much quieter at night

Has bad posture from sleeping in different weird places

His body is prone to heating up easily; the fact that he lives in the Land of Hot Sands and was also sorted into Scarabia is just unfortunate luck

Sneaks off to cooler areas on campus in his free time to chill; one of his favorite spots is the Octavinelle lounge since it’s air conditioned and dark, and he can get away with taking a nap before going over his time limit and getting kicked out

The library is nice too (´∀｀)

Would like to go to Ignihyde too, but he’s put off by the feeling of being underground (gotta have that bit of irony like Jamil being afraid of bugs 👌)

He tolerates Kalim better than Jamil; probably b/c the latter scolds him for slacking off

Actually went to Kalim for tutoring advice once before realizing part of the way that his senior had no idea what he was doing; Jamil has earned his respect when it comes to academics

Kinda jealous of the duo’s stamina; Majid’s usually heaving for air after long marches or if he’s ever chosen as a backup dancer for one of Scarabia’s many parties; he’s the ( ・∇・) least athletic of my OCs...

No, he can’t dance, but he can feign the movements well enough to not get caught

FaintAshen's English Morphology Class not-so-101!!!

Morphology is the study of words and their parts. Odd how morphology itself is made up of two words. It came from the German word Morphologie from the year 1817. The term morpho- means "shape" and -logy or -logie means "the study", making it the study of shapes. In a more general sense it is the study of shape, form, external structure or arrangement.

Under morphology, there is what we call Word Formation Processes - or Morphological Processes - which is a means by which new words are produced either by modification of existing words or by complete innovation, which in turn become a part of the language.

We will only be going over 9 types of word formation processes along with their meanings and examples.

AFFIXATION

The most common type of derivation is the addition of one or more affixes to a root, as in the word derivation itself. This process is called affixation, a term which covers both prefixation and suffixation. But I think I should just show instead of going on and on until someone dies from suffocation. There are three types of affixation, prefix; suffix; and circumfix.

Prefix

Characterized by placement of an operator before its operand or before its two operands if it is a binary operator.

Ex.:

The outline's pretty long. i've actually shortened it for you all lol. Please let me know if you want to hear more about this one!! I can talk about it for a while :) Read below the cut for all of it!

this story's the obligatory Human/tmnt/Kim Possible-ish AU. The girls are NOT related and have no powers (in the beginning).

Family dynamics:

BC: Professor and Ms. Keane are her parents, she has a little brother named Ken (ppgz reference ;p). According to BC, Ken is their favorite child. She's just jealous because Ken has more in common with the Professor, who BC truly adores. She and the Professor have trouble relating because she's into sports, he's not. However, the Professor and her are more alike than she knows. Ms. Keane is still a kindergarten teacher and is the reason their family moves to Townsville.

Bubbles: Her parents died when she was young and now, she lives with her grandparents, the Mayors! The Mayor is still the Mayor of Townsville. (btw Im 85% sure that canonically his last name is also Mayor) The Mayor is under HIM's thumb, and when he finally messes up one too many times, HIM has him "taken care of." However, that's like towards the middle (?) of the story. So, in the end, Bubbles only has her grandmother.

Blossom: Two moms! Ms. Bellum and an unidentifiable second mother, who isn’t important (lol). 2nd mother isn't dead or anything, and she's happily married to Ms. Bellum--she's literally just one of those "mentioned in passing characters who are constantly out of town." Ms. Bellum is the Mayor's secretary, which Blossom uses to her advantage.

PLOT

The story starts out with the girls in kindergarten. Bubbles and Blossom are friends because Bubbles is the only person who doesn't think nerdy lil Blossom is annoying/socially awkward/too smart for her own good. Blossom in turn doesn't make fun of Bubbles being a crybaby. Buttercup's kind of a bully, but she's really just mad that her family had to move to Townsville. Ms. Keane (BC's mother) finally has enough of Buttercup's rebellious attitude and makes her sit with Bubbles and Blossom. Together the three girls find themselves in a confusing and troublesome situation: what happened to their class pet Twiggy??? (that hamster in that one episode). They solve the mystery (i.e. Mitch), and Ms. Keane frees Buttercup from the "loser lame-o sissy table." Except Buttercup ends up staying because *spoilers* they become best friends. (and she likes solving mysteries with them)

FASTFORWARD TO HIGHSCHOOL-ISH AGE

The girls are as thick as thieves and have a bad habit of sticking their noses where they don't belong. Blossom's the brains of the operation, Buttercup the muscle, and Bubbles is the obligatory "guyssss you promised we were going to the mall today not solving crime!" (Like Arnold from the Magic School bus who's like "oh please let this be a normal field trip!" And everyone is like "With Bloss and BC?! No Way!")

They've hit a "mystery" dry spell. At this point, none of their "mysteries" have been high stakes. Just petty stuff, but BC wants more. After another bust, she goes home and overhears her father (who's still a high-profile scientist) on the phone talking about the "odd mutant/monster-like" sightings that happened a few days ago in Townsville Central Park. Buttercup takes it as an opportunity to 1) help her dad and win his favor (that she already has smh) and 2) to break the dry spell she and the girls were going through, so they set off to investigate. To protect their identities, the girls essentially "mask up" and by the end of the story are described by the Townsville News as vigilantes.

Eventually, the girls stumble headfirst into Townsville's underbelly and the adults in their lives are all connected. They find that there is in fact a mutant uprising that has an overwhelming connection to the Professor, his ex-lab partner, the Mayor, and a mysterious man only referred to as HIM. And, of course, Chemical-X. X was the once abandoned project of the Professor and his once lab partner Mojo Jojo. It was supposed to be a miracle medicine! Now, in Townsville's underbelly, it's a popular/very dangerous drug/commodity.

At one point in the past, during a fit of rage, Mojo had mutated himself with an unstable vial of the chemical—accidentally--and fleed with the only "perfect" vial. He runs into a sickly man (who becomes HIM) and is conned out of the chemical. HIM takes the chemical and it "cures" him from his disease. It also gives him "superpowers." (NOTE: chemical-x superpowers varies person to person) However, the chemical is also unstable, and now HIM wants (NEEDS) a better formula, one that isn’t tainted (as Mojo still cannot figure out how to make it correctly) and will do anything for it. This is something that HIM believes the Professor can do. So, the Professor is essentially blackmailed into working for HIM (like most everyone who is in a position of power in Townsville). It's an expensive endeavor, so HIM sells the "almost perfect" batches (which in small doses can make a person feel invincible, but is highly addictive) to the crime syndicates. If you take an "almost perfect" version of Chemical-X, you generally need to keep micro-dosing to stay alive or your body starts to fail. (This is why HIM needs that PERFECT version)

Unbeknownst to everyone, The Professor was only ever able to perfect the formula once and it was by complete accident. (the version HIM had gotten was very close to perfect, but not all the way). Even the Professor doesn't know how he did it. (But that's because it wasn't the Professor who had perfected it--the Girls had done it accidentally during a sleepover in middle school (which the ever studious Blossom had recorded in her notebook). The Girls had been playing "scientist."

However, the Professor HAS figured out an Antidote-X. Again results vary. His version works best on the lab rats the original research group had experimented on. Blossom ends up perfecting Antidote-X for humans and the Girls are able to reserve mutations they come across on their "patrols", which pisses HIM off to no end, resulting in a bounty on their head. (He doesn't like the lose in profits)

As more mutants begin to appear and HIM becomes more frustrated at the lack of progress, Townsville becomes a darker place. At the height of this frustration, he kills the Mayor (who was wanting to break ties with HIM b/c of Bubbles' pleading). At that point, the Girls know who HIM is and what he is capable of. Since they have no one of authority to turn to that can stop HIM, they work together to create the perfected chemical-x like they had all those years ago in hopes that they can appease HIM and free the Professor.

The Girls figure out the formula, and in a race to save the City and, most importantly, the Professor, they confront HIM. Because they're kids, they naively think that they can trade the formula for BC's dad. It doesn't end up working out as they planned. In the end, HIM injects BC w/chemical-x (PERFECTED version), and she gains superhuman powers. To keep the ending vague, the Girls end up saving the day ;)

Important Characters the Girls Encounter:

Amoeba Brothers: the brothers are the first failed chemical-x test created by the Professor's research team that did not result in death. They haunt the sewers after they escaped the lab. They are the Girls first encounter with the mutations/mutants running rampant in the City

Gang Green Gang: Delinquents chosen by the City to be injected. Again, the tests failed. Had temporary "powers" but they teetered off quickly and the boys permanently stayed green (weird side-effect)

Bunny: Sad. She is also a failed test, but she is mutated while the Girls are actively investigating the case. She has super strength and was able to break out of the lab. The Girls hunt her down and they end up trying to help her. However, she passes away. This has a lasting effect on the girls.

Sedusa: she's definitely in the story idk how yet. lol. I just really like her as a character.

Princess: For financial support, HIM promised Mr. Morebucks that'd he'd give Princess superpowers like she wanted when the formula is perfected. But she’s mad, impatient, and power-hungry. In the end, sick of HIM's games and the Professors inability to give her what she wants, she injects herself with the chemical. It works for a bit, and HIM's like "holy shit did we do it??" but after a few days, she becomes unstable. (Her death is captured during live television b/c she makes her superhero debut a Whole Thing). Knows Blossom and Bubbles b/c of their parents. Doesn't like them. Doesn't bother to learn BC's name. Just canonically a brat.

The RRB: Adopted by HIM (and Mojo) "out of the goodness of their hearts." (PR stunt). They were really adopted to be test subjects, but HIM ended up liking them more than anticipated, so HIM decided that they'd be injected AFTER chemical-x is perfected. Absolute shit-heads. They can do whatever they want and no one can tell them "no." They cause havoc for the Girls to keep them off HIM's tail. Drive futuristic motorcycles that leave "light trials." Mad that they can't pin down who the Girls are.

poetry?

charlie loves it genuinely and will read it for fun. riley likes it enough but doesn’t go out of her way to read it. farkle loves coming up with insane explanations for the metaphors and is smug about interpreting it in class. zay doesn’t care for it, neither does lucas. asher appreciates it but finds it boring; dylan likes it for the same reason farkle does, only not to look smart but to come up with something completely crackheaded to combat farkle’s interpretation (which he can’t then say isn’t correct, bc its poetry, so all interpretations are valid!). isa doesn’t like it because she doesn’t get the metaphors on paper the same way she can pick them up in film. maya hates it even though multiple people have pointed out that song lyrics are basically poetry -- she will tune you out.

sports?

sports aren’t Big at aaa (aside from dance), but there are remnants here and there. riley follows basketball of course -- even tho as demonstrated in 110, she cannot play it to save herself -- and she tried out for cheer in 9th grade at her old school but was rejected from the squad (another bad mark on a terrible year). farkle prefers wii sports over any actual sport, but will sometimes watch golf with stuart because it’s quality time with his very busy father. charlie did soccer when he was younger before it got phased out by dance and semi keeps up with it. dylan also “played” soccer, but this meant the other little league teammates getting pissed at him bc he never paid attention to the game and was just like “hey! hey, dennis, look at this!” and did like 3 cartwheels across the field. it was a smart move when randall pulled him from the team bc those intense soccer moms were gonna like beat them up fDJSKG. so now dylan is just an unofficial gymnast instead.

isa doesn’t like sports but played them a lot with foster siblings, and even though she sucks she gets very competitive. lucas liked baseball and was good at track in middle school, but he never thought about doing a sport for real because he knew he was going to quincy eventually where his dad is a coach... yeah. no. but he’s great at running fast from the police!

maya hates sports (aside from the art of dance). waste of time, waste of energy. asher has never done a sport nor ever contemplated a sport. the most Sport he’s endured is going with jade to support dave at his swim meets (where nigel also does swim) and suffice to say, asher wasn’t there to look at the swimming.

childhood tv?

dylan to this day is a spongebob squarepants STAN. legend, icon, scholar, best television show ever made, in his opinion. he also was well-versed in pokemon, adventure time, gravity falls, and phineas and ferb. asher and lucas both didn’t watch lots of tv growing up (if at all), so dylan considers it his job to give asher a thorough education in the quality tv he missed as a kid.

maya was all over hannah montana (miley is still a role model to this day for her), and she, zay, and charlie all remember the fever dream that was shake it up. zay especially loved it bc he was (is) obsessed with zendaya. zay and maya both also watched victorious. charlie was sharing a tv with four siblings so he just ended up watching whatever the dominant sister that day wanted to watch. riley was a disney channel girl, and farkle was a pbs scholar (arthur, cyber chase, fetch! with ruff ruff man... classics).

celebrity crushes?

zay = zendaya (as previously mentioned). charlie = harry styles to a major degree, although his Cover Story would be zendaya if you asked (ironically). maya = britney spears (but in a I Want To Be Her way, major idolization rather than attraction) and technically the same for valerie de la cruz but like... rip to that lmao. isa = loki, yes we know, but sometimes it be that way (altho that does extend a little bit towards tom hiddleston in general). asher = logan lerman, aka the main valid white boy who dresses nice, is polite and soft-spoken, and minds his own business (not to mention he is the Same Type as dylan). dylan = had crushes more on like... personalities so like ash ketchum and percy jackson, and now its irrelevant bc he met asher and became obsessed and its like every other potential crush just flew out the window of his brain. it’s full asher territory in there nowadays.

riley doesn’t have a specific one, she thinks lots of people are Pretty but no one particularly strongly. farkle doesn’t have one because he’s insane and doesn’t have the mental capacity. lucas doesn’t have one because he’s demi and also hates most celebrities as people.

coming-of-age movie?

maya’s is mean girls. farkle’s is ladybird. zay’s is easy a. riley’s is bend it like beckham. isadora’s is eighth grade. charlie’s is dead poet’s society. asher’s is perks of being a wallflower. dylan’s is spiderman: into the spiderverse. lucas doesn’t know movies.

we’ve somewhat discussed this before, but ultimately es and i elected to let aaa remain in a nice, calm universe where they don’t have to endure covid. lucky them. blow a kiss to the ether for us, buds,

fave time in history?

riley is huge on ancient greece and greek mythology. maya loves the theatricality and Drama of the roaring 20s (a baby flapper at heart). zay vibes hard with the 80s. charlie likes the fashion and romanticism and music and art of the 70s (that sort of flowery positivity clashing with the rebelliousness of the movements of the 60s... yeah. that hits something in him). farkle’s is the great depression not only bc he’s an emo but also all the raw and desperate art that came out of it. isadora was a egyptian mythology kid. i know lucas sounds lame (he is), but i don’t think he cares about history -- but if pushed he’d probably say the 90s bc he dresses like he’s straight out of there, everyone was angry rocking, and he wasn’t born. asher likes the victorian era bc of the sheer elegance and Aesthetic to everything. dylan doesn’t have a favorite time period because due to being the subconscious multiverse conduit (i.e. the being that is somewhat connected to every other version of himself) sometimes he wakes up and for a minute he doesn’t even know what year it is 🤪anyway...

summer camp?

charlie has been to many a christian youth summer camp. zay went to the kossal program, but that was basically it. lucas no although he probably wished he could be anywhere else during the summer sometimes including a camp he would hate. riley went for a few years in elementary school. isa has gone to a couple of “foster kid” summer camp bonding things that she despised. farkle went to jewish summer camp One time and was like that was HORRIBLE, never make me spend a whole summer outside AGAIN. asher was more of a Enrichment courses at the rec center during the summer kid than a camper. dylan no because the orlandos couldn’t afford something like that. same for maya.

candles?

riley has a small variety of scented ones that are like... warm scents, like cinnamon and stuff. asher a couple that smell like clean linen but his fear of accidental fires keeps him from ever lighting them. maya has one and it smells like “star power,” a gift from her mom one christmas. isadora can’t have any because many of her foster homes don’t allow them. lucas legally shouldn’t be allowed anything that catches on fire. dylan doesn’t have one but similarly should not be given one. the minki have a whole collection for different things so farkle can just pluck one at any time if he needs one like for a super fancy bath or whatever the fuck rich people do.

mental breakdown song?

charlie’s are “falling” and “from the dining table” by harry styles.

riley’s is “manhattan” by sara bareilles and “rainbow” by kacey musgraves.

zay’s are “imagine” by ariana and “dear life” from the step up soundtrack (post zc breakup).

farkle’s are “vienna” by billy joel and “get it right” from glee.

asher’s is “don’t cry” by ruel.

isa’s is “you are my sunshine” because valerie used to sing it to her a lot when she was really little, so it will always make her a little emotional.

dylan’s (although rare) are “soon you’ll get better” by ts and “make you feel my love” by adele. the second one is because his mom loved adele when she was just starting out bc 19 was released the same year that she passed away so there’s a lot of like subconscious association there even if he doesn’t realize it.

maya doesn’t have one, and lucas also doesn’t have one because in the rare moments he does cry its in his closet in the dark silence alone bc he literally can’t stand the sentience of knowing he’s crying so. sensory blackout.

coffee / tea?

riley will add at least 3 sugars to anything, but she’s ultimately an iced tea gal. lucas drinks it black but only because it never occurred to him to add anything to it and so it’s a big wake up call when he realizes you can drink it and have it NOT be bitter and horrible and demoralizing ( “i thought we were all just suffering for the caffeine fix??” ). isa is a tea girl mostly, although she wishes she could drink black coffee for the aesthetic (and hates that lucas can... it’s like... he didn’t even Earn that aestheticism, smh). asher doesn’t drink caffeine bc it makes him Jittery (and he’s already jittery) so he’s like... the lemonade bitch at coffee shops which kin, and then dylan definitely drinks caffeine but not thru coffee, he’s more likely to get like a hot chocolate.

farkle lives on coffee but he can only drink it from home because they’re rich and can have like fresh ground good imported whatever the heck etc etc so he’s like spoiled about coffee. zay will hit up a starbucks now and then and will order coffee at a diner, but he’s not too attached either way. maya is a fun n free starbucks gal with her frappes and lattes and lots of cream (whipped or otherwise). charlie doesn’t drink coffee or tea bc hes hyper aware of his body and health (he doesn’t really have soda either) and it was frowned upon in his house.

College AU! Yang Jeongin

Well,,, the end is finally here and i can’t thank everyone enough for showing this series so much love and support! I can’t believe it’s finally the end i’m close to tears everyone! I hope you enjoy this last installment <3

-Major: Art and Design

-Minor: Applied Music

-Sports: he was scouted by the track and field coach bc he saw jeongin run across campus extremely fast carrying a massive art folder bc he was late for class so jeongin went,,, and stayed though he’s not the fastest he gets doted on by all the seniors who coo over him bc wow look at this adorable kid

-Clubs: photography bc he loves taking photos but not enough to analyse them lmao, also goes to choir but he’s a very nervous boy bc the choirmaster is SCARY

-Jeongin being the youngest means he gets smothered with love and he’s like hYUNG PLS GET OFF ME but he secretly loves it bc it means they all buy him food so he doesn’t have to pay for it himself ;)

-Literally the only reason he puts up with the cuddles is so they treat him afterwards

-(Though when he is tired he lets Chan pull him in onto his lap and he just snuggles up to him bc he’s just a tired soft boy)

-(When he wakes up he tells Chan not to tell his flatmate Jisung bc otherwise Jisung would chase him for hugs all the time)

-Jeongin is literally the campus cutie and literally all the seniors help him carry his art folder and he’s like !!!! I can do it myself and they just reply by ruffling his hair and taking his art folder whilst trying to balance 5 textbooks and he’s worried but doesn’t know how to tell them it’s fine

-Let’s just take a moment to appreciate Jeongin who goes to his art classes wearing overalls and a striped shirt, with circle glasses and a big grin bc he’s finally painting mY HEART

-Jeongin’s preferred medium is paint but he is also partial to chalks bc he’s just a kid okay let him have this

-You can always spot him bc he’s always covered in paint splatters no matter how many times he’s tried to get the stains out it’s very adorable

-He really loves to paint especially in summer and he goes to the park and paints the scenery bc everyone is happy and so is he

-His room is just filled with stacks of paintings from his adventures at the park

-Jisung tries to get Jeongin to paint him and just sits pouting on his bed and jeongin REFUSES bc he can’t draw people let alone paint them and he STRESSES and Jisung is like oh NO DON’T STRESS

-Jisung, backhugging a confused Jeongin: stress is bad for the baby

-Jeongin: hyung, I’m not a baby

-Jisung: I’M the baby shhh let me hug you

-Jeongin: hYUNG

-Jeongin is secretly happy to live with Jisung bc the two of them are just big kids but Jisung is like his biggest supporter

-He’s struggling with a piece of artwork? Jisung treats it like the Mona Lisa and Jeongin is EMBARRASSED but has a lot more faith in his work and his teacher loves it

-Jeongin texts Jisung when he gets his grade and Jisung is like THAT’S MY BABY YOU DID THAT

-The only problem with Jeongin and Jisung living together,,,, is they are actual children and Woojin is almost constantly round to clean up after them bc it’s just a whirlwind of paint splatters and crumpled up paper

-Woojin couldn’t even find the plates until he was putting the groceries away and found them in the freezer????

-(yes Woojin does food shopping for the boys bc otherwise they’d be living off takeout and instant ramyeon and woojin’s like ur not getting the right nutrients as he stockpiles their fridge and cupboards with rice and vegetables and pre-cooked dinners courtesy of Chan who was stress cooking the other day)

-Jeongin just shrugs and returns to his easel

-Oh,,, the boys don’t really understand his work but they love and support anyway

-Jeongin,,, what is that?

-It’s a building landscape?

-Umm… sure it looks amazing sweetie you’re doing so well

-Jeongin just loves abstract paintings that confused people and you bet he has a picture of him with some of picasso’s work framed on his desk

-His mantra: if Picasso can do it, so can i

-His professors love his work bc he’s the literal sunshine when he’s in class and he answers questions very cutely and they’re like,,,, we shouldn’t have favourites but damn it’s Jeongin

-The students can’t even argue bc,,, their favourite too, is Jeongin

-But he is a genuinely great artist and everyone admires his stuff

-He even got one of his first of ever pieces put on display and all the prospective students are like ?!??! this is done by a FIRST YEAR

-That’s privilege bc only final year students have their stuff displayed in the art department

-When Chan was picking Jeongin up from class and saw his artwork on the wall he took a photo of it on his phone and sends it too Woojin and they’re both,,, look at our son go we’re so proud of you :’)

-You can almost guarantee Chan took the boys out for a celebratory meal and they’re all like,,, we don’t know the occasion but free food?? Sign me up

-Jeongin just sits there and is very confused bc he too doesn’t know the reason but Chan orders him his favourite dish and he’s a very happy baby

-Chan does a toast to his youngest son Jeongin just DIES bc why is Chan embarrassing him like this and why is the whole restaurant cheering for me

-Cue Jeongin melting into his seat, hoping for the floor to just swallow him up there and then tbh

-He’s just a flustered boy when people compliment his work bc he works so damn hard and he doesn’t think what he produces is good enough

-And everyone is like Okay who are we fighting :)

-Jeongin’s like,,, no one??? I said it’s not good enough

-Everyone:…. Time to smother you in cuddles and compliments until you believe in yourself

-Jeongin: o h n o

-He tries to run but,,, Seungmin’s arm is flung out and omg since when was Seungmin strong (he concludes it’s all the law book he carries around) and long story short; jeongin finds himself in a cuddle pile for a good hour and given so many compliments bc they just want him to feel better and more confident :’)

-ALSO,, at 3RACHA gigs he’s the most hyped there (besides Jisung but he never rests)

-He’s there with his little glow sticks and jumping up and down in his seat bc they’re his hyungs and he’s so proud of them

-Can we also take another moment to accept the fact that Jeongin goes to Chan and Changbin for singing advice bc he trusts them and they really help him improve esp his confidence

-He goes to choir practice and asks the scary choirmaster if he can audition for a solo part

-He agrees, a little sceptical bc he’s never heard Jeongin sing properly before, and boy is he SHOCKED bc he has a really good voice ???

-Everyone is outside the audition room and are genuinely surprised that their resident youngest is good at singing??

-Jeongin goes to Chan’s apartment after choir practice BEAMING and chan’s like,,, what happened???

-I got a solo part in the concert at Christmas

-tIME FOR ANOTHER CELEBRATION

-HYUNG DO WE HAVE TO?

-YES IT’S TRADITION

-Chan treating the boys no matter how small or big their achievements are? Of course he does,,, it’s a good job he gets money from producing money or else he would be BROKE

-Another thing about Jeongin

-He volunteers at the local vet to help look after the dogs

-Jeongin cuddling with puppies after they have had a flea shot or something??? A CONCEPT

-He loves all of the animals and all the clients love the soft boy and they’re like,,, oh you must be doing a vet course

-And he’s like oh no !! I just like to volunteer here bc they needed someone to help them!!

-A pure boy I’m crying

-He mainly works at the reception bc he’s not qualified to be in the practice rooms but that also means when it’s not very busy he can go over and pet the animals (if their owners let them which they always do bc how can you refuse Jeongin anything) and it’s just very soft

-One of his favourite clients is this woman who has a pregnant golden retriever who comes in for checkups weekly bc her dog isn’t the best condition health wise and Jeongin gets sad whenever he reads the file when he’s booking the appointment

-However,, the owner lets him hug her dog and Jeongin cuddling a golden retriever?? I’m sobbing

-Like imagine a smiley Jeongin with his arms wrapped around the dog’s neck and she’s really happy bc Jeongin is just the softest boy and she’s wagging her tail happily and everyone in the reception area is dying at how cute the image is

-One time Jeongin found himself cross legged on the floor with the dog’s head in his lap whilst he was cradling a puppy and his supervisor nearly scolded him but when he saw how serene the two animals were he softened bc he’d never seen them so calm in the vets

-Jeongin,,, why didn’t you choose to study veterinary you’re so suited to it?

-Easy, I failed biology and chemistry,,, I’m just not good academically

-After the woman’s dog gave birth to seven healthy pups she actually offered Jeongin a job to walk the puppies once they were old enough

-Jeongin lost his collective marbles bc being paid to walk dogs??? His favourite animals in the world?? He nearly cried but told the woman he would do it free

-She refused bc he’s too good with the dogs and she wanted to reward him bc he wasn’t being paid at the vets

-He nearly cried when she paid him for the first time and was like ma’am it’s not really worth this much!!!

-She just replies by ruffling his hair and telling him to go and have fun bc he’s just a kid

-Jeongin uses that money on new art equipment and Jisung is like,,, is chan giving you an allowance smh favouritism

-Jisung calm down I actually have a job

-You,,, have a job??? Omg how did a child get a job before me??

-Hyung,,, you earn money bc of 3RACHA ?? just bc you spend it all on Cheetos or something doesn’t mean I do

-You little sh- WAIT what even is your job?

-I walk dogs

-That’s so pure I can’t be mad

-That’s how you actually meet Jeongin, when he’s walking the dogs

-You’re just chilling in the park with your book bc it’s a really nice day and ur like,,, well it’s time to enjoy the sunshine before midterms roll around

-You’re lying down reading your book when something wet is nosing at your hand and ur like WTF IS GOING ON

-You pull your book away from your face and ur greeted with a puppy??

-I mean,, ur not complaining bc it’s a cute puppy and before you know it the puppy has jumped on you so ur just like,,, this is my best life I’m living right now

-You’re worried tho bc this puppy must belong to someone so you try and take a peek at the collar but it just bites your hand playfully and ur like,,, the betrayal

-After about 10 minutes of playing the puppy falls asleep on your lap and ur like f r i c k what do I do now

-You contemplate calling the vet bc you really don’t know what to do with a lost puppy?? And you know the vet is close by and normally take in lost pets

-You decided that it was the best course of action and are looking up the vet’s phone number when you see a figure with about 6 other dogs on a leash calling out a name

-You breathe a sigh of relief and slowly pick up the puppy and began walking up to supposed owner

-Jeongin,,, on the other hand is S T R E S S E D

-How could he lose a puppy so easily??? I mean when you’re walking 7 of them and they all have a lot of energy and pulling you in different directions,,,, it’s understandable

-However it’s been 15 minutes and he still can’t find the puppy so he PANICS and is frantically searching the park calling the pups’ name when a stranger walks up to him cradling the puppy

-Jeongin is RELIEVED bc omg the puppy is back and he tries to scoop the pup into his arms but you know,,, his hands are pull with six other leashes

-You laugh watching him try and struggle and he BLUSHES

-Ur like,,, oh he’s CUTE

-“It’s okay, I can help you if you want. This little rascal fell asleep anyway and the others look like a handful”

-“Y-you want to help me? B-but you don’t know me?” jeongin is very confused

-“Of course I want to help you! It must be very difficult to walk 7 over hyper puppies I’d love to help you”

-Jeongin just flashes you a big grin and oh no he has braces and a gummy smile and ur like F R I C K call the ambulance

-He hands you two of the leashes, warning you that it might be difficult to control them

-You just laugh again bc,,, how could it be THAT difficult to walk two puppies and hold a third

-Answer: very difficult and oh my life how does this mystery boy do it you think as the pups are nearly pulling your arm out of your socket

-Once the pups tire out a bit, you and Jeongin finally get the chance to talk

-You find out his name, his major and u can’t help but admire the fact he volunteers at the vets bc it’s so cute

-You’re also shocked that he’s not studying veterinary bc he seems so natural but once he enthused about Picasso ur like,,, ofc this boy is an art major

-You also introduce yourself and he’s in awe at the fact you study pharmaceutical science bc,,, wow that must be so hard you must be like a genius or something ??!?!?

-You just blush hard bc hello,,, a cute boy just called you a genius ?

-You protest saying that it’s not that much and it’s really boring hahah

-And he’s like no!!! it’s really cool like you’re literally going to be able to save people’s lives in the future that’s awesome

-You blush again and Jeongin’s like,,, oh I got over enthusiastic about it :( and suddenly the clouds have covered the sun and ur like why are you sad???

-He’s like,, I scared you off didn’t I?? I’m sorry if I got too into your subject :(

-Ur just in shock bc,,, no one has ever showed interest in your course before so you’re just in shock bc u don’t know how to react

-You just protest and say that it’s okay,,, no one ever really pays attention to my course they’re just like heh drugs but like,, ur being all nice about it it’s ,,,,, nice

-Suddenly the sun is back bc Jeongin smiles and asks you more about it

-As your describing how the heart reacts to different types of drugs, you and Jeongin had reached the lady’s house and you’re handing the dogs back to her n ur kinda sad bc,,, you probably won’t see Jeongin again

-BUT he walks you back to your dorm and is like,,, thank you so much for helping me even though you didn’t have to!!!

-Ur like no problem !! maybe we can do it again it was fun!!!

-Jeongin’s ears flush and he just nods, giving you his phone number so you can arrange another day to walk the dogs

-You and Jeongin meet at least once a week, sometimes more if the weather is nice and you’re not busy with lab stuff and the two of you walk the pups together

-It’s just really soft and sometimes you go and get ice cream together

-Why can’t I help you walk the dogs?

-Jisung hyung,,, you’re nearly as bad as the dogs

-I’m offended

-The two of you grow closer, bonded by the dogs, and you could say,, it’s puppy love (I shall see myself out)

-It’s just,,,, the two of you look so adorable walking the dogs together and occasionally eating ice cream it’s so cute?!?!

-One time Jeongin wiped ice cream from the corner of your lips and you couldn’t look him in the eye for DAYS bc you were so embarrassed but Jeongin just found it adorable but also H E C K why did he do that I must be a fool

-A lovesick fool Jeongin

-Yes,, he had developed a little crush on you and it was the sweetest bc he would pay for your ice cream or give you his jacket if it got a little cold

-One time you came by to walk the dogs and u were running on like 3 hours asleep bc of ur lab report and Jeongin was like !!! no I’m walking you home rn no BUTS

-U just accept it bc ur so tired but everyone who’s on campus is like ?!?! PUPPIES AT 12 O’CLOCK BUT ALSO JEONGIN IS WALKING THEM AND SOMEONE IS WITH HIM THAT ISN’T HIS FRIENDS THIS IS NOT AN ALARM

-Some people do actually stop and pet the puppers but Jeongin is like excuse me sorry we have an emergency and grabs your hand, pulling you through the small crowd

-(also,, Jeongin holding your hand and 5 puppies leashes whilst you have the other two?? A talented boy)

-He walks you right up to your apartment building, sad that he couldn’t come in and make sure you were resting instead of studying but he had 7 puppies and animals were banned

-You text him the next day after you slept for a good 18 hours and Jeongin just spams you with smiley faces and heart stickers n ur like,,, hello is the ambulance I’m in need of medical assistance

-Jeongin is blushing bc why the heck did he send so many heart stickers to you

-But when you reply with even more,,, Jeongin full on BEAMS and Jisung is like,,, dude u good

-I’M FINE LET ME LIVE

-Anyway since that incident you and Jeongin text more,, and you even meet up outside of walking the dogs

-Like,,, you told him that you were working late in the labs bc you were doing some more research for your synthesis of simple drugs module

-So this cutie rocked up with some snacks and a hot chocolates from the campus coffee shop,, albeit he got lost bc why are labs so confusing ??? why is science confusing ??? this is why he failed science at high school lmao

-You are very shocked to say the least bc,,, no one has EVER bought you a drink before let alone to the lab when ur working

-U blush and thank him bc,,, how could u not he’s so sweet

-The two of you just sit there drinking your hot chocolates as he tells you about his day in the art department and how someone ruined their work by dropping into someone else’s palette of oil paints n they cried

-You were laughing bc jeongin has such an enigmatic way of telling stories that you couldn’t NOT laugh at them

-Also,,, he looked damn cute in his denim overalls and sweater that you just wanted to kiss his cheeks

-Little did you know,,, that jeongin too thought you looked really cute in your lab coat and a pencil behind your ear bc you looked so professional ??? but also had a bit of cream on ur upper lip from the hot chocolate

-He just giggles and leans in to wipe it off

-You just think,, screw it and swoop in to kiss his cheek and he nearly damn DROPS his hot chocolate bc that was so cute

-So,,, you two are literally the campus sweethearts ?

-Like,,, you’re both always just shyly walking across campus together and everyone is like wow look at our children go

-When Chan finds out that you’re dating he literally cries bc his youngest son is grown up and Jeongin is like,,, for the last time I’m not your son

-You just giggle into your sleeve as Chan pulls him in for a hug whilst Jeongin is like mOM GET OFF

-Speaking of skinship,,, the two of you are very to shy to initiate it at first and it takes like weeks before Jeongin works up the courage to hold your hand in public

-Not that you were much better bc u were nervous as heck bc what if he didn’t like it but little did you know he was trying to psych himself up for it

-When he finally did u were just a smiley blushy mess and he was no better

-Since that day tho, Jeongin LOVES holding your hand

-He literally never lets go of your hand at any point if I can help it,,, it just makes him so happy ?? The feel of your hand slipped into his makes him smile so much

-The feeling of your fingers tangled together, no matter how tight or loose, fills him with so much giddiness that one day ur like Jeongin why do you like holding my hand so much

-And he tries to explain but he cant quite articulate it properly, setting on “it feels nice and I feel so,, warm and happy” and you just giggle, tightening your grip on his hand

-Cuddles,,, at first were rare but the more comfortable you got you can bet that Jeongin initiates them a lot

-Jisung gets jealous when he sees the two of you huddled up on the sofa, your head on his shoulder and hands interlocked bc when will Jeongin cuddle me

-Jeongin just flips him off and continues to cuddle you

-Chan, somewhere on campus: did,,, my son just swear???

-Yeah he’s just a cuddle bug around you and he loves to be backhugged by you bc he can play with your hands and you get to smush ur face into his shoulder it’s very soft

-He especially loves it when you backhug him whilst he’s in the art studio when he’s sketching or painting something,,, just give him warning otherwise he WILL jump and nearly ruin his artwork as you learnt one day oops

-But he just feels so serene and relaxed as you rest your chin on his shoulder and your arms settle around his middle

-The two of you go on so many cute dates as well??

-Like,, there’s a dog café opening up near ur uni and jeongin is like,,, Y/N do you wanna go and pet some dogs and maybe hold hands and ur like,, jeongin we do that nearly everyday but sure where are we going

-He just drags you to the dog café and you spend literally the whole day there hugging dogs and drinking probably overpriced smoothies but who cares,,, the dogs are cute (but u think Jeongin is cuter but don’t tell him that or else he will tackle u and say that ALL dogs are cuter than him) and you get to spend all day with your boyfriend ???

-Jeongin also snaps many photos of you cuddling the dogs bc you look so happy and cute surrounded by so many dogs that he couldn’t resist

-He uploads his favourite ones to Instagram and all the boys are posting extremely cute comments bc our jeonginnie is all grown up and his partner is so cute :’( :’(

-You meet the boys in the park one day bc Jeongin is like,,, u have to save me bc otherwise they will attack me with cuddle

-You agree but are like,,, ur fine with me attacking you with cuddles

-He’s just,,, Y/N ur my significant other you are ALLOWED to cuddle me and,,, I like it when u cuddle me

-You just giggle and grab his hand as you walk to the park

-They’re an interesting bunch to say the least,,, Jisung threatens u in case u hurt his baby n ur like !!!!! but jeongin reassures you that Jisung can’t hurt anyone he’s too small to be frightening it’s seungmin you have to watch out for

-You’re shocked bc Seungmin looks so nice ?? and pure??? Until 10 minutes later Hyunjin throws a bottle at him and Seungmin full on launches his textbook at him and ur like nvm I see what you mean

-Chan and Woojin sit with you and Jeongin and they ask you about how the two of you met, and what you study and stuff

-You’re a bit overwhelmed but Jeongin helps you out and is holding your hand tightly so u feel safe and Chan’s like pure love but also,,, u don’t have to answer out questions if it’s too much we just want to get to know you better!!!

-And ur like,,, it’s fine I’m just a little nervous bc everyone is so,, loud??

-Woojin just apologises for them and says u kinda get used to it once you spend more time with them

-You and Jeongin do study together though,, with being in such different majors it’s kinda difficult

-Though you can always be found in an empty art studio as Jeongin is painting on a canvas and ur sat surrounded by diagrams of the heart and cardiovascular system and everyone’s like,,, this is odd but it’s cute we support 10/10

-Jeongin likes to help you study by testing you on different terms and you think it’s really cute when he mispronounces words and tries to blame it on his braces but u both know its bc he has absolutely no idea how to pronounce oxidoreductases but he tried his best okay

-He got a little pouty when you laughed at his pronunciation of haemoglobin so you had to kiss his nose and cheeks in order for him to forgive you and he was just a blushy mess when you pressed a further quick peck to his lips UWU

-Jeongin, despite not liking drawing portraits, loves to sketch you and in particular,, your back profile

-That way,, he didn’t have to worry about your face and could sketch the backdrop as well

-One day you were on a date in the park and you were sat reading your book whilst Jeongin had his sketchpad out

-He began to sketch you bc you looked so perfect and Jeongin couldn’t quite believe you were his that he wanted to immortalise it on paper and on ur 6 months he gave you the sketch and you cried bc it was perfect

-(You got it framed and it’s now hung up in your room and every time you see it you just smile bc it reminds you of all the good things in life)

-You and Jeongin were just the cutest couple that everyone dotes on a lot

-One time,, you both wore matching dungarees and sweaters and circle glasses and you walked onto campus giggling, holding hands and EVERYONE collectively awed and Chan even snapped a photo of you two bc you both looked so happy and in love that he had to wipe a stray tear from his eyes

-He sent it to Jeongin with loads of happy faces and Jeongin was like,,, hyung ur photo skills aren’t the best but somehow,,, it looks good I’m gonna thank Y/N for significantly improving this photo thanks hyung

-No problem son :)

-Jeongin frames it and keeps a copy in the back of your phone so you both have a copy of it and wow ur so adorable

-The campus sweethearts are just the cutest I’m crying

A/N: You guys have no idea how soooooft Quanzhe makes me. This little hamster is literally one of the cutest beings I’ve ever laid eyes on. This request had a loooot of specific details to it, so I did my best to try and do him justice in this fic. I also tweaked the request just a little bit in order to make the fic more realistic. how can someone be so cute ??

he looks so squishy i cry

so you and quanzhe have only recently started dating

you both were relatively new to the whole relationship thing

which means lots of awkward and shy moments between you two

but you both really like each other and make each other happy so it was worth it

if anything, it made you like him even more

it was a bit of a surprise that the two of you were dating to begin with due to the fact that it seemed like you and quanzhe came from two different worlds

quanzhe attended yuehua academy with his six childhood friends, who all varied in grade levels

at his school, he was what people called the “nerdy” type

which honestly meant he excelled in his studies, usually placing at the top of his class

we love a smart boy

he was more on the quiet side and preferred to be in the shadows unlike his more exuberant friends such as justin and chengcheng

who are always teasing and pulling pranks on him jfc zhengting control your kids

not many people pay attention to quanzhe since he was literally just another face in the crowd (unless they knew him as the really smart kid from class)

but that was perfectly fine with him since all he needed was his own close knit of hooligans friends

meanwhile you attended oaca academy where you were relatively popular since you were an absolute social butterfly

in short, you were a complete ray of sunshine and positivity so people naturally flocked to you

your best friend was zuo ye who eagerly introduced you to his own group of friends (peiyao, zimo, mubo, and qin fen)

with you and zuo ye being the babies of the group, they’re always teasing the hell out of you two

but if anyone else tried to do the same, you’d better be ready to catch these hands watch out

they’re so overprotective of you

it’s all out of love tho

they were also the ones that helped get you and quanzhe together

but that’s a story for another time (hint hint)

since you and quanzhe went to different schools, you had to find other ways to see each other

no one outside of your friend groups knew the two of you were dating, mainly because you always met up during times when not many other outsiders were around

you always showed up with food and drinks for him during his vocal and dance practices after school

his group of friends literally adore you as much as they adore himself since you’re always taking care of him

zhengting basically adopts you

congrats you earned yourself a boyfriend plus a mom and five brothers for free

quanzhe does his best to return the favor by walking you to and from school since you lived relatively close to each other

sometimes he comes over to your place to hang out or help you with your school work

the oaca boys have a tendency to show up at your house during these times no matter how hard qin fen and mubo try to stop them smh

you had to stop zuo ye and zimo from continuously pinching your boyfriend’s cheeks bc it’s lowkey annoying to him

but he lets only you get away with it bc he likes you so much

however, sometimes it was really difficult to see each other whenever your schedules didn’t line up

although texts and calls made up for some of it, you wished you got to see more of your little hamster

as luck would have it, you ended up moving to your aunt’s place in order to help her run her shop

guess what was down the block?

yuehua academy

so as a surprise, you decided to transfer over to yuehua academy in hopes that you were able to share some classes with your boyfriend (which you did luckily)

you peeked into your new homeroom that you knew you shared with quanzhe, scanning the room for his figure

his back was turned away from you, so you slowly crept your way to him and put a finger to your lips to hush chengcheng, justin and xinchun from shouting and giving you away

placing your hands gently over his eyes, you whispered in his ear “guess who”

quanzhe jumped in fear from the surprise attack before spinning around and staring at you with wide eyes, unable to comprehend that you were standing right in front of him

“surprise!”

“(y-y/n)? oh my god, what are you doing here?”

“it just so happens that i go here now. are you not excited to see your girlfriend?” you pouted playfully just to tease him

activate panic mode

“no! i mean, yes! uh, i mean, i’m just really shocked that you’re here and ah-”

poor boy was about to cry omg

you immediately hug him, wrapping your arms around his torso lovingly, “i know i know, i’m just teasing you, sweetie.”

you leaned up and kissed his cheek causing quanzhe to flush red in an instant at the pda

the three other boys were making kissy noises and hugging each other like the immature children they were smh

although you transferred in the middle of the school year, your reputation as a social butterfly at oaca continued at yuehua where you were easily able to fit in with the crowd

although you were able to make new friends, you preferred staying near the comfort of your boyfriend and his friends (who has already accepted you into the group long before)

now that you got to see him more often every day, you took the chance to be more openly affectionate with him since he was so shy and innocent-like

you knew that quanzhe wasn’t the best at showing his affection

he was always worrying about whether or not he was pushing himself onto you or if you would think he was weird for initiating something

was his hand too sweaty in yours? was it okay for him to hug you before you entered class? oh gOD YOU CAUGHT HIM STARING AND NOW YOU PROBABLY THINK HE’S CREEPY ASDSHJD

being the good significant other you were, you knew all of this so you never pressured him into acting a certain way just because you were dating

you learned to read when he was too scared to ask to hold your hand or even hug you, so you didn’t mind taking initiative

he nearly faints whenever you kiss him, even if it’s a simple peck on the cheek

you have zhengting on speed dial in case quanzhe does faint but he doesn’t know that

bc you learned to read him so well, it didn’t take long for you to notice him start to act differently around you

you noticed how his hand would falter or even pull away from yours whenever someone attractive merely glanced your way in the hallways

he would grow really quiet whenever you’re talking to zeren, wenjun or any of the other guys

you could tell his smile was forced every time someone made an off-hand comment about your relationship, usually people wondering how the “nerd” was able to date the popular chick (he always held you back from throwing hands at those people tho)

all of this worried you so you confronted him about it as you walked back home from school

“sweetie, can we talk?”

you saw him become uneasy with your words but nodded, “sure. what’s up?”

“you’ve been acting really strange lately. you’re not acting like yourself and i’m really worried. you know you can tell me whenever something is bothering you, right?”

“i’m fine, you don’t need to worry about me”

“i worry about you because i care for you, quanzhe”

those words seemed to resonate with him bc you watched as his face fell and his resolve snap in a second

“it’s just... i feel like i’m not good enough for you. you could literally have anyone in the entire school. i look at you and see how amazing you are. then i look at myself and i’m just... me. i’m not strong. i’m not assertive. i’m not very good at expressing my feelings even though i really really like you. i wish i was different so i could be enough for you. i don’t understand why you’re with me”

he looked completely heartbroken and wounded as he relayed this all to you

if you listen carefully, you could hear the sound of your heart shattering to a million pieces

“quanzhe... i didn’t realize that you had been holding this on your shoulders this entire time. i’m so sorry. i’m sorry for ever making you doubt that i don’t want to be with you or that i’ll leave you for someone better”

“but honestly, there isn’t anyone better bc you are the best. it doesn’t matter to me that you aren’t any of the things you mentioned. you care about me and i care about you, so that’s all that matters. i love every single amazing thing about you from your strengths to your flaws. you’re more than enough to me. you’re everything i need and want”

that was all it took for quanzhe to realize that you were quite possibly the best thing that has ever happened to him

the following day, quanzhe asked you to help give him a little make over

although you assured him that he didn’t need to change how he looked because he was already stunning as he is, he said that the change would be good for him and his self-esteem since he’s looked the same for the longest time and he wanted something new

after agreeing, you did your best to merely enhance the handsome looks he already had rather than change anything about him

all you did was tousle his usual rounded bob into a more casual yet classy hairstyle and added a few fashionable items such as new shoes and a new jacket to add to his attire

which you may have stolen from the oaca boys’ closets but what they don’t know won’t kill them

before you walked through the school building to get to class, you were pleasantly surprised when quanzhe confidently slipped his hand into yours and pressed his lips to your forehead sweetly

the “nerd” of the school was shy no longer

despite the differences you two had, you worked well with each other

you taught quanzhe how to be more confident in himself, constantly reminding him of all of the good he has in him

on the other hand, he never failed to make you feel loved and appreciated

to you, quanzhe was perfect
