I’ve started writing on ao3, but I’m barely able to get aNY reads and it’s frustrating because I know I’m a decent writer (took literature in ink and even published a book totally not bragging hope-) I need to know how I can get more reads, because I really wanna share my works. Hi friend, I'm finally here to respond to your question! This is a great question. My response is long, so I apologize in advance.

DISCLAIMER

For those who don't know, I have two AO3 accounts: gimmethatagustd & daddytaehyungie. The first is for my ship (mxm) fics, and the second is for my reader-insert fics. My ship fics are more "successful" than my reader-inserts. However, the meaning of "success" on AO3 depends on the person, so please remember that this is my opinion/experience and not how I think everyone should feel. My response is not about calling people out for not liking, commenting on, or sharing fics. This isn't one of those "silent reader issues" posts. I'm just sharing my personal experience based on the question, and that's it. 

Now that that's out of the way, I'll share some tips on how I've gotten more engagement on my AO3 ship fics. Tbh, I don't care about my reader-inserts on AO3 lol I get all my engagement for those on Tumblr. HOWEVER, I recommend reading all of this because it should still be helpful for reader-inserts.  

TWITTER

Since many Tumblr users like to tell ship fic writers to kill themselves :) twt is pretty much the only social media where you can find a friendly community that reads/writes AO3 ship fics. I have a masterlist on twt, and I link my account in the notes of my AO3 fics. The end goal is the same as Tumblr - making a post for each fic so people will retweet and help spread it around. Also, you should use hashtags (#taehyungau, #vminau, etc.). 

Of course, there are reader-insert readers/writers who utilize twt for the same reasons.

FESTS 

If you write ship fics, joining AO3 fests is a great way to get exposure. All my ship fics that have blown up on AO3 are from fests. I wrote Venor for a Taekook hybrids fest. (However, part of the reason Venor's hits and comment threads are huge is that it was an ongoing series.)

I have 20 ship fics published, and only 6 are Taekook... so... you get the point... The only thing that skews some of the stats is that some of the Taekook fics were for fests. HOWEVER, many of my other fics were also for fests... but Taekook fests get more engagement than other ships. Even for fests that are open to any ship, Taekook dominates them. One fest I saw had 50 requests and 20 were for Taekook.

For my top 5 reader-inserts:

Hits: 4/5 are Jungkook

Kudos: 4/5 are Jungkook

Comment Threads: None of them are Jungkook, but this actually isn't surprising because the fics that ended up here are a million times more interesting and better written than the Jungkook PWPs that dominate my stats - Gang Shit, Blood On The Sheets, Not Today Satan, Marry Me, Love You For Infinity

I have 51 reader-inserts published, and only 11 are Jungkook... so... you get the point... 

And before anyone says, "But Jai, there's no way X member could have dominated your top 5 because you haven't even written 5 fics for them, so it's more likely that Jungkook fics would end up in the top 5" - no. There are 40 other reader-inserts and 14 other ship fics. I've written 14 Yoongi x Reader fics. This isn't me sharing any criticism or some kind of fucking BTS fanfic political statement about being anti Jungkook PWPs or whatever the fuck everyone gets mad about, I'm literally just telling it like it is based on my experience.

ANYWAY, I think that's all I have to share for right now?? The other obvious stuff like making sure you use the AO3 tags properly and what not are important, but yeahhh. If you want me to explain anything, pls send me another ask and I'll do my best!

Tumblr made that big long post and a lot of people are angry reacting to some like surprisingly reasonable suggestions that solve widespread long time  complaints

i dont know how they plan to solve everything just yet but as someone who knows some things about the industry and jargon here are my 2 cents

Principle 1: Expand the ways new users can discover and sign up for Tumblr

in an age where most social media sites are making it aesoteric and difficult to share posts offsite /app tumblr is considering making it easier to do

yall do you know how hard it is to link a long tumblr post with like a comic or funny string of replies to share with my friends who arent on tumblr? i have to take like 15 screenshots every time. IF staff is priorizing making it easier to share posts that would be so much better oh my god 2 High quality content on launch.  the pessamistic assumption is that this could mean a mandatory algorithm but if you read carefully you’ll notice they never fully say thats even remotely what they are going to do. This seems to be a suggestion that the default new user experience will change. 

If you like me made an account 10 years ago this looks like it won’t affect your experience whatsoever. 

but like trying to sort through tags to find blogs and curate my own feed actively took like over a year to get to a place where i’m happy when i did it in 2011/2012

if feeds and tags Worked that would be good. the for you page and exploration features on tumblr do, admittedly suck right now. there SHould be easier ways to find and search for stuff on tumblr. if their search worked better and finding stuff you wanted to see was easier that Would improve the experience for most people on this site.  3. facilitate easier user participation in conversations folks if replys could be threaded in some way it would be 1000 times easeir to have convos with them. like i do not get what people are upset about here. like a person shouldn’t have to reblog their own post 15 times in a row to reply to different people about the same thing. they could make this so much better.  4. Retain and grow our creator base

 it IS hard for art to see and get seen. if i had a nickle for every time i saw a post begging people to reblog art i’d have like so many nickles.  I would like to see more art. and ttrpg creators. there’s like stuff i have to go to twitter for and its small time ttrpg, art, writing, and literary magazines because even when those folks are on tumblr its extraordinarily difficult to find them with the systems currently in place.

 like i don’t know that tumblr has a good plan to make this kind of thing easier but if they did figure it out it would rule. and its good to know that this is a priority for the company 5.  Create patterns that encourage users to keep returning to Tumblr

throttling notifications rules. i have commented on tumblr staff posts dozens of times for like 5+ years asking for this, thank GOD. if you reblog a lot of posts you get a lot of notes even if you have like 15 people regularly interacting with your stuff on 100 posts a day thats like 1500 notifications. it collapses some by post or interaction type but that is NOT enough and the notification bar always says 99+ unless i checked it less than a minute ago, im dying please make notifications meaningful and not overwhelming. 

6: Performance, stability and quality

this is generic and means very little obviously anyone making an app wants it to crash less often.  bonus: ive seen people get upset at the implication that they are instituting a mandatory algorithm but the site has had an option algorithm for like ages, it doesn't imply its mandatory anywhere or that they're taking away our option to turn it off. there are already artist showcase things on the dash on the regular, if you have adblock on you can’t see some of those, but they've had them for fully years. 

its highly unlikely that they would get rid of one of the main selling points of tumblr.com they’re like a real company thats done bare minimum market research, like folks no one other than musk would do something that boneheaded

Someone named Linny has made a twitter thread on Kev, but it's this part of the thread that bothered me quite much:

None of that is true. "Mentally abused and sexually harassed his ex gf", no, Marcy suggested alcohol to Cass even though Cass was uncomfortable with the topic of alcohol, alongside with Marcy that even suggested to Cass to try out WEED. Here:

It's been said in the doc about Marcy/Cultc0re that Marcy took advantage of Cass' BPD and hypersexuality, beginning when Cass was at the age of 17.

Plus there's no said evidence of Cass sexually harassing and mentally abusing Marcy, infact, Marcy has said this about most of their ex's WITH NO given evidence, not only Cass. Take note of that.

Linny doesn't have any evidence on their part, yet the doc I included provides quite much evidence especially when the entire thing is 110 pages long.

I don't know if Marcy and blurry still talk, though!

Marcy is calling this lies, but I feel like they're only acting like that because the doc was deleted. But that's my suspicion!

Marcy did reach out to me and Kev in a discord group chat just a while ago, telling us to stop slandering them with this stuff. But I don't think I'll include the screenshots for now, the doc is what you guys need to read, and I'll let you guys think about it.

ALSO, Cass didn't fake DID, it's been proven that Cass has a alter named Lenya, Lanyia, Lanya? Lensomething, again it was proven so in the doc. A bit ableist of Linny to have made a big accusation if you ask me..

Plus, if Linny doesn't have DID, they have no place to accuse someone is faking their diagnosis, that's very subjective and sensitive, that isn't anyone's business.

But the thing is, they knew it was debunked (as a screenshot from our post debunking Blurry's doc was shown in the thread) and they chose to ignore it and try to spread it and the false allegations anyway?? Even though they know they're not true??

Do you believe the stuff with the igotnfts girl?

Let me preface this by saying, no hate to this girl. To me, she seems very young. More likely than not she’s some young fan girl that likes the attention.

Now, that girl is playing y’all like spades, and (some of) y’all are eating it this shit up. All of her posts proving that she’s the side chick, don’t prove anything.

1. The text messages are seedy for 2 reasons:

A. Melo types in all lowercase letters, apart from when he’s yelling. Look through his Instagram & Twitter, he has his phone set to disable uppercase because even his ‘i’’s don’t get corrected to capital I’s. So off rip, the texts don’t make sense because why would he specifically go out of his way to use proper capitalization when ‘speaking’ to her? Further than that, why would he send texts, especially informal ones, with proper capitalization when for years he’s only typed in all lowercase across all other platforms?

B. Everything is scratched out, potential dates included. If she wants recognition as the side chick so bad, why cross out things that could help you link yourself to him? If you’re in Charlotte, show that he texted you on dates where he was also in the city.

Also, I have a STRONG feeling those crossed out messages are her asking a friend to fake a text to her so she can screenshot it. It’s not hard to fake a text, hell you can even text YOURSELF and delete what you don’t need. That’s what I do when I need to make a text thread when writing a story. It’s not far fetched to ask someone “hey text me this real quick”

2. The infamous Twitter recognition doesn’t mean that he knows her. He said (I’m paraphrasing here because the tweet is since deleted) “You’re only following 6 people and I’m one of them, I thought we were supposed to be buddies.” He’s not confirming that he knows this girl in any way. If he had said ‘I thought we were supposed to be buddies’ and left it at that, then you can start to question, but the fact that he emphasized that he was one of the 6 people she followed should tell y’all enough to know he meant “You don’t like me but you’re watching my every move?” He just said it in a nice/goofy way. The only reason you all think it was in good faith is because he used laughing emojis.

If something along the lines of “I thought we were cool” was said, then that would confirm at the very least, that they’ve had some kind of conversation.

3. Her posting flowers doesn’t mean they’re from Melo. There was no card with a message that we could interpret to be him. Hell, those might not even be her flowers, for all we know they could be a picture of flowers she took at somebodies funeral and had saved up. Now, if Ana had posted the same flowers, then maybe, maybe you could speculate. But even then that’s not much to grasp onto because again, most flower bouquets aren’t hard to find. Unless it’s one of those extravagant ones.

4. Her posting a picture of the Charlotte, don’t mean she in Charlotte. And before you all say “But the reverse imagine search—” reverse image searches don’t find anything if you take a screenshot from someone else’s Snapchat or Instagram story, it’s not difficult to find Charlotte natives on IG and take a picture from their page or story and pass it off as your own…which is what I’m assuming she did.

I tested it out. I took a screenshot from someone else’s snap, slapped it in reverse image search and surprise, surprise,

Nothing 😱! And I did this with MULTIPLE.

Now even if that’s her picture and she is in Charlotte, from what I’ve gathered, she don’t know this man & she’s certainly not here for him. I believe she said that she was in the city (allegedly) anyways for her family members birthday, so if the pictures she posted are indeed hers, then that’s why she’s here.

Last things last, don’t believe anything until there is concrete proof. I could take a video in Melos garage this weekend, post it, and say some cryptic shit that’s more believable, and would be in the blogs by the next morning. So somebody posting a couple pictures don’t mean anything.

Unless somebody shows a video of them together, a FaceTime screenRECORDING, or a screenRECORDING of texts with a voice note from him, or some kind of solid evidence that it is him, then these folks are lying to y’all. Enjoy your weekend. 🫠

Update/Where to find my other stuff

Hi there. Won't be too many of these, just want to lay down a few (good) things for what's moving forward.

1- Unless I've forgotten something, I've posted all of my old twitter threads I wanted saved!!! At this point I'm cross posting newer things I find worthy from my twitter to here.

2- That also mean less longer posts, as I keep most of that to my blog/website rn. Not to say these won't appear, just not in the cards. I have been considering posting some of the blogs here eventually. (If I still like them later. And they fit the vibe of this tumblr really well.)

3- I would like to make some more posts playing to the strengths of this site, but idk what I'd like to do. That's more of a thought.

4- Most of my web/writing plans this year is for fiction. (Posted to my site rn, if I post it at all.) So, I've been wondering if I should talk more abt writing on here. I do sometimes on my other socials, but this place isn't short enough to be tweets, isn't big enough to be a blog. (To my taste aesthetically.) At the end of the day I just do what I want. Full transparency, since I've rarely mentioned my fiction up till now.

5- As for writing itself I have a monthly story called simple carnivorous behavior I post on my neocities. There's some other ideas I'm working on... In the short term I'd like to get another short story out. I won't be posting work here, just links. I also try to get a blog post out once a month. (Try as in causal. This is just a hobby, no need to stress myself.) Maybe one day I'll make a blog or smth on why I post my "main stuff" there, but in short, html site cool.

6- General reminder: This tumblr will be tame, but if you go to my other socials sometimes I talk abt darker topics that isn't gonna be everyone's cup of tea. I'll do my best to give warnings when needed. This is more of a general reminder that this can happen. I feel the need to give a heads up since this tumblr page is probably my cleanest social. Don't expect anything wild though. I don't host any H accounts or anything like that. I just think it's fair to mention this.

7- My main socials are still twitter for shorter stuff and neocities for longer projects. If I need more room, itch.io. I usually spit ball more future plans on twit than I will here.

Sushio’s latest Kill la Kill fanart got me thinking.

See, Senketsu... doesn’t exactly get a ton of stuff like this. Kill la Kill animator doujin and Twitter accounts won’t include much content featuring him.

And that’s totally fine, of course! These are drawings the staff do for fun, and I completely understand if drawing Senketsu ain’t as fun as drawing human characters.

But I actually got the Kill la Kill Starter Book recently, which was originally sold at Comiket 84 and then included as a purchase bonus on Aniplex+:

And flipping through the book, I was reminded that while Senketsu may not get a lot of animator fanart, he does get some good official art.

Now, I dunno how "official" the Starter Book really is. (I mean, it was sold at Comiket originally, so maybe it’s more in the “animator fanart” category, but at the same time, it is also a product kind of featured on the official Kill la Kill site, and, like, the SSSS. Gridman Starter Book was sold on Trigger’s online shop....)

But if you do consider the starter book to be official merchandise, then Sachiko Yajima's piece is not only my favorite in the collection but one of my favorite pieces of official Kill la Kill art, period.

The image is very simple; it's an illustration of Ryuko holding her bag behind her, smiling down at Senketsu. It’s nothing elaborate, but its sweetness means the world to me. With Kill la Kill’s fast pace, we rarely get those quiet moments where these two are just happy together.

And there’s more good stuff where that came from! Here are some more of my favorite pieces of official/semi-official Kill la Kill artwork that feature Senketsu!

Next up, I don't think I'd call this a "fave" exactly; it breaks my heart. But I appreciate (?) that Senketsu is acknowledged in the semi-official dakimakura.

Ryuko and Senketsu were drawn by Shota Iwasaki (tarou2), and Satsuki and Junketsu were drawn by Mai Yoneyama (yonema).

On the same note, I could say similar things about these official mousepads found on Trigger's Kill la Kill site. Why is it that fanservice products pay more attention to Senketsu's character than a lot of discussion on the show? I cry. 

6. Bath Time

And I’ve already talked up a storm about the bath figures, but to keep it short, let’s just say that I’m glad Senketsu is included because he wants to cover Ryuko and prevent any creeps from peeping on her. And also Synchronize with her so they can take out the creeps together. He is drinking all the Respect Women Juice.

But on the more adorable side, these stickers by Sushio! The artwork is from SUSHIO CLUB LOVE LOVE KLKL, which has tons of cute Kill la Kill content. Of all the stickers from the book sold in Trigger's shop, these are the only ones sold out....

For another poster, by Sushio (thank you for confirming, @dont-lose-your-edge​!), I wouldn't say Senketsu is characterized exactly, but I think it's one of the most sensual pieces of official Kill la Kill art. It really makes the “Senketsu is/is like Ryuko’s dad” reading very implausible to me....

I've been debating making this because this is definitely not what my blog is known for and I was worried that people wouldn't want to see it, but with the amount of shit im seeing on twitter it's compelled me to make this because I'm so frustrated.

I feel like I could make 100 posts about 'Cancel Culture' and it wouldn't be enough, so I'm just going to focus on what caused me to write this tonight - the Tommy situation. *Warning for a VERY long post below*

To be clear, Tommy has been in 'hot water' on twitter for the past couple weeks, roughly starting with the KSI collaboration where he made a joke about dream stans.

Last week, when the SBI 'exposing account' got made and twitter hyped it up, someone made a Tommy account and made a thread of things he needed to be '''educated''' on: https://twitter.com/idktommyinnit/status/1379158964148002821?s=20

I'll let you read it for yourself (and come to your own conclusion) but to me.... half of this stuff does not require a twitter thread? Breaking it down accusation by accusation:

1) 'The Mexican accent' - the clips show he is clearly only doing it when copying big Q (who famously exaggerates his own accent) and there is zero malicious intent (Big Q is also IN the 3 clips mentioned in the thread, and obviously didn't tell Tommy it was offensive). There's debates in the comments from people who think it is offensive and people who don't, so I'm not trying to pick a side. To avoid accidentally offending anyone, maybe it is best for him to stop, but the way twitter acts as if he was purposefully doing this to offend people is just not true.

2- 'Making a slave joke' - Even saying that feels wrong, because it suggests Tommy is doing something awful. Instead, they are referring to the 'bit' that Tommy, Techno, Tubbo and Ant were involved in, when Tommy and Techno took Tubbo and Ant as their slave. People are taking this vod and using it to accuse Tommy of being insensitive to Black people, but I think people are just assuming the worst. Slavery existed long before the transatlantic slave trade and still exists today. This is a role-play server - Tommy 'forced' Ant to work for him and used the word slave, which to me is exactly what was happening? People 'murder' others on the SMP, people 'kidnap' on the SMP, people are 'terrorists' on the SMP, and all happen without issue. To add, Ant is a WHITE man. Tommy taking a WHITE man as a slave is not something uber problematic.

3- 'His reply to Techno's 'murder is bad' tweet'. - I get people saying that Techno's initial tweet was insensitive, but saying Tommy's agreement to this from almost over a year ago is something notable and worth addressing is just super nitpicky and is clearly only in there to pad out the thread. It also makes me wonder what other CC's interacted with it and if THEY should be cancelled too (according to twitter).

4 - 'The saying slurs' tweet / jokes about 'whats the worst word you know' - This one I can kinda see how people might not like it. However, it's clearly a 'poke' at his friends, making them seem like bad people. To me, its in the same vein as 'Tubbo is a Tory' or when Tubbo shoots back that 'Tommy is a Nigel Farage fan'. They're obviously not, but its making fun of your friends by saying they are, and mockingly making them out out to be bad people.

5- 'Covid jokes' - People are taking jokes he made about him 'having covid' and saying he shouldn't joke about this, even going as far to linking it to asian hate crimes. I don't even know how to explain that that this is just? not a 'cancellable offence'? I'm sorry but if I hear anyone in my family coughing I make a little joke that 'they better not have covid' and I know other people do. I have someone in my family who is extremely vulnerable to Covid and if they caught it, would quite literally die, but I can understand that jokes like these are harmless. The whole internet had a running joke that we were in a 'panoramic' or 'Panera' or 'insert any word that sounds like pandemic.

This thread got a lot of attention and anything he tweeted afterwards was spammed with the link and there were so many people upset that he hadn't addressed it. I saw so many people say how 'upset' and 'disappointed' they were in him.

I get it, it looks bad. But for context (which the tweet doesn't give), the reply was only up for less than a minute. It was obvious to me, even BEFORE Tommy addressed it in his stream (clip here: https://twitter.com/cowrpse/status/1380640046202593283?s=20 ) that it was a mistake. In the clip, he clearly acknowledges his mistake and seems embarrassed. To me, this situation should just be laid to rest because a mistake does not need this much attention, but twitter disagrees.

In case it wasn't obvious by now, the tide is turning against Tommy and people are less willing to ignore genuine mistakes and assume the worst.

Today, during his birthday stream people were clearly already waiting for him to mess up. Around half way through, he started saying 'finna' out of context and Tubbo joined in. This led to tons of tweets telling him he was misusing AAVE, and while there were plenty of people willing to be patient and educate, there were also people seeing this as an example of him being a 'bad person' and someone who should be 'without a platform'. I think people forget that not everyone has the same internet upbringing as they do. In general, I think its noted that the misuse of AAVE is something that has just recently been brought to attention. I learned about it through tiktok and stan twitter, and I don't think it's unimaginable that a British 17 year old boy (who is not active on either) has never heard of 'African American Vernacular English'.

Just for a fuller picture, today has also brought about another 'criticism' that I just had to address.

1) 'Tommy made a KKK joke' - Like the 'slavery' point, saying this is extremely misleading. It makes people think the worst. Here's the clip: https://twitter.com/ghostburz/status/1380673589612011522?s=20

Here, Tommy and Tubbo are both joking about Tubbo's 'bit' of naming his alt streams 'aaaaaaaaaa', 'bbbbbbb', 'cccccc', etc and how it would've been bad if it was 'kkkkkkkk' (for obvious reasons). That is literally it. It is a less than 20 second clip. Acknowledging that people woulda thought about the 'KKK' is not him 'not understanding Black issues', its a throwaway joke about the obvious.

I've basically already covered everything in this document, but I wanted to mention how extremely 'guilt trippy' the whole thing is. I struggled to come up with the perfect word for the situation, and I am open to hearing other peoples opinion, but as I have mentioned none of these things Tommy has been accused of were done with malicious intent, and some I believe don't even need addressed at all.

and "Oftentimes they are the last words we hear before we die and it really is not Tommy’s place to joke about words that affect us so negatively."

Are extremely emotional words for a 17-year-old boy to hear on his birthday, for stuff that I believe has been taken out of context and blown out of proportion.

I really feel bad for him, because such a large proportion of twitter (which ofc is the loudest side of the fanbase) is angry at him and is demanding (as the document says) ''either a stream or twitter thread/twitlonger to addressing this' and 'a long and serious apology instead of a short statement pre-stream'.

We all know how twitter works, and unless his apology is perfect (which to me means apologising for stuff that he should't have to, as explained in the thread), twitter will continue with this weird hyper focus on everything he does, and it's not going to end well.

Twitter's mentality of 'putting everything this person has done that could ever be considered problematic' into one neat little thread is so unhelpful and counter intuitive. I got overwhelmed reading some of the stuff people were saying about him, I can't imagine how he feels.

I feel like I have more to say but at risk of writing an essay longer than my actual work I have to do, I'm going to end here.

music- sia’s movie

I can’t believe i’m writing about this. again.

So, if you didn’t already know, Sia directed a movie about an autistic girl, starring Maddie Ziegler. This is problematic for so many reasons, including the fact that Maddie is allistic (not autistic), Sia did next to no research on autism before directing the movie, and after announcing the movie, she took to twitter and attacked autistic people voicing their opinions. But she’s done so many more awful things since. So yay, article by me, the sequel. /s

Sia has done a few interviews over the last while about her movie and has responded to criticism about it. (very badly.)

Despite her claims, Sia was never going to cast an autistic actor in the first place. She said:

“I realized it wasn’t ableism [Casting Maddie]. I mean, it is ableism I guess as well, but it’s actually nepotism because I can’t do a project without her. I don’t want to. I wouldn’t make art if it didn’t include her.”

It was also found that Sia said had written a film for Maddie a long time ago- in 2015- which almost certainly means she never had any intentions of casting an autistic person.

The plot of the movie, and a clip have both been leaked since the release of the trailer in November.

‘Music’ falls back on harmful Hollywood sterotypes again, and again- but yet, after it was no longer fresh news, almost nobody but the autistic community was talking about it. It’s still set to be released soon this year, but stereotypes such as ‘autism = special/savant abilities’ as seen in Rain man, and ‘Autistic people don’t have feelings’ - are ones that lead to underdiagnosis, and biases in the professional world.

“We are particularly alarmed that Sia has said it would be ‘cruel’ to cast a nonspeaking autistic person as an actor. It suggests that she thinks that autistic people don’t understand our own lives and aren’t the people who should be telling our own stories. When people tell stories about autism that cut out an autistic point of view, when storytellers view us as objects to tell inspirational stories about, or when autism is treated as a narrative device rather than as a disability community full of real people, the stories that are told fall flat, don’t speak to our reality, and are often harmful to us.” -Zoe Gross, ASAN

Sia refused to refer to her main character as disabled, and only used the term ‘special abilities’ which just further proves how these sterotypes affect people’s view of autistic people. In today’s society, autism is a disability, and that’s not a bad thing. She also described the film as “Rainman, the musical- but with girls”

There are several meltdown scenes in the movie, and one of them has been leaked in a clip. In this, Music is having a meltdown in a park, and she is then held in prone restraint. Meaning she was jumped on top of and pinned to the ground. This was not only unnecessary, but potentially deadly. This film is going to be big, if it gets released, and it was very much made for a neurotypical audience’s enjoyment. People will likely see this movie, and think that restraining an autistic person is ok. It’s not. This is how people get killed. Recently a story came up about Eric Parsa, a 16 year old autistic boy who was killed at the hands of the police last year, after they used this ‘technique’ on him.

Regarding this scene Sia said, “If they [cinema-goers] watch the movie, it will allow them to touch into their compassion. That scene was so important to me, because of all the people staring. I felt compelled to put it in.”

This is why people need to listen and learn from actual autistic people. There’s so much dangerous misinformation out there, and it’s unacceptable. There is nothing ‘compassionate’ about harming people, and autistic people are people. i.e people who deserve the same rights and dignity as everyone else.

Sia continues to further dehumanize autistic people by constantly talking about ‘levels of functioning’. humans are impossibly complex, and there’s no one way to function. In an interview with Sia, nonspeaking autistic people are compared to ‘inanimate objects, like wigs’.

Sia also said “People functioning at Music’s level can’t get on Twitter and tell me I did a good job either.” This is untrue, firstly because, again- there’s no one way to function, and just because a person can’t speak, doen’t mean they don’t have a right to opinions, and feelings (and it definitely doesn’t mean they should be compared to ‘inanimate objects’), and secondly because many nonspeaking autistic people have taken to twitter and social media to tell her she’s done a bad job, she’s just chosen to ignore and insult them.

This whole thing is so infuriating, and it’s very obvious that Sia does not care about autistic people.

“Sia being ableist AF while claiming she meant well is some serious abled savior bullshit. I can’t believe so many people green-lit this project & the press team approved the ‘special abilities’ language. Disabled people clearly weren’t part of this production team.” -Kristen Parisi via twitter

She also claimed she decided to make the movie because she was inspired by a 16-year-old named Stevie that she met at an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting. “Stevie used to sit next to me in the front row at my AA meetings. He was low-functioning and on the spectrum with echolalia; he’s the reason I wanted to make this movie,” she said. Autistic people don’t exist simply to be inspiring or make you feel good about yourself. We’re people, who just want to go about our lives, the same as anyone else- we don’t need a cure and we don’t need to fit people’s idea of what autism is, just let us be, please.

Finally, I’m just going to touch on the question ‘Why isn’t any criticism being directed at Maddie?’ This is because she likely didn’t have much say in the film at all. Keep in mind that she was only 13/14 at the start of this project. Sia also said Maddie was worried that people would think she was mocking autistic people. The film is a mockery of autistic people, but Sia is at fault.

“She had researched her role for two years, we watched movies together, and I taught her the nuances and ticks I had observed from [a] friend [with autism],” Sia said. “We did this in the most sensitive and respectful way.”

I can confirm that that is very much not sensitive and respectful- not to mention that Maddie also watched autism meltdowns as a part of her reseach too (filming a meltdown is incredibly dehumanizing) , but the fact that she learned how to ‘act autistic’ from sterotypes, taught to her by a person who just, doesn’t know anything about autism is awful, but also quite absurd. It makes no sense.

No, I do not wish to watch an abled-bodied actor wear my stims like itchy clothes. A caricature of my being.

No, I do not want to see her dance around in skin not her own, profiting from a life not her own.

No, I do not wish to support yet another film that will profit off the lives of disabled bodies without one disabled body involved. -tiffany hammond

I recieved quite a bit of backlash when I posted the first time about why casting a nondisabled actor for a disabled role is bad- from allistic people, so if any of you are reading this as nondisabled people- I literally do not care if you disagree, you don’t get to dictate how autistic people feel. Try a little harder to get out of your own head and see things from another person’s perspective xx

Now, for the love of God, please don’t watch this movie if it comes out in February, and listen to Autistic voices. : Here is a thread of positive autistic representation instead :)

Important update regarding Galm (April 20th, 2021)

TL;DR John has addressed what's happened with Galm; Galm has messaged people and said some things troubling nature.

"So, we're gonna...before I, uh, get onto the actual stream, there was one thing I didn't really wanna talk about and, uh, it may be the reason why there are in fact like 5...6 mods in here, uh, just because this- it's something that we needed to like- we need to...sit down and talk about. Uh, just because, um, you know...it's- it's kind of necessary, it's kind of important and um...I've been thinking about it for at least a week now. Uh, so, before we get into it, just fair warning- I got all the mods here, all the mods who are hanging out. Uh, if you see something that like needs to get shut down, please do me a favor and shut it down. Uh, yes we’re having a serious sit down talk. “Um, so it is no secret that our friend Galm is very mentally unwell. And…[sighs] it’s- it’s one of those things where a lot of information has come out publicly- um- in the time in which his mental state has gotten worse. Um...the only thing I can say is I- it is no longer in our hands. And I say that because his family has gotten involved, so from this point forward, there is nothing we can really do about that. And that’s something I wanna stress like off the bat. I’ve spent a long time talking with my therapist over this stuff since everything has started. And...I find that I am a person who tends to internalize a lot of- a lot of things, so...uh, for me, I have been making Galm’s mental health my problem and making it my mental health, and um, because of that my anxiety has drastically spike to a point in which, uh, for those who remember a couple months ago I took a two month break off because I was having really bad anxiety attacks. And I’m not trying to make this about me. I promise I’m not trying to, I’m just trying to convey- like I- was like- it’s- things have been on that level again and I don’t want them to be. I can’t do that again. Um, but my point- I wanna get back to what I’m saying- ‘cause again I don’t want this to be taken out of context. I don’t want anything to be taken out of context and made to look like, uh, like a certain way. “Um, so, a lot of- of what has been going on. Uh...I’ve seen a lot of DM’s...I’ve seen a lot of text messages. Um, and to the people who’ve, uh, dealt with that, I know I’m not responsible for it but I am so sorry that you went through this shit that went down because it’s- it’s not okay. It’s absolutely not okay. Um...while Galm’s mental state is deteriorating, and while- I-I know for a fact based on dates, and based on times, a lot of what was sent out was during said, like, manic episodes, like those manic episodes where they were...con- they were consecutively tweeting minute after minute, constantly. Um, I know a lot of it was during that time, however, and I think that we can all agree here. Regardless of...your mental state and your mental health, um, none of that- none of what was sent to other people, none of what was texted to other people is absolutely not okay. It’s not okay for a person to um...send messages like they did- I’m trying to be as vague as possible. It’s not okay for...those conversations to be had in the way that they were had. Um...and, I personally can’t stand by it. That’s not something that I ever want to see happen in the...I don’t want to say “Derp Crew”...I’m not saying that. I’m gonna say, that’s not something I ever wanna see in general. I don’t wanna see anyone go through that ever again. Especially through um...especially due to someone who was so close to me for so long, and I’m not trying to say that- I’m not trying to say that, like… I’m not trying to be like- I’m not trying to be like “fuck Galm” you know what I mean? Like I’m not trying to do that, that’s not something I wanna do. But I just want to make a point to say what happened was not okay and we need to accept that. And we need to understand that that’s not something that never needs to happen again.

“But, on the flip side, we also need to understand that this was taking place- all of this was taking place during a deteriorative mental state, I think that’s the way to put it. Um… but again, on the flip side again, it’s still not okay, you know what I mean? Like it- it’s not. It’s not okay. Um...and, at this point, uh, th- it- I will be honest, like I’ve said, it has gotten much worse from the updates I’ve heard. I’m not going to divulge the information because again, it is not my business and- well it- [sighs] it’s not- it’s not my place to say, that’s what I’m trying to say, it’s not my place to say. Um...and unfortunately things are at a point with- I could- I could assume based on some of the things that Chilled has said, that Aphex has said, uh, that...I- I am also- I can also say that like...how do I...how do I put this…

“I understand that- that Galm...really, 100% needs help. I understand that wholeheartedly. The thing is, I can’t be the one to help anymore. Like, I can’t do it, because...my- how do I put this- uh, Galm’s mental health is not mine. It’s not Chilled’s. It’s not Ze’s. It’s not Tom’s. It’s not Aphex’s. It’s not any of you. It’s not- it’s none of our cross to bear, if that makes sense. None of us should be beholden to the burden of Galm’s mental health. It comes down to- and if I- just as an aside. If it sounds- I don’t know if I said “he” or “they”, I’m just trying to make sure it doesn’t- I’m going based on the Twitter profile of, um, uh… [snaps fingers] “she”, “her”, “they”, and then in parenthesis “‘he’ is sometimes okay”. But I’m trying to like- I- I have been really, like, I’m gonna be honest with you, I have been very, very, very careful. Because...I wanna make sure I’m trying to do this right, so, I’ve been trying to go with Galm and I think that- that’s where I’ve been with that all, because, as- as, I hate to say it, most of the stuff in that realm has come out of the blue. And I’m not gonna discredit that. I don’t want- I don’t want Galm to think I’m like discrediting, uh, their feelings, but like, I just- I wasn’t sure. I wasn’t sure in regards to how close the gap of these- the psychotic episodes and coming out- like, I wanna make sure he- uh- I wanna make sure that uh Galm is happy with who they are, and I’ve been trying to be very good with it. So...don’t mind me, I’m trying- I’m still trying, and it’s- I’m not trying to be an asshole or anything. I don’t wanna be. This is a serious talk and I’m just trying to make it understood.

“Anyway, so, getting back to it. A lot of this is- the things I’m saying is I’m processing a lot of this still. And this is like...this has been going on at least, for- since, February, all of this. And it’s now finally just coming to a hit, you know what I mean? And I hate to say it, but, like, what...like I said, this is...not my cross to bear. It’s none of our cross to bear. I don't know if this has been touched on in your previous posts but I wanted to talk on how Karls constant forced integration into groups or need for larger creators around is quite frustrating to watch.

What all began as a silly bit in his early days with him being a part of L'manburg from the beginning or the dream team, has developed into a cry for constant involvement within his friend groups. Be it from Tina and Georges "sunshine duo" nickname they created from an inside joke in uno which Karl immediately claimed himself a part of. Or, in the among us with corpse and friends, although not involved in the bit he would try and get the last word in. It's ok to not be a part of every conversation yet he doesn't seem to realize this.

Obviously, his friends aren't bothered by his actions and I have no intention on claiming they do. However, as a viewer I've recently started perceiving it as his fear that something new could begin without him being a part of it. So what if it did? I feel like Karl is on a constant attempt at staying relevant and dreads the thought of someone forgetting him. Tales seems to be a prime example of such, consisting of 4 well known CCs (techno, dream, corpse, etc.) and potentially one who averages less than 50k.

Although I understand the need for viewer retention, the Dream SMP itself incorporates a wide variety of streamers of varying sizes, surely they all deserve a spot. Yet tales has had a castlist barely breaching half of such over the course of 8 episodes. Although he may not have established connections with such streamers I'm sure many would be thrilled to recieve a request at something bigger than the average stream. He seems to care little for the story's and more for the cast he pulls together and the build they reside on. Due to such, there is no hype for tales, there is just hype for the creators taking part. The project isn't passion filled, it's a reminder on why we should all look at Karls streams and remember Karl, he brings creators together don't forget! He's relevant.

Karl has become too lenient on his friends for content, I can't recall the last time we had a solo stream (minus his apology). His fatal flaw seems to be disregarding a viewer base centered around him and more so turning the attention to his friends. Thus, solo content would be left lacking. His ability to entertain an audience requires others to bounce off of or divert the attention to. I think he realizes such judging by this behavior. However, for the long term survival of a streamer this is far from ideal.

Yeah that has been bought up a lot recently. Especially since Sykkuno apparently sounded genuinely annoyed during an among us stream after Karl kept of claiming he was always part of the amigops. As well as him going on about how he built Kinoko Kingdom, people saying at least credit Foolish instead of dismissing his hard work that you're not been going to use. I said before that Karl's stream are never solo minus like 2 but even then it's him watching someone else do something. Karl physically seems unable to do anything that is just him and his own content.

The nickname for him is Klout Khaser Karl for a reason. I genuinely wouldn't be surprised if he dropped his own family for a bit of clout. Like I have no issue with people making friends and benefitting for clout but when you have to rely on clout and popular streamers to keep your career going it's not a good thing.

Not to mention that when he tried to claim that he was part of the original group on the DreamSMP a lot of newer viewers got genuinely confused thinking that he was their from the start. Like if you're going to have a bit you need to clarify afterwards otherwise it's just going to cause chaos and confusion. Also it's not just clout he has this thing where if he's not got the attention on him he starts doing things to be noticed like moaning loud, screeching and just generally being obnoxiously loud.

I see a lot of people saying that Karl isn't using his friends for clout because he doesn't care which literally isn't true. One big example being one of his streams with Sapnap where he refused to start until he got more viewers and was telling people to tweet out a stream link. Someone else also recently mentioned that during the egg painting stream he constantly mentioned about how far away he was from his subgoal to which others mentioned how he mentions his subgoal a ridiculous amount of times. I was also sent a link on twitter to a thread (now unfortunately deleted) that was Someone comparing the difference between Karl, Technoblade and Ranboo about how much they go on about followers, subgoals, giving money, gifting bits and subs. Like how did Karl spend 30 more minutes asking people to sub than Ranboo when Ranboo streams 3 times as often and twice as long. (Including his subathons)

I genuinely think that Karl has a stable enough fanbase and he doesn't need to rely on bigger names like Dream and Corpse to get views so I don't know why he does it if it's not for clout.

In my opinion Karl started this persona of being an uwu soft boy and now he's got this mentality of doing what's popular and trendy at the time to the point of him no longer having an individual personality. I do think it's a bit of narcissism but I do think it's also got a lot to do with the fact that he's surrounded by Mr Beast and his "Bigger and Better or scrap it" mentality as well as Dream's growth mentality. I think he's adopted Dream's ideas about growth but put if towards himself compared to Dream who thrives off of growing others.

Honestly I think he needs to take time off to re-evaluate everything and start fresh. Not relying on names and not being obsessed with views. I think he needs to take a short hiatus and when he comes back to only do a few solo streams to show his individual personality. (but also to appear in others streams as support) Similar to people staying off the internet for a bit to improve mental health I think he needs to leave to find a personality that's not ridiculously fabricated.

Spicy Tteokbokki (namjin)

Summary: Namjoon dines at his usual restaurant and orders his usual, but his usual chef is not around and Jin has just started there and makes his order, but it doesn’t taste as it usually does.

“The usual?”

Namjoon nodded, settling himself down into the seat. It had been a long day, and he really wanted some comfort food from his favorite restaurant.

“I’ll have that right out for you,” the waitress said.

“You’re the best, Mari,” Namjoon smiled up at her. He’d been here enough times that the entire wait staff knew his name and his order. You could say he was a little predictable. 

Namjoon pulled out his book from his bag, content to sit there in peace until his order arrived. He was just getting to an exciting part when a steaming bowl of tteokbokki was set down in front of him, blocking his view of the book.

“Order up!” Mari smiled before turning and leaving Namjoon to eat and read in peace.

Namjoon quickly grabbed his chopsticks with one hand and picked the book back up with the other. 

After the first bite, Namjoon thought the tteokbokki tasted a little different, but it was still delicious. Too focused on his book, it took Namjoon a couple more bites to realize what was different. It was spicy. Like spicy spicy. It felt like his mouth was on fire.

Dropping his chopsticks, Namjoon quickly grabbed for his glass of water, but in his haste, accidentally knocked it over instead. Water spilled all over the table. Namjoon jumped out of his seat, trying to avoid getting his pants soaked, hoping for one less accident tonight.

“What happened?” Mari asked, running over to his table at the commotion. It was a good thing that it was pretty late and the restaurant was empty, or Namjoon would be pretty embarrassed as to what just happened.

“Water?” Namjoon was able to get out, fire still burning in his mouth.

Mari turned on her heel and ran back behind to counter and poured him a new glass, hurrying back over not a minute later. Namjoon quickly downed the glass.

“What the hell happened?” Mari asked again, stumped as to what could’ve made Namjoon act that way. It was the same thing he’d ordered the last hundred times he’d been in.

“The tteokbokki. It was super spicy,” Namjoon choked out. He looked back at the table and saw what a mess it was. Water covered the table and was dripping onto the floor. It was also slowly making its way toward his overturned book, so Namjoon jumped over to grab it before it could become ruined. His chopsticks had rolled onto the floor as well. Luckily, the tteokbokki bowl was still sitting upright. He didn’t need to add that to the mess.

“It was your usual! What could’ve-” Mari cut herself off, eyes widening. She quickly grabbed the bowl of tteokbokki and ran back into the kitchen. Namjoon stood there watching her go, confused as to what just happened.

“What?” a voice yelled from the kitchen a moment later before the door Mari had just run through swung open and a man in an apron stormed out. “Who didn’t like my tteokbokki?” 

The man looked around the empty restaurant before landing on the only customer, Namjoon. He stomped his way over, stopping less than a foot away.

Namjoon was stunned. Not only did he not know what was happening, but the man was beautiful. 

“Who are you to not like my tteokbokki?” the man demanded.

“Uhh,” Namjoon tried to get out. This man was not Minjoon, the chef who normally made his tteokbokki.

Sensing how confused and distraught Namjoon was, Mari quickly jumped in.

“It’s my fault,” Mari interrupted before Seokjin could start yelling again. “I completely forgot you aren’t usually here when Namjoon is, Seokjin. Minjoon is typically always here and knows Namjoon’s usual order. I forgot to write down his full order since Minjoon knows it by heart.”

Seokjin started grumbling under his breath but Mari continued.

“Namjoon here doesn't like chili paste in his tteokbokki, Seokjin. When I write his order, I can just say Namjoon is here and Minjoon knows how to prepare it, but I didn’t think to write that down for you. I’m sorry,” Mari quickly bowed her head, hoping for forgiveness from both parties.

“It’s alright, Mari,” Namjoon said. “It’s an honest mistake.”

Mari smiled at him, and both her and Namjoon turned to Seokjin to see what his reaction would be. 

“Let me make you a new bowl,” Seokjin offered after a moment. “Just the chili paste, right? No other modifications?” 

Namjoon smiled and shook his head. Seokjin nodded and turned back toward the kitchen.

Mari and Namjoon made quick work of cleaning up the table while Seokjin made a new bowl. By the time they were done, Seokjin was walking back out with a steaming bowl in his hands.

“Mari, I’ve got this. Why don’t you go ahead and head out. It’s almost closing anyway,” Seokjin offered. 

Mari quickly nodded her thanks and headed back to the kitchen.

Seokjin set the bowl in front of Namjoon and gestured for him to take a seat.

“Now, I need to get to know the only man I’ve ever met who didn’t like my tteokbokki,” Seokjin said, sliding into the booth opposite Namjoon. “I still can’t believe you didn’t like my tteokbokki! And chili paste! That’s what got you?”

Namjoon bowed his head, trying to hide his blush. He’d like to think he could handle spicy foods, but he knew he was pretty weak when it came down to it, telling the other man as such.

Seokjin just laughed, shaking his head in disbelief. 

“Are you sure you should be doing this?” Namjoon questioned after a moment of awkward silence. “I mean, I get that it’s late and I’m your only customer, but what if your boss comes in or something?”

Namjoon had no problem talking with the pretty man, but he didn’t want to get him in trouble.

“Oh, the boss won’t mind,” Seokjin replied with a smirk.

“How do you know? Aren’t you worried about getting in trouble and losing your job?” 

“Fine, I’ll ask him,” Seokjin sighed, turning his head slightly to the right. “Seokjin, as the boss and owner of this restaurant, are you okay with me talking with this handsome man sitting in front of me?” Seokjin then turned his head slightly to the left. “Why yes, Seokjin, my most amazing chef! I would love for you to sit and talk with this handsome man with the most beautiful eyes.” 

Seokjin then turned back to Namjoon.

“See, he’s okay with it,” Seokjin said with a laugh, shrugging his shoulders.

Namjoon let his mouth hang open for a moment in shock before he let out a small laugh. 

“You’re something else, you know that?” Namjoon asked with a smile on his face.

“Yes, I know. Now, eat your tteokbokki and tell me all about yourself,” Seokjin replied, gesturing toward the bowl sitting in front of the other man.

Namjoon looked down and realized that he’d completely forgotten that he hadn’t even eaten dinner yet. He grabbed his chopsticks and took his first bite, holding in a moan at how good it was.

“So Namjoon, what do you like to do in your free time?”

By the end of the night, Namjoon was walking away with a full stomach, a new contact in his phone, and a date scheduled for the following week. It might have been the weirdest night he’s ever had at the restaurant, but he wouldn’t be forgetting it anytime soon.

The First Royal Baby in 125 Years

hi!!! my name is kate and im going to be using this account to write probably small one shots from ideas that pop into my head. i post a lot of my ideas on my twitter @/korokkinnie so if youd like to follow that feel free to ! i am first going to focus on making some one shots on a thread i made a few weeks ago, all sfw ! this is the first installment in that twitter thread series. also i kinda changed the situation for this one but oh well

Zelda had been the last royal baby born in the last 125 years. For a very long time, she dreaded the idea of having a child, feeling as though it was one more thing wrought upon her from her royal heritage. She had no siblings, so she was solely responsible for continuing the lineage of the Goddess Hylia, so of course she was expected to have children. Many children, most likely. Whenever she thought about her future, she always assumed she would wed some strange noble man she’d never met before in her life and then have about five consecutive children with him. That is, if she even survived the Calamity. That makes two life-changing events that she was obligated to by decree of the Goddess Hylia. 

Of course, she didn’t expect to officially be the last remaining member of royal family, 107 years into the future, and she especially did not expect to be married to Link of all people. If only 18 year old her could see her now! The very thought of having of a child with that spoiled royal knight of hers probably would have made her vomit immediately. 

Zelda chuckled to herself while she sat in the chair in the loft of their Hateno home. The castle reconstruction was going great, and in fact, the couple lived there for most of the year. During the last few months of her pregnancy, however, Zelda had decided to stay at Link’s house in Hateno village, opting for the cozier, more peaceful feel of the small farming village rather than the loud, bustling castle. She was happy she made that decision now that she was due any day. 

She sat a hand on her belly, gently rubbing to try to soothe the baby that was kicking furiously in there. Already so much like their father, who at the moment was outside tending to the horses. Zelda stood up from her chair, and walked down the wooden steps, holding up the skirt of her maternity dress that Paya had handmade for her. She made it to the bottom of the stairs (thank Hylia) and walked over to their small kitchen, opening a cabinet and hoping there was some leftover fruitcake from when Link made it the other night. As she reached up, she felt a sharp pain in her lower belly. This had been happening for a few hours now, gradually picking up in pace. She knew soon she would deliver this new royal child. 

Zelda turned around when she heard the old door creaking open to see Link walking in with a brush he must’ve been using on the horses. She smiled and asked “Would you please get the fruitcake down from the cabinet? I tried but the baby keeps punching me whenever I reach up.”

Link chuckled and walked over, setting the brush down on the counter and getting the last piece of fruit cake out of the cabinet. He sat it down on their dining table and then came back and took Zelda’s hand, escorting her to safety in the dining chair. 

“I don’t know if you know this, Link, but pregnant women can still walk.”

Link laughed under his breath and blushed at the cheesy thing he was about to say. “Yeah, but they don’t have to when their husband will carry them everywhere...”

Zelda sighed in resignation. “I suppose that’s true.”

Link sat down at the chair next to her as she took a bite of her fruit cake. “How are you feeling? Ok? I know you said the baby was punching you.”

“Oh, I’m alright. Although the contractions are definitely picking up their pace.”

Link hummed in answer, taking Zelda’s hand that didn’t have a fork in it and traced circles in her palm. Once she was done with her fruit cake, Link went to take the plate from her to wash, but Zelda insisted she do it herself. Zelda rose with a groan, plate in hand, and began her trek (hobble, really) over to the wash basin. She got about halfway there when a very, very sharp pain hit her and she felt something wet running down her leg. 

“Oh! Oh Goddess, Link!”

Link stood up, possibly faster than she’d ever seen him move (which is impressive) and was by her side in an instant, holding one hand and his other hand supporting behind her back. “What? What’s wrong? Is it the baby?”

“Hnggg,” Zelda groaned, putting a hand on her belly, “my water definitely just broke.” 

“Oh God, oh God, ok ok, I am going to warp up to Purah’s and tell her to get here will you be ok here on you’re own?” Link said, clearly nervous and very unsure of himself. 

“Yes, yes just help me over to that chair please.” 

Link basically picked her up and sat her down on the chair. Then he got the Sheikah slate and in record time warped up to Purah’s lab. As soon as he rematerialized, he was rushing through the door. 

“Purah! Purah!”

“Linky is that you?” said the teenage girl peeking her head through the back door. “Oh, hey Linky! What’s got you all freaked out? I don’t think I’ve ever seen you so on edge before, except maybe that time after you woke up and you-”

Link didn’t have time for this. He cut Purah off with “Zelda’s in labor”

“Well why didn’t you say that in the first place, Linky! Jeesh, kids these days need to get their priorities straightened out! Ok, well lucky for you, I had Symin pack all the things I would need for delivering a baby a few days ago, so we won’t need to scramble to find anything. Oh also, Symin! Symin! Warp to Kakariko and tell Impa to ”

Link just started walking out the door, knowing by now that was the only way to get Purah to make good time. 

When they got back to the house, Purah slammed the door open and scanned the room, eyes locking on a very hunched over Zelda sitting in the same chair Link left her in. “Princess, how are we feeling?” 

“Not good.” Zelda growled, clearly displeased with Purah’s question. Maybe she should have rethought her choice of midwife. “Are you sure you know what you’re doing?”

“Of course, Princess, I delivered both of Impa’s snotty little kids and they turned out fine! Although they never go to see her...”

“Purah.” Link said trying to get her back on task. 

“Oh right! Let’s see what we’ve got here... Holy Hylia, Zelda! How long ago did your water break!”

“It’s been about an hour now.” Link filled in for his currently indisposed wife.

“Well, good for you, this isn’t gonna take long at all! I can already see the little guy’s feet. Or girl, at this rate we’ll know in about thirty minutes!”

“Purah! Shut up!” Zelda yelled and both the excitable young scientist and the terrified husband shut up.

Link walked to the wash basin and wet a cloth with cold water. He walked back over and began dabbing Zelda’s face with it. As another set of contractions rolled in, Zelda grabbed her husband’s hand. And squeezed entirely too hard.

On Ash (again)

Hey-so there's stuff going on with Ash again. She's said some racist against Asian COVID related things and the R slur on Discord(This is all stuff from 2018-June 2020). I was going to make a post about it but quite frankly, I got five hours of sleep last night and I don't have the mental capacity nor do I feel like, as a white woman, do I feel like I should try to explain it. I'm going to link the Twitter thread.

She also just did a livestream giving her side of things. I couldn't watch it due to having a session with my therapist at the same time(And my therapist kept mentioning how tired I was) but Twitter made it sound like it was a lot of excuses but that the protests one was anti masker protests.

Like my last On Ash post, I'm going to do a read more for my thoughts.

I'm disappointed in Ash making the Chinese/Asian virus jokes. Like, thinking back to February of last year, on of my biggest worries was that I had a long standing crush on a former professor whose family lived in South Korea(We stayed friendly after our class ended well over a year before then, I saw him on school breaks, long story but we still plan to see each other once it's safe) and since SK was one of the first places hit outside China, was his family okay? Were his in-laws? And Asian people around the globe were facing racism which was so beyond frustrating but I don't wanna dig up bad memories and possibly triggers for people and obviously, at the time, my heart focused on the guy I adored and his family.

And she was joking about bat virus soup and encouraging people saying "corona boy." I get that bats don't look appetizing and I agree entirely but that's when you don't say anything and respect people's culture. I think we've all done it. Especially at a sensitive time like that, you don't joke about that. I'm thinking back to me at that time and imagining someone joking about COVID and it seems crazy. I mean, I was naïve(Edited, the original word was ignorant but that has a negative connotation while I think very few of us had any idea how badly COVID was going to be in the west back in February) and wasn't seriously thinking it was going to hit the US as badly as it did but between Prof C and Kpop, I was thinking and worrying about it to some degree on a daily basis compared to a lot of Americans while she was joking about it and it's just... Have some tact, I think???

(I'm also hesitant to judge the first screenshot because out of context, for all I know she literally had Chinese food and then it didn't sit right in her stomach, like in a food poisoning way and I wouldn't put it past Twitter to twist things against Ash but that's just me).

I won't address the protest thing without seeing her explanation. Her police comment was... Naïve, is how I took it personally. The R slur was completely out of line, and there's no defending it.

However, like last time, as long as Corpse, Sykkuno, and friends keep supporting her, I'll keep supporting her. I'm horrible for that, I think, but that's the truth. I'm going to keep her off this blog for a bit I think, other than maybe a Corpse and Ash post I wanted to make while watching the VOD. Otherwise, I'm going to keep Ash to a very low minimum.

But no, I'm disappointed. I really am. I'm just exhausted and I feel like I don't have the right words to express it. I know my response is probably lukewarm and very white but this is where I'm at. Now I'm just going to go and wait for Uno.

The problematic behavior of Tomdaya stans; a thread

Some of you might not be aware of the stalkerish problematic stuff tomdaya stans have done with Tom and Zendaya’s life but it’s gotten to the point where Tom’s own brothers protect with big scrutiny every single female in Tom’s life because they fear they’re going to get bullied or harassed. This is not OK and this has to stop so we’re exposing their toxic behavior. 

This is only to bring awareness and we do not condom any hate or death threats, don’t send hate to tomdaya accounts, either block them or report them but don’t bully them. Many of them might need professional help dealing with the fact that Tom and Z are not together due to the fact that they created an illusion in their heads for a long time but that doesn’t mean some of them aren’t plenty manipulative and love to get away with bullying and harassment. 

If you don’t know, Tom was recently seen with another woman on his instagram, not going to say the name and please don’t try to find out about her, the relevant information is in this post and all of the private information regarding her is being protected for the same reasons. Many stans decided to apply the same treatment to her as they did to Olivia. If you don’t know what happened last year, all information is here. The fact that this kind of bullying and harassment got overlooked is horrifying. 

This specific behavior doesn’t apply to all of the stans but the vast majority is on the same page.

STALKING 

1. Tomdaya stans have made an entire thread/timeline of events in Tom and Zendaya's life that they manipulated so it can be seen as proof of them dating. They stalk every single part of their lives, from paying stalkerish apps to review their instagram activities daily to having a constant GPS to know their exact locations everyday. They ask twitter accs, owners of restaurants/stores, people close to them information about their whereabouts/the things they buy or eat/who they were with, etc.

They order their ‘’interactions’’ with specific dates and they even know information you shouldn’t know about them. 

They pay for apps that helps them stalk their every move. That’s right, they take every like as proof of them being together. 

They hide behind the pretext that they're celebrities and this is what they've signed up for but neither Tom nor Zendaya have signed up for constant daily harassment of their partners in life. 

HARASSMENT OF PARTNERS

Tom was seen last year with a blonde girl called Olivia, everyone speculated that was his girlfriend and that was something everyone should’ve respected since it’s Tom’s life and he’s in control of it, instead, many fans including Tom H. crazy fans and tomdaya stans, decided to stalk and harass Olivia to the point she had to make her account private. They started bullying her by publicly calling her names like ‘’Olive Oil’’, ‘’Ugly old woman’’, ‘’Ugly fake bitch’’ among other names. They continuously compare her with Zendaya and write on her friends and family members’ social media and ask them to tell Olivia nasty things. You really think this is ok? 

Same is happening with the girl Tom was seen with. Tom’s own brothers asked several people to take down and delete the video because they were disrupting her privacy. Many stans didn’t care and started all over again harassing the girl. (I’m not posting images or the identity of this new girl in hopes that this helps maintain a little big of privacy for her.) 

However here are some examples of them harassing Olivia:

MANIPULATING THE NARRATIVE

Tomdaya stans and some Tom Holland crazy stans love to harass Tom Holland to the point that they tag family members and friends only because he decided to go out in public with Olivia. They call him cheater, manipulator, a dumbass, made fun of him because Tom is dyslexic calling him an illiterate, mocked him and tried to cancel him in every opportunity given by manipulating everyone into thinking some of these ‘’facts’’ are true. 

Many fans don’t know better and go to social media to frame Tom as a scumbag because many tomdaya stans have convinced the public of this.

This same issue occurs with Zendaya. Her known boyfriend; Jacob Elordi, is frequently called a cheater and is being investigated every five seconds on every social media, candid, interaction ever. Many fans are already calling him cheater, telling everyone Zendaya’s changed her behavior thanks to Jacob and that she needs help.

BULLYING

Making fun of Jacob Elordi’s wealth… but that isn’t that only thing that the Tomdaya stans have done.

She basically implied that Olivia looked like an elderly lady, and she permitted her followers to humiliate her.

Funny, that a middle aged woman who has never revealed her face on her blog is bullying a young woman.

Labelling Zendya, Jacob E., Tom, and Olivia as cheaters, when there was no confirmed relationship between Tom and Z, and Jacob broke up with Cari already is plain disrespectful. These are type of claims are considered slander, and I’m surprised that the people who own these accounts haven’t been rightfully sued.

And remember when I talked about the repetition of people tagging Tom and Z’s family for their ‘thoughts’? Why are you tagging Nikki in your post?

Calling Olivia, once again, a vulgar word that shouldn’t be used for any woman.

This person and many other tomdayas are harassing Zendaya and Tom by tagging them repeatedly. Now we know why Tom stopped using Twitter, and why he may be taking breaks from social media.

And, as pointed out in another point on the thread: Tom has dyslexia! I easily ignore the posts that tease him about his lips, but when it comes to his disability, that crosses the line. It is unacceptable to bully someone just because your fantasy relationship doesn’t seem so real now.

Before I finish this point, I just want to remind people that celebrities are humans too. Everyone has feelings, and even if they haven’t seen these posts, it is still harmful to post this kind of information on your account. Fans who are young (or naive) may see these posts, thus making them believe that Tom actually cheated on Z, and that Z is really with Jacob as ‘payback’ to Tom. Bullying is still an ongoing issue, and maybe you should stop harassing/humiliating people on your platform.

DEATH THREATS

Olivia, Tom and his family, friends, Zendaya, Jacob Elordi, etc. They were sent death threats as a result of a fictional ship. This is truly upsetting and we’ve shown some proof of that above and it’s truly sickening how many of them really want to attack Olivia in public only because of a few photographs. 

DEBUNKING EVIDENCE

While we don’t know anything for sure, we need to trust and respect what Tom and Zendaya have said several times: they were never together and they were just friends. This is a topic that makes them feel uncomfortable and tomdaya stans decide to twist their words every time they want to clarify the situation, saying they’re hiding their relationship and that they’ve been hiding it for over 3 years. 

Stop believing everything SpideyParker on YouTube says, that person desperately wants them together so they’ll do anything in their power to make it seem like that they’re ’’still together’’. All of their evidence is also nothing but scraps. I can also make a video cropping out certain individuals from the frame to make it look like Tom is with someone or I can also investigate every tiny detail to a borderline degree to make it seem like Zendaya is dating someone. It’s really easy to manipulate the truth, so don’t fall for these things so easily. Check with the real sources, Tom and Zendaya. Trust and respect what they say it’s not your job to investigate and figure their lives out.

You can ship them if you want, as a bromance or cute chemistry, but not at the expense of someone else. Not when you violate their privacy, their lives and specially not when you bully, harass and stalk every detail of their lives.

All of this have gotten to the point where Tom can’t have a friendship with a female and he has to ‘’protect’’ them every time he wants to interact with them. Do you guys seriously think this is ok? Are you really a fan of his if this is how you want him to live? Controlling him all the time? 

Do you realize how wrong and unfair it is for the other partner every time you comment in every single picture on instagram, twitter, etc about how ‘’cute’’ Tom and Zendaya are? About how ‘’ugly’’ Olivia is? How about when you compare Zendaya and Olivia, or every single female in Tom’s life? Or when you comment on Zendaya’s instagram telling her she is different now and that you don’t like her now because she’s changed for Jacob? Telling her that Jacob is going to cheat on her? Stop sending death threats to the partners, stop tagging their families in your ‘’evidence/proof’’ posts/tweets. Just because they don’t voice these things doesn’t mean they don’t read them. 

Being sincere, if you all, as a collective; really, genuinely cared about Tom, this is the last thing you would wanna pull. In your endless obsession with thinking you have a right to dictate the life of a man simply because he's famous; actually stopped once to consider how this is possibly making Tom and Zendaya feel?? You are basically sending the message that nobody is enough, that him being happy isn't enough, that he won't ever be allowed to be happy until he gets with the person YOU think is best for him. Fucking abhorrent, how they don't have a choice on who they choose to fucking love. This is how you make a celebrity jaded. THIS is how you make a celebrity hate you. And he will, unless you stop your bullshit, and treat him; and whoever he decides to be with, like human beings.

When you focus only on two people it’s easy to believe anything, try and see the bigger picture. Allow Zendaya and Tom to enjoy their lives without harassing them and their partners.

🙊 apparently some ifans of Lc hired a grp of private investigators to look into the allegations. Most of what was done was based on the online evidence presented by the accusers, so cyber investigation mostly. Not sure if you'd like to read it so I won't share the link to the article. Unless you've already seen it ofc.

Personally, I'm on the side of skeptical about the "debunking" in this article. But hey if someone here, either you or your readers/followers, has a more open-minded/rational take on this, on whether people should "trust" this article - by all means, I'll be happy to read it with an open mind.

I have a lot of opinions on this but that would be a long post so I’ll try and make this short.

I don’t believe it.

I will admit there were some interesting points, but I’m way too skeptical to believe it.

For op1 most things were based off assumptions like “oh they like this manga so that means ___” like ???? Okay that’s an opinion not a fact ?? And they just made a bold ass assumption that they’re a sasaeng or connected to them. Don’t say anything you don’t know for sure.

Unless I understood it wrong. I might need to go back and read it even if it kills me inside.

Also a lot of their “this was photoshopped” stuff was seen in the very beginning on twitter threads or similar to it.

We’ve seen a pattern of Lucas fans lying and faking evidence which makes me not believe this article 100%.

Give me proof you actually hired a private investigator.

It’s possible they photoshopped their evidence.

Literally anything is possible.

Also, I’ll say it again. They lied about the ring messages. Lucas didn’t ask her to buy it and she never claimed to have given it to him. He showed it to her and said winwin bought it for him. That alone loses the article’s credibility for me. (Unless I translated the messages wrong).

I feel like when talking about the weibo op’s, they didn’t do any real investigating compared to the Korean op. It’s like they just spent all their time on the Korean op and took twitter stuff for the Chinese op’s.
