Chapter 1 , Chapter 2, Chapter 3 , Chapter 4, Chapter 5 , Chapter 6.
Author's note: This story is based on the movie 'Night Hunter' . I do not own the characters in that movie. However in this chapter The characters are of my imagination.
This chapter is a poem. I tried hard to make it flow so please don't judge me to harshly.

Chapter 7
The Nursery Rhyme Killer
In the outskirts of town, where the darkness romes free. There lives a man where there used to be three.
A smart man, a surgeon, who was thought of highley. His wife, a teacher and their daughter named Reilly.
On the outside a family like any other. But not all is what it seems as we soon shall discover.
For one fateful night his worst fears came true, an accident occured right out of the blue.
His daughter was so hurt that she could not be saved. Her loss is what turned him so depraved.
Their baby girl ripped out of their lives this could not be. No longer they were a family of three.
The hurt and pain filled the empty space there was. Neither of them could cope with their loss.
The wife avoided the man because she could not bear to see the ways her husband tried to get them, again, be a family of three.
He was acting strange, she thought. Doing things behind her back. Never in her life did she expect him doing the things she caught him do in the act.
One day she came home and something was off, she could tell. No sign of her husband and then she heard a sound of something that fell.
Tumblr media
She followed the sound down to the basement and what she saw there filled her with horror and amazement.
For there was her husband sitting on a chair. Rocking back and forth his hands in his hair.
Hush little baby don’t say a word. Daddy's gonna buy you a mockingbird. And if that mockingbird won’t sing. Daddy’s gonna buy you a diamond ring.
She heard the song he sang to their daughter so many times. She remembered that he made sure that it rhymed.
But the tone of his voice was more a sound of sorrow and pain. Because he would never see his daughter again.
He stopped singing, he turned and locked eyes with his wife. And then she saw the most terrible thing in her life.
On the table next to the chair she saw the color of brown hair. Initially she thought it was a wig but as she looked further. There was also a body covered in blood and she heard a sound that was nothing but a murmur.
He followed her gaze and with pride in his voice. He explained that he had found a way to fix everything and that they could rejoice
“No longer my dear is it just you and me. Look, we again can be a family of three.”
He took her in his arms and gave her a hug. She froze completely right on the spot
“You are crazy," she whispered. And she repeated it over and over again.
“Our daughter is dead, she’ll never come back!”
And before she knew what was going on he hit her. Wack!!
He stood over her body, a cold stare in his eyes.
“I guess my love it’s time to say your goodbyes.”
He dragged her to the back of the basement where there was an incinerator.
Were tossed her in so no one could find out he was the perpetrator.
There was no remorse. He wasn’t even torn
And that was the day The Nursery Rhyme Killer was born

It's that time again! Tell me about some of your favorite blogs, why they are your favorite, and tag them to fill the dashboard with positivity and love!
a selection of some of my faves in no particular order, of course 💌
@heroesbyler — my wife, my dearest, and my mike. one of my first friends in this fandom and someone that i trust so much i'd give her my social security number if she asked. stav is super intelligent (in so many ways), kind, funny, thoughtful, brave, and observant. her analyses punch me in the tit and kill me dead. she speaks clearly and with conviction. she stays true to her beliefs and doesn't say or do things just to appease the masses, which is, for whatever reason, a rarity in this fandom. a lovely person inside and out, really and truly—her kindness and empathy blows me away, and makes my heart feel all fuzzy. my mom's a big fan based on what i've told her dfjdshb. a great blog to follow if you want to take a deeper look at the characters on our screens, not just will and mike, and how all of the themes, messages, and journeys in this show reinforce each other. also if you like to laugh. :')
@miwism — mal is the most creative person i've had the honor of meeting in this fandom. super kind, super funny, and super inventive. one of the very few people that have managed to make me laugh out loud—and not just once, but repeatedly. so many posts that i'll randomly remember months later and bust out into giggles over. best fics, best art, best posts, best ideas, and best additions to your posts, too. seriously, mal, i've secretly wondered if you've ever done improv before because your ability to take an idea and expand on it is just that great. i love them, i want to hug them, and if they asked me to drop everything on a thursday to go to publix with them, i would. idec if it'd take me hours to get there, i Would and it'd be worth it. 💚
@wiseatom — just thinking about her fics makes me tear up on the spot. i've cried after reading her work multiple times, even on rereads, because a) they were so good that i felt devastated that it was over, and b) i would never experience that magical First Time Reading feeling again. thea's just overall talented out the fucking wazoo—like, it's actually insane. she's a talented writer, a talented artist, a true creative, so eloquent, so charming, and such a delight. i could never meet her irl and keep my composure because i would just be on my fan behavior without a way to turn it off. she'd try to talk to me and i'd just be staring at her dreamily like this: 😍🥹😊🥰💕.
@sayyourprayers — if nobody got me, i know they got me. 🫂 even when i think i'm being sneaky, they still know exactly what i'm talking about, which i am choosing to believe is a part of our superior warriors bond as well as them being very smart, and not just me being as easy to read as a toddler book. they're very funny and very straightforward. no bullshit whatsoever. i always read their tags and replies, and find them to be really insightful and witty. they're another individual that has their own beliefs and interpretations and doesn't change them based on what's currently popular or not. i like that, because i personally hate when shit starts sounding like an echo chamber. overall, i just really love their blog! i always, always tune in to see what they have to say and i find myself smiling whenever i see them in my notes.
@googoogagaeyes — doozy's another real one. she describes herself in her intro post as a lover and a hater and i couldn't agree more (in the best way possible, of course). i think she has a very text-focused and holistic way of tackling the show: she talks about the good, the bad, and the neutral, which i find to be refreshing and desperately needed. i always read everything she writes, whether it's in the tags or in the post itself, and either learn something, laugh, or, as is usually the case, do both. speaking of which, her analyses are always to the point and written in such a way that the reader feels respected. she doesn't drone on or fluff it up, which i appreciate. super eloquent, intelligent, and funny. very much a necessary follow if you enjoy this show and excellent commentary tbh.
@alastyearonearth — alfreddddd ✋🥺 (<- me putting my hand on the screen like the wives of soldiers at war do in dramatic movies)....... oh, alfred. if there's anyone i'm normal about, it's him 👍 (lies) (biggest lie i've ever told in my life actually) (my pants are currently on fire right now) (🚒🧯👨‍🚒 <- they're here to put me out). i feel like my feelings for him and his blog can be summed up by the fact that when i realized we both went on vacation at around the same time, i was ecstatic because that meant i wouldn't miss his posts. bdfhjbsdkj. he's one of the biggest brains and most generally knowledgeable people here, and it rocks my world every time he says anything. he has an appreciation for canon and the real people whose stories are represented within it that this fandom sorely, and ironically, lacks. also, while i'm on my fan behavior right now, allow me to admit that i would go through his blog sometimes for months before i finally put on my big kid pants and followed him. i'm very much not beating the parasocial allegations and tbh i think it's understandable bc Hello !!!! look at him!!!! (gesticulates wildly in his and his posts' direction). 10/10 would ruin my sleep schedule for him, submit myself to the torture of a 24hr flight for him, go on a museum marathon together, and slather myself in superglue right before hugging him so that we're stuck together forever afterward. necessary follow for anyone that likes to not get pissed off when they log on and enjoys canon, esp will. alfred please can we hang out please alfred whenever you're free please if you'd like to hang out can we please hang out when you are free ple—
@motherthroat — you know that andrew garfield "(you didn't know me at thirteen) i really wish i had" quote? it applies here, because i so wish i'd met him last summer. liking canon will, mike, and byler used to be so lonely and frustrating, but now it isn't anymore and that's largely because of him. if you haven't caught on by now, i like following people that are very frank, and mori's no different. he's not afraid to be bold either. i love his art, his AUs, and his takes. he's funny, treats you the way you treat him, and has a great eye for aesthetics. well. a great eye in general, i think. not to get #deep (or repetitive), but i think he sees more than he lets on, and it really comes out in his art, his headcanons, his interpretations, and the way that he speaks to people. he remembers things and really ponders them. there's a kind of carefulness there that i admire as someone with as much grace as a bull in a china shop. just a cool cat, really.
@cosmobrain00 — MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAX! (screamed the same way that will screamed for mike on halloween night). they're literally so talented that it's not even funny anymore. like, their writing is next level and the fact that we can read it for free (wtf!!!!) feels like a crime. their art is so pleasing to look at and i love their style so much. their thoughts on this show and these characters are superb, too. so passionate, so kind, and so loving—and it shows in everything they do. it's always a good time whenever they decide to share their two cents and spit some divine wisdom on us plebs, so i definitely recommend everyone check them and their content out!
@drangues — arush is literally [starts snarling and hissing and snapping and howling at the moon and other cuteness aggression-related things]. sorry, i meant to say he's so bhjfbkdsjhfbdks grrrrrrrr bark bark bark awooooooooo. just unbelievable. unreal. the blueprint. he's my cousin and my friend and my son and my stinkie squishie and also my greatest enemy and bully (he's only consented to two of these, but they're still true). seriously... arush is SO funny. his headcanons are wonderful and #real, his artwork is insanely good and creative and colorful, he's so sweet and silly, and thoughtful and merciful, too. just !!!!!! squishing his face in all ways except physical right now. if you're not following arush drangues then you deserve to get sent straight to the scorpion pit, i feel.
@givehimthemedicine — effortlessly hilarious, kind, bright, and oh so talented in a variety of ways, both creatively and intellectually. and they have the nerve to make it look easy!! like wtf!!! they're also the most likely to drop the most insane observations ever and act like they didn't just change the trajectory of your life forever. pure insanity, i say. they're my favorite blog outside of the byIer bubble and their el's first haunted house post is easily in my top three and i still giggle over it.
@mikeandwillel — when sandy speaks, i listen and take notes. simple as that. a true mike understander and knower. she's posted wonderful analyses on many topics, all of which are super concise, text-based, and show a thorough understanding of storytelling. i love hearing her thoughts on this show and her interpretation of things. i'm especially excited to see what she thinks once we start getting s5 crumbs! oh, and she also posts great edits! :D
@aemiron-main — if loving em is wrong, then i don't wanna be right. if it becomes illegal tomorrow, then call me el because my ass is going to jail asap. he's one of the kindest, funniest, most genuine people on this website. he's always open to discuss things, look at them from a different angle, and share his knowledge. i can't even say that he treats people the way they treat him, because he treats them a lot better. if anything, he's extremely merciful and forgiving lol. he has a wealth of knowledge on a multitude of subjects, an extremely keen eye, and seemingly endless creativity / an open mind. literally a modern day sherlock, but much cooler. also very resilient and tough. and an outstanding artist, too! (what can't he do, sheeeesh!). he's written analyses on what feels like everything about the show at this point, so i'd definitely recommend going through those if you haven't already.

If it's not too much trouble, can you talk about Circe?
circe, the enchantress (asteroid 34)
definitely no trouble - that’s what this blog is for! don’t be shy - make your requests!
this is circe.
Tumblr media
Circe was the daughter of Helios (Titan of the sun) and Perse (an oceanid). If you have read The Odyssey by Homer, you know that she is casted in a villainous light for turning Odysseus’s crew into pigs. But really it’s their faults - Odysseus and company arrived on a desolate island, in doing so they looked around. When they discovered Circe’s house they invited themselves in (aw yes because that’s not rude - always announce when you are coming over). Eurylochus, Odysseus’s brother-in-law, sensed danger even after hearing her singing in the kitchen (no it wasn’t bad it was just eerie vibes). So he stays outside, while everyone waited indoors to eventually be received by the hostess (not that she knew they were coming *eye roll*). She offered them wine and when they began to drink, she pulled out her wand and turned her guests into pigs (minus Eurylochus, who is outside, and Odysseus, who stayed on the boat). She locked them all away in a sty. Eurylochus ran to Odysseus relaying what happened - at this, Odysseus decided to confront Circe. On the way to Circe’s, Odysseus received divine intervention - Hermes gave him a plant called moly (no relation lol) explaining this plant makes people immune to Circe’s magic. When Circe discovered that her magic had no effect on Odysseus, she saw him as brave and did as he requested (turned his crew into men again). Circe was in awe over him and pledged her devotion and love to him. As a result, Odysseus and company stayed on the island for a little over a year - Circe had three of Odysseus’s children but Odysseus went home to his mortal wife, Penelope. It was Circe and Odysseus youngest that accidentally killed Odysseus with a poisonous spear given to him by his mother. IN MY OPINION Circe in a chart can represent a) vengeful lovers, b) where/how people take you for granted, c) how manipulative or convincing you are, d) the area in life you tend to manipulate others, and/or e) magic or occult talent (my circe is in the 8h conjunct sun, moon, and mercury - makes sense why i am here writing (it’s also conjunct my qwerty asteroid) about asteroid astrology lol).
Tumblr media
i encourage you to look into the aspects of circe along with the sign, degree, and house placement. for the more advanced astrologers, take a look at the persona chart of circe AND/OR add the other characters involved to see how they support or impede circe!
OTHER RELATED ASTEROIDS: odysseus (1143), ulysses (5254) penelope (201), and hermes (69230)!
like what you read? leave a tip and state what post it is for! let me know if you want to see a specific mythical asteroid next! also would you like me to talk about how i use these other related asteroids to give more depth to the asteroid meanings (i.e. hermes is the person that betrays circe’s weakness to odysseus - hermes with harsh aspects towards circe can indicate a lot of betrayal in the house/area of life circe occupies)? i always say at the end of my posts “add the other characters involved to see how they support or impede ___” but no one has asked me to explain - just thought i would offer. i am willing to hear any and all recommendations or questions regarding the blog - as long as it is mythological asteroid astrology related ;)! use the “suggest a post topic” option on my blog page to let me know!
also thank you all for 100 followers - we passed that milestone this past monday! super exciting! you guys are the best - i’m just here furthering my knowledge of astrology alongside each and every one of you. it’s incredible to see so many take an interest before the one month milestone of posting :) thank you for all the support!

That's my girl
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Iceman x Dragon
Of course I'm getting in on my own celebration! And who better to celebrate with than Iceman! 🥰💕
♡♡♡
Rachael was sitting at the bar. Her feet swinging back on forth as she sits on a stool. In front if her was a notebook. She was writing way in it, completely oblivious to the world around her. Many of the pages had been filled up, and she was still going.
So busy focusing on what she's writing, she doesn't even notice Penny who has walked past her several time, or Spicy who has come and gone from the question twice. She notices Iceman entering even less so.
Ice smiles as he sees his wife hunched over the bar working. She's always writing stuff down for her favourite pass time. He loves knowing she has a hobby she's so dedicated to. He walks up to her slowly.
Penny smiles when she sees Ice approaching. She turns on her heels on leaves the bar for a bit, knowing full well Rachael had no idea he was here.
Ice coughs into his fist.
Rachael jumps in her seat. She looks up, turning around and gasps sharply when she sees who is standing over her.
"Oh my God! You scared me half to death!"
Ice chuckles and places a comforting hand on her back as he sits down on the stool next to her. She takes a deep breath and relaxes.
"You're early."
He smiles softly. "I finished up early so I could be here with you," he tells her. Rachael smiles softly at him.
"Aw!"
Tom kisses her side of her head and then looks down at the book she was writing in.
"More ideas?" He grins.
Rachael places her hand over the book to stop him from reading.
"Hey! No peeking!"
Ice chuckles softly.
"Why not? You let me read your stuff before."
"This is different."
"How so?"
Rachael avoids his gaze, looking down at her hand while she speaks. "That silly little blog I have is coming up to a huge milestone in followers. Way more than I thought would care about some silly little stories."
"Hey, those silly little stories make the difference in someone's day. People wait to see what you've written next and enjoy it. They're important."
"If you say so."
"I do," he tells her. "I love reading your little stories."
Rachael glances up at him and then back at the book as she moves her hand away. Ice turns his eyes back to the page she was writing on and sees a few words that catch his attention. Rachael slides the book across the bar toward her husband and he reads it properly.
"Wait a minute..."
Rachael bites her bottom lip softly while she waits for his reaction.
"These notes... these are all things we've done," he says, looking back up at her.
Rachael turns a few pages back in the notebook. Tom can see that she had written a lot of notes based on their life. His name comes up a lot and he can't help looking at her as if she were this only person in the world right now.
"It's all for my blog. What better way time celebrate my writing achievements than to celebrate our life together through them? The story of a cool and collected admiral and clumsy but entertaining wife," Rachael chuckles.
Tom laughs softly as he gazes at her.
"We have done so many incredible things together, be just us or with our all our incredible friends. I want to share those experiences with others. I want people to know who and what inspires me. I want my husband to know that I look up to him every day, and I'm so very proud of him. I want him to know I love him very much and without him, none of this would have been possible."
Iceman smiles proudly at Dragon.
"I'm very proud if you too. I love you very much," he says to her.
Rachael smiles softly, biting lightly on her lower lip. "Here's to my blog and our future together!" She cheers.
Tom leans in and steals a kiss.
"That's my girl!"
Rachael chuckles softly and waves Penny down for a drink. Tom and Rachael spend the rest of the evening in there looking over the notebook. They talk about their favourite memories and all their dear friends.
They celebrate each other and thank their lucky stars they ever crossed paths. None if this would have been possible otherwise.
♡♡♡

If T@ylor goes after Buck; both Bobby & Eddie will go after T@ylor
Revenge seems to be the backdrop for T@ylor's ethical conflict in 5x17 and 5x18 and while her goal is to take down the whole 118, she's specifically targeting Buck, Bobby and Eddie.  KNOW THIS: T@ylor is a sociopath and she's pissed about the fact that Buck's found family has reconciled. Remember she's all alone because her dad killed her mom; therefore she was clinging to Buck like he was clinging to her.  Everyone is back at the 118 except for Eddie but he was there fighting the Dispatch Center fire in 5x16 at Buck's side just like he used to be.
Since Buck doesn't have to cling to her anymore, (hindsight to 5x13 "Fear O Phobia" when Buck told Maddie he was 'clinging' to her), she's reverting back to the B!+&@ she was in 2x6 "Dosed" who will do anything for a story.  She realized in "May Day" when the whole 118 was walking out of Dispatch arms linked that her time of clinging to Buck was over.  That's why she approached L#cy; she was warning her to leave the 118 before T@ylor attempts to destroy the 118 with whatever revenge plot she has planned.
Her goal is to take down the 118 but more specifically she's targeting Bobby and Buck. In yesterday's blog post titled "Breaking News: T@ylor Ke!!y is a Liar" and one of last week's posts titled "Buck just remembered the real T@ylor Ke!!y"; these points were included.  Key points:  While the majority of the audience has been focused on the "kiss" between Buck and L#cy from 5x11 "Outside Looking In" being the catalyst for the BT breakup, only a few people have noticed how T@ylor's personality has been OOC for the entirety of season 5.  In one episode she's a detective, then a doting girlfriend, then a journalist, then a Power Ranger, one of the Pod People or a Stepford Wife😕😕😕.  The only logical explanation for this is one that follows the narrative dots that connect to a revenge plot.
If she goes after Buck in any way shape or form, she better watch her back because, in 5x16 "May Day", Bobby said "you mess with my kid you mess with me" (foreshadowing because if she messes with Buck, she'll be messing with Bobby).  Everyone knows Bobby is Buck's pseudo dad and he will fight for him just like when he entered the Dispatch fire to get May out. He risked his own life for her and he will do the same for Buck because he won't lose anymore of his kids.  He lost his whole family in Minnesota and please believe he won't let that happen again.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
If she hurts Bobby, then she better get ready for a fight because Buck will lose it.  He's already almost lost Bobby too many times in the past, 2x6 "Dosed", 3x9 "Fallout" and 5x16 "May Day". Buck was in a daze in 5x16 watching Bobby while Hen was checking him over.  In 3x9, Buck told Bobby "I know I do dumb things sometimes and I generally drive you crazy. But you're an important person in my life Bobby; one of the most important. And I don't know what I would do if anything were to happen to you" (foreshadowing for anyone including T@ylor if they try to hurt Bobby).  Buck said he didn’t know what he would do, well the audience is about to find out.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Eddie already hates T@ylor and he figured out she was a BS artist way back in 2x6.  He can't stand her guts and the look he gave her in 5x11 was like 'if you don't get your trifling @$$ out of my house right now...🤪🤪🤪🤪'.
Tumblr media
If she messes with Buck while Christopher's around, it will be curtains for her.  She better not mess with the family Eddie chose.  She was finally ok with Buck and Eddie's relationship after 5x10 "Wrapped in Red" because Eddie left the 118.  But in 5x16 she saw him in some turnout gear walking on Bobby's left side with Buck on Bobby's right side and she realized it's over now because Buck was standing next to his dad with the love of his life on his other side🙃🙃🙃🙃.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
So to throw Buck off of her revenge plan she stepped to L#cy while she was in Buck's line of sight so that he would see them talking.  He had no idea what they were saying but she wanted him to think it was about the kiss.  It wasn't.  That was a warning and L#cy missed it.  L#cy wasn't around in 2x6 so she doesn't know anything about T@ylor’s failed news story on the 118.
Tumblr media
Finally the dumpster fire that is still season 5 is about to get good, especially when Buck finally ends his dead relationship with T@ylor and sends her and her belongings packing. Let’s get ready to rumble.

Sh*t the Bed
I’ve been following this Johnny Depp/Amber Heard situation since 2016 and it’s wild to see how far it’s come. This defamation trial is really exposing Heard’s absolute awfulness to the entire world. Cats who used to staunchly be in this dizzy b*tch’s corner, are bailing in droves. The rats are abandoning the ship. Musky hasn’t said sh*t about his Unicorn on his newly minted Twatter. James Franco opted not to testify on her behalf after that video of him with an overnight bag, heading into Johnny’s apartment for the weekend, was shown during the trial. Every witness and deposition testimony is saying the exact same thing: Johnny was never the aggressor or abuser, it was always Amber Heard. Now, for me? This is sh*t I've always known. I’ve know for years that Amber Heard is a violent psychopath and my confidence in that assertion stems from the fact that she told us so, herself.
Long before Johnny had his midlife crisis and decided to stick his wick into a beehive of nutso, I enjoyed looking at Amber Heard. Ma is wildly attractive. She riddles this blog because, and i cannot stress this enough, she is f*cking gorgeous. I know that. I admit. I don’t begrudge Cap’n Jack bailing on his family to get a piece of that. However, i knew Amber was damaged goods. I didn’t know what happened to her but i was sure it happened when she was a kid. That level of anger, that level of aggression, that sh*t runs deep and so does Heard’s resume of violence.Years before she was Mrs. Depp, Amber had beaten up a girlfriend in the Seattle Airport or some sh*t. I remember that happening. I remember TMZ flashing arrest records. Around that time, i remember hearing a clip on the radio of Amber basically saying that she’s from Texas and they solve problems with their fists out there. When she started talking about Johnny beating her, i was like, “Nah.”
Depp has experienced trauma in his life. It’s why he does drugs and stays weird. We learned a lot of those triggers during this trial but i was privy to most of them beforehand. I knew Johnny was very devoted to his mother. I knew he was a very sweet man. I knew he had issues with suicide and death because of certain people in his life. I knew when he started dating Amber that it would end terribly. I did not anticipate “sh*t in a bed and a severed finger” terrible. It was bizarre to me that so many people piled on Depp and believed in Heard’s lies when it was so very obvious she was full of sh*t. Well, not full. She left a good amount in Depp’s bed but you know what i mean. This chick was notoriously awful to people in her circle, even before this slander of Johnny, and everyone just assumed she a was a victim. Like, word? Have you been paying attention?
Depp has been in the industry for, like, four decades and, with the exception of maybe Kate Moss, no one has ever had a real problem with this dude but he’s a violent abuser? Jack Sparrow? The man who still dresses up as the Captain of the Black Pearl to bring joy to kids in the hospital even though the Mouse House fired him and most definitely threatened legal action for infringing upon their intellectual property? That guy? He brought scarves and scones to the people waiting for him, friend or foe, outside of the Sun trial, man. You expect me to believe that THIS dude beat up Amber Heard? Regularly? Repeatedly? And not the other way around? Like, is it really a stretch that the b*tch with a record for domestic abuse, is a lying abuser? Isn’t that what abusers do? Gaslight and deceive their victims? Well, Amber Heard gaslit the entire goddamn country for six years. Not so much anymore.
The entire country got to hear the audio i heard years ago. They got to hear Amber admit, in her own voice, that she beats Johnny, that she just gets SO mad when he “runs”. Johnny qualifies this, too, stating he splits so he doesn’t “smack the wife.” Amber calls him weak for this. Johnny is weak because he won’t hit her back. Right there, Depp won his case. Heard admits he runs from the conflict. It frustrates her when he does so. If he runs, then he’s not hitting you and if he doesn’t hit you, then you lied about being hit, right? Those lies have damaged Depp’s reputation. They have defamed him. That one tape proves his case. Everything else? Icing on the cake exposing how toxic and rancid and cruel and disgusting Amber Heard is as a whole person. She literally ridiculed him for letting her abuse him. Told him to tell the world that he, Johnny Depp, was being abused by her, Amber Heard. So he did. That’s what this trial is. F*ck a defamation suit. F*ck a hundred million dollar payout. F*ck all of that. Depp is telling the world that Amber Heard abused him for years and she deserves to be held accountable for those sh*tty actions. I’ve been team Depp since the very beginning of this sh*tshow and now, with how much is coming out in this trial, it’s really hard for anyone else not to be, especially if you were supporting this lying tramp before. If you still carry a torch for Amber Heard, that’s fine. B*tch is hot. I get it. Maybe she can sue you next, after ruining your life and career, yeah?

Comedy Playhouse: Elementary, My Dear Watson
Tumblr media
I'm not sure how this blog post is going to turn out and think it might be rather different to my usual style because the TV programme I'm writing about is radically different from most of the TV shows I have ever watched.
Don't be taken in by the fact this play was broadcast in 1973 under the Comedy Playhouse title. This show is of course a national institution, initially being started in 1961 largely as a vehicle for Galton and Simpson before ending 128 episodes later in 1975. It's unusual for a show of the time because you can see many of its episodes: there are some on the internet but they're also found scattered across the boxed sets of the shows it spawned as independent productions: Steptoe and Son, Meet the Wife, Till Death us do Part, All Gas aqnd Gaiters, Up Pompeii, Not in Front of the Children, The Liver Birds, Are You Being Served and Last of the Summer Wine. This show has spun off an incredible amount of television for one series.
Clearly we're in legendary TV territory already but what elevates Elementary, My Dear Watson above the already great stable it came from was that it was written by NF Simpson. He was a playwright who identified with the Theatre of the Absurd, which built on Albert Camus's idea that human existence is essentially abusrd, and devoid of purpose (britannica.com). The way this came out in their theatre was that they tended to get rid of plot, they abandoned the traditional structures of theatre. You will readily see that once again I am punching well above my weight, writing about this show. There isn't much of Simpson's work available to be seen because he was writing right in the middle of key TV junking time, although apparently he wrote the scripts for two episodes of The Dick Emery Show, which may or may not available. Possibly the other most available of his work is One Way Pendulum (1964) in which amongst other things, one character builds a reproduction of the Old Bailey in his front room and Jonathan Miller conducts a choir of Speak Your Weight Machines. You can tell that Elementary My Dear Watson is incredibly highbrow because of its being prominently featured by the British Film Institute.
The way Simpson's approach comes out in Elementary My Dear Watson is that you will be hard pressed to follow the plot, if indeed there is one. His style requires around short scenes, and non-sequiturs: if you haven't seen any of his work I think you would probably like this if you like Monty Python. It's a show which requires careful attention, because you easily miss some small twist and find yourself wondering what is going on. There are two main plots going on at once. There is a further theme where Jack the Ripper keeps ringing up Scotland Yard to confess but they've never heard of him. Fu Man Chu wants the main exhibit, a dead solicitor. In the middle another dead solicitor appears as the object in a spoof object of Call My Bluff. There is a further theme involving a piano tuner in drag, which is stated to be used because otherwise the show wouldn't fill the time. To cut a long story short: the ingredients of a Sherlock Holmes adventure and other Victorian adventures are mixed up a bit, moved to 1973, and given a coat of surrealism.
As you can tell, I love this show, could watch it over and over and think it's absolutely marvellous. There is another aspect which is wonderful, though, and that was casting John Cleese as Sherlock Holmes. Basil Rathbone and Benedict Crumblysnatch can just give up now because I have to say that Cleese is the Holmes we have been waiting for. Imagine the energy of Basil Fawlty applied to Sherlock Holmes, perfectly foiled by Willy Rushton as Watson, and you have the idea. There's another opportunity to watch Cleese as Holmes (or rather a descendant) in the similarly absurd The Strange Case of the End of Civilisation as We Know It (1979), which I think is also best understood as a series of sketches.
I'm not going to beat about the bush, reading the commentary online it is apparent that a small amount of Simpson's work goes a long way for a lot of people. If you want me to criticise this show I would have to say that the main problem as far as I can see is to wonder what this masterpiece of absurd theatre is doing in a comedy slot, because it's way above being a simple comedy.
I think, though, that if you watch it as what it is and don't expect a simple comedy, it had layers of absurdity which are incredibly enjoyable.

Cyberbullying, and the Story of “B”
I have been cyber-bullied, or whatever you would classify arguing with a complete stranger you have never met. Cyberbullying is something you allow to happen to yourself. You google your name and you visit the profiles of someone who wants to hurt your feelings. You feel attacked so you attack back. Cyberbullying is silly and it can be ignored, making it a waste of time for everyone. The reason people write insulting things online has everything to do with how they feel about themselves.
Cyberstalking is different, though just as pointless. There is no reason you need to know anything about someone you’ve never met unless you’re forging a relationship with them. If you have to spend a considerable amount of time on google, trying to figure out where someone lives, where they work, and who their friends are, you are cyberstalking them. Regardless of why you felt you needed to know this information.
When I was young I wanted to learn how to code, but I had no idea how to, so I copied others website layouts and altered the CSS/HTML to make it into my own. As an adult I understand how wrong I was and I would never do this again. But at the time I was very young, stupid, and quite stubborn. I apologized to the people I wronged, moved on, and assumed everyone else did too. But what I didn’t know was that someone was watching. Let’s call that person B.
B was from Tulsa, Oklahoma. She ran numerous websites where she pretended to be everything she was not, a mother, a wife, a musician, a drug addict, a cancer survivor, etc… She ran these websites for years, from 1999 – 2014, approximately. B was dedicated in her journey to live a fake life on the Internet and she was surprisingly believable (using stolen photos of a woman she went to high school with and photos of her children) and she acquired many followers over the years. She was also a notorious cyberstalker, having created thousands of websites about hundreds of innocent people.
I was unaware that B had been watching me for years. She obsessed over every detail of my life. She became persistent in her intent to ruin my reputation. She created websites and blogs where she posted awful and untrue things about me, things no normal person would say, things I refuse to speak about here. She gained access to my social media accounts, contacted my university and later on my employer. She seemed to know everything about me. She knew when I was working as a photographer in Alberta, a burlesque dancer in Toronto and when I was going to school in my hometown.
B had collected screenshots of my Deadjournal account dating back to 2003. She had screenshots of my brothers Deadjournal from 2003. She had screenshots of the first website I made in 2004. She had screenshots of my old 2005 Myspace profile. She had screenshots of my 2009 Facebook account. She had screenshots of a photography website I ran in 2010. She had screenshots of emails I sent in 2012. She had screenshots of my 2013 Instagram profile. She had screenshots of my partners tweets from 2013. B dedicated her life to trying to ruin mine.
Eventually I realized she was responsible for the majority of the cyberbullying, creating hate sites and hate listings about me while also creating fake websites in my name where she posted horrendous things, and people believed every word of it, attributing these awful comments to me. I suddenly had enemies I had never heard of, let alone spoke to.
Fortunately she wasn’t very clever, or maybe she was and I was just the first person willing to find out who she was. I browsed her Flickr profile and saw that the name on her prescription bottles didn’t match the name she used on her website. When looking up that name on Facebook I came across the profile of a woman whose photos were on B’s Flickr profile. I used a facial recognition tool to find out who the other photos B was using belonged to. As it turns out, she was using photos of a woman she went to high school with and had been pretending to be her for years.
After finding out who B really was I discovered hundreds of hate sites she created about other people dating back to as early as 1999. Blogger accounts, WordPress blogs, actual websites, and social media accounts. B wasted 25 years of her life to hating people she never met, people who were living normal lives, just trying to find peace and happiness like everybody else. People she deemed bad, or annoying, or people who had wronged her in some way.
B died of a heart attack in 2014. Sometimes I question her death and wonder if she really died, because she was so good at lying, but I understand that’s probably my trauma clouding rational thought. There’s no denying she had a very serious (and probably untreated) mental illness, and I’m very sorry for that. I understand she was bullied a lot in school and I’m very sorry for that too. She didn’t deserve to be bullied, and neither did her victims.
It’s a shame that B had no one in her life who cared enough to help her. She clearly had a flair for writing, and she could have made a nice life for herself if she hadn’t let her need for revenge get in the way. I do hope that wherever she is, she’s happy. And I’m happy to finally be rid of her and able to live my life freely without constantly looking over my shoulder. – K

Dennis Sprouse
Dennis Sprouse 67, of Amarillo TX stepped from this earth to his eternal home June 12, 2023.  Dennis was born to William “Bill” D. Sprouse and Rutha B. Sprouse February 26, 1956, in Oklahoma.
Dennis was a man that enjoyed the simplicity of life, family and friendship. He was a man of few words, but when he spoke, he spoke with intentionality. A sign painter by trade, his skill and giftedness to letter and pinstripe just about everything allowed him to not only travel the country painting race cars, boats, semi-trucks and anything else someone would want a touch of custom artwork on, it allowed him to build friendships with people from every walk of life, known as “Brush master” by many he had a following that stretched far beyond the Texas panhandle, he has been described as a local legend in the area, especially in the many car and motorcycle clubs and individuals that had the privilege to have his handy work done on their vehicle, during those paint session he would share stories of hard lessons learned, special moments he encountered with people, he was full of great wisdom. If Dennis called you friend, you had a friend for life. After many years of as he would say “Ramblin around” he met and married the Love of his life Nancy, and for the next 30 years they shared a love that many could only dream of, he would say everything I do I do for “momma” as he lovingly referred to Nancy.
Dennis was preceded in death by his parents William and Rutha Sprouse, one sister Dorothy Whiteside, and his beloved wife Nancy Sprouse.
Dennis is survived by his sisters Theresa Shirley, Mary Butler, Deborah Switzer, Brenda Raven; his children Charo Dee La Rosa, Deborah Moore, Shauna Castro, David Kinzer; one stepson Robert Burton and wife Darlene; multiple grandchildren, great- grandchildren and many, many friends.
Celebration of life service will be held Tuesday June 27th at 10:00 am @ Thompson Park Picnic Area #24.
The family requests that you bring your vehicles Dennis painted.

It wasn’t easy being all alone without your other half, but you managed to fill up your day with fun and responsibilities to take your mind off it. The women at the office missed their husbands immensely, just like yourself, so it was good that you all took comfort in one another. It was good to talk with them about the shared feelings of fear and uncertainty that came with the men going off to war.
The office work that was ordinarily boring to you became very interesting as your bosses ordered you around. At home, you had organized your various pieces of literature more times than what was necessary. You couldn’t either count how many times you’ve gone “I missed a spot” on the kitchen counter when it was nothing there in reality.
When there was nothing at home to do, you called up your girlfriends, hoping they would be willing to go out on the town. The few times they were up for it, you forgot all about the hurt inside as you danced the night away with your best friends.
Bucky's parents could come and go as they pleased. Your house was their house; whenever they wanted to drop by, they could. On the weekends, they would invite you home to their residence for dinner and drinks. It was sweet of them to ask you. You already had a strong relationship with them that only increased with you spending more time with your parents-in-law.
The stories they would tell you about James growing up in Indiana with his siblings were stored in your memories to use late at night when you couldn’t sleep. Those thoughts would turn into dreams and scenarios of him and your child that you would hopefully get pregnant with soon.
On the few occasions his parents and your girlfriends had other plans, you sat mostly inside staring at one spot on the wall. The book by your side would only be read a few pages before it was placed to the side again so you could continue gawking at the flower patterns on the wall.
That’s how you were sat now. The television was on, but you weren’t paying attention to the boring movie you had watched countless times playing on the screen. You decided that you would write another letter to James. Writing letters to your husband and receiving letters from him was the thing that brought you joy and was the closest you could come to him for the time being. Picking up the pen and paper, the words flowed easily as you wrote.
~~~~~~~~~~
Tumblr media
My Dearest,
I feel I must write you again altho there is not much news to tell you from the last time I wrote. Work is keeping me busy, while your parents’ comfort and the fun my girlfriends are bringing keeps me content. I dreamt last night my husband. I dreamt about a child. Our child. A child that will bring us love and joy in the future.
I miss you terribly, my love. I miss the warmth from your touch as we are tangled in the sheets together. I miss the softness of your voice as the words whispered in my ear are meant for me only. I miss your laugh filling up the house that feels so empty now without you. I miss you. There is nothing more that I desire in life but to have you with me constantly.
I wonder how you are getting along, my love. I shall be so relieved to get a letter from you. I can’t help feeling a bit anxious for you, my dear. Thinking about what you are going through in the gruesome war overseas. I pray to whatever higher power exists for you to survive and come home to me in my arms.
Well, my husband, my brave soldier, I don’t know what more to say now, so I will finish this letter with fondest love and kisses from your wife.
I love you the most. From yours truly,
xoxo
~~~~~~~~~~
You sealed up the envelope containing your love letter for your husband, your other half, your soul mate, and hoped that it would bring him a hint of delight in his usual dark, empty and deadly war days.
Somewhere in hostile Germany…
With barely enough sleep from the night before, Bucky rested his eyes for the few minutes they had before it was out on another day of fighting the opposition. The faint sound of bombs dropping was heard in the distance. His heart started pumping in both fear and excitement to be out there again.
As his eyes were closed, he sat and wondered what his wife was up to at the moment. You were most likely at work. What would you have for dinner later? Something good, he hoped. It would at least be ten times better than what he ate for breakfast, soggy bread with a slice of cheese on top.
His mouth watered at the thought of a homemade meal from you right now. You always made the tastiest and fulfilling dinners.
What were you doing after? Out with your girlfriends? Were his parents coming to visit? Either way, he hoped you had the most beautiful time being as carefree as you always were.
When the darkness came, and it was time for bed, what would you be doing? Had the day been exhausting that you dropped dead on the covers as soon your head hit the pillow, or would you stay up and think about him?
His mind started racing to you, touching yourself dead at night while you remembered the last time the two of you were intimate. The thought about you moaning his name so softly and innocently had him adjusting himself in the seat.
Not now, Buck. We have to leave soon. There’s no time for that now.
“BARNES! Post for you.”
Once he had the letter in hand, he immediately knew it was you from the little drawing you drew on the envelope. You always did some form of artwork on it that had his heart warm up.
A single tear ran down his cheek after finishing the heartwarming letter. He could never fully express to you and his parents how these letters had saved him when he needed it the most. When he had thought about ending it all after watching the inhumane things he had witnessed that no human should ever have to see, the pieces of love from you and his family were what kept him going.
There was still some time left before they had to go out to war again. So he took that chance at writing a reply to his wife.
~~~~~~~~~~
Tumblr media
My Darling,
Thank you for the heartwarming letter. It found me well in the time when I needed it the most. I so long to be close to you. Trust my love that I do not forget you. I am doing everything in my power so that these few lines reach you.
I am happy to hear that you are keeping yourself busy with work, friends, and family. I’m jealous.
I miss you terribly, my love. If only we could be together soon. I’d give anything to be back in the comfort of your arms. To be tangled in the sheets together. To feel you wrapped so tightly around me in all the ways possible. To hear your laugh that fills my heart with warmth and butterflies. Soon my love, soon.
A child? I’ll give you as many children as you want when I return safely to you. We will buy a big house out in the countryside to raise our children and grow old if that’s what my wife desires.
The war? I don’t know what there is to say? I won’t sugarcoat it. The war is brutal and gruesome. It is something I don’t even wish upon my worst enemy to experience the things I’ve seen and gone through. Don’t be alarmed, my love, by the words you just read. As long as I have you in my mind, I can make it through the days and nights.
There is not much more for the time being to write to you. Just know that I am coming back to you after the terrible war is over.
I love you the most. From your brave soldier,
xoxo
~~~~~~~~~~
He sealed it up in an envelope, and he once again hoped that this wouldn’t be the last letter he ever wrote to you.
A few weeks later…
You waited anxiously out on the steps of your home for the postman to arrive. Legs were bouncing up and down in anticipation if today was the day a new letter from James would arrive.
“Morning, ma’am,” the postman nodded at you. By now, he knew very well who you were as he would find you most days waiting for him to bring you the mail.
“I believe this is yours.” He handed you a single letter. A smile on his face once he saw the excitement on yours when you realize it was from your husband.
“Thank you, George.”
“Have a wonderful day, Y/N.” “You too.”
You opened it right there on the steps. There was no time to walk a few meters into the house to read it.
You took the time to read the lines on the paper written by your love. Sadness came over you as you read the part about war, but a smile was left on your lips nonetheless after you had read the whole thing a few times over.
You clutched it to your heart. To try and feel that extra bit of love that radiated off it. A few tears rolled down your cheeks.
Soon my love. Soon you will be back safe and sound in my arms again.

I've been reading through a lot of radfem blogs and posts lately. and gotta say, i'm leaning a lot towards radical feminism. And im definitely gender critical.
but one topic I want to talk about in particular is the criticism of Islam.
Which I feel is totally valid considering the current state of mainstream islam and Muslims.
Mainstream Islam (is what you see on all social media, seemingly practised by a lot of Muslims) IS sexist. And homophobic. There's no use denying it, neither do I think I'm a bad Muslim for not supposedly defending my own religion. You have to recognise the flaws in your own system to improve and progress.
Then arises the question why am I still Muslim then/ why do I still practise Islam? If I recognise the way it is practised is sexist and homophobic, which are things I'm against?
The difference lies in my belief that "mainstream Islam" is much different from the root of Islam.
Many (read: a LOT, not all) modern Muslims have been influenced by ultra conservative movements that want to return Islam to the way they believe was practised during the time of the Prophet (pbuh), ie; some centuries back. This is propagated by the ideas of Salafism and Wahhabism that frankly, prevent progress, reform or any sort of growth in Muslim communities.
I personally have witnessed this in my own country, India, where women are increasingly wearing the hijab and even full body covering purdahs, not talking to the opposite gender, men not looking a woman other than their wives in the eye, etc compared to when my mother was a child, when almost all Muslim women dressed in normal comfortable clothes and there were no much gender segregations. (Gender segregation still existed to a certain degree due to conservative Indian culture ofc)
This radicalisation led to the development of ultra conservative Muslims who enforce sexist, homophobic and separatist policies in the name of God.
They claim to want to return to "true Islam" but they add so many unnecessary rules and regulations you have to follow in order to be a "true Muslim" that are almost so impossible to follow I can vouch I have unconciously broken like 50 of them in one day maybe. These "laws" are derived from:
1. The hadith
2. Arab culture
3. Poor translation of the Quran to fit these radical ideals.
Explaining each of these in a little more detail,
1. A lot of practising Muslims might come at me for this one, but I feel that considering the hadith to be a holy source of guidance and believing everything in the Hadith when there are so many contradictions and logical fallacies, is foolish.
For those who have no clue what the hadith is, Islam basically has the Qur'an, which is, as we believe, a holy book revealed by God to the Prophet (pbuh), which acts as divine guidance on how to live life as a good person. It has rules, suggestions, and guidance to take desicions on a lot of everyday matters we face. It was a godsend (hehe pun fully intended) to women, who weren't even allowed to own property back then. Muslims believe that the Quran is guaranteed againt corruption by God, as revealed in one of the verses. Therefore, to a believer, it is THE book to consult, and the verses will never change, no matter how many years pass. There's actually a really interesting way the Quran is coded, so people can know if it has been tampered with or not, if anyone is interested. But the bottom line is, for a Muslim, the verses of Quran cannot be challenged. There are various INTERPRETATIONS of said verses, but the core Arabic text is the same.
Now there is a secondary source of guidance in the form of Hadith, which is literature that claims to record things the Prophet (pbuh) has said in his lifetime. The problem I find, along with other hadith critics, is that it was compiled much later after the death of the Prophet. Muslims argue that these hadiths were passed down in a proper recorded chain of transmitters that can assure the message hasn't been altered or tampered with. The problem is, that the standard used then was just how reliable was a person's memory and how trustworthy they were, and they did not actually judge the actual content of the hadith. So even if a hadith hypothetically said "Kill all the disbelievers", (which, fyi, it does NOT) and it had a reliable chain of recorders, it would be accepted as "sahih" (trustworthy) hadith, even though it clearly goes against the guidelines of the Quran, where it says there shall be no compulsion in religion (which implies you cannot just murder anyone who refuses to believe/ believes another religion). If one actually examined the content of this imaginary hadith, it would be easy to see it's tampered with by people with or without malicious intent (for eg, it might've actually been "You can kill the disbelievers ONLY if they attack you and will not leave you and your family alone") or some may not even remotely be the words of the Prophet, as he only followed the Quran.
Also, the integrity of the Hadith isn't guaranteed by God anywhere in the Quran. To know more about this, I suggest you read this link , and this one.
So yeah, I take hadith with a (large) grain of salt. So I will not be including them in my discussion obviously.
Now a lot of these hadith have been fabricated, as established, or reflect something that was applicable specifically in that time and setting, seeing that the Prophet was an ordinary man who couldn't predict the future or know about all the different cultures of the world.
So even if the headscarf was a part of Arabian attire, that doesn't mean it has to be assimilated into our cultures now. Just because prostitutes used to pluck all their eyebrows out to signify that they are prostitutes (sex work is forbidden in Islam, because of the negative impact on women and society), doesn't mean that women are not allowed to pluck their eyebrows now.
Following these hadith blindly without considering for a moment that hey, these might be outdated, seeing it isn't meant for all time periods like the Quran, and half of these contradict themselves, maybe we shouldn't consider this as an authority on rules in Islam. Personally, I don't believe anything is forbidden that is mentioned as such solely in the Hadith, and not in the Quran.
But the staunch belief in all of these Hadith leads to micromanaging of women, and literally everyone else. Few ridiculous examples include:
women can't pluck their eyebrows
men can't wear silk or gold, and they need to grow beards
music and dance is forbidden (seriously???)
the Prophet married a literal child of nine years (no do not try to justify it as "it was acceptable back then". According to the Qur'an it wasn't. Girls had to be mature enough to reject or agree to marriages and literal children can't do that. There is plenty of research to prove that Aisha (ra), his wife, was at the very least 19 or 20. Again a case of unreliable and maybe purposefully manipulated Hadith. Scholars and people who uphold the theory that Aisha was 9, and hence, child marriage is legal are pedophiles through and through)
I feel that if anything, hadith should be considered with the authority of historical commentary, giving us more context to the times, and should never be blindly trusted just because a lot of scholars say it is a "sahih" (trusted) hadith.
Also a main feature of Islam is that you don't need an extra priest (no offence to religions who have priests) or a scholar to tell you things and intervene with God for you. You have a holy book, your own common sense and humanity, and you pray to establish a connection with God. Scholars are secondary OPINIONS who can provide insight from their knowledge and research to people who want it, but by no means any authority on things, just like hadith.
2. Arab culture and society, especially back the times that radicals want to emulate, was heavily patriarchal. Islam gave women rights and protection, but they were still limited by the cultural norms of that era.
What these people actually want is to return society to Arabic culture in that time period. (Exhibit A: the abaya/purdah for women and khandoorah for men. exhibit B: sex-segregated spaces)
Back then, women were expected to be caretakers and mothers, and men were expected to be the strong masculine protector.
Enforcing said cultural norms into modern day Islam is ridiculous. Saying that women rarely left the house back then, hence women shouldn't leave their houses now is the same as saying there weren't phones back then, so I shouldn't use one now. Would you ever give up your phones? So how about we do the same to women's autonomy and freedom? Adapt to modern times like regular humans?
If women were meant to stay at home, and meant to just rear children, and never meant to be seen in public, and never meant to be seen by the opposite sex, as extremists say "is God's will", then why is none of this found in the Quran? Do you seriously believe that God, describe multiple times as All-forgiving and generous and kind, would ever persecute women to such a fate? If you do believe that, then maybe you need to re-examine in the nature of God that you believe in. Also if you tell me the "it's for their safety" gimmick, I will flip out. It has been proved multiple times that a woman's dressing has nothing whatsoever to do with why men rape.
Sure, Islam advocates for modesty in dressing, for both sexes. Both are called to not stare rudely (many Muslim men seem to forget that part of the verse, strangely), both are advised to dress in modest, comfortable, clean and practical attire. Never once is anything remotely like "YOU'LL GO TO HELL IF YOU EXPOSE YOUR ELBOW, WOMAN". But the way modern Muslims enforce the dress code (some even going to the lengths of saying women shouldn't wear BRIGHT COLOURED CLOTHES, so as to not attract attention!!! I'm looking at you, Mufti Menk), you'd think that God says something much worse than that. Infact God pulls out Uno reverse, and encourages us to dress as beautifully as we want, especially when visiting the mosque.
3. A lot of English translations of the Quran come from Saudi Arabia. A country famous for its conservative practise of Islam. While the original Arabic text cannot be changed, a lot of these translations include information in parantheses that add "rules" based on the above mentioned factors, that a casual reader or a new Muslim who doesn't know Arabic will consider to be authentic rules of the Quran, extrapolated from the verse, and not extra additions that are often derived from hadith. A very good example of this is the headcover verse, which you can see in this link.
Even all the hostility surrounding homosexual people has been derived from cultural influences and one set of verses. From around 6000 verses, just a single set passingly mention homosexuality. Don't you think that if it truly were such a great sin, God would have explicitly forbidden it? Also why would he create such a natural variation in sexuality and then forbid it? Why isn't it forbidden for animals then? Is all-loving God that cruel to create this natural and healthy attraction in them and then explicitly forbid it when straight people get to marry and live life in bliss? (Please don't say that "God also created pedophilia, and that's natural, so by this logic shouldn't we allow that too?" because pedophilia IS NOT HEALTHY, AT ALL. IT'S IS A DISORDER. Unlike homosexuality) I'm also not picking and choosing things to fit my lifestyle, as some might say, as I am straight, and the only reason I support the LGBT community because I have basic humanity?? And they're humans who deserve rights and joy and freedom and acceptance just like the rest of us.
There have been reformed translations of Quran which examine the verse without prior bias against LGBT people, and they have presented an alternate translation, that the verse condemns sexual assault, which happened to be homosexual in the particular story. Check out this link too, which explains how closely examining the words used could change the meaning from one thing to another.
What I attempted to prove in this extremely long post is that the practise of a religion isn't necessarily the reflection of its true nature.
There are progressive open-minded people who believe in Islam because it gives them hope and solace. People who believe because core beliefs of Islam aligned with their own views and simple logic.
NOT to say there aren't religious bigots who will totally use religion to manipulate people into oppressing themselves or other people. There are, there are a LOT of people like that who call themselves "scholars". And there are a lot of people who follow these extremely harmful regressive version of Islam without critically thinking about what they are following.
I've seen a post discussing the meaning of the word Islam, which means submission to God. It said that it implies total submission, without questioning what we believe.
That is an argument used by both religious extremists to further their beliefs, and by the opposite side, who say the religion is oppressive.
I wish to present a view that Islam itself tells us to think critically, to use our brains to question everything and anything we believe. And then to arrive at our own conclusions. And if you're a decent, kind human, those beliefs maybe align with Islam (not saying that if you're not Muslim, you're horrible, that is not what I meant at all). And if the opinion between people differs, there's always logic and reasoning behind every rule that is presented in the Quran. Don't believe me? Here's the verse that tells people not to blindly follow their parents' religion. And here's a list of verses about critical thinking.
The reason we (atleast reformist Muslims) submit to God is because we questioned it, we came to the conclusion that Hey! This is right. I can submit to my Creator by, who is basically the consciousness that created everything and is the source of all goodness, love and strength, because the rules mentioned here make sense and they privde a moral framework for me to base important desicions on. They feel right. And there is logic behind everything written in this.
I don't mean to present Islam as an all-perfect amazing religion everyone should believe and that I'm right, everyone else, especially those liberal atheists who criticise my religion are wrong and WILL BURN IN HELL. I consider Islam a perfect moral framework, and that's my business only. Anyone can follow what they want and it's none of my business. In fact there is no compulsion in religion at all, and people who say Muslim or go to hell are wrong imo.
What I intended was to paint a picture of reformist Muslims who are still out there, who follow the religion because they questioned it. And not the religion as this stringent rule book we all have to follow down to a t, micromanaging every aspect of our lives and living in perpetual fear of hell, but rather this basic moral guide that teaches us tact, compassion and justice, to bring us closer to God spiritually. I wanted to show that the majority isn't always reflective of what I think is the true core of Islam.
I feel that many practises in the name of Islam are highly questionable and should be criticized, but I also want people to know that the people who seemingly represent the religion, are not representative of the entire mass of believers. That sometimes the practises you might criticize might have nothing to do with the actual religion, atleast according to some of us. It was also for fellow Muslims who might be in the same place I was a few years ago, questioning everything I had learnt was part of my religion.
This is also NOT to undermine struggles of people forced to follow Islam and its seeming requirements like hijab. This is not to claim that nope, every Muslim is fine and ok, and we're all peaceful progressive people. In fact I wish to do the exact opposite, to show that people who enforce oppressive policies in the name of Islam aren't actually backed by the religion and neither should they be backed by other Muslims. I'm also not trying to say no one should criticize Islam. Criticism helps us grow. Criticism is necessary to uncover oppression and eradicate it. So by all means, criticize.
I'm so glad I found the subreddit r/progressive_Islam when I did because it helped me a lot, and opened me to other like-minded progressive Muslims, who actively hope to counter the negative effects of Salafism and conservatism that is overtaking Islam.
So yeah, I think I covered almost everything I wanted to talk about and here's a final link that pretty much just states my position on things.
PS idk why this thingy is in different colours it just seemed cooler and less boring to read

the term malewife isn’t a very nice term to use...
A man who acts as a wife and is inferior to his #girlboss girlfriend.
Person A: I just got myself a malewife. He's gonna clean my kitchen and watch me download custom content for the sims.
Person B: Sweet! You must be such a girlboss
^^urban dictionary. It’s just confirming to the sexist stereotypes that perceive and expectation of what a wife should act like. It’s quite harmful
It's a parallel to girlboss which is conformity to the sexism within corporate America:
"it becomes inescapably clear that when women center their worldview around their own office hustle, it just re-creates the power structures built by men, but with women conveniently on top. In the void left after the end of the corporate feminist vision of the future, this reckoning opens space to imagine success that doesn’t involve acing performance reviews or getting the most out of your interns." (here)
The word girlboss comes from a book quite literally called #girlboss, in parallel to the negative aspects of this book people eventually rebranded the term "malewife" to parallel it (malewife was originally an nsfw type thing)
In the malewife/girlboss "system" it's essentially the swapping of the problematic aspects, expectations, and socialization of men and women within a relationship
"Girlboss, gaslight, gatekeep" was a meme started to pick on the idea that women should become men and enforce the sexism within corporate society, and I'm sure it was a jab at the book the word came from as well.... "Manipulate, mansplain, malewife" was created to parallel the original meme
So yeah, the whole concept is mocking sexism within corporations and and modern relationships and showing how ridiculous it is. Girlboss mocks the idea of 2014 (largely) white feminism within America.
In example the original meme (created on Twitter) is intended to make mockery of Karen-types:
Tumblr media
On January 12th, 2021, Tumblr user missnumber1111 posted, "today’s agenda: gaslight gatekeep and most importantly girlboss," garnering over 43,500 notes in a month (shown below). On that day, Twitter user @CUPlDL0VE posted, "my agenda is gaslight gatekeep and #girlboss," the first instance of the phrase on Twitter.
And a day later on January 13, 2021 Tumblr user a-m-e-t-h-y-s-t-r-o-s-e reblogged the post along with a photoshopped image of "Live, Laugh, Love" wall art instead reading, "Gaslight every moment, Gatekeep every day, Girlboss beyond words" (shown below). On January 18th, the image was reposted to Twitter for the first time.
Malewife doesn't hold those same implications however... The term malewife which is now being used to parallel girlboss achieves it's origins from p*rn, now I'm not an nsfw blog or someone who blatantly discusses nsfw concepts on my blog so I'm not getting super into it but there's a few places it comes from: femdom, bdsm, and feminization kinks... All of which have a connection to queerness in their own right but I don't feel comfortable going into the complexities of that with so many younger people following me.
On February 15th, Tumblr user @relelvance posted, "Manipulate, mansplain, malewife" as a male-themed opposite to "gaslight, gatekeep, girlboss," garnering over 27,000 notes in four days. The post was screenshotted and reuploaded by Twitter user @nortoncampbell on the same day, garnering over 14,200 likes and 2,800 retweets in the same span of time (shown below).
Urban dictionary's explaination of "malewife" is not only harsher than what malewife was intended to mean, but also removes the context of origin from the word- making it something new, different, and erasing the history of who originally used this word.
Because of Malewifes origins vs Girlboss origins, malewife is a less problematic term than girlboss and is more "affectionate" because the term malewife and it's use (up until recently) involved the man acknowledging that he wanted to be the "wife" in his relationship. There's a variety of reasons someone might do this, but it can generally be summed up as a mixture of personality and also personal wants.
I do think it's important to also note that although these words are being "glamorized slightly" they're still intended and being used in a memeing manner, but they're also used to quickly denote arbitrary traits in an individual and categorize those traits...
Although there's lots of conversations to be had for a variety of reasons about the origin and use of the word "girlboss" in relation to sexism, up until recently the world "malewife" was something claimed by men, something men wanted to be called, and something that men who used the term wanted to reference them.
Malewife is about "stepping-up" to "take on" "female" social roles, and it's something that at least some women would be happy to see in society:
"...We have been told that we can have it all, but so far we have noticed that it is extremely hard work having it all, because you still have to do everything that your mother did but now you have to do everything your father did as well. Except that your father had your mother waiting at home with a gin and tonic and his slippers when he came home from work, and you have the washing up and the shopping and a few screaming brats as well as a bloke with his feet up on the sofa watching the football... " (via. Victoria Mary Clarke)
And I don't think that she's wrong at all. Women are still expected to do so much more than men in society without equal reward.
Malewife exists as a a sort of fantasy removed from the truth of society. It's an idea that a husband can be waiting at home to care for his wife, and in this instance it benefits the woman- unlike Clarke's situation above, the woman comes home from a long day and is able to relax without the pressures of society and her life.
Where housewife is a word that holds its origins in forced subservience, malewife is a term that is showcasing men "picking up the torch" in regards to housework- where housewife is socially forced, and girlboss is reversed social compliance, malewife is the rejection of social expectations.
Malewife is about men finding a place in their life's and relationships to make themselves more than a paycheck. To say "I can be emotionally there for my spouse, I can clean a toilet, and drive kids to school, and I don't treat my spouses wants as something expendable". In a society in which men are often demeaned, mocked, and scorned for picking up socially female roles (say hello to misogyny and gendered contamination!)
The Urban dictionary definition, is not only too harsh- but not the way in which the word is intending to be used, because that's ignoring the origins of this word, and the fact that men had a choice in becoming malewifes where women didn't have that choice. It should read more like:
Person A: Ah yeah, I have a malewife waiting for me, he's going to clean my kitchen because I've had a hard day at work and need a break, and then he's going to watch me download custom content for the Sims because I enjoy the game so much and it helps me take a break from life!
Women's wants were often ignored in favor of men's wants, so by the malewife saying he's going to watch his spouse play the Sims, he's really saying "I care about her interests" and by him picking up the kitchen cleaning after she's had a stressful day he's saying "I have a lower stress job so I can handle that for her and make her life a little easier" (because malewife doesn't mean he doesn't have a job).
In a society in which a man's worth is tied to his ability to bring home money and be emotionally distant, malewife is the rejection of this norm. Malewifes are going to be there for their spouse, they're going to step up and take on traditionally women's roles and they're doing it because they want to, because they like it, and because dividing chores into pink vs blue is wrong.
I also want to say, you can't flip a word around and say it does "this" because that's not how it works... Men and women are forcibly socialized in very different ways, the two binaries have very different treatment, and expectations within societies social constructs. If you could flip the forms of oppression that men vs women face (because yes, the patriarchy oppresses men) then you could also flip the forms of violence faced by trans masculine people vs trans feminine people- but that doesn't work either, because women will always be oppressed in the most public way to "make an example of them" while the patriarchy expects anyone who is male to "keep his mouth shut and fall in line". (I know that's worded poorly, but I've just written at least a couple hundred words and my brain is a bit fried already from various other things today- basically anyone perceived female or male will be treated in a certain way as a result of others perception of them)
Anyhow, all this isn't to say that the term "malewife" is inherently free of any form of flaw ever... Malewife is a newly mainstream word, it wasn't popularized until February 15 of 2021... So?? 5 days ago?? The origins of malewife and the social implications of malewife combined with the history of the word, don't make the word bad or impressive and it's not "upholding the ideals of a housewife" but instead a word which provides men freedom from male social expectations.
Can the word malewife come to be a word which enforces expected female social behavior? Yeah it absolutely can become a word to mean that, erase the history from the word, and give it to someone who doesn't know the history of the word, and someone who doesn't have an intimate understanding of gender theory, and you've got a recipe for hundreds more asks like the one you've sent me...
I can't find a single positive reason to use the word girlboss in an empowering way, but I can find more reasons to use the word malewife in an empowering way than not to do so.
So at the very least if all you come away from this with is that I don't personally use the word malewife to uphold female social expectations in a relationship but instead I use this word to provide space for guys to be allowed to be feminine, soft, caring, emotionally present, and worth more than their monetary value, then I guess that's okay.

What You Do to Me
Kakashi Hatake x F!reader Smut
Tumblr media
Warnings: oral sex, suggestive themes, lots of swearing, mention of violence/death
Cheers to the first story for the horny blog. Let’s see how this goes. Plot here follows an ANBU reader that is returning home. They are referenced as female, but could be any gender in a dress. Hope you enjoy 🖤
————————————
The leadership position was an honor— one you had fought tooth and nail for, even. You stood apart in how willing you were to climb to the top, to become the best of the best. However, it had its downsides.
You struggled making genuine friendships. You could be polite, sure, but so many people didn’t seem worth the effort anymore. It was easier to catapult all of your efforts into your training and work life.
It did make the good friends you had all the more special to you, though. You loved them dearly, and time and time again they proved their loyalty to you. Thankfully it didn’t waver whenever you were away for extended timeframes.
You had been sent away for an assassination. Somewhere nearly across the map, in a remote scavenger village where trouble had been brewing for the Hidden Leaf Village politically. It had done a number on you. You could recall the screams of the warlord’s wife when she found him in his bed with his throat cut.
As you settled into the routine of being home again, you found solace in Kurenai Yuhi. She was the friend that had been with you the longest, since the academy. You witnessed each other’s growth throughout your short lives and had been there to celebrate with and uplift the other whenever needed. That being said, she had also been quick to notice the subsequent depression that fell over you after your latest mission.
“When was the last time you went out?” She asked you flippantly.
You had come over to her home for tea the moment you had turned in the paperwork to the Hokage’s office. You shook your head.
“I’m here now, aren’t I?”
She flicked your shoulder. “That’s not what I meant. Honestly! For fun. Something that doesn’t keep you holed up in your apartment. You know, with people.”
You gave half a laugh. “You’re scheming.”
“And if I am?”
You sighed. “You’ll rope me into it somehow. Just nothing too wild, please.”
She says it’s for your own good, and she’s probably right. Kurenai arranges dinner at a local bar with your peers, and the other jonin accept their invitations quickly.
Maybe it wouldn’t be so bad. These are people you really loved and appreciated. It would be good to let loose for a bit. And then Kurenai comes to your door to get ready with you as promised, and she throws black fabric in your face immediately.
“WHAt the fuck—?” Scrambling, you take it off your head and your eyes bulge.
It’s a beautiful black dress. Nothing outrageously fancy, but simple and refined without looking like you were trying too hard. You snorted, and Kurenai called out to you from the bathroom.
“Kakashi’s coming, too!”
“Goddamnit... Kuri—“
“Just try it on! I promise it’s not itchy. And you look good in black.”
And as it turns out, you did. The dress hugged you in all the right places without suffocating you, and fell loosely just above your knees.
You and Kurenai looked at your body in the mirror almost surprised.
“Okay, I really like it a lot.” You admitted with a small smile, and she gave a playful smack to your ass.
“I told you!”
...
Everything falls into place accordingly, and as you both approach the bar, you can feel a familiar fire burning in your chest.
You were happy to have time with your friends, but you were itching to see one in particular. You hadn’t seen Kakashi since weeks before you left to execute the assassination.
God, how to describe how you felt for this man and where to begin? He was within your circle of true companions, many of whom you’d known since childhood. But Kakashi— he was different.
You’d admired him from afar as children, intrigued by his protege-level talent, until you had been roped into Gai’s shenanigans along the way. In truth, you think you shocked him by not being so intimidated by his prowess.
Ultimately, you could see he was lonely. You’d had your own losses yourself, but it was hard to imagine everything he had endured. You gained an honest respect for him, and you’d protected him beyond your time together in ANBU. But nothing could deny the pull you felt to him, or how much you wanted to be the person to put a smile on his face.
...Even if you couldn’t see it.
As you wait with your posse, your eyes find him first when he is (of course) the last to show up. You can’t help but observe him greedily when no one else notices, and you can’t help but stand a little taller when you notice his brows rise when he takes in your dress.
And from there, the night is history. You all pile into a cramped booth and order several rounds of drinks and food to last the night. Everyone has something to contribute, laughing, teasing, and bickering the night away. It warms your heart; finally,
you feel like you’re back home.
Your mentality becomes stronger too as you feel the warmth from the sake hit you. With precise aim you manage to toss a piece of sushi into Gai’s mouth from across the table and your audience applauds.
Yet despite your sport, you can’t ignore the looks Kakashi has been giving you even before you laughed in triumph. He’s been particularly quiet for some time, but you can’t tell if it’s the booze or the atmosphere getting to him.
When the waitress comes to gather your third round of empty drinks you can feel your mood shift. She’s a lovely girl,
thin and with pretty doe eyes. You can’t pick it up through the noise, but she makes a comment to Kakashi and you can make out a smug smile through his mask. He holds out cash between two pointed fingers to her, and she happily takes it and bats her eyelashes at him.
Something begins to boil in your blood. It wasn’t like you to get jealous— that couldn’t be it. But you swear you see his eyes dart to follow her hips as she leaves. And it irritates the living shit out of you.
You’d yearned after this man for what? Your entire adult life? How dare he. Disregard the fact you had never had the guts to confess to him.
Fuck him. Fuck him and his pretty eyes, and his stupid soft hair, and his feathery laugh—
God, you were in so deep. Your seething turns into pouting in your head. Sitting on the sidelines sucked.
And even still... something in your resolve is building. It could be impatience, or the fear you were nowhere near drunk enough to pull this off and forget about it if it went sour. But as the waitress eyes him from the bar, you excuse yourself to the restroom while the attention is on Asuma at the other side of the table.
With Kakashi on the outer seat, it’s easy to carefully but firmly hoist his vest into your hand so you can easily whisper in his ear.
“Outside in five, Hatake.”
...
He could easily find you when he got outside to see you weren’t directly by the entrance. You had snuck into the side alley to patiently wait, like a cat waiting for a mouse to show itself from the underbrush.
Your nerves are broiling over while you idle, and the heat in your gut is burning you alive. But just as you’re ready to talk yourself out of it, he sneaks around the corner.
“This is some rendezvous, don’t you—“
He can’t even finish before you’ve swiftly backed him against the wall. You hold his wrists firmly in place by his shoulders, though you’re aware he could quickly break your hold if he tried.
“What the hell’s wrong with you Kakashi?” You pitifully laugh. “Do you think I’m not paying attention to you?”
Your words are more vicious than the defeated sound of your voice.
He playfully arches an eyebrow. “So, you have been watching me?”
“Of course I’ve been watching you, jackass! How could you even— but I know we’re not— but still—!”
Your resolve is quickly dissipating while his expression becomes more amused. Damn him.
“I think that was a confession if I’ve ever heard one,” he calmly adds. You glare at him.
He thinks he’s won, and gets ready to leave, but you press your knee between his legs. He can’t move, and there’s not enough pressure beneath his crotch to hurt, but he then has your attention.
“Do you have any idea what you do to me, Hatake?” You dangerously whisper to him.
Now, you see him sweat. His eyes look away, and that won’t do. Not anymore.
“Every night I was away, all I could think about was you.” You breathe into his collarbone, kissing over his clothed neck until you reach his flushed ear.
“Y/N—“
“I’m tired of playing games. You know how much I want you. Only you.” You suck on the lobe of his ear and grin when you feel him inhale sharply.
Your hands fall down to his hips and grip them harshly to ground yourself. With closed eyes, you have to steady your breathing to calm yourself. “If you don’t want this, tell me. You don’t have to.”
He’s ripped out of his haze by the sincerity of your tone. In the dim light, you can see him pull his mask down with a finger to take you in fully. His smile is so breathtakingly, beautifully raw.
“I do want you, and all of this. Now kiss me already.“
And like that, your heads are tilted and your lips are locked. The fire in your belly explodes to the rest of your body and you feel it amplified every time you touch him.
He moans deeply when you begin to push against him, reveling in how this wasn’t a dream. One of his hands cradles the back of your head through your hair, and you grin when the other trails down to grope your ass.
You gently rub your knee into his crotch, and he keens while you run your hands up his toned stomach and over his tight chest. When you’re to his face, you lower your knee to push your hips together and pull his hair as you slip your tongue into his mouth.
He submits to you willingly, openly, and freely. And it drives you wild.
Your kisses become more desperate as your tongues interlock, and he feels up from your thigh to your ass when you wrap a leg around him for balance.
His grip tightens around the back of your legs. “Jump,” he says, breathlessly.
You smile. “No.”
The wild look in your eyes sends a shiver down his spine.
He goes to ask you why, but then you’re on your knees in front of him and he swears he double-takes. You pause when your hand is at his zipper and he swears he’ll scream.
“You can stop me at anytime.”
“I don’t want to! Please,” he rasps, fingers trying to find purchase at the top of your head.
His begging sends the heat within you straight to your core. So you indulge, and pull down his pants and underwear enough to let his cock bob out into the night air.
He hisses at the cold initially, but almost chokes when he feels the flat of your tongue press against his cockhead. Your eyes are dark with a sinister lust when you stare up at him, and it takes his breath away.
“Fuck, Y/N, please,” he whines, his voice catching.
You flick your pointer finger up and trail it from between his balls up his entire length, not removing it from his now fully erect shaft.
“Please what? Use your words baby.”
He bucks his hips forward trying to get close to your mouth again.
“Please Y/N, blow me,” he pants. “Fuck me with that pretty mouth of yours.”
Did you wickedly grin once more? Probably. But you close your eyes and take his entire cock down your throat at once and he nearly seizes.
You start at an agonizing pace, making him wanton and needy for you. But just as he’s tiring, you speedily lick your tongue around his shaft and deeply suck him, making him yelp in the process.
“AH!— Holy shit!” He gasps and tightens his grip on your hair.
You hum around his cock, happy with his response, and he gives you a low, drawn out groan to follow. It’s enough to distract him while your hands hook around the back of his thighs to hold him in place.
You run your nails down his thighs just as you begin to swirl your tongue over his sensitive head, and then you take him as far back into your throat as you can once more.
Kakashi’s eyes are rolling into the back of his head, completely at your mercy and enjoying every minute of it. His silver hair frames his pearlescent skin so well in the darkness, which must contrast well with the weeping cock in your mouth.
You come up for air, and give him fast, sticky pumps as you look up at him cheekily.
“How are you feeling handsome?”
“S-So good, holy fuck.” He tries to catch his air as well, but he shakes his head. “Please, let me fuck your mouth. You feel so fucking good, please let me.”
Who were you to refuse?

Why does D agree to certain things? It’s probably because the alternative is worse but then I still don’t understand why he agreed to the sham. He could not have right? Idk what would have happened had he, but I feel anything is better than being married to her. All she does is ruin his reputation, and give him a straight image (to his team), so I genuinely wonder what image he wants for himself because if he didn’t go along with it, what else could they have painted him as that they haven’t already and continue to?
There are endless opinions on this, depending on who you ask. The m/iarren stans and the fans who believe that every message from D’s SM are actually from him will tell you that there was nothing to agree to because he loves her and wanted to marry her because he can’t live without her. They have a love that’s truer than true and are #couple goals. They are perfect for each other in every way and he adores her every breath and she’s just as devoted to him, which is why she follows him everywhere he goes. There’s nothing odd about the length of their relationship and the fact that no one involved in it can give you a consistent time frame. You ask 5 people how they met or when they started dating, you’ll get 5 different answers. All those pics of them together where she’s grabbing onto him and clutching at any limb within her reach are just her being affectionate. The fact that they sit like strangers on a subway during one part of an interview and when it’s noticed, the next part that’s released has both of them being all touchy feely is just coincidence. The dude bro slang and emoji filled posts are just him having fun and being spontaneous. They’re cheeky and silly. Its just him living his best life and there’s nothing forced or untoward about it. He loves only hanging out with her trashy besties and spending nights entertaining the masses in her piano baby/lifelong dream business that she can’t be bothered to promote or run while he accompanies her on the piano looking completely lifeless as she drunkenly butchers one of the 4 songs she knows and thinks she can sing. He’s just being a supportive partner when he talks about the awful branded merchandise from the strip bar during a tv segment that’s supposed to be about his career and then models it later on in a cute coupley pic where he looks like his soul has just left his body. Having her accompany his every move is just what married couples do or didn’t you know that? It’s not natural for one partner to do something without the other, especially if it’s career related. All celeb couples are joined at the hip once they officiate their own wedding. All celeb couples have a wedding - or a great party as it’s sometimes known as - that is corporate sponsored to within an inch of its life. All celeb couples who have one person say they didn’t want to be in a public relationship have a cover story done in Vogue magazine and then have their pr team make sure the link to that article is noted and shared in practically every print interview done for the other person for over a year. This is all completely normal behavior for a 100% believable couple.
There are no such things as contracts that dictate behavior and managers and pr teams don’t post things on their client’s behalf. Lavender relationships and marriages are a thing of the past. No one would dare impose something like that on a celeb in 2021. It must be nice to be that naive. Or sad. Mostly sad. If you believe that, then you haven’t been listening to the stories of celebs who’ve been closeted and decided to come out at the risk of their career. It’s a thousand times easier to market someone as straight - there’s no denying that. And when you’re young and just starting out, you have no leverage whatsoever and will go along with what people tell you to do. If you don’t, you don’t have a career. It’s as simple and evil as that. They hold all the cards and if you want to be a musician or an actor, you have to play by their rules. You sign a deal and before you know, everything has snowballed and you’re in so deep, you don’t know how to begin to climb out. Look at Taylor Swift and the mess she’s gone through with her songs and she’s one of the biggest singers on the planet. Whether you’re a fan or not, you know who she is. If she can’t get control over songs that she freaking wrote because of a shitty contract she signed when she was like 16 without massive amounts of legal issues, what hope do the people who are less famous have? Look at what D said about his lack of input on the evolution of Blaine’s hair and how he didn’t want to rock the boat. Something as simple as that and he didn’t feel like he could or should speak up. Now apply that same mentality to a legal document and think about how hard it would be to try to countermand any part of it, especially when you’re as young as he was then.
D’s team is particularly troublesome because they’re lazy and incompetent and have no interest in marketing him as he really is. The easy way out is the straight way out and that’s their lane. That’s the one they’ve chosen and they will ride that till the wheels fall off. Let’s be honest: D is all RR has. He’s going to milk every drop he can out of D while he can. There’s no celeb out there with an established career who’s considering new management who looks at D’s situation: the circus that is always around him, the garbage that’s posted on his SM in his name, the endless ads for things like ugly ass jewelry and a paid promo pic for a 5 star hotel in the Philippines from the group honeymoon (not a thing) that they crashed after D spent days sifting through garbage with women who live in abject poverty and will never make the kind of money that even a meal at that hotel would cost which totally makes him look awesome - and think “yes! This is what’s been missing all along. Where do I sign?” He’s not getting a free home reno and some TV time from the girl who played Luna in the HP movies and B/ecca T/obin - someone who played a forgettable and unremarkable bitchy blond cheerleader (def breaking the mold there, totally not a trope that can be found in every 80s high school movie or tv show) and now hosts a ridiculous podcast. So he’s going to push his own agenda and make sure that everyone knows his client is straight at every opportunity that’s presented and foist his bride in our faces at even more opportunities just in case it wasn’t clear because oh my god did you hear that D is straight? And he’s been dating this super cool rockstar woman since he was an embryo so there’s no way anything could have ever happened between him and someone else from this show he was on for a while. It wasn’t a big deal or anything. He had a small role and a love interest but they weren’t real popular. I mean if you’ve seen one gay teenage romance, you’ve seen them all. The show’s been over for 5 years and they’re hardly ever mentioned now so there’s no point in keeping them alive. It’s not a role that meant anything to him and it’s certainly not something he would want to celebrate the 10 year anniversary of. I wonder if he was allowed to do that as long as managed to shoehorn in a mention of his lovely ball and chain of many moons. Because that’s what always happens. Doesn’t matter what the topic at hand is - it always seems to come back around to her. And she just smirks and flashes her fake engagement ring at the camera and eats it up because he does all the work and she reaps all the rewards. Like RR, she’ll never give him up without a fight because what then? No one will write articles about what a badass she is. No one will be there to do free promo for her strip bar. No more red carpet pics or designer duds gifted to her. No more free trips to Europe or last minute weekend getaways with his stylist. No one will care about her super secret Instagram account and post pics from it that she’s forwarded over so they get picked up and pumped out to news blogs for maximum coverage. No more pics with actual famous people because who’s inviting a career less nobody to events? She’s a woman in her mid 30s who behaves like an 18 year old on spring break and thinks nothing of it. She doesn’t give a shit how her behavior reflects on D because she doesn’t care about him. All she cares about is what he can provide her and that’s secondhand fame, money, and the image of the best wife to ever wife. But if he was single, then there’d be even more questions about his sexual orientation than there are now and no way to refute anything. So we get this clusterfuck. What they fail to understand is that the harder they push, the more holes they create and the more distasteful this all becomes. I just want to be a fan of D. That’s all I want. But I can’t do that because he comes with a front and center “work family” that I can’t get away from.
I sometimes don’t know what he wants for himself image wise but I truly don’t think it’s this. The difference between in person D and SM D is too great for me to believe he’s really cool with all of it. I don’t know how many more times he has to say that he’s rarely on SM, which should be the reddest of red flags that most of the stuff posted is not coming from him. The fact that he’s taken to SM to rebuff things said in his name that are patently false and insulting reinforces that belief for me. He’s not perfect but he’s not the fake barely literate guy he’s portrayed as. I wouldn’t still be here if I thought that’s who he really was and I wouldn’t care at all about his personal life if it wasn’t shoved down my throat ad naseum.
Well this post kinda got away from me. 😊. I’m so very tired of all this and if I’m tired, D must be exhausted.
