so Mom and I did resin crafts the other day and she got me molds for witch's runes
ever used these before or looked them up so have absolutely no clue about them
just recognized the symbols as that vs say elder futhark
the purple and green pigments we used on them are supposed to glow in the dark
not sure if they haven't had enough sunlight yet or if it just doesn't work but haven't seen it yet
started painting the backs black because they look/ felt unfinished
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
forgot to get a picture before I started but I got it before I got all of them so
will post more pics when they dry etc

How to Cast The Witches Runes
There are numerous ways to cast Runes. They can be cast just like Elder Futhark runes, or even laid out like Tarot Spreads. Here are some of the more common ways:
Complete Throw
On a table, throw all the runes down without looking. You can read and interpret where they land in a multitude of different ways [...] from any direction across to the other direction, or follow a path that may have formed. Pay notice to Runes that fell off the table, were upside down, or are being pointed at by the Eye rune.
Full Future Throw
Indicate a center point with [a] small quartz crystal by charging it [...] then [perform a] Complete Throw. Runes closer to the center are going to occur closest to the current time, while Runes farther away from the center will occur farther in the future.
Single Rune Draw
This is a good way to familiarize [yourself] with the Runes, but not the best for a clear and concise reading. Do this at the beginning of the day to act as an indicator of how the day will go, or draw single runes at random throughout the day to see how the runes explain current happening events to you.
Three Rune Draw
This is a comprehensive way to draw for a reading that consists of 3 parts [similar to a traditional 3 card Cartomancy draw], such as Birth / Life / Death; Past / Present / Future; Beginning / Middle / End; Problem / Focus / Solution; etc.
Five Rune Draw
This set is a great way to give a reading regarding a problem or a journey. The spread has one center rune with four around it like a big + . From left to right and top to bottom, the rune’s indicators are: Beginning, Helps, Focus, Hurts, and End. ‘Beginning’ and ‘End’ can [also] be [substituted] for ‘Problem’ and ‘Solution’.

🃏 Tarot Reading: Ah, the classic! Shuffle those cards, lay 'em out, and let the symbols tell your story. It's like a psychic storytime with beautifully illustrated cards.
🔮 Crystal Ball Gazing: Channel your inner fortune teller and gaze into the shimmering depths of a crystal ball. See visions, symbols, or just a really fancy paperweight – your call!
☕ Tea Leaf Reading: Sip your cuppa, but don't toss those leaves! The way they settle in your cup can unveil the mysteries of the universe. Get ready to decipher some leafy hieroglyphics.
🖐️ Palmistry (Chiromancy): Study the lines, mounts, and shapes on your palm. Each crease tells a story about your life path, personality, and potential. It's like reading a roadmap to your destiny right on your hand!

🕯️ Candle Scrying: Light a candle, focus on the flame, and let your visions come to life within the flickering glow.
🌿 Pendulum Magic: Swing that pendulum and ask it some yes-or-no questions. Allow the pendulum to swing freely and always keep your hand still to allow the energy to truly answer you questions.
🌗 Numerology: Numbers, man! They're everywhere, and they've got a lot to say. Discover your life path, destiny, and soul numbers.
🔍 Scrying Mirrors: Stare into the abyss... or, well, a special mirror! Gaze deep, and let the answers reveal themselves.
🌊 Water Scrying: Gaze into the reflective surface of water – be it a pond, a lake, or even a scrying bowl. Watch as ripples reveal the unseen.

Witch Font collection Part 1 - Madoka Magica
This font collection was still in its infancy when i first started making it and i've come a long ass way since i first remade the few fonts i had and the ones that were lost.
Musical Font Runes is the only one i revectored to add new letters to it. the others were hand done by me or remade by hand.
I will be making more fonts in the future but for right now heres the handful of them i made.

The Witch's Runes were designed purely for divination and have never been used as an alphabet.
It is generally agreed that these Runes were invented for Witches in the 19th or 20th century. However, the exact origin is unknown as there is no definitive text on how to read them or the meaning behind the symbolism [… They] are […] constantly evolving. There is no 'universal' set of symbols either, [and] this is evident from the amount of cariations available.
[Though there are traditionally 13 Runes in this Oracle to match the 13 Moons in a year], Some read with 8 runes rather than 13 Runes; even authors Susan Sheppard and Dana Corby have both published books with slight variations on the Runes.

Cobbled together, but the Source has been lost unfortunately
* I do remember it was a series of BOS pages that came with a Witch's Rune set on Etsy; I downloaded the pages in order to help me further study the set I purchased physically from a vendor elsewhere.

When I don't ask my runes any specific question they tell me things like, "The breath of God and the primordial water nourish the seed of human creation." When I do the same with my tarot cards they say shit like, "Wash the dishes, whore. One day your parents will die."

Types of divination
Divination refers to the practice of seeking knowledge or insight about the future or hidden information through supernatural or mystical means. There are numerous types of divination found across cultures and traditions.
Here are some of the commonly known ones:
Astrology: Astrology involves interpreting the positions and movements of celestial bodies to gain insight into human affairs and predict future events.
Tarot Reading: Tarot cards are used to gain insight into the past, present, and future events or to explore various aspects of a person's life.
Palmistry: Palmistry, also known as chiromancy, involves analyzing the lines, shapes, and markings on a person's hand to make predictions about their life, personality, and future.
Numerology: Numerology is based on the belief that numbers hold symbolic meanings and can be used to gain insight into a person's character, talents, and future events.
Runes: Runes are ancient Germanic alphabet symbols that are used for divination. They are typically engraved on small stones or wooden tiles, and the reader interprets their meanings based on their arrangement.
Scrying: Scrying involves gazing into a reflective surface, such as a crystal ball, a mirror, or water, to receive visions or insights about the past, present, or future.
Tea Leaf Reading: Also known as tasseography, this method involves interpreting patterns and symbols formed by tea leaves in a cup to gain insights or make predictions.
Pendulum Dowsing: Pendulum dowsing uses a weighted object, often a crystal or metal pendant, suspended from a string or chain. The movement of the pendulum is interpreted to answer yes or no questions or to provide guidance.
Ouija Board: Ouija boards are flat boards marked with letters, numbers, and symbols. Participants place their hands on a small planchette and ask questions, believing that spirits will guide the movement of the planchette to spell out answers.
These are just a few examples of divination practices. It's important to note that the effectiveness and interpretation of divination methods vary widely, and their validity is often a matter of personal belief or cultural tradition.
