I’m rereading ACOWAR currently and y’all. I worked in a DV shelter. I have a long history leading to a clear bias against Tamlin. I can’t deal with abusers and as a result, I wrote Tamlin off after the first time I read acotar. I’m doing my reread of the series though and I keep remembering a coworker trying to defend him and I dismissed it so fast and like 😭 I’m in chapter 65. We got the famous “You do not falter. You do not yield.” Feyre and Az went in to Hybern’s camp for Elaine and I was still feeling a little mushy over Rhy’s quite to Feyre but I’m determined to get through this chapter tonight so I’m trucking right along. Feyre gets shot, of course, we all remember this, and then suddenly TAMLIN IS THERE 😭 I remember the first time reading it being like, “eh, so he was trying to make up for Elaine and Nesta being pawns.” But y’all. Feyre remarking, “it’s been him running beside us this whole time.” 😭 AND THEN 😭😭😭 Az is telling Feyre they need to fly, they need to get out because she has an ash wound and they’re about to get caught and TAMLIN IS HOLDING THE LINE, FIGHTING TO GET FEYRE, AZ, ELAINE, AND THE BLESSED TO SAFETY KNOWING FOR SURE IT COULD BE HIS DEATH 😭😭 AND DO YOU REMEMBER THE NEXT LINE??? DO YOU REMEMBER WHAT SJM DID Because I sure DID NOT. “The rest of the hounds had reached him.He did not falter; did not yield an inch to them.”

Yesterday I was rocking the three leading ladies (⚔️) shirt from caffeine and curses and today I was rocking my HU Ariel shirt I got for Peanut's FIRST BIRTHDAY PARTY (it's been sitting up high on my closet shelf since then (she turns seven in august)) and I finally took the tags off this morning and was like you know what?! Yolo, right? Seize the day?! I've been feeling myself lately. (Don't mind my frizzy hair in the second picture though, I don't know what's up with that ha.)

Also don't mind the baggy jeans in the first pic, I had to get new ones and while the skinny jeans fit, the flares (which are my preferred style) were four inches too long so I'm waiting for my mom to hem them and who knows how long that will take... my husband said for the birthday we went to earlier, they (the baggy ones) looked 'sloppy' with my nice shirt but they were fine for just lounging with my bestie around the house yesterday, so, there we go 🤷🏽‍♀️

But I got so many compliments on my hair + shirt + overall 'look' today between two birthdays plus the sushi take out place for dinner, my head was spinning 🤯 I know I shouldn't care what others think of me, but when what everyone else thinks is positive and I'm the only one thinking negative thoughts about myself... maybe I should try listening to them?

Okay, enough rambling. I didn't mean for it to be this long. Just wanted to share some, gasp, dare I say it, CUTE pictures of me?! Ha, okay, that's enough. Sweet dreams, tumblr friends.

My mum just tells me to pull my pants up and lectures about money and other decisions. Though she still is pretty cool and can be like Julieta with her squishy kisses. One of her phrases is "Be good, be nice, behave."

I LOVE THAT!! That would make a cute tattoo in your mom's handwriting if you were to ever get one! I have one that has a quote from my favorite book series in my mom's handwriting. It's something the main character's mother says to her so she finds her inner strength and reminds her of just who she is.

"You do not yield" is a constant reminder that Aelin had been through so much and in that she could face anything, supported by her mother's words. Just as Julieta tells Mirabel that she has nothing to prove and that she is just as special as anyone else in their family.

Rewatched Book Revue and can feel the fanaticism I once (and still do!) held for it dripping back into my bloodstream as I find myself mindlessly redrawing poses from the model sheet in MS Paint

As an aspiring hater, I must appreciate Jon’s dedication to the game. He literally met everyone on Team Dragonstone and just immediately hated them. The only reason he and Davos don’t have beef is because they don’t really know each other like that. But otherwise, my boy is ready to throw straight hands every time he has to deal with Mel, or the Kingsmen, and especially the Queensmen. He’s probably even ready to throw hands with Stannis himself but I think he lowkey doesn’t want to do it because that would now be abusing the elderly, which wouldn’t be very good given his track record with Thorne and Slynt.
