HI YES THIS IS THE KIND OF STUFF I LOVE WRITING ABOUT PLS okay so u didnt really specify which boys so im gonna go for ones that i can picture proposing that sounded weird ok-

koushi sugawara

- pls he’d make it so heartfelt and meaningful HHH I LOVE HIM~ - he’d want to make you feel how much he loved you, like actually feel it in your heart - i feel like he’d tell a FEW people, probably only get daichi to help AHAHAH - bruh asahi would probably have a mental breakdown and tanaka would snitch💔💔 - but he’d have an idea of what you both wanted i think, you wouldve spoken it over before defos - he’d want it to not be that public, just the two of you - so it’d be at like a hiking trail you both go on or something, a place that means loads to both of you but isn’t there for the world to see - and then...…came the day - he knew how much you picked up on little details so he had to be sneak sneak ten thousand™ - “hey, wanna go out on that one walk up *insert name of place idk*? ok ok ok i’ll get ur coat sugar” - EEEEEEEEEEE - he was trying his absolute best to keep it together - he knew you’d most likely say yes, so he wasn’t TOO scared, but it was still SCARY LIKE- - and then u got to the place he wanted to propose - it was this place where you always stopped, where there was a little bench (with your initials STILL carved into it from all those years ago) and it looked out over a nice view - “ooh, can we stop here again!” “u-huh i was actually gonna ask-” - bro he almost forgot the speech daichi read over to him about 20 times - but HE DID IT WOOOO - he didn’t want to make a MASSIVE deal out of it, the wedding would be more important to him but he still wanted to make you know how much he adored you - speech included lots of memories dating even back to before hed even SPOKEN to you i stg this man - AND U SAID YES!!! u have no choice. u did.

- i feel like he’d be kINDA similar to suga?? - a little less caring - he’d never actually pictured himself getting married tbf- - he never thought he’d actually find the right person so he just....gave up idk - BUT THEN YOU CAME INTO HIS LIFE- - even with you he hadn’t really thought about marriage, he was just focused on having fun with you, but then ushijima was like ‘...so, tendou. when is the wedding commencing between you and y/n.” and he just- - it was actually when they were sitting there he started to plan it - ushijima would SEEM like the worst person to go to, but he was actually quite good at this stuff - so in about 2 hours sat at the back door of tendou’s work, they had sketched out a sort of plan on the back of a spare napkin - there was one main thing he knew he wanted to talk about - how you always stuck by him, no matter what he did - he thought he’d seriously fucked up, and you would be back at his door the next day, smiling and chattering about this new café you heard opened down the road - god, he was terrified to even mention paris to you, but you were so up for the idea, it took him by shock - he didn’t take you for granted - so for once, he wanted to make you feel loved - they couldn’t think of a place to take you for ages, but then it hit them - you and tendou always went to wakatoshi’s games, ever since high school you both always made the commute if you had the time - and ushijima had a game coming up in two weeks...…. - when he mentioned it OFC U WERE DOWN PLS, you loved going back to japan - like ofc france was incredible but......... it was just lovely to see everyone again ;-; - since youd been there so much, you basically just got to stand right at the side of the court AHAHAH - so they won the game. obviously. its ushi and kags we’re talking abt here. are you kidding. then tendou started acting weird, which made u hella sus - it was the first time in what felt like years you’d seen him so...nervy - he kept fumbling over his words, you had to yell at him to speak up - but eventually he did it - he spoke abt how much you meant to him, how you made him more comfortable in his own body, how you stuck by him through everything - AND U SAID YES. AGAIN, U HAVE NO CHOICE. - and yes ushi and kags started cheering and the news outlets put u on the news i dont make the rules ok

kenma kozume

- ok mans is TERRIFIED - he’d quite genuinely never thought about marriage, throughout his years with you by his side it just...never crossed his mind - but it was when you were lying in bed one night, his arm dangled over you as you both drifted in and out of sleep - and it just hit him - why the fuck were you both still like this? - marriage was something you always expressed a love for, when kuroo got married you were basically in a trance the whole time - how was he so unaware? - people described kuroo’s proposal as pretty much perfect, he’d always been good at reading his partner, so he just used that knowledge to make something he knew they’d like - so, to kenma’s extreme distaste, he went to kuroo - oh my god kuroo fucking c r i e d - kenma was finally ‘growing up’ - so after about an hour of kuroo sobbing, they finally got down to business - after lots of.. lets say elaborate ideas from kuroo, and lots of no's from kenma, they finally came to a sort of compromise - since you and kuroo worked in the same department, he would text you on saturday simply asking if you wanted to catch coffee and talk about that one assignment - obviously, you said yes - not thinking anything of it, you just pulled on a jumper and jeans AHAH- - then you notice,,,why tf is he taking u to a beach at 7pm in march???? - #serialkillerkurooheadcanons - but u see kenma and ur like... wtf have u gotten yourself into- - have they been possessed?? who knowz - and then u get BLINDFOLDED LIKE WHAT - but then u snap back down to earth like why would they kidnap u- - as kuroo takes it off, kenma’s quite literally shaking - poor babie - he never really knew how to explain his thoughts properly, so the speech wasn’t anything extremely dramatic and/or romantic - but he did in a way tell you how much you meant to him - he spoke abt how you boost his confidence, have always been there whenever he needed you, and how you seem to always understand him when he’s being at his most blunt - therefore he thinks you’re his soulmate - PLSPLSPL IM CRYING

osamu miya

- i think he always knew he wanted to marry you - atsumu always embarassed him about it- - it got to the point you didn’t actually think he’d propose, you would just wake up one day and a wedding dress would be on the door - but it got to the point where tsumu was mentioning it significantly more when you went over for dinner - mama miya was always telling you how happy she was that samu picked you - even your own parents were being oddly warmer towards samu, whenever they phoned they asked how he was, etc etc - so you knew something was up - samu was always really polite to your parents, asked their permission before he even took you out on a date - ironic because you lived together but still- - so turned out, he actually mentioned proposing to you to them - they adored him for gods sake so of course they said yes - then tsumu thought he was acting weird, so he told his side - jesus christ they freaked out - his parents were always nervous about atsumu, who slept with random people on the weekends, and hadn’t been in a proper relationship since middle school - you were basically their god send AHAHA - so it was a massive deal when he wanted to marry you - it would appear that he didn’t really care, but in honesty it meant the wholeass world to him - like suga, he’d go for a location that meant a lot to both of you - christmas was a huge deal for both your families, they both came together and you had an incredible time - and last year some of the jackals came over, which was just hilarious - so what better time than christmas with your loved ones around you??? - it started off like a normal christmas, you had an incredible dinner ( cooked by none other than osamu ((with atsumu and bokuto attempting to sabotage it but just burning their hands on the pot)) ) then all played some games - but it was when you were all watching the basic christmas tv programmes when the atmosphere... changed - everyone was looking at you and samu, even sakusa looked excited - it was when his father muted the tv, and samu took your hand, your heart was basically beating out your chest. - he spoke about how he felt like, for the entirety you’d been together for, every day he seemed to fall more in love with you. you were like his rock, when things were even a bit off he could just come to you and you’d automatically make him happier even just by looking at you - bruh bokuto and hinata were sobbing in the corner

tooru oikawa

- surprising, but he never thought about marriage - he just kind of assumed he’d be one of those people that would be in a relationship for like a week then just.. move on to another person idk - that was until he ran into you - everyone, even his own parents, said he was a different person when he started dating you - it was ironic, you were quite similar to him - yet you made him rethink his fucking morals  - it was sappy asf - ANYWAY BACK TO THE TOPIC AT HAND - he took this proposal really seriously, he wanted it to be the best moment of your whole life - until the wedding ofc ofc - since you’d basically changed him as a person, he wanted this to just show his appreciation for everything you’d ever done for him - he wanted you to feel his love - and so he set about preparing a good proposal - he’d be like osamu, and definitely ask your parents first - your parents loved him anyway, they thought he was the best thing that’d happened to you for a long while - he basically knew what he wanted to do - nothing too public, but nothing too quiet - whats the point of proposing if some people dont see am i right??? - sometimes when you both either a) needed a break or b) you both had a period of time where you were free, you both just booked an impromptu holiday AHAHHA - #richkidtingz - so obvs he had to do it on one of them... it was ur thing after all?? - it was when you walked in the door, face red, and flopped down on the sofa next to him, he grasped the opportunity - “..got any spare holidays from work?” - you quickly went on a travel agent website and booked a three day holiday to brazil, leaving the next morning - it was one of your favourite places to just escape to, so it made sense for him to propose there tbf - it was as you both woke up the first morning there, still sleepy from the night before, you grinned at eachother. - “hey.. get ready quick, i wanna do something.” “wHAT-” - he didn’t actually know where to do it, he just called a taxi and asked for your favourite high street HAHAH - after about an hour of browsing around shops, your hand never out of his, you finally asked ‘what did you want to do?’ - his breathing almost stopped i stg, he didn’t realise how scared he was - but then... HE DID IT POGGERS - he stuck to what he knew he wanted to speak about, making you sob in the process ofc - and even all the locals congratulated you!!!

IT’S NOT JUST ME THAT’S STRONG

- the second years argued. a lot. youd think the lot of them were conjoined at birth. so it wasnt surprising when a girl came into the mix, and tore their hearts into pieces, huh?

w/c- 1717 pairing/s- atsumu x fem!reader, suna x fem!reader and a lil bit of osamu x fem!reader ;) genre- idk lmao but theres a lil angst ig warnings- secondhand embarassment, TINY mention of pornography, heartbreak a/n- THIS WAS SO FUN TO WRITE EHEHEH anyway my writers block’s kinda over????anyway read 2 da end for a surprise twist ;))) 

as the sun started to set over the small area of the hyogo prefecture, all was calm. birds chirped every now and then, flying through the cold skies, enjoying the october buzz in the air. trees’ leaves were littered over the pavement and roads, crunching whenever they were squashed by an oncoming boot. however, if you were to wander through the inarizaki high school grounds on that day, you would hear a buzz of arguing from a specific gym.

“for fucks sake! samu, help yer dear brother out here.. it's pronounced gif, not whatever this ‘jif’ crap is!” the blonde haired, tall setter of the volleyball team leaned backwards on the bench, staring at someone behind him. the latter was the similar looking, gray haired opposite hitter, who just rolled his eyes at the comment.

“first off, yer no calling me yet ‘dear brother’ again. you’re getting zip from me.” he said, taking a glug out of his bottle as the blondie yelped in shock. the slightly taller, brown haired middle blocker giggled to himself. “plus, its technically jif anyway, everyone just says gif because its what society projected onto us.”

“oh, shut up with all that logical bullshit.” the blondie rolled his eyes, standing up and slamming his bottle down onto the space that was left. “oi, kita, ‘s break over?”

“i mean, technically ‘s over whenever ya want it to be. just go spike some balls or something if you’re bored.. oh, hi!” the shorter, white-and-black haired captain slowed down talking, turning to look at the door. all the boys turned around shortly after him, staring at whoever was there.

as you stood against the door, your hair blowing slightly with the wind behind you, your face slightly sweaty having run all around the school, most of them were mesmerised. your face flushed a deeper shade of red after seeing all their eyes glued to you, and you laughed a little.

“oh, sorry, i’m trying to find the girls basketball gym!” you smiled, tilting your head a little. “is this volleyball? sorry, i’m new, i just got told to go to the basketball gym after school for the first practice, but i have no idea where i'm meant to be going!” you giggled slightly, making atsumu and suna go pink. “sorry for disturbing you!” you waved slightly, hopping back down the stairs up to the doors. however, you stopped after hearing footsteps and voices behind you.

“it’s oka-” kita started to say, before sighing, seeing what was happening before him.

“i’ll help you!” atsumu shouted after you, grabbing his jersey in case you were cold.

“i can show you!” suna also shouted, pushing atsumu out the way and grabbing his bottle.

“simps..” osamu and aran both said, shaking their heads as the two boys continued to shove each other.

“no, i will.” the former's voice turned serious, slowing down as they reached the top of the steps. suna frowned, and opened his mouth to say something else, but they both got distracted as they heard your mesmerising laugh again.

“you can both come, if you want, i really don’t mind!” you smiled, doing that little head tilt again. they both nodded instantly, before frowning at each other as soon as your back was slightly turned. “okay, so i’ve walked in on about ten other clubs..”

ever since that moment, it was just a competition of who could win you over. the rest of the boys had moved on, teasing them both for their pure urge to beat each other. all of the boys argued, but nothing was ever as heated as atsumu and suna’s debates. there was a new one every time they went to practice, from something as big as the death penalty to something as tiny as how much diluting juice you put in the glass before you add the water. it was stupid, but they‘d been like that for years now.

but with this argument, it appeared neither of them were actually ahead of the other, like it usually ended up.

suna went for a more romantic approach with you. offering to walk you home, waiting for you after classes, walks through random forest paths on sundays. it wasn’t what he was used to, he’d never paid that much attention to girls. they all seemed to fawn over the miya twins anyway. but it was when you seemed to pay genuine attention to him, it caught his interest. 

obviously he found girls attractive, but the girls he saw online were never the same as girls in real life. not even just porn or anything, even in romance films, they were all so secretive. he didn’t really have the charm either, so he found himself just waiting for a girl to make a move, and if she didn’t, he’d just.. give up. you were unique to him, though. it got to the point where you’d wait for him after class too, wait at the front doors for him to come out so you could walk home, texting him at 9 in the morning asking if he wanted to go on that one walk again you did about a month ago. it took him by shock a little, but he didn’t want it to stop.

whereas atsumu, on the other hand..

to be frank, girls weren’t a big deal to atsumu. he’d always had that blessing of girls fawning over him, so he’d never had to worry about ‘winning over’ a girl. but it hit him when he met you.. he was gonna have to fight for you, wasn’t he?

he visioned you as a more.. modern girl. he assumed suna would go more traditional, the man had no experience with girls, for god's sake. he basically assumed he would win you over.. who wouldn’t pick him over anyone? and so he started. he did with you what he did with every girl, midnight drinking on a random roof, random shopping trips into town, secret lunchtime conversations behind the school. he didn’t think much of it at first, why would he? you were just another girl he’d probably date for what, a week or so, then you’d dump him after actually realising what he’s like. he couldn’t picture himself settling down. but.. you changed him, in a way. he finally found something he wanted to work for.

what was the one thing in common with these stories though?

you never actually showed any form of romantic interest in either of them, throughout this whole ordeal.

so then, after what felt like years, two days before atsumu left for the training camp, they decided it was the day. the day to confess.

neither of them actually knew about the other's plans, it was just pure coincidence they saw this as the opportunity. atsumu because he could try to sweep you away with him to tokyo, suna because he could tease atsumu about it while he was gone. it was a good plan, on both sides., you had to admit, after hearing it a while later. 

“the fuck’re you murmuring for?” atsumu frowned, turning around to look at suna, whose head was in his hands.

“mind your business..” the latter muttered, murmuring under his breath again, making atsumu shake his head. he wasn’t scared, why would he be? you were bound to say yes, for the past few months you’d been spending time with him. you knew what he was like, as he did with you.

“eh, suit yourself. i need to find y/n..” he said, picking up his jacket.

“what? y/n? but i need to find her!” suna snapped back into reality, his eyes wide as atsumu glanced at him

“..yeah. well, you can speak to her tomorrow or something, this is important.” he said in a careless manner, starting to walk towards the door, but stopping short, seeing the door slide open.

“oh! hey, tsumu!” you appeared from outside, your faux fur hood tickling your neck as your beaming face came into the light from the slight darkness behind you. it couldn’t help but make him smile.. god, he couldn’t wait to call you his. suna, from behind him, felt himself smile too, you were stunning. “you ready?” you looked behind atsumu, but as he whipped his head around, he realised you weren’t actually looking at suna either.

“yeah, your place tonight?” oh. oh no. as atsumu realised what was happening, his mouth dropped open. osamu stood up from the bench, his jacket slung over his shoulder as he crossed past both suna and atsumu, kissing you on the forehead.

“you bet! god, my mum’s been so excited to meet you.. bye boys!” you waved at both suna and atsumu separately, going back to chattering to osamu.

“what.. the fuck?” suna said, frowning. atsumu joined him, still in a state of shock.

“yeah, what the fuck?” he turned around, mouth still open.

“oh, you didn’t know? they’re dating, have been for what, a month or something now?” kita smiled, while aran tried not to burst out laughing to his right. “during the christmas holidays, they hung out a bit. i think y/n came looking for atsumu, but he wasn’t in, so she decided to chat to osamu instead. did you seriously not know?” kita laughed a little, and atsumu’s shock turned to anger. ths, of course, made suna burst out laughing.

“what the fuck? no, what the actual fuck? how did i not know the girl i was in love with was dating my brother?” he looked around a little, looking for assistance, but all the boys were snickering at him.

“now i think of it, that was extremely obvious.” suna said, laughing more by the second. he was sad, of course he was! the girl he was falling drastically in love with had a boyfriend, and he had no idea, that would break anyone's heart. but.. this was extremely funny.

“fine, lets just go then.” atsumu humphed, dragging his feet as he walked to the door. “to be fair, she was looking for me. probably liked me more.” he said as they reached just outside the door, and suna shoved him into the wall. “oUCH! THE FUCK WAS THAT FOR?” he yelled, making kita chuckle to himself.

koutarou bokuto- when you finally hit that spike down that youd been practicing for what felt like years, after begging him to try and teach you volleyball. his face lit up, running to pick you up into a hug, spinning you around as your face snuggled into the crook of his neck. as he looked up, he made eye contact with akaashi across the gym, who smiled, and nodded.

keiji akaashi- as you hit the bed, bouncing a little as you sighed out, forehead glistening with sweat. he fell next to you, the covers showing the bottom of his bare legs. you both looked at eachother, bursting into laughter. it was at that moment he decided, you were the one he truly wanted.

suguru daishou- as you whispered the happy birthday song to him, before planting a kiss on his lips as you both lay in bed, the covers half fallen off the bed. your early morning beauty was just.. incredible. he couldnt help but feel like he was falling deep, deep down.

keishin ukai- as you blew out smoke from your mouth, high into the air. your face was tinted red by the cold air, your nose your most distinguishable feature. a smile formed at the corner of his mouth as you looked at him, laughing as you took another breath.

akiteru tsukishima- he cheered, smiling from ear to ear as his brother blocked yet another ball. but it was as his ears tuned into a certain cheer he turned his head, and his eyes met yours. but.. why were you here? it was as you both laughed, faces flushing pink he realised, you were the woman he wanted to marry.

kanji koganegawa- as he was sat in the bath, the shower flattening his hair as you massaged the hair dye through. after all, it was your suggestion to dye a part of it pink. his eyes were glued shut, the bubbles of the shampoo blocking his vision as you both laughed your head off, tears forming at your eyes.

takanobu aone- as you ran, full speed down the small corridor, jumping into his arms after he won a game. all his teammates were surprised as a smile fell upon to his face, putting his head down onto your shoulder, smelling your perfume.

yuuji terushima- as you both face eachother at that stupid party neither of you really wanted to go to, screaming the lyrics to ‘tongue tied’, the alcohol making your vision a little blurry as your lips met, tongues slapping against eachother messily as his hands clasped your cheeks.

kiyoomi sakusa- as you stood on his back porch, face lit up by the small lamp in the corner. your cheeks were still damp with tears as he clutched you, his mask half fallen off his face. he didnt even know how horrible hed made you feel.. he needed to make you know he loved you.

saeko tanaka- as you rolled the window down, your arm waving in the fast air blowing by as you yelled the song playing on the radio. she couldnt help but laugh a little, heart full as she took in your undeniable beauty.

kourai hoshiumi- as you waved frantically at him from the stands of nationals, making him do a double take. you came to one of his games? but you said you were too busy.. you were incredible.

sachirou hirugami- as you laughed with him, sipping at your bottle of fanta as you pointed in the window of a nice looking shop, hurrying over to spot the price of a top. you were so.. relaxed. it was the most beautiful thing hed ever seen.

tetsurou kuroo- as he twirled you around at the party, you the only two people left on the dance floor. his phone was ringing in his pocket, kenma begging him to drive him home already. people were passed out around you, half sleeping. but at that moment, neither of you cared. eachothers company was enough.

kenma kozume- when you finally beat that one level that he was stuck at, that he ‘refused’ to let you help with. seeing the absolute look of joy on your face as you handed the controller back to him, he couldnt help but grin from ear to ear, making kuroos eyes widen.

morisuke yaku- as you both walked down the pavement, hands brushing together with every step as the sun rose upon you. you were half asleep, eyelids flickering shut as you slightly swayed from side to side, the music from before still blaring in your head. he smiled to himself.

lev haiba- his arms were around your legs, your arms in the air as you cheered, his height helping you see over the crowd and straight to the stage. the glitter from your cheeks fell onto his hair as you both screamed the lyrics that were blasting from the huge speakers beside the stage.

taketora yamamoto- as your head was on his stomach, playing with your fingernails as he sat on his phone. slowly, he put it down, staring at the way your fingers went when you did it. all this time he felt like hed been almost.. ignoring you. you deserved so much better than that.

nobuyuki kai- when you grabbed his wrist, pointing towards the huge rollercoaster with three loops, your eyes lighting up. he smiled, sighing as you scanned your wristband on the little machine at the front, all his previous fear of rollercoasters dissolving just from seeing the excitement on your face.

tooru oikawa- you both flopped down onto his bed, in fits of giggles each. after a couple seconds it died down, and you both turned to look at eachother, a smile still plastered onto your face. one thing was for sure, oikawa’d just found someone he loved more than volleyball.

hajime iwaizumi- as you both walked down the pathway as the moonlight shone down on you, in silence, it hit him just how much he loved your company. he could just have you around all day, and be completely content.

issei matsukawa- you both were trying to keep in your giggles in a supposedly ‘silent’ test, and whenever the teacher turned around you ducked back down, laughing as saliva splattered on your near-empty paper. as he looked at your red face, laughing silently, he realised just how beautiful you really were.

shigeru yahaba- he was staring at you, halfway across the class from him, leaning on your left hand as you stared at the smartboard. he found himself paying attention to all your minor beauties, like the way your nose went at the bridge, and how if he squinted he could see all the tiny freckles along your jawline.

kentaro kyoutani- when you showed up after practice to walk him home, completely out of the blue. did you like his presence that much? but he was unbearable, angry all the time.. he had to make you stay.

yutaro kindaichi- when he realised you were shouting his name down the corridor for the third time that day. that was deliberate, wasnt it? but one thing was for sure, he wasnt complaining.

akira kunimi- when you texted him out of the blue asking to facetime at 1am. you remembered he stayed up on thursdays, and kept your promise to facetime him if you ever got bored.. hm, maybe he did underestimate you.

sawamura daichi- as he tuned out of sugas conversation involuntarily, spotting you laughing with your friends inside the coffee shop. it was so.. unusual, to see you out of school, so casual. it made his heart flutter.

koushi sugawara- as you deliberately nudged him walking down the corridor, smiling, that tint of pink in your cheeks. it made his brain go clear, only thoughts of you filling his mind, and he stopped fully, a small smile emerging at the corners of his mouth.

azumane asahi- when you locked eyes with him across the library, your cheeks flushing red as you went back to your book, scribbling down random notes. he only noticed he had stopped breathing when daichi shook him, snapping him out of it.

yuu nishinoya- when youre standing there, jumper half pulled off your head as you laugh your head off when he suddenly feels his face heat up, his laughter fading a little, smiling at your messy hair when you finally pull it off, sighing in relief as you turn to him.

ryunosuke tanaka- when you laugh at his third crappy joke that day, genuine laughter, not the kind when you feel bad for someone. it took him off guard, but he still smiled all the same.

kiyoko shimizu- as you both tried to swing higher than eachother on the swings at the usually crowded, yet empty park at 2am, giggling your heads off as the moonlight shone down on you both, your speaker abandoned on a bench, playing an upbeat song.

hitoka yachi- when you spotted her buying art supplies, and hurried up to her, leaving everyone else you were with behind. nobody ever took this much interest in her..

chikara ennoshita- when your hand gently brushed against his when you were studying, and you both froze, but you didnt move it. you kept reading out the passage as you linked pinkies with him, your hand flipping over his.

tadashi yamaguchi- when you ask to walk home with him, instead of him begging you when tsukki refused. when he nodded after a five second pause, you grinned, happily bobbing along beside him as you aimlessly chattered about your day.

shoyo hinata- when you appear at the volleyball gym when hes practicing, just wanting to watch him spike. nobody that wasn’t really into volleyball ever just wanted to watch him do something.. what made you different?

kei tsukishima- when he closes the car door behind him, going to thank his brother before hearing you call his name, turning and seeing you running down the pavement, smiling from ear to ear. then seeing his brothers face light up as he smiled back, realising something was happening.

tobio kageyama- when you run into him at the vending machine for the fourth time that week, and he realises that maybe it wasnt a coincidence.

“o-okay, i won’t cry!” you laughed a little, significantly more awake as he flung your room door open, pulling you into a hug, gentle yet meaningful.

“im here now, kay? itll be okay, youll be fine!” he stroked the back of your head, slowly entwining his fingers into the roots of your hair as you nuzzled your head into his neck, the scent of freshly baked cookies and fresh soap filling your nostrils. “now, let’s look at what this says sugar.” still half hugging you, he moved over to your bed, picking up the piece of paper with two fingers.

after a few minutes of him reading in silence, your head on his shoulder the whole time, he turned to you.

“ok, i get it! you calmed down, sugar?” you nodded, smiling. just from his presence even being there you were automatically happier, he had that effect on you. all the boys on the volleyball team laughed about it, teasing that you were wrapped around his finger, as he was yours, smitten with eachother.

“i know what that one means..” you pointed to question five, then picking up your notebook and showing him your little notes on it. “and that one. but its question two b thats confusing me.. and the rest of them, to be fair.” you laughed a little, as he smiled at you.

“thats okay! i understand them all, i think, so ill go through them with you one by one. ill stay here all night if i have to, sugar, you come first.” he kissed you on the head as he lifted the paper up so you could both see it from lying down, and started to explain the first question.

“ok.. i think i’m done!” you said, leaning back in your chair, making it move back a little as your boyfriend jumped awake from the bed.

“hm? yay, thats incredible sugar! let me see..” he motioned for you to bring the paper over, and his eyes drifted across the page, analysing your words. “perfect! that sentence theres really good, youd get full marks at an exam just for that sentence alone.. this is all amazing! im proud of you, darling.” he smiled as you hopped onto your bed, him pulling you in to be the little spoon.

“thank you, really. i love you so much.” you said, turning your body around to face his, you both nose to nose.

“i love you too, sugar.” he said before kissing you gently for a few seconds, pulling away for a moment before you kissed him back again, more powerfully, catching him off his guard. “oh, wait..” he pulled his phone out, and you felt yours buzz from the table.
