Street Rat Christmas
Tumblr media
Summary: It’s (Y/n)’s first Christmas season with their new family but they don’t want to give up an old tradition. The problem? Jason and Selina are the only one’s in the family that have heard of the tradition, a Street Rat Christmas. The Batfamily, the Kent’s, and the Outlaws are going to be in for the culture shock of their lives as they find out why Christmas Eve and Christmas Morning are always so peaceful in the City of Demons, no matter the crimes that took place just before.

Warning: Mention of Death
•••
Yet another sigh escaped from (Y/n)’s lips as they watched the snow gently fall to the ground through the window. The book that they were reading was abandoned in their lap as their (e/c) eyes watched the snowflakes shine and float down in the golden sunlight. Damian couldn’t help but frown at his sibling’s actions, he had been with his father for the past five years and he himself understood that Christmas was a time to be happy. Yet, he couldn’t seem to wrap his head around the fact that his normally happy sibling was depressed. Even Damian felt rather pleasant and calm during the two days the holiday was overly focused on.
“Is something the matter (L/n)? Typically you’re more chipper.”
“It’s just my first Christmas without my parents,” (Y/n) replied to him rather sadly. They were remembering how fun Christmas Eve and Christmas Morning always was for their family. Perhaps they could sneak out tonight and join the festivities? “It’s strange, we would be out preparing by now.”
Damian gave (Y/n) a rather quizzical look at that. He understood when they said that they would miss their parents, he couldn’t blame them. However, (Y/n) didn’t come from an amazing or rich family so the preparation note caught him off guard. (Y/n) could’ve been dubbed a street rat by many different people before Bruce had adopted them, and Damian was pretty sure that they had been called a street rat before. Hearing them say preparing was a strange thing, it wasn’t possible for their family since they couldn’t afford something big. Yet, it sounded like a yearly thing for his newest sibling to go through during the holiday season. (Y/n) shot him a smile before they left for their room, taking their book with them. Damian left the study shortly after (Y/n) had left and found himself at the enterance of the living room.
The room was lovely and had many decorations hung up around the room, making it look like the room had been part of a winter wonderland competition and the music in the background was a nice touch. Dick was sitting in an arm chair with Kori on his lap as the pair talked to Roy and Jason who sat on the closer end of the couch. Tim was talking to Kon and Lois on the other side of the couch while Cass talked quietly with Steph, Barbara, and Kate. Selina was sitting next to Bruce as he talked with Clark who had Jon at his side. The room was rather busy with chatter and far too loud for his tastes but he had learned to live with it at this point.
“Hey Damian!” Jon called out to his friend when he noticed him at the entryway. All conversation turn to a pivoting stop to the point that the sweet Christmas songs filled the air of the room. It was a known fact that Damian didn’t spend much time with his family on Christmas Eve until after lunch which was in two hours. “I was wondering where you were.”
Damian nodded his own greeting and understanding to his friend’s words. “I’m sure Jon. I’m however curious about something that doesn’t quite involve me but it does involve (L/n).”
That had caught the whole room’s attention. Everyone knew that (Y/n) was a helpful and sweet soul with little to absolutely no hurtful bone in their whole body.
“Is she alright?” Dick asked worriedly.
“Currently, I’m unaware. I’m well aware that it is their first Christmas without their family but they said something that peaked my interest.”
“What was it?”
“Well, they simply said that their family and themself would be out preparing for some sort of event at this point in time.”
Damian didn’t miss the look that Selina and Jason shared with the other, or the faint smiles on their lips. They had a look in their eyes that was similar if not identical to the one (Y/n) had held not that long ago.
“Preparing for what?” Tim asked curiously. His younger sibling tended to keep closer to Damian and Jason more than anyone else the family knew with the exception perhaps being Alfred.
Damian simply shook his head and kept himself from insulting the older boy, “I’m unaware. It simply peaked my interest because as we all know, (L/n) didn’t come from a very financially stable family. The way that they talked made it sound like an annual event.”
“A tradition on Christmas Eve? In Gotham?” Roy had almost laughed in disbelief. “That’s completely ridiculous. You said it yourself demon spawn, (Y/N) came from a pretty poor family, they don’t exactly have an overwhelming amount their family and them could do.
“No true,” Jason cut off before anyone could agree with his redhead friend. “I actually knew (Y/n) before she ever even met Bruce and moved in because of the festivities that take place on Christmas Eve and Christmas morning. Most people call it a Street Rat Christmas but the official term is a Street Rat Holiday. To put it simply, it’s the only break any street rat or poor family tends to get throughout the whole year.”
Bruce leaned forward at the newly acquired information. To him it sounded just like a charity event that takes place on Christmas Eve and Christmas in the worker side of town. The man couldn’t help but feel surprised that he had never heard of such an event even though he lived in Gotham for so long.
“How much do you know about it?” Tim asked.
“A lot,” Jason replied with a simple shrug of his shoulders. “I still tend to go every Christmas Eve no matter what. I don’t count the years I was either dead or presumably dead but I still go, I don’t care if there is a mission, I go.”
“What happens?
“Peace,” Jason smiled slightly. “We should go tonight. You guys just can’t attack or snap at anyone, you have to enjoy yourselves.”
“Why on earth would we snap or attack?” Dick spoke in surprise.
Jason couldn’t stop the small snort or the smirk pulling on his face. “Villains attend the festivities as well. There was an arrangement made between the villains, people, and GCPD that as long as they didn’t harm or make any sort of threats to anyone for that night or the next morning that they could attend.”
“And people talk and interact with them?” Kate spoke up, looking rather stunned by the information.
Selina couldn’t help but nod in agreement, “indeed. I attended a few years back and (Y/n) was there with their family while talking to all sorts of people. They mostly talked to Riddler, Two-Face, and Penguin when it came to interacting with the villains but they did interact with every villain. That includes Joker. Their family was always active in helping set up the event.
Jon had perked up like a puppy dog before speeding out of the room and up the stairs before coming back with a rather flustered looking (Y/n) in his arms. Gently he set them down on the floor which caused them to let out a small sigh of relief. It wasn’t like they didn’t trust Jon, they did, but it was different when he came into their room, picked them up and rushed them down to the living room at super speed. They were still getting used to the whole “living with superheroes” thing as it had only been two months since they moved in.
“What is going on?” They questioned after a moment.
“Just talking about how a Street Rat Christmas functions,” Jason replied to his younger sibling.
No one could miss the way that (Y/n)’s eyes had lit up at the mention of the event. They seemed happier almost immediately at the reminder of the event.
“Oh! Can we go?” (Y/n) turned to Bruce with large kitten eyes that Selina most definitely approved of. “Pleeeeaaaassseee?”
Bruce chuckled at his child’s beg for approval. He already knew what his choice was going to be but first, “I want to know more about this event before I agree to anything.”
“Well, where did I leave off?” Selina wondered. The newest family addition sat on the floor near Bruce and Selina while dragging Damian down and over with them.
“Villains,” Kori reminded.
Selina snapped her fingers with a smile, “right!”
–––
The group had arrived at a large park filled with people and laughter. A giant tree stood tall in the middle of the park and was decorated with all sorts of different and even strange ordiments that were clearly brought or made by the people at the party. Damian could help but let a faint smile appear on his lips as his sibling dragged him toward the main party.
None of the secret heroes could miss the villains in the crowd that greeted the pair with an honest to god real smile. They even saw Joker gift (Y/n) with a very pretty box, the fact made them tense at the sight but for some reason Jason was calm about it. He was calm about seeing his murderer gift his little sibling with a box that could very easily hold a trigger bomb. It made no sense and yet that is how it played out. The young Wayne had opened the gift with a smile and found it to be a purple and green scarf, something that was clearly made with the help of the Riddler.
The family moved around and tried the different activities such as a snow man building contest (Tim and Dick got third place), a scavenger hunt (Damian, Jason, and (Y/n) had easily won that), dance battle to Christmas music (Selina joined forces with Ivy and they got fifth), create an ordiment to hang on the giant tree, ice Christmas cookies, drink hot cocoa, ice skating, a Christmas song karaoke challenge, and many more events. Homeless kids and families were given blankets and clothes as well as other supplies at the end of the night. At three minutes to midnight everyone had gathered around the tree and many were talking excitedly, the kids especially.
“We wish you a merry Christmas”
The Waynes were surprised when everyone began to sing in perfect harmony, the villains, Jason, (Y/N), Selina, and many others were leading the uncertain children and newcomers in the song. Jason had a young girl in his arms who was singing along with him while looking at the glowing tree.
“We wish you a merry Christmas/ We wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year”
Dick, Kori, Roy, and Steph had joined in the singing as well but to their surprise so had Damian. It was much quieter than the others but still noticeable enough.
“Good tidings we bring to you and your kin/We wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year”
As everyone sang Bruce had decided one thing, he was going to have to participate in a Street Rat Christmas every year until he died. His family had been happier than they have in ages while Selina, Jason, and (Y/n) all got to keep a familiar tradition close to them and have the time to remember those that they love and miss; they all did.

Star Wars Season 7, Episode 11 Review
Spoilers!!!
Wow, I’m not okay, like at all.
I knew it was coming up but then I hear the music and I’m so tense. Like it’s music that puts you on edge since the beginning and you know you’re screwed with the feels. Like the episode is called Shattered and that is what my heart is right now.
Like Ahsoka and Rex are such siblings and Maul is just a glaring child. Then with the Council with the Jedi, Ahsoka, and Rex I was so pissed off at Mace, like what the fuck? He basically told Ahsoka to fuck off since she was a civilian and it didn’t affect her sure buddy.
Then Ahsoka thinks she’s gonna see Anakin again and I’m just on my bed mentally crying. Like you know that’s not gonna happen and Duel of the Fates is still gonna happen. Then, Rex and Ahsoka are talking about how great the clones are (and they are) and like the “Republic couldn’t have asked for better soldiers.”
My thoughts went dark at that moment I was like, my children were not made to win for the Republic. They were used like how the Senate saw them. Not as people, not as soldiers but as weapons that with work so well until you get to one moment and they backfire.
Then everything goes to shit. Like I knew as soon as Rex was told he was needed for a briefing and Ahsoka told him to go with out him that it was coming. As soon as Sidious said “Execute Order 66” I had one reaction. I screamed: “You son of a bitch!”
Then Ahsoka heads the fight between Palpatine, Mace, and Anakin I lost my shit. Like I know she’s connected to Anakin but shit how powerful is Ahsoka Tano?
What broke me more was Rex pleading for Ahsoka to find Fives. Why didn’t anyone listen to Fives? He didn’t go crazy there had to be a reason he went so far! He was a good soldier and no one believed him but clearly Rex did. Rex fought the order mentally enough to tell Ahsoka to find Fives.
When Ahsoka jumped away and escaped I thought something like: I’m scared, mighty, and small because that gap wasn’t that big, like at all. Like shit. Then Rex and the Clone’s voices all got gruffest and darker while the colors turned dark.
Then they want to excute Maul, I love the bastard sometimes but I was so confused on why they didn’t shoot him as soon as they could. You were at point blank range and you didn’t shoot him? It would have been swift with no need to wait, also Ezra wouldn’t have to deal with him (even though I was so happy that he was in Rebels) and he wouldn’t be around to cause so much trouble.
Right after those thoughts Ahsoka just doesn’t give a shit and just knocks them out and lets him go to cause chaos. I have never been so proud because my babies are working together but they’re not working together at the same time!
Like Ahsoka knows you don’t need a saber to have a fighting chance Maul so don’t even go there. You got the force buddy, don’t tell me you’re going to let a few of my other child take you down so quickly.
Then the switch to Rex and the clones, I was like they have a good tactic. You can see why they are some of the best clones. They don’t leave the hallways open for long and they travel in squads, giving them power in numbers which is smart and scary because that’s how they win.
After Ahsoka creeps around to the droids I almost died. Like they are soooo cute sometimes but right then? They were adorable little beings of metal in this episode.
When she brought up the files of Fives I almost died when I saw him again. Like his death still hurts (does Echo even know he’s the last Domino) and it’s been so long since his death and it hurts. The council knew about this and didn’t investigate why one of the clones went after the chancellor? The Senate knew and didn’t question it? Senator Padmé Amidala didn’t question it when a man she had literally met at least once going after a man she thought of as a father figure?
Rex filing the Grievance Report? That must have hurt so much because it hurt me. Like he touches the back of he head like he did the night Fives was killed. Rex knew it was going to fall on to deaf ears which pissed me off because Anakin was there and he was horrified by Fives’s death. He knew and didn’t say anything about it afterwards.
Rex didn’t believe it, maybe didn’t want to but why didn’t he look deeper into the chips? He knew they were there, so why didn’t he look further into it?
Then Maul’s hallway scene made Vader’s look like a tea party. I told you this boi didn’t need a lightsaber to crash the party. He decapitated two clones, knocked out two more and made one loose a limb all in one scene. He was badass.
My droid babies causing mischief and fucking with Rex. I swear they were laughing, they were blocking every path and he just stood their. He got outsmarted by two baby droids and it was beautiful. With the holo-transmition.
“Where. Is. She?”
“I’m right here.”
That got me with that music. My god, I’m dead. Then I laughed when Rex got shocked, I felt guilty but my god, I needed to ease that tension so much.
“Careful. We’re trying not to hurt him.”
That annoyed sassy tone that was so done? Beautiful.
The medbay scenes. They couldn’t find the chip and the Ahsoka and Rex went into such sync.
“I’m one with the force and the force is with me.”
Shit.
Rouge One, anyone?
“I don’t know if it’ll work. But if it doesn’t we’re dead anyway.”
She just excepted death, I’m not okay with that.
Then the Clones arrived and I panicked when I saw Rex going for his guns.
I know he said; “I didn’t betray my Jedi.” In Rebels and Ahsoka was so happy to see him again but while to the clones she’ll always be their commander, their Jedi she wasn’t one. I still panicked.
Ahsoka was overwhelmed and she was panicking and I was panicking. Then Rex shot down his own brothers, like last time that happened was on Umbra right? Correct me if I’m wrong. He looks so tired, so broken, so confused, so shattered. It was unnerving.
Like he’s so broken and now they know it’s all over the galaxy and everyone that could help is probably already dead. Now their cornered in the medbay with the whole ship knowing where they are?
What is next week going to bring me? Death that’s what. Amazing and high tension episode that killed me.

Easter Egg Hunt (YJ Team x Reader)
Tumblr media
Summary: This is a spin off of Cursed Dead? which takes place in after part 1, season one. The team finds that the Mountain has been turned into an Easter egg hunt.
Note: I won’t be doing a part two to Cursed Dead?
Request: No but it's Easter
Pairing?: YJ Team x Fem!Reader. Robin x Fem!Reader
———
As the team entered the Mountain after a fake mission that Batman set up. They couldn’t understand why the man would play them but they only slightly understood when they got back to base. They couldn’t help but blink as a table was set out in the middle of the room. Baskets of different colors with one Easter egg inside each basket. (Y/n) sat on the table with a basket in her lap, as large smile spread along her face. Her image seemed to flicker from her translucent one to a solid one. “Happy Easter!”
The team smiled at the girl who looked at them excitedly. All their tiredness washed away as they grew curious and slightly excited. The third basket on her left was accented with orange ribbons while on the front was Aqualad’s symbol. Next to it was one wrapped in blue with a large red X on the front. The one right next to her left side was black with red Superman symbol on the front. The one farthest from her on the left was green with a lime green arrow head that was similar to the one on Artemis’s chest. Next to her on her right was a yellow one with a red flash symbol on the front. Finally, the one in her lap was red with a bat symbol on the front.
“What is this?” Aqualad asked.
“Well, it’s an Easter egg hunt! You have to follow the riddles and clues to find all of thirty of your eggs. Each person has thirty eggs with their corisponding color!”
“Where did you get the time for all of this?” Robin asked; his eyes narrowing at the girl who just smiled and approached him with his basket still in her hands.
“The League helped, mostly Batman though. I needed you guess out of the Mountain so he made a fake mission for you.” At their shocked expressions (Y/n) looked down at the basket her hair fell in front of her face. She had thought their shock was anger rather than actual shock. “Sorry! I knew it was a stupid idea but Batman said you wouldn’t be mad and that you’d enjoy it! I’m sorry.”
Robin put a hand on her shoulder, well more like above it since it would go through her. “We’re not mad just shocked. Really it’s a wonderful gesture.”
She looked up at him and he gave a kind smile to the ghost.
“Indeed, I think it would be fun.” Aqualad agreed.
Artemis and M’gnn nodded with wide smiles while Connor looked curious and slightly confused but nodded as well. Wally however looked thoughtful, the way she had put it made the hunt seem more like a challenge and a lot of challenges come with a prize.
“Is there a prize?”
“Yup! Agent A’s specially made cookies!”
“How much did B help you?” Robin said in shock.
“A lot! I went over to the Batcave and explained though I scared one kid-”
“Jay?” Robin cut in.
“Jay,” (Y/n) agreed. “And B told him off for throwing a bowl at me. But I told them my plan a few weeks ago and they all agreed to help me. Jay and B helped me paint the eggs and make the riddles and clues while Agent A made cookies.”
“So, when do we start?” Artemis asked. From the looks on Wally’s and Robin’s faces the cookies had to be something to die for.
“Well rules, no powers and,” she handed Robin his basket with a single egg and a riddle or clue inside. “Now.”
The team ran toward their baskets and looked at their hints while (Y/n) chased after Robin. The whole afternoon was spent Easter egg hunting and they had to admit it was fun.
•••
“Why would you plan this for us?” Robin asked her as he looked around his room.
“Why not?” (Y/n) shrugged. She sat on his bed and looked around the bare room. “Honestly Dick, you’re all my friends and I couldn’t have anyone better to hang out with.”
Dick turned to the girl who was now in front of him, “You’re amazing (Y/n).”
“Thank you. You’re fantastic, Dick, and don’t you ever forget it.”
Dick smiled at her, he wanted to hug her but he couldn’t, he would just go through her.
•••
Two hours later Robin found himself in the living area eating Alfred’s cookies while (Y/n) smiled and talked next to him. She took one and as a test to see if she could eat food from the land of the living she bit into it. To both hers and Robin’s surprise the cookie was actually bit into. They looked at each other in confusion before smiling at each other, having a small mental conversation with their eyes. They didn’t notice how close they were but they were just smiling and talking without saying a word.
Wally rushed in with Artemis not so far away but out of sight to the pair. They watched the two with sad eyes, not because of their defeat —though it was disappointing— but because Robin could never be with someone who was dead. Artemis saw how close the two were and saw (Y/n) whole body go from her translucent one to a solid one. Wally and Artemis shared a sad look as the rest of the team came behind them and joined in on watching. M’gnn gave a quiet gasp that barely reached the ears of the rest of the team.
Aqualad sighed and shared a look with Connor who looked a mix between sad and uncomfortable. Kaldur had similar thoughts to Wally and Artemis, that Robin could never be with (Y/n) because she was dead and Robin was not. That he would age and she would forever be the age she appeared. The relationship could never work. Yet, as he looked at the pair as they grew closer, making their gap close quicker he couldn’t help but hope it was some sort of trick and the they could be together.
“Happy Easter Robin.”
“Happy Easter (Y/n).”
Once again (Y/n)’s image turned solid and Robin took his chance. He pressed his lips to hers gaining a soft squeak for her before she returned it. She willed herself to stay solid knowing it was draining her energy but knowing it was worth it. Her lips were cold against his own from her ghostly state but he couldn’t care less, they were soft and molded well with his own. (Y/n) smiled against his lips as she felt more alive than she had when she was alive. Robin was well aware that she was willing herself to stay solid for as long as possible and couldn’t be happier about it because it proved something. If she didn’t like him she would have gone back to her ghost state and left but instead she was trying to stay solid and was kissing him back.
M’gnn cooed through the mindlink that was set up between the team, minus Robin.
They’re adorable, she spoke.
Artemis sighed as she looked at M’gnn, They could never be together though.
Artemis is right, Wally said through the link. Even if those two are making out right now it wouldn’t work, (Y/n) is dead and there is nothing we can do about it.
How come no one ever found her body then? Connor asked.
What do you mean Connor? Aqualad inquired. What do you mean (Y/n)’s body was never found?
It was never found, I asked Batman if I could visit her grave sight because we know her spirit but could never meet her person. He told me that she didn’t have one because no one found the body.
The team shared a look of confusion before turning back to the couple as Robin parted away from (Y/n) and her appearance flickered back to her ghost state. She was panting but smiling at him with happiness in her eyes. “Thank you Robin. Thank you.”
“Anytime,” he smiled. "I don't mind doing that again.”
“Oh, I know. But thank you, while I’m slightly drained I haven’t felt more alive.”
“Glad to hear.”
•••
The mentors watched the monitors with sad expressions also annoyed ones too. Batman wins every bet.
“They could never be together,” Barry spoke up sadly. “She’s a ghost and Dick’s still alive.”
“I’m aware,” Bruce said as he replayed the footage of the living area where the team was hiding and where Dick and (Y/n) were. “For now I think the two will manage.”
“Let’s hope so,” Oliver said. They all had watched (Y/n) and the team grow close and honestly it wasn’t far that her life had been taken away at such an age. “They both need each other.”

Note: This is bad but I liked it well enough.

“It’s following me again!” Wally screamed as he walked into the kitchen. All eyes went past him and to the somewhat translucent girl walking in behind him. She looked behind her in confusion before turning back to the team with a smile as realization sparked in her eyes. Wally hide behind Robin who just sent a smile back toward the girl.
“Why are you so scared of her? She’s seems more like Greta was before she was at peace. Besides she seems nice to me,” Artemis stayed while the girl walked over soundlessly.
That was the thing about (Y/n) Isley, she was a ghost that died because of her sister’s work. The accident that turned her sister into a villain was the accident that had killed her. (Y/n) didn’t use to talk much but she sometimes spoke to the team who she was haunting. She never caused them harm and only smiled at the team and League, pointing out things they didn’t notice. Batman knew who she was while Robin only recognized her from somewhere but he couldn’t figure out where.
“Hello (Y/n),” Kaldur greeted the ghost with a smile.
The girl waved, “Hello Kaldur.” Her voice was calm and sounded like music that was slightly wavered which they all guessed was due to her being a ghost. “How are you today?”
“I’m well, guess you are the same as always?” She nodded in response. “I’m sorry about Wally, guess he’s not used to you yet.”
(Y/n) waved it off as the speedster gaped at the ghost while Robin studied the girl. She had (long/short) hair, bright (eye color) eyes, and (skin color) skin. He had never met her but he knew her from somewhere and that was a worrying thought. It meant she was from Gotham and was killed there, but she didn’t show any signs of how she died.
“I’m sorry and call me mean or lacking tact but how did you die?”
“Robin!”
“Dude!”
“It’s fine!” The girl laughed at the team’s outburst. “My name is (Y/n) Isley, I’m the little sister of who is now Poison Ivy. The accident that made her a villain was the accident that killed me. I’ve traveled around Gotham for a few years as a ghost.”
“The ghost of Gotham’s streets? That’s you?”
“Yup,” she nodded. (Y/n) seemed so calm about her death, as if she had come to terms with it already. “That’s me. I visited my sister a few times but I don’t help her. You guys are nice and around my age so I decided to follow you around, I can leave if you all wish, I don’t mind.”
Wally shook his head, “Stay, I’m just not used to being followed around by a dead person.”
“Ghost,” Zatanna scolded sharply.
The girl laughed with a bright smile on her face and for a second she didn’t seem to be a ghost but a normal human being.
Years Later
“Wow! Your (Y/n) Isley!” The little speedster exclaimed in wonder as the newer team surrounded the ghost. “You’re known as Demeter! Wow this is so cool!”
“Um, I’m a ghost, kid. I’ve been dead for a long time. I can’t be a hero on the field but I do help plan things with Nightwing.”
Confusion filtered across Bart’s face, “You’re dead? What but- huh? You lead the rebellion and were a known hero! You can’t be dead!”
Shock crossed the original team as they looked at (Y/n). “Bart, she’s dead. You can’t come back from the dead!”
“Wing,” (Y/n) said her voice soft. She knew why he was reacting in such a way, she knew Jason too. It didn’t help that (Y/n) and Nightwing had a strange history. “Bart, I can’t come back to life.”
“But Circe-”
Dick put a hand over his mouth with a look of annoyance on his face. “Please don’t, we already have close calls with her because she suddenly isn’t like a ghost. I don’t need to have my hopes up about this, (Y/n) has been long gone. I’ve only know a few times where she herself said she felt alive.”
“You said she was your age when you met her, why does she look eighteen or nineteen?” Tim questioned suddenly. He had been told that his brother’s friend was biologically thirteen but was actually older. But now she looked to be Dick’s age and didn’t seem like she was actually dead.
“What happened before your death? A run in with Circe right?”
(Y/n) looked at Bart in surprise, “How did you know?”
“You never mentioned Circe,” Connor spoke up but the girl shrugged.
“You never asked. Wing asked about my death and life not if I ran into Circe or not.”
Dick’s brain was working a thousand miles a second until it clicked. He turned to his friend and tapped her shoulder twice. The first time his fingers passed through her and the second time it didn’t, she seemed solid. “It’s a spell,” he muttered in surprise.
(Y/n) heard and took a step back in shock while the new and old teams crowded around in surprise.
“Maybe Bart is right.”
“Maybe (N/n) but don’t bet on it,” Dick told the girl who smiled slightly.
“Maybe we should talk to Zatanna again?” M’gann suggested.
Everyone nodded while (Y/n) looked slightly hopeful. Maybe it really was a spell, made her look, feel, and even think that she was a ghost. Maybe there was hope for her yet.

Note: This wasn’t that good but I liked it even if it’s short.

It’s Been a While (Batfam x Sister!Reader)
Tumblr media
Summary: Years ago (Y/n) Al Ghul- Wayne had disappeared from the world without a trace. When she comes back her family has a lot of questions for her and her her two friends, Artemis Fowl II and Holly Short
Warnings: It’s long and I got carried away
Request: No
Pairing?: Family; Batfamily x Sister!Reader
———
Age Ten
(Y/n) scowled from the rooftop, making sure to be unseen by those below her as her brother chased the clawed man. Fighting him into the streets of Gotham wasn’t a smart idea, it was rash with little thought that would only cause trouble. She didn’t need to be part of that, no matter how angry she was she needed something to do instead of sit around the cave all day. Quickly she jumped off the roof and twisted herself and grabbing the streetlight so she didn’t hit the ground. Flipping herself to stand on the light before bounce off the tops of cars and trucks to make sure her brother wasn’t overly harmed. Landing on top of the fence she watched as metal clanged metal before jumping to sit on the streetlight above.
She would stop the fight when she thought necessary, after all, Damian wasn’t exactly a normal child, neither was she but that was different. While she was trained to be a killer she found the works of being a criminal mastermind much more enduring than the works of a mindless assassin. It was when he was bring his sword to lay the final blow did she get ready to leap into action. However, a man in black and blue beat her, kicking her twin through the fence before he could kill the injured man. (Y/n) recognized the vigilante from her grandfather’s and mother’s learnings, his name was Nightwing.
He caught the sword but (Y/n) took action flipping above him and grabbing the sword from his grasp. Sheathing it in her holder as she landed beside him.
“The psychos keep getting younger,” Nightwing muttered, keeping an eye on the girl next to him. She seemed harmless but she had also been watching the scene unfold and took the sword away from him. He knew if she had the intention of harming him she would have done it, he could tell she was a force to be reckoned with just by the glint in her eye that gleamed. It was as if she was sending the message of “I know something you don’t” with her eyes.
“Watch out,” she muttered toward the hero as her twin cane charging toward the pair, mainly the man that had knocked him away. Damian has no reason to go after his sister, she knew when to pick her fights but for once she wasn’t by his side on this one. She helped Nightwing fight him, even going to hand-to-hand combat with her brother who was typically superior in that field but she was much smarter than her brother.
It took some time but soon enough Damian was tied to the streetlight with a gag looking furious. (Y/n) chuckled at the sight before turning toward the scratched up hero with a frown. “Sorry about that. With the sword and all. It’s not easy fighting your own brother especially when their better than you.”
He gave a chuckle, “It’s fine, who are you kids?”
“I’m (Y/n) Al Ghul-Wayne. This is my twin brother Damian. We snuck out of the manor while dad was out on patrol, I just followed so no one would get killed.”
“Nearly failed,” Nightwing commented on.
“What ever you say Grayson. Believe me, my plans never fail.” Once again the glint was in her eye as she smirked, “Call dad, he won’t be happy but he may as well be called.”
The man nodded while the girl walked over to her hanging brother who was spitting curses into the gag while glaring at his sister. In less than twenty minutes all of them were back at the manor and being checked on by Alfred. Dick was getting stitches from Alfred due to Damian’s stricken with a sword while (Y/n) hacked into the government systems at the bat computer, looking bored.
“Maybe you should remember who the blood son is,” Damian hissed at the older man.
“Maybe you should remember who saved your ass back home before the attack,” (Y/n) snipped calmly, seemingly ineffected by her brother’s withering glare. “Now quit glaring at me, I have something to figure out.”
“Besides, it’s more like blood thirsty,” Dick supplied with an ease. Alerting both twins that this wasn’t the first time he had an arguement of insults with someone their age. Dick only seemed to react when Damian went looking through the costumes of the old Robins.
“You can never be too cautious,” Alfred told her as he appeared at her side, in front of the computer. “But never be paranoid, that will bring you a horrible life.”
She blinked at him before glancing up at the pair of males above.
“Thank you Mr. Pennyworth.”
She would keep that information handy for the rest of her life.
Age Eleven
Why Bruce sent her and Tim to Ireland was beyond her. There wasn’t a lot of major crime around that would cause them to go out of country. She didn’t mind time like Damian did, the pair actually got along very well but disagreed on many different topics. She didn’t train to go on the field like her brothers did but she was trained well enough to be able to keep up with what they did. She was smart and worked with technology everyday, so she wasn’t very happy about the mission. She traveled around the city of Dublin calmly, hoping to find something of use of the pointless mission.
They were here to find a supposed criminal mastermind that had gone missing, with no name and little leads, he just lived in Ireland and had quiet a bit of money. It was what brought Tim and (Y/n) to the view tower of The Guinness Factory, surrounded by important people from all over Ireland and some from different countries. She let Tim do the talking to all the others, she was very calm but she wasn’t fond of having a low intellect conversation with someone in the beer factory.
She walked around in her (Favorite color) dress as she rarely stopped to chat. As soon as she got to the bar she was surprised how empty it was for a party. “Not enjoying the party?”
She looked over to her right, only to see a boy that she could have easily mistaken for a young Wayne boy. He had raven black hair and deep blue eyes that took her by surprise, he was pale like a vampire and even wore a smile of one. He seemed to be her age and as deeply as bored as her.
“It’s not my kind of thing,” (Y/n) told the boy in the Armani suit. She had only seen on one man wearing a suit of the same designer, that man was Domovoi Butler who was a manservant and a bodyguard to the Fowl family. “I’m guessing it’s not yours either Artemis Fowl?”
“Why you picked up the clues rather quickly, didn’t you (Y/n) Wayne?”
She rolled her eyes, she had heard of the Fowl family and knew that the man they were looking for has been missing for a year. She could at least have a competent chat with someone her age about things that do not make sense. She had heard of his mother which barely anyone knew about and she had heard of him dropping from boarding school and she had no doubt on why.
“If you’re going to make alliances with those of this higher society to keep your plans under wraps then I would suggest you get talking to them.”
“Well, if your brother and you are looking for my father he was killed a year ago.”
“So it seems Mr. Fowl,” (Y/n) stared with a click of her tongue. “But things aren’t always what they seem. Your family was rich and now you a young eleven-year-old are trying to bring it back up. No one would suspect that you would be as smart as you are today but yet here you are in land of higher life that is much more dangerous.”
“Well Miss Wayne, perhaps we should chat about it somewhere else. After all if anyone heard it would be a shame if your own family secret got out to the press.”
“Black mail doesn’t work on me. I want to help you.”
“With?”
“Your father and mother. You can’t believe that something isn’t going on? The problem is, my family can’t know where I am.”
“Why should I let you help me?”
“How many people do either of us know that are as intelligent or competent as us? Besides, I know more about people, so if we need something socially I can talk.”
“You say you need to hide, who’s believe you are who you say?”
“Artemis, this is the underground network. Things can be well hidden, even my father hasn’t figured out all of the darkest secrets in Gotham. What makes you think he’ll figure this one out?”
“True but, how are you to die? Needs to be something believable.”
“Obviously,” she hissed with an eye roll. “Tim is coming, smile.”
He gave a vampire smile and she put up a false front as her older brother came over. “Hello,” he greeted them both. “You seemed to be missing out on the party sister.”
“I prefer talking to certain people more than others.” Tim frowned and took his leave after grabbing a drink. After at least thirty minutes of silence between the two pre-teens did something happen. Men walked in, guns in hand with a greedy look in their eyes. Butler grabbed Artemis and Artemis grabbed (Y/n), pulling her back with them, into the corner. Butler hide the pair behind him while the two kids shared a look. A gunshot rung out, followed by some more. Tim looked around wildly for his sister, only to see a few men walking over towards the group of three. Guns pointed pointed at them as one shot the window behind them.
“Oh, wonderful,” Tim muttered as he watched the boy and his sister share a look. The pair backed up toward the edge of the window, looking calm and content. Two rings went out and the pair fell from the height. (Y/n) had taken both shots, one right in her left shoulder and another in her right arm. Pain seared through her as the pair free fell. The boy pulled something and a parachute came out and he caught her.
“You’re just prepared for anything aren’t you?” She asked as she clung to him. So she didn’t fall to early.
“Butler always taught me to be prepared for anything.”
The pair ditched the chute in a dumpster and ran, she would guess to his car. It was on that day that (Y/n) Al Ghul-Wayne was said to be dead and the day Damian nearly killed Tim.
Age Twenty-One
(Y/n) had grown since the night of her death. Far more intelligent and far more prepared for the world. She gained friends and helped save the world without her family knowing she was alive. That is what made this so nerve wracking as she stood in front of her father’s home. She had been dead for a decade with not even a sliver of anyone thinking she was alive. Artemis had kept his agreement, he never told a soul about you being alive unless needed. It was her death day and she felt a twist of guilt run through her.
Tim had blamed himself for her death, he was there for it but he was too slow. He would believe anything if it meant she was possibly alive, he would do anything to get her back.
Damian, her twin brother, how she missed him. Was he still as cold and closed off as they were when they were kids? Had he changed?
Dick was the caring eldest brother that had lost yet another sibling. He’d blame himself because he had Bruce put her on that mission.
Jason would understand in a different way, he didn’t know (Y/n) but he had heard about her. The only person that could truly calm Damian with a look if she pleased.
Bruce would blame himself more than anything, he sent her on the mission so he thought it was his fault. She had become very close to everyone in the family which only made her death worse.
“Come on (Y/n),” Holly said. “You’ve saved the world how many times and know you’re afraid to knock on a simple door?”
“Holly, this is different! It’s not like Opal is in there and ready to take over the world again, this is my family who thinks I’ve been dead for the past decade!”
Artemis sighed and just knocked on the door, much to (Y/n)’s alarm. “I’m helping you, whether you like it or not.”
The door was opened by Alfred as always, who as soon as he saw the three dropped the tray in his hands. He knew those eyes anywhere, the glint of “I know something you don’t” was still there with a mix of pain from the past and nerves from the present. The residents of Wayne manor stood at the door, looking in shock as Alfred hugged the girl with (Eye color) eyes that had the same look as always. Some wanted this to be a nightmare but the short auburn haired female was smiling so wide as if she had never smiled before. The male was one Tim recognized from the party all those years ago, Artemis Fowl II.
Alfred held the girl at arms length, “Is it really you Mistress (Y/n)?”
“Yeah,” she nodded. “It’s me. I’m alive Alfred. I’m here. Thank Artemis, he was the one who knocked.”
“Yeah, Mudgirl here chickened out,” Holly stated from her spot.
(Y/n) rolled her eyes wiping away the tears and smiled at her family.
“Hi guys, it’s been a while.”

Ranting
Why are people so god damn political on tumblr? I know for a fact that most people on this app don’t want to hear recited news that we’ve heard for the past month. They come on here to read and laugh, if you want to go read the news go online and look it up, watch tv, or go read it on the news app.
I’m tired of hearing how good or bad President Trump is or how horrible this year’s election is. I understand people on here have biases about what is going on and that is normal but it’s annoying to here about when it should be the least of our worries at this moment in time. Yes, I find all the constant talk about Covid-19 on the news annoying but it’s more important than whether the President is good, bad, stupid, or smart. Honestly, I’ve seen more than enough arguments on here about Trump and frankly I’m tired of it.
I come on here to write and read like I do on Wattpad and I’m tired of seeing politics on places where it’s meant to be fun. I’m tired of reading arguements because of things post on Twitter or anywhere else. I’m tired of seeing people fight on a place that is supposed to be fun and bring us together. That’s why I came on here, to write, read, laugh, and make friends not get political and watch arguements.
If you don’t like what I had to say don’t come out an attack me for speaking my mind. I hold bias in the election for personal reasons and I’m not going to share them either, it’s not why I’m here. I just wanted to get this off my chest after I saw an extremely hateful comment section that was so clouded by bias they barely listened to each other.
Thank you for reading my rant, have a good day.

Stone Skipping Final Part
Tumblr media
Summary: The Batfamily has always been so crazy that no one notices the silent sister. She’s made her way through college with no one else realizing, sometimes forgetting about her completely. How many times can she bounce back before sinking?
Warnings: Angst?
Request: Part one wasn’t.
Pairing?: Family; Batfamily x Sister! Reader a small bit of Bart Allen x Reader at the end.
———
The CCPD was calmer than normal, no crimes from any of the rouges but it could not be said by some of the other cities in the country. Work was simple, a catch up day of reports for most. (Y/n) Wayne was looking through a few cases that were thought to be linked. She had been working for the CCPD for the past two years, starting the job in her last year of college.
It had been five years since Damian and her moved to Central City. Damian worked as a veterinarian not too far, though (Y/n) said he would’ve been a good asset to the Police Department as a detective. Both left the lives they lived in Gotham behind, not wanting to go back. They may be the biological heirs to the company but they knew Tim could handle it just fine. Neither (Y/n) or Damian ever made a move to talk to their dad or brothers. Alfred was the only one allowed to stay with them.
"(Y/n), there are two men asking to talk to you," an officer stated.
"What are their names? Because if it's my dad or brother's I don't want to speak with them."
The guy nodded and walked away to go talk to the pair that wanted to talk to her. Quickly she compared fingerprints and weapons from a recent case to one that happened a few months back. The crimes were very similar, too similar in the way they were planned, they had to be connected in some way or shape.
“(Y/n), they said their names were Bart Allen and Jon Kent. Do you still want them to come in?”
A smile graced the young woman’s face and she nodded, “Yes right away.”
Jon, Bart, Damian and (Y/n) were all close friends. They helped each other out and helped each other through school. More often than that they just hung out like normal people and lived normal lives. Inside jokes and random visits were a normalcy among the group, not one falter was possible between them. (Y/n) was going to guess that the man was new to the station since everyone knew who Jon and Bart were. Looking up as two figures she stood up sharply a glare in her eyes. Now she was certain the man was new or paid off, no one would let those two in to talk to her. It was common knowledge that the (Y/n) and Damian Wayne didn't talk to the rest of their family and everyone knew who was in the group.
She tapped her bracelet that went unnoticed at the sight of the two. Damian would come as soon as possible, as would Bart and Jon. She needed to get away from these two, now.
"Sit down sis, we just want to chat."
"There is nothing to chat about Timothy. Why did you and Richard come? You know I want nothing to do with Gotham or the rest of our family. So why are you two bothering me while I'm clearly working?"
Both men frowned at her, "Look we just wanted to apologize about-"
"About what?” (Y/n) cut off. She was well aware that her co-workers were getting ready to move the two young men if needed. “About forgetting my existence for all the time you’ve known me? Only showing you cared when I left for Central? Richard, Timothy, if you wanted anytime to apologize then it should have been soon after I left. It’s been five years, not five weeks, five years. I’ve made a life for myself and so has Damian, we don’t plan on leaving our new lives.
“If you wished to apologize then go ahead apologize, that doesn’t mean a I’ll be forgiving you for what you did. You can talk to Damian, that is if he doesn’t punch you first.” She nodded as she looked past the two and to her friends and little brother. None of them looked happy, in fact Damian looked ready to murder both of them, Tim mostly.
“Honestly, don’t you remember when we skipped stones?” Dick tried to get to her. All he got was a blank look and a nod. “We had fun and we were siblings.”
“The key words in that sentence are had and were. Dick, you have no right to come here and make sure she talks to you.”
Dick looked at Bart in surprise of what came out of the young speedster’s mouth. Jon nodded in agreement and Damian was faster than you could blink. One second he was next to Jon and the next he was in front of Tim. The only things holding back were his morals and Jon’s grip on his arm.
“(Y/n) we can remove them from the premises if you wish.”
“That won’t be necessary Captain. I’m sorry for the disruption, may I leave early?”
“Of course.”
The woman packed her things and grabbed Tim’s and Dick’s arms before dragging them out with her three boys behind her, all chuckling in amusement. Soon they reached a small diner where the six got a table.
“Why are you two here?” (Y/n) questioned. She looked Tim dead in the eye and he couldn’t help but remember the night she had left, the day right before Damian’s graduation. Dick couldn’t believe how much his sister had grown from when he last saw her on Christmas about six or seven years back.
“We wanted to talk,” Dick replied, he was trying hard to stay calm but couldn’t as Jon sat next to him, giving him pointed glares.
Damian rolled his eyes from across Jon, “Well, we’re talking. You better say what you need to by the time this early dinner ends. We have places to be.”
“The winter festival,” Tim guessed. “We know what you four have been up to for the past few years. You all volunteer at homeless shelters, help out where ever your needed, only as your civil identities. You four are like everyday heroes that help with the small stuff.”
“While that is all correct, why have you been keeping tabs on us in the first place?” Damian questioned, his eyes zeroed in on the older men.
Dick shrugged, “Wanted to make sure our little siblings are well and safe.”
The two Waynes scoffed and rolled their eyes, glancing down at the menus. They both doubted that was the reason why they tried to corner (Y/n) at her job. The waitress took their drink orders and hurried off but the tension still stood.
“Look, why are you really here? What could you possibly know?”
“Enough,” Tim said causally. “Damian’s a veterinarian, not that I’m surprised by that. You’re a forensic sciencetist, that was a little startling seeing as you went to medical school. Jon’s a journalist like Clark, one of the best actually which is surprising, I always remembered you as a goof ball. Bart is also a scienctist that specializes in physics. All four of you live in Central City, right across the hall from each other in fact. (Y/n) and Damian live in the same apartment that the had moved into and Jon and Bart live as roommates right around the hall. However, Jon and Damian spend more time with each other while Bart and (Y/n) spend more time with each other. Should we be worried about that?”
“Should you even care?” Bart snapped. “These are our personal lives and no offense Drake, we don’t want you in it. You had your shot and you missed it.”
“Look, we just want to set a new play field,” Dick began. “We don’t have to be friends though we’d prefer it. We know being siblings is out of the question so friends?”
“Acquaintances,” Damian spoke up. “We’ll see about friends in the future but we’re acquaintances. I don’t forgive you for what you’ve done and by the look in (Y/n)’s not forgiving you guys either.”
“Damian’s correct, I don’t forgive you and nor will I be your friend at this time. We will only be acquaintances and nothing more. I have not intention on being your sister in any time.”
The six sat in silence, a little less tension than before. Soon after dinner was over they went their separate ways. Though Dick and Tim were not Damian and (Y/n)’s siblings and would never be, perhaps becoming friends would be better. The pair went back to Gotham and informed everyone of what had happened, no one was overly pleased. The group of four however enjoyed the rest of their evening laughing and talking all happy that the festival was taking place.
There were things that had changed over the past five years like stones being skipped.
First, Damian stopped being so serious and stiff. He would talk, laugh, and joke like most people his age would. He enjoyed his life as he lived it and didn’t insult people unless they deserved it. The press and media saw the change of the Past Gotham Prince and people saw him as he had truly become. A young man with a love for animals who was actually a truly caring person that would help anyone and everyone.
Second, (Y/n) had let her emotions take more control over her thoughts and actions than she normally had. She was able to help as many people as she could both in and out of her job. She was great at her job and people seemed to recognize her as more than just a silent and pretty face. She was a smart woman and was ready for most anything and to help those who needed it. She wasn’t Gotham City’s princess anymore but a Central City Hero.
Third, Jon had indeed moved to Central City and followed Clark’s footsteps as he became one of the best journalists known around the nation. He gave his adoptive parents a run for their money as he wrote and got his stories published. His powers helped him, especially his super hearing which could pick up most conversations that he wanted to hear. He was a favorite in Central City for his writing, it was something that surprised those closest to him but he had a natural talent for it.
Fourth, Bart gave up the superhero gig and started a normal life. He’d get called in about once every year for an extreme emergency and that was all he’d listen to. He didn’t have an easy job as a physicist as it was a complicated task but he enjoyed it none the less. He was one of the best in the city.
Fifth, Bart and (Y/n) had gotten together, but they didn’t go public. Last thing they wanted was for the press and media to find out so they just acted like good friends in front of people. It hasn’t changed the group’s dynamic at all, they were all great friends and that would never stop.
They had changed into people they never thought they would be. All four were happy, glad to have each other and glad to have left.
“Stone skipping?” Damian asked as they got hot chocolate.
“I was naive, thought it was fun. I liked to see how far I could get it to skip before sinking.”
The group smiled and joked around, teasing each other as the winter festival brought joy to everyone there. Even so, Damian couldn’t help but think that people themselves were like skipping stones, they could only go so far before they sunk to their lowest point. It was only a matter of time before someone went to pick them back up again and test how far they could go once again and doing better than before, perhaps even reaching the goal that was set. It was a never ending cycle and he couldn’t help but smile even more as he realized that his sister was like an embodiment of that cycle.
———
Note: I don’t know why, but writing the last part made me very emotional. When writing this chapter I realized what Damian had and I hope I’ve entertained you! You can message me request if you want me to write something but I hope you all have a good day and enjoyed what I wrote. Also shoutout to @lizlil for being so kind and writing what she had. But shoutout to everyone that liked the story or commented on them.
