Probably it's a hot take, but I don't think the problem with jiara is that Kiara could have been lesbian and JJ a bi mess. I don't blame it on "the straights", also because we have all supported John B and Sarah, or at least Cleo and Pope I imagine, ain't no problem with those ships being straight. Personality is not sexuality anyway, and I would have preferred both to remain single regardless. Also, jiara could have been nice for diversity points I guess.

My problems with this ship are the complete butchery of the characters that it brings and the complete lack of chemistry. That's it.

And to me it's far more relevant.

Sad part is that people forget that "I'm not like the other girls" sometimes isn't chosen, is a position bullies put you in.

You try so desperately to be a part of the main group, sometimes even hiding your true self, just to keep getting rejected.

The whole meme started for "out" girls to accept that they didn't have to shred themselves to fit in. And I think that's okay.

Something that really infuriates me is people on Goodreads who define Tolkien's books as "too heavy", "too descriptive", "too prolix"... and then you discover that they give five stars to Sarah J Maas' books.

Like, listen. You're free to enjoy your romance content (cause that's what it is, romance), it's totally valid, but leave Fantasy alone. They're two totally different reading levels.

Honestly it saddens me a bit that writing and reading skills have become so simplified and superficial that now LOTR seems unapproachable. To supposedly fantasy readers.

(This is not meant as hate, but since some of y'all like to sh1t on Tolkien and other masters... might as well defend them.)

It's 2024... am I the only one still concerned about Andy's wellbeing? I saw BVB live in November, finally got the time to read his book, and tried hard to convince myself that he could really be happy. I know he has anxiety and I don't like being sus of his relationship online. Plus, yeah, I'm well aware that he is an adult and supposedly he can make his own decisions. BUT. Especially because he seems to be in a better place now, there's something not clicking with Lilith/Juliet. Andy's book did not give ANY explanations to past mistakes and she seems like an angel there. He seems to have found himself, but his ✨spark✨ does not seem to be sparkling around her. Aside of all the "conspiratorial" territories (I'm scared of false information so I try to avoid those), a documented slap is still a slap, and after the whole Johnny Depp trial I think people should be aware that abu5e has no gender. Roles reversed, he would have been still treated like Ashley. Some people now even seem to blame ANDY for his decision of staying with Juliet/Lilith, when it could well be that it's NOT a decision. I'm afraid that he has been a boiling frog in the relationship with her, and for how much I hope I'm wrong, I'm not convinced at all of them still. Other thing that is not clicking is how is it possible that all of his loving family and friends are allowing this situation, if it's truly something toxic. HELP, does anyone still care?

Call to action against some AI distopyan sh1t future... let's start going back to paper and pen, to traditional art (and commissions to artists), to photos on film, to movies on film or disk, to music on disks and vynils, to live concerts, to enciclopedias (who are more reliable anyway, people are starting to realise), to irl hobby clubs (book clubs, movie clubs, sports clubs...), to irl games, to going to the places you see online, to meet irl the people you care about... A total going back is not possible, but we can unlearn the total depending we have on the web. Just saying, how better and more exciting life could be, with also the benefit of preventing disasters.

I've hardly seen anyone address the fact that Warren Peace literally speaks chinese...

My cute and sad headcanon is that, when he was younger and his father went to jail, he just started working to help his mother out. Probably that restaurant was the only one that allowed him to work that early. The woman we see there was actually a sort of auntie figure for him, helping, supporting and teaching him the language. Also, in my head, she has a son who works as a chef for the restaurant and he's Warren best friend... like that man needs a bro in his life.
