ATTENTION! COZINESS AHEAD!

In the morning after the session, I find myself revisiting (for the nth time) the Wikipedia page on Ashtanga, 8 limbs of Yoga. It is Patanjali’s classification of classical yoga. The 8 limbs are discussed in detail by Paramahansa Yogananda and Swami Vivekananda in their talks and writings. Limbs 6 & 7 are Dharana and Dhyana respectively.

The reason I am looking up those two terms is because the highlight of last night’s meditation is the way my attention felt. It’s a first. My attention has never felt this way before.

My experience of my attention through more than 2 decades of a meditation practice is that it is just like a 2 year old toddler. Long before I began meditating, my attention had learned to move around and now it doesn’t know how to stop.

If the attention is let go of, it can run into directions that are most dangerous for its own wellbeing. If one holds onto one’s attention too hard, it can turn rebellious. Either ways, attention can’t be given to meditation.

In meditation, one has to let go of one’s attention. One has to observe where the attention is going. With the realisation that the attention has gone too far from the mantra given to it, you have to cajole it back to its seat in your mind. Your will power, while dealing with the toddler like attention, has to be gentle and without an ounce of strain.

My attention has behaved this way for more than 2 decades. Every new depth of mind has come as a surprise. How toddlers weep when they see a familiar face without the moustache on it that they are even more familiar with. My attention has consistently shied away from the uncertainties of a new depth.

I can’t remember last night’s meditation. My attention was tucked so deep into my mind, that I can’t remember exactly how the meditation went. There was this one moment that stands out because of how the attention felt.

My attention felt cozily tucked in the depths it was at. Closing the meditation and coming back to regular conscious thoughts felt harsh in comparison. My attention didn’t want to leave the deeply comfortable place it was at. That’s a first.

I effortlessly logged 17 extra minutes to a preset 1 hour, 18 minutes timer. This happened the night before last. And last night, I logged 5 extra minutes to a preset 1 hour 19 minutes. The good news is that I am exceeding the predetermined duration. The not so great news is that I am stopping when my attention loses steam holding ground in the depths it is at.

Here is what I found on the Wikipedia page on limbs 6 and 7 of the 8 limbed classical approach to yoga:

‘Dharana is a state of mind, Dhyana is the process of mind. Dhyana is distinct from Dharana in that the meditator becomes actively engaged with its focus.’

This is the tent of the families in Balfour. And below the tent nearer the house of Netanyahu when the weather is good. There are those in the Likud who seem intent on endangering us more and more......there is Almog Cohen..Almog Cohen, who is listed in the seventh slot of Religious Zionism’s party list, posted a photo over the weekend referencing the alleged assault on his Facebook page. Cohen,a former riot police officer, can be seen kneeling on three men in the photo, who are tied-up and lying on the ground.Cohen captioned the photo saying that “those on the ground remember what I did in the army,” adding a winking face emoji. Just to give you a taste of the PDF below. But he did more damage when he started to report on the army finding babies hanging on a clothes line, about a woman who went through the Holocaust and gave her name......all this was denied by the army spokesman and yet he again repeated this to foreign networks. There was no such horrible scene and there was no woman by the name he gave from the kibbutz. Was what the Hamas did not bad enough for him?.

And then there was the woman politician Silman who claims that she was slapped by a demonstrator though there is no video evidence. True, two people claimed they saw it happening. Maybe it did, but the police immediately arrested the woman. She was held overnight in the women's jail and was so stressed that she fainted in the witness stand and though there was a doctor in the courtroom, he was not allowed to go to her and in the end she was taken by ambulance to hospital. I don't know what the outcome will be but I would suggest they take both of them and the two witnesses to a test of truth.....forgottem what word is.

I said to a friend that I wished they would do so and maybe they would understand what those in the south went through. But my friend said to me that if the settlers did go there we can be sure that there will be all the protection they need from the army. Not as happened on the 7th October where practically all the soldiers in the area were sent to protect the settlers holding a party in Hawarra and I am sure that then every soldier serving in the area will be armed with guns if not cannons.

Truth be told, this came as quite the pleasant surprise, because while she does have moments in which she's considerate, I don't view this particular MC as someone who's truly capable of being sensitive to others that much. Sure, she didn't directly agree to sleep with Belial when he offered because she thought he was still unwell, but here I honestly still expected her to just jump right in and not think twice about Leviathan's feelings, so I was very happy when she said this instead; she didn't focus on the fact that he dislikes her, but rather on not risking hurting him should he not want to do this with her. He's definitely attracted to you though, MC. He's just not on good terms with the concept of expressing his feelings relatable as fuck I know how this may have sounded harsh or mean of me—and it's not meant to be offend anyone—but the truth is that this MC wasn't created with 'gentle and sweet' in mind; the way her brain is hardwired to tirelessly daydream about sexual things has lead her to be insensitive at times (with painfully questionable intelligence to top it off, sorry) as seen in certain instances.

That being said, it's really nice how she cares about Minhyeok so much that it's the foundation of her rage and the reason Satan's wrath burns in her, urging her to harm Leviathan in a frenzy after he said ruthless things about Minhyeok. Meanwhile, Leviathan is so busy trying to get turned on that he's neither jealous nor envious of that lmao

update XXI: this is going to sound weird coming from me when I'm somewhat of a sadist who likes dark themes, loves horror and gore, and enjoys seeing torture in certain scenarios do I sound like the freak I am yet? and when I just made such a fucked up joke with good intentions too, but...MC hurting Leviathan over and over like this summons a feeling of discomfort and remorse in my heart even if I completely put away my dislike for consensual violence in sexual acts. Leviathan's past and the possible psychological implications behind his fondness of undergoing physical harm make this part somewhat painful to read, because perhaps his arousal from being hurt has something to do with what he went through as a child (i.e. it may be a coping mechanism of a sort). When I think of it that way, coupled with the horrific aspects of his childhood—the pain being inflicted on him messes with my emotions. Then again, this could just be his personal preference and not have deeper meanings. Either way, the game holds true to its themes and maintains excellent dark perspectives, and as I always say, I'll never dislike that. In fact, PB better keep these founding concepts intact.

+notes: I was violently wishing for a Leviathan's-clothes-are-still-on-during-sex CG, so when the CG came up and there was no MC on top of him, I was disappointed for a short minute short because then I looked at his face and his godly position spread legs and how he's on the ground like that...mmm lol

It's a change of pace, new. For WHB, at least—since it isn't like previous CGs—but it's heart-throbbing in its own way; seeing cold, pretty Leviathan on the floor like that, meek with his red cheeks...slurp a delicacy.

Ahem, anyways. The CG took me down memory lane somewhat, back to my first otome-playing-days from about 10+ years ago. Whenever the 'Happy Ending' CG was of the male lead alone, I always disliked that because I WANTED TO SEE *THE COUPLE* DOING THINGS, DAMMIT (even though the wildest things players saw characters do in CGs back in those days were mostly kisses lol until they got more daring, that is).

So yeah, while I did feel sort of disappointed when I first saw this CG, while I do prefer CGs like those of previous H-scenes, and while I still wish I could've seen Leviathan and MC in action, at the same time this CG is *chef's kiss* for obvious reasons and also due to how I feel like it suits Leviathan very well in a way. He's built walls about his heart and boundaries around himself, so it's as though the game won't let players see him like they did the men before him (in the main story), if that makes sense. I'm also hoping his shirt stayed on during sex

First smile 🌞

Literally, the moment I finished drawing his smile, my heart flutterred— this is the Qarqa'ah I missed and wished to see the smile of, for so long, he was not the kind to dish out a toothy smile, he had the silent gripping grins that were either so profoundly proud or mysteriously mischievous, but on a whim, he does now — with some vampire thoothies too! Was just just paint-doodling him on his wobbly broom 🧹

22-27.1.2024

lectures have started this week but i can't go back right now. which kinda sucks but we move on 😔. anyhow, i got started on my new psych modules & wrote my notes for art history, which was...........an experience. i haven't studied art history before so it was a lot to take in. i've deducted it's just english lit but with art.

i have also started re-working my novel. it just seemed really stuck before & everything i did didn't really seem to work so i've basically decided to start from scratch but keeping a few core elements.

on this blog i mostly just reblog whatever appears on my dash from funny and stupid memes to serious political stuff. i hardly ever tag with content warnings when i reblog on this blog, but with original posts (#my post) and on my art blog, i always do (at least i try to).

so what type of person am i? well, art is a big part of my life. i mostly make digital art but i do have a musical side to me as well, it's just not blossoming as well as my visually artistic side is. i'm also an aspiring writer. i wish to make a dramatic comic book someday.

when it comes to social interactions, i am quite shy but i've been trying to work on my social anxiety (and i've been making progress lately). i've always struggled with loneliness but since last year i've been managing to fight that off a little as well. being autistic interacting with people has always been problematic for me, since i tend to overthink things and get things wrong.

i also tend to ask a lot of questions, which annoys some people. being an overthinker and a question-asker and trying to find the middle ground between asking too many questions and not knowing enough, it's... distressing :,D. like i don't wanna be annoying, but i also want to know if i'm being annoying, y'know? but recently i've been asking fewer questions since i've slowly been learning that the voice inside my head which tells me i'm being annoying is lying to me most of the time. but i'm also asking more questions since i'm not as worried about people thinking i'm annoying as before. that's confusing...

i'm transmasculine and nonbinary and i wish to go on HRT someday. since summer 2023 i've known it's something i want to do at some point. unfortunately, i have to get my life together first before i can actually pursue this opportunity, which has turned out to be challenging... (yes, i have depression, how did you know?)

i'm also asexual, greyaromantic, panromantic, and agender.

i'm a very enthusiastic supporter of topfreedom and the Free the Nipple -campaign, and it shows in the posts and the art i make. we as a society need to work towards eliminating this misogynistic double standard that sexualises female-presenting nipples if we value gender equality and wish to move towards a fairer world. anything men can do topless (i.e. go to the beach or a public swimming pool, appear on tv and social media etc.), women should be allowed to do as well. there is no gender equality without nipple equality. if you claim to be a feminist but don't support topfreedom, you're a hypocrite.
