headcanon 5
Rocket was taken from Earth/Terra around the exact same time as Quill. Intergalactic attention is increasingly on Terra in the late 1980s (the Kree are searching for Mar-Vell, Skrull refugees are moving in, Ravagers are trawling for Ego’s son. Both Quill and Danvers get snatched within about a year of each other). This is when the High Evolutionary’s attention is also drawn to Terra, and he harvests his initial crop of Terran wildlife, as well as his concept of Terran culture, as we see play out on CounterEarth / HalfWorld.
It’s possible that Rocket and Quill were scooped within days of each other. Within miles of each other. It’s possible that a distressed and grieving eight-year-old Pete, in the days before his mother’s death, was roaming around outside the hospital while his grandfather went to pick up some dinner for them both from the cafeteria. It’s possible that he stumbled across a tiny den of raccoons high up in a tree, and they watched him curiously while he kicked rocks and scrubbed at his wet eyes. This little boy - who is angry and mourning his dying mother, who gets into fights for protecting small frogs, whose teachers lament his behavior as if he’s not going through one of the worst things a kid can go through - sees these tiny animals peering down at him with their big eyes and their dark masks, and for just a minute - for maybe the first time in days or weeks or longer - he smiles.

Llamas are members of the camelid family meaning they're pretty closely related to vicuñas and camels.
Camelids first appeared on the Central Plains of North America about 40 million years ago. About 3 million years ago, llamas' ancestors migrated to South America.
During the last ice age (10,000-12,000 years ago) camelids went extinct in North America. Now there are around 160,000 llamas and 100,000 alpacas in the United States and Canada.
Llamas were first domesticated and used as pack animals 4,000 to 5,000 years ago in the Peruvian highlands.
Llamas can grow as much as 6 feet tall though the average llama between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 9 inches tall.
Llamas weigh between 280 and 450 pounds and can carry 25 to 30 percent of their body weight, so a 400-pound male llama can carry about 100 to 120 pounds on a trek of 10 to 12 miles with no problem.
Llamas know their own limits. If you try to overload a llama with too much weight, the llama is likely to lie down or simply refuse to move.
In the Andes Mountains of Peru, llama fleece has been shorn and used in textiles for about 6,000 years. Llama wool is light, warm, water-repellent, and free of lanolin.
Llamas are hardy and well suited to harsh environments. They are quite sure-footed, easily navigating rocky terrain at high altitudes.
Llamas are smart and easy to train.
Llamas have been used as guard animals for livestock like sheep or even alpacas in North America since the '80s. They require almost no training to be an effective guard.
Llamas don't bite. They spit when they're agitated, but that's mostly at each other. Llamas also kick and neck wrestle each other when agitated.
Llamas are vegetarians and have very efficient digestive systems.
A llama's stomach has three compartments. They are called the rumen, omasum, and abomasum. A cow's stomach has four compartments. Like cows, llamas must regurgitate and re-chew their food to digest it completely.
Llama poop has almost no odor. Llama farmers refer to llama manure as "llama beans." It makes for a great, eco-friendly fertilizer. Historically, the Incas in Peru burned dried llama poop for fuel.
Llamas live to be about 20 years old. Though some only live for 15 years and others live to be 30 years old.
A baby llama is called a "cria" which is Spanish for baby. It's pronounced KREE-uh. Baby alpacas, vicuñas, and guanacos are also called crias. Mama llamas usually only have one baby at a time and llama twins are incredibly rare. Pregnancy lasts for about 350 days, nearly a full year. Crias weigh 20 to 35 pounds at birth.
Llamas come in a range of solid and spotted colors including black, gray, beige, brown, red, and white.
Llamas are social animals and prefer to live with other llamas or herd animals. The social structure of llamas changes frequently and a male llama can move up the social ladder by picking, and winning, small fights with the leader of the group.
A group of llamas is called a herd.
Llamas have two wild "cousins" that have never been domesticated: the vicuña and the guanaco. The Guanaco is closely related to the llama. Vicuñas are thought to be the ancestors of alpacas.
The current population of llamas and alpacas in South America is estimated to be more than 7 million.
Yarn made from llama fiber is soft and lightweight, yet remarkably warm. The soft, undercoat is used for garments and handicrafts while the coarse, outer coat is frequently used for rugs and ropes.
Trying to tell the difference between a llama and an alpaca? Two obvious things to look for: Llamas are generally about twice the size of alpacas, and alpacas have short, pointy ears, whereas llamas have much longer ears that stand straight up and give them an alert look.

Alan J Smith, Washington state Inmate 381201, born 1976, incarceration intake in 2015 at age 39; sentenced to 28.6 years; scheduled release date not published
Murder
In Mach 2015, about 30 people packed into an Everett courtroom 5 to hear the sentencing of Alan Smith who was convicted of killing his estranged wife, Susann Smith, in Feb. 2013.   The 37-year-old mother of two was found face down in the bathtub in her Bothell home. She’d been repeatedly beaten before she was dragged into the bathroom and drowned.
Ultimately, Smith was sentenced to 28.6 years, minus time served, and 36 months of community custody after release from prison by Snohomish County Superior Court Judge Linda Krees. It was an intense and emotional hearing for all involved and Smith spoke to courtroom for on the second time during the past month.
Prosecutors alleged that Smith was angry because his divorce wasn’t going the way he wanted. He had racked up a large debt and feared that his wife was going to take their children to her native Germany.
Evidence showed that the killer carefully tried to cover his tracks. Bothell detectives never found the murder weapon, believed to be a rubber mallet.
Smith was arrested four months after the killing. A man he met at church reported that Smith confessed to the murder. Smith had sought the man’s advice on how to handle his then-girlfriend, a mentally ill woman. She later committed suicide.
The same court convicted Smith a month ealrier of premeditated murder in the first degree with a deadly weapon.
Craig Matheson, prosecutor, requested the 344-month sentence with 36 months of community custody, along with no contact with any of the witnesses who testified in the case and limited contact to he and Susann’s two children.
Alan Smith spoke on his own behalf, waiving the counsel he had been appointed. He question some of the fees being assessed, many required by statute, and the no contact with his children.
Smith has already served 20 months since his arrest on June 27, 2013. The court imposed the required fees, around $600.
Smith appealed his conviction.  The former Boeing engineer wasn’t able to convince the state Court of Appeals that his confession to a former pastor should have been protected by the clergy-penitent privilege.
In his appeal, Smith argued that Snohomish County Superior Court Linda Krese shouldn’t have allowed the man’s testimony. Smith claimed that the man was acting as a member of the clergy, and therefore their conversation was privileged. The man reported Smith’s comments to police when he couldn’t convince him to surrender to police.
The man had been an associate pastor at a Tacoma church but left and joined another church, where he was part of the congregation, but not a member of the clergy.

The Marvels (2023) - REVIEW
Tumblr media
SYNOPSIS
When the new leader of the Kree Empire threatens the worlds she protects, Captain Marvel/Carol Danvers sets to save them but her quest is complicated when her powers are linked with those of SABER Agent Monica Rambeau and 16 year old high school girl, Ms Marvel/Kamala Khan.
youtube
The latest entry to the Marvel Cinematic Universe lands at a very difficult time when questions are being asked about the quality of its output as well as whether audience fatigue with superhero movies in general is now a major factor. The box office certainly doesn't bode well and to be fair, The Marvels isn't likely to win over any naysayers however it is none the less a film that is refreshingly lean, not too taxing and a whole lot of fun. Part of the issue for me is timing, The Marvels certainly isn't a Civil War, Infinity War or Endgame level event and does nothing to propel forward what is increasingly becoming a stagnating arc for the MCU. The action set pieces are creative, Zawe Ashton does what she can with another run of the mill villain however the film is undoubtedly at its best when Brie Larson, Teyonah Parris and Iman Vellani share the screen together.
Tumblr media
As a sequel to 2019's Captain Marvel, this is a much breezier affair with Brie Larson's Carol Danvers clearly having a lot more fun this time around. Larson's Danvers and Parris' Rambeau have the more complicated relationship of the three but their estrangement doesn't lead to the predictable conflict you might expect and instead the writers rightly for me don't drag this out too far along. The real MVP however is Iman Vellani's ever fangirling Kamala Khan whose infectious joy for just being there consistently steals the show and is a delight throughout.
Tumblr media
Although it's true that the Marvels doesn't really do much to challenge the MCU formula, it is refreshingly short, doesn't outstay its welcome nor does it feel too overstuffed. The power switching is cleverly edited and leads to some creative set pieces while a visit to the planet Aladna will undoubtedly challenge parts of the audience but is none the less one of the films boldest and funniest moments. Yet despite having a cosmic setting, the story never feels too consequential even with the planetary stakes involved so credit must be given to the three leads plus support from Samuel L Jackson's Nick Fury, Zenobia Shroff and Mohan Kapur to keep this a lighter and more humorous affair.
Tumblr media
VERDICT
Maybe it's not the film that the MCU particularly needed right now as it is less consequential than Quantumania but it this does remember to be a lot of fun. Larson, Parris and Vellani have great chemistry and the film has plenty of laughs, a few bold creative choices and while its timing may be questionable, it remains worth your time.

GENIS-VELL: CAPTAIN MARVEL
Anyone who’s been following for a while or watches the Omniverse Comics Guide podcast knows I’m a HUGE Peter David fan. The pleasure that guy’s writing has brought me rivals that of a lonely housewife’s wand massager. But, y’know, in a very different way. Peter’s return to Genis-Vell sounded pretty exciting, especially with Juanan Ramirez providing the art, but I was still skeptical. Is there really a need to try and recapture the old magic? The answer, sadly is… not quite. We begin with a resurrection, which was one of the primary reasons why I dropped Marvel eight years ago. And sure the gags are there, along with the old references (some of which are patronisingly spelled out - which felt like more of an editorial decision), the magic isn’t quite there. I normally have little interest in Marvel’s reem of ‘untold tales’ titles and their vane efforts to bring back lost readers. And while this is the second time it’s worked on me (the first being ‘Joe Fixit’), I’m not convinced it’ll work ever again. Not a bad comic by any means, but it was impossible not to think about the other comics I could’ve been reading.

Hear me out: Captain Marvel is Noobmaster69.
1) Brie Larson plays Fortnite.
2) Noobmaster69, considering the era of 2023, sounds like a name that a 50 year old trying to get "down with the kids" would pick - Carol is canonically around 50 during Endgame.
3) Fortnite is considered cringey nowadays (conveniently 2023). Carol hasn't been on earth since the 90's and probably wasn't on earth very often during the Blip, and would have no clue that it would be considered cringe.
4) In Captain Marvel we see Carol playing arcade games in a flashback. She might have wanted to see what videogames were like nowadays, therefore, pick something fairly easy to learn.
4) Out of the entire MCU, we only see Korg and Thor play Fortnite, both of whom are aliens. Carol is an alien hybrid, so she fits the population sample.
5) The Kree and the Asgardians have canonically had a lot of drama between them, so it would explain why Noobmaster is annoying Thor (Thor speaks as if he's talked to Noobmaster more than once).
6) But couldn't Thor just hear that it was Carol, you say? Voice changers exist. We know from Ms Marvel that Carol is somewhat famous. Therefore it would make sense for her to use a voice changer so she wouldn't get bothered by fans whilst trying to game.
7) It explains what she was doing during Endgame - Fortnite matches can be pretty time consuming depending on what game mode you're playing on.
8) Carol Danvers is 100% the type of person to make a 69 joke.

Ms Marvel Clues that the djinn reveal could be a misdirect aka I still want to clown:
Unless this scene was removed, it is still going to happen?
Tumblr media
The writing in the underground cave is not Arabic or Urdu. It looks more like Kree letters. Here's a comparison with Season 5 of Agents of Shield which features the Kree. The writing evolves throughout the seasons. Edit: I see the writing is EXACTLY like Shang-Chi and therefore real East Asian script and not Kree? I'm confused about why this would be associated with South Asians in SA.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Again the Kree have ancient underground lairs or temples as shown on AoS just like Najma's unreliable recount:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Najma clearly unearths a blue hand which is the color of the Kree, of course. We also already have a set pic of Kamala with the Kree aliens in The Marvels... so surely her association with them has to be personal? Fairha also picks up a Kree helmet if I'm not mistaken?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Overall I know Najma is definitely lying about parts of the story but a Kree association would mean this was a complete misdirect.
The discussion of Kamran potentially having powers was also very vague. How are there multiple artifacts from the djinn dimension?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Finally why on earth would Kamala go to space and join Fury and Carol and Monica if she's not Kree in some way? Why would they ask a 16 year old to join them?

Hypothetical set-up for “What If...?” season 2:
FRAMING DEVICE
Before the events of “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”, America Chavez (Xochitl Gomez reprises her role) encounters Uatu the Watcher. Curious about the girl, Uatu decides to help her find her moms, who are lost somewhere in the multiverse.
So pretty much, America is Uatu’s co-host this season.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
EPISODES
1) Starts off with the Gamora and Iron Man episode that was meant for season 1
2) What if Phil Coulson was never stabbed? (the change: The Avengers still form, but aren’t as unified since it was Coulson’s death that brought them together. The Avengers disband early)
3) What if Bruce was the monster and Hulk was the man? (the change: Bruce Banner grew up as a bitter, angry, violent man. Since Hulk is Bruce’s opposite, this version of the Hulk is a meek, kind man who prefers peace. Based on an actual What If comic)
4) What if Shang-Chi moved to New York City instead of San Francisco? (the change: During the Battle of NYC in 2012, Clint Barton saves a 13-year-old Shang-Chi instead of Kate Bishop. This leads to Shang-Chi becoming a Hawkeye fanboy, resulting in a very different version of the Hawkeye show)
5) What if Captain Marvel joined the Guardians of the Galaxy? (the change: Due to Carol’s reputation, the Guardians are accidentally dragged into the Kree-Skrull War. Several Guardians are killed in the ensuing conflict)
6) What if...FUTURE??? (the change: During the events of Endgame, a glitch in the Quantum Realm GPS results in Thor and Rocket Raccoon being accidentally sent to the year 2099. Based on the comics of the same name)
7) What if Khonshu chose Yelena Belova as his avatar? (the change: Yelena is sent on a mission to Egypt during her time as a Black Widow agent. She encounters Khonshu’s statue and agrees to be his avatar in order to go after General Dreykov and dismantle the Red Room)
8) What if the Maximoff twins were raised by the Zemo family? (the change: Wanda and Pietro grow up in a rich baron’s household, resulting in them becoming irresponsible, social media influencers. Basically...Party Wanda and Party Pietro)
POST-CREDIT: Episode 8 ends with America Chavez and Uatu being chased by a monster sent by MCU Wanda Maximoff. America gets separated from Uatu and ends up in a fucked up universe that even Uatu isn’t aware of.
9 and 10) The Universe Below All: Two-part finale. America finds herself in a universe that has been completely corrupted somehow. It’s later revealed that this is the lair of the One Below All, a multiversal-level being that represents the dark side of the multiverse. The finale is centered on Uatu trying to save America and America trying to find a way out of this hellish universe.
POST-CREDIT: Uatu introduces America Chavez to Defender Strange, leading into the events of “Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness”.

*SPOILERS*
No eyepatch? Guess since Fury's back on Earth, he can't wear that cause he'd be too recognizable with it on. Also, he's got a limp? Then again, it's been a long time, so Fury ain't really at his prime. Dude's getting old, and I don't know if he'll do well in physical fights now.
Okay, I got a lot of questions. 1. Talos' wife is dead?! When did that happen? 2. Why did Fury leave Earth after he got brought back from the snap? Was it because of being gone for 5 years, and Natasha and Tony's deaths took a toll on him mentally? Was that actually him at Tony's funeral in Endgame or was that a Skrull in disguise? 3. Where the hell is Carol?! This couldn't be due to the events of The Marvels movie, so what happened to her? Did the Kree capture her or something? 4. They seriously couldn't find a home for 30 years? 5. So, because Fury didn't bother coming back to Earth, Talos got kicked out and exiled from his council, the rest of the Skrulls are pissed that he left, and this new guy Gravik is the new leader? And he's even more pissed at Fury for leaving them? So, you mean to tell me that all this could've been avoided if Fury didn't leave or still kept contact with them? Cause that's what it feels like?

there's so much to impact so i'll just go down the list of whats been announced (and leaked)
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (Feb 17, 2023)
i have no thoughts on this movie. i am excited for more Kang lore and for Cassie to be a bug (?) but that's about it. i hope Luis returns
Secret Invasion (Spring 2023)
okay so i get the Skrulls and Kree mixed up but after googling it i now remember the difference
i am honestly really excited for more Fury and Maria. i miss Fury and Maria had so much potential so i'm just. i'm vibing with this one
Guardians of the Galaxy vol. 3 (May 5, 2023)
i'm only slightly more excited for this one than for Quantumania
i do remember hearing that this'll be basically the end of the GotG (feel free to correct me if i'm wrong) so i'm kinda sad but if it's anything like the other two films i'm so ready for this one
Echo (Summer 2023)
FUCK.
I'M SO
FUUUUUUUCK
Jessica Jones better show up at the end of this one >:(
but in all seriousness Echo seems like a really cool character and I can't wait to see and learn more about her (and see more of Fisk?)
Loki s2 (Summer 2023)
The Marvels (July 28, 2023)
I heard it was gonna be part musical?? idk i'm not looking forward to that part. could work with Joker but not with the Marvels, sorry
but! i am excited to see more Maria and Kamala
my theory is that Carol found the second bangle and that's how her and Kamala switched places
Blade (Nov 3, 2023)
tbh i know nothing about Blade other than he hunts vampires and Eternals was supposed to set this up
and also that there was already a Blade movie
should i watch the old Blade movie? was it good?
imagine if he kills Morbius in the movie.
Ironheart (Fall 2023)
i'm actually pretty excited for this one despite hardly knowing anything about the character!!
i know Riri is gonna be in Black Panther II so i bet it'll set this show up
Agatha: Coven of Chaos (Winter 2023/Early 2024)
ok imma be honest, i think i'm least excited for this one
idk! i liked Agatha as a one-off villain, i didn't really see her character going anywhere after WandaVision
i have no idea whats gonna happen in this show. is her husband finally gonna show up or
Daredevil: Born Again (Spring 2024)
- HOLY FUCKING SHIT
I'M SO FUCKING
I WANT TO PUKE (/pos)
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
Captain America: New World Order (May 3, 2024)
FINALLY MY BOY SAM IS GETTING THE RECOGNITION HE DESERVES
I'M SO EXCITED FOR THIS ONE
i really fucking hope Bucky doesn't die, not only because he's been my comfort character for 8 years, but because i also want him to be in
Thunderbolts (July 26, 2024)
okay okay so i skimmed the wiki page for 616 Thunderbolts and this is the group i wanna see:
Zemo and Bucky as reluctant and hateful co-leaders (or one or the other as the leader, but i def want both to be in it)
John Walker as U.S. Agent and Yelena Belova as the Black Widow
(these four alone are such a fun combination and i cannot express how much i want them to be a group)
Kate Bishop (and maybe even Clint Barton!) as Hawkeye
bonus ones that don't make sense but would be fun: Taskmaster and Ghost
also, i know Val was Madame Hydra, but considering how she went to both John and Yelena, what if she's putting together the Thunderbolts?
Fantastic Four (Nov 8, 2024)
IF JOHN KRASINSKI ISNT MR FANTASTIC I DONT WANT IT!!!!!!
if Krasinski is Mr. Fantastic can Emily Blunt be Sue Storm pls
oh i'll also take it if Joe Keery is Human Torch
if none of those people are in the cast then I Don't Want It
Avengers: Kang Dynasty (May 2, 2025)
holy fucking SHIT
Avengers: Secret Wars (Nov 7, 2025)
I really really fucking hope this isnt supposed to be a sequel to Kang Dynasty
but!
i am!
very!
fucking!
excited!
Other thoughts on other announcements/leaks
after seeing the full She-Hulk trailer, i can safely say i am now more excited for this one than i previously was (it was the one i was least excited for lmao)
when is the black panther trailer supposed to drop i thought it was gonna get released like an hour ago sobs
no?? no Shang-Chi or Moon Knight news?? none?? come on Marvel y'all know those are the best ones. you can admit it.
i'm so fucking excited for Marvel: Zombies too i know that show is gonna be ELITE
so Spider-Man: Freshman Year is just gonna be another Spider-Man show i guess?? got me thinking it would be canon to the MCU
and i guess X-Men 97 is just a continuation of the 90s animated show so i'll have to watch that. it looks goofy and fun though
the Multiverse Saga. what a fucking power play

EVERYTHING WE KNOW ABOUT THE MCU PHASE 5 (SDCC)
Soo theres a lot to discuss, lets get going shall we
Idk if the Guardians christmas special is still happening/is canon/is a part of phase 5, finishing phase 4 on black panther makes a lot of sense but at the same time, starting the next phase with a special doesn't
Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania
This movie will see the main group of heroes travel into the quantum realm and battle Kang
We dont know if Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen) and Jimmy Woo (Randall Park) are returning (please give us some news about ghost homegirl has been waiting for them to return from the quantum realm for 5 years)
Kang (Jonathan Majors) is set to appear and to have some very cold lines about fighting the avengers in other universes
"Have i killed you before?" that's an amazing line right there yup
Modok will appear, however his appearance will be more metallic rather than the human face he has in the comic probably to avoid an uncanny valley moment (*cough * strange's 3rd eye)
Cassie Lang (Cathryn Newton) will appear as stinger. Her relationship with Scott Lang (Paul Rudd) will be explored as they struggle to connect given that Scott didn't see her grow up. (Paul Rudd seems to have debunked the rumor that Scott will be rich and famous and that will make him loose touch with his daughter, however, the rumor that he published a book has been confirmed)
There are rumors that Scott will die in this movie (pls stop)
The director also teased some unexpected cameos, and said the movie will change the MCU as a whole
Secret Invasion
Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders) is confirmed to return (slay) as well as Rhodey (big slay)
QUAKE (CHLOE FRICKING BENNET) is rumored to return (chloe liked some twitter posts about her being in secret invasion and she is rumored to have signed a contract with marvel)
The series is rumored to be a political espionnage thriller with the same vibes as The Winter Soldier
We dont know how much of the Kree-Skrull war we will get to see as the series will likely be mostly set on earth
Guardians of The Galaxy Vol.3
This film is 'the end of the guardians era' for James Gunn, its likely the last Guardians movie HOWEVER that doesnt mean they will all die and cant appear in future projects
Drax (Dave Bautista) is rumored to die however (hot take: i don't really care about him and i never found him that funny)
The movie will have the High Evolutionary (Chukwudi Iwuji) as one of its villains, and we will probably see how he experimented on Rocket Racoon (Bradley Cooper)
Baby Rocket is also there!!!!!
Adam Warlock (Will Poulter) will return and is rumored to have Goldenish skin
No trailer yet because the VFX isnt finished (that feels like a jab at the cgi quality hate the mcu is getting)
Gamora (Zoe Saldana) is rumored to join the ravagers and be as angsty as ever with Star-Lord (Chris Pratt)
Echo
This will be the first MCU-street level series (if you dont count Hawkeye because meh). It will likely be a setup of the mcu street level world so that they dont have to explain it in the Daredevil Series, i just hope the pacing will be ok and not just 6 hours of exposition about this reality
Echo (Alaqua Cox) will obviously return, but so will Daredevil, in his black suit (!!). It is very likely that Kingpin (Vincent D'Onofrio) will also return, given that he was shot by echo in the Hawkeye finale.
Daredevil is rumored to be looking for an old ally, that is rumored to be my baby Jessica Jones (Krysten Ritter, marvel if you recast her i sWEAR-)
Loki season 2
Loki (Tom Hiddleston) and Sylvie (Sophia di Martino) will return and will be working at McDondald's (???) according to set photos (???)
Part of the show will be set in the seventies as a Bollywood poster featuring Kingo (Kumail Nanjiani) from that town is shown in set photos
Kang will probably appear given that he seems to have took over the TVA at the end of season 1
Mobius (Owen Wilson) will most likely be back
The Marvels
We will see light of my life Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani) again
Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) will most likely appear, following his appearance in secret invasion
Part of the movie is rumored to be a musical (why) as the characters end up in a planet where everyone sings. Carol (Brie Larson) is rumored to be married to this planets' leader (queen?) in a very killing eve-esque way
A scene is rumored to be a ship containing Humans, Skrulls and Flurkens (space cats!!!) being attacked (likely by Krees) and the cats gettinf people to safety
We will likely see the Kree empire again
Blade
Oooh another fun project i dont really know what to expect but it will likely be a street-level movie.
Mahershala Ali is rumored to play Blade (big yes), this is his second Marvel role after playing Cottonmouth in Netflix's Luke Cage
Anthony Starr (Homelander from the Boys) is rumored to star as Dracula
Dane Whittman (Kit Harrington) will likely star as the Black Knight after the Eternals post-credit scene featured him with the black sword adn Blade's voice
We might get a Werewolf by night (Gael Garcia Bernal) cameo (if the Halloween special is still a thing) or even a Moon Knight (Oscar Isaac) one (please marvel let me see my emotional support Dilf again)
Ironheart
Nothing much is known about the project, other than it will be centered around Riri Williams (Dominique Thorne), that will appear beforehand in Wakanda Forever
There is a rumor that Obadiah Stane's son will appear
The show might revolve around the stole stark tech mentioned in No Way Home
Agatha: Coven of Chaos
The series was renamed (previously titled house of Harkness), we will likely see other witches given the title
They might be teasing Wanda's return (please!!!!!!) as she is the only Chaos Magic wielder in the mcu
The curse Wanda (Elizabeth Olsen) put on Agatha (Kathryn Hanh) will most likely be broken after Wanda's DeAtH in MoM
Maybe we get some more information on Ralf Bohner (Evan Peters) or smt because his character in WandaVision was pointless
MePhIsTo.. no but maybe Chton??? since they changed the title to include the world Chaos
Daredevil: Born Again
The series will be 18 episodes long and most likely TV-MA (pls marvel)
Matt Murdock and Wilson Fisk will return, and so will Karen Page (Deborah Ann Woll) and Foggy Nelson (Elden Henson) most likely
The Punisher is set to return
If the Echo rumors about Jessica Jones are true, she might appear here too
If were lucky we get all of the defenders or even Claire (Rosario Dawson)
It is unclear wether this series will be the fourth season of the original, however it will probably be a soft reboot (the og series still happened so they dont have to explain character motivations and stuff but it wont be referenced
Captain America: New World Order
SAM WILSON (ANTHONY MACKIE) IS CAP, STEVE IS EITHER DECOMPOSING OR ON DEATHBED STOP SAYING HE WILL RETURN AS CAP IT FEELS RACIALLY MOTIVATED
oh and also no bucky (Sebastian Stan) will not be the next cap
he will be in this film tho, most likely and people are speculating wether he will die (i would die with him)
the title is the same as the first episode of The Falcon and the Winter Soldier
Isaiah Bradley (Carl Lumbly) and his nephew (Elijah Richardson) might return (pls), as well as John Walker (Wyatt Russell) and Zemo (Daniel Bruhl)
Idk why but i feel like this movie will setup the Thunderbolts, like maybe the government realize that a superhearo is more of a PR stunt that someone they cand send on possibly comprosmizing missions, which leads to the cration of this villain team
THUNDERBOLTS
Most likely we will get a tribute to William Hurt (Thaddeus Ross) given he passed away recently
Given that fact, Zemo will most likely be the leader of the team
This basically Marvel's suicide squad so i hope they manage to make the movie different enough
Valentina Allegra (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) will most likely be the one to put the team together and recruit agents.
Yelena (Florence Pugh), Bucky, Abomination (Tim Roth) and Ghost are all likely on the team
Especially ghost because i feel like they put her in Marvel Zombies out of nowhere to remind us of her existence since she wont have a major role in Quantumania
Some characters that are yet to be introduced will be in this movie

the story behind her
agent daisy louise johnson, formerly known as skye, is an inhuman, genius-level hacker and a shield operative. she was born to calvin Johnson and jiaying, but was taken away when her mother was seemingly killed by hydra. growing up an orphan, she adopted the name skye and worked for the rising tide, putting her on shield's radar. however, phil coulson recruited her into his team and appointed her as a consultant where she became a valued agent during the hunt for the clairvoyant. after the events of the hydra uprising, she joined the rest of her team in going off the grid. skye was devastated when she learned that grant ward was a hydra operative, and she joined the team in defeating the centipede project and john garrett.
when coulson became the director of shield, skye went with him to begin rebuilding the organization. working to stop hydra eventually led to skye being reunited with her father. she discovered her mother's lineage’s alien-based origin and was exposed to the terrigen mist, granting her vibration manipulation abilities. the activation of her abilities alerted the attention of other inhumans, and skye was taken to afterlife to help her better understand her powers. she was eventually reunited with her mother, and later played a large role in the conflict between the reunified shield and the inhumans.
assuming her birth name, daisy johnson became the first recruit and leader for the secret warriors. in that role, she began working with alphonso mackenzie to find new inhumans and led the team in their battle against hydra. during a mission, hive took control of daisy's mind and used her in his plan to conquer the world. for days, she acted as hive's right-hand woman, until the inhuman army they were building fell into a trap which resulted in lash releasing her from hive's control. the trauma of this combined with the heroic sacrifice of lincoln led to daisy leaving shield and becoming a vigilante known as quake.
during this time, she came across the mystical vigilante known as ghost rider, with whom she created an alliance to fight criminal organizations. the two later helped shield to find the darkhold before lucy bauer would use it. she rejoined shield after defeating eli morrow. continuing fighting the watchdogs led by anton ivanov, daisy discovered that her shield colleagues were kidnapped by holden radcliffe and aida, so she and jemma entered the framework in order to find them. they succeeded and they all returned to the real world - bar jeffrey mace, who had died during a mission within the framework - only to face the threat of the now living aida. daisy stopped aida from using her for her ultimate goal.
however, soon after their victory, the team was sent to the year 2091, when earth had been destroyed and the surviving humans were enslaved by the kree. daisy was quickly trapped by the ruler of the lighthouse, kasius, and was forced to participate in the sale of inhumans, because of the belief she was the one who had destroyed the planet. only when fitz arrived to the place she was freed, but with a device that inactivated her powers. as the team found a way back to the present, daisy refused to return due to her fear to cause the apocalypse, only to be forced to return by coulson. as the team was working to prevent the destruction of earth, daisy's inhuman control device was painfully removed by fitz. with coulson being missing after his capture by hale, daisy assumed the role of shield leader in order to rescue him. she saved earth after she killed glenn talbot and later followed mackenzie as shield's new director. afterwards she and the team dropped off coulson and may in tahiti so they could live what was left of coulson’s life. she then gathered a team and left for space in search of fitz's alternate self, following his death during the final battle against talbot.
skills and power
daisy is an extremely skilled computer hacker, with a wide range of contacts through the rising tide hacktivist group. on many missions, these skills were utilized for intelligence gathering and data interpretation. phil coulson put her in charge of the clairvoyant mission because she "sees things in unique ways" and was a master at pattern recognition and analysis; in other words, she picks up on patterns that others do not notice.
she was taught to fight by grant ward, and later by melinda may. daisy was able to have a prolonged battle with agent 33, a person who gave may a good fight. after further training, she displayed her impressive skills in conjunction with her marksmanship and tactical training, enabling her to take down several hydra operatives with only a pistol and her combat training on two separate occasions. her fighting style is comprised of kickboxing, brazilian jiu-jitsu, boxing, krav maga, and Jujutsu. during the opening of the war against the inhumans, daisy was able to effortlessly defeat a skilled shield agent and hold her own against melinda may for some time. later, during the climax, she was able to defeat two out of five alisha whitley duplicates before being defeated by her superior numbers. a year following, daisy was stated, following bobbi morse's resignation, that she was the only agent beside may, capable of taking out a room of hydra agents, solo. she was able to briefly hold her own against a kree reaper, and with the aid of her power, was able to defeat him. as a testament to her skills, she was able to have a prolonged battle with hive, who had the abilities of grant ward, a man who had rivaled both melinda may and bobbi morse in combat, combining her skills in martial artist and vibrational powers in close combat. she has even been able to outskill the kree warrior sinara, and even held her own against three chronicom hunters despite being high on puffies. Under optimal conditions, she defeated several armed chronicom hunters at once with ease.
her hesitation toward using firearms subsided following her training with melinda may, as demonstrated by her using the taser projectile launcher against carl creel and later as she used a sniper rifle against donnie gill. daisy displayed her impressive skills in conjunction with her close-range combat and tactical training, enabling her to take down several hydra operatives with only a pistol.
daisy is highly trained in espionage and deception. during her early years as an agent, she was able to convince ward that she did not know that he was a hydra infiltrator, deceiving long enough to report him to the authorities, and she later managed trick ward to reveal all he knew about her father, before shield transferred him into christian ward's custody. even before her training, she was able to infiltrate a party hosted by ian quinn using her allegiance with the rising tide. years of mission with shield only made her a more talented spy, to the point that she was able to pose as a cia agent to daniel sousa, another trained and seasoned shield agent.
she learned to assess threats as she entered a location, scanning for exits and the type of weaponry the guards carry, even attempting to assess the personalities and skills of the people in her environment. grant ward commented on her ability that Johnson gained when he brought her to the ponce de león theater, and general hale praised her ability to make difficult choices, and declared her to be powerful, intelligent, and calculating; in her opinion she was the optimal candidate for project destroyer of worlds. phil coulson even chose daisy as his successor to lead the team, although she eventually stepped down and chose alphonso mackenzie to lead shield instead.
she also has pickpocketing skills, managing to steal michael peterson's driving license in los angeles, and a set of keys from an italian train conductor without being noticed.
all existing matter and energy within the known universe vibrate at a specific resonant frequency on the quantum level. forced into a state of terrigenesis via her exposure to the diviner's extraterrestrial contents, daisy acquired the ability to sense the various frequency vibrations in her environment and manipulate them. her powers are connected to her heart rate, and as a negative result she can lose control of her powers whenever her heartbeat increases during stressful situations. her body is able to withstand enhancing and releasing intense vibrational waves, however attempting to forcefully internalize or hold back her powers will put an excessive strain on her body and may lead to internal injuries like ruptured veins, hairline bone fractures, or other severe consequences, which requires her to use casts created by jemma simmons. when focused, her abilities' extend to the point that she can create both force barriers and powerful concussive waves of sheer force. after learning about her powers from jiaying, daisy achieved greater control over her powers and no longer loses control of them. she first used them to cause a controlled avalanche, and again to make several glasses of water ring, but ultimately ended up shattering them. during the opening of the war against the inhumans, she made an attacking agent's gun vibrate apart and defeated may with a concussive blast. since sound is the vibration of air molecules, daisy is acute to sounds that other people can not hear; when the monolith was opened, she heard sounds that coulson and bobbi did not. soon after, she generated an earthquake via concussive blasts to heavily damage the playground. she also restricted fitz's breathing. when the playground was invaded by the life-model decoys, she could sense that jemma was not a decoy by sending vibrations through her body, which allowed daisy to feel simmons' bones. her powers can also be used sub-consciously as seen when the remorath were transporting her to taryan, she managed to break the device subduing her whilst her physical body was rendered unconscious. johnson was able use her powers to cause opponents' weapons to vibrate apart, as she did with two d’rillians.
concussive blast: perhaps her favorite technique, daisy is able to generate and focus powerful concussive waves of vibrating air in the form of directed concussive blasts at her enemies. the effects of her blasts can vary from being weak enough to only knock opponents into walls and shatter windows, to strong enough to break a kree reaper's arm, crush gideon malick's skull, heavily damage an lmd of may, explode a vrellnexian, destroy massive areas of concrete roads, send cars flying, knock back a grenade fired from a grenade launcher, destroy a portion of a hospital floor, push a quinjet into the sea, and heavily damage the playground by directing them into the ground, which caused the ground to shake. she also uses her blasts in battle to block blows from opponents such as hive. during her time as a vigilante, she also learned to use her concussive blasts to propel herself in the air and cushion her falls, such as when she did to evade shield and also catch a sniper when he failed to assassinate jeffrey mace. she was also able to concentrate her concussive waves. in her hands before releasing them in a massive shock wave, destroying coulson's lmd and mackenzie's lmd in the process. she is also able to use her shockwaves to apply enough pressure on viscous matter such as gravitonium, that it would compress to a degree that would otherwise be unachievable. she could also use her powers to resuscitate lincoln campbell by sending weak concussive pulses to his heart. daisy was also shown to be able to create cushioning platforms of concussive force, such as when she stopped price's fall. she is also able to release concussive shockwaves through her punches.
wave absorption: daisy is also capable of absorbing vibrations, as seen in an episode when she absorbs an earthquake, and when used in conjunction with her gauntlets, she is able to absorb a larger quantity of vibrations, but can only hold them so so long and must release them or she risks causing irreparable damage to herself.
disintegration: she can cause molecules to vibrate violently enough that the bonds between them are destroyed, causing whatever she is using her powers on to disintegrate into the atmosphere, such as when she disintegrated an entire army of shrike in a matter of seconds.
force-field generation: she is able to shape vibrating air into physical fields, as demonstrated when she blocked a gunshot from a shield agent, and later several energy blasts from kora during the team's final mission together.
levitation: she is capable of manipulating vibrations under herself to propel and levitate herself, as shown when she escaped from the police after witnessing ghost rider kill four men.

My top 8 movies of 2023
Hey folks! Its that time again! 2023... the year that I finally went back to the cinema again after having been away from it since 2020.* It was also the first time that I got sick after having been healthy and sickness free for four years (thanks to good hand hygiene and social distancing). It was only a matter of time I suppose. But now you dont have to wait to the end of 2024 for my list of movies I saw in 2023 thats ranked according to my own personal taste and bias! Why 8? Because Im not a professional filmcritic who has time to see most of the movies that came out this year and sometimes other duties got in the way. So I only had time to see 8 movies in the cinema**.
(*Unless you count that time I saw No time to die, which was in 2021.) **Actually, I only had time to see 7. One of these films was on Netflix. I was gonna make it a top 7 list but I decided to put it on my list since: A: the film came out 2023. and B: I technically saw it in its intended format since it never had a theatrical release. So its not like I missed an opportunity to see it in theaters.
But anyway, with all the technicalities of the way, here are the movies…
8: Antman and the wasp: Quantumania Scott Lang, his daughter Cassie, Hope Van Dyne, Dr. Hank Pym and Janet Van Dyne are all sucked into the Quantum realm. When trying to get back to their own world they run into an evil man named Kang, hijinx ensue. It did not exceed my expectations but it didn`t go below them either. I expected the usual MCU quality from this and was not dissapointed. Safe and familiar. Not great, not bad, just OK.
7: The Marvels Carol Danvers teams up with her old friends daughter Monica and Kamala Khan, a big admirer of her, thanks to the power of an ancient, alien bling to fight an angry Kree woman who wants to fix her home planet at the cost of other planets, Hijinx ensue. Like Quantumania I didnt expect this to be better than the average MCU movie and was not disappointed. Its higher on the list than Quantumania because Iman Vellani is fun and I like the musical scene. Its OK.
6: Wish Reminds me of Bryan Singers Superman Returns, in that it is a love letter and homage to something that came before it, but other than that it is not much else. I wanted this movie to do better at the box office, but I also wanted it to be better. People are disappointed in this because this was supposed to be a milestone, the movie made to celebrate that the Disney animation studio has been around for 100 years! It just couldnt live up to the hype. But if you take all the hype out of the equation and just view as its own thing its… OK. I liked it more than Pocahontas. The script could have been polished a little and the songs could have been better (especially "This is the thanks I get"). Like I said, it`s OK. Worth a watch.
5: The Super Mario Bros. Movie At first I had some reservations about Chris Pratts voice coming out of Marios mouth, but it quickly grew on me. Wasnt too crazy about Fred Armisens as Cranky Kong though, but he didnt have much screentime. It may be a movie about Super Mario, but it is also made by Illumination, and there were times where I could feel their fingerprints on the movie. Of course, Why shouldnt there be? They made it after all. Yes, but remember, Illumination made Minions, the cinematical equivalent of entertaining a one year old by dangling your car keys in front of them. There was one scene where they used used Ahas "Take on me" that had me scratching my head and wonder if that really was the best song for that scene. Good despite being an Illumination movie. Id tell you to go see it, but judging from its box office theres probably a chance that you already have.
4: M3gan After her parents die in a car accident, eight year old Cady is sent to live with her aunt Gemma who works as a roboticist at a high-tech toy company. Gemma has built a humanoid child-sized doll powered by artificial intelligence called M3gan. M3gan becomes Cadys companion, babysitter and does things that Gemma doesnt have time to do, like play with her and reminding her to flush the toilet. Then after a while, things go sideways and M3gan starts to become overprotective of Cady. This movie reminds a little about the Nighmare on Elmstreet sequels in that it isnt afraid to be silly. Right from the start it tells us with a commercial for a silly toy that it is a comedy and a satire. In that way its similar to Paul Verhoeven`s Robocop. It has comments about parenting, the use of A.I. in todays society and it makes you ask questions, like: Would M3gan have stayed good if Cady had remembered to flush that damn toilet?
3: The boy and the heron Mahito, a young boy who lost his mother in a hospital fire during World War 2 moves into a new home in a rural area to live with his father and his new wife, Natsuko. One day Natsuko disappears and when Mahito looks for her he meets a peculiar grey heron who at first tries to mislead him but then helps him in his search for Natsuko. It takes a while for the plot to get moving and some of the characters feel a little underwritten. That little criticism aside, its an interesting, visually beautiful and very surreal movie. A welcome alternation from the other animated big studio movies that Ive seen so much of lately. The kind that is aimed at such a broad, general audience that you can really feel how focused grouped it was. It is very unapologetically a Miyazaki movie.
2: Nimona In a futuristic medieval kingdom surrounded by a great wall, Ballister Boldheart, the first commoner to become a knight, is framed for the murder of the Queen. When trying to clear his name and prove his innocence he runs into Nimona, a chaotic shapeshifter who helps him in his endeavour. Ballister learns a few things about his sidekick but also about the kingdom he had sworn to protect. It gets a better spot than The boy and the heron because it feels more accessible, like it wanted to reach a wide audience but at the same time still keep some artistic integrity. If I have any criticism its aimed at the character Todd. He feels like a character from an Illumination movie that accidentally wandered on to the set and no one had the heart to tell him that he was in the wrong place, so they just let him be in the movie. It does the "3D that looks 2D" a little better than Wish, is fun and has some sincere, heartfelt moments. Its message is important, not just in this time but had it come out earlier it would still have been just as important. It dares to do a little more than most animated movies that has come out lately and the fact that it was made and released at all with it`s troubled production history is itself pretty damn impressive.
And now… My number one pick…. will be revealed after an honorable mention!
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem Its the story that you have heard before: Four turtles and a rat get mutated to a more humanoid shape and size thanks to some goo, they live in the sewers and fight bad guys using ninjitsu. But here is a little new take on that old story: This time the four turtles are curious about and want to be part of the surface world but their mentor and father figure forbids them because he is prejudiced against humans. So its basically "TMNT meets The little mermaid". The Turtles feel more like teenagers in this one than they have in any of the previous movies. It has an anarchic, juvenile charm, deliberately misshapen design on some characters and beneath the immature humor there is also alot of sincerity. Its familiar, different, its funny. Give it a watch.
Why is this an Honorable Mention? Because like Nimona I didnt see it in the cinema but unlike Nimona it did have a theatrical release and in these lists I make Im very much about the movies Ive seen in the cinema, which is the best place to see a movie. Because of that I was hesitant to put it on this list but decided to include it since it came out 2023. Also, I didnt know where to put it on my list. I think I`d place it higher than Wish.
And now… Drumroll please. My number one pick for 2023 iiis…
1: Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 If I had a nickel for everytime a movie made in 2023 that had Chris Pratt in the lead role had “No sleep 'til Brooklyn” in its soundtrack Id have two nickels. Which isnt much, but its weird that it happened twice. It has jokes and funny moments but they dont cut off the moments that are sincere and heartfelt, it gives them room to breathe, (take notes Marvel). It feels like the end, not of a book, but of a chapter (because, lets be real, this is Marvel). A chapter has ended and James Gunn made sure to put a lot of work and love into telling a story that would feel right for the characters and their journey. In this day and age where many movies, atleast the Disney ones, have to have badguys with sympathetic backstories, or last minute redemptions, Chukwudi Iwujis High Evolutionary is a welcome change of pace. A modern day Dr Mengele so obsessed with creating a perfect society with the perfect race that he doesnt care who or how many dies in the process. In the end you are really rooting for this guy to get his ass handed to him. Even if it`s made clear in the post credit scenes that this is not the end and that we will see more of the Guardians, this movie gives a feeling of conclusion. You did good, Gunn. You did good. Also, congrats on having the first F-bomb in the MCU!
And those are the movies I saw in 2023.
Movies I wanted to see in 2023 but didnt get the chance to because of time or other duties: Oppenheimer, Barbie, Indiana Jones and the dial of destiny, Elemental and Cocaine bear.
Movies Im looking forward to in 2024 are: Dune 2, Deadpool 3, Inside out 2 and Furiosa: A Mad Max saga.
I hope that 2024 is, if not a good year for movies, then atleast not a bad one.
Written stuff: 53
Started writing this: 2023-12-24
I`m a little late with this one, but better late than never as they say.
Atleast I got it out before february, I consider that a win.
And as usual: English is not my first language, so if my writing doesn`t seem to flow naturally, you know why.

Into the Anthill pt 37 - Avengers Disassembled
He’s had some bad days before, but even for Hank this is probably the worst he’s ever had (and he’s died at least 3 times already). As the one Avenger with worse mental breakdowns than Hank, Wanda finally loses control and tries to destroy the team. Her magic leads to the deaths of Ant-Man, Vision, Hawkeye, and Jack of Hearts (who was already dead but she brought him back just to blow him up), as well as the destruction of Avengers Mansion.
But hey, they made it 41 years. Not sure what that equals in their sliding timescale but it’s an impressive run.
🐜🐜🐜
Avengers vol 3 #500-501
Ant-Man was killed when Jack of Hearts rose from the dead and detonated, destroying much of Avengers Mansion and injuring everyone inside as well. Iron Man, who had been addressing the U.N., suddenly found himself too drunk to continue and was ushered out. Vision, no longer in control of his body, flew a Quinjet into the wrecked mansion and spat out Ultron drones to attack the Avengers. She-Hulk, suddenly in an uncontrollable rage, tore Vision in half and killed him. Hank arrived too late to help so he carried survivors to the hospital at giant size. Back at the mansion every living Avenger responded to the emergency signal and found themselves attacked by the kree. In the heat of the battle Hawkeye was killed. As quickly as they appeared, the kree vanished and Dr. Strange arrived. He revealed that this was the work of Wanda Maximoff suffering another nervous breakdown. Once again able to remember the loss of her children she killed Agatha Harkness and subconsciously set in motion the chain of events that led to the Avengers’ darkest day.
Avengers Finale vol 1 #1
A ceremony was held in memorial to the lost Avengers 3 months later. Tony could no longer afford to finance them, but he was able to convince New York to leave the ruins of Avengers Mansion as a landmark. Jen quit due to the guilt of what she was made to do. Hank accepted a fellowship at Oxford and would be moving overseas with Janet, who wanted to have another fresh start with him. Falcon followed suit, considering quitting superheroics entirely. At that, Carol noted that this really was the end of the Avengers. Each member in attendance shared stories of their proudest moments with the team and offered a toast to every teammate they’d lost.
Avengers: Earth’s Mightiest Heroes vol 1 #1-5, 7-8
This series goes over the early days of the Avengers in more detail, including but not limited to: the day they signed the Avengers Charter, Captain America’s first days out of the ice, their first confrontations with the Masters of Evil and Kang, and the recruitment of Hawkeye, Quicksilver, and Scarlet Witch.
Marvel Knights: Spider-Man vol 1 #15
After his wallet was stolen, Spider-Man brought one of his old Spider Tracers to Hank at his reserve lab in Cresskill to see if he could help find it. After having a brief laugh about it, Hank agreed to have ants search the city for it and report back to him when they found something.
Minor/Cameo appearances from this period:
She-Hulk vol 1 #12
Captain America and the Falcon vol 1 #12
Marvel Holiday Special 2004 vol 1 #1
Wolverine vol 2 #22
