Commission I just finished last night of @missmayhemvr's DnD character inspired by traditional Oromo African designs, this was a fun and interesting piece for me as it's only the second time I've drawn a short stack character and I got to experiment with a fashion style I'm not really familiar with.

Tiny Navajo Reads: The Lies of the Ajungo
#bookreview of The Lies of the Ajungo by @MosesUtomi - a #novella about a coming of age story and what someone would do to save their mother and their city. #ebook #review #fantasy #shortstory #librarybook
This was a super quick read. The cover is what drew me in when I saw it. And it’s a fantasy story set in an African styled world. I don’t always get to read stories set in African settings, but those that I have been able to find and read, I have enjoyed them. This one, again, was found on Tumblr. You’re probably going to hear me say this a lot whenever I introduce the book I’m reviewing for the…

The Rice house, 1919. Photo taken March 2022.
"Ethel Rice moved to Christiansburg after living in Rhodesia for many years with her late husband, William, a tobacco executive. Working with the town's builders to combine locally available architectural elements with African-inspired forms, she created the brick building known as The Huts. At the core of her unique residence is a conically roofed circular brick section of approximately twenty feet in diameter. Clustered around it are three smaller circular units positioned in the north, east, and south quadrants. Local features are the one-over-one windows and metal roof. From this fusion of Christiansburg and Rhodesian building practices emerged a remarkable work."

Commission DnD, What I am
Second Commission by returner Commissioner Juzzy, featuring their DnD Warforge, Kiln as they for the first time gazes upon their own reflection, seeing what they truly are as their Goblin friend Zuri does their best to console them.
---
This was an interesting commission, first time using a custom 3D model to aide in rendering the scene out and I feel like because of it the image is much stronger, will definitely be looking into try to replicate this in the future, if only I can find the time to work on 3D, maybe I can start to make some more interesting backdrops?
