ʟᴏʀᴇ: my memories about my life before carlisle turn me into a vampire literally do not exist lmao, all i know is what i need to know - when the cullens were living in calgary, alberta, they were on vacation during winters break. during their hunting, alice found me in woods. she saw in her vision that i am one of the cullens in the future, but she didn’t turn me into one. she saw in her vision that carlisle did that. she took me back to their home, and there, carlisle decided turn me into a vampire. i was lucky. but didn't remember what happened (also basically it’s the fact that i just went missing and alice found me in those woods out of nowhere weeks later, in pretty bad condition, and rn when i shifted, i found myself in the moment that i wake up AFTER being turn into vampire so yup)

⍣ ೋ back in calgary, carlisle took days off, and stayed with me at their house. i was still confused, so he explained to me how my mind will work from then. alice took responsibility for me. to teach me hunting. i was a newborn then, more strong, with bloodlust. alice went hunting with me, spent time with me and helped me a lot.

⍣ ೋ after some years in culgary, we needed to move. i was still a newborn, but i choose to stay with cullen family and become one of 'vegetarians' as they called themselfs. for a few years, until 2003 we lived in mountains. also because of me. carlisle didn't want to drag me into 'normal' life, 'till i will fully become aware of my new body.

⍣ ೋ in 2003 me and the cullens moved to forks. we went to school there, everything was okay. i got along with the cullens, but at the same time i could feel something changing in my mind?? alice saw me getting powers, just like edward, her and jasper have. but she can't see what will i do. in 2004, i am almost 20 year old vampire, and my power finally shows up.

my power: possession. (i can take control of the bodies and minds of others, or i can look through somebody's eyes and mind without them knowing.)

⍣ ೋ in the high school that me and culllens are going to, i meet raphael, which will later on be my s/o (but i don’t wanna spoil it for y’all as i just shifted there and i have fullllll stories about him 🤭). we meet before bella moved to forks, and her and edward got together.

Alukinesis: Ruby pode criar alucinações à um indivíduo ou a um grupo de pessoas, é extremamente eficaz, distorcendo a realidade pode trazer a cada um uma realidade diferente acompanhada na maioria das vezes dos sintomas de tontura e confusão. Tendo uma grande associação com a escuridão e os medos de cada um faz com que Ruby tenha a fórmula perfeita para atormentar seus inimigos e os deixando prontos para o abate.

A Alukinesis não pode ferir um indivíduo fisicamente, embora ele tenha a impressão de estar sofrendo é apenas psicológico. Ruby possui em especial olhos completamente brancos sem nenhuma íris, Quando a habilidade é ativada mãos negras saem de dentro dos olhos, a pele também pode tornar uma tonalidade cinza quando a Alukinesis for utilizada. Se usada com muita intensidade ou por muito tempo podem ocorrer sangramentos no nariz e boca de Ruby.

Cria pequenas criaturas, sombras ou sons apenas para atormentar sua vítima, tem como único propósito o medo. Pode criar criaturas maiorias e varias aparições desta vez os sons já são muito próximos e a vista do indivíduo já ficará turva, a área de visão se limita muito o deixando com a impressão de estar preso em uma "bolha de escuridão". A vítima pode começar a delirar e suas alucinações não se limitam mais ao medo, o podendo deixar em estado de euforia ou ter o mesmo efeito de drogas como LSD. Adentra no mais profundo de sua mente e trás a tona os maiores temores de alguém, chance de ter forte enxaqueca alguns dias após.

A forma final da Alukinesis, pode afetar ate mesmo Ruby, semelhante ao 81% porem muito mais intenso, pode enlouquecer a vítima e ela ou causar algum dano cerebral caso usado por muito tempo, do contrato nenhum deles terá sequelas.

Alukinesis: Ruby can create hallucinations to an individual or a group of people, it is extremely effective, distorting reality can bring each one a different reality, most often accompanied by symptoms of dizziness and confusion. Having a strong association with darkness and one's fears makes Ruby the perfect formula for tormenting her enemies and leaving them ready for the slaughter.

Alukinesis cannot physically injure an individual, although he has the impression that he is suffering is only psychological. Ruby especially has completely white eyes without any irises. When the ability is activated black hands come out from inside the eyes, the skin can also turn a gray hue when Alukinesis is used. If used too intensively or too long, Ruby's nose and mouth may bleed.

It creates small creatures, shadows or sounds just to torment its victim, its sole purpose is fear. She can create most creatures and several apparitions this time the sounds are already very close and the individual's sight will already be blurred, the vision area is very limited leaving him with the impression of being trapped in a "bubble of darkness". The victim may start to delirium and his hallucinations are no longer limited to fear, they can leave him in a state of euphoria or have the same effect as drugs such as LSD. After Twilight in the UK I would like to suggest: Twilight in the Netherlands

They ride bikes everywhere so the cullens have these new super fancy bikes that go really fast so they can still be ~speed demons~ or whatever

Bella’s bike is one of those that you need to duct tape back together after using it

Instead of surfing at the beach the kids go fierljeppen (jumping over ditches w water in them using long sticks)

For reference the world championships look like this

Eddie cant come cause the farmers that have lived on the land for generations know about the cullens

Instead of wolves, the farmers can turn into godwits (national bird of the Netherlands and a lot less suspicious than the national animal, a fucking lion)

Alice would go HARD on Kingsday, whole house is decorated with orange flags and stuff

I’m imagining this takes place in like the west of the country cause the cullens obviously live in one of the canal houses in Amsterdam and let me tell you Jasper would be teased MERCILESSLY for his ~southern drawl~

Carlisle would be an Amsterdam native with a thicc accent who uses tons of slang

There’s no mountains for Emmett to be from (there are some particularly steep bridges but that’s about it) BUT I think he should be from the north

Rosalie is from one of the suburbs of Amsterdam, Edward’s from Rotterdam, that’s like 99% of the reason she hates him (Carlisle suggests they date and Rosalie is just like “you’re from here too how dare you betray me like that” and slaps him)

Endless complaining about having to go all the way to Germany to hunt because the Netherlands has like no wildlife whatsoever

Summary: you along with Emily were like the mothers of the crazy pack, especially towards a certain Clearwater.

Pairing: fluffy seth x mother!reader moments

Genre: floofy fluff

A/N: I don’t know how I feel about this one tbh, make sure to send requests :)) I’m also considering posting one-shots for Harry Potter.

Seth Clearwater was like your son. Sue loved that she could count on you to watch over him and Leah when she couldn’t. You were close with Leah but you had a stronger bond with the small Clearwater.

You weren’t a shape-shifter, just a family friend who stayed at Emily’s house. The pack loved you, where Emily provided food and clothes you provided your time and advice. You were easy to talk to and you didn’t judge the boys about their problems and thoughts.

They would often find themselves with their head in your lap, letting themselves rant while you calmly listened and ran your hands through their hair soothingly. You were always good to them, and they were forever grateful for you. Even after everything you never left , believing the pack to be your family. They had expected you to run for the hills when you tried to diffuse an argument between Paul and Embry but their sudden transformation landed you in the hospital with a concussion and giant claw scars running down your entire left arm to both of your palms.

But you forgave them, not minding how they had disfigured your entire arm. It didn’t seem to bother you, in fact they often caught you running your fingers along the scars smiling gently. When they asked why you just simply said, “I’ll never be a shape-shifter like you guys but this mark reminds me I’m still apart of your pack in a strange way.”

You were gentle and pure, and they loved you so much for that. You were one of the only people who get Paul to calm down.

‘Paul. Hey, look at me’ stood in front of him, hands on his shoulders, ‘it’s okay. You’re okay.’ Your voice was soothing and smooth like honey, his shoulders became less tense and he looked down in shame.

‘Come on, Emily made some food. We can talk about this later.’ You gently tug at his wrist, leading him home.

You were the only one who had enough patience for Embry and Jared’s persistence and jokes.

You were the only person Quil felt that didn’t judge him for imprinting on a four year old.

You were the only person willing to have a serious conversation with Jacob about his concerns for Bella.

You were the only person who could make Leah feel like she was having fun without feeling like it was out of pity.

You were the only one who didn’t tease Emily and Sam for their puppy love for one another.

You were the only one who openly expressed full confidence and faith in Seth’s abilities as a wolf at any chance you could get.

‘Seth hon. I know you want to fight with them, and I know you can take care of yourself but you’re still young. That doesn’t mean you’re any less capable at fighting than the rest of the pack. They’re just worried that they’re not capable of aiding you if you ever did need help. Now come back in, I’ll make you a sandwich and we can watch some Marvel.’

Today was like any other day for you, you hummed quietly helping Emily prepare lunch for the boys who were out and about in the woods.

Emily looked at you in admiration, you were a few years older than her yet you carried yourself which such grace and happiness, you didn’t look a day over 19. You had come a long way with the pack and never once lost faith in them.

Moments later the pack came rushing inside, practically running towards the dining table.

You glided out of the kitchen with a jug of lemonade, smiling brightly at energetic boys.

“Hey boys, how was your day?” You asked, filling up their cups. You strike up a conversation with all of them, standing behind Seth, hand on his shoulder.

“How about you Seth?”

“Seth is getting a lot faster, he’s almost as fast as me.” Embry teased

I laugh, ruffling the boy’s hair, humming. “Seth’s abilities are strengthening with every passing day, soon he’s going to be able to knock you all on your asses.” Seth smiles at you in appreciation.

“Thanks ma.” You freeze, he had never directly addressed you as his motherly figure before. Laughing, you hug him from behind, tears almost welling up in your eyes.

“Awh Y/N don’t cry, you big softy.” Paul teased earnestly

Yes, you were a huge softy.

You let go and make your way to the couch, deciding to catch up on reading while the pack ate. A chapter later the pack was bouncing towards the living room area. Seth laid himself across the couch you were sitting on, putting his head in your lap. You absentmindedly run your hand through his hair, finishing up your page, marking it.

You put the book to the side, your fingers combing gently across the young boy’s scalp with both of your hands now. As he grumbled sleepily, you smile looking up at your pack as they were going crazy and laughing at each other.

This was home, and no one could take that away.

Thoughts

There were many things about Bella that Rosalie resented: she was human with her whole life ahead of her, she had a father who loved her as a person rather than as a social tool (and presumably a mother who felt the same way), she owned a 1957 Chevy in excellent working condition... But what really made Rosalie resent the girl was how she could keep Edward out of her head.

Idiot that he was, Edward couldn't figure out why Bella would be the exception to his gift. Rosalie knew: it was because blocking him out was Bella's gift. It was an incredibly powerful gift-- probably as powerful as Alice's had been when she was human-- and Rosalie resented that Bella would have it instead of her.

With Emmett, it didn't matter if Edward heard what he thought since Emmett tended to blurt out whatever he was thinking most of the time anyway. Carlisle and Esme had grown too used to it; Alice liked having a fellow “freak”; Jasper could always turn Edward's attention away with his gift.

Which left Rosalie. She hated having Edward listening to her thoughts all the time. Part of the reason she and Emmett lived apart from the rest of the Culllens sometimes was just so she could have a few years of not dealing with Edward.

Bella... She had no idea how lucky she was. Though she showed no appreciation for her humanity, she at least redeemed herself by loving every other part of her life. Including the fact that Edward couldn't hear her thoughts.

So she wasn't a complete fool, at least.

Psycho Analysis: The Volturi

(WARNING! This analysis contains SPOILERS!)

The Twilight Saga is one of the most intriguing works of literature of the 21st century, particularly how it has a rich, expansive cast of characters with interesting backstories and motives that get sidelined for the story of the two most generic characters in the entire tale. This is apparent mainly in the Cullens – Carlisle, Jasper, and Alice especially – but it also does hit the villains particularly hard as well.

The Volturi are the most powerful coven in the world of Twilight, essentially the lawmakers and royals who govern all other vampires. For 3000 years, they’ve governed over the vampire rule with iron fists, stamping out anything that might expose the existence of vampires to humans. Their word is unquestioned by the vampires of Earth, their justice is swift to those who break their laws, and their three leaders – Aro, Caius, and Marcus – are forces to be reckoned with.

Naturally, they never receive any sort of comeuppance and are relegated to minor, supporting roles in the story. But what a role they have, and how oh so very interesting they end up being even with their limited interactions with the central cast.

Actor: Aro, the conniving leader, is portrayed by Michael Sheen in the films; naturally, he is the best character of the lot, because Michael Sheen is just a treasure and much of what he touches turns to gold. He really puts forth that charming, affable front Aro needs while giving that beautiful undercurrent of manipulative sleaziness that makes Aro a fan-favorite villain. As Todd in the Shadows said on Twitter, “The first TWILIGHT gives Michael Sheen the least to do (he's only given a meager zero seconds of screen time, what a waste). Jamie Campbell Bower, best known for playing the twink from Sweeney Todd, is Caius, and while this might seem rather silly, the juxtaposition of how absolutely gorgeous Caius is and how absolutely, horrifyingly evil he is just really makes him a more enjoyable villain. Sadly he does not quite steal the show to the extent that Aro does, but expecting other actors to be Michael Sheen is not a good thing to do in the first place.

Christopher Heyerdahl rounds out the trio as Marcus, and while he has the absolute least to do as Marcus is such a depressed slug he does nothing of note in the books or movies, he does at least accurately portray the uncomfortable melancholy and abject boredom Marcus feels in a way that I feel is rather overlooked. As little as he contributes on a surface level, I do feel that the Volturi would be missing something with Marcus and his glum demeanor hanging around, so props to Heyerdahl to adding that extra little spice to the trio, even if it is ultimately easy to miss.

Motivation/Goals: Their goal is simple: to rule over vampires and ensure the species is not wiped out by ensuring they stay in the shadows and don’t overfeed as well as ensuring to keep the numbers in check and recruiting powerful allies to their cause. Their rule is such that even the mere mention of their name can strike fear into the hearts of vampires, and their law is so ingrained in vampire culture that the rules are passed down from vampire to vampire with ease. And yes, if all this sounds totally reasonable, I do agree in principle; the problem is, at least in Aro and Caius’ cases, they are power-hungry psychopaths who seem to be going a bit mad from ruling for about three thousand years.

Aro in particular has gone way beyond the pale in his desire to rule, down to murdering his own sister so that he can manipulate Marcus into ruling with him, while Caius is just an out-and-out psychopath who enjoys violence and torture. Marcus is really the only one who gets away relatively clean, as he is just too depressed and bored to do much of anything, but it’s not like he really argues against what his co-rulers do.

Personality: Aro stands out the most, thanks to be cheery, outgoing, and friendly in his dealings with Bella and the Cullens, but of course this is all but a front; he is a tyrannical vampire dictator after all. He’s also a little bit loopy after thousands of years of exerting his rule, which certainly is evident in how Michael Sheen portrays him. I think what really seals the deal on his true nature is the fact he murdered his own sister, who his friend Marcus loved, just to keep him in the Volturi, and to this day Marcus has never discovered his lover’s killer, never known that he is always right nearby posing as his friend. With actions like that, Aro certainly seals himself in as the most wicked of the Volturi, a tall feat considering Caius.

Caius is absolutely cruel and merciless. He always advocates for the cruelest methods in any given situation, he never wants to take the peaceful route, and if the opportunity arises in which he can end something in violence, he will take it; look how he resolved things in Breaking Dawn where, unsatisfied with a peaceful resolution, he gained a compromise by slaughtering the vampire Irina. He is certainly the most outwardly evil of the three.

Marcus is the least developed, but there’s actually a good story reason for this: he’s bored and depressed due to the death of his beloved, and really feels like he only goes along with Aro because he is his brother-in-law.

Final Fate: Shockingly, the Volturi not only don’t really suffer any sort of setback in Breaking Dawn, they leave peacefully; Aro does witness all of them dying in the most epically gruesome ways possible in a vision, but that doesn’t exactly count, so despite all they do they receive absolutely no comeuppance for their centuries of cruel actions. Aro and Caius really have it coming, to be honest, so it’s a shame that the vision was, well, a vision.

And though they do end up leaving peacefully, there is a catch; they are not exactly pleased with the Cullens for their actions. Kind of makes you wonder if the idyllic little happy ending of Edward and Bella’s will one day be rudely interrupted by the armies of the Volturi holding them down and forcing them to submit or die. We can only dream…

Best Scene: The trouble with the Volturi is that they are almost always all together, but by god, does their death scenes in the vision from Breaking Dawn: Part 2 really take the cake. Bella and Edward tag team Aro and end up decapitating him and then immolating his head, poor Marcus just accepts his fate and commits suicide by allowing himself to be torn apart, and Caius gets the single most brutal death in the franchise where they tear the entire top half of his head off. And it is just as brutal and horrifying as it sounds. Considering how they get away scot free with all of their heinous actions, this is pure and utter catharsis, though let’s be real, poor Marcus did not deserve that. Shame it was all just a vision.

Best Quote: Aro has easily one of the best quotes in the whole series, and it’s really not a quote: it is the utterly hilarious laugh he gives in the second Breaking Dawn film. Witness it for yourself and you will understand. I for one can’t even comprehend how a human being could possibly make a sound like that with their mouth, but by God did Michael Sheen find a way to do it. Frankly, it makes up for the fact the other two really have nothing particularly noteworthy to say.

Final Thoughts & Score: I think the Volturi are some of the best characters Stephanie Meyers created, and I find it a shame that she never really does anything with them other than have them steal every scene they’re in. It’s so weird, because we are so obviously supposed to be rooting against them due to them constantly getting in the way of the Culllens, but as evil and manipulative as they are… it’s hard to argue with some of the points they make. Like their most major and important rule is that vampires not be noticed by humans, and they make sure to regulate numbers of vampires so they don’t cause their stock to dwindle. Considering the behavior of a lot of other villainous vampires in the series, it’s hard to really paint them in a negative light. These guys are pretty much the only thing holding their entire race back from a self-destructive war with humans they know would not end well for them, so are they really that unreasonable?

I’d argue no, at least in theory. It’s pretty inarguable Caius and especially Aro are ruthless and power-hungry, desiring nothing more than to have total control over the vampire world, which they have gone out of their way to ensure they keep control of over the past 3000 years, with the open defiance of the Cullens being the big snarl. But the fact that Bella, Edward, and Renesmee all come across as ridiculously bland, obnoxious, unsympathetic, and creepy makes it really easy to root for them and wish they’d succeed. And of course, the fact that they have Michael Sheen portraying their leader in the films only exacerbates this; it’s the same sort of issue Ferngully had, really.

Aro is easily a 9/10, a testament to how good Meyers could be if she knew where to focus her writing as well as a testament to the fact that Michael Sheen is just an absolute blast. His performance steals the show from everyone else, and he easily overshadows his compatriots; combine that with just how evil and manipulative he is and you have a delightfully devilish vampiric villian. Frankly, Sheen really does deserve most of the credit, because he is able to not only carry the Volturi scenes due to Aro talking the most in them, he manages to make the others look cooler just by being in close proximity to him. They don’t have to do anything, just the fact they’re working alongside this manipulative loon is enough to make them cool.

Caius is a solid 8/10. While he’s nowhere near as hammy and enjoyable as Aro, he is just so disgustingly, unrepetantly evil and cruel it’s not hard to be a fan of him. Combine that with the fact he’s such a gorgeous man, a stark contrast to his hideous black heart, and you have quite a villain, even if he doesn’t quite reach the levels Aro does. The fact that he gets the coolest death in the entire series (even if it doesn’t actually happen for real) really is just icing on the cake.

Marcus is a bit tricky. He really lacks any sort of presence, he’s sort of a non-entity, and he frankly feels like a waste of a character. Here is a character who, with what his backstory reveals, would be a perfect candidate for a turn against his fellow Volturi and perhaps lead to a grand full-scale vampire war in which the Cullens overthrow the “oppressive” government. And Meyers does absolutely nothing with this, and the movies don’t really do anything with it either. Still, I do like the backstory given in supplementary material, and he just seems so sad and miserable all the time; you really get the feel of the tragedy of this character, even if you don’t necessarily have it spelled outright to you. I think he deserves a 5/10 at the least, because I love his concept, backstory, and just general sadness, but so little is done with him I can’t justify giving him anything higher.

It says a lot about how accidentally great the Volturi are that even the guy who barely does anything at all except look sad still gets to be average at worst, though. I don’t think Meyers really comprehended what she had on her hands with these guys, but their actors sure did, and the fans realized more than her, and altogether the Volturi have become one of the most popular parts of the series. And really, they deserve it, as they are portrayed perfectly (especially Aro, though I’m sure I’ve stressed that enough) and steal every single scene they are in. The whole Twilight Saga is so overdone, overdramatic, and campy that this trio of utterly extra vampire dictators are not only the logical step for the villains of this tacky romantic tale, they make the story infinitely better by existing in it.
