I just read your tiny whump academia drabble and 👁👁 boy oh boy do I love little guys being crushed very near to the point of death where they think their bones are bending but I also started thinking hey, i wouldn't continue to trust such a small and wiley pet in a shoebox even if he is a puny nerd, I think the only way to soothe my worries about an escaping little mouse is to make sure it cant move at all shehfh- Or put it in a cute little leash and harness like a domestic rat :3 specifically a retracting leash so you can yank him back with no effort, and it makes them easier to show off for some friends or benefactors~

so idk if u know the context for the story, but bryce is basically blackmailing nate already. nate is being mercilessly bullied and exploited by him in private, while in public nate basically "joined bryce's friend group". bryce has some compromising photos of nate that hes holding over nate's head and basically forcing him to do all of his schoolwork instead of his own to ensure 1. he doesnt have to work much 2. nate cant keep up his own first place on the college leaderboard academically. bc bryce used to be outperformed by him in just this one aspect, and he thought hm... two birds, one stone

so yeah theres already an insane power dynamic going on when nate shrinks. and bryce is like holy fucking shit this is amazing. yes i'll have to go back to doing my own schoolwork but u know what i came to love even more than not working? bullying nate. and then another aspect of it is that..... how do i say this. turns out bryce has a kink for this sort of thing and now hes just horny. theres rly no better way to phrase this. hes not even gay but hes looking at tiny nate and hes suddenly very horny abt the prospect of this helpless little creature who also happens to be his ex academic rival who was already helpless- u get the picture. i wont go into detail but that has consequences. anyway bryce is obsessed w tiny nate. he also has immense cute aggression! hes restraining himself from crushing nate's tiny bones 24/7.

moving on, this also means bryce is incredibly possessive. he's not gonna show it off to anyone, because honestly he already reported nate missing and he doesnt need anyone trying to steal nate or whatever. what he does is he keeps nate in his pencilcase for a while until he can go out and get a little custom glass box with a detachable lid. its very nice <3 it has some padding at the bottom, tissues and cotton and cloth, whatever bryce could find. tiny food and water bowls are separate and never placed in the box, because controlling when and how nate eats and drinks is another aspect he enjoys a lot. the box is shoved in the closet whenever someone comes to visit.

that being said bryce looooooves to mess w nate, looooooves to mess with immobilising him completely w clear tape for example. very fun stuff. loves how exposed and vulnerable nate is. im sure he also makes little DIY harnesses and collars and stuff, basically just imagine him tying some thread or cloth around nate and yanking him around by it. dangling nate from high places it also fun bc he has a fear of heights. the closet is also fun in itself bc nate Also has a fear of the dark! and bugs. which leads bryce to pick up earthworms and shit and lock them in the glass box w nate. hes a menace and he loves tormenting nate so so much.

but at the end of the day bryce doesnt want to kill or seriously harm nate physically. if he threatens a knife or smth, he never rly goes thru w it. maybe the lightest little scrapes. but he mostly stays away from that. hes also afraid nate will one day turn back to normal and he doesnt want a full sized nate running around without an arm or smth. (he does eventually turn back btw but by that point hes so afraid and so conditioned and bryce has told him so much abt how everyone has moved on that hes just like...... ok. i guess i only have u bryce. sure i'll stay in the closet all the time hidden away until you graduate and can take me with you to your cool new house. its ok i'll stay soulless and very obedient as always.)

bryce treats nate like a toy, and nate never gets over it. nate already felt quite dehumanised and humiliated and small and powerless when he was normal sized. going thru that ordeal being tiny and violated and hurt in so many ways just cements it in. he feels like property, he feels like a toy, he feels like he doesnt have a life outside of being bryce's thing. and he rly doesnt. whenever bryce isnt playing w him, hes locked away in a dark place that makes him feel afraid and claustrophobic and honestly as horrible as bryce is, he doesnt have any other sort of life than the hours bryce spends actively teasing and bullying him.

I like otto re:zero as autistic because like, really, how can you read him as anything else? and yet he's not the calm and quiet stereotype, he's just... a guy. he can be pretty loud and boisterous when he wants too

AGREED! i dont really think theres any other way to read him. i do think that /as a kid/ he more closely fell into the calm+quiet attitude but i also dont think thats... a bad thing? like. what i was saying w the post wasnt its wrong to hc characters who fit into these respective character archetypes with a neurodivergence whos stereotype more closely resembles them. just that there are ways to exist outside of them too. like ive always been a strong proponent of taichi a3 being very adhd but hes also very much the loud and energetic type. but someone else in the tags of the same post said the opposite which is also fine lol

basically its like. ppl should look beyond that surface layer and all. but when you do that youd end up with a picture that looks more like... a 50/50 split of both calm and energetic characters headcanoned as either. instead of just 100% calm in one group 100% energetic in the other. and in that vein i dont think theres any need to overlook the half of people who may look "more" like the stereotype just to be subversive. some adhd ppl are loud, some autistic ppl are quiet. thats fine it just doesnt end there basically. yeah :)

ANYWAY about otto specifically. youre right like. ive already basically done a whole analysis about this but otto's entire story is like. so very. yeah. i dont know how to put it bc i dont think its intentional coding at all, but its something that resonates like it makes sense. you could say oh its just his power hes actually totally nt but like. you cant fully separate him from- esp the way he talks about it as his "abnormality" that his parents worried abt and would take him to see doctors abt and stuff. idk its like, maybe its not "literal" but does it have to be in a fictional story? the same way that in arc 6 subaru more or less develops DID but you could say "oh its just because of the books of the dead" yeah but in the real world what does that look like? you know? i dont think its something you should be looking at w a 1:1 real world perspective. in otto's case i think hed be autistic even without the divine protection though like thats just a bonus. otto really is one of my favorite characters too like hes. look at him

Hi major Gaylor lurked here-

The main two things I really dislike about Gaylors are like, when they get annoyed with Taylor for 'hiding behind press releases' and that kinda thing ('you're gay and that's FINAL'). That NYT article speculates that if Taylor was out then another gay country artist wouldnt have attempted suicide (that country artist was like what the fuck). I have seen zero gaylors even acknowledge that passage. It's all 'that article is so right!' Like theres a lot of blame placed on her for such weird reasons. Like whenever she says gaylors make her uncomfortable, they get aggressive

The other thing is the assumption that if you're not a gaylor it's because you're straight. Actually theres a lot of homophobia in the way they talk- a lot of 'her ex bf was a beard he looks gay in this photo', and 'taylor in a baseball cap is so dykey' which it's just really uncomfortable?

Plus their reading comprehension tends to be really bad and that's just annoying. Like the reaches. And theres so much aggression to any dissenters, even other gaylors who don't 100% agree with a bad lyric reading get dragged

So yeah maybe think twice about calling yourself a gaylor ally? (Plus Karlie Kloss bought iD magazine and immediately deleted the pro-Palestine post... shes not a great person). Theres a distinction between being like 'it's not inherently bad to think Taylor is gay in theory' (even though she has specified shes not in the community and I think it's a bit :/ to accuse a woman of lying about her sex life) and 'gaylors are fine! I stand with them!'

(And yeah they basically never post about other artists. It's pretty weird)

Plus I think it's important we call out Taylor's shitty allyship. And that doesnt happen if we're busy being like 'ok but she might be gay so 💖'.

ok i think u misunderstood what i was saying. my point was that ppl scrutinize gaylors in a way that they don’t for fans who talk abt her the exact same way but in the context of her heterosexual relationships. if u think that there aren’t straight tswift fans who talk abt her exactly like that but in the context of her being straight then u r kidding urself. i dont agree w what they’re saying bc i dont think she’s gay and i esp think many of them go too far but why dont her straight fans who did the same take the same ridicule that gaylors do? there is an extra layer of DARING to suggest that a woman may be gay that i have an issue w. at the end of the day i think these celebrities are too thin skinned at the gay allegations anyway like who cares 🙄 why is it such a bad thing for ppl to think u might be gay? why do u have to make some type of statement abt it? if ur not gay then just go on w ur life the gay allegations aren’t holding u at gunpoint. tswift is so famous it’s not like the gay rumors circulate to her christian conservative fans or impact her bank account or perception over all. ok some teenagers on the internet call her a lesbian and some go too far in their theories. but like i think it’s more of a her issue to be uncomfortable that someone calls her gay than it is an issue of anyone to dare suggest maybe this celebrity is gay? i don’t think ppl should be tweeting celebrities being like come out as gay or kys or whatever (and this goes esp for young celebrities but i don’t think young celebrities should b interacting w fans period) but i think our homophobic society in general is what makes ppl so outraged when ppl speculate a celebrity might be gay. and i get the whole like oh what if they’re closeted and don’t want to come out thing which like. ok. they don’t have to come out though? even if ppl r speculating it that doesn’t mean it’s true and the default perception will always be that someone is straight if they refuse to come out no matter what their fans may say online. do u know how many celebrities in the past when being gay would have absolutely destroyed their careers actually WERE gay and simply just ignored the allegations and lived their lives not coming out 😭 r fans who say maybe she’s a lesbian w their masterposts of proof more invasive than ones that post proof that she’s married or pregnant or secretly has 6 kids? i’m not really interested in the ethics of gaylorism more so the way that it is treated solely bc of the speculation of her being gay vs fans who speculate literally anything else abt her or any other celebrity……i saw a post abt some guy who had gay allegations who said smth like i never felt the need to address it bc they’re not saying anything offensive abt me. like exactly? why do u care so much if ppl perceive u as gay? who cares!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

an: i’m thinking of making this into a series bc this was such an adorable concept to write so lmk if you’re interested 👀 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

diluc

sorry kind of starting off with something a little sad

i think diluc would have a habit of rubbing his vision

ok seems kinda dumb at first but let me elaborate:

after the death of his father, diluc was quite obviously devastated

he basically withdrew into himself after letting all the grief, pain, and rage flood his senses

i think during this time of grieving, he would’ve developed this habit of running the pads of his fingers across his vision to calm himself down

(v similar to katara from atla)

since his father had always been proud of diluc’s vision, the thought of touching something that reminded him of his father has always been able to bring him some sort of relief no matter how short lived

it serves as a constant memory of his dad and i think being able to have that kind of connection - no matter how small would hold a significance to him

stressed? you’ll see his fingers dance across his vision as the crease between his eyebrows gradually loosens

ok here’s a bonus habit (bc the previous one was sad)

whenever he’s bartending at angel’s share, he always flips the bottles in this cool bartending way before pouring the drinks

like the whole shabang - flips in the air, shakes it in a way that the drink foams just right

people are usually v surprised when they see this bc woah mans has got some sKILLS

but also bc he’s known for being pretty serious and reserved so seeing a “trick” is kind of breaking the stoic image they have of him

after he’s done pouring the drinks he’s also really precise about closing the bottles

he makes sure that the caps are on tightly and that nothing is leaking (which ig is another reason why he does flips with them so he can make sure that the bottles are tightly closed)

yes he’s rich but he also wants to make sure the drinks don’t go bad bc 1) kind of a loss if they do and 2) his customers deserve the best

sweet man pls protect him <3

kaeya

when he’s sitting down at his desk, he brings his legs up so he can sit on his chair criss- cross applesauce

since he’s in his office and the only other person who’s in there with him is jean, he feels like he can drop the suave, charming cavalry captain facade he puts on when he’s in public and just dial it down slightly to who he really is in that moment

jean doesn’t say a word the entire time even tho she quite obviously notices

don’t get me wrong, he’s still the smooth talking kaeya but just,,, more relaxed and comfortable?? if that makes sense

so since he’s a lot more comfortable in his office, he usually folds his legs into his chair bc damn they hurt from walking around all day

this is kinda dumb but i also think he has a lot of ink stains on his hands from writing so whenever he sees a fresh one he just likes to stamp it onto a piece of paper

usually that piece of paper ends up being an unimportant report that goes to jean

dw he also has a bunch of pretty small towels in his bottom drawer that he uses to wipe his hands on bc the public can’t see the pretty cavalry captain w ink stains!! the world would end!!

oH kind of a side note but i also think he would keep a small folded up picture of something klee drew him in his pocket

he thinks it’s very sweet and he periodically takes it out just to look at it soft for this man

last one for kaeya but since he wears boots that have the little lip on the bottom (not really a heel but enough to make some noise) he makes sure to always try his best to walk quietly around the streets of mondstadt at night

if anyone catches him doing it he’ll wave it off and say something like “oh me? i’m just practicing my stealth - it comes in handy when you have to sneak up on enemies you know?” but in reality that’s just bs

he really just doesn’t wanna risk waking people up <3

venti

this adorable man is obviously notorious for drinking

he loves alcohol!! i mean he’s the anemo archon of the city of wine and freedom so is anyone really surprised 💀

anyways venti always jokes abt not having any mora (he really doesn’t he’s not wrong) but he always makes sure to pay his tab at angel’s share

the only reason diluc lets him drink sm is because at the end of the day, venti always comes through w the mora

he really is a talented bard so everything he makes in singing and composing music for other people to listen to always goes straight to angel’s share (debatable if that’s for the best or not but i’ll leave that one to you)

so yeah <3 basically venti pays back his tabs even tho he’s an archon since he doesn’t want people to experience a loss bc of him

it’s the archon nature coming out but also the venti nature bc he’s a sweet boy

anyways getting onto the actual habit 🕺

he has a tendency to skip/hop regardless of wherever he’s going

he uses his anemo elemental skill a lot while doing this just he can feel a light breeze whenever he skips around

i also think he carries around extra bard strings in his hat bc he thinks it’s a cool party trick to take them out and be like tada i have extra strings no need to worry!!!

people are usually not that amused but he does it anyway

also yeah uh those strings sometimes fall out when he’s skipping 💀

he’ll be hopping and suddenly bOOM they fall out, he loses them, a kitten by the name of prince takes them, and he has to ask for help to find his strings (i believe this is exactly how venti lost his strings to prince during the windblume festival and no i will not take any criticism and if venti says something different he is lying 🔪)

also has a habit of putting his hair into a bun sometimes!!!

he loves his pigtails but he finds that he gets bored of them occasionally and his hair needs a break from its wavy tresses so he just plops it into a bun instead

so so cute 10/10 hairstyle he can do my hair

anyways love this man thanks for coming home <3

albedo

i had a feeling i would kind of have a hard time w albedo since he is a little hard to read so i hope this is ok LMFAO

he has paint stains. everywhere. no you cannot change my mind.

they are subtle tho i will give him that

you can’t notice that anything is amiss until you really pay attention and then you’ll start to see the pretty pastels and greens of the sunset he was painting up on dragonspine softly smeared across his clothes

very rarely you’ll see a cute swipe of paint across his cheek or neck and it’s honestly adorable

he was probably pushing his hair out of his face while he was painting and some excess paint on his finger landed on his cheek :,)

he doesn’t really care tbh he thinks it’s just a part of him and it really isn’t that noticeable so he just leaves it

also!!! since he is a big alchemist and he’s constantly working on labs and experiments i think he would accidentally misplace a lot of his written work

he seems very organized but w someone as intellectual as him w his brain running miles a minute, i’m sure he has definitely forgotten where he’s put stuff away

so!! in order to help him remember, he has little notes across his lab detailing where everything is

if he was working on something and he immediately has to put it on hold bc something came up (klee came in demanding attention or sucrose needs help) then he’ll quickly jot down a note and stick it to his desk so he’ll remember when he comes back just in case he forgets

sucrose as a result has noticed A LOT of notes across the lab and it’s simultaneously funny and endearing

“started experiment with sweet flowers to try and turn them into a youth elixir: papers --> on the desk right next to klee’s photo”

final point: he lets klee braid his hair sometimes if she wants to

she doesn’t really know how given how young she is so she ends up messing up but albedo always walks her patiently through the steps again

always makes time for klee no matter what bc he really does care a lot abt her :,)

here's some general headcanons ive got for him

overall pretty quiet but damn he is a very physical, very angry person if he's upset (and he is always at least mildly pissed off, may be projecting oh no)

autistic and wears sunglasses a lot bc bright sun is godawful (not great to live in a bright ass desert but oh well)

so much bottling up of emotions oh my gOD kobra please talk to people

twins w party poison (though poison does not know this, their memory prior to 13 is entirely gone bc of BLi. which is another reason why they need to talk lmao)

he loves to feel emotions dialed up to 10 bc his emotions were so heavily dampened down when he was on BLi's medication

ANGRY

trans but everyone is so u already knew that

not a great biker but it's very fun so he does it a lot

gets in a lot of crashes bc of the above point oh no

loves making random little gadgets

his crowning achievement is the vend-a-hack which very nearly got broken the first day he tried to use it (also happened to be the day he met ghoul, yes those two events are related, yes it is the way you'd think but not in the way you'd probably guess)

loves his sibling a lot :(

here's some backstory

saw party poison get taken away in front of him when he was 13. he didn't shed a single tear and even though his whole body was screaming, he couldn't let out a sound

despite how muddled his head was and how many times he got in trouble, he kept trying to find people to get information on where his sibling could be

eventually got to a point where he just wanted to escape. so he ran out of battery city in a t shirt and shorts (the desert's hot right??) and a few important things that he could carry in his pockets

among this was a polaroid picture of him and party from when party had found an illegal camera. it has two words written on the back in poison's sloppy attempt at cursive: "my brother!" this means a lot bc it was the first time poison called him brother (they took the photo like right after he came out)

he also has a small cd player with one single cd: ¡viva la cobra! also a gift from his sibling

so he attempts to escape through a gate w/o alerting the drac guards but he does anyway

ends up running from them and gets shot in the lower leg and grazed on the arm in a strange, snake-like pattern because of how he was limping

makes it out into the desert in the middle of the night, in a t shirt and shorts, bleeding from one leg and one arm so hurt he can hardly move it without screaming

so, not knowing any better, he wanders directly along route guano hoping to find some semblance of civilization. the desert's supposed to be teeming with killjoys according to BLi isn't it??

eventually collapses along the road, shivering, in withdrawal, and also having lost a fuck ton of blood

after who knows how long, he hears motors and hopes for the best

it's the worst

a drac patrol comes careening across the sand, kicking up dust and headed straight for him

but he realizes they aren't coming for him; they're running from someone else (as evident by the lasers arcing over their heads and occasionally hitting them)

and a band of killjoys also come down the road and take down the dracs right in front of kobra

once the dust has both literally and metaphorically settled, the group notices kobra sitting dazed in the sand, propped up against a rock trying to brace against the cold

a very nice killjoy in a red jacket who can't be more than a year or two kobra's senior goes over to him and gives him their jacket as the rest of their crew calls someone called "cherri" on their radio

kobra later gets to properly meet this killjoy and learns their name is jet star

after what feels like hours, the killjoy group finally decided they've got to get moving and they'll have to leave kobra to wait for cherri. kobra's not sure why they're in such a hurry, but they're not going to be able to wait with him for cherri cola to show up

so they let him know what cherri looks like, tell him to hide out nearby where they told cherri he was at, and wish him luck as they all speed off on their motorcycles

kobra's not sure how much time passes before he hears yet another engine roaring up route guano

he sees a dull green truck come rumbling over the hill, but doesn't see the person until the truck is on the road right next to his hiding place

when the guy that seemed to pretty well match the other 'joys description steps out of the truck, kobra fumbles up to his feet, entirely forgetting his injuries for a moment

man, this bitch falls flat on his fucking face and is just out cold

cherri is, as you would imagine, extremely concerned and very quickly gets this kid back to the dj shack where he can fix up his wounds and hopefully keep the poor kid from dying then and there

but he lives so fuck yeah! and cherri takes him in, so he lives at the djs shack for a while before meeting the rest of the four

that's as far as i'll go for his backstory lmao agndvsjsvsh i just have many thoughts abt poor kobra just trying his best to escape and failing in every aspect short of dying

Summary: You were BTS’s manager then one day, your whole world turned upside down just from one person...

A/N: I know this is a BTS fanfic and my page is mostly abt the wizarding world but, I am happy to do any other. I’ll just search up who they are and research a bit but, I used to be an Army, so here we go! Hope you enjoy!

Y/n was the manager of BTS. She was the only main manager that was a girl. She thought she would have a normal life as a manager, getting BTS’s schedule ready, driving the van to places they had to go to. Just until y/n started to have feelings for Yoon-gi, Suga. You just couldn’t stop thinking about him and his great personality, his smile, laugh, just everything. It’s been 2 whole years since you had a crush on him, and you know what they say, if a crush lasts for more than 4 months, your in love.

The other members knew that you had a huge crush on Yoon-gi. They saw how you got flustered whenever he was next to you. They saw how awkward you became when Yoon-gi was around. So, they already knew that you like Yoon-gi without you even having to tell them. But you doubted yourself, what if Yoon-gi just saw you as a manager? What if you got rejected if you confessed your feelings to him?

WELL, y/n didn't even have to worry, cuz Yoon-gi liked her back. Well, he didn't know that you like him but, did like you. He liked you longer than you did. He was just so good at hiding it. His heart beamed faster when he was with you in anyway.

The other members were just fed up of this. Yoon-gi already told them that he liked you. I mean when you live with other people, you have no secrets.

“Hyung, are you going to tell y/n about the.. thing?” Jungkook asked.

“Yeah! You can’t just expect your feelings to show just by waiting!” Jimin said.

It sounded like he had enough. It has been years and years and Jimin couldn’t handle it anymore. They all agreed to not tell Yoon-gi that you had feelings for him too. They wanted the two of you to figure it out, but they also wanted to tell him and you so badly. You know when yo have a secret about someone and that someone is there and you want to tell them so badly but can’t? I mean, I went trough that loads of times. I have too much secrets.

Meanwhile, you were getting everything ready for their photo shoot. You checked if all the outfits were ready and if there was anything wrong with it. You checked multiple times if the studio was ready and took care of everything. With one word, you were very busy. You just wanted to go home and rest more than ever. Even more than a boring day after school.

After you got everything in place, the members were ready to go. They were still in their hoodies and comfortable clothes. Y/n and the members went to the van and Y/n drove to the photo studio.

They went in and got their hair and makeup done. You were getting things ready and putting snacks on a small table so anyone can grab some when they need a little snack. Then you went to where BTS was getting their hair and makeup done. You couldn’t seem to find Yoon-gi, maybe he was done with his hair and makeup and was changing. You asked the others if everything was going alright.

“Is everything fine?” Y/n asked

“Yeah nuna (older sis).” Tae-hyung answered

“Okay 😊”

You asked the others too and they all said everything was fine. Then you saw Yoon-gi walk out of the changing room. You saw how handsome he was. I mean, you saw it all the time but, every time you got flustered. You went over and said to Yoon-gi,

“I think the stylist picked the right outfit for you. You look ready for the photo shoot.”

“Thanks” Yoon-gi answered with a smile.

But you were sort of regretting what you said at the end,

‘Really y/n? ‘You look ready for the photo shoot’? What is that?!’ You sighed and got back to work.

BTS shot their photos and you were looking at the monitor to look at the photos and to see if they were good. It was the same old days as usual. Your muscles were trying to kill you. Your whole body was aching. You could feel your body heating up. You started to feel dizzy and you fainted.

Y/n’s eyes started to open little by little. She looked around and saw Yoon-gi next to her on a stool. It looked like she was at the emergency room.

“Ah, thank you for waking up..” Yoon-gi said with watery eyes.

“Yoon-gi ya... w..whats wrong?” y/n asked with a worried face.

“You developed a flu.. no wonder you were working so hard...” Yoon-gi answered.

“Next time, take some rest.”

“How can I.. I have work to do. It’s my job as a manager to well.. sort of take care of you guys. I don't have time for me.” Y/n said while looking at her fingers.

“Well, then you have to find a way to make some time. Every time I see you working so hard all the time, I worry that your going to end up in the hospital. And now you did. I’ll talk to Mr. Bang.”

“It’s okay..” You answered.

“I’m not okay with it! Y/n Y/l! I like you! And I don’t like to see you like this! If it was natural we can’t do much about it, but you were doing much more than you needed to. You have to take care of yourself.”

Did Yoon-gi just say that he liked you? You just stared at him with a startled face. Then you finally said something,

“Wa..wait, did you just say that.. that you like me?”

“Yes.. I have been for the last 4 years.” Yoon-gi answered

“...Well, I like you too. I liked you for 2 years...”

Then without any words, Yoon-gi pulled y/n into his arms and pulled her into a light kiss. I know I don’t do these things in my fanfics but, here I’ll just give it this time. They pulled away. Then y/n asked with a laugh,

“What does this make us?”

“My lover forever.” Yoon-gi answered.

Y/n laughed a little and hugged Yoon-gi. She couldn’t believe it. She was with the guy of her dreams. Even if this was a dream, she didn’t want to wake up.

im obsessed w this concept SOMEONE WRITE A REAL FIC ABT THIS

he doesn’t know why his age limit is set so low anyway, but when he comes across you, alone in bed with a hand behind his head and nothing better to do, he nearly chokes. you’re so goddamn cute. he’s always thought so, but especially now, staring at your goofy photos and your bio (“i once went bowling and got a 40 so yeah, i guess you could say i’m a pro”) and you both have the same anthem and he’s a little too tired, so his subconscious makes the decision for him and swipes right on your profile.

he jolts in surprise. “no, no, no, no, no.” the word is strung over and over, long after he’s relieved to know that you haven’t done the same for him. eventually, late into the night, his stomach still rolling in anxiety, he falls asleep.

a few weeks later, he’s almost forgotten about it and you’re still none the wiser. you’re with your best friend, drunk in your living room, your phone in her hand as you giggle and reach for it.

“i don’t know why you even have this anymore. you never even get on.” she says, swiping haphazardly on tinder.

you roll your eyes. “not all of us were built to go on three tinder dates a week.”

she laughs at that, swiping through the guys as you turned back to the television, sipping a bit of the poorly mixed vodka and sprite in your glass until she gasps loudly. “holy shit.” she gapes. your head lolls to the side to look at her in interest. “holy shit. holy shit!”

“god, what?” you laugh.

“professor lee!”

“what about him?”

“he’s on tinder!”

you gasp, scrambling to get closer to look at your screen, which she hands easily to you. and there he was. devilishly handsome and so sweet. lots of photos with friends and a few of him by himself, smiling more beautifully than you’ve ever seen him. his bio is simple (“not nearly as serious as i look.” it makes you squeal and you’ve never felt so fond toward someone) and when you catch sight of his anthem, you grin.

“we’ve got the same song on there.” the giggle that follows is delighted and a small piece of you indulges in the fantasy, where you’re just two people who meet online. and you’re tipsy, but not so tipsy that you’re willing to make that mistake, so you say, “it’d be crazy for me to swipe right on him. that’s just...i couldn’t do that.”

your best friend tries to snatch your phone from your hands. “just do it! he’s hot and you’re hot.”

“and he’s our professor!”

her fingers wrap around your phone and you both struggle for it until it lands in her grasp, her thumb quickly swiping right before you could grab your phone back.

there’s a thick moment of silence as you allow her decision sink in until she looks at you in shock and turns your phone to face you.

it’s a match! the app proclaims. gwilym likes you too.

“he what?”

he gets the notification in the middle of a particularly gruelling session of grading papers, so he decides to take a small break and check it. he snorts when he sees it and rolls his eyes, opening the app despite himself. he looks at his matches and right there, clear as day, there you are. he can’t do much else but gape at his screen for a moment before he locks his phone, sets it down, and immediately picks it back up when he gets another notification.

y/n sent you a message.

with bated breath, he unlocks his phone and clicks on the app.

y/n: so...this is more than a little uncomfortable.

he finally laughs, shaking his head as he rolls a reply around in his head.

gwilym: a pro bowler, huh?

y/n: what can i say? it just comes naturally to some. i’m one of the lucky ones.

gwilym: so i’ve heard. i suppose we can’t all be lebowski.

y/n: professor LEE.

y/n: i think that may be one of the first references you’ve made that i understand.

the following morning, after you spend all night talking to gwilym, you knock tentatively on his door during office hours. opening the door at his command, you smile sheepishly at him when you enter the office and close the door softly behind you. he clears his throat and a blush begins to spread across his cheeks, which makes you feel a little bit more secure.

“hey.” you greet softly.

“y/n,” he returns, standing up. he remains behind his desk in fear of overstepping the invisible boundary between you. “i’m glad you’re here.”

“you are?” the hopeful twinge in your voice makes you wince but he just smiles softly.

“we have something to settle.”

“exactly.”

so he returns to his seat and you sit across from him, nervously crossing your legs under his stare. “this whole situation...it was inappropriate. i never should have acted that way.”

“no!” you exclaim hotly, leaning forward slightly. “you did nothing wrong. it was all me. please don’t blame yourself.” your words faltered as he continued to watch you, your cheeks growing warm.

“i don’t want you to get the wrong idea. you are lovely. i’ve always thought so, and maybe, if things were different—” he cuts himself off and you feel your breath catch in your throat.

“yeah. maybe.”

you both stand, his hand reaching for yours for a professional, clean handshake. but your hands stay connected and so do your eyes, the silence in the office stifling both of you. you aren’t sure who initiates it, but within a moment you’re on the same side of the desk, his hands holding you close to his body with his lips pressed against yours and your hips pressed against the solid wood. you can barely breathe but when he pulls away, your lips chase his. he chuckles softly before clearing his throat.

“right. well, then...i hope you’re prepared to learn how to bowl.”

you think maybe your best friend is right. one tinder date couldn’t hurt.

n without further ado... let’s kick it !

this is striker, he’s 28 ( soon to b 29 #ariesculture ) n he’s very complicated.. very complicated....

his mom cherry kim ( nee corallo ) is the daughter of lorenzo corallo, renowned filmmaker. daphne had a stint in acting in her youth as well but ending up withdrawing from the spotlight once she married his dad.

his dad is warren kim, business man

what kind of business you ask ? well..

let us rewind a little bit, shall we? now if you know anything about the ins and outs of organized crime in new york city, the name corallo might sound *eyes emoji* familiar to you. giovanni corallo was a boss of the lucchese crime family until his arrest and… you guessed it… that means our man lorenzo corallo is a man of the mafia !

lorenzo, however, wasn’t a first-born son which also meant he wasn’t an heir in any way shape or form and was free to do his thing you know BUT when it came time to arrange marriage for his one and only daughter, cherry, it was Expected of him to keep it in the family

enter the kim family, who had been loyal to the lucchese family for as long as they’d been in america and had built up quite a reputation for themselves in the family, so it was just a natural choice to marry off cherry to their son, warren

they had two kids! their first-born son, dagger, and their second-son…. STRIKER !

and, as in all mafia stories, there is no better prize than the benefits reaped from die-hard loyalty, so in addition to getting to marry a corallo girl… a series of unfortunate events ( i.e. some deaths and arrests ) led to the promotion from right-hand man to acting boss of none other than our very own warren kim

now being the child of an acting mob boss is stressful, but being the second-son of an acting mob boss is… slightly less stressful. see, cherry stepping Out of the spotlight was a strategic move on her own part but was entirely her own decision which meant that striker was free to choose the exact opposite

with no real mafia-related responsibilities or expectations ( other than keeping his mouth SHUT ) on his shoulders, he was more or less… free to roam however he wanted and as he’s always had a taste for the finer things in life, there’s no real surprise that he chose to follow his mother’s side of the family and became nothing short of a socialite in new york city

which.. despite what the press says abt our #mans striker kim ( i.e. being a billionaire playboy, irresponsible, reckless, wild, etc. ) he’s smart n his main motivation for heading straight for the spotlight is bc every person who falls in love w him is part of a complex and expansive insurance policy that makes it that much harder for the mafia to make him Disappear, u know ?

this is one of the reasons why striker and dagger never Really not along, though striker’s always had this theory that dagger was built for nothing but the mafia anyway bc he’s straight up one of the meanest, cruelest, most RUTHLESS people that striker has ever met. but, like, with a name like dagger… how could you not be?

things really start getting #Complicated for striker when he’s ABOUT to graduate from college and his dad yeets this mortal coil in a Shocking Tragic Unexpected death ! it doesn’t really affect striker all that much bc striker spent a lot of his life living with his grandfather in the city but… rather when his father dies it’s dagger that ascends into the role of acting boss and BOY OH BOY that’s nothing but trouble for striker

dagger gets striker roped right back into the mafia that he worked his whole life to try n get out of.. just like that. sad.

and because striker is… como se dice…. a stubborn shithead with a penchant for the dramatics, he starts looking for a way to make his brothers life absolute hell because! yes! striker IS the person who fucks with the mafia! what a moron!

for a good few years it was just minor stuff, nothing really consequential, but that gets boring very quickly bc ... u know ... it is what it is

ANYWAY. he really finds his in to what’s going to make dagger kim’s life HELL and that is getting himself involved in a little heist group. there are only so many events that striker can show his face that end with a robbery of some sort before it starts to become suspicious, and it doesn’t take a genius to connect the kim family to the corallo family to the lucchese family. it’s just enough to keep people talking but not enough to actively incriminate himself. and as long as he’s not publicly throwing the lucchese family under the bus, he’s still, by all accounts, insured by the mafia as the son of warren kim.

anyway! enough w the backstory! here’s some fun lil personality n headcanon stuff :’)

first and foremost.. he does have a face tatoo. ( and an eyebrow piercing and yes i have photos of both if u want to see them ) it’s of a crown on his left cheek and he got it within a week of his father dying and dagger forcing him to come back into the mafia to Assert His Dominance n show dagger he was still in charge of his own goddamn decisions so fuck you dagger

dagger punched him in the face for getting the tattoo and he had a black eye for two weeks but you win some you lose some

on the surface? rich kid asshole!!! rich RICH kid asshole!!! you know the kind of guy you take one ( 1 ) look at him and you’re like yeAh u absolutely think that ur better than me ? that’s him

does he rly think he’s better than u? unclear.. depends on who u are... i already have some thots abt who striker wld dislike hmu tho aha x

fluent in english ofc n also korean and italian, his primary language is lit rally a jumble of korean and italian tht nobody can understand but like.. him n dagger n his dad ( rip ) n he also knows a little spanish and japanese.

he’s afraid of horses but will never admit it

he loves to bet!!! he loves it!!! it’s probably from growing up in a family where making bets on things was a major source of income but he will 100000% place bets on anything there is to place bets on and will rope as many people into his betting pools as possible

he hasn’t had his gay awakening yet isn’t that tragic?? turns out the mafia ISN’T a very lgbt friendly place, who would have thought?? so that’s absolutely something that’s going to happen bc we know that i love to make my characters suffer esp when it’s related to their attraction to someone whew…

he’s somehow both the biggest gossip and the most secretive person that you’ll ever meet??? like he’s an instigator n will make offhanded comments abt what he’s observed other ppl doing recently that he thinks are… inch resting… and you’ll have this long ass conversation w him and not realize until like 2 hours later that he didn’t say one ( 1 ) thing abt himself the entire time

you know how finnick from the hunger games used to get paid for things w secrets??? that’s so striker to the core… like you can’t buy him or bribe him bc baby has $$$ and is so disinterested in the glitz and glamor of fast cars and expensive drinks and whatnot, so if you really want him to do something for him… you’re going to have to trade him some secrets… n that’s that on that!

he doesn’t like to take his shirt off around ppl bc #scars ( predominantly the large letter L that’s branded on his chest but there are some others that i haven’t decided on yet ) anyway he does not partake in the pool parties n as explanation has just always told everyone that he doesn’t know how to swim… n he’ll die w that lie, thank u !

very paranoid... has 2 different phones w his contacts n codes.. folds his clothes a certain way so he can know if someone touched his stuff... has a fun in a safe under his bed that he changes the passcode to regularly.... he also has some ocd but a lot of it is #trauma

im sry there r so many points here i .. rly tried to trim them down n there are like 300% more in my app but.. whew... ok
