I have a theory…
Tumblr media
Everyone is up and arms about the elriel v. gwynriel debate so if you get easily triggered about those ships pls avert your eyes cause I’m gonna be unapologetically brutal.
Tumblr media
I just finished reading CC2 (ik I’m behind) and it opened my eyes to something SJM has been saying since the beginning.
Now, while reading this massive book, I had a continuing foreboding feeling that Hunt was going to be replaced by Ithan as Bryce’s love interest. Bc as we know SJM always switches up the MMC after one book or so, so I was scurred. BUT
I was pleasantly surprised to see that SJM did all in her power to reinforce the idea that these two are endgame, by having Bryce CHOOSE Hunt and vice versa — going against her arranged marriage, the royal lineage requirements, and the added complexity of mates for fae, angels, and wolves
Tumblr media
It was refreshing to see Bryce and Hunt come together out of true love as opposed to SJM’s usual trope of “oh they were destined so they have to be together”. Don’t get me wrong, I love her other couples too - but Bryce and Hunt have always been my favs bc of this fact.
Then, imagine my surprise when I see that Bryce and Hunt CHOOSE to be mates. Simply bc the title bf & gf didn’t work for them. THEN, they’re revealed to be true mates, and their love for one another simply forged this unbreakable bond where now they have the same strength (if not stronger) then preordained mates.
Here’s where the ACOTAR ships come in…
Now…i don’t care who mrs Maas decides to put together. I have loved every single couple she has produced so ik I’ll love the next inner circle couple. BUT ik in my heart of hearts and based off of common sense that it’s going to be Elain + Azriel
Tumblr media
(Also pls keep in mind that the ACOTAR fae are the ancestors of the CC fae, which means whatever Bryce and Hunt can feel/do/etc, first originated or was discovered in the ACOTAR world) which means this true mates thing that Bryce and Hunt have can have originated with Az & Elain
CC3 takes place after ACOSF, where we all know there are things needing to be addressed. Bryce wakes up on the lawn of the townhouse where Az is and there’s fresh bread & roses in the air…then everyone else arrives later. Meaning Az was at the townhouse by himself…with the bread & roses (Elain).
Tumblr media
Some of y’all might think that’s a stretch or irrelevant, but I think it’s fully intentional that SJM put CC3 before the next ACOTAR book. It’s bc everyone in the ACOTAR world up until this point has followed the rules of “be with your mate and love them”, but now Bryce is there as a clear example of having a mate not chosen by some stupid bowl, but by herself and her heart. Which is something I think will strike a chord with Elain and Azriel.
Az has NEVER been chosen, and I don’t think (even if gwyn is his mate or his backup singer or whatever y’all are calling her now) he will be satisfied by someone being thrown to him, forced to love him bc of a bond. He wants them to choose to love him like his dad and Mor didn’t (sry Mor stans but she didn’t, she admitted so herself in ACOWAR)
Tumblr media
Rhys (sry cause I also dislike him after ACOSF) is just like Bryce’s bio dad and is trying to place a barrier between the couple in the name of politics and what is usually done, but just like Bryce (I.E. WHY THERE IS A BONUS CHAPTER W HER, AZ, AND NES (THE ONLY 2 (-Rhys) WHO WILL KNOW ABOUT AZ’s FEELINGS)) Az/Elain will choose to divert that standard, motivated by the love Bryce expresses for her chosen mate, Hunt.
Plus, can I mention y’all also acted this way with Cass met Emery at the end of ACOFAS…and thought they were gonna be together before ACOSF came out and now y’all are doing the same to Gwyn. I personally think Gwyn has been traumatized beyond belief by men, and I don’t think what she needs in her life to heal from that is the man that saved her from that trauma. She doesn’t need to be saved or reminded of that time in her life anymore. Like, girl could still not bring herself to leave the house of wind at the end of ACOSF. Idk about y’all but I wouldn’t fall in love with the cop who saved me from that kind of crime, I’d move on and find love for myself.
Tumblr media
No matter if you’re a gwynriel stan or not, we can all agree that the kiss at the end of ACOSF cannot be ignored, and this relationship between Az and Elain has been building up for THREE BOOKS. Gwyn has only been here for one. Take it from me my lovely gwynriels, and be prepared for disappointment.
NOW, where does Lucien fit in all of this? I think Lucien takes the same stance as Ithan from CC. Elain doesn’t know the sassy, caring Lucien we know bc the only interactions she’s had with him were when he sold her out to Hybern (mind you: when she was ENGAGED) and when he’s been around her bc he felt this need due to a mating bond. It’s fair that she doesn’t love him, just like it’s fair that Bryce doesn’t love Ithan. Just because there’s a bond, in whatever form, doesn’t mean that entitles another to that female’s love.
Tumblr media
Lucien deserves someone who wants to be with him and as a fan of his character, too, I don’t want him stuck with Elain. Especially when she’s made it so clear she doesn’t want him. I think Lucien accepting Elain going with Azriel will lead him back to the Spring Court (cause it’ll still hurt, and he’ll need space) and give y’all that Tamlin redemption arc you’ve been dying for for some reason.
Tumblr media
Either way, the answer of who is Az’s mate is a big topic, so I think SJM doing the same thing with him that she did with Bryce and Hunt in CC2 would be so bomb. Plus, she’s always said that the books she writes will be with the female at the forefront, so sry babes, there’s no Azriel book.
So book 5/6 (incl ACOFAS) in the ACOTAR world will be Elriel, then it’ll be Morr/all of the couples, and the novella will probably be Spring Court (i.e., Vaasa/Tamlin/Lucien). Don’t quote me on anything past the next ACOTAR book, I’m just guessing on those
Anyway, that’s how I think it’s going to go but I’m not the author or anything, so take this as you will

Coriolanus is literally so in love with Lucy Gray though, like when he accidentally lets slip that he killed three people, and she confronts him about it, the only thing he was able to make up was that he killed his old self to set out on a new life with her?? He definitely isn’t bad at lying, since he’s able to manipulate so many people to do his bidding. He could’ve said that he indirectly killed Arachne or Dill, or even make up a random person from his childhood he indirectly killed, but was unable to, because it was Lucy Gray, who made him feel this myriad of emotions he was unfamiliar with, who made him question everything he ever stood for.
And yes, it can be argued that him doubting his decision to leave his original life behind was a sign that he didn't truly love her, but it's more mistrust than anything. I honestly think that he just didn't want to choose between leaving the Capitol and leaving her, because both meant a lot to him, the former being his dream since he was young, the latter being his hope for a life with his true love. In the ending of TBOSAS, he shoots like crazy in the woods when he gets bitten by the snake under her scarf, but that can be attributed to how he was nurtured growing up. Capitol life affected him in many ways, the most prominent one being how paranoid he is of others backstabbing him. The years of growing in this type of society would not have disappeared simply because of love, unlike what many novel depict (which i think is amazing of Suzanne Collins for not having him change completely because of "pure love"), so this clash between his love for Lucy Gray and his beliefs from Capitol life ending with the latter taking over is completely valid, even if he loves her. Years later, when Katniss comes around, the effects of Lucy Gray's "betrayal" is shown in how haunted he was when he saw the mockingjay pin Katniss wears, and the songs she sings. He completely believes that Katniss and Peeta didn't really love each other because of this trauma of Lucy Gray abandoning him, and I don't think he would've been this affected by her betrayal if he didn't truly love her.

What do you think Erik's past was with women, when it comes to dating and women. I'd like to know what your take is.
"dating" is probably not the word I'd use. Delving into the text of the book there are two parts that stick out to me as indicating that Erik may have a history with women other than Christine this segment here from the scene at Apollo's Lyre where Christine is recounting events to Raoul "You wanted to know what I looked like! Oh, you women are so inquisitive! Well, are you satisfied? I'm a very good-looking fellow, eh? … When a woman has seen me, as you have, she belongs to me. She loves me for ever. I am a kind of Don Juan, you know!' And, drawing himself up to his full height, with his hand on his hip, wagging the hideous thing that was his head on his shoulders, he roared, 'Look at me! I AM DON JUAN TRIUMPHANT!' And, when I turned away my head and begged for mercy, he drew it to him, brutally, twisting his dead fingers into my hair." Seems to indicate that this kind of thing has happened before. It is possible Erik is speaking generally and it's not definitive proof but it is interesting, the verbiage he uses.
And this scene towards the end of the book when he has Raoul and the Persian in his torture chamber
"What are you running away for?" asked the furious voice, which had followed her. "Give me back my bag, will you? Don't you know that it is the bag of life and death?"
"Listen to me, Erik," sighed the girl. "As it is settled that we are to live together ... what difference can it make to you?"
"You know there are only two keys in it," said the monster. "What do you want to do?"
"I want to look at this room which I have never seen and which you have always kept from me ... It's woman's curiosity!" she said, in a tone which she tried to render playful.
But the trick was too childish for Erik to be taken in by it.
"I don't like curious women," he retorted, "and you had better remember the story of BLUE-BEARD and be careful ... Come, give me back my bag! ... Give me back my bag! ... Leave the key alone, will you, you inquisitive little thing?"
And he chuckled, while Christine gave a cry of pain. Erik had evidently recovered the bag from her." He says he doesn't like "curious women" and makes a reference to Blue Beard, which is a fairytale about a serial killer who murders his wives. There's a scene in Blue Beard where the most recent wife discovers a room with the bodies of his previous wives. The first quote could be dismissed but this is the second time Erik has indicated a dislike for curious women. Erik's lair is canonically full of traps and features a very cruel torture chamber. By evoking the image of Blue Beard in particular the narrative seems to be further implying that Erik does have some history of women and not a pleasant one. It's possible that Erik is just trying to scare Christine out of looking in the room but it's equally likely that it's not an idle threat. He's shown that he's not above putting hands on Christine and treating her roughly despite his claims to love her. I have a personal theory that Christine is not the first but Erik knows she is going to be the last. I've always kind of run on the idea that throughout the book Erik is aware his health is failing and the clock is winding down for him and that's why Christine is different, because she's his last chance and in the end she does give him, not a living bride, but something much more needed: redemption and forgiveness from someone he's harmed. Proof that he's not unworthy of human compassion. A lot of people in the Phandom don't seem to recognize how dark of a character Erik is. I find him legitimately scary as much as I also find him sympathetic and I think he is fascinating in part because there is something genuinely terrifying about him that tickles my love for horror stories. I feel like it's vague enough that you can leave it up to interpretation, so if you don't really like the idea that he's had women in his past that he ended up killing you can chalk it up to Erik just trying to frighten Christine into compliance but I think it's interesting to look at the darker takes and speculate about the skeletons in his closet.

Erebus is Sel's father, here's why many people and I think so:
1) Erebus and Natasia (Sel's mom) gave each other nicknames. Like Natasia named Erebus Erebus and Erebus named Natasia Nyx when they were in school. So I assume they were pretty close.
2) When Erebus talks about her in Bloodmarked he seems very fond of her.
3) Erebus literally knows where Natasia is at the end of Bloodmarked, maybe they have kept in touch for years.
4) Point three leads me to point four, does Natasia knows Erebus is the demon king? Maybe she didn't know it when they were teenagers but she eventually discovered it. How did she react? Is that part of the reason why she and Erebus grew apart?
5) Speaking of their nicknames, in Greek Mithology Erebus and Nyx are literally married. Erebus was the personification of deep darkness and in many myths Erebus and Nyx were inseparable. So why give each others the names of married deities if they weren't sentimentally involved?

The 3rd Quarter Quell was rigged
Some people think the 3rd Quarter Quell (I’m just going to abbreviate it 3QQ from now on) was rigged in the sense the Capitol purposely chose for the concept to be tributes being reaped from the existing pool of victors. I do agree that that is very likely, however I do think it was rigged in another sense. Snow could sense an uprising was brewing so naturally he wants to stop it from really starting. To do that, he needs to get rid of people that could be a threat to the Capitol. The capitol has mistreated many of their victors so well deservingly a lot of them are angered at the Capitol and would be willing to join a rebellion.
So they rig the games so that the victors they think are most likely going to be a threat to the Capitol are chosen. For example, Finnick O’Dair. He was forced into prostitution at a young age, and would naturally be very angry at Capitol, along with knowing the secrets of many important Capitol people. If he dies in the Games, it will be unsuspicious and convient for the Capitol. There is another layer added to that though when we consider his district partner, Mags
Mags is an old women incapable of defending herself, so why would she be a threat to the Capitol. we have to remember she wasn’t the person drawn for District 4s female. Annie Cresta was chosen, and the Capitol chose her likely because they knew Finnick was in love with her. Finnick was a career tribute, still young and abled bodied and very much capable of winning the Games. Annie was well known for being batshit crazy, however Finnick would not hesitate to put his life on the line for her, (think like Peeta and Katniss) and if she died, it would deeply depress him, making him either dead or incapable to fight the Games to his full extent, where the other tributes could finish him off.
I also do not think the logic applied to the tributes of District 1 and 2 just knowing their culture and ideology around the Games.
anyways I wrote this half asleep so if it doesn’t make sense that’s why

OKAY OKAY OKAY TSATS THEORY ABOUT THE ENDING HERE
(Spoilers for the preview)
So I know we all saw Twitter and how Rick and Mark said no one has even been CLOSE to predicting the ending of TSATS, but I’ve been thinking about it and I’m very sure neither Will or Nico will die in this book.
There was this one line from the preview that really stuck out to me. It was the line about a mortals life not being equal to an immortals. And this is the key to my theory.
SO IT GOES:
There has to be three people going on a quest. Right? We have Will and Nico (obvs) but who is the third? Someone immortal, whose life is equal to a titans? Someone we know and love?
I think the third person going on this quest is the one who is going to die, because let’s face it, not everyone is going to make it out of Tartarus alive.
Out of all of the immortal beings we know; the gods, the titans, nymphs and so on, we’ve never seen them going on a quest… except for…The Hunters of Artemis. I know i’m reaching for this just bear with me for a minute.
We don’t really know any hunters do we? Only their names, maybe, but no one we really know?
EXCEPT FOR THALIA GRACE
yes so I am most very likely wrong but some other evidence/possibilities for my theory;
- this could be a great scenario for Thalia and Nicos relationship to be reflected upon; as they have a rough relationship (they have so much in common now that I think about it!?)
- Rick has talked about writing a book about the hunters in the past and this could be an opportunity to do that after the books release.
- It would bring back the fan favourite and be a very tragic (Ancient Greek) ending with both of the grace siblings dying in the end.
- JASON AND THALIA GET TO GO TO ELYSIUM TOGETHER AND BE REUNITED!?????

**TBONA SPOILERS**
This may be far fetched but hear me out🫠
So we know that Chaos is actually Castor Valor who died and became an immortal Fate and Lord of assassins and spies, but what if he’s not the only Valor turned Fate? In the bonus material with the story of the Valors, it’s briefly mentioned that Lysander Valor has “a gift involving memories” so what are the chances that Apollo, who wiped Eva’s memories of Jacks and her time in the Magnificent North, is actually Lysander Valor and the Fate from the blank card in the Deck of Destiny (from Caraval)?
I really need Curse to come out already this wait is killing me😭

I’m just going to drop three KOLTC theories down here quick because I’ve had them on my mind forever and I’m hoping with the graphic novel coming out in a few days we’ll also get news on the next book.
Theory 1: The mysterious person mentioned on page 527 of Unlocked who Oralie can’t remember is going to be revealed to be Prentice. We know form Stellarlune that I seems likely that Prentice did end up working with Kenric, on what? Don’t know.
NOTE: I also can’t help but feel like whatever he was doing with Kenric is what got him arrested but that’s more of a blind suspicious dart than a definitive theory.
Theory 2: This is more of a statement than a genuine theory but I think Keefe has already sort of reached the height of his ability. At least when Sophie is enhancing him. On the bottom of page 50 of Stellarlune Lady Gisela says, “I don’t know. Do you think he’ll (Keefe) be able to influence someone’s emotions?” Keefe’s dad replies with, “No Empath can do that.” We’ve seen Sophie Enhance Empaths other than Keefe a few times before (Stina and Oralie mainly) but what Keefe describes (Being able to tap into someone’s emotional center and “guide” there feelings) is never brought up expect with him. You’d think during the whole “Learning to control her enhancing” thing with Oralie in Legacy Oralie would have brought it up, but she doesn’t really seem to notice (or have it.) Leading me to believe that this is a Keefe exclusive thing. Having nothing to do with the strength of the Empath, and more to do with Stellarlune. Which means that the only way Keefe can ever reach his full potential and complete his “legacy” is if Sophie (or some other enhancer but that’s no fun) is at his side. :)
Theory 3: I have had this theory wading around my mind since the night Unlocked came out and I scimmed through the files on all the Intelligent Species. It states in the one about goblins that no goblin has defected to join the Neverseen yet but doing so would, quote on quote, “If they did decide to break their treaty with the elves, it would be disastrous— particularly if any bodyguard turned against there charge.” Hmmmm… hmmm… HMMMMMMM. Now, obviously this is foreshadowing but the two main goblin body guards present in the series (Sandor and Griziel) are so loyal it can’t be them. But not every bodyguard is as loyal as them, particularly when there charge, shall I say, enjoys vanishing and running off? Yes, I am referencing Biana and Woltzer. Now, I can acknowledge that merely having a bad charge who constantly runs off isn’t enough to build that kind of resentment (I mean seriously, look at Sophie and Sandor. Girl has done that a lot.) but, at the bottom of page 498 of Stellarlune (which really just solidified this theory in my mind and left me screaming) when there loosing there collective minds over the dropping of the trolls treaty and they bring up the goblin treaty Woltzer says, “Is this peace? Or forced submission?” AND SANDOR IMMEDIATELY SHUTS HIM UP! *cue the “I am telling you! That mfer— that mfer” meme*. So yes, he is definitely the goblin traitor who will defect first and get a bunch to join him.
All around… seems like the next book is going to be interesting.

!Totcf/Lotcf spoilers!
If you were to think about it, the first one to die in Cale's group would be Ron (assuming that no one gets murdered, ofc). And the last people to die would be Raon, and Choi han.
Choi Han has the same lifespan as Raon, because of the deal with GoD. But we don't know if they'll die at the same time, or not. So they'll be the lasts ones alive.
Eruhaben will live till Raon's an adult, which in dragon years is pretty long. We can assume that the first dragon to die would be Mila and then Rasheel. Because Eruhaben basically has an extra life, due to the wind artifact thing.
We don't know if Being a Necromancer affects your lifespan, so Mary might have have the average human lifespan. And end up dying with the others 🤷‍♀️
Alberu/Alver is 1/4 dark elf. So we can assume that he has 1/4 of a Dark elves lifespan. Which hopefully is pretty long. But I'm certain the people will get suspicious, if he's still alive after a long time.
On and Hong will live a long life, due to them being apart of the Cat tribe. But On would be the one to die first, because she's older than Hong.
And then let's talk about Cale. If Cale hadn't Kebab himself, he'd most likely have a humans average lifespan (Probably not though). But due to the world tree root coming from an immortal, Cale now has traces of immortality.
As said by the ancient powers, Cale will have a long life. But how long exactly? We can assume that Cale might age slower, because you don't age at all when you're immortal. But that honestly depends on how or what immortality is portrayed in here.
Cale might also live for hundreds, or even thousands of years. Because having traces of immortality, still seems enough to live for a long time.
So Cale might also still be alive by the time Raon grows up. Or be long gone, by the time Raon grows up.
Anyway back to Raon and Choi Han. The only ones who'd still be with them, would be any of the beast tribes, The dark elves, Elves, and ect. That is, if we assume they don't destroy the world if Cale dies.
But watch the Author pull a Loz, botw (Legend of Zelda,Breath of the wild). In which Cale out lives all of them, even though they were supposed to outlive him.
Which is pretty depressing, and hopefully won't happen. But I guess we'll have to wait and see.

The Poppy War Series
“How could she compare the lives lost? One genocide against another—how did they balance on the scale of justice? And who was she, to imagine that she could make that comparison?” --R.F Kuang, The Poppy War
I have so much to say about The Poppy War series. No amount of words will describe the feeling it left me when I turned the last page and broke a little inside, but I will try, because that's all I can do the lessen the heartbreak of reading this series:
Rebecca Kuang. No words will describe my adoration for her writing abilities. To be able to incorporate such beauty into such a dark tale is impossibly hard, and no words will describe my absolute respect for her. I absolutely loved her truthful portrayal of war, instead of just romanticizing cruelty, and how utterly blunt she was about the horrors that ordinary people faced during times of chaos.
Rin, Nezha, Kitay, Venka, etc etc. They were just children. That's all I can say. They were children that were no longer innocent because adults shoved swords into their hands, and told them to die for a cause. They were so fucking young when the responsibility of millions of lives was forced upon them, and no person should ever have to make a decision that had such impact, especially not some young people. I loved each and every one of them, and I also loathed the decisions they made, but at the end of the day, they were just children born into a fragile world of cruelty and darkness.
Rin
"Dying was easy. Living was so much harder--that was the most important lesson Altan had ever taught her" --R.F. Kuang, The Burning God
From her choice in choosing to pledge Lore, till the end when she took her own life, I didn't like Rin. I didn't like her decisions, and I didn't respect how she treated her friends, but I did grow so SO attached to her as a character. I hated her for leaving Nezha with a shattered nation, but I also realized how much courage it took for her to take that route. Since she was born, survival mattered the most, always, and the fact that she chose to kill herself, with the interest of her country in mind, deserves so much respect. Yes, you could argue that she realized how hard surviving was, and chose the easy way out, but she was nurtured in a way that forced her to choose survival, to choose life, even if she wasn't truly living. Along with that, she also had Kitay's life bound to hers, so I don't think she made her final decision out of selfishness, but rather a willingness to sacrifice her life so that millions more would keep their own. As long as she was alive, the Hesperians wouldn't leave them alone, so she made her final decision for her country.
Nezha
“He knew exactly what choice she'd made and what she intended. And that made everything- hating her, loving her, surviving her, so much harder.” --R.F. Kuang, The Burning God
I truly believe that Nezha only acted the way he did because he was fucking terrified of everything happening around him. Yes, he was bred for this, but nothing ever prepared him for the shit that was going to come his way. And when Rin was going to kill herself, his composed mask just faded and he revealed the fear he had in him all along. He was another victim of the fragility of society, and I truly hope that no matter what happened after the third book, he found his peace and order.
Tumblr media
Venka
After her reappearance (iykyk), I was so terrified that she would die, or go through something just as traumatic again. AND SHE DID. I was trembling when Rin accused her of being a traitor, and the way she threw herself on top of Rin to save her just broke my heart. I refuse to believe that she sold them out and wrote the letters, because how could anyone be a traitor, and still be willing to sacrifice her life for the person accusing them of such things?? Since the truth will never be uncovered, I will live with the hope that she was innocent all along, because she's been through so much, and her legacy should live on clean and untarnished.

ALITF Theory
I think that Ector has something to do with Hamid trying to kill Sera because he shatters Hamids soul before could speak to him. Also in FBAA Aios, Sion, Nektas, Bele, Rhain, Rhahar, Theon and Laila are all mentioned as asleep or were asleep with Nyktos and Sera but there is no mention of Ector in any of the FBAA books. Im guessing he either dies or pulls an Alastir.

[dark rise spoilers]
Ok I’m sure SOMEONE has mentioned this before but it’s very late and night and I need to share this with the masses yet so here goes
There’s no way Elizabeth is actually the blood of the lady right?
We know that Will and his “mother” (I don’t like her so she gets the quotes around mom) had been running from Simon all their lives, and we also know that Elizabeth is ten, meaning there’s no way Will’s “mom” had a whole child without Will knowing, right? Like, we know somewhere during the last few chapters Will puts the pieces together, so maybe he does remember and it just wasn’t mentioned in the book but that whole thing does not sit right with me. In conclusion Those kids are fucked lmao.

Jacks is described as a villain based on the synopsis which I find really odd since he was barely one in the caraval series. How villainous do you think he will be? Do you think Jack would somehow get desensitized from trying to save Eva multiple times?
ok honestly i totally agree, people act like he was so evil and horrendous in caraval when he really was not that bad. i mean i personally disliked legend more and found some of the stuff he did to be low-key worse.
also, to answer the question about if i think he'll be a major villain or not; i think he's being described as the villain because that's how everyone (except eva really) perceives him in the story. if you really think about it, barely anyone actually likes jacks. also, he's a villain to himself and he's literally said that ("i'm a villain even in my own story" or something like that) so i think that's part of the reason but no i don't think he's gonna just become way more evil again like bro had character development but i think it will be more of us getting to see how he actually is when he's pissed off because really we don't see much of him like incredibly filled with rage to where he's out here murdering people that much LMAO
sorry if my rambling was confusing but you brought this upon yourself.

My New KoF Headcanon
I am currently studying Biology for my college, and it is my Major. Some of the class lectures I remember listening to were the concepts of Evolution, an 'Early Earth', and Selective Breeding. So out of the things I have learned in those courses, I proposed a new headcanon for the fictional world of Geronimo Stilton and Elizabetta Dami's 'Kingdom of Fantasy' book series.
Remember, this theory is completely fan-made, so do not take this too seriously, and do not regard it as any original work from the author of the 'Kingdom of Fantasy' book series.
~~ BEWARE OF SUGGESTIVE CONTENT AHEAD! DO NOT CONTINUE READING IF YOU ARE SENSITIVE TO THEMES SUCH AS GENOCIDE OR SOCIAL INJUSTICE! ~~
My idea suggests that before there was a diverse range of creatures living in such a world, there were two primeval species: Fairies (a more 'ancient' variety, not like the ones in the books) and Demons. The early Fairies were a species that came to the land by falling from the sky (like shooting stars), while the Demons were originally living in the Kingdom of Fantasy. At that time, there were still many 'pure-bred' Demon species and variants, dwelling in environments from mountains to forests, and even the oceans and ice caps. In addition to that, there were likely regular humans living in the early KoF already, but they did not play significant roles yet.
The early Fairies still had blue skin and two pairs of white wings (similar to those of the Crystal Castle today), but the wings of the ancient species were probably larger and scalier (especially on the outer layers to keep their wings safe from the elements). Supposedly made of cosmic material, it was believed that the Fairies could absorb and use energy from any celestial body, like the Sun, stars, or the Moon. Pure-bred Demons usually had animal-like legs, pointed ears, dark eyes for night-vision, claws, fangs, horns and/or tails, and occasionally a pair of large wings (depending on the environment). They were able to manipulate any kind of magic and transform into any kind of animal they chose. However, the one thing they had in common was the trait of having Souls highly saturated with magic.
Years have passed since the Fairies and Demons have tried to coexist with one another, then either species assumed that one was too powerful and too dangerous, so it was then decided that both could not handle putting aside their differences anymore. Over the eras, battles have clashed between the species, and there were laws that set them apart even more. This was until a ruling Fairy decided to capture pure-bred Demons and forcefully breed them with other species to decrease their magical capabilities. This condition has remained for several generations, while many pure-breds and Fairies who opposed that heinous tactic were executed. The energy in their Souls were then used to enhance weapons.
As a result of such injustice, newer and lesser species have been formed, such as Shapeshifters, Elves, Mer-folk, Wizards/Witches, and other beings, including new Fairy varieties (probably descending from the ones that opposed the genocide of the Demons). However, some Fairies still decided to keep their 'purity' by disregarding certain species, such as the 'evil' Wizards/Witches and Dark Fairies, believing that they were and are the closest things to Demons.
I am still trying my best to develop this fan-made theory, but I still hope you enjoyed reading it. On the other hand, I cannot put this idea into one large fanfiction because it is complicated and time/energy consuming, and I am already busy enough as it is. However, I can sneak in some references of this in my Kingdom of Fantasy fanfics in future chapters. Feel free to post any comments and suggestions. Thank you for reading this, and stay fantastic!
