“At all?” Darcy pressed.
“I cannot show my face to any living thing.”
She frowned. “So you could show your face to a robot.” She guessed.
“This has come up and… I guess so.”
Darcy nodded thoughtfully. “How do you eat?”
If he wasn’t wearing a helmet just then, Darcy would have seen his arched eyebrow. As it was, she’d have to focus on the sarcasm on his voice. “With my mouth.”
“So you do have a mouth!” Darcy celebrated.
“What were you thinking before this?” He was concerned, but needed to know.
“Before I was just hoping you had a mouth.” She admitted.

5 things I like to write about
All my love to @cookiemonsterv3 for the tag!!
1. Redemption - I really like looking at villains or just antagonistic characters and asking “Why did you do it?” and “If things were different, would you have made different choices?”. Obviously I don’t think bad decisions should be excused, but far too often I see villains/ antagonists either A) sacrifice themselves to absolve them of the consequences of their actions or B) apologize for their actions but never do anything further. I love writing villains/ antagonists who make the choice to apologize, take accountability for their actions and own them, and try to reconcile and do better for their communities. I like when characters choose to do the hard work of acknowledging their faults and becoming better people, proving it’s possible to come back (can you tell I really want Pride and Prejudice from Mr. Darcy’s POV?)
2. Religion/ Culture - I love exploring religion or religion-equivalents, how they function, and how characters interact with their religion, or religious around them that they’re not members of. In a similar vein, I love writing about culture and when a fictional culture isn’t completely fleshed out or has room for additions, I love adding little bits of my own culture to it (eg. detailing mandalorian formal tunics with Celtic embroidery). I also love writing cultural clashes, like what happens when two opposing cultures are forced to share space with each other. I just like it when characters learn that the other culture is full of different (but still important) things, and both sides learn to appreciate the other
3. Banter - who doesn’t love a good bit of banter? Honestly I don’t think writing banter is my strongest suit, but I love it anyways, especially sibling banter. As one of four kids with an additional gaggle of 30+ cousins, I really write how I think me and my siblings/ cousins would interact (or have interacted in the past) when I write banter. It always makes me giggle, and I love giving my characters siblings/ friends who are as close as siblings for this reason. I also love the tension and excitement that comes with writing romantic banter, especially if the characters aren’t together yet. Delicious stuff
4. Forged Family - you’ve seen found family, this is the same dish but with a hint of forced proximity and trauma. I like writing about found family where the family bonds form because the characters have suffered so much together and still choose to protect and love each other like family. The sentiment is very “I’m stuck with you, but I’d also choose to love you in every lifetime”
5. Rivals to Lovers - in same vein as banter, but different. I like a good conflict, I like the tension, I like the slow build/ melting of ice that comes with rivals to lovers. Specifically I like it best when the conflict comes from external/ cultural reasons and not miscommunication. I just think it’s juicer when the rivals actually have to learn to get along because they’re different in ways that cause friction, rather than they’re not having an important conversation that could solve everything. Almost all of my favourite ships are rivals to lovers, and I like to put the ones that aren’t into situations where they are (oops)

I have so many WIPs right now....here's the ones I've been working on the most lately. Which one would you be most excited to see posted?* Expanded descriptions of fics posted below the poll!
*I make no promises about which fic will be posted first, or indeed, at all.
Mr Darcy wakes up the morning after his wedding and is astonished to discover that it is now, inexplicably, the day before he promised to join Bingley at his new estate, Netherfield. He soon decides that, as long as he is forced to relive this part of his life, he may as well woo Elizabeth Bennet without all the bumps in the road they had to overcome. But despite his best efforts, he only seems to offend Miss Elizabeth Bennet.
Mrs Bennet has hyperemesis gravidarum and so Mr Bennet is forced by circumstances to take a more active role in his older daughters' lives. Raised as an only child who loathed going away to school and took solace in his books, his idea of appropriate child rearing is a largely based on how he would have liked to be raised balanced against how much he can tolerate piping, toddler voices invading his study.
Due to a few, small shifts, Elizabeth decides to take a chance on behalf of her family and accepts Mr Darcy's first proposal. The road to love isn't any less bumpy, but the bumps are mostly different.
asioaf: it might be easier to list what hasn't been changed. The Changes Themselves are kick-started by a series of visions that come upon everyone living in the year that Aerys burns Rickard and Brandon Stark. Multi-PoV. The main PoV is meant to follow Lyarra Snow, bastard of Lord Eddard Stark. My main complaints which I am fixing include: lazy worldbuilding (winters, crops); G.R.R. Martin's obnoxious Hobbesian philosphy; G.R.R. Martin's obnoxious sexism (fewer Moms are dead in my version!); and more! Elia lives. This is already long as fuuuuuuuck and would probably take the longest for me to start posting.
In a world with retrocausality, a small change in the Original Trilogies timeline reverberates up and down history, resulting in a Mandalorian Jedi Ben Mereel meeting seven year old Anakin Skywalker on Tattooine.
When Anakin Skywalker follows his visions to Tattooine to prevent his mother's death, he gets caught in a sandstorm which spits him out twenty years earlier. Due to the Force being Insistent, he remains on Tattooine and starts several revolutions.
A sort of self insert goes to sleep by a Big Rock while out backpacking and wakes up by a recognizable Portal Stone in the middle of the Caralain Grass. Shenanigans ensue.
Why does Perrin have the trauma and reflexes of an American Vietnam War veteran? What would happen if some of the characters talked to each other a little more frequently with slightly fewer assumptions? Did you hate how branders*n flattened every structural problem into a shallow issue to be fixed with a better leader? Me too! This will likely take at least a year before I start posting.

I thought Maria's leg was broken. Cause she's standing just fine with a broken leg, so what's up with that?
Anyway, Freak vs. Hulkbuster, which was a nice fight. Happy would've won though, but the Avengers finally showed up and thought he was the enemy.
Then there's the WERNER AI cause Darcy couldn't find JARVIS, and this AI sucks. At first, I thought it was the actor form Mandalorian season one (the guy from the Empire that wanted Grogu) cause it sounded like him, but I don't know. Why is this AI not following Maria's orders though? Probably should've picked FRIDAY instead.
Also, Avengers slo-mo team entrance! Kinda like the one from Age of Ultron.

Hi there! I stumbled upon your series "Darcy's Adventures in Star Wars" on AO3 and I just want to tell you that I absolutely love the series! I had no idea that I needed Din/Darcy in my life until I read the first story and then I couldn't stop reading each installment well late into the night because I just can't get enough of these two lovable people getting all romantic with each other and the smut scenes are also banging hot and really love that these two just can't keep their hands to themselves for more than 2 minutes and really love Darcy's interactions with Grogu and the rest of the cast. I wanted to ask if you're planning on continuing the series well into "The Book of Boba Fett" and into season 3 of "The Mandalorian" since I just finished watching the season 3 finale and I was curious what you thought of the third season if you've been watching it. I'm also curious about how Darcy would react to meeting the covert that Din grew up in as well as her interactions with other mandalorians like Paz Vizsla. I'm not rushing or pressuring you to continue writing, just thought to ask. You're an amazing writer with incredible talent and I hope to read more from you soon. Keep up the good work, you're awesome!
Allow me to just say the absolute shock I felt reading this earlier. My goodness, I am so truly touched you enjoyed my series so much that you reached out. 😭😭😭 I spent so much time writing it and was so obsessed, I love when people happen across it because it’s such an odd but very perfect pairing. Okay, I have answers but I’m putting them under a cut:
So, I had the series plotted out up until The Honeymoon fic because TBOBF hadn’t come out and I had no clue what was going to happen with S3 and I didn’t want to get too off track to canon.
I have plotted how I’d tackle TBOBF and it’d be Boba calling them for help, them showing up, and let’s be real, Darcy getting sidelined IMMEDIATELY by Din and Boba because she’s pregnant and they’re both insanely protective of her. Plus, unexpected Grogu arrival to Peli’s hangar like in the show. (spoiler: he basically stole Luke’s X-Wing with R-2)
Now, S3. I’m going to be honest, I hated it. 😭😭😭 There’s so much I’d have to fix. 😭😭😭 I’d definitely wanna keep the reclaiming Mandalore storyline, but cut Din wanting to wear his helmet again. And now that I’m thinking about it, I already establish that the Armorer is being loose on the rules in an effort to reunite their people, sooooooo, with some effort I’ll be able to kinda do season three with a lot of changes. Lmfao and it’d end similarly to the show with the fam at their house, Grogu playing with his pet frog, and Han and Chewbacca arriving with a new member of their family who was finally found. 🥰🥰🥰
I also need Darcy interacting with #1 Din Djarin Hater Paz Vizsla and her husband literally having to hold her back from trying to fight the big blue dude. Lmfaoooo (I know they eventually become besties and hey, we know he’d survive in my series)
I don’t know when I’ll get back to the series. In all honesty, I kinda lost steam when I ran out of outline, and my attention moved to other things. I hope one day I’ll finish it, but I don’t want to make any promises.
This ask really made me do a deep dive into my notes and it had me smiling.
