phone addiction is a very serious thing. i understand it though. you have a marvellous world at your hands. it glows in all its wonder! it’s not your fault that it’s hard to detach from, but please, take a small chunk of each day to step away. it’s okay to be by yourself in your space for a while. you don’t need to occupy the online world all the time. it will be there for you when you return.

Deinfluencing DID? Cool
TW: injuries, dissociative seizures, fainting, general health problems, medication, abuse, forced switches, religion, burdning things down, mentions of rape
Our room is a mess, dirty laundry everywhere, clothes are not hanged up and thrown on our bed, we haven’t cleaned our table, and barely ever vacuum or clean anything else. Why? Nobody wants to do it, plus we have ADHD that's interfering eith daily tasks as usual.
Our host forgot to tell our partner system they sprained our wrist. They sprained it January 30th. Told them, by accident, on July 11th.
Speaking of sprained limbs. Our co-host & persecutor-caretaker sprained our foot because they were stupid and weren't looking at where they're going. Resulted in missing a step on the stairs. They got a yelling lecture from our host (very loving lecture), and what did they do? Called the thing we had to wear on our leg "foot prison." Nothing else.
We got sick... I wanna say 2 days ago (memory issues). How did we do that? I don't know. What are we gonna do about it? Idfk, why are you asking me, we have like one medicine we take, but other than that-
Whenever people tell us that we're a minor and shouldn't be researching/reading stuff involving sexual topics, our sexual alters' immediate response to it is "if they wanted us to act like a child, they shouldn't have let us get raped when we were 4."
We suspect we have dissociative seizures. When things around us are overwhelming, we can very well just faint. Still conscious but unable to move or speak. Everything we hear during it will be forgotten. And those of us who are not host and co-host can faint because simply being in the body for too long is overwhelming.
We forget to take our meds that prevent us from fainting fully. Teenage thing, but our blood pressure drops unexpectedly, and we might pass out. Does the threat of literally dropping in the middle of the day, for which we had previously gotten admitted to the hospital, work? No. It's not happening rn, so-
Outer world is being run by 5-6 people (alters) who are not equipped for the outer world shit. Dealing with parents? No. School? So-so. Basic biological needs? Who needs those, am I right? /j
A while ago, we found a spider near our room, and we are all, collectively, terrified of spiders. Who did we push to front to deal with it? Our co-host, who hates/is scared of them more than all of us combined.
We have a factive of our mother in the system who fused with a Ballora fragment. Like, yk, the person who potentially abused us most in our lives is their source. She's currently in inner world therapy and is actively getting better. And we are learning to separate her from her source.
When we first figured out we were a system, our host was so stuck and so determined to find out more about our alters, we had to force switches to happen, and for a while thought we were actually faking. I'm aware that that's exactly what DID/OSDD is supposed to make you feel like, but others literally could not front sometimes without being physically forced out. Moreover, we didn't even know how switches were supposed to feel. Everything felt fake. How did we accept it? Pushed through (quite literally) and focused more on the exciting parts of it, rather than sad.
Speaking of first figuring our about our DID, we filmed many videos of our switches when we felt them coming, and alters introducing themselves via filming. We are now looking at them and both cringing and feeling nostalgic.
We still sometimes want to be a smaller system because it feels like it would have been simpler, and we would love to have all members of the system get along. But we also know our brain created us the way it did for our survival, and our nostalgia about "simpler days when we only knew 4 people" is a romantization. This is the first time we have actually had a semi-stable environment in 2 years.
The only one who celebrates the body's birthday is our host. Everybody else has their own birthdays either from source or made-up. We still celebrate them. Today (September 14th) is, in fact, one of our alters' birthday.
Our host and co-host have a child-parent relationship (respectively). A while ago, they were in co-con, listening to a song. Our co-host was holding our host to their arms in front piggyback style, was hugging them and rocking them back and forth. Why? For comfort. Because they're family.
Are we all collectively doing schoolwork? Nope, lmao. Doesn't work for us like that, we simply don't have memories of most things we studied since like 4th grade, can't get them either. Our host used to do all the schoolwork, but they got so much trauma from school and homework that now our co-host is in charge of it. And only them unless it's Japanese. And even then, it's a big maybe. Nobody wants to, so we created a schedule that works for us and our switches when it comes to studying.
Did I just have to look up where I was going on the metro because I realized I have no memories of it other than autopilot, and I am doubting whether I wanna leave on the right station? Yes. Yes, I did. Am I gonna be fronting when I reach the destination? Nope.
A while ago we burned down an inner world kingdom. Why? Idk, we just didn't like it. Who cares anyway?
One of our prosecutors bought premium on one of the apps we use, and they didn't get in trouble for it only because our host liked it. We're still using it to this day.
We have a system quote book.
Everybody in this system is pagan. I might be the only one not, and even that's a big maybe.
We really wanna watch Elemental but can never get around to it. Also, Nimona, although we have a good reason to postpone watching it.
We haven’t brushed our teeth in 2 weeks. Did yesterday like once. When's gonna be the next time? Who knows? :D Hygiene issues are real.
On Halloween, we're probably gonna watch FNaF Ruin the entire evening-night with our sibling.
Our ex-host is so unhinged that we have to watch them whenever they front like a hawk.
We are not a perfect system. Any blog you see, no matter how real it seems, doesn't reflect day-to-day experiences systems have. Most posts, generally, are made with strong emotions in mind, or for aesthetic purposes, or for venting purposes. I repeat what has been said before a million times: don't trust everything you see on the internet. People are real, but they are not going to let you know anything personal about them.
Honestly? Not sure why I wanted to make this post. Not gonna give you a reason either because I don't know it.
I am currently going to get cocoa and push our co-host to study. Have a good day, y'all. ✌️

The Void
I saw someone refilling their coffee bean shaped ice tray with coffee poured out of a can.
This video had two million likes and almost eighteen million views
And this is all this woman does
Fill up, restock, use up, throw out
Buy buy buy buy buy
And it’s not flashy either
She creates in a white void that has one corner and nothing else
No decoration just void
She makes the excess appear minimal
I don’t care about this woman at all
She’s not the problem, she’s a symptom
She makes a smoothie in the morning then puts it into eight different identical glass bottles
She puts her laundry detergent into another sleeker, more aesthetic container
She just moves things from one bottle to another
Over and over and over constantly restocking
Buying bouquets of flowers endlessly
She carefully peels off petals and snips leaves so they fit perfectly in a container
That she fills with a strange powder to keep the illusion that the flowers are thriving in this void
She could just grow a garden instead
But she keeps the illusion that she is thriving in this void as well
And everyone says “THIS IS WHY I LOVE YOU !!” “THIS IS WHY I DO THE SAME !!”
Sometimes she creates for herself
She makes tea
But even that is soon consumed by the void
She must use some novel container to mix the tea so she can pour it into another cup and another cup and another cup and another cup and another cup on and on and on until her kitchen is full of unused yet dirty cups
All for 12 oz of tea
She is stuck just like the rest of us
People see her and they want the life the void offers
They ask “WHERE CAN I GET THIS?” “HOW CAN I EXPERIENCE THIS?”
And the void only says
“in my storefront”
“on amazon”
“make a purchase”
To have peace you must buy it
It’s frustrating.
She makes coffee
She is sponsored
I saw a comment that said  “BEST AD EVER !!”
The ice returned to the void as I kept exploring her page
Here she was restocking the freezer drawer that held the ice
(not the ice trays themselves, rookie mistake to think that. You’d have to be stupid to not understand the difference. You’d have to have no brain at all, you’d have to be born in the middle of the fucking woods with wolves as a mother to not fucking understand what any of this means at all. You’d have to be the most brain-dead person to not get this. Everyone else understands. Why don’t you.)
All this meaning that she was taking the ice out of the trays to put it in another container to put in her freezer and all I ask is why do you need this much ice?
There were six separate trays of flavored ice
Why do you need any of this?
Each of them was made with some other ingredient besides water
Don’t you feel trapped living like this?
She bought special drinks just to make ice out of them
Is this really what you want?
Is this what any of us want? Six trays of ice we have to restock every week?
Do we really want to live inside a void with one corner?
Or are we stuck just like her?

Romwe x Corpse Bride: A Critical & possibly hypocritical review.
This review will be fast fashion negative, while giving credit to artistic aesthetics. I own some of the items mentioned (some of which, I regret).
A summary of my opinion: most of it is crap.
This is kind of becoming a series, with my previous Hello Kitty and Friends x Forever 21 review
Disclaimer: I do not like Tim Burton. I like a lot of his media (The Corpse Bride, Wednesday, Frankenwinie, etc.) but I do not agree with his attitudes (most notably towards POC inclusion).
If any Shien apologists come my way I will simply block them. This post is not about "is it ok to order from Shien ever?" Or about the accessibility of fashion or anything like that. Maybe I'm a future post, but for now, go read someone else's opinion piece about it
Why did I order this stuff?
The answer is very simple: Nostalgia and scarcity mindset. I've loved the Corpse Bride ever since I was younger. I owned the DVD and watched it more times than I can count. Additionally, I doubt that there will ever be any other affordable clothing collaborations with the Corpse Bride, at least, not for another while. But please send me other Corpse Bride official and unofficial collaborations if you see any. I'll put a little 🌠 next to anything I bought. Note: I may not include everything I bought from the Collab just because I may not have the strongest opinions on that particular garment or my other arguments may better explain.
What did I like?
The general aesthetics. Motifs of the flowers, butterflies, swirls, skeletons, colour pallets. I liked it all! Was it well executed? No. A lot of the patterns weren't done justice (as seen in the review photos)
The stock images were STUNNING. Which is the point, but still credit where it's due.
It appealed to my nostalgia. I think it was lazy, but it certainly did warm my inner baby bat heart.
Onto specifics. This capette
Tumblr media
This capette is fun! I love a good capette! There's obvious flaws like how randomly the little pictures are chosen and I feel the white and black is just a little too high contrast, maybe black and light blue would have worked better?
5. This Graphic T. 🌠
Tumblr media
I love this design so much I bought one in the black colour way too. Do I stand by that decision? Not entirely. But as a long-term Corpse Bride fan I feel that I will appreciate them for a very very long term.
6. The Legwarmers 🌠
Tumblr media
They did these legwarmers so dirty! As seen in the stock images, the ends are rolling up! I need to reinforce them with my own hidden ribbing and also gently steam them. You may also note that those butterflies are PRINTED ON and it's pretty bad IRL.
7. jeans (?)
Tumblr media
But if you see a pair of boring jeans in a charity shop that fit well, why not bring them home and customise them with paint, bleach, trims, embroidery or patches? Remind me to write a post on DIY jean ideas. Anyway, could be fun to browse Shien and Pinterest and steal their ideas! Maybe invite some friends and have some snacks and make it 'a little get together'?
I'm stealing the print of these jeans. A reoccurring hot take of mine is that I hate that EVERYWHERE sells jeans. Go into any high street retailer and they have a WHOLE SELECTION of jeans. From skinny to bootcut to mom to boyfriend to ripped and in black, acid wash, proper denim, super light blue and sometimes white. it's all far too much (in my opinion).
The reason why I feature the "?" in the title is because I don't really see jeans as very Corpse Bride, seems more fairy grunge (I've discussed fairy grunge lightly in the past but I do hope to make a longer opinion post about it)
General dislikes
106 listings. Why SO many graphic t-shirts? I need to count the specifics because there's just too many. And I counted roughly 24 hoodies/sweatshirts (given, there could be duplicates of the plus size and straight sizes) but my point remains. Why is there 106 listings?
Excessive reuse of certain designs and many of the designs are really similar.
No collection of that many pieces could ever be of decent quality or with a lot of thought and the proof is in the pudding (the garments). It simply isn't. Typical Shien. Bare basics stitching, low quality materials, etc.
Polyester for undergarments. Cotton, bamboo and hemp are just far superior fabrics for underwear and socks! I can't imagine polyester is good for the health of external private areas.
Tumblr media
Objectively these are cute, but I have recently truly understood how dangerous synthetic materials can be especially for private areas.
I will be referencing this print in my future customised clothing.
Future post idea: Cotton vs. Polyester
At some point in the future, I do intend on posting more information about cotton/natural fibers vs. polyester. Including resources that further discuss the oppression of the Uyghur Muslims, modern cotton slavery, the mistreatment of garment workers. Then also, the production and manufacturing process on various fibers and their quality. Additionally, a bit about micro plastics and our clothes.
Most of it will just be directly referencing and providing information from creators who are more knowledgeable on the topic with minimal opinions and input from me, though there will be a sequel post that includes my opinions and a reflection on how I navigate the topic.
If anyone has any links and resources on that topic let me know!
Thanks for reading!

i don't know if teenagers even follow me but if i can give you one piece of advice right here in this moment it is this: do not buy the ardene boots. don't. you will think the black shit kicking boots will make you look so cool and emo and then the entire heel part will fall off right before your grade 9 final math exam and you'll be thinking about that during the exam and forget a whole page of questions and then your math teacher will have to call you back to finish the page so you don't lose a ton of marks. like happened to me. don't buy the ardene boots.

Journal Entry #053122
There's this idea about how social media ruined our preception of attractive people. We weren't supposed to see this much attractive people if it weren't for the digital age. That explains why a lot of people are insecure and a lot of them find it harder to love. They think the dating pool is only for attractive people and they have no place in it when actually, there are people who are supposed to be on the other spectrum of attractiveness. When we look at things, there is always this spectrum where people are supposed to fall into. There is a need for things to be balanced because how are we supposed to identify attractiveness with the absence of unattractiveness? The problem with society is that the 'un' parts of the spectrum are deemed as inherently bad when infact, they're mere parts of the attractiveness spectrum. If everyone was attractive, we would probably tick it off our standards. Because if attractiveness is already guaranteed, we'll look into another aspect that would differentiate that person from the rest. For example, maybe if everyone is attractive, we'll instead look for personality. Obviously, a lot of people would prefer great extroverted people than those who are introverted. Then using the same logic, If everyone had great personality and is attractive, what attributes would we look for? Financial stability? Family? Wealth?
The gist is that, there is no reason to judge someone based on where they lie on the spectrum. The spectrum is just an illusion that we use to describe people, we shouldn't treat it as a standard on dictating what's better and what's best for the society. There is a reason why we have different preferences and that is completely normal. It's the fault of the society that have conditioned us to think that the spectrum is something that we can climb, something we can alter. However, we are so genetically predicted and decided from birth to create the perfect role we should take part in the society. That could mean we are all perfect regardless. It's the condition and the environment that condemns us for being unfit or being the lesser part of the spectrum when in fact, the spectrum is linear. It's side by side and we have to stop denoting the opposite parts with negativity.

Week 6: From Fast to Slow Fashion, Influencers Lead the Way and the trend of "Deinfluencing"
The fast fashion model has revolutionized the fashion industry by prioritizing cost reduction and production speed. However, it has also resulted in increased environmental impact and waste generation (Domingos et al., 2022, p.2). According to the UN Environment Programme, fast fashion is the second-largest consumer of water and contributes to 10% of global carbon emissions, yet consumer concerns are often overlooked (Nijman, 2019).
The "Slow Fashion" movement aims to combat over-consumption and waste (Domingos et al., 2022, p. 3) by encouraging consumers to buy products that contribute to environmental protection  (Chi et al., 2021, p. 110). However, research suggests that interest in sustainable fashion does not always lead to behavioral changes (Brewer, 2019, p. 7). Consumers who believe their slow fashion choices contribute to environmental protection are more likely to support and purchase these products (Chi et al., 2021, p. 110). Greater environmental knowledge may also lead to more favorable attitudes towards slow fashion consumption, encouraging positive environmental impacts and addressing the hidden costs of cheap fashion  (Brewer, 2019, p. 7).
Social media significantly influences consumer behavior towards sustainable and ethical fashion choices (Jacobson & Harrison, 2021, p. 153). Influencers on social media, particularly those who are relatable, have a significant impact on purchasing decisions. Awareness of sustainability and influencer persuasion can positively influence purchasing choices (Jacobson & Harrison, 2021, p. 153). Sustainable lifestyle influencers engage with the public by making their choices relatable, fostering communities, and responding to sustainability-related questions (Jacobson & Harrison, 2021, p. 153). TikToker Lily (@imperfectidealist) promotes sustainable fashion by sharing content about repairing old clothes, showcasing eco-brands, and responding to sustainability-related questions by short videos. Another example is Big Sister Swap, has been gaining attention through YouTubers and TikTokers sharing haul swaps. These engagement with the audience demonstrates how digital citizenship can raise awareness and foster responsible online marketplaces.

However, overconsumption continues to surge, as evident from the popularity of hashtags like #sheinhaul on TikTok, boasting over 800K posts. However, a new trend called "deinfluencing" has emerged, particularly within the fashion industry (Mayer, 2023). Deinfluencers actively confront the negative environmental and human rights effects of fast fashion (Johnson, 2023). This movement strikes a chord with social media users who crave authenticity and transparency from their online role models (Johnson, 2023). For instance, TikToker Christina (@christina.mychas) underwent a transformation from shopaholic to minimalist, sharing content that emphasizes avoiding waste and the disposability of fashion trends once they fade away.
Tumblr media
Figure 3. TikToker Christina (@christina.mychas) shares fashion items she does not buy to avoid waste as a deinfluencer.
In conclusion, the fashion industry is undergoing a significant transformation from fast fashion to slow, sustainable practices. Influencers on social media play a vital role in shaping consumer behavior towards sustainable fashion choices. While challenges like overconsumption persist, the emerging trend of "deinfluencing" offers hope by encouraging authenticity and promoting conscious consumption. A collective effort is needed to drive systemic change and create a fashion industry that prioritizes environmental protection and social responsibility.

i’m all for the deinfluencing trend and stopping overconsumption but my god people need to stop going about it by being an asshole.
like yes it’s not good to buy a bunch of things you aren’t actually gonna enjoy/get use out of it but just because you wouldn’t enjoy or actually use something doesn’t mean no one else would enjoy or get use out of it.
i especially hate when it’s someone duetting or stitching a creator because there’s no possible way for you to know that someone else isn’t actually using the product.
i’m not saying that there aren’t times where people are just genuinely buying a bunch of shit they probably aren’t gonna use or aren’t necessary at all but like let people live?
and also i feel like deinfluencing looks different for everyone. it shouldn’t be about saying don’t buy certain products but rather just going ‘hey maybe stop and think if you’ll actually get use out of this before you buy it’.
