+. PRECIS —» al-haitham never imagined he can be tamed by a fragile creature like you.
+. NOTES —» there is a little bit of kaveh x reader & also al-haitham x kaveh cuz i refuse to seperate them. I'm in love their ‘chaos in the calm’ dynamic. totally not losing mind over him && you can read my works via NAVIGATION LINKS.
Tumblr media
Fragile; that was the word that flashed through his mind when al-haitham first laid his eyes on you as you walked into his life like a dashing wave on a lonely shore wrecking havoc in his mind, body, and soul.
Al-haitham hated it; the unknown feeling amongst his ribcage that made him hear his heartbeats loud and clear, even in the hubbub of a crowd. He is a man of few words unless Kaveh isn't around. Somehow Kaveh manages to create ripples of annoyance in his peaceful mind and it weathers his patience, day by day.
On the other hand, Kaveh tries his best to avoid getting so worked up upon Al-haitham's stimulation yet he can not seem to turn a blind eye to the fact that al-haitham is undeniably quiet in her presence, in your presence. Kaveh was delighted to find out that at least once, he could have the upper hand if al-haitham were to really disrespect him, or hurt his feelings. It did not turn out as he thought it would be.
When Kaveh noticed that Al-haitham's emerald eyes were not on the book's rusty pages but peeking through the book's frame, lips twisting and occasionally turning whenever you are about to leave his sight he knew he could not use this as his wild card but watching him like this is more agonizing than getting yelled at by him.
“Quit staring. it’s creepy.”, Kaveh uttered slamming the book on the table to gain his roommate’s attention. Al-haitham’s eyes shifted from her to his senior, as he whispered, “I wasn’t”, like a lovesick fool. At that moment, Kaveh knew he was hopeless. Not only he flat-out denied his fondness for her but also refused to act. “Guess it’s the other way ‘round”, he hisses before beckoning her in his direction shouting her name from the bottom of his lungs in the library. What an incredible idea to get her attention!
Al-haitham thinks his life hasn’t been livelier before. Watching you talk with his not-so-cool senior, and hearing your giggles, complaints, and tantrums was more than he could ask for. It did not bother him how you were always like a blooming flower around Kaveh. As for Kaveh, he would not go that far as having you as Al-haitham wants. He is satisfied just getting al-haitham worked up once in a while but after a few attempts, Al-haitham got used to it.
What he was not used to is you, your innocence around him, the unalloyed conscience. It drove him insane so much so that he started to observe you more, thinking about the minute details about you like would there be any mole like the one near her chin? Does she always wear light-colored clothes? Is her nipples same the color as her lips? how would she look underneath him, naked and . . .
It has been days since he started to think of you, in a very particular way, thought of getting close to you, and discarded the habit of staring at you through the frame of the book. He was tempted to touch himself, to relieve himself from this ache but he wanted to be over once and for all, not in installments, not in the dead of night jacking off in the bathroom.
And now, here you were underneath him, just like he imagined.
Beads of perspiration sedimented at the lining of his forehead, fingertips being rigid, heart beating like drums, and all because his cock would not fit in your pussy. He has eaten you out for hours, tasted you to the very core, fondled your boobs till you were moaning loudly, shamelessly, sucked and bit your pebbled nipples until they were bruised and yet it was not enough.
every time you were screaming, telling him to stop fingering you he would not. “You’re about to cum angel.”, he mentioned, eyes focused on ready to pull out the moment your legs give up to hold them apart again that are craving to shut close as to submerge in the euphoric high; so that he would have you creaming on his cock rather than his fingers.
Tears like raindrops accumulate at the corner of your eyes as he tries to push his fat cock inside you and then retreats thinking he might hurt you as you lay blanking out, reflexively playing with your boobs, biting your bottom lip, whimpering, “so..sorry.”, as he brushes the tip of his cock up and down, over your pussy lips.
He shushes, leaning to kiss those bruised swollen lips murmuring, “shhh…shhsh angel. Just relax for me, yea? Can you do that?” you nod anticipating what is going to happen next, curling your arms around his shoulders as he adds in further, “tell me if it hurts. i’ll  stop ‘kay?”
“Um-hm”
He aligns the cock to your entrance and as he had your eyes on him, he pushes his cock in with a single broad thrust making your arms instantly fly back over your head gripping the edge of the pillow, wincing in pain, and gasping at the feeling of being full. He grits his teeth feeling the warmth of your gummy walls and sheathing his cock, halfway through.
“It..hu..hurts…”, you blurt out, eyes squeezing shut, body arching and suddenly feeling more full than before.
“Want me to … to pull out?”, he asks exhaustively grazing the tip of his nose against your neckline. You pull him into a kiss bucking your hips up trying to take him all in and then gasping as the tip of his cock kisses your cervix.
Al-haitham watches you meticulously: eyes rolling white you squirm underneath him sensing a knot in your belly button that is slowly building up its moment as you adjust to his girth. “Yo’r so good for me, angel.”, starting to kiss along your glistening neckline. He is relishing the feeling of being inside you. Finally, he is fucking that pussy that has been driving him crazy for days. How can it be over just a few minutes?

Only good girls get to
Pairing: Tighnari x F!Reader
Warnings: Smut, MDNI, orgasm denial, princess & baby girl used as pet names, fingering, marking (hickyes and bite marks), lil bit of bully Tighnari,
Word Count: 1,495
Dawn's notes: I am a firm believer that Tighnari is a a sweetheart, but he is a bully in bed. Have you heard him speak?
Tumblr media
Tighnari was as busy as ever, dealing with the Forest Rangers, helping Collei, doing his forest ranger duties, dealing with the withering zones; everything on one plate.
What did he always have time for? Denying you the pleasure of the sweet bliss of an orgasm. Truthfully that was all that had been on his mind today, the tears in your eyes, the wobble of your lips, the sweet moans and pleas to just cum, and of course how you looked at him like he was the only thing in your world.
Doing any work today was nearly impossible, even if he was halfway across the Avidya Forest he could hear you talking, he could hear every word you spoke, how you talked to all of the plants and animals you treated. Archons, if he wasn’t already in love with you.
But one thing that got him so uncontrollably turned on was when the two of you passed each other in the forest, though it would have been innocent touching for those who did not pay attention, but for you it was anything but innocent.
“Oh Tighnari! How is your work going?” Your smile lit up the entire forest.
“It’s going well, thank you. How was the withering zone? I assume for the two of you it was no big deal?” He questioned as he stopped his group to talk with you and Collei. His eyes trained on your neck; though you tried to hide it well he could still pinpoint the red and purple markings he had left on you the night before. He could feel the scratches on his back burning but he didn’t mind.
As if you could feel his gaze on your neck you tried to adjust your collar to offer more cover as Collei spoke about the battle the two of you had, not that he paid attention, all he could focus on was the many bite marks that littered your body, the ones on your forearm and the ones that laid hidden by your shirt, those were his favorites. The red marks that littered all over your chest, mainly on your breasts.
Thinking too much about your body always made him react in strange ways, ways he knew you loved. “I can’t wait to read the report then.” He spoke curtly, with the finality in his works you and your companion moved past him, with a flick of his tail he brushed it against the back of your legs making it known what he wanted from you later in the night.
Work drudged on that day, all he could think about was you under him, begging and pleading with him. Once night had fallen he made his way to your shared home, his keen eyes could pick up on you wandering around fresh from a bath, he was going to make you regret not waiting for him. The second he walked past the door he closed it making sure the lock clicked into place.
The wide-eyed expression you gave him made him want to pounce on you right there and then. “Welcome home dear. Is everything alright?” You looked so innocent but the way the colors of his markings stood against your skin and the light interior of your home made him throw everything to the wind.
“You took a bath without me. Such a pity, I maybe would have let you cum there.” Watching your reaction to his words sent blood rushing through his veins, with your wide eyes you stared back at him in silence taken aback, processing everything he said to you. Closing the door he worked on getting his hoodie off. “May I take you?”
“Please, ever since you teased me in the forest earlier I have needed you.” Your voice sounded so sweet and dripped with honey, to a man who didn’t know you and your ways he would have had fallen for the faux innocence but he knew you. He knew that this was just a way for you to get under his skin and increase his craving for you.
“Then strip down and get on the bed.” Keeping a majority of his clothing on he watched you as you shedded your sheer pajamas and climbed onto the bed. He made his place between your legs, tightening his gloves around his fingers staring down at you. He could hear your heart beating faster as you wiggled your hips. “Use your words.”
“Please Tighnari I want you.” You reached down and grabbed his arm pulling his fingers to your core, even with his gloves on he could feel the heat radiating off of you.
“Come on now, I know you can do better than that.” No matter the smallest amount of noise that you made he would be able to hear you. Slowly he used his middle finger to circle your clit applying just the littlest bit of pressure.
“Please please please.” Were you even trying? Pulling his finger away he watched you with his tentative eyes, curious as to how you would take this. “Nari really?” You spoke out in whine as you forced yourself to sit up. “Do you like teasing me like this?”
“Oh yes quite, it is fun to see how whiney you get and I know you love the chase.” With a smirk he motioned for you to lay back down, yet you didn’t. “You’re going to be defiant now?” His interest was piqued.
“I don't want to be teased anymore. Please give me the pleasure you always do.” You reached for his hand again but he refused to let you grab ahold of it.
“See, you aren’t being a good girl. So I will give you pleasure but you don’t get to cum. Only good girls get to.” With that he brought his fingers back to your clit, using his middle and pointer fingers he applied pressure keeping his circles tight across the little bundle of nerves.
His teal/brown eyes watched your carefully as your body twitched and rolled at the pleasure that was rushing through your blood, your hips lift ever so slightly begging his fingers to go lower into your core, your body doing all the work when your mouth was only filled with wanton moans, far too busy to speak.
This is how he liked to have you the most, underneath him, a complete mess, your only thoughts were about him and the pleasure he gave you. Moments like these were his favorites, he didn’t have to worry about everything outside of your home, all he had to do was focus on you and the pleasure that was taking over your body.
Deciding you deserved to earn a little more of him he slowly dragged his fingers down to your greedy hole, he could see that it was clenching around nothing, taunting him. He knew from the over stimulation from last night and his teasing made you close already. All he had to do was get you right to the point of bursting and then bring you down so he can start all over again.
Tighnari picked up on the tears that laced your eyes as he slowly inched in his fingers, normally high pitched whining and squeals would hurt his ever so sensitive ears but with yours it only made him feel more excited. He knew your body better than anyone, he knew exactly where your spongy spot was and just how much pressure to apply to get you gushing around his fingers.
Even with his glove on he could feel how wet you were, you were ready for his cock but you hadn’t earned it yet. “Oh god Nari, right there please!” You moaned out as your fingers clenched the bedsheets.
Letting out a huff he rolled his eyes as he pressed his palm closer to you so it was applying pressure to your clit as the tips of his finger grazed over your sensitive spot. “I know baby, trust me I know.” He could feel your walls squeeze around him, he just needed you to get a little closer. “Come on baby, don’t you want to cum?”
It was good that he was distracting you with your pleasure because you apparently forgot that he told you no, your sweet little head nodding vigorously up and down, feeling your velvety walls fluttering around him he quickly pulled his fingers out of you staring at the mess you made of his glove.
You let out a cry of anguish as you glared at him. “I was so close!”
A smirk tugged at his lips as he spread his fingers, watching your essence gleam in the light. “Oh I know, did you really forget what I said? You haven't been good so you don’t get to.” His eyes met yours as his skillful tongue shot out and licked between his fingers, getting his first taste of the night.
He was going to ruin you.

— taglist (that is super open) ;; @tiddieshakeshownu (username had me baffled LMAOOO)
Tumblr media
The two of you were still young. New. Fresh. You two were still… small to understand. Childe was immature, fresh off on the Fatui, so there was no doubt that he would be trying his best in his first few days, just like you when you first got your job. But who thought that it would all come to this?
“It wasn’t me, I swear, Your Majesty! I would never do something so vulgar!” You insisted, shaking your head in denial. “We saw her, Your Highness. She was grabbing away!” Childe’s subordinates said in coax, you looked at him in disbelief. “What? You know me! You know I wouldn’t do anything like that!” — “Not until now.” The Tsaritsa’s voice cuts in deep. “I didn’t think you were like this, [Name]. And to think I let you in the palace without knowing you were such a thief!” She shouted, growling angrily at you. “N-No! No, Your Majesty, this has to be some kind of mistake! I don’t even have the items I was accused of stealing!” You fended, “Because the subordinates have told me you already sold them for mora!” She shouts back, rage filling against her. “I don’t even have money! I hit zero ever since Tartaglia came here, and accuse me all you want, Your Majesty, but neither did I steal and sell them for mora, but I worked hard so that I would be able to eat! You wouldn’t understand because you’ve never hit zero!” You retorted— Giving the Tsaritsa the same rage she gave you. The Tsaritsa gasps and stands up from her throne, walking up to you. She raises her hand as you wait for a sting on your cheek, not before you see Pantalone. “Your Majesty. I must have you digress, but the items that [Name] is accused of stealing is right here, with me.” He shows her the pendant, the important pendant that was kept in the palace for centuries. The Tsaritsa lowers her hand, sighing out heavily until she walks up to Childe’s subordinate. Her hand lands across the subordinate’s face, his mask falling to the ground. “My apologies for the sudden ruckus I’ve caused, [Name]. You are free to leave.”
Tumblr media
As you head outside the throne room, you felt a lingering presence behind you. You thought it was Pantalone, walking back to his quarters, not until you felt a folded piece of cloth against your mouth— but as you inhaled, you felt a wash of heaviness come over you. A sudden wave of a faint and heavy pry of an aching feeling.
“No! Stop, stop it, please! I beg of you!” You cried out, binds shackling you down as they melt down wax on your thighs. You couldn’t even escape, the sting of the lasso was already enough. But they— Childe’s subordinates just couldn’t get enough, could they? They’re vulgar, disgusting beings that shouldn’t have lived. They shouldn’t have. Why was everything, everyone so unfair to you? Is everyone simply just lucky they aren’t targeted by such? Why?
One subordinate grabs a handful of your hair, a pair of scissors in his hands, “What?! No, no! Anything but my hair, please—!” You pleaded, but you were too late. He already torn and cut a piece of your hair. He holds the chunk of hair he cuts off, right in front of your face, dropping it to your thighs as he lands a harsh slap against your cheek. “Pathetic.” He indicates. You already knew you were, why did he have to rub it in your face?
One subordinate laughs. So mischievously and viciously that you’d think they weren’t human beings; not giving a single care or word for their own kind. He lands one slap on your face. Wasn’t the other nine already enough?! “Listen here, you big pest. You leave Snezhnaya, and you stay away.” He turns out a switchblade and places it across your neck as he pulls your head backwards with a hand of your hair in his free hand. “I wouldn’t be the least bit to be afraid to sway this knife over your throat once I know the second that you’ve step foot here again. Even in the next decades. Till the day you die.” He asserts, throwing your head out of his hands, leaving with the other subordinates.

Knock. A knock on the door splayed throughout the room, Marjorie’s sweet toned voice pierced through the door. “[Name]? Dearest! We have a customer! He needs your help on finding the perfect ring for his significant other!” She says contentedly. You could hear her small jumps from her shoes to the door. You laugh quietly to yourself and fix your clothes, dusting yourself off after a long doze off. You open the door from your office, a figure displays behind Marjorie, that tavern owner nearby. Diluc Ragnvindr.

On good days, the clouds in Freminet's head are gloomy and overcast. They blot out the sun of his emotions and keep him safe. Sometimes, it even rains in Freminet's mindscape. He doesn't mind those days, in fact, he welcomes the gentle patter.
Something about the rhythmic drops, a sound that mirrors real life, settles his heart. There is no end to the ripples that echo in his lonely heart, so he hopes that if they must move, that they are kind. They aren't always, but he will take many things over waves.
Freminet takes a long, deep breath and falls back into the water. The open blue welcomes him with open arms. Rainbows of rippling fish shimmer weaving in and out of bright corals and seaweed.
This is what he's been missing.
He sinks down lower, where the water is calm. Here, no ripples disturb the surface. Under the turbulent fabric that connects all of the seas at the top, the bottom is comparatively slower. He could almost sleep here, undisturbed for all time.
It's colder still at the bottom of the sea. Cyan blue fades into indigo and turns deeper. Like how the day turns into night, Freminet lets the waves wash his heart out, lets the numb freeze over his mind.
He doesn't have to think here.
Just this once, Freminet is free. There is no one to stare, no one to judge, he's safe. Happier and better than anywhere else. Sunlight floating down from the surface has left gentle kisses on his face.
He likes to think that it's his mother.
But only on good days.
On bad days, the overcast weather turns from gloomy to stormy. Thunder strikes at every opportunity, turning into an awful pounding headache. Lighting bolts pierce steaming holes into the sea of his mind. Turbulent waves tower over him and it seems like Freminet will drown.
On these days, everything is simultaneously too loud and quiet. Every pause after he talks to someone seems to stretch out into an infinity that even the Electro Archon would envy and each conversation becomes a chore. Something that Freminet thinks that even Lady Furina would tire of.
Maybe not, she had a gift for speech. In many ways that he didn't.
When the skies turn into storms, Lyney leaves the table they eat at. His spot quickly turns from a source of warm to a stale hole. Like a draft in a rickety old house, or the cold breath of air that visits one's slumber in winter.
Freminet could have all his fortresses up, insulate all the possible gaps in his heart, and still, Lyney burns them down. What he thinks was an icy heart melts away easily, much too quickly at Lyney's cold, silent rage.
He doesn't explode, merely walks out. Freminet is left staring at the empty abyss of his back. Lynette is left to pick up the pieces, her gentle voice and soothing hands smoothing over the wrinkles in the tension.
She's good at that, at making them relax.
Freminet envies her. He envies Lyney. it's an irrational thought, but one that he can't keep away. He might reinforce his defences, arm himself once more, doggedly stumble onwards, but he doesn't reach the pedestral.
At the very top of the kingdom that "Father" has built, stands Lyney's figure. Silent and brooding, one rung below sits Lynette. Freminet has been looking up at them even when they were strangers. He has never moved once from the abyss of the sea.
Before the twins' arrival, he has never known desire for something other than the ocean. He doesn't know if the change he faces now is a good or bad thing.
He doesn't get to ponder these questions in the day time.
They only become evident at night. When he lies in bed and the blankets are tucked into every corner to stop a cold breeze, do the thoughts arise. There is no peace that can be won without a fight.
Sometimes he dreams.
They are fuzzy at most, leaving vague impressions. Like marks in the sand, soon to be washed away. But Freminet remembers the feelings they gave him.
If he had to describe them, it would be like a gentle sun, shining through light rain.
Yes, those would be his happiest days. A time where he doesn't shield himself from his mother's memory; like how he uses the water to hide from the glare of the sun. One day, he promises himself, one day the clouds in his mind will part.
Maybe...when that day finally came, he'd be able to stand at eye level with Lyney and Lynette.
And just maybe, he'd be able to look them in the eyes, take their hands...and say, "Let me share your burdens."
He can see Lyney's mischievous smile, and already hear the, "took you long enough little brother." Maybe Lyney would ruffle his hair.
He can also see Lynette's approving face, she would nod and let her tail swish from side to side, "good job, Freminet. I'm proud of you."
Freminet doesn't really know what his mother would say, he imagines a myriad of things, "that's my boy", "I'm so proud of you," things to that effect, but he has no way of knowing.
So he settles for what he does know, and for the day he can say, "I made it."

The Forbidden Woods
A Genshin Impact Au Pairing: Aether/Xiao Urban Fantasy and Supernatural Romance Find on A03: [Here] Special Thanks to @genavere: My beta. Unsure how I forgot to update this by two chapters, but expect chapter 5 to also drop soon because I posted 4 over a week ago on a03. Whoops. Chapter 3: / Chapter 5:
---
Chapter 4: He Who Lingers
Aether's first conscious thoughts were of a memory. Or something resembling  a memory, old and faded with time.
He had fought with Lumine over some small thing he  didn't recall. Nothing life or death except to a seven year old. They shouted and smacked, tackled each other into the dirt and wrestled through a pile of multi-colored leaves until Lumine called him something that came out as white noise.
It had hurt, whatever the name had been. Nasty and crude, but he couldn’t remember it.
Rather than attack his sister further, he sprang up from their tussle and ran. Fat tears pricking his eyes. He thought he recalled her shouting for him, but chose not to hear it. He rushed to the altar stone, ignored the makeshift chairs they had painstakingly put together and went further still.
He ran and ran, towards the forest line separated by a wooden fence he clambered over with tears obscuring his vision. When he landed on the other side, the world felt as if it had taken a plaintive shift that made Aether dizzy.
Lumine’s shouting echoed mutely in the distance, and the skies above felt darker, casting everything to purple tones. He rubbed the tears from his eyes and hiccupped, still engulfed in emotion as he processed the world around him.
The woods were quiet; the sounds of his steps echoed as branches snapped beneath his feet. His thoughts of anger and hurt slowly bled away to nervous wonder as his fingers brushed along the leaves of a large fern. He inspected the moss covering the nearby flora, making careful note of the nearby tree covered in large thorns.
One glance behind him showed the fence still there, paces away, and he nodded. While his heart threatened to beat out of his chest, determination filled him as he took another step, then one more. He shouldn't be here. He knew this, but where else could he go to be alone? Maybe Lumine would feel so bad she'd be in tears once he returned, begging his forgiveness.
One more step passed those sharp trunks and he sucked in a watery breath, eyes still blurry from his earlier outburst.
“You shouldn't be here,” A voice, not unlike his own, whispered in his ear and he jumped, a surprised yelp echoed through the quiet wilderness.
When he tried to run, a hand smaller than his grabbed his wrist, holding it tight. He whirled around to face this stranger with an enraged, terrified shout-
“It's not safe,” the voice urged.
-Only to meet the gaze of a boy his age, bearing down on him with the brightest, piercing gold eyes he’d ever seen.
Aether's eyes shot open, the echoes of the dream-like memory fading as fast as they had hit. Bits and pieces of it faded away until all he could remember was the small fight with Lumine, running away and- he let out a pained sigh, feeling a headache behind his eyes. How long had it been since he'd thought about those old fights? Strange how he’d forgotten about them. Groaning, he rolled to the side in his small nest of blankets, gripping his head.
He felt hungover. And though he hadn’t drank a single alcoholic beverage the night before, it was on the fast track to being the worst he’d ever suffered before. With mouth feeling dry and full of cotton, Aether whined as he shook the last vestiges of the dream off his shoulders, refusing to think on it further.
Mechanically stretching his body until the sheets exposed his heated skin to the cool air, Aether shuddered and considered balling himself up to sleep a little longer. But another shiver ran down his spine at the thought, fearing more nameless memories coming to haunt him. Instead he reached for his phone to check what little notifications he could see, flinched at the brightness and quickly fought with the phone to lower its settings. After a few failed attempts, he cursed the demon bird for the umpteenth time and attempted to move on to Lumine’s messages.
Instead, the image gallery from the night before swam into focus, blaring that photo back at him in full brightness. Surprised, the phone slipped from tired fingers and smacked against his face.
“Ow! Son of a-”
Egregious curses filled the house, signaling the official start of his day.
After what felt like hours, he finally found him with a cup of coffee in hand, bags under his eyes, and a fierce stare at the phone which wounded him.  More specifically, the image that had haunted him since the day before. As much as he wanted to call Lumine, the urge remained paralyzed in the back of his mind, quietly festering as his headache persisted.
Yellow eyes glared at him: narrowed, angry, judging. He sipped his coffee and glared back, as if that alone would solve the mysteries popping up in every corner of his life recently. When nothing obviously happened, he sighed and covered the offended eyes with his finger.
It still didn't make him feel any better hiding them, but it allowed him to try and piece together the rest of the image without being distracted by the intense gaze behind the broken glass.
Squinting, he tried to differentiate between dead pixels and the image. A second later, his cheeks turned red as he realized the man was very naked, legs bent in the perfect position to censor the bits that would have sent Aether into an embarrassed coughing fit. It was odd how long it took him to realize it, as if it took every ounce of focus to translate what his retinas were viewing.
He could have sworn there were clothes yesterday, but the sight of firm muscles and toned abs said otherwise, leaving Aether to quietly drool from the pixelated visual. The rest of the details were too grainy and glitched, making the man’s skin look off-colored in many places. And was that a tattoo on his shoulder? Not only there but along the hip bones and - He cleared his throat and forced his eyes back up the screen.
Lifting the phone to his face, nose practically pressed against the screen, he tried to visualize what he was missing. The hair was wild, unkempt and uneven, but the teal streaks practically glowed in the sunlight and the eyes-
Crap, when did he stop covering the face? The gaze was back and suddenly he felt exposed, dropping the phone back to the table in discomfort. What was wrong with him?
“It's just a photo,” he muttered in a vain attempt to console himself. “Nothing bad ever happened just looking at a photo. Even if there's a guy looking hotter than-”
He paused, nose scrunching at his train of thought before quickly squashing it. “Anyway, what I should be focusing on is the fact that there was a guy here and I completely missed it because of a damn bird!”
Yes, that's how he decided to explain it. Obviously, someone was trespassing and he just miraculously hadn't noticed because of a cute bird that he couldn't even see in the image. It made no sense, but the alternative made even less.
Because, if he didn't tell himself there was a strange hobo living in his backyard, that meant the bird wasn't a bird, and that was insane.
The throbbing in his temple reigned him back in as he slowly sipped his coffee, grimacing at the bitter taste. Somehow, he'd forgotten to bring cream and sugar and was suffering the consequences. That, or Paimon had decided to play a prank on him.
Rubbing his eyes, Aether muttered quiet curses beneath his breath, wondering just what he'd done to feel this horrendous. He wasn't getting sick, was he? Vowing to dig through his bags for excedrin later, he turned his attention back to the phone, gnawing on his lip.
He was on the verge of a realization, that he knew. Even from a distance, the eyes were still intense, but the face shape, the wild, silky-looking hair and downturned lips, all of it was familiar. Like an old friend he hadn't seen in years, or an old dream he'd long forgotten. The feeling he knew this person kept his attention drawn to the rectangular surface far longer than he wanted to admit.
“...Who...are you?” The question fell into the air.
He thought he heard a voice from his dreams calling back to him in answer. It echoed into his mind like a faded, distant memory.
‘It’s not safe. You have to leave.’
Where had he heard that before?
A feeling of nausea flooded through him like a wave and he covered his mouth. Bile and stomach acid rose into the back of his mouth as he knocked the chair over in his haste to rush to the bathroom, practically choking on his own spit.
He didn’t notice the gold eyes peering through the hall window, or the rustling of feathers as he ran past.
Retching and coughing up what little contents he had in his stomach, Aether quivered over the toilet bowl. Thankful he made it in time, shifting to his knees, he rested his head against the outer porcelain. A conscious part of him was disgusted by the action, but his quaking, overheated muscles refused to move an inch. Another wave shot through his body and his eyes watered from the strain.
He'd have to get more than headache medicine, he realized. When his stomach finally settled, enough time had passed for the sun to shine directly into the nearest window, heating his back as he shivered.
Slowly, Aether found the strength to open his eyes again and was stunned to realize the migraine had ebbed away. Even the dizziness that had assaulted his senses since he woke was gone.
Mumbling weakly, he quietly wished he'd let Lumine and Paimon come with him. Being alone in a large, empty house full of dead memories was eating away at him, and the lack of familiar support left him ungrounded. He missed their laughter, his twin's affectionate teasing and stubborn nature as she stayed by his side. Even Paimon's black hole of a stomach as she begged for a third breakfast.
He missed all of it, and the intensity of those feelings, coupled with his present confusion and sickness, broke through his calm exterior, leaving him sobbing on the floor. “...Why did I even come here?”
Why didn't he let Lumine sign those papers the day they were asked to sell? Why was he adamant in seeing this forsaken place one last time? What could have been so important? Lumine and Paimon were his family, his little sister had never set foot in this place, being born long after they had left.
Laying there, listless and exhausted, Aether considered returning early, the broken phone and mysterious image be damned. He could ask Draff to collect his new phone and ship it to him. He could arrange a flight and be back with his siblings in a matter of days.
With those thoughts forming a quick plan in his mind, Aether finally managed to stand, legs wobbly as he balanced by the sink and quickly began to wash his face and teeth. He flushed the toilet–even gave it a quick scrub for good measure, and sighed, staring into the bathroom mirror with an empty gaze.
The nausea was gone, but the dull tremors of his migraine threatened to return. The person looking back at him barely recognizable and pathetic looking.
Why was he so sick? No one he had met yesterday seemed ill, and nothing he ate seemed bad. “...I'll just ask Draff to drop me off some flu medicine.”
Now that he was thinking clearer, getting a plane ticket while sick was probably not the greatest plan. In fact, he could imagine the lecture Lumine would give him just for attempting it.
No, as much as he missed his family, it was better to wait it out and leave when he wasn't a possible contagion to those around him. Deciding to fill his stomach with toast in hopes it would stay down, he left the bathroom and steeled himself to suffer through the rest of the day.
Entering the kitchen with weak stumbles, he stopped when he noticed something on the counter that hadn’t been there before.  Standing proud and alone was a blue pill bottle labeled for flu and day time colds.
When did-?
He looked around for signs of anyone having gone through the house. The bolt was still on the door and the windows were sealed. Once he was satisfied no one else was in the house, Aether approached the counter and examined the bottle.
“...did I just forget I had this?” No, surely that wasn't right, but what other explanation was there?
Instinct screamed to trust himself. Aether wasn’t crazy. Not for this. And who in their right mind would take suspicious medications they didn’t remember purchasing themselves? Under normal circumstances, he would have thrown the bottle out, but his mind circled back to the photo on his phone and realized he couldn’t call any of this normal. The bird. Draff’s ability to be oblivious to the strange things around them. The supposedly old Zhongli and Venti–the latter whom he’d yet to meet, and the weird sensations he’d had since approaching their home.
While he would have chalked all this up to a tv show he’d binge watch back with Lumine and Paimon. The reality, however, was much harder to process and Aether struggled to accept the facts: this wasn’t his imagination. No matter the kind of media he’d once consumed, this was real. He wasn’t imagining any of it. That realization would have probably concerned most people, but Aether realized he hadn’t felt unsafe once. Whatever was out in the woods, he was safe, welcome even. A feeling he quietly admitted he hadn’t felt in a long time. Which is the exact thought that led to him popping two of the pills into his mouth and swallowing without another thought.
As he cleared his throat and returned to his coffee, he thought he heard a familiar warble of a bird, but when he turned to the sound, nothing was there. He wiped his mouth and peered out the window a little longer, eyes narrowed in thought.
Maybe he really was crazy.
Or…
Setting the thought aside, he returned to his sleep space with coffee in one hand and the phone in the other. The screen was dark, but he knew what would be looking straight at him the moment it lit up once more. That could also wait until later. Instead, he nestled himself in his blankets and waited for the pills to kick in…or worse.
It would turn out, Aether was lucky. The worst case scenario failed to happen. In fact, the pill’s he’d taken worked better than he thought. When he next woke after a short rest, the nausea was nonexistent and the headache that once pounded behind his eyes was a distant memory. He stretched under his blankets and smiled, surprised his muscles weren’t sore from his earlier vomiting.
It was prudent to not expect to be a hundred percent so soon, but Aether felt closer to normal than he had in days.
The busted phone in his hand shined with a blue light around the edges, signifying a notification and he was more than happy to examine it. He smiled as a video message from Paimon and Lumine popped up on the cracked screen. “Let’s see how well you see us with a busted phone, Aether!” Paimon shouted, voice so shrill it pierced his ears even through the machine, “You really are hopeless without us, huh?”
“You haven’t answered your phone or called us back,” Lumine followed behind Paimon, her golden hair a stark difference from their younger sister's platinum, but both of their eyes reflected the same amber as his own, despite the worry.
“If it’s not too jacked up,” she said tersely, “can you call us back?”
“Yeah! We’re worried about you!”
How the sound of their voices put a song in his heart and lifted his spirits in an instant. It was almost enough to completely forget about the image still opened in the gallery. While the image played out across the screen, slightly chopped and glitched in parts, he smiled and studied their faces. He missed them dearly, but this seemed just enough to chase the looming loneliness from his mood.
Just when he was about to return the missed call, he heard the same warble of a bird from earlier. It called his attention, pulling him to glance out his window towards the branches of the large oak in the front yard. He almost expected nothing to be there like before, but was surprised to find the demon bird itself peering back at him from the thinnest limb. It was as if the fowl was trying to press itself directly against the window as its head tilted to the side. Another chirp and Aether lifted up his phone in response and waved it with a raised brow. “I got it back, you lil’ gremlin,” he boasted, but was surprised when the bird merely hopped to the outer ledge and pecked the glass in a gentle rat-a-tat-tat, and cocked its head yet again. Aether got the strange impression it was waiting on something. Trying to discern the gaze of a bird, Aether looked around and spied the pill bottle he’d brought with him. It couldn’t be…could it? Logic would suggest that an animal wouldn’t understand the point in a bottle of medication, but after the last few days he’d had, he was starting to run with whatever wild conclusion popped into his mind. He set the phone down, replacing it with the bottle and held it up, stunned to see the bird’s head moving about as it followed the movement, eyes zeroed in on the object. He shook it to the left, then the right, marveling as his little terror kept it in its sights at all times. When he tossed it into the air, attempting to see if the bird would also jump, it squawked indignantly and puffed out its feathers, eliciting a sharp laugh from Aether.
Too cute, he thought, feeling far less angry at the bird than he was the day before. How could he stay mad at something so adorable? “All right, I’ll stop making you dance. Are you checking in on me?”
How silly, he thought, of course it wasn’t. It’s a bird, Aether, he told himself, yet again, ignoring the quiet reminder towards the image suggesting otherwise. But if his instincts were correct, no matter how insane they might be, then he couldn’t resist testing the theory. “I’m feeling much better now…Thanks? I don’t know how it could have been you, but if it was, I appreciate the help.”
It was just an experiment. That’s all it was. That’s what Aether told himself. One to prove his logic correct once and for all. There was nothing truly weird happening. He didn’t receive medication from a bird and it certainly hadn’t defied physics to deliver it to him.
The man in his phone was a hacker of some sorts and not the actual bird, and whatever happened at Zhongli’s was just social jitters. This bird didn’t know what he was saying, it probably didn’t even know he was talking to it to begin with. Now that he’d said his piece, the bird would continue not reacting, just as a real bird would and he’d chalk it up to delusions caused by stress. Yes. That was it. Mission a complete suc-
The bird bobbed its head and flapped its wings, brandishing the beautiful golden flight feathers that gleamed in the light. It twirled in its spot, like an actual dance and nodded its head before it took flight, leaving behind a shaking branch as the only sign it had been there in the first place.
-failure. Mission failure. Aether stared, nonplussed at the window, jaw wide open as his mouth went dry. It looked as if the bird had celebrated the news. That’s exactly what that was, right? He wasn’t crazy? No. He was crazy. Had to be. “...what was in those pills?”
Fresh air, Aether decided, after staring at the window for a ridiculous amount of time, to pay attention to a bird that was no longer there. When he gathered his wits, he realized he must have been in the dusty old place for too long. It was messing with his brain. That had to explain it.
Making a mental note to google what connections there could be to dust and hallucinations later, he sprang from his makeshift bed and rushed himself out the back door.
His intention was clear. A fresh clear breeze would be just what he needed to battle the old dust of the house and give him a better outlook on the situation. When he stepped out, a gentle wind rustled through his hair, brushing along his face in a gentle caress and the immediate change in temperature eased the tension in his shoulders. The old wood of the porch groaned at every step, but he ignored it. He had more pressing matters to attend to.
Like the fact he had a perfect view of the stone altar along the border of his land, standing proud and clean and was not helping his train of thought.
Once upon a time, Aether believed in the concept of the unknown: Ghosts, Fairies, Magic and Demons. These weren't just stories to him or Lumine. In this backyard, all stories felt as if they could come alive at any moment. It made their home a wondrous place. And while that feeling of wonder had faded as they grew older, the two of them worked hard to keep that magical feeling alive in their little sister.
These memories, thoughts, and feelings, they warred with each other in his mind. Frivolous, childhood fantasies that were nothing more than a young boy's imagination–he thought he believed that, but now Aether wasn't so sure.
He wondered if his sense of nostalgia was causing him to see the world differently, but the more he dismissed his experiences as a flight of fancy, the more it churned in his stomach like a sickness. Maybe there was still a part of him that wanted the magic of childhood to be more than silly memories.
There was no sight of the bird. A fact that filled Aether with quiet disappointment. He had hoped its nest was nearby, giving him more opportunities to observe it. Inhaling deeply, he sat on the steps of the decaying wooden porch and frowned.
The fogginess that plagued his mind that morning was long gone, but he was no closer to escaping his muddied thoughts than he was before. Rather than continue to circle through each moment and consideration, he chose instead to lean against the rails, gazing between the runs as he enjoyed the evening air.
The sun was just starting its downward descent, a testament to the passage of time while Aether was lost in the clouds of his own mind. He shut his eyes, opened them again, and clenched them shut once more, as if expecting something to change with each blink.
Nothing did.
The backyard remained the same with the grass almost on the verge of being too high, the debris he cleared off still littered by the large oak, and the stone altar–a staunch difference from the modern world.
He remembered asking why it was there once, but his Father had merely shrugged and stated it had been there long before they were and would still be there after they left. Now older, it was clearly a fancy way to say, 'I don't know,' but Aether had enjoyed the reasoning regardless.
It sounded...mystical back then. And even now, with the stories and myths echoing in his skull, it still felt beyond the world he knew beyond Springvale.
Keeping his eyes closed for longer, he immersed himself in his senses. The wind was still gentle, a cool brush along the back of his neck in the late spring air while the scent of the nearby woods and wildflowers eased his nerves. Taking a deep breath, Aether basked and allowed himself to imagine the world as he did when younger.
While he knew the world would remain as it was, once he opened his eyes again, he enjoyed pretending it wouldn't. That there was truth in the old tales and that the stone altar was more than just an ancient relic of a culture long lost. It could be a place where birds, plants, and even the elements could appear more than they were. Where they could walk next to Aether just as any other person could.
It was a nice thought that was soon interrupted by the familiar, distant sound of flapping.
Another bird? Aether wouldn't be surprised if a whole flock made their nests somewhere nearby, but the lone flapping was gone as fast as he heard it, followed by the crunching of undergrowth and twigs in the distance.
His eyes shot open, startled by the sound as if it occurred beside him, but his gaze trailed further off towards the treeline. The world remained the same, but his earlier consideration towards an intruder slammed back into him like a bag of bricks. Someone was out there. In the woods. They were close. He heard it loud and clear, Aether was certain.
Not a bird. Not an animal. Human footsteps.
Aether jumped to his feet, ignoring the wave of dizziness it caused as he held fast to the railing and leaned forward, eyes narrowed in earnest.
“Who's out there?” he called fiercely, already planning his escape back into the house. And if that didn’t work? What other places would he hide? The options weighed heavily in his mind.
He had no weapons. If a hunter was poaching nearby, Aether was defenseless. He didn’t see the familiar orange vest of a hunter exploring through the thickets, nor did he see the silhouette of a gun or compound bow. In the past, these were the staple of all legal hunters in the area and the locals were good at following the hunting laws to the letter. Was it the same still? Aether squinted his eyes, attempting to see further into the wood.
Another step, quieter, and Aether realized everything was just as quiet. No birds sounded and the wind had stopped just as suddenly. As if the world had paused in an instant all around him and left him spying the tree line for anything.
Someone was there.
And finally, he saw them; Their yellow eyes pierced him through the distance. Just like the photo on his phone, the man that should have been a bird, stepped behind a collection of trees with only the hint of teal and black hair dispersing into the shadows. Aether felt his heart tighten as the air left his lungs.
He'd seen that before. Not in a photo or in the identical coloring of a bird dancing in the tree limbs, but from a dream that felt like a memory. He exhaled sharply, recalling the small boy that had once urged him to never enter the woods, and who often joined him and Lumine in their childhood games.
An imaginary friend, his Mom had called it, having never seen the boy for herself. Eventually, Aether had convinced himself the same, but the taller, older proof had slipped into the shadows of the darkwood as if he'd belonged there.
Aether's mouth ran dry, his fingers shook. A bit of fear bled into excitement as he launched himself off the railing and dashed off towards the fence. His bare feet smarted when he tripped over a root and stepped on a twig, but he hastily moved onward, wincing briefly as his earlier dizziness sprang upon him like a tsunami.
“Wait, wait-!” he called, desperately , eyes blurring once he'd slammed himself against the fencepost nearest the treeline. He glanced through every gap in the trees, desperately wanting to see what he was so sure he knew now.
It couldn't be real, and yet it was. That was the man in the photo–who was also a bird, who swam in his memories as a quiet, gentle reminder from an old friend, to never step into the forest.
Recklessly, he climbed over the fence and grunted when another twig snapped beneath his feet. Logic no longer bound Aether in place as he looked for the safest path into the trees. He didn't know just how far he planned to go, only that the intense need to see the truth up close spurred him onward.
Three steps forward, however, and the world flipped on its head. Aether toppled to the earth with grass and leaves filling his mouth and tickling his nostrils. Coughing, he pushed himself up, body shaking as a wave of illness struck him just as hard that morning, as if it had never left.
“...s-shit!” He cursed, weakly looking onward as the world grew hazy. A strange fog swam into his vision, tinting the world around him as he struggled to sit up.
Stupid. How could he have been so stupid!
'You can't come here,' the voice, Aether now recognized as an old, forgotten friend, whispered in his ears. 'Never again. Stay safe, alive and happy, far away from here- please.'
He thought he saw someone approach as his head hit the dirt, darkness covering his vision yet again.
In this new dream, he felt strong arms lift him securely and carry him out of the woods, voice muttering words he could not understand quietly in his ear.
When Aether woke up, he was back in his room, body sore from head to toe, and stomach feeling inside out. A cool rag sat atop his head and a fresh glass of water sat on the nightstand beside him.
Right beside it, the mysterious medicine, sitting atop a long, golden feather.

Tumblr media
It has been a couple of months already since you were discharged from the hospital and today is a special day.
You're wearing a long-sleeved white dress while placing camelia flower pins on your little bun together with the necklace and bracelet that Ayato gave you. The chain has a medium oval-shaped Sapphire gem while the bracelet is silver that has three small camelia flowers in the middle.
This gift was just a gift to you, but for Ayato it means everything.
…Everything?
—
Ayato patiently waited for you in the carnival while sitting in the nearby pastry shop where he bought you different flavors of macarons with some freshly baked croissants.
It was all peaceful not until he saw three familiar shadows of people. His eyes widened because he couldn't understand why these people are here right now, was it a coincidence? Maybe not. It was just supposed to be the two of you here today.
"I'd never thought the Lord of the Kamisato Family would indulge in a place like a carnival." Arataki Itto said while smirking at his best friend.
"Is the Lord of the Kamisato Family not allowed to be seen in such places?" Ayato gave Itto a cold glare, making the white-haired rascal flinch a little.
"Why are you surprised that we're here, didn't you invite us here in the first place?" Diluc Ragnvindr states while looking at the bag of pastries he bought for you.
"Oh, sweets! You won't mind if I get some here right? Pretty sure you didn't buy anything with beans here." As Itto was about to lay his hands inside the bag he was immediately tightly held on the arm by Ayato.
"I was about to say you're so thoughtful to buy us food but it seems… This was bought for someone else." Childe smirked at Ayato who was currently scratching his head abashedly.
A car stopped in front of the cafe and revealed the elegant lady. The three men froze and were completely shocked by the beauty you had, how long it had been and how come, especially Ayato, did not notice that you were so simple but pretty.
However, Diluc seemed not bothered by your sudden appearance. It was you who invited him, Childe, and Itto to come along. Although, he was kind of already expecting that you'd be dressing up.
You came up to Ayato immediately and whispered to him.
"Sorry, I got a little excited and embarrassed. I invited everyone…" You let out a small giggle.
The man seemed to keep up a straight face despite his inner self breaking down already. He wanted this day to be special for both of you. It seemed that hanging out with you while you were in a hospital made him think that you're not a bad person after all even after all of the childish games the two of you played.
"W-well, I suppose Lumine should be here anytime soon…" You nervously spoke when your phone beeped a message that was from Lumine.
From: Lumie 🎉
Y/N! I'm so sorry I can't come today… I woke up and I have Chicken pox! I guess I'll see you after two weeks or more weeks then… Just about time for the Kamisato Family's annual celebration for the heir.
(A/N: And I'm going to give y'all a pretty good guess on what's about to go down in the next chapter.)
"Oh no! Lumine can't come, she, unfortunately, has chicken pox." You spoke softly which was too cute for Ayato to hear hence his ears were starting to turn red.
"Stop going "Oh no!" Y/N. You're alive! I haven't seen you so well in ages! I thought you were going to be bedridden after all that?!" Itto is exaggeratedly said.
"Calm down Itto…" Diluc and Ayato said in unison. The two glared at each other as if there was a heavy atmosphere of fighting between them.
"Isn’t it a little too soon for Y/N to go to places like this? She just got out of the hospital…” Diluc sighed and his hands moved across his face.
Before anyone could say a thing, Diluc was very much straightforward with his thoughts and actions.
“Don’t worry Y/N, I’ll keep you away from harm.” He said while staring at the flower pins you have in your head while unconsciously holding your hand.
Ayato was fixated on your small hands that were being held by the manly hands of one of his best friends, for some reason, he did not like whatever was in front of him.
There was a long silence but was fortunately interrupted by Itto’s sneeze due to the smell of the Cafe, after all, he does not like beans. The five of you walked out with Diluc still holding your hand and you weren’t aware of the dark auras Childe and Ayato were producing whereas it’s enough for Itto to be scared of what happened next since all that Diluc was doing to look back at the three and smirk at them for holding something they wanted to hold.
A few minutes after, something caught your eye and you ran to it letting go of Diluc’s hand but this time Childe was quick to go after you. You were in front of a really cute and squishy stuffed toy in a stall at the carnival.
“I-I’d like to play twice!” You slammed down the money in front of the staff who smiled and handed you a toy gun with 6 bullets, 3 each play.
You don’t have good accuracy and precision with guns and wasted all six bullets, you didn’t notice Childe was grinning at you while you were grieving your failure.
He held you by your shoulder and whispered. “Don’t worry Y/N, I’ll get this one for you.” As he puts down his money while the staff arranges the emptied cans before handing Childe his toy gun and bullets.
“Now, watch closely Y/N.” He positioned his arm and legs, he looked like he knew how to use a gun. Well, after all, Childe came from a popular family. Everyone heard three bullets were shot and it was a bullseye!
Other people that were watching began to clap their hands to Childe while he felt so honored to be praised by other people.
“Acta es Fabula, Plaudite!” He jokingly bowed to other people.
“Congratulations Miss, your boyfriend won this price for you.” You heard the staff speak behind you while handing you the stuffed toy that you wanted.
“Wow! She’s so lucky to have a handsome gentleman as her boyfriend!”
“Mommy! I also want that stuffed toy!”
“I’m sorry dear, someone got to it first. Let’s choose something else okay?”
“Okay, Mommy!”
“When would I get a boyfriend like him?”
“In your dreams girl!”
“W-wait! I-I’m not h-his girlfrie-” Childe grabbed you and walked in the middle of the crowd.
“Childe! What are you doing?” You frantically said while he continued to drag you.
“Saving you from the crowd, what else?” He replied and hid his slight blush.
After a few moments, you and Childe are both exhausted and currently resting at a small table with the others.
“Took you long enough to get back here, a lover from Snezhnaya." You heard Itto speak while the two of you were still catching your breath.
"Very funny Itto…" You pouted at him and somehow made a certain individual blush.
"Are you alright Y/N?" Diluc immediately came to your care quickly giving you a cup of water which you gladly accepted.
"S-she's fine Diluc, stupid crowd," Childe replied but he already looks like he got squished and dies in the corner already.
Ayato did nothing but observed the four of you. He was quite frustrated with how his friends were doing everything just to keep you away from him but then again he didn't want to appear as someone who likes you. He decided to set aside the knot feeling he has in his heart for a while and think about the girl she likes, Guuji Yae, who hasn't been messaging or talking to anyone after her party. Some students in the school were worried about her but there have been ongoing rumors going on about her at the same time, everyone had their doubts about it and concluded that anyone who spread that rumor was only jealous of Guuji Yae.
"Is everyone alright for an early lunch?" Ayato said while fixing the buttons of his left wrist and looking at his watch.
"Hell yeah, I am!" Itto was the first person to reply, of course, you thought he'd be the first person to get hungry.
"Would our pretty lady pick a restaurant of her choice?" Ayato gave you a charming smile while speaking which made you flustered for a while.
(What possessed this person? I doubt he remembered me.) You thought to yourself and tried to think of a restaurant.
"What about "Good Hunter" Diluc brought me there when I was new in the school." You genuinely answered which brightened up the redhead's face. He was glad that even though you were in a coma, you still remembered the first things you had with him.
"Hmm, it's quite affordable there but if that's what Y/N wants then sure! Let's go." Ayato replied while picking up the bag he's been carrying since you arrived here.
The four of you followed him to his vehicle.
"Are we driving solo or are we driving as a group?" Childe said while waving and playing with his car keys.
"Which one do you prefer, Y/N?" Ayato asked you.
(What's with these people making me decide on their cars.) You mentally rolled your eyes at them.
"I prefer riding in groups, so it doesn't feel lonely." You replied.
"Then I offer to drive!" Itto shouted that echoed in the parking area.
"First come, first serve," Itto added and there's like a static shock with the four of you outside.
You quickly dashed to the backseat followed by Diluc and Childe leaving Ayato in the passenger seat.
The car seating arrangement:
Driver's seat: Itto
Passenger seat: Ayato
Back seat: Diluc, Y/N, Childe
Ayato thought you were aiming for the passenger seat which is why he didn’t race with Diluc and Childe but now he’s frowning on the side of his seat.
Meanwhile, you’re in the middle of Childe and Diluc.
“Itto, please stay safe driving.” You broke the silence.
“Of course I am, don’t worry Y/N” Itto smirked. Why was he smirking? You’re pretty sure that he wouldn’t crash the car right?
“Y/N since you’re new in our school. Why won’t you tell us about your childhood?” Itto said, he’s not doing much because he’s driving.
“I…” You spoke slowly and thought how on earth would you say that Ayato is your childhood best friend? To escape the situation, you put your hand on your forehead to show that you’re having a hard time recalling it.
“I think it’s best not to ask Y/N about her childhood, I believe she’s having a hard time recalling it,” Childe said while wrapping his arms around your shoulder.
(Why would Y/N get a hard time recalling her childhood? If she doesn’t want to remember it, she’d say it’s best not to talk about it because it’s unpleasant.) Somehow, this thought bothers Ayato.
You look out the front window and see that the road ahead isn’t nice. You’re pretty much sure that this doesn’t look like a road ahead for a restaurant.
“Itto, I’ve been in that restaurant and I’m damn sure this isn’t the short route,” Diluc said trying to hold still.
“What? I can’t hear you Diluc.” Itto shouted before turning the maneuver from side to side causing the back seat to fall into shambles.
You, being the person who sits in the middle have been thrown off from side to side. Falling into Childe’s chest to Diluc’s.
“Why are middle seat belts shitty?!” You attempted to remain your composure but failed to do so and continued to fall into your friends' manly chests.
“Ouch! That hurts!” Childe said and rubbed his head after hitting it on the corner of the car.
Diluc had enough and immediately grabbed you by your hips and pulled you closer to him. This had his face turn into a tomato. On the contrary, Itto finally hit the brakes.
“I was wondering which one of you has a thing for Y/N, so it’s you Diluc,” Itto said and laughed.
“W-who said I like Y/N?! You’re the dumbass who went on a zigzag rocky road that no person in their right mind would choose this road to eat in a restaurant.” Diluc furiously replied trying to get his point across before he let out the cat in the box.
“I’m simply protecting Y/N! She just got out of the hospital!” He added, defending himself.
“Look at her, she’s happy as a clam.” Itto looked back and stared at you who was currently flushed having your face pressed onto a man.
“Too much defense is quite suspicious.” Ayato coldly said while staring at the road ahead.
“What about you Ayato?” Itto looked at him in the eyes.
“What do you mean what about me?” He annoyingly replied to Itto.
Ayato’s eyes widened for a little bit when he saw you wrapped around Diluc’s body. He shook his head before replying again.
“What about it?” He added.
“Itto, when are you going to continue driving? I am hungry.” Childe begged for Itto and he smiled and moved the maneuver of his car.
Ayato is disturbed by the things Diluc is doing to you. He decided to avert his thinking to something else and continued to wonder how Miko is doing.
Ayato thought to himself, after the accident and the days he spent every day in the hospital too. You don’t seem to be a bad person at all…
(Y/N’s kind, Y/N’s pure-hearted… Wait why am I thinking of Y/N?! I’m only doing this because I’m indebted to her) He shook his head and admired the scenery.
A couple of minutes later, you finally arrived at good hunter when you should have been here way earlier only if Itto wasn’t a bad driver.
Fast-forwarding time, you were mistaken to be Diluc’s girlfriend by the other waitresses but Ayato tried to correct them that you weren’t his which made some of his friends laugh.
You enjoyed your lunch with everyone, especially when you were listening to Childe’s little sibling whom he called Teucer. He said that he hasn’t seen him a lot since he went to high school and he would love you to meet his family.
Itto talked about the childish rivalry he had with Kujuo Sara, how Sara always takes something very important from him and then bribes him into something. On the other hand, he had a bunch of friends outside school which he calls his gang and there’s a girl there that’s named Kuki Shinobu.
When it was Diluc’s turn to share something, he mentioned Kaeya, whom you met during your first days in school in this same restaurant that loves to tease and annoy Diluc. He mentioned that he used to be close friends with Jean not until a certain incident happened. They also had another friend, Lisa, who transferred schools after middle school. She’s rumored to be smart but also lazy.
Last but not least was Ayato, who said that he doesn’t want to share anything.
“Oh come on man, everyone shared,” Itto said while struggling to slice the steak he ordered.
“Well, if he doesn’t want to share. It’s alright, everyone has their privacy.” Diluc said and nodded.
“How about this, isn’t the annual celebration of the heir of the Kamisato Family 2 weeks from now?” Childe asked.
“Yes…” Ayato quietly replied, something seemed to be bothering his mind. As if he isn’t excited about the event.
“Why do you sound upset?” After listening to them talk, you finally spoke.
“Who said I’m upset?! This is none of your business Y/N!” He replied with a frustrated tone.
“Whoa! Someone’s on their period.” Childe jokingly said before he got smacked in the back by Itto.
"What was that for?!" Childe complained to Itto.
Ayato was a little surprised by your reaction, you were shocked by his sudden tone.
"I-I'm sorry, it's just… I get this bad feeling that something's going to happen and I'm not going to like it…" Ayato said and apologized to you.
"I-it's okay!" You worryingly answered him.
"Should we get dessert?" Diluc said to lighten up the mood. Fortunately, everyone agreed and ordered their respective sweets.
The afternoon was well spent walking around the mall near the restaurant, no one would want to go to the carnival with a full stomach.
—
You found yourself in the shoe and heels section in the mall. A pair of stilettos caught your attention and it was displayed in a glass case.
"These shoes were created specifically by a Princess from a foreign land. It is almost 70 years old but it was taken care of by this shop for a long time. This is the only pair that exists in the world. If no one buys this in the next 14 days, it will be put onto auction." The saleslady said.
"It's so beautiful…" You whispered while admiring the hand-picked diamond, carefully carving for every inch of its beauty. It is a daunting piece in the world.
You failed to notice the eyes that were gazing at you as you said those words.
"H-how much was it?" You frantically asked.
"990,000,000 Mora." The saleslady bowed her head when she said it. It's very expensive, even if you're rich. You wouldn't want to buy a pair of stilettos at that price even if it's very pretty. What you liked the most was the flowers and ribbons around it. It's so perfect that it can fit any kind of outfit.
"A-ah… I'll… get it sooner…" You replied with a gloomy tone.
"Ma'am, its price would be lowered to 50,000,000 Mora at the auction. Although it's already a given, a lot of people would fight for it and eventually, it's going to reach that price again…" The saleslady replied.
"O-oh… 14 days… okay…" You said and before you turned your back, you heard someone behind you speak. But isn't the next two weeks the annual celebration of the Kamisato Family? You don't even know if you're invited. If you're not invited, then you would be able to attend the auction.
"I'll take it, here's my black card." Even the other people overheard what he said. Their eyes widened after so long, someone finally bought the shoes.
"Y-you don't have to… I can buy this if I want… I just don't think it's worth it." You looked behind and tried to fight the man who said it.
"You want it right? Consider it as a gift from me."
"As expected from the heir of the Ragnvindr family…"
"Is she Lord Diluc's girlfriend?"
"I don't think the Lord is seeing someone. If he was, it would have been reported everywhere."
"But who is she…"
"Isn't she from the L/N family?"
"This is the first time I heard of the L/N family…"
"You didn't know?! There's a lot of rumors—"
As much as you want to hear the things they would say… you were interrupted by your friends.
Ayato's eyes darkened, they lost the shine they had earlier. He was completely distraught and thorned apart. He wanted to hate you so bad but he just can't, and he doesn't even know the cause of this. Even if he tries to think of Guuji Yae, it doesn't erase the annoyance and frustration he's feeling inside.
The number of times Diluc Ragnvindr bested him.
(Maybe he's just trying to show off that he's a better gentleman than me…) Ayato thought but he knew Diluc would never do that.
(I'm just nervous about the celebration. That's all besides I'm the one who invited Y/N to this day. What was I thinking in the hospital?!) Ayato scratched his head very fast and looked at you and Diluc.
"What the hell is he doing?!" He whispered that had Itto looked at him, he was hesitating to ask Ayato because he knew he wasn't being himself.
"Thank you so much, Sir! Thank you so much, Sir!" All of the staff were repeatedly saying their gratitude to Diluc who bought the shoes.
Aside from that, they included so many freebies that are about 400,000,000 Mora but it's just a bonus considering the price of the shoes.
As the person gifted with these divine shoes, you get to choose 20 sets of accessories you wanted, colognes, 10 different designer dresses, and 1 gown that was worn by the Princess.
"The gown isn't a part of the freebie Ma'am. Lord Ragnvindr added 700,000,000 Mora to pair it with the shoes. The reason for the price was there is only one dress and one pair of shoes that exists in the world. Any form of copies or imitations would put someone’s family and future generation in jail for a lifetime." The manager of the shop said as he walked out of the authorized room.
"D-Diluc! That's… 1,690,000,000 Mora! How could you buy me such things! I- I don't deserve it…" You said to him.
He hasn't said anything since he bought the dress.
"Y/N, a lady like you deserves an elegant gown for the Kamisato Family's Annual celebration. Has Ayato not mentioned it? That you were invited?" He said while tucking your hair behind your ears.
"Ma'am, the reason the gown isn't displayed was that it's supposed to be bought together with the shoes. Even if the buyer doesn't have enough money to buy the gown and shoes together. Whoever buys the shoes will automatically be the buyer of the gown and it will be forever preserved in their family's name until it has been decided that it will be bought.
And another reason that it was this expensive was that whoever would wear the gown and shoes would be recognized as the rightful inheritor of the princess. Their name shall be written in history. This is due to the princess being infertile and failing to have a child which would mean no one would inherit anything from her." The manager added.
You read an old written will that was sealed. The letter seemed to be only revealed if the shoes and gown were bought.
Only someone as perfect as me would be able to wear this.
"Y/N you are very…—"
"Ehem!" Childe coughed between the two of you.
"Yes, you are invited L/N." Ayato coldly answered Diluc's question.
"I'll have those presents sent to your address Y/N," Diluc said while he was signing a form concerning his purchase.
"Let's go back to the carnival, shall we? It's getting late soon." Itto said trying to lower the tension and the aura Ayato was showing.
Childe immediately understood the message Itto was saying and agreed to his proposal to convince everyone.
The ride was quiet, no one spoke a word not until you reached the destination.
It was almost sunset when you arrived but this has to be the prettiest sunset you’d seen. No wonder a lot of people go into the carnival before the evening.
“We can probably eat dinner here after we watched the fireworks around 8:45 PM. In the meantime, we can enjoy some of the rides…” Childe suggested and everyone nodded.
You spent your time trying some of the scary rides but at the same time your right arm is covered in sweat due to Itto has been burying his face in your arm because he was scared.
The next thing you went is Itto test his strength with the hammer game thingy you’re not familiar with but it was embarrassing because he almost broke it.
You accompanied Childe on the claw machine, he said he wanted to go home with some toys for his siblings. You were enjoying your time but what’s odd is that Ayato is different than he was earlier, it’s like he’s avoiding you on purpose or distancing himself from everyone. You thought to yourself if the Ayato you met back in the hospital was different than the Ayato you are seeing right now.
After that, the five of you went to visit a wall that was full of locks with some initials on it. Everyone went admiring the locks, reading the names of the couples in the locks.
You read some of the names written and some of them were familiar to you because it was your classmates.
One lock caught the eye of Diluc, it was neon pink with a sakura keychain on it. Of course, it was easy to spot it due to its color. Diluc walked towards it and everyone followed him.
You were all behind him, waiting for him to speak the names of the locks.
“A + Miko <3” He spoke softly.
“A means Ayato right?” Itto said when the manager approached all of you.
“Ah, there’s a pretty lady with pink hair that did this… Neon locks are quite expensive you know? Neon colors are quite easy to spot and would mostly raise the curiosity of people.” The manager said.
“Itto! Why would you ask if A is for Ayato? Of course, A means Ayato. They’ve been lovey-dovey all around in school!” You said and faked your laugh, your voice almost broke when you said the lovey-dovey part because initially, you don’t like Guuji Yae and the things she did. While Diluc and Childe looked in the eyes of each other as you were conversing with Itto.
“I don’t think… A means Ayato…” Ayato said himself which had you and Itto question yourselves if it wasn’t him then who is that A?
“Excuse me, Sir! Is this the man that the pink-haired lady was with when she bought that lock?” Itto tapped the shoulder of the manager repeatedly, he wanted to know the answer because it should only be Ayato… not unless… Guuji Yae was hiding something.
“Pardon me but it was already the evening when I saw them around here a long time ago… I’m afraid it is not Lord Ayato who the lady was with. I’m sorry if I am prying some personal issues here…” Almost every manager and organizer of the carnival is familiar with Ayato because he is one of the honored ones.
“I believe the man is a little short…”
Ayato’s heart was starting to beat faster, he did not want to listen further but his heart really wanted to know more about the man.
“The color of his hair is…”
He was nervous… there are only two possible people that would fit the description.
“Ashy light blonde.”
He sighed in relief, he already thought of Aether but fortunately, the color of Aether’s hair is blonde.
“Albedo?” You and Itto said in unison, this had Diluc and Childe mentally face-palming themselves. Diluc didn’t hesitate but took this chance to give everyone a hint about who was it.
“You don’t think it’s Aether?” Diluc said, the moment Ayato heard his name he felt like his heart stopped beating.
“I don’t know man, Aether is fully blonde-” Itto paused before continuing because he realized something.
“You’re right… It could be Aether… the manager did say it was a long time ago and it was also the evening… He could have mistaken it as ashy light blonde…” Itto added.
“Y-yeah! But wait! I don’t think it’s Aether… isn’t he Ayaka’s girlfriend. I don’t think he would cheat on her and if it’s Albedo, we don’t see them interact in school and why would Albedo flirt with the woman of Ayato?” You argued.
You were caught off guard when the megaphone started to say something.
“Good evening everyone! We would like to announce that the fireworks are going to set off in 5 minutes. Please group in the plaza next to the carnival so you can all watch it.” With that being said, the people started to walk outside of the carnival leaving all of you with an unfinished important conversation.
“Let’s go shall we?” Diluc offered and everyone agreed.
Ayato was distraught, he was following you guys mindlessly, clenching the pastries he bought you earlier. It was unfortunate that he didn’t get to give it to you. He kept on thinking why would Albedo do something like that? His mind was clouded that he didn’t comprehend the things you stated about who was the man Guuji Yae was with.
Childe tapped on his shoulder which jolted the Ayato back to reality.
“Don’t overthink it, bro, we will get to the bottom of this. You can ask Guuji Yae about it, right? I’m pretty sure she would be honest with you.” He rubbed Ayato’s back to make him worry less about it.
“Good evening ladies and gentlemen, the fireworks will begin in 60 seconds.”
“Dammit! I’m too small to be in front!” You said when Diluc held your hand and ran off. You looked back to your other friends but your eyes were fixated on Ayato’s lilac eyes which shone brightly with the reflection of the lights.
(Is he… sad?) You whispered before you reached the front of where the fireworks were best viewed.
“Don’t worry about them Y/N… Here take my handkerchief, it’s going to be a little smokey while we watch and I don’t want you inhaling the smoke because I care about you… I-I mean you just got out of the hospital right?” Diluc said while you accept his handkerchief.
People suddenly became quiet when the first firework was lit. You looked up and watched the fireworks in the sky and smiled.
“Y/N… you are so beautiful when you smile… You should do it often.” Diluc said but you didn’t hear it clearly because he was whispering it and you were too distracted by the fireworks.
While everyone else is watching the fireworks, Ayato was looking somewhere else.
Ayato found himself in the same position again when he watched Diluc carry you in a bridal matter when you first entered the school and you got sprained. He is watching you enjoy the fireworks with Diluc.
“So Ayato… you sure you still hate Y/N?” Itto said to him when he saw where Ayato was looking.
“Excuse me, I need to do something urgent at home.” Ayato lied and walked away.
2 weeks later…
“Good evening ladies and gentlemen! We are welcoming you to the annual celebration of the Kamisato Family! I present you the heir of the Kamisato Clan, Kamisato Ayato!” The master of the ceremony said.
The event was extravagant, not even rich people would be able to enter the venue. This event was purely held with noble families, people who were born from old money.
The event has people attending from each family such as the Lawrence clan, Gundilhr clan, and other prestigious families.
The ladies were seen in gowns that are designed with rare diamonds and pearls while the gentlemen were seen in their coats that were specifically named after them. Each of the coats has its signature design that would define them.
You stepped out of your car and wondered how this night would go on.
“Lord Ayato? What brings you back here?” The manager of the love locks greeted him.
“I… I would like to buy a lock.” Ayato said.
“Is it a neon blue my Lord?” The manager said that surprised him, how does he know it would be a neon blue that Ayato would buy?
“How-” Ayato replied.
“I have something for you, my lord…” The manager went near the locks and tried to search for something that piqued the interest of Kamisato Ayato.
After a few minutes, the manager showed him something but this surprised Ayato to the extent he would think he was dreaming and wished for someone to punch him in the face. He read over and over again what was written.
“There’s no fucking way…” He muttered, the words were poorly written and it was more than 10 years ago… probably 11 or 13 years. Most importantly, the date written was his birthday.
“Kamisato Ayato + L/N Y/N”
“Our love will never falter.”

Warmth
The working title of this piece was actually “How to bathe your bird” - and I will have you know that I was entirely too tempted to leave it as such.  Follow me for more random facts that nobody asked about and even more Xiao fluff  \( ̄▽ ̄)/ warnings: none word-count: 502
Tumblr media
Xiao returns to your abode after yet another night of performing his nuo dance, covered in the remains of souls he's just put to rest. You rise from the bed to greet him, sparing no time between the moment his golden eyes meet yours and extending an offer to draw him a bath. He tilts his head to the side in slow deliberation, eventually agreeing to entertain your request. After the tub is filled with hot water and infused with qingxin flower scented bathing salts, you assist Xiao with removing his silks, take him by the hand and lead him to the basin at the side to rinse most of the dirt off, before allowing him to step inside the bathtub. He stretches his back and tired limbs, crouches down and leans against the back of the tub, warmth from the water seeping into his fatigued muscles. A few moments pass by, filled with nothing but the pleasant scent of the steam rising from the surface he is submerged under, and your appreciation of getting to see him relax in such a pure, unguarded fashion. You pour a generous amount of shampoo onto your palm, taking a seat on a low wooden stool behind where Xiao's head rests against the edge of the tub, and proceed to gently lather his hair, careful fingers untangling the unruly tresses of unevenly streaked, lustrous teal. Much to your delight, he seems to really enjoy your ministrations, surrendering himself fully into your care, unable to restrain a few barely audible moans, when you graze over a particularly sensitive spot. Once his hair is all clean and rinsed off, you switch your focus to the rest of him, taking your time with making sure to attend to every single inch of his skin with the same amount of care as you've dedicated to cleansing his locks.
He shifts ever so slightly, to allow you access as you tend to him, nuzzling into your touch every now and then, causing stray butterflies to take flight within your stomach and bringing colour into your cheeks. It takes a lot of restraint, with him all bare and pliant right before you – but knowing how spent he is and feeling the water slowly losing its heat, you will yourself into keeping things chaste. You drain the tub, reach for a towel and carefully dry him off, pausing every so often to indulge in pressing gentle pecks into places you know he's fond of getting kissed on.
Xiao hums, his voice filled with both satisfaction and sheer exhaustion, right as you finish up by wrapping your fingers around his wrist, pulling him up and into your embrace. He whispers your name in a low, raspy tone, holding onto you tightly, as the two of you make your way to the other side of the room and through the descent onto the crisp sheets of your bedding; unwilling to let go until it's time to go about your respective duties once again. ________ Masterlist

TW: Angst, blood mentions, mentions of death, mentions of ghosts/spirits, mentions of questioning a person’s right to live
Genre: Angst
Notes: Kazuha eye of Celestia au || Plane thoughts honestly || Tagging @kazukazuhas ofc <33
Tumblr media
Kazuha’s knees burned from how long he had been sat on them, his hands still clasped together as his gaze - which had long since fallen from the statue of the anemo archon who’s element he had been gifted in his vision - rested on the ground, the rain blurring his vision and mixing with the blood that was still seeping from his lips, the imprints of his teeth still visible along his bottom lip from how hard he had been biting down to push down the tears. He felt that there was no point for that now.
His hands had weakened and the only thing keeping them together was his intertwined fingers.
He was tired. Beyond that. Exhausted even didn’t cover it.
He didn’t want to sleep. He wasn’t sure when, but he had felt that he didn’t need to anymore.
There was a lot of things that he felt were different. He felt like he could feel everything more. Like his already strong relationship with the wind had become a part of him rather than something that he was just linked to. Like he was stronger, more awake, more alive.
And yet he had never felt so close to death.
Never in his life had he ever felt so hopeless and life itself had never felt so far away and his life had been riddled with reason after reason for him to feel as such. Nothing came even close.
None of this made him feel any better. Perhaps only made him feel worse; to know that his life was changing so drastically, to know that everything around him was different in a way that he didn’t understand. To know that he was lost.
He who was a wanderer, who’s life orbited around the idea of never quite knowing where he was but never quite being so lost as to not find someplace that he could call home.
Could he even call himself such anymore?
He who was too tired to make his way home? Wherever home now was? Wherever he could lay down his heart to rest was?
He’d done so much already. Too much. And he was done.
His heart hung heavy in his chest, tears burning his cheeks and hair sticking to his face, the water no longer just catching on his lashes but falling in a stream that felt endless now.
He wasn’t fond of crying. Never one to have his feelings to dampen the mood of those around him or draw concern where it was not needed.
But there was no one here now. And he had every reason to cry.
He had gone from nation to nation, spoken to every archon that he could find, made regular trips back to Sumeru to speak to the dendro archon, all in the hopes that anyone would know anything. No one ever did.
He was confused and scared. He rarely every was.
The electro vision that had descended to him time and time again still sat by his own anemo one, the scent on the wind from it morbidly familiar.
He knew whose it was. He knew who had kept sending it to him. He knew - at least now, after several conversations with the traveller and a friend that was long dead - that it was not the mistake that he had believed that it was. And yet he still hoped that it would be. That it being a mistake would explain why.
He didn’t know why.
That was all he wanted.
An explanation. Anything at all so he could know what was going on. So he wouldn’t be running from nation to nation, escaping organisation after organisation regarding something that he didn’t even understand himself.
He didn’t want another vision. He didn’t want people to look at him like he went against Celestia itself or to see gods debating his existence in their minds when he approached them. He didn’t want to be on trial in a person’s mind as they wondered if he was safe. If he was allowed to live like that was their decision to make. Like he was bound to them, any of them, in any way that mattered.
It was not the wind that would send them to him or him to them. Fate had nothing to do with their meetings.
He wanted to talk to Tomo. To talk to the ghost of his friend who he knew was never far from him. To talk to the one person that had answers but refused to give them.
He wanted to know why but no one would grant him that mercy.
Even Celestia did not smile upon him as he sat by the statue of the seven. The archons did not offer their aid and the elements did not lend him their comfort. Even the spirits did not wish to descend upon the air that surrounded him.
Only the rain kept him company and it’s cold embrace was little solace to him. It was not an embrace of comfort or reassurance. Just cold and unfeeling recognition.
Recognition of that fact that he was alone.
He didn’t want company. Not anymore. Not when the company did nothing to help his mood and not when the company wanted nothing more than to study him as if he was nothing more than just an anomaly to the nature that they knew.
Not when all he wanted was to understand.

“Lisa!” Lisa Minci, upon hearing ferocious knocking at the door, looked up sharply from her perch atop one of the desks in the Knights of Favonius’ Library. Had she not also heard the cries of her precious cutie, and spied a slightly disheveled traveler at the door frame, the smile gracing her face would have been far more malicious in intent.
Uncrossing her legs and stretching her arms out in front of her - pleased upon hearing a satisfying pop from her spine - the librarian greeted the traveler, “Ara, if it isn't my cutie! I thought that you were to remain in Sumeru for the time being.” Her eyes crinkling in the corners, “to what do we owe the lovely surprise of your presence?”
Not mincing words, or sparing any time for pleasantries, Lumine uttered, “Does this library contain any books on baby names?” If Lisa had been drinking a cup of her favorite love poem tea, she very nearly would have spat it out.

╰┈➤ BLOODSTREAM ✦ NEUVILLETTE.
Tumblr media
⟣ ──┈ · · · + synopsis ➢ Neuvillette has always avoided you when he is in heat, more like ghosted you but not this time, not when you are knocking at his doorstep to take care of him.
+
⟣ ──┈ · · · + cw ➣fem!redaer, abo dynamic,heavy marking, nipple stimulation, blood k!nk, cockwarming, knotting, piv + unprotected, monsterfucking, mention of rut, oral acts, mild dub-con; 1k word count. | blog navigation + koct’23 masterlist. |
Tumblr media
There is a rustle of rumor amongst the people in Fontaine ever since you came to Fontaine in search of work, that Monsieur Neuvilette has a separate chamber, adjacent to his main office, where he spends his time when in a rut. Some people even say that he is just a pesky knockoff of god, inhuman, a puppet and so many more just because he enacts impartial judgment devoid of any feelings and emotions. But you begged to differ. They have not seen him closely like you. They have not seen him soaking himself wet when the sky weeps. They have not seen him when he is in your embrace. Like now.
Your fingers partly cover your face leaving room for the eyes as you inhale deeply, moaning and feeling a stinging pain inside your lower belly that makes you arch your head backward with a long inhaling moan. This is perhaps the fifth time he has made you cum and just by eating you out, surlping your juices and fingering your whole. You have lost track of it since every time you feel less sane, less human. As you gradually straighten your head again, accompanied by cloudy vision, shaky breaths, and sweaty skin you see Neuvillette licking the wounds on your supple skin. They are just love bites, you remind yourself feeling the sharp end of his fangs graze along your boobline. His tongue encircles around your pebbled nipple making you moan again.
“Monsieur Neuvilette, Are you feeling better now?” you ask feeling his fangs sit along your boobline. He does not bite. He never does yet you find yourself crawling back to those evenings when he would keep you in his embrace, let his teeth touch your skin whenever he kisses you. He is cautious around you. You do not understand why he is like that even though there is no risk if he crosses the line more than that. Your relationship with the iudex is ambiguous at best, but those little moments always come back to haunt you. He has never fucked you before; sure there were intimate moments but never went to the point of sex. It is frustrating at times given he has confided so many things in you.
Neuvillette mouth pauses, hung open around your boob.He does not answer but rather poses a question.“Why did you come here again?” You recall having a need to visit him to submit some papers and also, to get some official papers signed by him. You wince as his tongue lapped over one of your wounds. “Remember. You asked for this.” He states before taking your nipple in his mouth, pulling it away by holding it with his lips. He is careful not to let his fangs touch, not to get swayed by desire.
You do not deny any of it. It is true that you came to visit him during his rut when he strictly forbade you do so. Not only you but it is forbidden to visit him in his inner chambers for a certain time span once or twice in every month. Curiosity got the best of you, and the pressure of piles of papers had you totally forgotten about this rule. Breaking rule in Fontaine is not tolerated at any cost but perhaps once the chief justice regains himself he might punish you; maybe he is already doing it.
“I know. I’m aware.” You exclaim and he holds you by your waist, curling his arms around them letting his eyes fall upon you. They seem to sparkle or maybe it is just the lightning. “I’m just a beta. There is nothing to worry about of we … if we.”
Such a naive little thing you are. You stutter to say the very thing you wanna do. It makes his stone-cold heart warm. “You know nothing. But need not worry, I’ll give you a taste of it,” he whispers in your ears before focusing on what he was doing before. Your innocence tempts his desires so much. You try to laugh it off but then he says, “The rumours, they are not just rumours. Rumours grow when some of it is at least true, won’t you agree?” He arches you a little to align his cock with your entrance. You do not resist as he pushes his cock inside you.
The tip of his cock hits deep inside you as his knot starts to mature making you shut, tears pooling at the corner of them. His palms latched around your waist and they almost covered your whole waist now. His touch is cold, slippery, and wet. Neuvillette starts to make you bob up and down his cock as his cock grows inside you. The scales on his arms which you have so longed to see before were now slowly developing. He was transitioning. You want to see him but something blocks your eyes. It is not his hands, they are on your waist. A rumor that is shaping into a reality.
You moan and whimper as you feel another orgasm approaching. You can feel his high emerging too but you can not see. Your eyes are wrapped with something but you can not focus on what it is because his cock is hitting your sweet spot with so much precision that all the pain you have endured so far is now becoming pleasurable. Hot spurs of liquid shoot inside of you while his fangs sink at the dip of your neck, biting and sucking your blood. You can feel it. The flow of your blood from your vein to his mouth. You can even hear him gulp. You think you are going to lose consciousness but you did not.
You can see him now. His true form is in full glory. “You’re mine now.”  He exclaims letting his tongue clean the blood over your neck as he twirls and swings his tail. “It will take a while for me to get back to my human form. You can rest now.” he says, guiding your head along his nape as he keeps himself busy licking those two symmetrical wounds clean. It does not hurt, nor sting. Maybe it is him who is healing it.

Love ever after
Pairing: Alhaitham x GN!Reader
Warnings: Fluff, a bit a swearing, jealous Alhaitham
Word Count: 1,369 (nice)
Tumblr media
You swore off relationships, swore off love, locked your heart away after the last relationship ended horribly. This time it was just you and only you. You moved away from your hometown and found yourself in the heart of Sumeru, accepted into the Akademiya and given a fresh new start.
It has been like this for two years now, studying, school, work at the Cafe, then home to sleep finally. Your cold heart at the bottom of your to-do list, but imagine your surprise when your path eventually crossed with the insane scribe you met when you first came to the city in a daze.
At first you hadn't realized who helped you find the apartment building, show you around town and which rooms to go through the school but as you got used to your new life it hit you and you avoided Alhaitham at all costs.
In the past he only showed up every once in a while at the Cafe you worked at, but as you grew more comfortable around his presence it seemed the more he became a thorn in your side that hid itself from removal.
Just like every other night, Alhaitham was sat in a corner reading his many books with a dinner and drink barely touched in front of him, Kaveh made a surprise appearance as he usually did.
But it seemed you and Alhaitham were sick of the blonde on this night, as you had served them drink after drink having to endure the torture of Kavehs rants. Meeting the teal and scarlet eyes often scribe you walked over to their table for hopefully the last time you gave your best customer service smile to the two roommates. "Kaveh, is there anything else I can get you tonight?"
His amber eyes met yours as he huffed. "No, I'll be taking my leave now." Dramatic as always the blonde strode out of your work with a certain pout.
The silver haired man made no attempt to thank you but you didn't need it so you walked back to the kitchen to keep cooking and serving other customers. The night drew to a slow pace as all the students and citizens resigned for the night.
You finally made your way to Alhaithams table to clear away the now empty plate of food. "I'm surprised you ate it after the time Kaveh took up."
"I took bites between his rants." Finally looking up from the book he met your eyes. "His projects weren't too uninteresting, of course I already knew about them being that-"
"You are The Scribe." You interrupted teasingly. "Yes yes, all hail the almighty Scribe of the Akademiya." With that you turned and took his dishes to the kitchen to wash, he'd be here until closing to finish his book, then you'd go your separate way as always.
When you finished everything and were closing up you spotted the silver haired man waiting outside. He claimed to be so unpredictable, yet you knew this was incorrect as you tracked his movements every night in the Cafe. "Did you get a lot of reading done?" You asked as you approached him.
"I tuned out Kaveh so yes actually." Standing up from where he was leaning up against the building you allowed him to approach you. This was routine, he'd bid you a good night and be on his way.
"Good for you." Securing your bag that held your uniform you started to walk past you. "Good night!" You were used to the silent walk home yet footsteps followed you.
"How are your studies going?" This surprised you, he never walked you home he never asked about what you did in school.
“They are fine, why so interested suddenly?” Looking at him his face was unreadable, like usual but there was something different about his eyes. “I am working on a large project with another student, we are meeting up tomorrow to work on it.”
He was silent for a moment before he spoke up. “Are they competent enough to give you a passing grade?” Why was he so worried about your grades now?
“No, I don’t think so. His grades-”
“His?” Alhaitham interrupted as he stopped walking right outside of your apartment building.
“Yes? Is there a problem?” What was with him? “Haitham, what has gotten into you, are you in work mode? Do you need something from me as a student?” When he said nothing and only stared at you you fished out your keys from your bag and walked to the front door. “See you later.”
The next day after getting ready for a day out with your school partner you were met with the tall and broad chest of a certain Scribe. “Haitham, what the hell? Don’t you have papers to review?” Rubbing your nose you met his eyes, though instead of his normal deadpan look there was something more stirring.
“Where are you going, it’s too early for you and school hasn’t started for your Darshan.” What the hell was his attitude?
“Did you wake up in Kavehs bed or did you skip your coffee?” Pushing past him you started to walk into the city, agreeing to meet with your partner outside of the cafe. Thankfully he didn’t follow you and your work got along swimmingly, stopping through Gandharva Ville for a snack.
When you got back to the city and got to work you noticed the normal table that held the roommates only had the blonde.
“What did you do to Alhaitham? He got home and he was just ranting and raving and was stomping all over the house.” Kaveh huffed as he leaned against his arm. “Normally I piss him off, you did something.”
“Kaveh, I literally have no idea. Last night he was acting weird and asked about my studies, then when I brought up that project I told you about last time, he got all pissy.” With a huff you balanced your tray on your hip as the two of you started to think.
Why would he get mad about you and your partner, the two of you only partnered up because his backed out of the Akademiya at the last minute and you just wanted to help.
“Wait, hold on. Did you tell him about your partner in the project?” Kavehs red eyes shot open quickly as he stared at you.
“Well yeah of course I did, why wouldn’t I?” Like a Sumter Beast the realization hit you. “Holy shit!” Tossing your tray on the table you ran out of the cafe quickly. It would take you a few minutes to get to his office but running at a full sprint shouldn’t take long.
Dodging people left and right you ran right into his office where you knew he would be, his silver hair the only thing you could see over his obnoxious book, he didn’t even grace you with a glance. “Yes?”
“You’re jealous!” You exclaimed while the laugh you had been trying to hold bubbled to the surface as you watched his body go rigid. Instead of facing you he only turned in his chair away from you. “Haitham, are you seriously jealous of my school partner?” Walking around his desk you pushed the book down to see his face. You were met with a pleasant pink hit of blush on the apples of his cheeks. He didn’t speak like you thought he would, he just refused to meet your eyes as he looked away. “As a man of truth isn’t it important to face the facts?”
This time he did speak. “You don’t need him to finish your project. I will help you.” Was he serious? He wasn’t even part of your Darshan! “I know that face, despite not being part of your Darshan I happen to know a lot about the topic of your project.”
“Of course the all mighty Scribe does!” Barking out a laugh you held your stomach, when you saw a smile crack his ever stoic face you knew that you were falling for him in a way you swore you would never do.
“We start tonight, I need a reason to be away from Kaveh.”
