Well Met By Moonlight Part 3

Hi!! So I can't link to part 2 (well I can, but that whole section remains lost) at the moment because the damn post is broke and can't be edited and according the belabored staff it was an issue for a lot of people that posted during that seven hour window when the tags were down last Thursday. So they have a shit ton of help tickets to wade through, though they have assured me they are looking into it.

But as soon as they have it figured out I will link back to the original post, until then I'll link the fixed reposted version for now and apologize profusely for the fuck up.

I have the whole back story plotted out for what happened and why, I'm just not sure where the story is going to go to get to those reveals. However this means you get enjoy the ride with me.

So without further ado, Steve gets his man vampire.

Steve turned to Robin. “Telling you to leave, too isn’t going to work, is it?” he asked with a sigh.

She grinned at him. “Nope!”

He turned to Eddie who had been watching the whole interaction with a curious tilt to his head. Steve thought he looked like a puppy like that. Big brown eyes, adorable head tilt, the hair being a stand-in for floppy ears...

Puppy.

He was also one hundred percent sure that Eddie would have been offended by the comparison.

“What’s got you smiling like that, sweetheart?” Eddie asked.

“You,” Steve replied truthfully.

Robin faked retching. “Oh my god, I’m going to gag on the absolute sap oozing off the both of you.”

Steve blushed, but Eddie wagged his eyebrows suggestively.

“That’s it,” Robin said, throwing her arms in the air. “I’m out of here. Steve, don’t die. Eddie, you hurt my best friend and not even all the vampires in the coven and all the wolves in this pack would be able to stop me from ripping you to pieces, do you understand?”

Eddie smiled with just his lips, his eyes crinkling with mirth. “I read you loud and clear.”

Robin nodded and then marched back into the trees.

Suddenly Steve could feel the importance of it just being the two of them.

He cleared his throat and scratched his cheek nervously. “I wanted to thank you for the rescue. I was so sure I was going to die that night.”

Eddie grinned, shoving his hands into the pockets of his leather jacket. “I’m glad Uncle Wayne sent me.”

Steve felt his insides turn cold. “Oh. You only came to my rescue because Wayne sent you?”

Eddie cocked his head to the side thoughtfully as he took in the question. “Sweetheart, I think you misunderstand something. Rescuing you was an obligation to the pack leader, loyalty to my uncle and maker, and a sign of my love and devotion for you. I don’t need to have a single reason. I’m allowed multiple reasons for doing something.” He wagged his eyebrows suggestively. “For doing you.”

Steve snorted, but the ice was beginning to melt in his gut. Eddie took a step closer and then another when Steve didn’t flinch or take a step back. Soon they were inches from each other.

“I am worried,” Eddie murmured gently. “What kind of trouble a turned vampire and a werewolf alpha would cause in a town that is already balanced on the edge of a knife.”

Steve nodded, carefully taking Eddie’s face into his hands. “I’m worried too. But I think we’re going to need band together not just turned vampires like you and your uncle and my pack, but the coven, too. What happened to me was just the tip of the iceberg and the new sheriff seems shockingly anti-supernatural.”

Eddie pursed his lips and nodded. “God, do you know how much I’ve wanted to stand here with you like this? To have you see me?”

Steve brought their foreheads together. “I did see you, Eds. I did. But I wasn’t the alpha then and you were a mere mortal.”

Eddie squeezed his eyes shut and let out a shuddering breath. “It’s why I asked Wayne to change me, you know. Because if Hopper was afraid of him then made if he made me, Hopper would have to let me near you.”

“Oh, darling...” Steve murmured. “I wish you didn’t have to do that, but I don’t think your uncle would have appreciated me turning you into a werewolf, so...”

Eddie threw back his head a laugh. “Oh god! The look on his face would have been priceless. I almost wish I had waited until I was twenty-one to ask, just for that reason.”

Steve smiled. “Yes, but then it would have been Wayne that rescued me and I wouldn’t gotten to see how sexy you are when you chase your prey.”

Eddie’s face transformed under the feral grin that spread over his features. “You get a little hot and bothered watching me defend you, baby?”

Steve bit his bottom lip and shook his head.

“No?” Eddie asked tilting his head to side, still grinning from ear to ear.

“Yeah...” Steve said, dragging the word out slowly. “To say I was a little hot and bothered would be a little like calling a tornado a gentle breeze.”

Eddie laughed and turned his head away, pulling gently out of Steve’s hands. He looked back at Steve who now shared his dopey grin. “And people in this town call me the menace.”

Steve laughed too. “I just get to hide my weirdness under the guise of being a werewolf.”

“I’d really like to kiss you now,” Eddie murmured.

Steve stepped into his space, their chests nearly touching. “I was wondering when you were going ask.”

Eddie chuckled and tangled his hands into Steve’s hair, drawing their faces close. Their lips were a literal breath away when Eddie stopped, just taking in the mingling of their air as they were already panting.

Steve closed the remaining distance and finally, finally they were kissing. It lit every nerve ending in Steve’s body up like a firework. He never knew kissing could feel like this. He gripped the back of Eddie’s leather jacket and held on for dear life.

“Wow.” Eddie felt like he had been forced to run the mile in gym. He couldn’t breath, his heart was beating erratically, and every muscle burned. It was amazing. He dived back in and kissed Steve again. He couldn’t get enough.

Steve had never felt like this in his life. It was deep and sensual and everything he had been told growing up that love should be. And now he was standing on the edge of precipice waiting for that last gust of wind to knock him over the cliff and into Eddie’s strong arms.

“Fuck, Eds,” he breathed when they stopped for breath. “You smell, taste, and feel amazing. God, I don’t want to stop.”

Eddie let out a growl, deep from his throat. “I know, baby. I know. But if we don’t your entire pack is going to get an eyeful.”

Steve chuckled. “Nudity isn’t a problem with packs. All the shifting makes it hard on clothes.”

Eddie’s growl turned into groan. “You can’t just say shit like that when my dick is that hard. It’s gone soft thinking about seeing Murray or Hopper naked.”

Steve laugh startled out of him. “Yeah, I could see that having an effect. I do know a place we could be alone if you wanted.”

Eddie smiled. “I like the way you think, sweetheart.”

Steve let out an ear piercing whistle and a large black, shaggy wolf came running up through the tree line. The wolf sat down and wagged its tail happily.

Steve laughed. “I figured it would be you. You’re on sentry duty until I get back at dawn. I’m going to Skull Rock.”

“You got it, alpha,” the black wolf said his voice thick with a barely contained giggle.

Steve knelt down and they hugged each other with their necks, allowing their scents to mingle.

“I’m glad you’re still the alpha,” the wolf whispered.

Steve stood up. “I will protect this pack with everything in my power. I promise you that.”

The wolf nodded solemnly.

Steve turned to Eddie. “Come on. I’ll race you to Skull Rock.”

Eddie raised an eyebrow, but before he retort, Steve had shifted and was sprinting in the direction of the local landmark.

The wolf let out a breathy laugh that only wolves could make. “You better start flapping those wings, lover boy. Otherwise Steve will beat you.”

Eddie shook his head and took flight, transforming as he leapt into the air.

Eddie managed to barely pull out a win by tackling Steve right before the rock out cropping and rolled to the finish line.

Steve ended up on top of the vampire fully human with bright laugh bubbling from his lips. “You cheated.”

Eddie grinned. “Of course I did. It’s the only way to win, babe.”

“It’s a good thing you’re so cute.”

Eddie hummed, his hands roaming over Steve’s bare skin, calloused fingers catching on the smooth expanse.

“Feels good,” Steve murmured, nosing Eddie’s throat.

Eddie’s hands continued their trek down his back, to cup his ass. “You feel amazing, sweetheart. How did I get so lucky?”

Steve gasped, grinding down into Eddie’s hips. “I’m the lucky one. I never thought I would find someone who gets me the way you do.”

Eddie huffed out a laugh. “You werewolves go fast, don’t you?”

“We have to,” Steve murmured. “We might live longer than humans, but we don’t live nearly as long as you vampires do. If we don’t move fast we might lose a chance to breed and that would hurt the pack in the long run.”

Eddie’s expression softened. “I’m sorry, babe. I wasn’t thinking when I said that. Are you going to have to breed with someone as the alpha?”

Steve buried his head deeper into Eddie’s neck. “I don’t want to. I want the Harrington line to die with me. But as the alpha I might have to.”

Eddie’s hands went back to roaming over Steve’s skin, this time to comfort. “What made you decide to go for the alpha position after Hopper was declared dead?”

Steve raised his head. “Because I looked at the other options and knew that if I didn’t, the pack would be stuck in the old ways and people like Carver would kill us all.” He gave Eddie a peck on the lips. “Would you want to be in a pack under Ted Wheeler or Murray Bauman?”

“Wait,” Eddie said raising both eyebrows in surprise, “those were your two options ultra-conservative Ted Wheeler or super conspiracy nut Murray Bauman?”

Steve nodded. “Yeah. It was insane.”

“What about Derek Sinclair or oh...” Eddie’s brain finally caught up to his mouth. “Oh shit. It was literally you or the old guard, wasn’t it?”

“Yeah,” Steve said. “And then when Joyce got supplanted by Nancy as alpha female, her and Murray conspired to bring Hopper back so that things could go back to the way things were before.”

“That’s messed up,” Eddie said. “Could you banish them for that?”

Steve sighed, rolling off Eddie to lie next to him on the ground. “I’ve thought about it a lot, I won’t lie. But I worry how Jonathan and Will are going to react to their own mother getting banished. Would I end up having to banish them too? Could I split up a family like that? Would they willingly go with her?”

“That’s a lot to think about,” Eddie agreed, rolling over on his side and propping his head up by his elbow. “Especially for someone so young.”

“I’m not a fan of Billy Hargrove, the racist, homophobic asshole that he is,” Steve said, “but he is the reason I tried for the alpha role in the first place. If he could take over the coven at the young age of eighteen, then I could take over the pack at the tender age of nineteen.”

“Wayne told me that the amount of supe on supe violence has gone down since you took over,” Eddie said. “The coven respects the pack and the pack respects the coven.”

Steve nodded. “I still wouldn’t mind having outside voices from the pack. The echo chamber has gotten so loud that we get bullshit like the pack tearing apart a vampire that wandered into the encampment instead of helping him or accepting his help, in the case of you rescuing me.”

Eddie nodded. “It’s that suspicion that breeds contempt and allows people like Jason Carver to stir up the town against its supernatural founders.”

Steve sighed. “I worry about the undercurrent of distrust that’s been building for god knows how long.”

“Let me help you forget about it for awhile, baby,” Eddie murmured.

A shiver ran down Steve’s spine in anticipation. “Yes, please.”

Eddie leaned for a kiss and then pulled Steve back over on him.

rlly enjoys knowing he is considered one of the "well known" slashers

honestly he feels threatened by danny johnson from DBD because when u search ghostface a lot of content surrounding him pops up a long with stu and billy

billy wants everyone to know he’s the ghostface

he loves the fame basically

I do get the feeling he hates the image ghostface has tho

like the "thirst traps"

he's just the type of guy who calls people "posers" and "fake fans"

so that rily irritates him

if you know a lot about slashers/ghost face he's chill

he likes his fandom but there's definitely outliers with the people who know ghostface but not who's behind the mask

he wants the notoriety

LOVES HIS FANDOM

he loves being worshipped by his fandom

all compliments, all fanart, all of it he loves

teases Billy sometimes about the posts

Some Kind of Disaster - this is actually one of my favorites and I've reread the whole thing more than once even though it's a mildly long series (although tbf I've reread longer). instead of outright dying at sanctuary Roy is just grievously injured and Jason runs to his side the moment he hears and refuses to leave. there's a lot of angst. one of the fics is smutty; halfway through the series Roy discovers Lian exists and that's where the plot really kicks in. so good

I feel like fandom activism has caused so, so many brains to rot.

How in the world is writing more fics featuring non-white characters going to show anything to the people behind End OTW Racism? And why in the world should I have an obligation to write it?

I write fics because I enjoy writing and immediately sharing with an audience, because I like characters someone else came up with, because constructing a little space for my creativity in fics gives me far less stress than thinking about creating original novels. It's not my job, and it's certainly not activism.

This idea that people should at least write one or two fics about characters of color because it shows they're not racist or because, somewhat, this stuff fights fandom racism, is absolutely unhinged.

I was in a fandom with a main character of color, and I had to leave because people were constantly at each other's throats and harassing one another because writing this character in any way would get you called a racist. He bottoms? Racist. He tops? Racist. He's described with his hair cut this way? Racist. He's vegetarian? Racist. He's not vegetarian? Racist. Literally you couldn't fucking win because the fandom split in two major groups at its beginning, and since then, if you write him in a certain way, you'll have one side accuse you of being racist, and if you write him this other way, it's gonna be the other side who accuses you! I got rape threats over this shit!

This is insanity! I work a shitload of hours a week and come to fandom to relax, reblog stupid posts, retweet porn drawings, listen to the worst Spotify playlists known to mankind, and share the fics I spend too much time working on.

Why the fuck should I treat fandom like it's a cause I should give my life to? I don't want to eat my vegetables because the vegetable you're presenting me with is unseasoned iceberg lettuce: it doesn't interest me, it doesn't have a flavor I'm seeking, and it holds no nutritional value whatsoever.

Stop pretending that things can be changed by writing more fics about that Star Wars character or that set of Marvel movies, because you know damn well they won't: you'll just get harassed more, and when you'll delete/orphan all your fics because just the idea of logging into Ao3 will make you want to anxiety puke, the people who supported all these movements will go to their Tumblrs and Twitters and whatever other socials the hip kids use and write shit like "Thank god that horrible racist left! People like them should never dare to write fics about POC ever again! Whoever harassed them out of the fandom did the right thing."

It’s funny how you just made the post on how your perception has evolved because I literally deleted tumblr app today and continued reading The Law and The Promise and came to the same epiphany. None of Neville’s books shows how limitless we are apart from that one (to be fair, it’s just the tip of the iceberg). That is his last book as far as I’m aware, which says a lot . This book literally has a success story of a woman (lives in San Francisco) who imagined herself to be in her daughters home (in England) and imagined seeing her daughter. Her daughter turned to her, made eye contact and looked frightened and then she snapped out of the “imaginary” scene. Then the mum got a letter like a week later telling her that her daughter had seen her and she thought she was dead and had seen a ghost so her husband told her to send a letter to her mum straight away. Same day and time the mum imagined herself in her daughters home, the daughter had physically seen her there too. I never knew Neville spoke of these limitless acts but he truly evolved and so have you. He even writes about how imagination is not only within but without too and that they’re not separate and that imagination (consciousness/awareness) is “God” and all things exist because of imagination (consciousness /awareness). Whatever we become aware of we make real then and there. If only people would persist in its reality regardless of what seems otherwise, would they experience the full expression of it. There’s successes in that book that show you people who have been in the face of what seemed like they would never get their desires but returned to their imagination and had their desire fully expressed then and there.

I completely agree with you and everything you said. It's absolutely wild to me how so many people who claim to be loyal followers of Neville's teachings distort his work out of shape and spread around misinformation which others blindly accept on their journey.

What we truly are as awareness is indescribable, incomparable, infinite, and simply unmatched. We are the very source of creation itself, and it's such an incredibly beautiful realization to come to after drowning in a deep, endless sea full of ignorant misinformation for so long.

I'm grateful that I came to this realization of the true self and I was able to evolve in my beliefs just as Neville evolved on his journey. It's a beautiful metamorphosis to me.

I have heard that story about the daughter freaking out when her mother appeared to her out of nowhere and it never fails to amaze me every time I am reminded of it. All things are possible and that's only the tip of the iceberg as you said.

There was also a story from this one guy where Neville was once in two places at once which freaked the guy out and he couldn't understand how that was possible. I was floored when I first read about all of this and I thought of how funny that one guy's reactions must have been at the time.

Hii I’ve stumbled across a few of your posts and haven’t even gleaned the tip of the iceberg that is your blog, but I would love to hear a more fleshed version of your Bakugo with AFO post (if you have more that you wanted to share), because that is such a cool concept???

Like, it’s such a nice way to address the symbiotic nature of the two quirks + Bakugo’s relationship with Midoriya at the same time, and there’s also so much to explore in terms of the repercussions of that (not just the symbolism of it, but also the parts you’ve mentioned like what that would mean for people who’ve had their quirks stolen, how they will deal with all the stockpiled quirks, or even on a wider scale of how the media would react if AFO/OFA is leaked/ revealed to the public).

Just imagine the amount of continued exploration in terms of the nature of quirks v nurture of society, because AFO/OFA has so far been (imo) one of the few evidence that quirks carry personality, which is so awesome because it’s like saying a quirk literally holds a part of you through the vestiges while demolishing this idea through basically the entire plot of the manga loll. (To phrase it slightly better, the manga is sort of reaching the conclusion that a quirk is a part of you and you only, without being all of you, and that it’s exactly what the name says it is: a quirk.)

The thing I don’t really like about this conclusion is the blatant disregard for the quirkless community, which was the initial point of discussion and social commentary in bnha. This is why I think Bakugo being given AFO would be great fuel for the debate of should we be allowed to mess with the quirks we are given.

As in, who gets to decide? Who gets to play god? How will it be regulated? Should it even be regulated? How do you do all that without dehumanising Bakugo the same way society dehumanised pro heroes? (Bonus points for linking this to real life because I’m all for social commentary/ reflections in fictional media)

And then on a personal level, what will it take for Bakugo to be able to control AFO’s personality (hello, eye symbolism + name symbolism) within the quirk? How will All Might handle this info? How does this all relate to the conflict of children in war? The development of the league of villains’ character plots (esp Tomura’s)?

I have a lot of questions with very few answers loll, I would love to hear your thoughts on this!!

Gosh, I am so sorry for taking forever to answer this. But you ask so many good questions! And I think this is actually a pretty good time, after 419.

I guess where I stand with the idea now is still somewhat ambiguous. All for One as a power is too big and interesting to go away--or at least, if it did go away, it would speak volumes. It feels like an almost elemental, fundamental, and even spiritual power, something beyond the man himself. So I'm still wondering about its future.

While a lot of other characters' narratives, including Katsuki's, are about this "nature of quirks vs. nurture," with the original Japanese name for quirks literally meaning "individuality" ("個性" or "kosei"), All for One (the power) oddly represents a lack of individuality. Like a shapeshifter with no form of its own. With that in mind, might we actually compare it to quirklessness? This is worth considering if we're trying to guess who might be a fitting person to inherit it.

I'm at least certain that Tenko shouldn't keep it, since he was literally groomed for it, to be a vessel. For him it represents a lack of individuality in the absolute worst way: a lack of agency, and an identity determined by/in the image of someone else since before even the moment of conception. Actually, as of 419, it seems like if there is any echo of him left after being possessed again, Tenko needs to get rid of the quirk. If he is able to regain control for even a second, the most logical action he can take to save himself and do something of his own free will for once, is to pass the quirk on to someone else.

What I'm a little less certain about is who should get it. On the one hand, Katsuki has a very strong sense of self, especially now. As I said before, this would make him an interesting candidate because he wouldn't want AFO, and thus wouldn't use it for his own gain, on principle. However...

In between now and when I wrote that little post, the future of One for All has also become ambiguous. Does Tenko have it even though All for One does not? (because of Izuku's intent in passing it on?) I've wondered for a long time what would happen if OFA and AFO combined. Would they become more than the sum of their parts, creating something new? Maybe something that can connect with other people and build them up? Perhaps it would develop some aspect of agency that takes away its capacity to exploit people. I'm just speculating...

And I haven't wanted to talk about it, but I'm ambivalent about Izuku becoming quirkiness again. As in, I think Horikoshi could pull it off either way. So this is just an idea:

Izuku could also be a candidate for AFO because he lacks a sense of self, in his own way, as I've gone into before. At best, this means a lack of an ego, the opposite of AFO's personality. In AFO's words, Izuku is the boy born with nothing, who now has less than nothing. There's also a nice symmetry to this idea: Izuku giving OFA to Tenko, then Tenko giving AFO to Izuku. It would be interesting to see what the power would be like in the hands of its antithesis.

But like I said, if you ignore AFO's own selfish interpretation of the power as a tool for domination and a sign of his natural superiority, its essence is a lot more comparable to quirklessness. Just as one's quirk does not encompass one's entire self even though it is unique to them, so too does the quirk have potential beyond its user's point of view. It is potentially ideal for someone who wouldn't make it a part of who they are or use it to enforce their desires, and this applies to both Izuku and Katsuki.

The final thing to mention from your question is the possibility that whoever received AFO would have to deal with overcoming his possession. Maybe this is too much for one person to handle. Maybe Katsuki plays into this either way.

i listen to SO MUCH MUSIC!!!!! it depends on what im wrting tbh but i just queue up a bunch of songs in my liked playlist and write and write until it ends or im no longer on that flow. and well my music taste is an absolute mess so there isnt any one definitive band or genre that does it for me (i only pay attention Sometimes) but i suppose artists like mitski and queen would be a decent summary of my taste 😅

50) How did you get into reading and/or writing fanfiction?

gravity falls, no stop. the first one that ever piqued my interest was versability (originally on ff.net me thinks) and god damn it HOOKED ME!!!! gravity falls was already getting me up but wow that just got me SO MUCH HIGHER. i have a few authors i started binge reading like thesnadger and pinesinthewoods, i started extracting fics from reccs from tumblr artists, soon discovered ao3, and never looked back. and as for writing fic,,,,, well frankly it was the search for the cure’s original form that got me GOING!!!! it originally had crappy ocs as the forefronters but i soon changed that lmao (im definitely not saying theyre bad in general, just those… no) and i wrote So Much For It on my notes app. i didnt realize i culd actually show people until way later, in which i did, and realized that it could actually be better. thats why i reversed back to part one, made the story a part two, scapped the ocs, and…now we’re here. i still love it and gravity falls, i dont really show it here anymore. i really should, man. i need to write for them again!!!! it still excites me!!!! and the prose that im weaving now,,,, id DEMOLISH THE GAME!!!!!!! :)

okay now its time for the long story. so a super super long time ago for a post i cant even remember (i really wanna find it 😭😭) i for someone reason went on a tangent about the titanic. i had just read this fic called sinking into the sea which was tbh VERY GOOD (and i would read it again fr fr ) but at the time, i was kinda bummed that aziraphale and crowley never actually Interacted when i had expected. aziraphale didnt even know crowley was there!!! it left me feeling melancholy, and realizing that all of the titanic fics ive ate up to that point didnt HIT hit the spot (i didnt find this after this realization, but again, theyre not even on the boat 🤧) so i was feeling a bit incomplete. i started ranting and ranting it was a wholeee wall of a text of what I would do with a titanic story and i realized oh wait i can Do Something with this because i haev free will and actual (somewhat) coherent skill. pepper jumped on the wagon, REALLY REALLY encouraged which i cant thank enough for, and….we’re here. its brewing. i had a very large interest in the titanic for a long time before this tbh, so being able to insert it into The Interest just JUMPSTARTED my brain and it still does to this day. now for the plot….

its 2020, a year after the apocalypse (no pandemic). anathema, newt, brian, crowley, and aziraphale have been assigned to plan adam’s 12th birthday party—they shenanigan, as you do. on the day of the party (adam’s birthday) anathema and newt find a chest in jasmine cottage’s attic full of titanic relics, including a pack of polaroid photos (handheld cameras did indeed exist in 1912, i checked !) which kinda might sort of have a photo of aziraphale and crowley!?!?! it was sent to them about six months before. but after the whole Second Volume fiasco, anathema just sort of wrote it off in that way and Hid It. but newt was curious, he found it, and god it was writtent his way wasnt it. (well, not by the nutter they were thinking of actually). anathema confronts them about itsoon after, and they all sit down to hear the story of the titanic in a sort of rose dawson beat. then its 1912—50ish years since the holy water incident and almost a century since the resurrectionists disaster. aziraphale has been assigned to take this trip to new york for Some Reason (we found out why later) and happened to invite crowley to come along to attempt to make amends after Allat (he really does feel bad, but he will NOT do the holy water thing yet </3) shit occurs, but history atlarge will not be rewritten. it does change their story, though. adding a sprinkle of interest in the device family line. agnes prophec(y)(ies), dancing on deck under the stars, playing cards with humans and winning by a Lot, aziraphale’s artistic skills are put to use at one point—ughghgufhits just so DEAR TO ME!!!!! and of course the conflict will come later, especially considering the religious connections to the titanic sinking—“not even God can sink this ship” type conversation 🥰 aziraphale can and will be made uncomfortable. its for the character development dont worry about it. i even have a playlist for this fic (it sorted by the way the tone shifts thru the story, some songs are silly but they had to stay). pep has also made some song covers to some of the songs that ive heavily connected to the fic and I REALLY FUCKING LIKED. LIKE A LOT. THEYRE AMAZING YOU SHOULD LISTEN IF YOU WANT TO!!!!

the point of all this is that i like titanic fics and im trying to throw my hat in the ring even if its just for me and my friend 🔥🔥 because while others have fed me, i havent seen ones that have documented like Every Single Day on the titanic that aziraphale and crowley would theoretically have as well as developing aziraphale and crowley’s relationship while taking into account whats happened before (insert the story into a part of the timeline seamlessly i think thats how i’d describe) AS WELL AS connecting the reason why the titanic was such a freak tragedy and how the world is not fucking fair instead of just “oh whoops the thing sank 😞” i want NITTY GRITTY DETAIL!!!!!! oh fuck i hit 400k words. !! ??

big ol genramble below ♥️

wow!! it's super weird seeing it recorded like this. hasn't even been a year of posting! i've been writing fanfic and reading fanfic for YEARS (started around 2016?) but i didn't get out of my lurker seat and make an account until sepetember of 2022 i believe. i started writing 01746 in late july when i had a MASSIVE chunk of free time, which is where over half of this word count came from. and there are a few random oneshots i posted that i actually wrote back in like. april of 2022 or something random like that. so yes, it isn't like i sat down in september, fresh into the fandom, fresh into writing fanfic or writing in general, and threw up 400k. i'm absolutely insane actually so this shit just kinda happened. i'll probably miss 500k because i don't check my stats much so i'm getting all the internal celebration out now, lmao

nothing will stop me from writing, but i have to thank everyone who encouraged me to continue immensely. sure, i've got a lot of wacky ideas of my own, but if it weren't for my buddies here on tumblr, ao3, and the villain server, i don't think over half these fics would even exist. and i think my writing quality has improved as well!! ya'll give me so much encouragement and validation, it is insane. i absolutely did not expect to find so many friends and likeminded people who genuinely enjoy my stories (and my original character??) and continue to support me throughout all my niche phases. (and god knows what niche phases are next...)

that being said. i have SO MANY wips lying around. some days i just sit there in an unproductive slump because i'm so worried i'll never be able to finish all the projects in my head. 400k is baffling to me because everything on my ao3 dash feels like the very tip of the iceberg. we haven't even scratched the surface of the stories i wanna get out there. not even close.

well. anyway. one last thanks to everyone who's supported me in any way!! you are all so so lovely. i'm not gonna tag everyone because. god. that'd be like. almost everyone i follow! XD

it is time. i have my computer. let's do this.

When I started shipping it, if I did: I would love to say that I have been a franmaya shipper from day 1. I really would. But, honestly, in game, there isn't much there. I do absolutely eat up all of their in-game interactions, but I didn't see the potential of them as a ship until I joined Tumblr (~sept. 2021) and was delightedly enlightened.

My thoughts: Y'all know I could talk about franmaya all day and all night if I could. I’ve said it once, and I’ll say it again. The parallels. The potential chemistry. Capcom is foolish for not letting them at least end up as FRIENDS. Come one. Let us have this one.

What makes me happy about them: I think that Maya’s lightheartedness and Franziska’s professionalism compliment each other perfectly. I think that Franziska could do to lighten up a bit and Maya could do to buckle down a bit. I also think that post-AA3, Franziska has learned a lot to let people be themselves, and Maya is the perfect example of someone who is unabashedly themselves. It’s simply *chef’s kiss*.

What makes me sad about them: Oh babe. The poor girls are BAD at acknowledging their trauma. If they got together, they’d have to go through some serious therapy before they would be willing to be open with each other about everything. Maya is open with Phoenix about her stress and inner turmoil regarding becoming head of the Fey clan, but that little snippet is just the tip of the iceberg. (Note: I haven’t played SOJ yet so perhaps she acknowledges it in the future? Knowing Capcom, probs not). And god knows Franziska would rather be caught dead than admit she needs help handling her feelings. It would be a very emotionally closed off relationship if they didn’t get help.

Things done in fanfic that annoys me: I haven’t read a ton of franmaya fics (just cause I haven’t been able to find a ton of them, but thank you to everyone who has sent me them in the past!) but in general, I hate it when Maya is portrayed as stupid or naïve. That girl has seen some shit. She worked closely with a lawyer for a number of years. It’s incredibly unrealistic and frustrating for Maya to be a stupid girl. Come on now.

Things I look for in fanfic: God, I’m a sucker for soft feelings-confessions fics. I love it when Franziska is forced to face the music and buckle down to admit some feelings. I love it when Maya giggles and gives Franziska her first kiss. IT’S ALL SO GOOD. I read this one fic where Maya helps Franziska dye her hair over the years (whichever one of you mutuals who sent it to me should link it below) but by god it was the perfect franmaya fic.

Who I’d be comfortable them ending up with, if not each other: I’ve seen some Franziska+Ema ship stuff out there, and while I don’t actively ship them, I’m certainly not against it. As I type this, maybe I think Maya+Ema wouldn’t be a bad pairing either? So, Ema gets two girlfriends. Three if you count Kay.

My happily ever after for them: Franziska takes a job as the head of Interpol and Maya leaves the Fey cult clan and they get to travel around together and spoil Pearls and Trucy and spill tea about all their friends. And also make fun of Edgeworth. Obviously. I am such a “franmaya lesbian aunts who induce the gift rapture on holidays” truther and I’ll say it until the day I die.

Who is the big spoon/little spoon: They switch. They both like to be the big spoon and then pout when they’ve been big-spooning for too long. Truthfully, their favorite cuddling position is Maya snuggled up to Franziska’s side with Franziska’s arm slumped over Maya. You know the one.

What is their favorite non-sexual activity: Fighting. Maya goes and does research of some really weird and niche conspiracy theory, learning everything there is to know about said conspiracy theory, crafts perfectly airtight arguments about these nonsense subjects, and then pops into Franziska’s office like “hey babe. did you know we’re actually living at the center of the Earth encased a technological troposphere with false climate control and day/night cycles.” Franziska, despite her best efforts and her numerous years picking apart arguments, never stands a chance.
