So… On the Special Ops: Lioness Original Soundtrack, the last title is To The Afterlife 👀 What does this mean… From the title and the piece itself, it seems that a) someone definitely made it out alive (?), but also b) someone might be dead, or at least close to death (so they are at the stage of To The Afterlife)

This piece could also be used as the team and Cruz & Aaliyah “marching into the final battle” without knowing that Aaliyah’s fiancé and family guards found out about them and Cruz’s identity?! The female hymning-like singing really adds to the intensity and gives a huge “doomed but we march anyways” vibe with a hint of hope (the afterlife). I don’t know Arabic, so not sure what she actually sings. Bet it means something.

Anyways, my delusional brain while listening to this piece is painting me the picture of- Cruz with blood and bruises all over her somehow managed to escape with Aaliyah who’s also shaken up by everything. Turns out Aaliyah indeed had suspicions of Cruz and even though she didn’t know the details of it, she bet on their feelings for each other are real. She also used Cruz to get out of her family’s tight control. They confessed it to each other (off the transmitter) right before the big ceremony started. This piece comes on as they drove into the desert sunset together. A missile was launched, there were gun shots, fire and smokes. They barely escaped themselves and they had no idea if anyone’s survived. Cruz also lost all contacts with her team even before everything went south. No words were said between Aaliyah and Cruz. They made eye contact with tired but knowing looks and a little reassured smile to each other. They both stared ahead dully but also with hope to the unpredictable future. Cruz started the car, and off they go, on the way to a new beginning both Aaliyah and Cruz once deemed as only possible in the afterlife. Boom. To The Afterlife. 👊🏼

I started Buddy Daddies thinking it was just going to be a cute anime about two assassins taking care of a little girl, and that it would be so funny. It IS cute and funny, but it also has moments that are heart wrenching and tragic AND those that are sweet and heartwarming… and it sometimes puts me through the ringer emotionally! It even has a great storyline with real character development. I’m really hoping such an amazing story has just as amazing an ending, and one that doesn’t break my heart! 🙏🏻🤞🏻

Hmmm you're not wrong I suppose.

I'll admit I probably come off as flip-floppy after rbing a bunch of stuff taking a hard stance against brands and then turn around to buy the funny checkmarks, but unfortunately, when it comes to brand loyalty, everyone's a bit hypocritical. It's very difficult to take any kind of stance against manipulative marketing without falling for it yourself (You're not immune to propaganda and all that). At least not if you haven't totally succumbed to a cynical lifestyle.

Personally, I genuinely value Tumblr as probably the most user-friendly social media site still around and I hope if they can generate enough money from the users, they won't have to give in to algorithms and whatever other nonsense that makes me hate using the internet
