Gadzooks!
"Perhaps there is a common folk memory or group recall from way back, or maybe it is all wishful thinking, that we feel there somehow just 'ought' to be dragons..." - The Dawn of Dragons
Presenting my own attempt at Gadzooks, one of the Pennykettle Dragons, from The Last Dragon Chronicles by Chris d'Lacey.

Bacchus and Le Fay: An Urban Poem. A dedication to the Taurus and the Libra. To Lovers come and gone
In the dusk’s embrace, where dreams are spun from whispers and longing, listen to the ballad of the girl with feathers in her hair and the boy with seashell teeth. Together they traverse the city of night, wrapped in a jacket of golden leaves, wrestling with the wind that dances through the streets, around corners, over cobbled paths, and between the towering herds of steel and glass.
They glide…

Homesick
If I ask you where my home is,
What would you say?
Would you think that I've gone crazy?
Or maybe I'm just having a bad day?
Or will you say my home is-
Just down the road,
Right next to the coffee shop,
Right infront of the store.
Then listen here you silly!
That is not my home
I'm a traveler lost in infinity
Forever destined to roam.
Then where is my home, you ask?
Then open your heart and mind.
Let your soul wander off
Focus on the farthest thing you find.
That is where my home lies.
In that land so far away!
Guarded by hills so green and wide
Covered by mist so white and gray!
Dawn there brings the words of joy!
Peace, brings the midday dove,
Dark yet vivid evening shadows
Tells the story of an untold love.
Hate there, is a concept so foreign
Pain there, is just a lie
People live their life with love!
And with love is how they want to die!
In one's joy they all laugh,
In one's sorrow they cry
Without letting anyone fall-
They all stand oh so high!
In the aftertaste of a forgotten dream
I see my home, oh so clear!
Gazing stars in an autumn night;
"Come back! come back!" is all I hear.
I'm lost here, can't find a way out
I'm caged in a cruel trick
I'm lonely, I'm sad
And I'm oh so Homesick!
Did you believe any of what I said?
Do you think it's true?
So if you happen to pass it by someday,
Promise you'll take me with you?

C.S. Lewis Square
402 A20
Belfast, Northern Ireland
United Kingdom
Step into Narnia at this small park featuring statues from "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe."
C.S. Lewis Square features over 300 native trees as well as statues by artist Maurice Harron who was inspired by characters from C.S. Lewis’s The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe.
The square is a public space commemorating the Belfast-born author, C.S. Lewis whose beloved Chronicles of Narnia series included the title. The sculptures depict both heroic and villainous characters as well as key props from the book, including Mr. Tumnus, Maugrim, the White Witch, Mr. and Mrs. Beaver, the Stone Table, the Robin, and, overlooking them all, Aslan the Lion.
Know Before You Go
C.S. Lewis Square is located at the intersection of the Connswater and Comber Greenways, beside the EastSide Visitor Centre.
