You were shocked to learn the truth, finding out you were a princess and that your real name wasn’t Briar Rose, you were told your parents had named you Y/n and that they had to send you off with the fairies because a woman named Maleficent cursed you. You had to take a few moments to collect yourself, learning that they were to take you back on your eighteenth birthday, which meant you were due to leave your home any moment now to go back to where your family supposedly lived.
As the four of you began to head off, your mind was full, thinking about your family, the curse, and the man you had met earlier that day. Oh, he was so handsome. You were saddened to hear the news that you were to be betrothed the moment you got to the castle. You didn’t want to be married off to a man you did not know. It didn’t sit right with you. Maybe if you spoke to your parents, they would understand and let you be with the man in the woods.
After the long walk, you had finally arrived at the palace, staring up at it with wide eyes, gobsmacked at the sheer size of it. The guards moved out of the way as you walked closer to the entrance, letting you in. Your blue dress that the fairies made as a birthday present clung to your body with each step. Small hands touched your arm, causing you to look down at Fauna. “We will have to leave you for a bit, my dear. We have some business to attend to before you are able to meet your parents.”
You give a soft smile. “That is alright, Fauna. I’ll be okay.” You assure them, watching as they leave. You begin to look around, admiring the artwork that litters the walls. Suddenly, a wisp of light appears in front of you. Your mind starts to go fuzzy as it pulls you into a trance, and your legs begin to follow as the light moves away from you, leading you toward a secret panel that opens when you are near. You walk up the winding staircase and into the hidden room.
Maleficent’s voice fills the room, coaxing you. “Touch the spindle! Touch it, I say!” Her command fills your ears, taking over your mind, and you have no choice but to obey. Your mind had taken over your legs, causing you to walk over to it. Your hand lifts, finger pointed, before a soft gasp escapes you when the spindle pricks your finger, causing it to bleed. You fall, eyes slipping closed into a deep slumber, not knowing of the dangers that lie ahead. Maleficent cackles as she appears over your unconscious body. “Oh, what a dumb girl.” She smirks as she spies into your mind and sees you dreaming of a man. “Hmm, if you want that man so badly, I guess I could give him to you.”
It was too late when the fairies realised what had happened. They looked at each other with wide eyes. They quickly become their former selves, allowing their wings and magic to take over and lead them to where you are. They would never have expected to be met with you, knocked out into a deep slumber with the one who cursed you standing above you in the same room. Their hearts race as Maleficent looks at the three with a deadly smirk, knowing they wouldn’t be strong enough to stop her.
“The three fairies! Flora, Fauna and…” Maleficent cocks her head to the side, “Merryweather, I’m guessing?” She waves her hand, scoffing. “Oh, well. I don’t care. I assume you came to get your girl? It is a shame. She would’ve done some good for the world.” She reaches down, running her fingers through your hair. “But, I’m willing to show the princess that the world isn’t so good and colourful. Goodbye.” With a wave of Maleficent’s hand, you and she disappear, causing the fairies to set off in a panic, frightened to tell your father, the king, the news.
Maleficent lays you on a soft bed, watching you as you sleep. “M–Maleficent, my queen. T–the prince, we found him…” She turns, raising a brow, waiting for her henchman to spit it out. “It seems he is waiting for the princess at the cabin, h–he seems impatient.”
“Hmm, that sounds perfect. Bring him to me!” She waves her hand before looking down at you. “You’re going to have so much fun, little one, and instead of true love’s kiss.” She scrunches her nose as those words leave her lips, not believing in such a thing. “Let’s make it something more… Extreme.” A dark grin appears on her face, knowing what the prince would do once he saw you. Her crow told her how the two of you got along in the woods and how the man couldn’t stop staring at your soft breasts and plump arse.
Ransom struggled against the henchmen, growling and swearing as they dragged him along. “Get your filthy paws off me! I’ll kill you for touching me! Don’t you know who I am!” The henchmen just shrug and huff, not caring. One of them grabs a cloth and stuffs it into the young prince’s mouth, wanting some quiet. They finally make it up to the room you are held in, throwing Ransom inside.
“Ah, finally.” Maleficent walks over, tilting his head up with her finger underneath his chin. “Hmm, you are quite handsome.” Her eyes drag across his face, getting what you see in him. Ransom’s brows furrow, unable to speak with the cloth in his mouth, his eyes fall upon your sleeping form, and he begins to wonder what the hell is happening. “But, you are not for me… Princess Y/n continues to think of you, and as you can see, she is currently in a deep slumber.” Maleficent leans closer to his ear, whispering. “Why don’t you find a way to wake her up.” She cackles as she straightens and waves her hand, disappearing in a puff of smoke.
His binds and cloth disappearing along with her, Ransom grumbles, shaking his head. “Fucking witches.” He stands, brushing off his clothes, and his head lifts as he peers at you, eyes drifting down your body. “Huh, so you’re the princess I’m meant to marry.” He walks close, tapping the blanket with the tip of his fingers. “I was ready to fuck you as a mere peasant girl, but knowing that you are much more, it’s so much better.”
It’s as though your body knows he is near. Your nipples harden and slick gathers between your thighs, your dreams turning sexual and dirty. You shift in your sleep, letting out a soft whimper as you dream of the handsome man in the woods, bending you over the log and thrusting into your tight cunt.
Ransom smirks as he watches you squirm. His cock hardens when he hears soft whimpers escape you. “Fuck, sweetheart. You sound so good, and I haven’t even touched you yet.” He strips from his clothes, sighing as his cock springs free from his slacks, no longer feeling tight and suffocated. Ransom pulls the blanket away from your body, his cock twitching when his gaze lands on your dress, wondering if it could get any tighter. He slowly gets onto the bed and crawls on top of you, lifting your dress higher as he moves up your body. “So beautiful, and all mine.” He pampers you with kisses, kissing up your body until he reaches your face.
Ransom groans when his leaking member connects with your bare cunt, and he grips his thick base, rubbing his swollen tip through your sopping folds. “Jesus, you’re so wet, sweetheart. What or who is making you so wet?” He raises his brow in jealousy, wondering who you could be dreaming of when he is here for you. “You know what? If you’re going to be a little slut in your dreams. Then I’m going to treat you like one.” Ransom growls, sick of competing with someone else when you should only be focused on him. He aligns his mushroom tip with your tight hole before thrusting in. His eyes close as he grunts, never having felt someone like you before.
Sweet moans pass your lips, dreaming of the handsome man in the woods gently lying you onto a blanket on the ground, pressing his hips into yours as he buries himself deeply into you, making love to you, marking your skin with his hands and lips. Your back arches in your dreams, arms wrapping around him, nails digging into his back.
Ransom moans, “Fuck, fuck, fuck! Shit, sweetheart, you’re squeezing me so fucking tight. You’re sweet walls are fluttering around me like crazy.” He buries his face into your neck, peppering kisses along your skin and thrusting harder and faster into your sweet honey pot. “My sweet little sleeping beauty.” Getting lost in how good you feel around his member, he hastily grabs a pillow and shoves it under your hips before gripping them, giving him leverage. “When you wake, I’ll continue to fuck you. I’ll fuck you every day, even after you become my wife. I’ll pump you full every single day and night. You won’t think of looking at another man when you have me.”
He nuzzles closer to you, pounding harder as he kisses your cheek, moving closer to your lips, his eyes slipping closed, enjoying the feeling of you wrapped around him. “You’re mine, my sweet Y/n. All mine.” The moment his lips connect with yours, magic explodes around the two of you. Your eyes fly open, arms wrapping around him and your back arches. Ransom smirks, tilting his head back as he looks down at you with hooded eyes. “Ah, my sweet little sleeping beauty is finally awake. Do you feel that, sweetheart? Do you feel me inside you? Fucking into you, claiming you?” He fucks into you deeper, hitting against the hidden spot inside you. Ransom cups your cheek, glaring down at you with lust-filled eyes. His thumb lands on your bottom lip, pulling your mouth open. “You’re mine, understood?”
You whimper, feeling yourself throb around his cock, never having experienced pleasure like this before. Your mind is cloudy, being pulled from your dream to see it come true with the man you’ve fallen for. You claw at his back, digging your nails into his soft flesh. “O–oh, it feels so good, my prince!” You scream, your eyes rolling to the back of your head as he continues to pound into that spot, allowing Ransom to spit directly into your mouth, smirking as you immediately swallow.
Ransom moves his hand between you, rubbing and rolling your swollen clit between his fingers. Enjoying the feeling of you squeezing his thick cock, he continues to pound into you, the hand that cups your cheek, moves to your throat and squeezes. “You’re going to cum for me, sleeping beauty, and then. I will pump you so full of my cum that it leaks out of you for months.” Your sweet moans fill the room, walls tighten around Ransom, your back arches, and you cum, your juices squirt out of you, covering everything. “Fuck, sweetheart.”
He captures your lips with his, thrusting harder and deeper until his cock twitches and his eyes slip closed. Ransom groans when his end approaches, burying himself deep inside you and emptying thick spurts of cum, coating your walls and filling you to the brim. He begins kissing down, resting on your neck, leaving soft kisses in his path. “My sweet little sleeping beauty.” Ransom lifts his head and stares deeply into your eyes, his softening cock still deep inside you, blocking his cum from leaking out. “You’re now mine forever.”
You hum, feeling your eyes begin to droop again. You would later learn not to fall in love with the first handsome man you laid your eyes upon.

CW: Ransome, kidnapped, cold whump, hurt/comfort
Whumpee's been kidnapped as ransom. Caretaker immediately gives in to whumper's demands and shows up to the trade alone. It's raining and the dark clouds could fool anyone for night.
Caretaker's was already freezing, but their blood ran colder as they watched whumper yank whumpee out of the back trunk hardly dressed.
Whumpee's sluggish, drowsy, confused; they're shaking and their arms are bound behind their back. They feel themselves get shoved towards caretaker as they nearly topple over. Caretaker rips their own coat off and bundles whumpee in it, holding them tightly by the shoulders. They nearly drag them to the car trying to get away from here as fast as possible.
Even though they're in caretaker's arms, whumpee still expected to be shoved in the trunk, it was what they were used to by now. It felt strange being put in the front seat with the heater, a blanket tossed over them and a bottle of water placed in their lap.

Two can play a game
Tumblr media
Summary: Your arranged marriage is far from perfect. When Ransom takes one step too far, you pay him back the best way possible.
Pairing: Mafia!Ransom Drysdale x fem!Reader, ???!Andy Barber x fem!Reader
Warnings: angst, language, arranged marriage, Ransom being an asshole, cheating, implied cheating, mentions of sidepieces, making out, implied smut, mafia au
Tumblr media
There he is, licking whipped cream off some bimbos’ tits. The woman moans and fakes she’s having fun. Just like some many greedy bitches wanting to get their hands on his wealth before.
Ransom Drysdale. Your husband. The self-declared gift to all women.
At the beginning of your arranged marriage, you easily overlooked his flaws and quirks. He was a good-looking and charming man, easily working his way into your heart and between your legs.
Ransom was passionate and sweet. Even if he was a little too cocky and arrogant for your taste. He was a prick to most people, including your friends. The only person he treated with respect was you.
Back then you believed this arranged marriage can work out.
Sometimes you even felt loved by your husband. And you reflected his feelings.
But all good things come to an end.
Your little bubble burst when you walked in on him railing one of the new maids. He didn’t even try to hide his infidelity. Proud of himself for leading you on, and making you believe you are more than a pawn to him.
Ransom declared your marriage is not a real marriage. Arranged marriages don’t count in his opinion. That’s what he said. His poor excuse for cheating on you.
Since that day, you refuse to sleep in the same room with him. Just like you didn’t let him touch you. The thought of riding the same dick he pushed into some bitch’s cunt was enough to leave your pussy dry most of the time when it comes to your husband.
“Oh, my beloved wife,” Ransom lifts his head from his latest conquest’s tits.
“Does she want to join us?” The girl squeaks as her eyes land on you.
Ransom grins, but you ignore the little pang in your chest. “Ah, better not. She’s frigid, you know.” He says to the girl he has on top of your kitchen counter.
“When you are done here, call someone to get rid of the kitchen counter. You never know where your little skank was before you found her on the sidewalk,” you snap at your husband.
He watches you open the fridge to get a bottle of water. “If you would excuse us now,” he grunts. “Or do you want to watch?” Ransom tries to rile you up. It’s a fight for dominance and you won’t lose it.
“Sorry, but limp dicks don’t do it for me, honey,” you bite back. “I’ll talk to our neighbor. He invited me over to talk about the next book we want to read. At least he’s got good taste.”
“See. That’s why I prefer fucking hot women like Cassie.”
“My name is Kathy,” the blonde protests. “Did you already forget my name?” She frowns deeply. “Ran?”
“He didn’t even listen when you told him your name.” You walk out of the kitchen, sway in your hips. “If you go home with Ransom Drysdale, you are destined to get disappointed. In any way. He doesn’t even know where to find your G-spot, and he won’t try to find it …
Tumblr media
“Y/N, hey,” Andy smiles widely when you stand in front of his door. It happens ever so often since you found out about Ransom’s infidelity. “Bad day?”
You sniff and shake your head. “Do you have a drink with my name on it, Andy?” He opens the door wider to let you in. Andy doesn’t ask what happened. He waits for you to talk to him.
“Always, neighbor.” He closes the door behind you. “What can I offer to you.”
“Distraction, and maybe a place to stay for the night,” you lick your lips. “Ransom has company.” Your eyes drop to the diamond ring on your finger.
“He brought one of his sidepieces to your home,” Andy sounds almost shocked. Almost… “Why would he do such a thing?”
“He likes to play games.” You shrug. “I refused to play along and let him fuck me after I found out about his harem of bimbos. If only he was at least a himbo with a big dick.”
Andy nods thoughtfully when you finally explode.
“I had to let my doctor check me for STDs. Can you imagine how I felt? I’m married and ask them to run all the tests. I bet they believed I’m the one who cheated!” You start to pace the room. “I haven’t looked at another man.”
“Y/N, you need to take deep breaths,” Andy softly speaks to you.
He looks at you with soft blue eyes, and fuck, he looks so good. Did he always look so good?
“No. I need to get this out.” You raise your hand. “I-I was always faithful. I could’ve fucked countless guys, but I didn’t. Because that’s not who I am, Andy.”
“I know. You’re a good girl,” he replies, making you stop in your tracks.
He looks at you, eyes drifting toward your lips. You take a breath, and another before you grab his face to kiss him. Andy doesn’t hesitate. He eagerly kisses you back.
Damn, he tastes even better. Like mint, and the coffee he drank. You cup the back of his neck and run your free hand over his back. He moans into you, tongue delving into your mouth.
“Fuck,” he wraps his arms around you and kisses you again. This time, he suckles at your tongue. “You taste so good.”
He laughs against you. “You too,” Andy nips at your lips. “Do you want this? I don’t want to take advantage of you. We can just talk a little and…”
You silence his doubts with your lips. “I wanted you the moment you moved in across the street four years ago.”
“Same,” he pants between kisses. “But you were married, and I was freshly divorced.” You grab the hem of his shirt, shoving it up to his arms. “Fuck, you looked so cute in your summer dress.”
“Yeah?” You whine as he buries his face in your neck. He kisses your skin, nipping and licking your sweet spot while you hastily unbuckle his belt. “What did you want to do with me?”
“Fuck you until you can’t walk straight.” Andy shoves his pants down his legs, stepping out of them.
“Just like right now?”
You gasp when he grips your hips to hoist you up and slam you into the wall, causing a few picture frames to drop to the ground.
Andy doesn’t seem to mind. He crushes his lips onto yours, kissing you passionately. You moan into his mouth and wrap your legs around his waistline.
“Right now,” he growls against you. All softness is gone when he looks at you pressed against the wall. “I wanna ruin you for him.”
“Ruin me. Make me yours,” you challenge. You allow him to grind his erection against your core and offer your body to him. All you want in return is to forget about your unfaithful husband.
“If you let me have you, I won’t allow you to go back to him. You’ll be mine,” Andy warns. “Name what you want.”
You whimper at his words. Ransom never asked what you want. No one ever did.
“You.” You breathlessly reply. “I want you. Make me forget about him.”
Tumblr media
You roll to your side, smiling as your eyes land on the man next to you. Still, you hold your breath. What if this wasn’t the best idea you ever had?
What if he regrets what happened last night?
What if he breaks his promises and forgot about all the things he said to you while he claimed your body?
Andy dips his head to look at you. “Morning beautiful.” He rolls to his side to look at you. “Slept well?”
“Yeah,” you don’t know why your voice trembles. Maybe because you fear Andy is the same as your unfaithful husband. He seems so different from the prick you are married to, but you let a pretty face and charming personality fool you once.
Andy runs his hand over your arm, fingertips tickling your skin. “What do you want to do today?”
“I don’t know,” you answer. Honestly, after last night everything has changed. You only came to Andy’s house to seek shelter for a few hours, or one night.
Now that you gave in to your feelings, you cannot go back to Ransom and pretend it doesn’t break you to see how less you mean to him.
“How about we go to your house, deliver the divorce papers I prepared while you were sleeping, and pack your things? I’ll bring a few friends to help you carry the heavy stuff.”
You’re taken aback. “What?” Stammering you look at Andy who lovingly cups your cheek to press a soft kiss on your lips. “Andy, this isn’t funny. I need to think about what to do now. You don’t know my husband. He’s a prick, but also dangerous and he won’t let me walk out on him so easily.”
“You think I care?” Andy chuckles darkly. “Oh, beautiful. I told you that you are going to be mine when you let me, have you. Didn’t I?”
“Yes.” You remember vividly how you begged him to make you his, and only his. That you agreed to become his pretty little wife, and always cum for him. “That was in the heat of the moment. Wasn’t it?”
“Y/N, I dreamed of taking you out for years. Every time I wanted to ask you to leave your husband, you told me about him with so much adoration that I couldn’t make a move. But now that I know he fucked up, I can’t miss the chance.”
“Andy, I can’t end my marriage only to become someone else’s arm candy or his most prized possession. I’m not a toy, nor a brainless doll you can use.”
“Baby, I swear this isn’t how I see you,” Andy presses another soft kiss on your lips. “Let me help you. If you don’t want to be with me, I understand. All I want is to make sure that Ransom Drysdale leaves you the fuck alone.”
“Why?” You question.
“Because,” he kisses you again, slow and gentle, “I think I love you…”
Tumblr media
“Y/N, what’s the douche from next door doing at my house,” Ransom follows you and Andy. “I’m talking to you!”
“Oh, I thought as you are busy disappointing one of your playthings with your limp dick,” you snap at Ransom. “I can bring a real man to satisfy my needs too.”
“Beautiful, why don’t you go upstairs and look for all the things you want to take with you? My friends will be here any minute.”
“Okay,” you nervously glance at Ransom. “Be careful. He’s dangerous.”
“Don’t worry, baby,” Andy pecks your cheek. “I’ll be careful.”
Turning his head toward Andy your husband’s features darken. “If you touched my wife, you are dead.” He pats the gun hidden under his jacket. “If you leave my house now, I’ll only break every bone in your body.”
Andy laughs into Ransom’s face.
“You’ve got no clue who I’m.” Stepping toward your husband, Andy sizes Ransom up. “Do you honestly believe you are scaring me? You’re nothing but a pathetic man cheating on his beautiful wife and,” Andy leans closer to Ransom to whisper in his ear. “I’m long enough in town to know that you are not on top of the food chain any longer. Your time is running out.”
“I don’t know what you are talking about!”
“The deal last week,” Andy smirks darkly, “the one you couldn’t seal? I took it over. Your business partners are my partners now. Your wife. Is mine. Your friends, mine too. I dismantled Ransom Drysdale piece by piece.”
“Why? How?”
“At first, I moved in next door to check your territory out. But then, I saw your wife and the way you treated her. She didn’t know you were a piece of shit cheating on her from day one.”
“You did all this for my wife?” Ransom hiccups. “You’re insane. Starting a war over some pussy!”
“You don’t get it,” Andy hisses. “Y/N is not some pussy to me. She’s everything, and I’ll make her my queen.”
While you look for the things you want to take with you, Andy threatens Ransom and his organization.
When you walk back down the stairs, your husband already signed the divorce papers. He will let you go and get out of town as fast as possible.
Ransom didn’t know that no one messes with Andrew Barber. The head of the Boston mafia. One of the deadliest men alive…

All his life Ransom has heard people around him complain about how quickly the weekends go by and that they all hate Monday mornings but he never understood why. He thought that by getting a job he'd finally understand but he doesn't. He loves the weekend because he can sleep in with his girl but he also loves week days.
His alarm doesn't bother him because he's usually already awake to gently wake you up instead of the very annoying sound coming from the alarm clock on your phone. Your alarm goes off at 7, but he wakes you up at 6:59 every morning.
Neither of you talk aside from mumbling a quick "good morning". You aren't morning people and you both love your peace and quiet after waking up.
Ransom loves mornings just because you're a little grumpy and cuddly. It's not unusual for you to stop in the middle of a task just to get a hug from him before going back to getting ready.
Then, he gets to spend the entire day with you at work and watching you share your love of books with other people. Watching you recommend books is one of his favorite things. The way your eyes light up when you're talking and how you can't stop smiling make him melt.
Going to work is never a chore because he gets to do it with you.
Never in his wildest dreams did he think he'd ever be the kind of guy to one, be in a relationship and two, be obsessed with a girl and yet here he is.
Harlan cutting him off changed him but meeting you transformed him. He's glad he met you after losing everything because otherwise he probably wouldn't have looked at you twice, he would have been too busy chasing other girls to notice you. He wasn't good enough for you back then, he still doesn't think that he is now but he works at himself every day to change that.
Some may say that Ransom isn't Ransom anymore but he'd argue that he's never been more himself than he is now.
Going to work is never a chore but he still looks forward to the weekend.
You promised to teach him how to cook on Saturday morning and it's something new that he's looking forward to.
If his family could see him now. Selfish, trust-fund asshole Ransom Drysdale learning to cook from a girl, from his girl. They would hate every second of it and for the first time in his life Ransom could say that he genuinely doesn't care what they think.
Every day that he wakes up this week means it's a day closer to Saturday morning and he's excited, which you think is adorable.
Sometimes he reminds you of a child. In the sense that he gets excited for the most basic things and you find it endearing. It makes your heart ache that no one ever took the time to show him those things but you're glad that you get to be the one to teach him. They make fond little memories that you will look back to in years and smile as you think of them.
You feel bad for not spending as much time with Chase and Theo as you used to but they don't mind. You're happy, happier than they have ever seen you before and that's all that matters to them.
With the week finally over and work out of the way, you can finally relax and have fun with the guys. It's been a while since you've done a Friday game night and that's exactly what you're doing tonight. Take outs and board games. Ransom didn't really feel like playing so instead he's sitting on the couch, scrolling through breakfast recipes on his phone while the three of you are sitting on the floor around the coffee table.
"Theo." You laugh. "Stop showing me your cards! I'm cheating and it's not even on purpose." You shake your head.
You've been playing for an hour and it's the fourth time you've had to tell Theo to hide his cards. He's too busy bickering with Chase to even notice what he's doing.
Ransom gets off the couch and stands next to you, looking down at you. "Can we go to bed?"
You look up at him. "You don't want to play with us?"
"Not really, no." He shrugs.
"I'm having fun, I don't want to go to bed yet." You sigh and put down your cards.
"Alright. Can I snuggle while you play?"
You smile. "Best of both worlds."
Ransom sits on the floor between you and the couch, resting his back against it as you lean back into him.
"Never in a million year did I ever think I'd see Ransom ask to snuggle." Theo says after watching your exchange with Ransom.
"Why not?" Ransom asks as he wraps his arms around your waist.
Theo shrugs and shakes his head. "You don't strike me as the cuddling type."
"Guys usually tend to hide their soft side." Chase adds.
Ransom snorts and shakes his head disapprovingly. "I've never cared about what other people think of me and I've never let their opinions stop me from doing what I want. Am I supposed to keep my hands to myself or pretend like I don't care about my girl because otherwise people are going to be uncomfortable? Fuck that, that's dumb."
You bite back a smile and turn your head to the side to kiss his cheek.
"That's good." Chase nods, approving of Ransom's way of thinking. "The guys before you thought the opposite, it's nice to see that you actually care."
You clear your throat, suddenly uncomfortable with the conversation. "Can we not talk about that?" You ask quietly, picking at your cards and avoiding eye contact.
"That's because she needed a man." He peppers your neck with kisses and grins at the sound of your laughter.
"I need one of those too." Theo mumbles under his breath.
"Not this one." You warn him.
"Your brother then?" Theo smirks playfully.
"There are so many men out there, does it really have to be my brother?" You whine.
"Yes! He's sweet and funny."
"And hot." Chase adds.
"So hot." Theo sighs dreamily.
You point a finger at Chase. "Don't encourage him."
"Looks like Theo's going to be your brother-in-law." Ransom teases you.
You turn to the side to look at him. "You do know that means you and Theo will technically be family." You ask, raising a brow.
He stops laughing and looks at Theo. "Stay the fuck away from her brother."
Theo gasps. "That's no way to talk to your future brother-in-law, Ranny."
"Don't call me that."
You and Chase exchange a look before rolling your eyes. Ransom can pretend all he wants but everyone knows he adores Theo just like Theo adores him. For some reason they like to bicker. Constantly. It's like they are making up for all those years they were brother less.
You collect everyone's cards while they keep fighting and put them back in the box, clearly you're done playing for tonight. Ransom sees that you're moving to get up and helps you stand.
"Where are you going, kitten?"
"To bed, are you coming?" You hold out your hand.
He takes it right away and hurries to his feet.
"Good night." You say to your friends before leading Ransom out of the living room to his room.
You lie down under his covers together, he's holding you close to his chest as he spoons you. He lovingly kisses the skin of your shoulder and of the side of your neck.
"Are you tired?"
You nod and turn your head to the side to try and catch a glimpse of him. "You?"
"I'm beat." He moves his hand to your cheek to hold your head to the side. He brushes his nose against yours and smiles softly before leaning down to kiss you. "Good night my love." He whispers between two kisses, making you smile.
You cover his hand on your cheek with yours, not hesitating to press your lips to his. "Good night baby." You whisper back once he gives you a chance to breathe again.
He moves his hand down from your cheek and instead lays it flat on your chest, right above your heart. He waits for you to turn back your head to bury his in your neck. It doesn't take long at all for sleep to find you both once you're comfortable and all wrapped up around each other.
Surprisingly enough, you manage to stay in that exact position all through the night. It doesn't look like either of you moved even an inch.
You wake up first but you don't move or open your eyes, enjoying every second of being in Ransom's warmth and arms.
Ransom lets out a small content sigh as he wakes up. He doesn't need to open his eyes or look at you to know that you're already awake and he smiles.
"Good morning." He whispers against your neck, his voice low and dripping with sleep.
You smile and move your hand to his hair, gently scratching his head as you run your fingers through his hair. It's longer than when he first moved in and he uses a lot less products to keep it perfectly styled all the time, which you love because they are fluffier and softer. Especially in the morning. "Good morning." You say softly.
You stay like this for a few more minutes before speaking again. "I'm sorry Ran but I need to move. The leg that's under me is cramping up." You laugh quietly.
He chuckles and moves to give you enough space to lie on your back instead. Ransom comes to lie on top of you, settling himself between your legs as he holds himself up on his elbows to make sure he doesn't crush you.
"Better?" He leans down to give both of your cheeks a kiss.
"Much." You giggle at his kisses. "You woke up into a cuddly mood this morning."
"Too much?" He looks down at you, worried he might be overdoing it.
You quickly shake your head no. "I like it." You reassure him with a smile.
"Can we go make breakfast and come back to bed after eating? I don't want to move but I'm starving." He huffs, slightly annoyed that he needs to get up.
"It's Saturday, we can do whatever we want." You smile.
"Kiss." He purses his lips, making you laugh.
You put your arms around his shoulders and lift yourself up, enough to reach his lips and kiss him softly.
He grins and sits up, taking you with him. "I want more of this but after breakfast."
"Don't ever say I like food more than you again, look who is choosing food over cuddling and kissing." You stick your tongue out before getting out of bed and stretching your arms above your head.
Ransom kneels on the bed behind you and wraps his arms around your waist, pulling you back into his chest. "Want me to starve for you, kitten? You say the word and I will. I'll starve to death if I have to." He gently bites your neck.
You laugh. "So dramatic." You tease him. "No need to starve." You slip out of his hold before he has time to stop you and make your way to the door. "But don't expect kisses later. You chose food over me, you are gonna have to deal with the consequences."
"Alright, come back here." Ransom gets out of bed to stop you from leaving but you're too quick.
You hurry to the kitchen and give him a cheeky grin. "Too slow, old man."
"You're lucky you're so fucking cute." He kisses your cheek and helps you set up.
"What do you want to make?" You ask him, standing in front of the fridge to take out what you need for the recipe he chose.
"Pancakes? It seems like a pretty easy thing to do."
"Easy and delicious." You bring all the ingredients you're going to need and put them down on the kitchen island. "I'm going to let you make them, I'll just tell you the steps."
Normally making pancake batter takes you about two minutes but Ransom is really taking his time and you're letting him go at his own pace.
Chase and Theo join you in the kitchen, their stomachs already growling.
"Mom and dad are making us pancakes." Theo says to Chase, teasing you.
You and Ransom both laugh at the same time except in very different ways. You laugh genuinely but Ransom sounds more like he's heard something stupid.
"That's not gonna happen." He shakes his head and chuckles before flipping the first pancake.
"What's not gonna happen?" You're pretty sure you already know the answer but you need to hear him say it.
Ransom shrugs. "I'm not having kids."
He's so focused on not burning anything that he misses the moment you get crushed by his words.
"You don't want kids?" You stare at his back, your heart pounding in your chest.
"Nope." He says, emphasizing on the "p" sound.
Your eyes fall to the ground and you stare at the floor, not knowing what to say.
Theo and Chase keep glancing at each other and silently decide to leave the kitchen to go into Chase's room.
Ransom feels the weird shift in the air and turns around, surprised to see you standing behind him.
"Kitten, are you ok? You look like you've seen a ghost." He smiles in the hope it'll make you smile but you give him nothing. He turns off the stove and walks over to you, gently putting his hands on your shoulders. "What's wrong?"
"I want to have kids." You say quietly, avoiding looking into his eyes.
"Oh." He clears his throat.
"Yeah." You take a few steps back and he lets go of you, his hands dropping back to his side. "Are you sure?" You hesitate to ask but the pain in your chest is making you desperate.
"Are you?" He keeps looking directly at you while you do everything in your power to avoid eye contact.
"I'm more than sure." You finally look up and the pain in your eyes knocks the wind out of his lungs.
"You know me, you know of my family… We're not good people. It's in our DNA. I'm not going to add another selfish asshole to our family tree. I can't."
You understand why he doesn't want kids, you really do. You don't blame him for thinking this way. "You're not like them, Ran. You wouldn't be like your dad-"
"Look, maybe I'll change my mind in like 10 years. We have time, right?"
"No, you do. I don't. What happens if in 10 years you change your mind and it's too late? What if I get pregnant before then and you resent me for the next 18 years?" You shake your head. "I'm willing to compromise about a lot of things but not this. I'm sorry." You walk around the kitchen island and head to your room, swallowing with difficulty because of the lump in your throat, rapidly forming from your unshed tears and heartache.
Ransom follows you. "Why can't I be enough for you?"
You sit on your bed and take in a few shaky breaths. "You are enough, more than enough."
"Then we don't need kids." He nervously runs his fingers through his hair.
"I do." You quickly wipe off the tear that escapes at the corner of your eye. "I don't know how to explain it, I just know that I do. I've known since I was teenager. It's the one thing in my life I've always been sure of. It's not because you're not enough, it's just… different."
"Aren't we happy just the two of us together?" He is getting desperate as he gets a bad feeling about where this conversation is headed.
"We are." You nod.
"Then why risk messing it up?" He kneels on the floor in front of you, resting his hands on your thighs with a pleading look in his eyes.
You smile sadly down at him and stroke his cheek with your hand. "I don't see having kids as a risk of messing things up, for me having kids is adding to my happiness."
Ransom wipes angrily at his cheeks, he doesn't even know when he started crying. He stands up and looks down at you, holding back more tears. "So that's it then? We're done?"
"I don't know." You answer sincerely. "I don't want us to be done."
He stares at you then leaves your room. He storms out of the loft and slams the door as he goes, taking the stairs two at a time to get to the first floor and outside.
You slowly stand up and walk over to your door to close it quietly before heading back to bed. You jump at the sound of the front door being slammed shut and quickly crawl into bed, hiding under your covers. You finally let the tears come out, hoping it will help soothe the soul crushing pain in your heart.
It doesn't.
Ransom pulls out his phone from his pocket, not caring that he's only wearing sweats and a coat outside. He scrolls through his contacts until he finds the person he's looking for. He lifts his phone to his ear as it starts to ring and he's relieved when the other person picks up almost instantly.
"Can I come over to your place? I really need to see you."

Whump Prompt #1345
@whumperofworlds asked:
Do you have any prompts for hostage videos?
I got this idea stuck in my head, hope it helps!:
I like the idea of the whumpee not being shown straight away. The whumper really wants to make a production of it, so they're teasing the whumpee reveal. However, in the background noises can be heard. They're very distracting as the whumper waffles on, padding time to allow those receiving the video to hear them moving chains, testing tools, turning on blowtorches etc. Maybe there's a shift of the chair and a quiet "No - please." before the video ends too.
The next one is similar, except there's the tell-tale signs of the whumpee trying to keep quiet with every strike. This format continues for a few videos until the whumpee finally breaks and screams when the whumper is halfway through their demands. There's a glimpse of a smirk on the whumpers face before they excuse themselves and the video ends.
The next video stars the whumpee and whumper sitting side by side. The whumper is acting all friendly with them, but the whumpee flinches at every movement. (However your whumpee looks can be based on what you're subjecting them to behind the scenes).
I can imagine them to be treating it almost like an interview (or even a vlog depending on the setting/timeframe). Where the whumper asks the whumpee what they'd prefer, where the information is etc etc, all coming to a head when the whumper asks: "Is there anything you'd like to say to the people at home?"
And the whumpee explodes with pleads, trying to wrench themselves from where they're bound to the chair to get closer to the camera.
"Don't do it, please don't give them what they want - I'm fine! Don't give them anything-."
There's a cut.
And the chair next to the whumper is empty. They smile at the camera. There's crying in the background.
"Looks like we haven't quite convinced them yet. We'll see you next week where hopefully they'll be more... agreeable."

Hi my lovely! I’m sorry to hear your 2023 was trash and wishing you an even better 2024! Could I get 17 “What made you think I cared for you?” With Ransom? 🥰
Oh man, mean and cruel Ransom just hits different.
Tumblr media
You just looked up at Ransom with wide eyes and a dry mouth. The only word for what you were feeling was shock, pure and utter shock. What else were you supposed to feel when the love of your life told you he didn’t see a future with you, though?
He just sneered at you when you started crying. It’s not like you could stop yourself, there was suddenly a sucking wound in your chest where your heart used to be.
“Jesus, quit being such a baby about this.” Ransom grimaced when you just hiccuped and continued sobbing. “This is just a breakup, it isn’t that fucking deep.”
“Not that deep?! Ransom…” you had to take in a shuddering breath when another painful sob wracked your body. “I thought we were planning a future together. You were going to meet my parents. We had talked about getting a dog. I already bought all of your Christmas presents. What is so wrong with me that you would leave me like this?”
“My ex wanted to get back together.” He just shrugged at you like he hadn’t completely ruined your life. “You know how I feel about her, she actually fits in with the world I live in. What made you think I cared for you that much?”
“You… you did!” You had to bury your head in your hands because looking at his apathetic face was making you sick to your stomach. “You told me you loved me and that you wanted to spend the rest of your life with me!”
“Well I’m a liar. You’ll get over it.” You couldn’t see his face anymore but you could hear the dismissal on his voice. “I’ll leave my key on the counter. If you can’t return any of those presents I guess I can find something to do with them.”
He didn’t even say goodbye. When you heard the front door open and close you just curled in on yourself and wailed, not able to figure out what else you could do now that it felt like your life was over.

Dark!content under Ari <3
‘Screw getting your life together. Screw drinking water every day. Screw getting off your ass and screw going to the fucking gym!’ You cursed to yourself as you pushed the doors to your local gym open, unintentionally scowling at woman who was leaving.
You walked to the front desk and plastered a fake smile at the clerk standing behind the counter, “Could I have locker, please?” You asked, she looked up and raised an eyebrow, “Do you have a membership?” She asked, you looked around the desk cluttered with flyers and business cards, “Nope.” You popped the ‘P’, “$10 per hour with additional to use the showers.” She told, you nodded, “Great. Can I pay at the end?” You questioned, “Yeah sure, just take a key. One sec.” She tapped an earpiece and her demeanour immediately changed into an overly enthusiastic one while she walked away.
Your eyes rolled in annoyance, not at the clerk but just at the whole ordeal, ‘what were you thinking?! You didn’t know how to work out!’ You internally stomped your feet like a child having a temper tantrum, you grabbed a key and begrudgingly made your way to the locker room.
You almost got lost by going past the locker room but was redirected by a sign that said ‘Office of Mr Levinson’.
After packing away your bags and only keeping your, headphones, phone and water bottle out, you ventured out to where you could hear music playing a people grunting.
The sight of a mat class met you first and you quickly rushed past. Next there was a pilates studio; that would be a no. Finally you came across a large room with several people working out on their own, ‘at least this one wasn’t a class’ you sighed and pushed the door open.
Choosing you first exercise carefully, you decided a treadmill would be easy, ‘It’s just running! That can’t possibly be too hard!’ Boy were you wrong. After only 10 minutes on the treadmill you felt like you were dying, pressing multiple wrong buttons just to get it to turn off.
You hopped off and grabbed your water quicker than ever, God, you’d never been so grateful for water in your life.
“Oh sweet saints. I will never say another bad thing about you again.” You panted, laying back on the carpeted floor, you knew you looked like a fucking weirdo but you were in agony.
Recollecting yourself, you made your way over to a weight lifting machine, you cocked your head to the sighed in confusion before leaning down to try and pick it up but before you could even get it off the ground you heard a loud thud a few feet away and looked up to see a burly man jogging towards you.
He placed his arm on your lower back and quickly took the weight away from you, “You’re gonna hurt yourself really bad if you do that.” He warned with a laugh, you looked up and were met with an incredibly handsome face, you blushed.
“Oh…I- um- I didn’t know.” You mumbled, he laughed again, “Clearly.” HIs joke made your lips quirk into a shy smile, the man gestured to the dumbbell, “you want me to show you?” He offered, “Could you? It’s my first time at a gym or anything and I don’t really know how all these fancy things work.” You sighed, taking a step back so he could alter the weight.
You looked down as he removed several weights from the ends, “You would’ve broken you back if you tried to lift these!” He teased, you giggled and rubbed the back of your neck sheepishly.
After fixing the settings, the man stood up again and you took a step forward, “So, instead of holding them from the top, try grip them from underneath. It might make it a bit easier for you.” He explained, you curled your hands around the metal bar, “Like this?”, he nodded and removed his cap before standing behind you.
You almost gasped when you felt his hands on you hips, “There you go…and just kick your legs apart a bit- hey! You got it!” He positioned you just right and grinned when you did what he asked, “Now you try lift it.” He told, you tried to pull put instead squeaked as the weight toppled you forward.
Closing your eyes for impact you were grabbed by the wrist and pulled back to standing.
“So 50kg might be too much for you.” The blue eyed man thought, your eyes widened, “that was 50kg?! I was so close! Wow I must be like Hercules or something!” You exclaimed, patting yourself on the back, your new found friend laughed and so did you.
Once he stood back up to his full height, you moved once again towards the weight, “So how much is this?” You asked skeptically as you positioned yourself in the way he did for you before.
“I changed it to 20kg so just try that.” He told, you bit your lip and lifted it, a gasp escaping your lips when you got it up to about thigh height, the man stood behind you and reached his muscular arms around to help you lift it further.
With his help you could hardly feel the weight but still, it was an accomplishment.
You both placed the weight down and you clapped your hands, “Thank you so much, Mr…” You fished and he smiled, “Ari. Call me Ari.” He finished, you grinned brightly, “Thank you, Mr Ari.” You teased, bowing your head slightly, causing him to return your grin as he put his hat back on, “Not a problem, doll.” He winked, beginning to walk away, “My names Y/n!” You called after him.
If only you could see his little fist pump in the air.
————————————♥︎————————————
You were so fucking done. You just wanted a cold beverage and a long fucking nap, you decided as you exited the washroom, bag slung lazily over your shoulder and hair in an absolute mess.
As you finished paying the clerk, a familiar blue eyed man walked past you.
“Ari! Hey! Wait up!” You called, jogging after him much to your bodies dismay, he turned around and smiled, “Y/n! Hey, peach. How was the rest of your workout?” He asked, you blushed at the pet name, “Honestly I don’t get how people can do that everyday.” You threw your head back with a whine, Ari laughed, “You just gotta get used to it and y’know it’s really not that bad. You just gotta have the right motivation.”
He leant down to your ear at the last word and pointed to an ice cream parlour directly across from the gym, “Now that is genius business.” You commented, practically drooling at the idea of cold ice cream on a hot day.
There seemed to be a silent agreement between you and Ari as you both made your way across the street. Ari pushed the door open for you and you both stepped into the cool air conditioned parlour.
“Really, Ari? Another girl? Gotta be kidding me, man. How do you always get the hot chicks?” The cashier complained, ‘he must be a regular’ you thought, “Ha ha. Very funny, Sam. Now do your job.” He rolled his eyes, Sam laughed, “Just the usual right?” He guessed only to get a nod in return.
You couldn’t seem to decide…
“You should get the strawberry and cream.” Ari whispered in your ear, making you jump at the close proximity, you nodded quickly, eyes scanning for the one he was talking about. On finding it you pointed at the cashier, “This one, please.” You gulped slightly, not liking social interactions.
After both getting your ice creams you went to reach for your wallet but Ari was going first, Sam threw his hands up, “So now you pay? Guess there’s a first time for everything!” He huffed, Ari nudged him, “Come on, man. Not in front of the girl.” He teased, looking down at you playfully.
The door was opened for you by Ari and you ducked your head again in thanks.
“Your nice.” You blurted, he looked down at you, licking his ice cream already, “Yeah? What makes you say that, sweets?” He hummed, you shrugged, “You help me out. You pay for my ice cream. That’s nice.” You told, ‘God he felt terrible for what he was gonna do to you….not.’
When you didn’t get a response and only a continuous stare, you looked up and smiled as you finally began to eat your ice cream.
—————————♡—————————
The two of you had been so caught up that you hadn’t even noticed how far you’d walked until the familiar street where your apartment lay.
“My apartments just in here if you’d like to come in. It might not be too clean but it’s a shield from the sun.” You suggested, “You know people usually don’t follow strange little girls into their apartments but what’s a sweet thing like you gonna do?” He mused, unbeknownst to him you were blushing madly.
—————————♡—————————
You fumbled with your keys before unlocking the door and stepping inside, “It’s not anything fancy but it’s the best I’ve got.” You mumbled, letting him inside.
His eyes wondered around the colourful apartment as he dropped his gym bag to the ground, “It’s cozy.” He told, plopping down on one of your plush sofas, “You think?” You blushed hopefully, pressing your hands together, Ari smiled and nodded, “S’cute. Jus’ like you, button.” He winked.
You covered your face with your hands and turned away from the tall man.
“Do you want anything to eat or drink?” You asked, trying to distract yourself with a domestic task, “I’ll have a coffee, thanks, peach.” He replied, now taking his shoes off and setting them by the door.
You had tried to stop drinking coffee a while ago since you’d decided you wanted to get your shit together, so you’d asked one of your taller friends to put it in a top cupboard…one you couldn’t reach.
Chewing your lip, you tried to stand on your tiptoes to reach it and managed to only skim the shelf with your fingers.
Suddenly, you felt a grip on your waist and looked up to see Ari, he reached the coffee down and placed it on the counter, “Oh- thank you.” You blushed again, turning to face him, ‘fuck he was tall’ you gulped, realising your weren’t even shoulder height with him.
He smirked, “Where’s the bathroom?” He asked, you cleared your throat and tried to step back, only to run into the bench, ‘god you were such a klutz’ you winced, “Through there.” You pointed to a small door just off the main hall, he smiled, “Thanks, doll.”
As you were banging your head on the kitchen counter, you heard Ari call out, “Hey peach? What’s with all the stuffed animals?”, your eyes widened and you quickly ran to your bedroom, “No! Um- Nothing! Here let’s go, your coffee should be done any second!” You tried to drag him but his large frame didn’t even budge.
He pushed past you and moved to the bed, seeing that everything was either pink, with animals or both.
You blushed, ‘I think I’ll just die now.’ You thought, wanting nothing more than to wake up from this horrible dream, a sexy godlike man had walked into your life and was now snooping in your most private space.
“Has it got a name?” Ari’s voice snapped you out of your daze and you saw him holding one of your penguin stuffies, “That’s um…his name is…” You couldn’t seem to get it out, too embarrassed with the truth.
Ari tugged your hips and only now you were almost level with him, ‘how fucking tall is this man?!’ “I asked you a question, angel. It’s polite to answer.” His voice was cool and commanding.
“That’s Mr Waddles but he’s not my favourite.” You finally said, he hummed and placed the penguin down again, “Which one is your favourite?” He asked and all embarrassment flew out the window, replaced my giddiness and excitement.
‘Ari wasn’t judging you! He was just interested!’ You thought happily as you skipped to the other side of the bed.
You picked up your favourite white bunny with a pink bow, “This is Mrs Snuggles. She’s my favourite because we can play dress up.” You explained, handing it to him, “be careful.” You added.
He examined the stuffed toy, “Mrs Snuggles is very lovely, button, but how bout’ you show me your dress up costume?” He asked, you blushed and shook your head, “Can’t show you that one.” You told, Ari raised an eyebrow,, “Why’s that, angel?”, “Cause that would be bad. Not meant for guys to see.” You muttered.
Ari picked up your rabbit toy and moved it animatedly, “So Mrs Snuggles gets to see but I don’t? That’s not very fair.” He faux pouted, “Well Mrs Snuggles is a girl!” You explained with a giggle.
He gave you puppy dog eyes and you sighed, “You gotta sign the pact of secrecy.” You crossed your arms defiantly, he sat up against your headboard as you went to reach for Mrs Snuggles, he shot forward and planted his lips to yours.
You tried to step away but he pushed you back on the bed, hovering over you, “Ari- no… What are you doing?” You breathed, trying to push him away, “You think any guy wants to hear a slut talk? Here’s a lesson for you, sweetheart. The only good thing about you is your holes. And if you ever forget that- well, you won’t, because I’ll be here to remind you.”
His harsh words made tears form in your eyes as he began to tear your gym clothes off, somehow ripping the lycra in half/
“Dumb baby. Didn’t your parents ever tell you not to let strangers into your home?” He mocked, finally reaching the layer only covered by a bra and panties, you squirmed and shook your head as you sobbed, Ari tutted, “Thought you were nice.” You sniffed as he brushed your hair back, “You thought wrong, button.”
After losing so much energy in fighting Ari while he stripped you of your clothes, ‘I should just give in… It would be much easier, letting him use me until he’s satisfied, then he’d let me go…right?’ You thought.
Ari noticed you stopped fighting and smirked proudly, “What a good little slut. Knowing her place.” He mused, “Just please…be gentle.” You begged softly, h kissed your forehead sweetly, “No.” his fingers entered you with such force that it hurt.
You’d had sex before, but not like this. The first time was awkward but your parents always told you that sex should feel good…this didn’t.
Screaming bloody murder, Ari sighed and grabbed your rabbit stuffie and shoved part of it in your mouth as a gag, “You know, baby, if you’re quiet then maybe I’ll make it feel good for you.” He nodded along slowly, pouting cruelly in the process,.
A sob bubbled out from behind the rabbit as you nodded slowly, “Gonna be quiet? Let me use you like my own dolly?” Ari asked, slowly easing up the rabbit and placing it to the side comfortably when you didn’t scream, “P-please…hurts, Ari. Hurts so bad…” you whimpered, “S’gonna hurt a lot more when I put my dick in you so you’re lucky I’m even giving you prep.” He hissed.
Your hands squeezed the soft pink sheets, “What do you say, baby?” He pressed, you closed your eyes tighter, “Thank you, Ari.” You whimpered, he entered another finger into you and continued to prod places you knew they shouldn’t.
His other hand comes down between you both as he moves to kneel before you, thinking you’d be able to escape you quickly shoot up but before you can even stand Ari has you back underneath him and you’re hitting his chest with your fists.
“Get off me! Please!” You cried hoarsely, tears now flowing freely, he scoffs and begins to undo his belt, “Was gonna be nice and treat you good but after that you’re lucky I don’t fuck your ass.” He spits, tying your wrists with leather.
Now having easier access to his own pants, Ari slips them down his big thighs along with his boxers.
He removes his shirt before climbing over you, he slaps his dick on your face in a degrading way, “You thought my fingers hurt, poppet? My dick is bigger than your whole head. You’re gonna be sore for weeks.” He threatened, you whined and tried to move your hips.
Ari moved back down your body and positioned himself at your entrance, ‘god he was gonna split you in half…’ was your last conscious thought before he rutted into you.
“S-s’too big…gotta…you-“ Words incoherently fell from your lips, “See, honey? This is how girls like you are meant to be. Dick drunk and babbling.” He smirked.
‘Ok so. Maybe it wasn’t that bad’
“Daddy- hhhgn- fuck.” You didn’t mean to let the words slip but the he was so fucking big and it hurt so fucking much, “Daddy, huh? Tell me who your daddy is, little girl. Scream for you daddy.” Ari taunted, now snapping his hips brutally against your own, his pubic hair chafing the skin around your thighs.
“H-hurts, daddy…” Your voice softened as your head felt light, Ari kisses your tears away, rubbing his beard hairs over your cheek in the process, “I know, baby. But you looks so pretty bleeding for me.” He moves a hand between you two and picks up some of you blood of your clit, making you shiver and convulse slightly, he scoops it up and begins to paint it on your tits, “so fuckin’ pretty…”
His voice trails off as the world goes dark.
—————————♡—————————
You wake to a warming sensation in your abdomen as well as an excruciating level of pain, you go to cry out but are muffled by blonde hair covering your senses.
Tuning back into the real world you hear panting near you ear, “Ari…” You mumbled, lids still heavy, he doesn’t even look at you as he sits up, pulling his cock from you along with what felt like half your organs.
As soon as his shaft left your body, you curled up and hugged yourself, feeling hurt and violated, “Taste that, honey.” His hand moves between your legs again and he swipes more of your blood mixed with yours and his come.
Gave me so many good orgasms while you were asleep. Such a good cunt.” He whispers, pushing his fingers past your lips as you taste the vile mixture, “Thank you, daddy.” You garble as the tears cloud your vision.
A proud smile overcomes Ari and he kisses your cheek, “I’ll see you again at the gym, ok, honey? My office is just behind the womens locker room.” He winks, gathering his clothes and leaving the room.
‘Did he own the fucking gym?’
*Mario theme* WELL FUCKERS THAT ESCALATED QUICKLY. I kinda wanna do a series out of this like @balenciagabucky did with midnight train because it’s like my favourite fic series ever.

A Court of Mischief and Purpose, Chapter 20 (Loki x fem! Reader Crossover Series, A Court of Thorns and Roses AU)
Tumblr media
Series Summary: Sarah J Maas's A Court of Thorns and Roses series reimagined with Tom Hiddleston's various characters- Especially the events in the second book: A Court of Mist and Fury. England. 1885. You are dying of tuberculosis right before your upcoming wedding to the Lusty Vicar of Aldwinter, Will Ransome. As you lay on what could be your deathbed, the god of mischief Loki appears before you with a deal. He will heal you in time for the wedding...if you spend a week of every month with him.
Chapter Summary: A sudden confrontation from the enemy...
Chapter Word Count: 4K
Series Masterlist
Warnings: A sex scene that isn't smut. It isn't too explicitly described and is not meant to be super titillating and is brief.
It just occurred to me that said scene, while not explicit, could have what is considered dubious consent. Even if it is in her imagination, even though Reader verbally says "yes" in the fantasy, it is bc she is doing her duty as a wife, I can see how this is considered dub-con and could make some people too uncomfortable to enjoy the chapter. So, for your safety- It scene starts at "Now, hurry and get it over with, Will," and ends at "Then, when he was done-"
Mentions of cheating (I portray the Will/Cora affair in The Essex Serpent unsympathetically so if you have an issue with that, you have been warned). Supporting Women's Wrongs. Violence and blood implied sexual harassment, and fear of sexual assault (but it DOESN'T go there), scary stuff and angsty stuff, but a happy ending. Grammar mistakes and lack of editing or extra super revision bc I just wanted to Get This Shit Done (tm).

When you found the letters on your first wedding day, you had a life already set before you. A life that would take an obtuse turn. Where all would happen…but you would not be happy. You had often wondered if the marriage to the revered went through.
You imagined the scene. One image haunted your mind once you saw the inside of your fiancee's house. Of when he was no longer your fiancee, but swore an oath before his God to be your husband. It was after the ceremony, the celebration where you could only stare blankly at the table, barely eating. And he would hold your hand as the sky got dark and lead you to the white house, ducked his head under the doorframe to go upstairs and commence the wedding night.
You lying on that blue bed. You said “yes”, because you were a dutiful wife. A motionless doll for him to play with, for there was nothing inside you to fight now. Stiff as a board on the bed. You would lift the skirt of your shift on the blue bed. Legs open and eyes open, face away and placid, consenting because it was your duty as a wife now. That was what good women did. Now, hurry and get it over with, Will.
The Lusty Vicar…well, living up to his nickname above you to put it delicately. Hearing him grunt in your ear, and feeling him over you, inside you.
Knowing who he was thinking of. Knowing who he was imagining beneath him, in him. Knowing who it was who made him lose his bearing.
And it wasn’t you.
Your face was turned away despite the position of the act, your eyes not wanting to even look at him. Feeling his sweat and how his curls brushed against you. Hoping he wouldn’t notice. Wouldn’t ask questions. Focusing yourself on the far left corner of the ceiling and not him or what he felt like. Creating a mental distance between the two of you in the ultimate act of physical closeness. You would not fool yourself and let yourself feel the pleasure of the marriage bed now that you knew the truth. You wouldn’t think of how much you wanted him, much less how much you loved him. Thinking of what you’d make for breakfast, what the next sermon should be on, or the dishes that needed to be washed tomorrow. Not on Will as he was on you, in you.
Then, when he was done- after he read his Bible on his lap, quietly reading aloud the verses, making a note to skip the fifth chapter of Matthew, verses twenty-seven through thirty.
You would make yourself small. In a feral position with the covers of the marital bed over you. You were a woman now in the town- wedded and bedded. But you wanted to be a child. You wanted to run back home to your father and mother in tears, knowing that a good cry and a little chocolate and tea would make everything better. But no. You weren’t a child anymore. You were a woman wedded and bedded. You were a wife. A priest's wife. A priest's unwanted wife.
You wouldn’t be able to quiet your mind to dream. It would be repeating that question, endlessly, on your lips, knowing it would ruin everything the minute you said it- “Why am I not good enough for you?”
But you wouldn’t speak. A wife never considers herself, she only considers what makes her husband happy. You’d stare at the wall. Waiting for him to fall asleep, tears quietly streaming down your face. You would have melted over the erotic sight of his strong upper body normally- but it wasn’t yours. He wasn’t for you. Not really.
Then, when you were certain he was asleep, you would quietly get up and leave the room.
You ended up wandering to his study. You turned on his lamp by the window. Perhaps you should try to read a dull, intellectual, dense book of his on theology to make you sleepy. But your eyes would only be drawn to the walls.
The green, elaborate wallpaper with vines, branches, and leaves, both golden and emerald. A few white flowers in bloom. You would walk to see more of it.
What struck you most was the image of a white bird with its wings stretched open. It flew over the leaves of various green and yellow branches. Among white and blue flowers in bloom- of a new, exciting life, of promise. And most of all, the animal stretching its ivory wings as if ruled over all. Like it could escape the paper easily, soar over your head, and out the window.
How you wished you could turn into that bird. So you could stretch your wings and fly far away from the town. From him. And leave it all behind for a new place, a new life.
But you couldn’t.
You would go downstairs, past the kitchen, to the main room. downstairs to curl up on the cushions before the window overlooking the wild marshland, the town. And let yourself sob.
Thank the norns Loki called in his deal when he did. You didn’t know what would happen. He’d call in the deal, but by then, it would be too late.
I’m not in that house, I’m in the woods, you reminded yourself.
Giving a deep breath through the woodsy, clean air, you made a mental note. You’d have to give your husband, the one that was your actual husband, who was not a godly husband but a plain old god husband- that long-awaited thank you. You didn’t think you could bear going through the marriage or have the scarlet letter for jilting him at the altar without an escape plan.
You thought you would just stay in Asgard. Take care of the cauldron and Grendel all neat in a little bow. Then things changed.
You would not be that passive, sobbing victim anymore.
You had fought. You managed to take your revenge, completely.
It wasn’t the right thing to do. It wasn’t healthy. But gods, was it freeing.
As you walked further into the woods. A small laugh of relief even chuckled through you. The release, the ridiculousness, and the awe that you had done it- destroyed Will’s ministry, and his reputation, and brought physical harm to both him and Cora all without getting caught.
But…did they survive? That was quite a flame on her. It would be the same for him.
Pausing, touching a tree, you had to think it through. Develop a plan.
If they lived and said something, then the better for you. That would confirm the rumors of the affair, damning both in society. No person would want to associate with Cora at least after that. The visiting council would strip Will of his position with the evidence before them. The superstitious town would be convinced that God had stricken them as punishment for hurting his little Blessed lady. For none knew of your gifts. And none would think you even capable of any act of harm from your reputation as the town’s angel. Besides, none of them knew of your powers. How could even Cora, in her scientific high and mighty mind come up with the solution of why her coat burst into flames when you were far away?
If they lived and said nothing, then at least Will would get in some hot water over what happened.
If they died, then they died. It was their deserving death.
You paused. No, how could you dismiss that? To think- you took two more lives. Not just some nameless bullies, but two people who you met, you knew their names, their histories, and one you loved and were about to marry…you were capable of that! You did something horrible! There was more blood on your hands!
You heard the sound of a branch being stepped on from the distance behind you.
What if Cora survived and ran right after you!? Likely she would. What would you do? With the fury still in your heart, perhaps take out more of her fire and toast her in a place without witnesses until her body dissolved to ash so there would be no evidence. But what if she caught you? You could see her face twisted in her ugly crying and feel her slapping and punching you.
Not that you would have to deal with her. You were headed off somewhere she could never reach. Not even by train.
Taking a deep breath, you let those thoughts of Will and Cora go away. You were done with Aldwinter forever now. Revenge had been taken and was successful. You wanted to see your friends, your in-laws, and your True Love again. You wanted your new home.
You paused in your steps. The trees growing so thick over your head it hid the sunlight and made the woods a little darker.
There was another crunch of feet on leaves. Someone was arriving. No more time for dallying.
You opened the shield. You sent the words clear in your mind.
“Loki…I’m ready to go home…Open the portal. I want to go back to Asgard now.”
You waited one minute. Then another.
But nothing happened. The birds were barely chirping and the air was cold. Shivering, you blinked as you tried not to panic.
“Loki, I am ready now. It’s done. Open the portal, take me back to Asgard.”
Nothing. You heard none of his witty replies or promises or cheekiness. And you saw no portals. Much less Loki. There was only the rustling of the trees.
Did…did he have his shield up? Why? Did something happen in Asgard? You should keep trying.
Then…you heard something- more footsteps.
It was more than one person.
But, you heard more than one footstep. Was it a party of men? In the evenings they would go to the marshes, hunting for serpents and trickster gods with torches, scanning the waters and fields. Some began setting up charms so that their daughters would be safe. Did they realize you were missing and send a search party…
You saw one man, then two, then four. No torches, they were smirking at you like wolves with a plump, injured lamb.
You felt your stomach drop. They were Gerndel’s army.
One stepped forward with short blonde hair and was overly muscular.
“Ah…looks like we’ve caught you. Right where we want to,” he said.
You felt their eyes on your nightgown. Peeking at how your body’s outline could be seen, your breasts hinted at, and feel the air of unwanted lust. And you were one woman surrounded by men.
Terrified, you held out a hand to release fire to them.
But no flames emerged from your hand.
Hurriedly, you tried again. But nothing. Your breaths came fast and shallow and you could feel yourself shaking. They snickered as they walked forward slowly. Knowing no matter what pace they set, they would win.
You retreated, realizing they were going to back you into a tree, as you tried to back into one, they would still keep a steady pace. There was nowhere to run or hide. Bile ran up in your throat. You fought back the urge to cry. You began to gasp for air, seeing their smiles, their eyes bright over you. One unsheathed his sword with a sliiiick, and the blade gleamed brightly in the dark woods. Silver and spotless and ready to be soaked with your blood.
You tried flicking a hand again, but there were no flames. You realized your senses were dulled- you couldn’t feel or hear any presence besides the four men before you and the dark, consuming woods.
“Ah, ah, ah! Someone took a little bit of our old friend’s apples.” The blonde one taunted.
“You’ve…you’ve poisoned me!?” you cried, your voice becoming shrill.
Another, a gentleman with dark brown hair, tall and lanky, shook his head with a half laugh.
“If you dropped dead right now…where would be the fun in that? Oh, not poison. Just a littke Kunigr potion. ”
You remembered the arrow that drained Loki of his magic in Jotunheim. Then you recalled the apple, the only thing you ate today. It struck you…your mother got those apples from a new grocer in town….
It all came into place. Panic made you shake, your throat and chest tight. The brown-haired man lifted his finger, beckoning you teasingly.
“Now…come with us…we can have some fun with you if you don’t struggle. You won’t get a scratch on you…for now. And won’t Grendel be thrilled when we hear who we caught?”
You steadied your breathing. You had to steady yourself- or enough that you could act, that you could fight. Hoping, praying to whatever god was out there, the Christian God, the trickster god, anyone, that your training was enough.
The brown-haired one approached you. Quick as lightning, you punched his jaw and then kicked his groin. As he backed down, his grip on his sword loosened as he groaned in pain. In one brief second, you kicked his hand. His hold loosened and the sword fell. Quickly, you grabbed the sword by the hilt and pointed forward. You were terrified, but you would not give up. Not yet.
“Ah, now, this kitty’s got claws!” the blonde one mocked mocked.
You steeled yourself, pointing the sword. Making your hold steady.
“What, haven’t you considered that you’re outnumbered?” said the third, another brunette with a scar across his face.
You stepped forward, speaking with the powerful venom you could muster.
“Do you expect me to surrender that easily? I will not. I am the Princess of Asgard, beloved wife of the God of Mischief, and third in line to the throne. I may have lost my magic, but I am not untrained in other methods of slaughtering all of you. I have killed, I just killed, and I will kill again. And I will not die here without a fight.”
They all got out their swords.
“That’s enough chatter,” replied the first blonde.
They charged. As did you.
Thrusting the sword forward, gritting your teeth, you stabbed through the gut of one. Blood erupted and he let out a cry. He wouldn’t last long, and you pulled out the sword to hasten his meeting with his maker. As the second tried to grab you, you merely dodged low, his sword through the air. His lower body was left open. You stabbed him through the groin- quickly in and out, blood bursting into gushes as he screamed in pain.
Blood dripped from your sword in its coppery scent. One attacked you and you blocked with your sword, the metal clinging as it stung the air. You swirled around. Stabbing and cutting. Dodging blows and putting up a fight. But they were advancing on you and you had to block two swords, it was harder to keep up.
There were shouts. You turned your head and saw a glimpse that almost loosened your bladder at the sight-
Five more men were coming. Five more of Grendel’s men. You heard the swords being unsheathed and saw them glimmer even in the woods.
They were now in sight and joined their two brethren.
They were right, you were outnumbered. Seven to one. And they were starting to circle you.
Though your muscles ached from the sword, and your nightgown was splattered in some blood-you couldn’t let them win easily. You fought the urge to tremble, to cry. And you held your ground, your sword pointed. You knew your death was arriving sooner with every second, every step of their feet. Your heart hammering despite your aching muscles. You had to keep going. Somehow. Someway. You gritted your teeth and held up your sword to fight until the end. That at least you would face your end with dignity.
They raised their sword to strike at you, and you raised yours, ready to fight this futile battle and-
There was a loud, metallic growl from the distance. A sound you never heard before. So loud, that it rattled the trees. Then another.
Grendel’s men stopped and turned their heads with wide eyes. You couldn’t help but pause in wonder.
It got louder and louder and louder, something was coming. The men looked among themselves. You took their distraction to start to flee, and you made it to a tree when something pierced your field of vision.
Turning back, you saw bright lights.
Their heads turned and they grew pale, holding out arms to block the lights.
One of them grabbed you, dragging you by the collar, almost hoisting you up as you faced him, his eyes glaring into you and his blade ready at you.
“I’ll-I’ll stab you twenty times through your cunt, you little bitch!” he growled.
The sword was knocked from his hand and he cried in surprise. His grip loosened.
You both looked.
There was the sound and two lights ran by with the whirring-it then revealed what it was-
It was the thing Loki told you about. A motorcycle- and a man on it with a helmet- one hand on the steering wheel and the other around a pistol pointed at him.
The man said no reply until a bullet hit him in the shoulder. He let go of you and cried in pain.
You gasped at your rescuer- adn then realized the source of the bright lights-the other thing Loki told you about.
Through the woods, bursting through like a chariot was a car. The men of Grendel all stood, staring agape. But the motorcyclist held up his gun, pointing.
Out from the car, emerged Robert.
“Y/N! Y/N! Hurry- come in!” he urged.
“Get in the car, now!” he cried.
You let out a gasp and could have cried. You hurried to them. The men gritted their teeth and raised swords-
The motorcyclist said nothing as he lifted his weapon and aimed, quickly but steadily. The gun was fired with a loud crack in the air.
One of the goons dropped dead.
Only one of your friends you knew was capable of that, and would come from an era where he knew how to do that-
“Jonathan!” you cried out.
His helmet was still focused his gun raised. His voice distorted, but you knew it was him. Not daring to take it off to give himself a target for them to hurt him.
“The Princess of Asgard with us- let her come with us. And no one gets hurt.”
“YN! Hurry!” Robert urged.
You would not look at the scene as Jonathan began to shoot more at those who attacked. You turned on your heels and ran into the car’s side door, slamming the door shut.
You followed and jumped in. A far cry from any run-of-the-mill carriage you had been! The velvet, soft seats, and big, wide windows and space. You saw the knobs and turns and levers from the front. You covered your ears as bullets rang out. When you peeked back, the men of Grendel were dead.
Jonathan turned to Robert, nodding his head.
Jonathan got out his watch and clicked it.
“Time to go to Heimdall, let’s hurry,” Robert urged.
A portal opened in the woods.
Robert stepped on a pedal, and moved the wheel- he drove through the portal. There was a flash of bright, rainbow light swirling about you.
You landed on the other side, in a golden room. With the night sky in a large window before all. Then Robert hit the brake and parked. Jonathan’s motorcycle followed after.
You noticed a man standing in the center of the room. He walked to you, and at first, you were intimidated. There was an incredibly tall, broad man with piercing yellow eyes matching the gold of his armor and his helmet.
He spoke in a deep powerful voice- he could have been the new king of Asgard and you would have accepted it.
“Well, you both made it.”
His head turned. His golden eyes easily spotted you, not squinting though you were far away. Despite his intimidating presence, his face softened. He gave you a small bow in respect.
“I am glad for our Princess’s safe return,” he said.
“We got her just in time. Can’t blame her for being shaken,” Robert confirmed.
“Yes, I saw it all. Now hurry, all of you. All of the castle is worried for her.”
Robert drove by pulling the wheel, and then the car went down the rainbow bridge. Jonathan’s motorcycle was right behind, whirring along. Looking out, you finally realized- you felt like that white bird in flight at last. Wings stretched out, the beautiful world before you. Not only safe, not only loved- but free.
The blue sky and sun shone. The gentlest summer day. The sea that formed around you in a crystal blue-green. And you almost tore at the outline of the glittering, golden city, Asgard as it got closer, until you were driving through its streets. Passing commoners with astonished faces.
Tears welled up in your eyes as you turned to the doctor driving.
“Robert! Oh, Robert!” you cried. “You -came for me! You both did!”
Robert looked at you with a gentle smile, the speed of the car steady.
“You don’t have to be frightened, Y/N. You’re with us now- you’ll be fine,” he assured you.
You went over and kissed his cheek chastely. “Thank you!”
“Save some for Jonathan too!” he replied with a wink. He was still Robert. And Jonathan would still be Jonathan. Each of them- your friends, your friends! You were going to see them all again!
Excitement gurgled in you as Robert parked the car outside the palace. The guard's eyes flickered to the contraption, as well as the motorcycle. Jonathan parked it and then took off his helmet, his eyes serious, but his shoulder dipping in relaxation and a small smile on his face.
You ran over and gave him a big hug and he hugged you back.
“I’m glad you’re okay,” he said.
“I’m glad too,” you said.
“Now, I think it’s time you’ve reunited with your husband,” he announced.
They escorted you right into the palace through the hallways and into the throne room. You were astonished to see so many of them there, sitting and pacing about in worry. Thor and Hal were talking quietly. Thomas sitting on the steps next to Stella, doing embroidery anxiously. Queen Frigga remained as composed as she could as Sif paced around.
They all turned and there were smiles and gasps. They took in your nightgown and the blood and you- alive and breathing and seeming physically well.
At once they all gasped your name and charged into you, saying your name. Sif’s eyes flickered to Robert and then back to you.
“Did you give them hel?” she asked.
You nodded, showing her the bloodied sword still in your hand. “I gave it to all who wronged me back there, and didn’t spare Grendel’s men from it.”
She smirked. “That’s my girl.”
Stella ran forward and hugged you.
“YN! Oh, YN! You poorest thing! You gave us all a fright! I thought I would cry- I thought you would be gone forever! I missed you so much!”
You hugged her back.
“Don’t worry, I got scared-but I’ll be fine.”
Thor at once charged forward. He hugged you and lifted you so your feet didn’t touch the ground. He shook you around, hugging you like an overexcited toddler with their beloved toy.
“SISTER! My dear Sister! You are RETURNED! How victorious! My brother said he missed your signal and it FRIGHTENED him! Why, thank the NORNS!”
Hal patted at Thor and he let you down. You welcomed him with a hug.
“Well, I’m royalty as well, dear lady. You shall have no bows from me, yet the title suits you- to see you returned alive and triumphant!”
You hugged him back. “Hal, thank you!”
You then hugged Thomas as well.
“You gave Loki a scare- all of us.”
“My powers were taken away- they have to come back with time. But I’m fine- Jonathan and Robert saved me before I could get hurt,” you assured him.
Frigga even embraced you. She smiled.
“I hoped you and Loki would both realize how much you loved each other. And I thought I would never see you both happy together…I can’t even speak right now.”
She let go and cupped your face and then kissed your forehead.
“You are of Asgard now, and I welcome and bless your union and you with all of my heart,” she said.
You could have teared up.
“But, speaking of unions…where is he? Where is my husband?” you asked, looking around.
Thor folded his arms.
“He was getting the army of Asgard to go to the forest. He got scared that perhaps Jonathan and Robert wouldn’t be enough- they were preparing to search for you, but-”
You heard footsteps. And several voices.
But one stood out
Though it was a voice exactly like so many in your life, past and present, there was no denying whose name it belonged to. His voice.
“YN! YN!! All of you- stand and run firm! Destroy any who dare touch a hair on your princess’s head! Where is-”
Loki hurried forth, several guards and soldiers of Asgard behind him. His black and green robes with little gold embellishments. Typical of him, but with his black curls, ivory skin, and blue eyes, he never looked so beautiful to you before this moment. His eyes met yours and you paused. He froze, blinking. His boots almost skidded to a halt as you took each other in for a second.
Tears welling up some, you replied in a small voice. “I thought I’d never see you again, darling.”
Loki seemed to turn white, and you saw his hands shake at his sides. He frantically checked the others in the crowd. “Is this some illusion? Did mother-”
Robert clapped your back.
“We got her. This isn’t an illusion, Loki. She’s here,” he assured the god.
You cupped your mouth and he stood, breathing fast, crying tears coming out from you despite your smile. He walked again, faster, hurrying through, as if he would tear through each realm to touch you again.
You ran right into each other's arms. He picked you up and turned you again. You broke into crying again. You curled a hand behind his dark hair, kissing his lips and then his cheek and any part of him. A sound came out of you like laughter.
“Loki- Loki darling, I’m here! I’m right here!”
He broke the hug and then cupped your face.
“Are you hurt? What happened? I lost your signal! The one you promised me!”
Sniffling, you began to recount what happened.
“You were right to be worried, Loki. I was tricked into eating a Kunnigr apple. My magic was drained by the time Grendel’s men cornered me…I held them off for as long as I could. Then reinforcements came. Robert and Jonathan hurried in before I could be made prisoner or worse. They brought me here!”
There were big eyes as the others took in this information.
He hugged you again. You felt yourself shake some, crying, laughing, as if every emotion at once was washing inside you.
“How I missed you all, and…husband–my…my husband! My dear! I missed you most of all! I love you, darling! Loki- thank you! You saved me! You brought me back!”
“I would have torn Midgard to pieces to get you back- I love you, my wife,” he replied.
Your heart bursting at the fresh word, spoken from his mouth instead of in your mind, you kissed him on the lips again. Soft, but eager, demanding. Wanting to touch him, reacquaint with him. And never let go no matter what.
Hal was smiling wide and Stella was blushing pink. Jonathan looked down, trying not to laugh. Frigga merely then began to wave them off with her long sleeves. Turning away discreetly.
“Everyone…I think it’s best we let the couple have some privacy…” she suggested. Everyone gave a farewell smile, with a promise of a return.
Loki only held your hands and hurried you through the halls, the guards not behind you, right to where his chambers were.
“But…Grendel, the cauldron-what will we do?” you asked.
Loki caught you in his arms and you gasped. Carrying you, he led you to the threshold of his private room. He smiled mischievously.
“I think the Grendel matter could wait for a few minutes, don’t you agree?” your true love asked.

author’s note: Well. I had this idea last year and it started out as very self indulgent fic that was originally going to just be a porn without a plot, that somehow turned into a lengthy 5k+ fic. Also I haven't written for Ransom in two years so please be kind.
pairing: ransom drysdale x mixed!rich girl! reader
warnings: featured tropes are: exes to lovers, childhood sweethearts, forced proximity, there was only one bed. angst, cheating, ransom being an asshole, soft! ransom!
summary: Y/N and Ransom's reunion ignites a spark of hope for a potential reconciliation, but the past still lingers between them.
𝐌𝐚𝐢𝐧 𝐌𝐚𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭 | 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝 𝐨𝐧 𝐀𝐎𝟑
She never liked high society gatherings. Endless chatter and clashed spoons against expensive china teacups were simply not her cup of tea. She knew that she was born with a silver spoon in her mouth, and she didn't take it for granted. However, she also understood that it could be taken away from her just as quickly as it was given.
When Harlan passed away, Y/N was away at college, and she didn't fully process the news until she returned home. When she received an invitation to a High Tea party in Harlan's honor, deep down, she knew she had to go.
Harlan was more than a friend—he was like a family to her. He provided food, water, clothes, and a roof over her head when no one else would. Even though the parties bored Y/N, she knew that she owed it to Harlan to attend, and she felt guilty that she was so easily uninterested. She kept reminding herself, It's for a good cause, and you owe it to Harlan.
Y/N had been allowing her tea to go cold for quite some time now. As she raised the ceramic cup to her lips, she made the mistake of meeting her ex-boyfriend's cerulean gaze. Her heart skipped a beat, fear and excitement mingling in equal parts.
She spots a familiar face from across the room—one that she knows all too well.
Ransom stood from across the room, his arms crossed against his chest and a wicked grin plastered across his face as cerulean eyes bore into hers. She freezes for a split second, trying to process this unexpected turn of events. He shouldn't be here. How has no one else noticed him or at least greeted him at the door? A part of her begins to wonder if this is just a figment of her imagination—a product of sheer boredom from having to entertain pointless small talk with the older women at her table.
In what feels like mere seconds, Ransom is beckoning her over to him, index finger curled. Her mind is reeling, her heart hammering in her chest as she realizes that he's sure to make a scene if she refuses. She knows that he doesn't take rejection well. He's never been one to react well to being told no, or to anything getting in the way of him getting his way.
She slowly lowers her tea cup and saucer, her eyes still captivated by his. As she lowers her cup, it falls, pouring warm tea down the front of her dress. She gasps, just managing to catch the china cup before it hits the ground and shatters. When she stands from her seat, all eyes are on her. One of the ladies gives her a sympathetic glance and says, "Oh no. Why don't you get that all cleaned up, dear?"
Despite the discomfort of all the attention, she forces a small smile and makes her way across the room, sliding between the other tables in front of her. She finally makes her way across the room. "What are you doing here?" Y/N whispers to him, a hint of anger in her voice.
"What? No greeting? Not even a simple 'Hey, how are you?' I'm so happy to see you again." Ransom replies in a hushed, sarcastic tone, a mischievous grin plastered on his face.
"It's not nice to see you," she retorts, raising a brow and crossing her arms.
As he looks at the damp patch on her dress, she narrows her eyes. He gives her an impish look, and she feels the urge to grab him and demand answers. She knows it is not a coincidence that he showed up. But instead of reacting, she takes a deep breath and pushes past him.
As she hurries into the bathroom, she grabs a few paper towels and dabs at the wet patch on her dress. She mentally curses herself for letting Ransom distract her. Her mother had gifted her the dress for the event. An event that was supposed to be about Harlan. She sighed, shaking her head. Y/N was still processing his death, even though it had been several weeks after his funeral.
Her thoughts quickly shift back to Ransom. How dare he think he could just waltz back into her life after years of not being around. As she fixed her dress, she tried to calm her racing heart and take deep breaths to steady herself. She couldn't let Ransom ruin the entirety of her day. She needed to stay strong and not let him get to her.
As the bathroom door creaks open, Y/N sees Ransom's reflection in the mirror, making her jaw clench in frustration. "So," he starts, walking over to her by the sink, "our connection is still so strong that you can't help but spill tea when you see me, huh?" His voice is teasing, as if he's enjoying watching her squirm. He knows he’s pushing her limits but, he’s missed her and can’t help but tease her about the incident now that they’re away from prying eyes.
Even though she knows she shouldn't give him the satisfaction, she can't help but feel a twinge of anger at his words. She turns to face him, trying not to let her emotions show on her face. It's hard to maintain a cool facade when all she wants to do is scream at him for his arrogance. She takes a deep breath and gathers herself. She won't let him win. She won't give him the satisfaction of seeing her react. She'll stay calm and collected, no matter what he says or does.
"Please don't flatter yourself. It's just a dress, and I'm used to dealing with spills," she snaps, turning back to the mirror. "And better yet, I'm used to dealing with men who don't respect boundaries." She seethes, her voice dripping with contempt. She hated how he could get under her skin so easily. So much for trying to stay calm.
"Oh? So I'm just a man who doesn't respect your boundaries, eh?" he grins, leaning against the counter with his arms crossed. He watches her pat dry her dress, his taunting smile widening. "You know, I remember a time when you loved it when I invaded your space."
She ignores his gaze, now fixing her curls. "Yeah, well that was when I was young and foolish and it was before you broke your promise." Her voice is cold, her anger evident in every word.
She refuses to let Ransom win this argument, no matter how much he tries to provoke her. She's better than that, and she won't let him get the best of her. She tries to steady her breathing and focus on the task at hand, refusing to let him take up any more space in her head.
Ransom chuckles, shaking his head. “You can lie to yourself all you want, but we both know you still have feelings for me. I can see it in your eyes when you look at me, even now.” His words pierce through her defenses, making her feel vulnerable. But she won’t let him control her, and she certainly won’t let him weaken her resolve.
Y/N finishes touching up her appearance. She straightens out her pink floral dress before turning to him. “I’m sure you would like that but, I have a boyfriend. And he’s..perfect. And ten times better than you.” She makes her way toward the door when Ransom grabs her wrist tightly.
His grip was rough and firm. "Don't even think about comparing our relationship to whatever you have now. You and I had something real, something special," he growls, his voice low and threatening. He forcefully grabs her by the waist, pulling her closer to him as he leans in to whisper in her ear. "Don't you remember?" His breath on her skin sends shivers down her spine.
She can't deny how he's making her feel: confusion, anger, frustration, panic. But she still won't let him weaken her resolve. She's stubborn and would rather die than admit he's right. Her anger boils up again, coursing through her veins. "Ransom, let me go!" She grits through her teeth, her eyes glancing around nervously as she hears footsteps outside the bathroom door.
As soon as they hear the knob to the bathroom door turning, Ransom instinctively grabs her by the arm and pulls her into the bathroom stall. Y/N's heart beats faster at the fact that she's this close to him, his chest an inch away from hers.
She notices his soft, expensive black suit, his hair perfectly pulled back. His cologne, sharp and intense, instantly invades her nostrils like the biting cold of winter wind. He raises an index finger to his lips, cautioning her to stay quiet.
She rolls her eyes and looks away, hoping they won't get caught. She can't afford to be seen by the other ladies, who would surely spread the rumor around town. Holding her breath, she peeks through the crack in the bathroom stall door as the older ladies, dressed in matching pastel silk dresses and sparkling pearl earrings, gather by the sink. The ladies all look so prim and proper, each one talking softly in a hushed tone like they are in church. Y/N feels like she is going to choke on her breath, but she keeps silent.
"That's Mrs. Wellington. If we keep our voices low, she won't even hear us," Ransom whispers, his gaze piercing through her soul. His knuckles trail down her arm, and goosebumps ghost over her skin. "Does that boyfriend know how to touch you? Does he know how to kiss you?"
His voice was barely above a whisper, his tone husky. He’s testing her. He knows she can’t make a scene unless she wants to risk getting caught. He’s got her cornered and he enjoys it immensely.
His words pierce her heart like a dagger, rekindling the pain and emotions Ransom once caused. At this moment, her resolve wavers, and for a moment, she struggles to maintain the anger she felt only moments before. She turns to face him, her eyes locked on his. Her voice is determined as she speaks, but there's an undercurrent of sadness in her words.
"I'm better off without you."
She knows it's a lie, but she says it with such conviction as if she's trying to convince herself as much as him. But she can’t deny that she's not ready to let him go, despite all the pain he's caused. She still holds out hope that things will work out between them, even though she knows it's a naive wish.
The air in the room feels thick with tension. Ransom leans back, putting his large hand on her shoulder. She thinks for a moment that he believes her. Suddenly, they both hear the clicking of heels as Mrs. Wellington, the head of the group, dressed in a bright teal silk dress, walks by with the other women. Their coiffed hair forms perfect crowns upon their heads as they exit the bathroom.
She dashes towards the door, but she feels Ransom grab her wrist again. His annoyance is evident in his voice as he questions her. "Do you really think you can lie to me after all these years?" He asks. "I just need to know that you feel the same way about him as you used to feel about me."
Y/N looks at Ransom, searching for sincerity in his eyes, and she finds it. She can't bring herself to lie about loving her boyfriend. Or the fact that she’s hurt him deeply, the pain evident in the way he’s looking at her. She opens her mouth to speak, but nothing comes out. She's speechless. Tears start to flood her eyes, and she shakes her head, whispering, "I can't... I can't do this."
With that, she pulls herself away from Ransom’s grasp and rushes out of the bathroom, leaving him behind.
One week later,
Linda Drysdale had invited Y/N and her mother to Harlan's old house. They hadn't seen her since she had left for college, and part of her was excited to see them. But another part of her felt nervous. She still hadn't gotten over what had happened between her and Ransom, an event that had been replaying in her mind like a broken record.
Ransom was like a phantom, with him invading her mind even more than before. She knew there was a chance that he'd be there, as it was his family's house. Just the thought of having to deal with him made her stomach churn.
The ride over to Harlan's estate was quick, with Y/N trying her best to act fine. But despite her efforts, she couldn't help but feel her mother's concerned gaze. When her mom touched her shoulder and asked her if she was okay, she forced a smile on her lips and said she was fine. But she was far from it.
When they parked in the driveway and stepped out of the car, Y/N took a deep breath before knocking on the door with her mother beside her. Linda answered the door and greeted them with a hug, putting her at ease. “Oh, I'm so happy you guys could make it,” she beamed as she pulled them both into her embrace. “And look at you,” she said, taking a good look at Y/N. “You look so grown-up! Come in, dinner is almost ready.” Linda stepped aside and let them walk inside.
As they walked past the foyer, Y/N noticed that the house was just how she remembered it. The living room was expansive, smelling as if Harlan had still been alive there. The aromas of the musty bookshelves, tobacco smoke from his old pipe, and the woodsy scent from the handmade furniture all came together to create a unique and nostalgic fragrance.
For a moment, she felt at ease until Linda called out from the kitchen. "Ransom! Come down here, dinner is ready!" Her heart dropped in her chest as she heard the floorboards creak above her, followed by the sight of Ransom descending the stairs.
He gave her a smug smile, seeing the look of shock on her face."What? You didn't think I'd ditch my own family's dinner party, did you?" he asked, his tone playful but with a hint of triumph.
She was left speechless as Ransom walked into the dining room, her shock almost enough to leave her unable to move. But she recovered quickly and followed him into the room, surprised to see that everyone had already taken their seats. Linda sat with her mother on one side of the table, and Richard was at the head of the table, leaving Y/N to sit between her mother and Ransom.
Feeling her heart pounding, she forced a nervous smile and took her seat next to Ransom, determined not to let her fear show on her face. Throughout the course of the meal, she felt his gaze linger on her every so often. But she kept her true feelings hidden beneath a forced smile.
Moments after dinner ended, Linda began to cry. Richard leaned over the table, holding her hands and asking, "Honey, what's wrong?"
"It's nothing, really. I was just thinking about Harlan and how happy he would have been to see us all together. He adored the two of you so much." Linda replied, wiping her tears and nodding at Y/N and Ransom.
Y/N offered Linda a grateful smile, transported back to the times she had spent at Harlan's country estate. As she sat there, wrapped up in memories and emotions, she felt her heart ache.
Eight years ago.
Y/N and Ransom laughed as they ran down the halls of Harlan’s country estate. She suddenly darted into one of the studies, jumping onto the desk in the middle of the room. Ransom sauntered over to her.
"Bad move," he said as he approached, his eyes full of mirth. She smirked and shrugged, feeling his hands grip her chin. His thumb grazed over the soft skin of her jawline. He was now only an inch away from her. His arms caged her in, with both of his hands resting on the desk on either side of her hips.
"I missed you today," Ransom whispered, looking down at her lips. A playful glint shone in his eyes as he drew her face closer to his own, their lips almost touching. Her heart raced, knowing that he was just waiting for her to make the first move.
"I've caught you now," He said, his voice low and mischievous. "What's my prize?"
Y/N blushed, her chest rising and falling quickly as she tried to catch her breath. "You can have...anything you want," she gazed up at him with her eyes, trying to not make it obvious that she was feeling nervous. Ransom's smirk widened, and he leaned in again, moving his lips close to her ear, a low murmur filled the air. "Anything I want, huh?" he whispered, his breath tickling her skin. Her body tensed up, not sure how she should react to his words.
She was suddenly snapped out of her thoughts as she heard the sound of dishes being cleared by the butler. Richard stretched and looked out the window. "Well, I'll be damned," he said, shaking his head as he took in the sight of the heavy rain outside. Linda's eyes widened at the sight of the storm. "Oh no.  We can't let you leave in that kind of weather," Linda said. "You can stay the night. We have plenty of room, you know that."
Her mother stood up from the table. "I appreciate it, Linda, but I don't want to impose. I know you're still grieving."
"Don't be ridiculous! We insist. It wouldn't be right if we left you to brave the storm," She insisted.
Y/N's heart raced at the thought of spending the night with Ransom. As she followed her mother into the living room, she felt a mix of anxiousness and excitement. Her eyes darted around the room, taking in the sight of the storm raging outside the windows. She knew it wouldn't be easy to sleep in the same room as Ransom, especially with their history. But the thought of being close to him again, even if it was just for one night, made her stomach flutter with anticipation.
The storm seemed to mirror the tension between her and Ransom, each drop of rain a symbol of the emotions that threatened to overflow and burst, just like the storm. The sound of the rain against the windows created a haunting ambiance in the room, adding to the awkwardness of the conversation.
As Linda and Richard joined them, her dread only intensified. She tried to hide her discomfort but she could feel the tension building like the storm outside. She wished they would leave before things got any worse.
"Your mother can take the guest bedroom," Linda said. "And, Y/N, we don't have another empty room here. You and Ransom will have to share a room. I'm not ready to clean out Harlan's room just yet." Her tone was melancholic as she spoke as if she didn't want to burden Y/N with her request. Y/N's guilt grew with every passing moment, knowing she had no choice but to comply with the request.
Ransom tried to suppress a grin, which only made the situation worse. She felt as though the floor was rising and falling beneath her, the weight of the situation crushing her like a ton of bricks. Her thoughts raced with dread, wondering how she could possibly share a room with her ex and still keep her sanity.
As everyone went to their assigned bedrooms, Y/N stood there, contemplating her options. Sleeping on the couch in the living room wouldn't be a good idea since she would have to explain herself, but sleeping with Ransom was even worse.
She knew she wouldn't get any rest, no matter what she did. "Shall we?" Ransom asked, the smirk on his face growing wider. She let out a heavy sigh and shoved past him up the stairs, his presence behind her like a dark shadow.
The bedroom was lavish, with a black, modern desk filled with papers and pens, a tall wooden bookshelf, a spacious walk-in bathroom, and a king-sized bed with black, modern sheets and a leather ottoman at the end. It was a far cry from her simple bedroom back home, and she felt out of place as she sat down on the edge of the bed. Ransom followed, sitting down next to her, and reached over to tuck a strand of her hair that had fallen in her face.
She swallowed the lump in her throat and tried to ignore the warmth that spread through her body as his fingers grazed her skin. They sat there in silence, the intensity between them palpable. Y/N could feel her heart racing, knowing this was not how she wanted her visit back home to go. As she looked around the room, she couldn't help but feel uneasy and uncomfortable in the situation.
Y/N shrugged Ransom's hand away and got up from the bed, crossing her arms against her chest. She took a deep breath before speaking, determined to make her boundaries clear. "Okay, let's get something straight," she said firmly, her eyes locking onto Ransom's. "We are not sleeping in the same bed! Absolutely not!"
To her surprise, Ransom let out a light chuckle and his arrogant smirk reappeared on his smug face, making her heart race with a mix of irritation and attraction. She tried to ignore it, reminding herself that this situation was temporary and that she can make it through this. "And where would you have me sleep?" Ransom asked, a mocking tone in his voice, making her stomach knot with anger.
She shook her head with frustration, refusing to let him get under her skin. Despite her desire to see him suffer, she knew it was best to keep her emotions in check. "I don't know, but definitely not in the same bed as me," she replied, feeling the awkwardness in the room mounting with each word.
Ransom's eyebrows raised, and for a moment, she felt a twinge of guilt, knowing she was pushing him away. She took a step back, trying to distance herself from him, and repeated her boundaries with more force. "I don't care," she repeated, her voice getting louder with each word. "I'm not sharing a bed with you."
His smile faded, and his expression grew serious as he realized Y/N was not going to change her mind. "Fine," he said, his tone low but not unkind. He turned to the couch and sat down, letting out a heavy sigh as he ran a hand through his hair.
Another wave of guilt washed over her at the sight of him sitting there, alone on the couch. Maybe she had been a little too harsh. But she reminded herself that she had set her boundaries, and sticking to them was important. She stood up and made her way over to the couch, sitting down next to him, and nervously fumbled with her fingers.
"Look, I'm sorry," she said, keeping her voice low. "I know this is a weird situation, but I need to stick to my boundaries. I'll take the couch, and you can have the bed, okay?"
He chuckled softly and shook his head, a small smile on his face. "Y/N, we're both adults," he said with a small grin, his eyes meeting hers. "What's the big deal with us sharing a bed for one night?"
Despite his light tone, Y/N couldn't help but feel a wave of anxiety wash over her. A part of her wanted to trust Ransom and let down the walls she built up, but another part of her reminded her to keep her guard up. Reluctantly, she shook her head again. "I'm just not comfortable with it," she said softly. "I'll be fine on the couch."
Ransom nodded slowly, acknowledging her decision, but she couldn't help but feel the weight of his disappointment. Without another word, he stood up and grabbed his pajamas before disappearing into the bathroom with a small sigh.
After a few moments, he stepped out of the bathroom, only wearing his gray pajama pants. She fought the urge to lower her gaze, her eyes wanting nothing more than to linger on his well-toned chest for a moment. "Do you want to change?" he asked, holding his clothes in his arms. Y/N hesitated, trying not to let her emotions show on her face. "Nope, I'm fine in these clothes," she lied, looking down at the black midi dress she was wearing.
He threw his clothes on the end of the ottoman, a mischievous grin spreading across his face. "Oh come on! Will you stop acting like that?" he said, teasingly. "I swear, you look like I'm about to take away your virtue or something." Y/N couldn't help but laugh, feeling some of the tension leave her body, realizing that she had been holding her breath this whole time.
He was right. She was being childish, refusing to change into more comfortable clothes. They were both adults. They could both sleep in the same room without giving in to their desires. Right? "Sorry Ransom, but I think you stole my virtue away from me a long time ago." She teased, cracking a small smile. "Fine. Do you have anything I could borrow for the night?"
"Of course," Ransom said, seeming to relax a bit. It was the first time in a while that Y/N hadn't looked like she wanted to punch him in the face, and he was pleased that she seemed to be opening up to him more. Deep down, he hoped that maybe they could get back to how things used to be. He walked over to his dresser, pulling out a t-shirt and a pair of pajama pants.
"Here you go," he said, handing her his clothes. Y/N smiled again, but this time it was genuine, compared to the forced and angry ones he had seen in the past. She whispered a soft, "Thank you" before walking towards the bathroom to get changed.
He felt a certain urgency to follow her into the bathroom and kiss her and wrap his arms around her. To feel her body pressed against his. But he knew it wasn’t the right time. Another sigh escaped his lips as he turned around, beginning to pull the covers down and crawl into bed.
A sudden crackling sound woke Y/N and Ransom in the middle of the night. The sound of thunder rumbled ominously in the distance, accompanied by flashes of lightning that lit up the room. The power went out soon after, leaving the room dark except for the moonlight sneaking in through the windows.
She rubbed the sleep from her eyes, feeling a tinge of fear rising within her. "Ransom?" she asked, her voice a slight shake.
"Damn it," he muttered under his breath, sounding irritated but not at her. He tried flipping the switch, but it was dead. "I think the storm cut the power out," he said, sounding annoyed but not directing it at her.
Y/N let out a heavy sigh. "Great," she grumbled. She pulled the blanket up closer to her chest, but it did little to add warmth. The cold quickly filled the room, and a chill slowly crept through the entire house. She could make out the shape of Ransom's face despite the darkness, thanks to the moonlight creeping through the window.
Despite the circumstances, Y/N couldn't help but feel a flutter of excitement as she looked at him. She quickly suppressed the feeling, reminding herself of their current situation. Staying safe and warm was her top priority, not her feelings for Ransom.
There were a few moments of silence, and Y/N started to shiver under the weighted blanket, her teeth chattering as she tried to bury herself deeper under the covers. Ransom broke the silence, his voice low and gentle. "Y/N, the power's out and it's going to be a long night. We might as well keep each other warm," he said.
His words were comforting, but she hesitated for a moment. As much as she craved the warmth of his body, she couldn't bring herself to face him. Her emotions were already running high, and she didn't trust herself to keep them in check.
Finally, she mustered up the courage to stand up from the couch and crawl into bed with him. She shifted, her back facing Ransom's chest. She snuggled up close to him, his body heat a welcome comfort in the otherwise cold room.
As she relaxed into him, she felt a small flutter of excitement in her chest, which she tried to suppress but it was futile. She let out a slow breath, trying to slow her racing heart. Ransom felt her shivering frame press against him as he pulled more of the covers up over the two of them.
He began rubbing her arms up and down, in an attempt to provide her with more warmth. "Does that feel better?" he whispered, his voice low and gentle. His lips curved up in a small smirk at the fact that he got to hold her in his arms again. Something he’d missed for the longest time. Despite not being able to see her face, he knew she was awake by the tense muscles in her body and the heavy breathing he could hear.
"Yeah. It feels nice." Y/N replied, her voice shaking a little from the cold. Ransom leaned closer to her ear, speaking in a low voice. "You know, you would probably get more warmth if you were facing me." There was a moment of hesitation, and then she finally replied. "I’m fine the way I am. Plus, you’re only saying that because you want me closer to you."
"Maybe," he chuckled softly, pulling her hair back from her face. For a moment, he brushed his fingers against her cheek, a gentle touch that she could barely feel through the blankets. "Or maybe I just wanted to see your pretty face." As Ransom's fingers continued to brush against her skin, she felt her cheeks grow warm.
She didn't know how to react to his small gesture of affection and sighed deeply, realizing that he wasn't going to let up. Reluctantly, she shifted onto her right side, looking away from him. "Is this better?" she muttered, her tone laced with sarcasm.
Ransom smiled softly, gently trailing his finger down toward her jaw. He knew that he shouldn't push her too much, but he couldn't help himself. He had a hard time controlling himself around her. Every time he looked at her, it reminded him of when they were together and happy. A part of him hated how they had grown apart.
He leaned in closer, his lips brushing against her forehead. "I miss you, Y/N. I miss how close we were before." The words came out in a whisper, barely audible in the quiet room. But they hung in the air, heavy and full of emotion. "I never meant to hurt you that night. I was stupid and I felt like I was doing the right thing by letting you go. I…I didn’t want to hold you back."
Her breath hitched as he said those words. She knew deep down that there was no turning back now. The expression on his face was soft, and there was a tinge of remorse in his eyes. For a moment, he looked just like the boy she remembered all those years ago before they both headed off to college.
"I..." she hesitated, struggling to find the words. Then, with a deep breath, she uttered the words she had been wanting to say for so long. "Ransom, you were never holding me back. I would’ve followed you anywhere. You...you broke my heart..." she whispered, her voice cracking as she spoke.
Before she could say anything further, Ransom pulled her into him, wrapping his arm around her waist. Their faces were so close together, and she could feel the warmth of his body against hers. It was a tempting sensation, one that made her heart race. He wanted nothing more than to kiss her right now, and she knew it.
“Don’t you think I know that? I regret that every damn day. It was the biggest mistake of my life,” Ransom whispered in her ear. His breath was hot on her temple as he spoke, and she could feel the tremors in his voice. It was clear that he was just as torn up about the situation as she was.
"Ransom," she murmured, pressing a hand to his bare chest. She knew where this was going and feared what she might do. Their connection had always seemed otherworldly - a drug that she had never been able to get enough of, even after they'd separated. He'd always been a source of temptation, a pull that she'd never been able to resist. She never loved anyone else quite like she did him.
He leaned his forehead against hers, a spark of desire in his eyes. "Tell me this feels wrong and I'll stop," he whispered, his voice dripping with seduction as he asked.
She sighed softly. She knew it was wrong, but the pull of temptation was too strong to resist. She couldn't force the words out - deep down, she wanted this too. And the way that he was looking at her right now - it made her heart race even faster and her belly twist with delicious uncertainty.
She closed the gap and kissed him passionately. Her arm wrapped around his neck, pulling him closer, even closer than before. He was stunned at first and then, without a moment's hesitation, he kissed her back. It was fierce and passionate, with a certain roughness that she had missed for so long. His hand cradled her neck as they kissed, a feeling that she never wanted to end.
A few minutes after they locked lips, she pulled away, leaving them both panting and trying to catch their breath. Even in the dimly lit room, she could still make out the familiar outline of Ransom's mischievous grin. "Just give me another chance to love you," Ransom whispered, his voice laced with sincerity and hope. "Give me another chance to show you the kind of love that you deserve. I promise I won't let you down again."
Her heart fluttered in her chest as she listened to his words. It was something she had been hoping for, for the longest time, and now it was finally becoming a reality. With a mix of excitement and trepidation, she replied, "Ransom, losing you once was painful enough. I don't want to ever go through that again."
Y/N felt a sense of vulnerability wash over her as she spoke, but she pushed through it, determined to see this through. She cupped his face in her hands and leaned in to kiss him once more as their bodies intertwined beneath the sheets.

Ransom slams the door as he exits his car, his face set in a permanent scowl, “Fucking family.” He huffs, wondering when they will finally get hit by some sort of disaster, wiping them off the face of the planet. Ransom stuffs his hands into the pockets of his expensive coat, walking toward the brightly lit building. Ransom was known to be adventurous, especially when it came to sex, he had done nearly everything, so to learn he’s never tried a gloryhole before was absurd, and he couldn’t have anyone finding out about it.
He grunts as he opens the door, quickly pulling out a handkerchief from his pocket to wipe whatever germs that could’ve been on that handle. Ransom walks over to the counter, leaning against it and giving the woman behind it a smirk. “Hello, sweets. I want your best girl.” He pulls a wad of cash from his wallet and slams it down, winking as she points him to the room. Ransom saunters down the hall and enters the room.
He looked around, being assured that these were the best in the business. Ransom walked around the room, checking out each woman, shaking his head when he didn’t see one he liked. He didn’t want his first experience to be horrible. He wanted the best. He paid for the best, so he should receive it. When his eyes landed on you, he knew you were perfect by how his cock twitched, swelling rapidly beneath his pants.
Ransom walks closer to your hole, grunting at the sight of your glistening cunt, enjoying how you are already lying on your back, his favourite position. He loves to watch the bulge appear in women’s tummies as he fucks into them. His thick member splitting and stretching them open, and he groans as he imagines what you would look like. “You’re a pretty sight, sweetheart. Are you ready to be split open by Daddy? You’ll definitely be begging for more, cockdrunk, from being fucked by me.”
You shake your head, smiling slightly at his words. You’ve dealt with many men, ranging from soft to sweet to cocky to downright rude. He was definitely in the cocky department, but you decided to give him a chance. You weren’t going to lie. His words made you drip. “Show me what you got, Sugar. I don’t think I quite believe you… I’ve had a lot of men promise me a good time.” You smirk, wanting to mess with him a bit to see if he’ll either get angry and storm off or follow through with his promise.
“Oh, sweetheart… You should know that you don’t mess with Daddy, or he won’t let you cum.” Ransom growls, pressing his clothed bulge against your dripping cunt, not caring in the slightest if your juices stain his expensive slacks. His finger traces up your leg, tapping against your thigh. “You want to cum, don’t you?” You throb, face heating up as he speaks. His hand slaps your sopping cunt, causing you to squeak. “Speak slut.”
“Yes, yes! I want to cum, please!” You couldn’t believe you were already begging, and he hadn’t even touched you yet. Ransom smirked, moving his hands to the front of his pants, unzipping them and pulling out his thick, throbbing member. He strokes it, twisting his wrist and swiping his thumb across his leaking tip. Ransom eyes your cunt, watching it slicken even more as you listen to him touch himself.
He rubs his mushroom tip through your folds, collecting your arousal before pushing in. Ransom groans, wondering how the fuck you could be so tight when you work at a place like this. He grips your hips, bottoming out inside you. “Jesus, sweetheart.” Your eyes roll to the back of your head as he hits your cervix, stretching you wider than anyone else before. “After I’m done with you, you won’t want anyone else.” Ransom pulls you closer, setting a pace, thrusting hard and fast. He grunts when he sees the bulge forming, his thick tip pounding into you, hitting spots that have never been hit before.
“I’m yours! I’m yours! Oh, god!” Your head flies back, arms flying upwards and clutching the pillow underneath you. Your body moves up and down the bed, legs falling open for the man to continue to use you. You felt so close already, the band inside of you begging to snap. Your legs wrap around him, bringing him closer, needing to feel every part of him. “Please let me cum!”
Ransom moans, eyes slipping closed as his head tilts back, feeling your walls throb and pulsate around him. “Fuck, sweetheart. Are you sure you’ve been good enough?” He squeezes your hips, pounding harder into you, repeatedly hitting your sweet spot. His hand moves between you, locating your puffy clit, rubbing and pinching it.
“Yes! I’ve been so good, please!” Your screams bounce off the walls, feeling yourself throb like crazy. Your cunt swallowing his cock deeper, back arching. “Please!”
“Cum, slut.” Ransom growls, thrusting faster, rubbing your clit. “Cum for Daddy.”
“Daddy!” Your eyes roll to the back of your head, and your vision becomes white as the most intense orgasm washes over you, your juices squirting out and covering the mystery man’s expensive clothes. Once your orgasm has passed, you sag into the bed, letting out soft moans as he continues to destroy you.
“Fuck, you dirty slut! You’ve ruined my clothes.” Ransom growls, fucking into you roughly, feeling his balls tighten and his tip swell as his cock throbs. “I’m gonna paint your pretty walls with my cum.” You moan as thick spurts of cum shoot out of him, coating your walls and filling you to the brim. Ransom doesn’t dare rest his head on the wall before him, not wanting to catch a disease. He pulls his softened cock from your used hole, tucking it back into his slacks. “Your pretty little pussy looks so good stuffed with my cum.”
Those are the last words you hear out of the stranger’s mouth as he turns and leaves. Ransom places his sunnies over his eyes, ignoring the woman ogling him at the counter and heading back outside to where his car is parked. He knows he’ll be back. You were worth his money, and maybe one day he will get you out of The Strawberry Shack and take you home, making you his own personal slut.

CW: Kidnapped, restrained, gasoline, threat of immolating, ransom
The scent of gasoline was overwhelming.
"You don't- You don't have to do th-this," Whumpee choked. They were forced to their knees, hands bound to a latch on the floor. Their heart pounded, not able to see what whumper was doing behind them.
"Now now, let's not be that way." Whumper poured liquid over whumpee's head as they practically shouted as the cold ran down their spine. They had to hold their breath as the smell of gas and oil was suffocating.
"I know you don't deserve this." Whumper said, pouring out the last drop. "But if your caretaker brings me what I've asked for, you'll be just fine. You'll go free, and after a shower and change of clothes, this will alllll be over." They carelessly tossed the can to the side as whumpee flinched at the noise.
"All of th- this.... F-fo-for wh- a -at" Whumpee choked out their own words.
"Hey hey hey, don't pass out on me. Shhhh, deep breaths. I want you awake when caretaker comes. It helps with the persuasion, especially if you're crying and all." They pinched at a strand of whumpee's hair and felt gasoline seep between their fingers.
They sat next to them and cupped their jaw, making them face the door. Whumpee's heart nearly stopped beating when they heard a gentle *flick* of a lighter being ignited overhead.
"They'll be here any second now." Whumper whispered in their ear.
"Let's hope for your sake that's the case, anyway."

Summary: It's your birthday and you end up eating alone.
Pairing: Ransom Drysdale x Reader
Warnings: angst, trust issues, abandonment, Ransom being a douche, unrequited feelings, being lonely during birthday/Christmas, having the blues,
A/N: This is the alternative version of Dinner for one. I decided to turn it into a story too but with a different ending.
Written for: Winter Break Advent: Day 22 – Quote: "We click. There aren't that many people that you just 'click' with; and when you find those people, you don't just let them go."
Tumblr media
“Anything else, sweetie,” the elderly waitress at your favorite café asks. Her name is Dolores, and she’s always kind. She knows it’s your birthday and brought you a cupcake with a burning candle for free. “Happy birthday.”
She watches you glance at the cupcake. You sniffle and try not to cry. This stranger showed more interest in you and your birthday than anyone else in your life.
“Thank you,” is all you get out. You blow the candle out, wishing for nothing but to not feel the aching in your chest any longer. “That’s so kind of you.”
“Don’t sweat it, sweetie. You’re my best and favorite customer,” she smiles and refills your cup. “Chamomile, your favorite.”
“Again, thank you,” you fake a smile. She’s so kind, and you don’t want to be ungrateful. “This made my day.”
“I’ll bring you your order later. Eat the cupcake and remember, not all days are bad. One day the sun will shine for all of us again.”
Damn her, she read you like a book. “I guess,” you drop your eyes and look at the cupcake again. “It just doesn’t feel like it right now.”
“It will,” she insists and walks off, whistling a tune.
“Maybe—” you swallow thickly when the man you had hoped to never see again waltzes into the café, smirking like nothing has changed. He holds the door open for two girls, and two of his buddies. “Why?”
This can’t be. Today out of all days he had to come here. Your favorite café. Ransom always hated it and now he’s here, on your birthday after he broke your heart.
He straightens his hair and puffs his chest. Showing off his expensive coat and the scarf you bought him for his birthday. He looks like a peacock wanting to impress the ladies. You giggle as he looks stupidly handsome and like an idiot at the same time.
His eyes dart from the table the waitress orders toward your table. For a moment, it looks like he stiffens when his eyes meet yours. He clears his throat, and turns away, acting like he didn’t see you sitting alone at the table.
“Hey, Ransom,” one of his buddies punches his upper arm, “isn’t that the mouse you dated some months ago?” The guy points at your table. You try to ignore him, and the girls looking in your direction.
“I don’t know what you are talking about,” Ransom snaps at his friend, adding another crack to your fragile heart. He can’t even admit that he used to date you. “I don’t date girls like her.”
“Dude, it’s her,” the other man insists. “I remember the pout and her mousish behavior. I bet she must be a bomb in the bedroom, if not you wouldn’t keep a girl like her around.”
“Listen, I don’t know that woman. Can we eat now, or do you want to ask me if I dated half of the people at the café,” Ransom gets louder, making you flinch.
He seems to be embarrassed by his friend’s question. Of course, he’s ashamed of dating you. You’re not one of his wealthy buddies or the spoiled girls hanging on his every word.
You exhale sharply as he continues to explain that he would never date someone like you. He even makes fun of the sweater you’re wearing. Even though he told you he found it cute not so long ago.
Self-cautiously you look down on your body, regretting that you decided to wear your favorite blue sweater with snowflakes today. You try to look away, or not listen to their words, but it’s impossible to not see Ransom staring your way.
“Sweetie, I got you birthday cake,” right when you want to flee out of the café, the waitress returns with three of her colleagues. They start singing Happy Birthday, and the lump in your throat grows.
The guests at the café get up to join the waitresses. They sing Happy Birthday and clap their hands, making things worse for you.
Ransom and his friends get up too, laughing and joking as they pretend to sing with the other people. You’re close to running out of the café and leaving town to forget about this awful birthday.
A few weeks ago, you were in love and believed you’d spend your birthday with Ransom.
Now you are in the same room, but miles apart.
You’re living in different worlds, and this will never change. He’s got a huge trust fund, and you struggle to make ends meet sometimes. When you met Ransom he knew that you still got to pay back your study loan.
“That’s,” your voice cracks when they place a birthday cake in front of you. “Very nice. I-I’m overwhelmed.”
“I hope you enjoy your cake,” one of the waitresses sing-songs. She smiles, and hands you a fork. “It’s a red velvet cake. Your favorite.”
People sit back down and finally turn their attention toward their lives. You release a shuddery breath as the waitresses and some guests expectantly look at you. “That’s a beautiful cake,” you sniff. “But I already got the cupcake.”
“It’s a gift from one of the customers,” Dolores whispers. “We got instructions to serve you the cake when you come here today.”
“What? I don’t understand. Why would anyone buy a cake for me? I don’t know many people in town.”
“Well sweetie, he must be wealthy,” the waitress from earlier giggles. “This is the most expensive cake and he wanted extras. Just enjoy.”
“I rather not,” you doubt whoever bought the cake wanted to be nice. Gifts always come at a price. And you are not willing to be in anyone’s debt. “Can you take it back? Maybe tell the person who ordered the cake for me they can eat it.”
“Sorry, no returns,” she coos and points at the cake. “Dig in, miss. It’s free and very delicious. Look, the cook used leaf gold for the decoration. You don’t want us to throw it away, right?”
“No.” You hate this. All of it. Someone bought you a cake and expects you to eat it, just like the waitresses. “I’ll try it later.”
“She still got the cupcake. Maybe she can take the cake home,” Dolores jumps in. She offers to put the cake in a box for you to take the cake home. “Right, sweetie. You will take it home.”
Dolores tells the others to go back to work. She gives you a sympathetic look and walks away to get the box.
You shift in your seat and try to focus on the cupcake and your now cold tea. It’s not how you imagined spending your birthday but it’s better than to hide at your apartment and think about Ransom, and your breakup.
Ransom watches you eat the cupcake. He frowns as Dolores puts the cake in a box. You don’t look his way any longer. You finish your cupcake and drink your tea. When you get up to leave, you thank Dolores and reluctantly take the box with the cake.
It takes all of your strength, but you manage to pass Ransom’s table by and not look at him. You exhale sharply as one of his friends calls you mouse and cups his crotch.
Tumblr media
“Y/N, open the door!” Ransom is fuming outside of your apartment. “Why did you refuse to eat the cake I ordered for you? I wanted to do something nice for you.”
“Like bringing these people to our place? How could you, Ran? How?” You sniffle. “You walked around the café I showed to you like a peacock to impress these women. Why did you come to the café? And why did you buy the cake?”
“Babycakes,” he sighs deeply. “I’m…we…I let their words get to me. I was a fool to believe I could spend a day without you.”
“You laughed about me at the café!”
“Please let me in,” he pleads. “I came to the café to talk to you, knowing you’ll be there. Frankie and the others waited outside. I must’ve talked about this place, and they wanted to try it out. I’m sorry for their behavior.”
“Just go away, and take that cake with you,” you open the door to push the box with cake into his hands. “We are done, just like you said.”
“I said we should take a break to think about our relationship,” he looks at the box in his hands. “I got scared, Y/N. You know that I have commitment issues and trust issues. But…I wanna get better.”
“You want to hurt me even more to make fun of me with your friends,” you sniff. “I’m done with people walking all over me. I won’t have it.”
“Please don’t give up on me, Y/N. I’m not the best boyfriend and I got flaws but…” He shrugs. “We click. There aren't that many people that you just 'click' with; and when you find those people, you don't just let them go.”
“You let me go,” you tap your heart. “You broke my heart and now you stand on my doorstep asking me to take you back?”
“If you can forgive me, I promise to heal your heart…”
You take the cake out of his hands and jerk your head toward the door. “I’ll eat the cake, and maybe, I’ll call you. For now, I want you to leave me alone.”

As soon as the door slams shut Theo and Chase come out of his room, looking around to see if the coast is clear.
"How bad do you think it is?" Theo asks.
"Pretty bad." Chase sighs. "I'm gonna go check up on her." He stops in front of your door and knocks softly. "It's me, princess. Can I come in?"
You poke your head out from under the covers long enough to tell him to come in and disappear under them again right after.
"Are you ok?" Your best friend asks as he closes the door behind him and walks over to your bed.
"No. I'm not." Your voice breaks as more tears rush out of you.
"What happened?" He sits on the edge of your bed and pushes back the covers to let you breathe.
"I don't want to talk about it." You keep your back to him, curling up on yourself.
He reaches over to you and rubs your back. "Where's Ransom?"
You shrug. "I don't know, I think he- he left." You reach for a pillow and hug it tightly to your chest to try to calm yourself down.
"Want me to stay with you?" He pushes back your hair, away from your face.
"Can I be alone, please?" You whisper, scared that if you speak any louder you're going to break.
"Of course. If you need me or Theo, just send us a text." Chase leans down and kisses your temple before standing up. "We love you." He adds before leaving.
Ransom waits for his Über to show up to take him to his destination.
"If you want a good tip and review I'd recommend not talking unless it's to ask for directions.."
The driver nods as he looks at him through the mirror. "Got it."
With now time to think about what he wants to say, Ransom writes a few things down on his phone to make sure not to forget anything. He has a lot of questions to ask.
The driver, as promised, keeps his mouth shut and Ransom gives him 5 stars and a $50 tip just for leaving him alone.
He gets out of the car and up the few steps that lead to the front door, going in right after knocking.
It's only been a few months since he has stepped into this house but it feels like it has been years. Things change quickly, he has changed too. Probably more so in the past few months than he has over the past 10 years.
"I thought we were finally rid of you." Fran sighs as she sees Ransom walking toward her.
"Fuck off." He says as he walks past her to his grandfather's office. He knocks but this time he waits for permission before walking in.
"I like the beard and longer hair. It suits you." Harlan says to him as he takes a seat.
"Mh. Thanks." He runs his fingers through his hair.
"Not a fan of the bloodshot eyes though."
Ransom sighs and glances down at the desk before looking back up. "Why did you have kids?"
Harlan sits back in his chair and looks at his grandson, really looks at him, frowning. "What do you mean?"
"Have you always wanted kids? Is it because Nana and Great Nana wanted them for you? Why did you choose to have kids?"
Harlan takes a moment to really think about his answer, he's not sure why Ransom is asking him this but he has a feeling that his answer could potentially change Ransom's opinion. Whatever it is. "I don't know how it happened." He says sincerely. "I don't remember ever thinking about wanting to have kids until I met your Nana. I was a lot like you when I was younger. Reckless and handsome." He teases to lighten up the mood. "You often hear people say "I met the love of my life and my world got turned upside down" but when I met the love of my life my world finally made sense. All the puzzle pieces fell into place and everything felt right. I loved her with all of my being, still do. There's not a day that I don't miss her but she's not really truly gone because I see little pieces of her in every single one of you." He smiles fondly. "I can't say when exactly I decided to have kids, all I remember is thinking that the world would be a better place with more of her in it. Now that she's gone, I'm glad I have all of you to remind me of her."
"Would you still choose to have kids if you knew how bad we were going to turn out?"
"Not everyone turned out bad and it's not entirely their fault if they did."
"Meg is fine but the rest of us, not so much."
"You turned out fine." Harlan looks at Ransom with a smile and pride in his eyes.
Ransom can't help but laugh. "In what world did I turn out fine?"
"Look at how much you've changed since I cut you off, how much you've grown. For the first time in… years, you look happy. Genuinely happy."
Ransom shrugs and looks down. "I was."
"It's that girl, right? Your friend that Marta helped? You fell in love."
It's not a question, it doesn't need to be.
"What happened?"
Rubbing his hands over his face and sighing, Ransom feels close to breaking down again. "She wants to have kids."
"And you don't?" Harlan asks curiously.
"Why would I? With how fucked up our family is, I don't need to put that kind of burden on a child or on her. She deserves better. My dad cheats on my mom constantly, they both hate me and each other." He shakes his head. "I'll be a shitty dad and a shitty husband."
"Tell me, do you think your dad stops to think "am I being a shitty husband?" before cheating on your mother?"
"Fuck no." Ransom laughs but there's no joy to it.
"Exactly."
Ransom frowns and raises a brow, confused. "Exactly, what?"
Harlan chuckles and sits up on his chair, leaning forward on his desk. "You are not your father. You are nothing like your father. You love her, you care about her. Let's forget about your parents, about this family. It's just you and her in the world, would you have kids with her?"
"Of course I would. She's my whole fucking world, I'd do anything for her. I'd give her anything she asked for but this is the real world and Drysdale men don't make good fathers."
"Then break the cycle." Harlan says, like it's the most obvious solution.
"Oh, right. Sure. Just like that." Ransom answers, clearly being sarcastic as he rolls his eyes.
"Why not? Are you a good boyfriend to her?"
"I don't know. I guess."
"Do you love her? Show her affection? Treat her right? Take care of her? Respect her?"
"I do."
"Then you've already broken the cycle of Drysdale men being shitty boyfriends or husbands. If you can do that then you can break the bad father cycle."
"What if I can't and I end up ruining her life and the kid's life?"
"What if you can and you end up being happy with a great family?"
"I hate it when you answer my question with a question." He shakes his head.
"I know you do." Harlan chuckles.
"I'm scared I might have lost her." Ransom admits, so quietly that Harlan almost missed it.
"If you love her then fight for her. If you just give up then you're sure to lose her. Go home, fix it."
Ransom runs a hand through his hair. "We have two roommates, they are protective of her, they probably won't let me talk to her alone and if they do they'll just hide and listen to everything."
"Here." Harlan opens his desk drawer and pulls out a set of keys. "Send them there."
"Are those the keys to my old house?"
"Those are the keys to the house that I paid for. Now go, fight for your girl. Make me proud."
Ransom stands up and takes the keys. He walks over to the door and opens it, turning around to add one more thing. "Please don't tell anyone about me and her. I don't want them anywhere near my relationship."
Harlan nods. "You got it. Your secret is safe with me."
"Thank you. For everything."
His grandfather smiles at him. "I'm proud of you Ransom."
He walks out of the house while taking his phone out of his pocket and tries to call you. He's not surprised when you don't pick up, it was to be expected. He hangs up to get an Über and he's surprised to see how late it is already. He hadn't realized that so much time had passed. It's almost dinner time but it feels later than that because of how dark it already is outside.
On his ride home, Ransom thinks about how or what he'll need to do to get you alone without the guys.
Once he gets dropped off near the building, he calls Theo to say he needs to see both he and Chase to clear the air before seeing you. After the call, he runs up the stairs and waits until he's sure they are gone.
After the night they had locked you up in the loft together you had confiscated the keys from that specific lock and put them all in a drawer in the kitchen so while the guys are moving down to the first floor, Ransom quietly sneaks into the loft and locks the door. He leaves the key just in case one of you wants to get out, he doesn't want to hold you hostage he just wants to keep the guys out until he has had a chance to have a real talk with you.
He sends them a quick text to tell them where he hid the key of his old house with the address. The guys would be pissed if they weren't so impressed by how quickly Ransom has learned to play by their rules. Plus, there are worse ways to spend your Saturday night than in a giant, beautiful house.
Once he's sure the guys won't be interrupting anything Ransom takes off his shoes and his jacket, leaving them close to the front door. He takes a few deep breaths to settle his nerves before heading to your room.
He usually loves moments when the loft is calm and in complete silence, like right now, but tonight he wishes there would be a noise, a sound, anything to cover his nervous heartbeat and the blood rushing through his veins at an incredible speed.
Ransom turns the knob and walks in without a sound before closing the door again. He moves closer to your bed, his heart clenching painfully at the sight of you looking so small and fragile, almost broken. He hates that he did this to you.
Lifting up the covers, Ransom carefully gets into your bed and lies behind you. A sigh of relief almost escapes his lips when you don't flinch or tense up at his presence, counting it as a small win.
You have no idea what time it is, all you know is that you've spent the entire day in bed crying, sleeping or staring at the wall in front of you. You're tired and your body aches from lying in the same position for hours on end, yet you can't find the energy to move. Not even to turn around. Chase and Theo check up on you often to make sure you don't need anything, maybe that's why you're able to tell right away when it's Ransom who comes in and not one of your other roommates.
You let him get in and settle down right behind you without saying anything. What is there to say that hasn't already been said earlier?
What you don't expect is for him to reach over and wrap his arm around you, like he always does, and you feel terrible for jumping the way you do. Ransom tries to move his arm away when he sees and feels you get scared but you stop him, putting your hand on top of his.
Ransom's eyes are burning with unshed tears as he wraps his front around your back, getting as close to you as physically possible.
"I'm sorry for leaving the way I did." He says quietly, not surprised to hear the pain in his own voice. "Can you turn around, please?"
You hesitate but slowly turn around to be facing him. As soon as he sees your face he moves his hand away from your waist and uses it to wipe off the fresh tears on your cheeks, not realizing that his own are now running free.
"I'm so sorry, kitten. I'm so fucking sorry." He whispers, knowing that his voice can't get any louder without breaking or wavering.
You're fast to cover his cheeks with your hands, using your thumbs to make his tears disappear as soon as they come out. "You don't have to apologize. Sometimes things just don't work out." You give him the tiniest of smiles to show him you're not mad. You could never be mad at him for knowing what he wants or doesn't want.
Ransom's eyes widen as he realizes why you think he's apologizing. "No, no, no, no." He says quickly and puts his index finger under your chin to make you look in his eyes. "I went to see Harlan today and we talked, for hours. You were right. I'm not my dad and I'll never be my dad. I love you, I'm fucking crazy about you and I never want to hurt you. I promise I'll never cheat on you or do anything else to hurt you, to hurt us."
"Oh, Ran. I know you won't. The thought never even crossed my mind and I love you, I really do that's why it hurts so much but we want different things. As much as I love and adore you, I haven't changed my mind about wanting to have kids. I'm sorry."
"I know, kitten. That's what I'm trying to say." He grabs your cheeks with both of his hands and rests his forehead against yours. "I changed my mind."
Your eyes widen and you quickly sit up. "Are you for real?"
"Yes." He sits up too, facing you.
"A few hours ago you didn't even want to think about having kids, Ran this isn't like changing your mind about getting a cat."
"Like I said, I talked to Harlan and he opened my eyes on a few things." He tucks a strand of your hair behind your ear, letting his fingers linger across your cheek. "If it were someone else, I wouldn't have changed my mind but it's you. I know you won't be scared to call me out if I do something bad and I know I'll love our kids because they will be yours. I really thought about it, I'm sure."
You stare at him speechless. "Maybe you should take some more time to think about it." You suggest, a little taken aback.
"I don't need to."
You're shocked that he has changed his mind so rapidly but also shocked that you believe him even if you think an afternoon isn’t enough to make such a big decision. He seems so sure of himself, there's not even an ounce of doubt in his voice, in his words or in his eyes.
Before you try to argue again, Ransom closes the distance between the two of you and kisses you. It starts off chaste and soft but it quickly turns sloppy and full of need, full of desire. One of his hands travels down your body to the small of your back where his hand then moves under your shirt. He sighs at the contact of your warm, soft skin and moves closer to you.
You put your hands to the back of his head where you tangle your fingers in his hair to keep him close, as if he'd ever dare to leave you like this.
Ransom kisses the corner of your lips and trails down from your cheek to the side of your neck to give you a chance to breathe. He sucks and nips at the skin, smiling against your neck when he feels you shiver.
You bite your lower lip and close your eyes to let yourself get lost in his touch.
He lifts up his head and he grins at the sight in front of him. "You look so beautiful." He presses his lips to yours, stealing your breath once more. He helps you lie down on your back, holding himself up with one hand flat on the mattress while the other is still on your back. He lowers himself with you and settles his body on top of yours, between your legs so as to not crush you under his weight. His hand that's on your back moves from under you and comes to take yours instead, intertwining his fingers with yours as he raises them above your head to rest on the pillow.
Once again Ransom breaks off the kiss to let you breathe and instead presses soft kisses all over your cheeks, forehead and nose. He stops to look down into your eyes when he feels you cupping his cheek in the palm of your free hand to get his attention.
"I love you." You say softly after feeling the urge to say it first this time.
Ransom's breath hitches in his throat and he gently squeezes your hand that he's holding. He gets lost in his own mind for a few moments, trying to think back to the last time that someone told him they loved him and meant it. For years girls have told him they loved him, not because that was how they felt but because they thought it could get them expensive gifts or money. It didn't. Those three little words have always turned Ransom off, until tonight. He used to hate hearing them but now they might be his favorite words. "Fuck." He curses quietly under his breath, his heart is pounding in his chest in the most wonderful way. "I love you." He adds quickly right before kissing the tip of your nose. "Wanna get started on those babies?" He asks you, cheekily as he wiggles his eyebrows and grins down at you.
You can't help but laugh at his playful attitude. You tilt your head a little to the side, matching his playfulness. "Are you sure you want the babies and not just the baby making?"
"I'm a big, big fan of the baby making." He smirks. "But I'm gonna be an even bigger fan of the babies that come from it."
You shake your head as you smile, amused. "How about for right now we practice and we can talk about babies tomorrow morning?"
"Anything you want, my love." He smiles as he leans down to kiss you. The moment your lips touch, his playfulness is gone and all of his focus is on making you feel good, beautiful and loved beyond words. Over and over again until you're both too exhausted to move.
Ransom rolls off of you and lies on his back next to you, letting you both catch your breath. You wiggle closer until you’re flushed against his side and rest the back of your head on his bicep. He moves his head to look at you and smiles at how relaxed and at peace you look. He wraps his index finger and thumb on both sides of your jaw to angle your head in the right direction to give him easy access to your lips as he leans in to kiss you. He nips at your bottom lip before pulling away.
‘’We totally just made a baby, I can feel it.’’ He rests his head back on the pillow and looks up at the ceiling.
You laugh and take the hand that was on your face, holding it between yours as you close your eyes. ‘’I think it’s going to take a little while before we do. At least I hope so.’’
Ransom frowns and turns his head to look at you. ‘’What’s that supposed to mean?’’
You blindly trace his pinky ring with the tip of your finger, slowly opening your eyes to look back at him. ‘’I love how excited you are about this but we don’t need to have a kid now. We need money, lots of it and our own place because I’m not taking care of a newborn baby on top of taking care of Theo and Chase.’’
‘’Right.’’ He sighs. ‘’I keep forgetting that money is an issue for me now.’’
You raise a hand to his beard and gently scratch with your fingers along his jawline. ‘’We just need to come up with a plan, to make sure we’re ready when it does happen. If we did make a baby tonight, we’ll make it work but I’d like to be prepared.’’
‘’It’s a good thing that one of us is smart.’’
‘’Don’t say that, you’re smart too.’’
‘’Oh, I know. I was talking about myself.’’ He laughs at your shocked gasp and kisses your temple. ‘’I’m just teasing.’’
You sit up to put your shirt and leggings back on. ‘’I hope you enjoyed getting laid earlier because that was the last time in a very long while.’’ You stick out your tongue at him before hurrying out of your bed and heading to the bathroom to take a shower.
‘’No, come back.’’ He tries to stop you from getting out of bed but you’re too quick. ‘’Kitten.’’ He whines and smiles when he hears you laugh. He gets out of bed and follows you to the bathroom, not bothering with putting on any clothes since it’s just the two of you and he has locked out your other two roommates. ‘’What are we doing?’’ He asks, innocently.
‘’I’m taking a shower.’’ You turn on the water to let it warm up before getting in.
‘’What a great idea for us to take a shower.’’
You bite down on your lip, trying not to laugh and encourage him. You shake your head instead.
He leans down to kiss the side of your neck, covering every inch of skin with his lips as he puts his hands under the front of your shirt to cover your stomach. ‘’Need some help with your clothes, kitten?’’ He nips at the skin right under your ear, making you shiver.
You slightly lean back into him, making him think he has won but you quickly snap out of it and pull away. ‘’I got it, thanks. I’ll be done soon if you want to take a shower after.’’ You take off your clothes and walk inside the shower, closing the door behind you as you step under the water.
A few seconds later you feel a big gush of cold air coming in, making you aware that Ransom has opened the door. He steps in and stands behind you as he closes the door right after.
‘’Ran, what are you doing?’’ You don’t turn around, your poker face sucks and you want to pretend to be mad for as long as you can.
‘’Just making sure my beautiful baby mama is safe.’’ He wraps his arms around your shoulders and kisses the back of your head.
You laugh quietly and lean back into him. ‘’I’m not a baby mama yet.’’
‘’Yet. But I’m working on it..’’ He moves his hands to rest on top of your stomach and you almost melt at how adorable he is being since coming back from Harlan’s.
A small part of you wants to tease him and tell him that he’s being super cheesy but the sincerity in his voice stops you. Instead you put your hands on top of his and relax under the hot water.
‘’Ran?’’ You say his name quietly after a few minutes of just holding one another.
‘’Yes, my love?’’
‘’I’m starving.’’
He chuckles. ‘’Yeah, me too. Let’s wash up and then we can go out.’’
‘’Out? Ransom Drysdale are you taking me out on a date?’’ You turn your head to look up at him.
He smiles and kisses your forehead. ‘’I don’t know if you can call it a date because I definitely can’t afford fancy restaurants but we’re going out to eat.’’
‘’Well, lucky for you I’m more of a small restaurant kinda girl. Small prices, big portions and I have my own money.’’
‘’I’m paying and I sure am lucky.’’ He smiles before letting go of you to grab the soap.
By the time you get out there is no more hot water but neither of you care. You head back to your rooms to get dressed and meet back at the front door.
You’ve decided to walk to the small italian restaurant a few blocks away, you’ve gone often but Ransom hasn’t had a chance to eat there yet and you have a feeling he’s going to love it. You, Theo and Chase have been going there for years and the owners know you well, they often give you discounts that you pay back in their tip.
You sit at your usual table and Ransom surprises you by sitting next to you instead of sitting across from you. You are so used to your boyfriends being either ashamed of being seen with you or trying to hide that they have a girlfriend in case they run into their other girlfriends that you’re always pleasantly surprised to see Ransom doing the exact opposite. He puts his arm on the back of your chair once he's settled and runs his fingers up the back of your neck as he takes one of the menus to decide on what to eat.
You on the other hand don't even look at the menu because you know exactly what you're going to eat, the same thing as usual.
"Everything looks so good." He says as he flips through the few pages with his free hand.
"It tastes even better, I promise."
"I bet. It smells amazing in here." He quickly glances around to see what is on other people's plates to potentially help him make a decision. There are so many choices and it's hard to choose just one.
A waiter comes over to pour you water and take your orders, leaving swiftly after.
Ransom gets closer and kisses your cheek as he reaches for his glass of water at the same time with his free hand, taking a few quick sips before putting it down. He watches as you lean into his side, smiling as he watches you yawn and rest your head on his shoulder. Bringing his hand up to your head, he gently strokes your hair while kissing the top of your head. "Tired, my love?"
You nod. "Yes. Today was exhausting."
His heart clenches at the painful thought of everything he put you through today. "I'm so sorry."
"You don't have to apologize, Ran."
"Yes, I do. I hurt you and I made you cry. I'm sorry."
You tilt your head to be able to look at him without having to move away from his shoulder. "You didn't hurt me or make me cry. I was scared that we were done and I didn't want us to be."
"You're not getting rid of me that easily." He teases, smiling lovingly down at you.
"Good, I don't want you to go anywhere." You smile back at him, a look of pure adoration in your eyes.
Anyone that would look at the two of you right now could see, without even knowing you, that you're in love with each other. The looks, the smiles and the touches are filled with respect and need for each other that makes it beautiful to watch the interaction between you two.
You barely let go of each other long enough to eat and as soon as you're done you find yourself back into Ransom's side.
The same waiter from earlier comes back over to clear your plates and ask if you need anything else.
"I'm full, thank you." You smile before finishing your water and putting your empty glass back on the table.
"Just the check."
You try to pay for your half of the bill but Ransom insists on paying, you know better than to try and fight him. Instead you might "find" $20 in his jeans pockets while doing the laundry, that you'll make sure to give back.
You walk back to the loft with your arm around his waist and his arm around your shoulders. Walking is a great way to help the food go down but the air is getting cold and gets through your clothes.
Once in the elevator Ransom pushes on the button for your floor and wraps his arms around you, hiding you under his coat to help warm you up. Back in the apartment, he locks the door again to keep the other two out for the night and meets you in the bathroom to brush his teeth as you do the same. You both head back to his room, closing the door behind you, then taking off your clothes to get into his bed. He stays in only his briefs while you steal one of his t-shirts to cover yourself with for the night.
"I love you, thank you for tonight." You press a kiss to his chest before laying your head on top of his heart, just in time to hear it flutter at the first three words of your sentence.
"I love you." He rubs your back, closing his eyes as he breathes you in.
Thankfully the day ends in the exact same way it started: You in the arms of the man that you love feeling good and protected, right where you belong.

I am a hoe for Katakuri, so if you write for him, could I have Kata rescuing an s/o who'd been captured by another pirate crew? 😁
Oh boy is this long overdue. Ahoy Doe, I finally finished this request! I hope you don't mind me using the scenario for Whumptober, and please enjoy the story ^-^
Whumptober Day 28
Katakuri x Reader
Tumblr media
"What do you mean [Y/n]'s gone?"
The guards paled as a heavy aura from Katakuri engulfed them. They haven't even had the chance to inform him about the situation, yet his fury is emitting and leaving the servants terrified under his gaze. His brows narrowed when he received no response, he reached down and picked up one of the servants.
"Who took [Y/n]?" Katakuri inquired, his voice hinting at his intention of seeking vengeance. However, he never let the servant speak and dropped him when he got his answer. "Gather a fleet, I'm going to save [Y/n], and we're going to erase those pirates."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
You kept your glare on the pirates outside your cage, wishing you could burn holes through their skulls. They were snickering amongst themselves over a game of cards, telling themselves what a good idea it was to take you hostage for ransom. They really don't know the forces they were messing with, do they? You weren't able to point out their mistake yet when one of their men open the cabin's door.
"Captain, there's a small ship in the distance," he reported as he held the door wide open.
"Seems like your buyers are here," the captain smirked at you.
"You're fools if you think Big Mom would pay you your demands," you stated. The man laughed in response, only stopping when he looked back at your glaring eyes.
"That's what you believe," he grinned crouching down in front of your cage. "But we're going to be the ones rolling in gold."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Uh captain," the lookout nervously called down to the deck.
"What is it now?" The man questioned with annoyance growling in his tone.
"It's a fleet of ships- a fleet of ships from Big Mom!" The subordinate warned, pointing toward the rear of the ship.
The captain dropped the heavy sack he carried and dashed to the back of the ship. Sure enough, the massive fleet was tailing them, and the small ship had already left. He growled and gripped the rail as his gaze landed on the sweet general leading the army, Katakuri.
Having the enemy in sight, Katakuri turned his head to address the crew. "Don't fire cannons just yet, I want [Y/n] safe in my possession first. Kill the enemies who resist and hold the others hostage, wait for my order to eliminate them," Katakuri instructed, receiving salutes in response. Looking back at the tiny vessel, he gripped his fist. "Just hang in there, [Y/n]. I'll make them pay!'
Ringing his arm behind his head, Katakuri threw the first attack, extending his mochi arm and taking out the enemy's mast. They slowed down while their sails sunk to the bottom of the ocean, letting the fleet surround them and board. The events turned into a massacre rather than a fight as the Charlottes painted the deck in blood, Katakuri dealing out the brutal fatalities to each pirate he faced.
Heading down to the cabins, Katakuri tore anything that stood in his way of getting to you. Heads, doors, planks, they were all scattered in his search. Reaching the end of the hall and tearing open the last door, Katakuri found himself in a room full of chests and cages, and in the corner stood the enemy captain, frozen in place. Katakuri's eyes glowed red and he sent a punch at the man, immobilizing him in mochi.
"Where's [Y/n]?" Katakuri demanded the whereabouts.
The captain gave him a smirk and a glow from Katakuri's eyes made him step back. The Charlotte glanced at the empty cage with a torn piece of your sleeve left behind. With widened eyes, he ran out of the room and onto the deck. Going to the front of the ship, trying to find any traces of the small ship, Katakuri could only see his family's ships on the horizon as the unspoken words of the pirate taunted his mind.
"I already sold her off."
