I had this interesting scenario where Vox one day becomes exhausted from his rivalry with Alastor after realizing that the one-sided interactions were becoming old. He later meets the reader (who can also be a part of the hotel) who starts hacking into Voxtech's database to troll the company for shits and giggles. This catches Vox's attention and he's pissed about it. You can do what you want for the rest but they continue to have this rivalry to the point where it's very well known around hell. From an outside perspective, there is just back-and-forth angry banter but there are moments where they're just;
Reader: *appears on screen* Hey Box head, guess who found some good blackmail with your name on it- Vox: *Is so close to having a breakdown, he had a bad week.* Reader: Oh shit- did something happen, are you okay? 😰
They hate each other but they don't hate hate each other. This can be taken as platonic or romantic. I sent this request to someone else but I wanted to share anyway.
Vox x troll/hacker reader: Why So Blue? (Oneshot/concept version)
Why So Blue fic Masterlist
A/N me when I get to write Vox getting utterly humiliated by a troll-y hacker demon 🫶
I changed about the order of stuff as things happen a bit and took creative liberties with this one - sorry if it's really different then the thought you originally had.
(REQUESTS ARE CLOSED, THIS WAS FROM THE LAST TIME THEY WERE OPEN)
Update: This was really well-received, and several people have requested a part 2. I've decided that I will be writing it properly from the start in a proper chapter kind of way rather than in this format so it makes continuity kind of work better rather then the drabbl-y format used here.
Cw: SFW, romantic, enemy's to lovers type beat, references to one-sided radiostatic, also references to staticmoth, mildly suggestive in one part 💀, gn reader, mostly light-hearted - idk if it qualifies as quite hurt/comfort lmao

- It was just a normal morning for Vox when you first showed up.
- As usual, he booted up for the day, got changed out of his casual clothes, and made his morning coffee.
- As he walked into his computer room, absentmindedly sipping his coffee while looking at his phone, he sits down in his desk.
- Then promptly spits out his mouthful.
- When he finally looks up at the screens around him, he's mortified to see a muted video of himself passionately (and very drunkly) singing and dancing horribly from last night while he was out with Valentino and Velvette.
- Posted on Sinstagram from his own account.
- Hundreds of comments flooded in underneath it; laughing, saying it's cute, complimenting his singing, and talking about the caption underneath with curiosity.
- The caption reads; 'For someone who talks so big about being ahead technologically, it was awfully easy to hack old Boxy here LMAO'
- Vox flips out instantly.
- It doesn't take long to take down the post, change all of his details, and post an official apology for his lack of professionalism with a hypnotising message to forget the whole incident occurred at all. He also does a massive comb over for any other breaches and changes all of his systems to be even more impenetrable to a potional attack.
- He calms down, and the incident fades away to the back of his mind.
- But then it happens again.
- Another morning, an employee is rushing into his studio as he wakes up properly, telling him this time that someone is somehow broadcasting Rick Astley's 'Never Gonna Give You Up' to the entirety of hell at 6 am, interrupting every one of the scheduled programs.
- There's a message in big letters on the bottom of every screen in hell, under the god forsaken video and song playing, saying, "What is love~? - U" Underneath them.
- And that's how it starts, the infuriating thorn in Vox's side that is 'U'. No matter how hard he tries, you're constantly undermining his efforts to keep you out of the system and tormenting him in ways that aren't necessarily malignant but are extremely damaging to his image as the overlord of technology.
- For some reason, he's the only Vee you seem hellbent on coming after as well. Vel finds your pranks funny or cute when they don't inconvenience her, and Valentino just likes to prod Vox into getting angrier further.
- He just cannot work out what your motivations are at all. Is it truly that you just want to piss him off? He doesn't understand why someone with such clear skills would simply use them to taunt him and leave him messages to unveil as he undoes whatever you do.
- It vexes him even farther when these messages from you that you leave for him to decode start to sound borderline flirtatious, which makes him feel all the more humiliated.
- He is a grown demon, skilled businessman and entrepreneur, an overlord, and yet you insist upon calling him things like Box, Boxbabe, Boxbitch, and even babygirl of all things for some goddamn reason.
- The back and forth goes on for months, and 'U' quickly becomes a long lasting meme, several people, much to Vox's horror, shipping you two together and even partaking in ship wars as to whether Vox x 'U' is better then Vox x Val.
- Theres one day where Vox quickly puts his phone down after reading a rather concerning expert from what is certainly explicit fanfiction between the two of you, even him deciding that that's enough internet for today while just sitting staring off into space silently for a solid 10 seconds.
- Vox's sleepless nights pouring over his code to try and keep out your attacks, him glitching out whenever he finds infuriating messages left by you, etc. Begin to become routine and he just anticipates the consistent blows to his pride you give him at every turn.
- A weird, unconscious part of him deep down begins to enjoy your rivalry, almost wanting to see what punches you pull out next to disarm his constant losing battle to keep you out, but it gets squashed down the second he becomes aware of it.
- The rivalry is always at arms length, but sometimes he has to stop himself from replying with the same vaguely flirtatious tone you take on whenever he experiences a small win against you.
- He fights to make sure he doesn't have any potential of getting too into it.
- Things take a different turn, though, with the double blow of Alastor coming back and his on-off relationship with Valentino once again going up in flames.
- After stopping his usual monitoring of all things going on in hell online and in real life as picked up by his cameras, he presses his face into his hands with a long, exhausted groan as he fights crying.
- All the people he was actually interested in were as unrequited as per usual. He always tried so hard with Alastor, but as always, he never got anything but met with the clear reminder they would never be anything more.
- And, of course, any potential of anything more happening with Val was completely off the table. It would be stupid to even think about anything real with him.
- He shut his eyes, putting his screen on the desk in front of him.
- Was he just not worth it? Was that it?
- He startled when he heard the familiar crackle of the speakers coming to life around him. It was rare he ever heard your voice coming through his speakers, you usually preferring to just leave messages, however you decided to surprise him tonight apparently.
- Your blurred out face appears on the screens, only showing the lower half of your grinning face.
- "Oh Boooooxybooooy! I found some world-shattering cringey shit you did 2 months back, i-" You begin singing out, before stopping, seeing by his expression.
- Vox was trembling, looking as if he was about fall apart at any second. His monitor was dulled, red eyes half lidded with pixelated bags forming under them, his bottom lip slightly quivering around his sharp teeth.
- "What the- fuck- ....are you alright?" You asked unsurely.
- Vox finally snapped out of it, realising that you were here witnessing him in a way that was very much not something he wanted you of all people to see him in. His mask slid back on, but it was hardly convincing.
- "Of course it is. What the fuck do you wa-ant. I've got shit to do." He inwardly cursed as his voice glitched slightly. God fucking dammit why did you have to show up.
- He watched your lips on your mostly blurred out face slightly curl as you hummed, clearly not buying it.
- "You wanna stop with the lying bullshit and tell me the truth, Boxhead?" You somewhat chided him, your hand coming into sight as you leaned your cheek onto it. Vox let out a growling sound, going to spit some vitriol at you, but was cut off as you absentmindedly made your next comment.
"Felt you once again have a fit about the radio demon going online. Lights in my house and the houses out my windows started flashing and shit. Is it hi-" your brows shot up and eyes widened, this hidden behind the censorship as you watched Vox, leader of the Vees, your rival, let out a shuddering breath and actually start crying comically pixilated tears right before your eyes.
- Vox's claws gripped into his desk as he grit his teeth as he let out a gasping breath he fought to stifle. He was so goddamn exhausted that he just couldn't be assed to keep it all up anymore. It wasn't like you hadn't seen rather unsavoury things he'd been trying to hide anyways.
- "No shit it's about Alastor. It's always about him. Does it get you off knowing I can't get with the guy I have always wanted no matter how hard I try? There. Are you fucking happy now?" His voice cracks as he snarls the words out at you.
- You let out a long humming sound, as if thinking. "I mean, not really. I'd only be happy if you were this upset over me, not some old hazbin radio announcer who fell off years ago." You shrug with a slightly sad smile.
- Vox squinted at you, confused.
- "I mean, come on, I'm your rival too. Why neglect me so much in all this?" You press your bottom lip out in mock sadness, tone mocking again. Your words are true despite the joking tone however, it did bother you that he always seemed so much more ready to go running after the most obviously aroace man you think you had seen in your entire fucking life.
- Vox couldn't believe what he was hearing, hot embarrassment caused his monitor to start heating up a bit, painting animated flush over his cheeks. "Oh, stop taking the piss, U. Fuck off." He scoffed, rolling his eyes, looking to the side in irritation.
- You chuckle at him, shaking your head and causing the thing blurring your face to shake with it. "Is it really that hard to believe I'm into what we have going on here?" Your voice is still lined with the usual tone you take on with him, but much less so.
- Vox looks back at your blurred, smiling face incredulously. "Yes." He growled, blinking his tears away as he regained his composure a bit.
- You sigh heavily, rolling your eyes. "Ooookay, well, once you're done riding the coattails of a man who will never want you, come hit me up, Boxhead." You say through smiling lips, before abruptly pressing 'hang up' on the call so he didn't have time to actually respond.
- Vox sat in bewildered silence, not able to react properly as his brain felt as if it was working on low resolution comprehending what you just said.
- His face heated up the more he thought about it, heart beginning to hammer in his chest as he laughed in disbelief. No way. No fucking way.
- But you had said it.
- Despite his usual pessimistic nature, he allowed himself to actually believe it, chuckling.
- He looked over to his phone as a notification sound rang out to see a photo of himself presumably just now; flustered, eyes wide in disbelief and unfocused while staring off into space, a crooked grin on his face.
- It was captioned as follows; 'POV: local pathetic radio simp finds out other rival actually wants him'
- "FUCK." He yelled out in embarrassment, knocking out several of his monitors with a surge of electricity.

Heroes vs. Villains : The Staff [Part 3]
Platonic GN!Reader x NRC Staff vs. RSA Staff Word Count: 2.3k
Summary: Woe to the Ramshackle Prefect, being caught up in the drama between the Disney Villains and their respective heroes. NRC Staff Version (Part 3)
ie. Detention begins, and the topic of Winter Break plans comes into question.
[PART 1] [PART 2] [PART 3] [PART 4]
Tumblr media
The first detention went about as well as you could have hoped.
You sorted paperwork, mindlessly graded the very same pop quizzes that had nearly given Deuce an aneurism just that morning, and shined all the stupid glassware that was needed to make all the stupid potions. It was grueling. And to think—you’d been doing this shit for fun not a month ago. What had been wrong with you?
“Maybe it was the Stockholm Syndrome,” you muttered irritably under your breath.
“What?”
“Nothing, sir,” you grumbled, and went back to organizing all of your tormentor’s seemingly endless collection of bits and bobs.
Professor Crewel looked over at you, his face twisted up like he wanted to say something. But after a moment of awkward silence, he just ducked his head back down to his paperwork and carried on without saying a thing.
The next afternoon didn’t look like it was shaping up to be much better. You shined, he scribbled, and you wished for nothing more than the sweet release of death. The quiet was disconcerting. Say what you will about all the time you’d spent holed up in this office before The Incident, but ‘silence’ had never been an issue. Even Crewel’s snide little barbs would be better than this—this nothingness.
‘You’re not even worth insulting anymore,’ your brain supplied helpfully. ‘Wow. Isn’t that a trip?’
“Are you almost finished?”
You startled a bit. It was the first full sentence he’d spoken to you all day. You glanced pointedly from him, to the walls upon walls of vials, and then back.
“No, sir.”
He sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose, like this entire situation was just all sorts of unpleasant for him. And not like, you know, he’d been the one to lock you into the school equivalent of prison labor for the next four weeks.
He closed the ledger he was working on with a pointed snap and stood from his chair with a grand swirl of his fur coat.
“You can be finished for the day,” he said, leaning forward to rifle around in the top drawer of his desk. “It’s already late, and you should start making your way back to your dorm before it gets too dark.”
You fought and won against the intense to desire to roll your eyes. The path back to Ramshackle was no easier to traverse in the black of night than it was in the bright light of the afternoon. And besides, it’s not like you were particularly worried about anything happening to you out there. The monsters at this school prowled its halls no matter the time of day. If anything, nighttime meant less potentially murderous magicians out on the loose. No one but you was stupid enough to try and go toe-to-toe with a wandering Tsunotarou.
“And take these with you.”
You startled once more as something was pressed into your hands. It was a familiar box—sleek and artfully colored with matte backgrounds and swirls of golden lettering etched across its face. These were the fancy cookies.
Thankfully, the spite in your belly was enough to gobble up whatever lingering love you had for the treats. Or at least, that’s what you told yourself when you passed them back to Professor Crewel with a tight smile.
“Thank you,” you said, pointedly reaching into your own backpack to procure a nearly wrapped pouch of Annie’s homemade pastries. “But I’m all set.”
His dark eyes lingered on your stash of chocolate chip cookies in a way that made you think he was going to demand you throw them away, and maybe start ranting hypocritically about the dangers of bringing food of any kind into an alchemical lab. His jaw ticked and you had the distinct impression that he was grinding his teeth.
Instead, Professor Crewel just sighed and returned the treats to his desk drawer.
“Of course,” he huffed, looking a bit dejected, and collapsed back into his chair without his usual elegance. Huh. Maybe you’d just foiled his plans to try and poison you or something. “Good evening, Prefect.”
The next afternoon, he did not mention the cookies. However, on your way out the door at the end of the night, you noticed that he’d placed the box near the coatrack—not quite on top of your belongings, but close enough.
And then it was there again the night after that.
And then again, and again.
.
.
“How’s the internment going?”
You heard a dull thwack and some angry shushing. Mister Rogerson’s laughter was muffled through the phone’s speaker, and you had a feeling that Annie had just tried to beat him with her shoe.
“It’s alright,” you snickered into your hand. “Prison is prison.”
“You know,” Mister Rogerson huffed. “I still say all of this is horribly unfair.”
You shrugged, and then remembered he couldn’t very well see that through a phone call, and sighed. “It could be worse.”
“Could it?” he asked, a clear frown in his voice.
You dutifully did not mention anything about Overblots and just sighed again. “I mean, probably.”
There was a bit of a scuffle on the other end and you heard little snippets of Annie’s kind trill. There was more laughter. It sounded warm—cozy. You glanced around at the grey, soot-stained walls of Ramshackle and tried not to feel sorry for yourself. Grim rolled over in his sleep and burrowed into your hip with a contented little mewl, which did help a bit.
“Annie wants to know if you got her care package,” Mister Rogerson said after a moment, sounding a bit like he’d gotten the wind knocked out of him. “And if you’ve thought at all about our offer to host you over the winter holidays.”
“I did, thank you,” you smiled. “It was all delicious.”
“And the break?” he asked after a moment.
“Crowley sent me some angry letter about taking care of the fairies that live in the kitchen stoves,” you said. “So I’ll have to see about that.”
“Just keep it in mind,” Mister Rogerson pressed, a bit of concern slipping into his otherwise laidback drawl. “Please?”
“Okay,” you smiled, feeling like you’d managed to steal a bit of that bubbly glow of theirs and tuck it away tight enough that even the chilly shadows of your new home wouldn’t be able to taint it. “I will.”
.
.
“Take care of the fairies in the boiler?”
“Yes,” said Crowley, with deadpan sincerity.
The other members of the staff looked on in silence—a lovely range of ‘fed up’ to ‘outright contempt’ twisting their faces.
“Well I thought it was an excellent idea,” he huffed, crossing his arms petulantly over his chest.
“No wonder this child hates you,” Trein hissed under his breath and worked his fingers into his temples like maybe if he drilled hard enough he could kill the Crowley-Induced-Migraine before it began.
The Old Crow gasped.
“How dare you—”
“And you,” Trein interrupted, turning on Crewel with a sneer. “What exactly are you trying to accomplish with any of this, Divus? An entire month’s worth of disciplinary action for one infarction? I thought you were better than, well,” a pointed glower at the raving Headmaster who was nearly collapsed in tears before them, “that.”
Crewel’s lips curled into a bitter snarl, but the aging historian before him was far from cowed.
“That’s none of your concern,” he snapped. “This is a matter between the Prefect and I, and their willful disobedience when it comes to following the rules of this institution.”
“Is that so,” Trein hummed, arching a brow in obvious skepticism. “But then again, what would I know anything about raising unruly children? I only have two lovely, successful, daughters of my own. Remind me, when was the last time you allotted even an ounce of affection to anything that wasn’t one of your purebred mongrels? Or your own ego?”
Crewel stepped forward with a scowl that was more a restrained baring of teeth.
“That has nothing to do with anything,” he sneered.
“Say what you will,” Mozus Trein tutted, and glared down his nose at the pair of them—Crewel with his poorly cloaked rage and Crowley who still refused to stop wailing about the injustices of it all. “But both of my children will be coming home for the holidays. Voluntarily.”
“Oooh,” Sam trilled, uncurling himself from the shadows for the first time all afternoon. “Get ‘em, Mozus.”
.
.
You ended up staying at Ramshackle over the break, if only because you couldn’t tell at this point if ‘oven fairies’ were a real thing, and if they were and they did starve, you’d feel absolutely terrible. Your rap sheet in this word was already a mile long—you didn’t need to add homicide to the list.
And then, of course, you ended up being kidnapped by Jamil and his smooth-talking self not a day in, so your act of goodwill really was all for naught.
You paced around your luxurious little guestroom cell, phone in hand. There wasn’t a lot of charge left on it, but you definitely had enough to make a call or two. Mister Rogerson would come help you, you knew he would. But… the problem was that you were kind of becoming a Blot expert at this point, and from the looks of things, Jamil Viper was about to go apeshit and melt into Enraged Ink Monster Number Four. Sure, the guy may have kidnapped you. But he also made great curry, and really didn’t seem that bad underneath it all. Just... quiet. And fed up with living a life of forced servitude and mediocrity. Which, y’know, totally fair.
You paced and paced.
“They have to be reported to the proper authorities,” Mister Rogerson had said. “And dealt with accordingly.”
“They’d be taken away?” you’d whispered.
“I know it sounds scary, kiddo. But that’s what we have to do to keep everyone as safe as we can.”
You grit your teeth and called Ace and Deuce instead.
They were immediately no help at all and Jamil ended up Overblotting anyways.
“Y’know,” Grim grouched, shivering into your side after Evil Jamil had yeeted you off into The Unknown and Freezing Corners of Sandy Hell. “You really should start charging for these things. We could probably make a lot of money or something.”
“That’s a great idea,” Azul nodded along, and you wanted to beat the shit out of them both.
In the end, you saved the day. As usual.
Jamil was de-inked. He was still a miserable wad of repressed hatred, but at least he was being open about it now. Everyone was alive. Azul promised to only bill you his usual rate for assistance rather than the holiday upcharge. Kalim held a feast, as per usual. And Ace and Deuce showed up at the tail end of it all, which was incredibly sweet of them and also on track with their usual brand of stupidity.
Everything had turned out great!
Except…
“How was your break?” Mister Rogerson asked. “We missed you over here!”
“It was great,” you lied, images of black tar running from narrowed eyes and the suffocating sensation of dark magic flooding your throat. “It was great.”
.
.
You walked into detention on Monday afternoon feeling like shit warmed over. And looking like it too, you would guess, seeing the way Crewel’s eyebrows shot all the way up his forehead.
You stayed silent throughout the whole thing, quietly sorting bottles and blends, and trying to keep your mind off the fact that you had very nearly died. Again. You could feel Crewel’s eyes on you throughout the entire ordeal, tracking you in a way that reminded you of someone watching a car crash that they just couldn’t quite force themselves to look away from.
“Prefect,” he called as your were half-way through shrugging on your coat at the end of the evening.
“Yes, sir?” you sighed, not even bothering to look up from the floor.
He was silent for one moment, two, three.
“…Get some rest tonight,” he ordered. It sounded like a cop out—like he’d wanted to say something else but hadn’t had the words for it.
You sighed again, bone deep and weary. “Yes, sir.”
.
.
You did not, in fact, rest that night. A horrible cocktail of nightmares tugged at your brain from dusk ‘til dawn, and you woke up feeling worse than you had when you’d gone to sleep.
You barely forced yourself to go to detention, and only because you knew it would only get worse if you tried to skip out. However, when the door to Crewel’s office creaked open, you were not met by a head of neatly dyed black-and-white hair, but a yowling mass of flying fur and limbs that immediately sent you sprawling to the floor.
Jasper and Badun yelped and cried in the ways that all excited dogs cry, and laved your face with so many kisses you couldn’t have counted them even if you tried. Your hands went into their soft scruffs on instinct, and you had to fight valiantly not to burst into tears.
There was a hand at your back then, urging you towards the comfy, plush, chair that you’d once called yours. You plopped gracelessly against the opulent cushions, and the pair of delighted dogs quickly bounded up to join you—squishing their too-large bodies into your lap and across the armrests. The duo buried their noses into your shoulder, your hip, any nook and cranny they could reach. And you felt warm for the first time since the holidays.
When you woke up later (hours? Days? You couldn’t tell), you and Jasper and Badun were all still bundled together in that chair—the three of you tucked in gently beneath the soft furs of a very familiar black and white coat.

Do you take fanfic request? This isn’t my own yuu but I’d love to see your vet!yuu taking care of the Savanaclaw boys but when they’re suddenly turned into their kids selves!
Okay, I have time.
Vet!Yuu x Leona, Ruggie, and Jack (platonic bc babies)
The job of a resident vet is never done. The constant calls to Savanaclaw for almost every task involving health checks, shots, and sprain takes the life out of you. Couple that with the most uncooperative patients and you get exhausted.
The school nurse had handed their duties off to Yuu so they didn't collapse after another beastman ran from their scheduled vaccination.
But now Yuu had three new things dropped on them. Leona, Ruggie, and Jack all had been affected by a potions incident (when is it ever not). Until Crewel came back with the antidote Yuu has to watch them.
Leona was about 3, Ruggie was 2 and Jack was somewhere around 10-12 months.
Yuu began preparing food for around the clock feeding. Mainly shredded meat for Leona and Ruggie and a mixture of milk and blended meat for Jack to make wetfood.
Tumblr media
Leona
It's not too bad actually. Lion cubs sleep about 20 hours a day and only wake to eat and play. Leona was already lazy as is so it shouldn't be too hard.
Leona's hair was much lighter than it was before. It was a tawny brown with spots. His hair was also much shorter since he had yet to grow his mane.
He couldn't even growl when he demanded to be fed and all that came out was a squeaky mew.
Yuu remembered how Leona's sister-in-law and brother gushed about how cute Leona was as a kid and they had to agree.
Leona was much more cheerful than before and eyed everything with curiosity and challenge. He'd eagerly explore and claim everything. And when it was nap time he'd roll on his back and sleep with his arms wrapped around himself.
Yuu had learned that Leona would only stay put when he was awake if Yuu ordered him to. Like a mother lion hiding her cubs in the African bush Yuu would place the wondering cub somewhere safe while they got food to bring back.
Leona would use Yuu to play fight as he nipped Yuu's ears after climbing on their back and would search for Yuu's tail to bite. He was frustrated when he couldn't find a tail.
Leona was jealous of the other cubs and would constantly get in the middle whenever Yuu picked up and take care of the others.
Yuu's patience wasn't limitless though and after Leona got too close to Ruggie he was placed in front of a TV with Jack to watch Bluey. Only for Leona to pin Jack down to play fight. Jack squirmed and yipped under the older lion before crying.
He got snatched up by the scruff because he was too big to be wrestling with the pup.
Yuu thought it would be best to call Leona's family to watch him. They were elated to spoil him all over again. They really missed their cub.
Leona didn't want to leave and protested until the queen chuffed at him to follow.
Tumblr media
Ruggie
Oh no.Nonono! Hyena pups are dangerous.
Ruggie might be mischievous but he's harmless. But as a pup...
Yuu immediately did the responsible thing and built a barrier between Ruggie and the other cubs. Hyenas do best as only children ironically.
Say what you want but Hyenas are born aggressive. In fact, when they are born they will begin attacking their littermates, especially those of the same gender and they will kill each other. This means less competition for food. They are social animals which means showing dominance is important from birth.
There's also the fact that their bite is literally worse than their bark. Ruggie would gladly bite Jack's fragile neck the moment the barricade goes down. Jack was currently the smallest of the three and an easy target.
Ruggie isn't being murderous and his intention isn't to hurt anyone but Hyenas are built differently from the rest. Stronger jaws, thicker skin, and high immunity makes him dangerous on principle.
Yuu had seen caretakers separate many hyena litters to keep them safe and Yuu knows its only responsible. No amount of whining from Ruggie will convince them to set him free. He stays in baby jail.
Ruggie was dangerous cute though with this hair much darker and his tiny yips. That is until Ruggie wanted Yuu to know he was hungry.
Unlike the others who had cute little mews and whines, hyenas had a unique sound to get mom's attention. It's called Squitting and the sounds like nails on chalkboards but worse. And Ruggie is a loud pup. Its the equivalent to psychological terrorism until Ruggie is fed and ironically not just any food will do.
Ruggie saw Jack getting hand fed earlier and demands the same. (Hyenas only get what they want with boldness) Yuu gives in as they dodge the pup's every attempt to chew up their fingers.
Yuu was exhausted and took a nap when Ruggie finally went to sleep only to wake up when the hyena managed to lure Leona to where the makeshift baby cage was. Ruggie clearly wanted to do more than nip this time.
After removing the lion cub, Ruggie was given stuffed animals to rip apart instead. Many toys were beheaded that day.
Tumblr media
Jack
A normal one thank god! Okay, not normal but certainly contained.
He was younger than the other two and while he can crawl he wasn't walking. He couldn't cause any trouble.
Jack had slightly darker hair at his age and bright blue eyes. They would change when he got older. He also clearly couldn't see or hear well yet. His ears were still curled.
Okay, that last part was not true. Jack wasn't a biter but he would nibble on Yuu when he got hungry. He was clingy and because he was younger than the others he'd get preferential treatment. Leona and Ruggie hated that. Every time Yuu picked him up the others began fussing and yelling. But if Yuu put him down Jack would begin crying and howling.
When it was time for Jack to 'go' Yuu had to massage Jack's belly to encourage him. Yuu wondered if it was the same for human babies because they were surprised by how well it worked. They would also hold this over Jack's head that they changed his diapers.
When he wanted Leona's toy he'd roll around and whine while trying to take it. It's normal behavior for a pup.
Wolf pups are spoiled by the pack. All older members give into their whelp's desires and Jack wants Leona to give in. This "Puppy privilege" won't work on Leona though who hissed at the pup.
When that didn't work Jack whined for Yuu to get it for him which didn't work. Jack tried his best though as he nuzzled into Yuu's body. Yuu gave him a different toy instead.
Thankfully Jack didn't get attacked by the others and went to sleep.
End
Yuu thanked any merciful deity when the boys turned back. They had no interest and raising them.
Human or beast babies are trouble especially ones with instincts to cause trouble. They are lucky they were cute.

Vox and Velvette continuing to work with Valentino confuses me. Like, not even from a morality standpoint or "oh he treats them like shit", it's just a weird fuckin business choice. That man almost ruined one of Velvette's shows because he was throwing a tantrum, Vox regularly has to prevent him from causing scenes in public, he ACTIVELY ENCOURAGES VOX TO CAUSE A SCENE IN PUBLIC, he just seems like more trouble then he's worth, y'know? And on the surface it really does seem like he'd be pretty easy to get rid of. Since Vox could ABSOLUTELY kick his ass to kingdom come(like c'mon he can hold his own against ALASTOR-), and Vox and Velvette combine control literally all of the media in Hell(sans radio), they could kick Val out, or even straight up kill him, and then flood Hell with propaganda painting themselves as Good and Correct for this(which to be fair wouldn't be hard...). So then like. Why are they still working with him.
And then I remembered ~soul contracts~ and was like. Wait nvm that makes sense.
Right out the gate gotta make it clear that I do NOT MEAN THAT VAL OWNS THEIR SOULS OR ANYTHING that would be stupid. I mean like, social/political/whateverthefuck overlords got going on power works differently in Hazbin Hell then it does in any other setting. The Vees don't just have their reputation, they also have their soul contracts. And Valentino owns a LOT of souls. So, no matter how much propaganda the other two throw out there, no matter how low they drag him, Hell even if they kill him!, Vox and Velvette would lose a LOT of power by getting rid of Val. No matter how much damage he could do to the brand, they keep him around because he's better off as an ally then he is as an enemy, and he just. Hasn't done anything either consider egregious enough to outweigh any possible benefits of working with him, I guess. Small, fixable incidents that may damage the brand VS losing all those souls? The answers kinda obvious. There also might be a contract going on between the Vees but that's less about their souls being bound or whatever and more about like. Business. So. Not particularly dangerous for any of them I don't think.
Also there are two smaller reasons I'd like to discuss before I stop rambling: 1; Velvette probably uses Val's spit to make the love potions and 2; emotional connections with the other Vees.
The love potion thing is kinda obvious. Without Val, Velvette wouldn't be able to make her roofie juice, and since this is. Hell. Where all the sexually deviant freaks go to rot. Of course that's gonna be a popular item. And while I think the Vees would probably be fine if they took it off the market, that would still probably take a sizable chunk out of their profits, y'know? They can't really make it without Val's weird, disgusting pheramone spit.
And reason number 2: emotional connection. The Vees are a horrendous toxic polycule and we all know it. While I, personally, don't think Velvette and Valentino are dating(I still don't fucking trust that man and it's bad enough that he's involved with Vox), they do both have chemistry with Vox, and probably are at least on decent terms since they like. Sit together sometimes. WHATEVER THIS ISN'T A VEES RELATIONSHIP ANALYSIS(Im saving that for later)- basically what I'm saying is that Vox and Velvette probably, on some level, do care about and trust(?) Val, and vice versa. How much do they care? Unclear. Val's capacity for love is still TBD and Vox and Velvette's relationship seems a bit shakey at best, like they don't *fully* trust eachother, but there's still affection there!!! The Vees are exactly why we don't let villains discover the power of friendship, people!!!!!!!!! Like their part in the Finale is all the proof I need. You don't dance around like that with your business partners/fuck buddies lmfao, there's gotta be some genuine feeling there. So, at least a small part of why Val is still. Here. Is because Vox and Velvette do care about him. And, despite the fact that the three of them are entirely morally bankrupt and will probably die next season(god please don't let Vox die he's so silly :(), I can't help but find it sweet that they do kind of care about eachother. Like it's nice <3
Tumblr media
(Genuinely though I am still worried for Vox and Vel's safety like idc how bad those two are idc if they're on decent-ish terms with Val most of the time he is still the most realistically dangerous character in the damn show besides *maybe* Alastor's serial killer ass and anybody within a 10 foot radius of him should be considered At Risk)

HL Boys smelling female MC's perfume Part 2
Y'all really like the perfume posts, so I grace you with Part 2, a continuation of the little blurbs previously written with MC as their lover now. Perfumes listed for each character and credits to @cranberryletters and @hogwartslegacyreactions.
Boys Edition : Part 1
Girl's edition : Part 1, Part 2
Sebastian Sallow : (Penhaligon's Lavandula)
The Undercroft was cold and dim. Sebastian needed time to get away from people, overwhelmed by it all. He was so tired, stressed and... defeated. The events that happened from his 5th year is now weighing on him, leaving him haunted as he slumped into the wall, his legs giving out as Sebastian stared at the ceiling. He didn't expect MC coming into the Undercroft, a worried look written on her face. MC asked him if he was all right. Does he even look all right? He snorted sarcastically at this question, looking back at her with indifference. MC sighed, going to his side as she sat next to him, giving Sebastian a big hug. At first Sebastian didn't feel indifferent to MC's hug, but his arms found itself wrapped around her waist tight, catching that smell again. Oh he missed that scent, that lavender scent she wears so well, blended with a slight hint of vanilla and spicy notes. It came in like a comforting voice, a lover's embrace to calm Sebastian's pain. Unashamedly so that he buried his nose onto the crook of MC's neck, taking in deep breaths to smell her scent again. So much so Sebastian didn't notice MC's gasp, her eyelids fluttering at the intensity of his hold on her. In the sheer hunger of needing comfort, Sebastian kissed MC on the lips passionately. Neither of them broke from the kiss, finding themselves wrapped in a passionate embrace. After needing some air, Sebastian asked if MC would come and stay with him in Feldcroft for the summer. He smirked when she said yes.
Ominis Gaunt: (Chanel's No 5)
He couldn't get enough of that scent and it frustrated him so. MC decided to play coy when Ominis finally asked about her perfume, saying that she will tell him if he willingly would go to the upcoming school ball with her. Reluctantly, Ominis agreed. Ominis found himself wearing his dress robes as he waits for MC in the Great Hall during that night, nervous as it all could be a trick and he was stood up. Ominis heard the gasps and murmurs, wondering who that could be. But upon catching that scent, he smiled as MC held his hand, leading him to the dancefloor when the music started to play. Sighing, he held MC in a waltz position, praying that he didn't step on her toes. Suprisingly she caught up to him in speed and steps, the two moving in sync. Upon smelling her close up, Ominis could finally note the iris, musk, vanilla and other things... but it was incomplete as it was missing one more note. As MC got tired of dancing and wanted to take a breather, Ominis followed suit, sitting down in the moonlit garden. Ominis now didn't find the scent annoying or bothersome, rather it greets him like an elegant work of art that was put on display. He and MC admitted their feelings towards on another, leading to a chaste kiss and a warm embrace. Ominis found the missing note on that perfume. Her.
Garreth Weasley: (Replica's Lazy Sunday Morning)
He watches MC sleeping peacefully next to him after they made love yesterday night. Garreth let his fingers dance around MC's hair, slowly moving towards the skin on her back. The Sunday morning peeked through the window, giving MC a sort of halo. Garreth felt blessed to witness a rare beautiful sight. MC woke up, stretching slightly with the white linen bedsheets. She turned to her side, greeting him with a sleepy smile as she snuggled up to him. Garreth gave MC a kiss on her lips, taking in that scent he smelt from her handkerchief from that potions incident. Oh, how that scent charmed him so, with it's musky yet clean notes blending together with that light touch of pear and florals. Garreth sighed as he held MC tight, continuously giving her small kisses and whispering sweet nothings while she held him tight, giving him small moans that was music to his ears. They spent the whole morning in that bed, the conversation going from pillow talk to dreams of the future. Garreth chuckled and supported her ambitions, while she can't wait to see him become a master potioneer. They both smiled at each other, looking forward to what came next. The impression from that scent that first hit Garreth did came true in the end. It was better than Garreth could ever dream of. Maybe now it is a good time to pull out that ring he kept hidden in the bedside table.
Amit Thakkar: (Diptyque's Tam Dao)
MC wanted to explore the rest of the magical world after graduation. Amit willingly obliged, wanting to go with her to see the spots where it is just perfect to set up a telescope to view the stars above. Upon landing in his homeland of India during their travels, Amit asked if she was willing to visit his homestate of Bombay, or as he calls it, Gujarat. MC said yes, and Amit felt his heart over soared with joy. He also actually bought the train tickets ahead of time so he felt relief when she said yes otherwise those tickets would have gone to waste. The tropical heat and hearing the familiar Gujarati language cured Amit's homesickness once the train stopped at his hometown. He had to admit, he had been away for too long. He showed MC the temples and their gods and goddesses, explaining their roles in Hinduism. MC listened with a curious mind, a keen pupil as she always was when Amit studies with her about Astronomy. Amit gulped when they arrived at his childhood home, awaiting the flurry of questions from his parents regarding MC. MC knew how to charm her way through, answering each and every question while sprinkling some good things about their son. As MC played the charming guest, Amit couldn't help but to catch her scent again. Oh that sandal and cedar wood that reminded him of his childhood worn by her gave him such a yearning for his home that he fell for her since, wondering how he landed MC. Now that she is here, it just felt right. He stared at MC as she politely excuses herself to freshen up, giving Amit a kiss on the forehead as she goes to another room. And that is when Amit wanted to bury himself in shame as his parents nag him on when he is going to marry her.
Leander Prewett: (Goutal's Petite Cherie)
She can't be beat. He has tried everything but somehow MC always got better. On the last Summoner Court's match he lost by 70 points, leading Leander to admit defeat and walk away in shame. he didn't even care that MC was calling out to him until he felt a jolt, her hand grasping on his robes. MC asked why he was always challenging her in everything. Sighing, Leander admitted for once he just wanted to be good in something, perhaps something that can prove he was worthy of the house of Gryffindor. MC gave him a pat on the back, offering to teach him. In fact, she even offered to be his dueling partner so he can learn a thing or two. Slowly, Leander had to admit he wanted to be in MC's company. He began to join her in exploring caves or some quiet study time, relishing in what she had to share with him. She always had that pull about her, down to her scent. Oh how that grassy notes of pear and peach settle down to a bouquet of roses and lilac on her skin and clothes. She doesn't know about how magnetic she was, was she? It was one of those days that MC asked him to meet her at the black lake, something about buried treasure. Leander took a deep breath as he held to those roses tight, waiting for her. He was going to prove his bravery to her by asking her out right now.
Everett Clopton: (Loewe's 001)
Whoa! Those new broom upgrades was worth every galleon spent. Everett swished around the Southern course, with MC just right behind him. The two merely only wanted to test it out, leading to them doing a broom race. Honestly, Imelda might be foaming at the mouth seeing those two beating her score halfway. Everett looked back, ensuring MC wasn't too far behind. Unfortunately, he went too fast that for a split second, he found himself going flat on a tree. MC screamed in shock , then yelling Arresto Momentum to prevent him from falling down faster. That was some good timing, he thought as he landed on the ground gently with MC landing on her broom, looking frantic. He is okay, he faced worse broom accidents. MC isn't having it and shoves him a bottle of Wiggenweld. Fine, fine, he will drink one. As he drank, he caught a wiff of himself. Thank Merlin that he actually wore some cologne this time with MC so close to him. He gave her a kiss of reassurance on her forehead, seeing that she really was worried. Leaning his head on the crook of her neck, he gave a little laugh as he basked into that familiar scent of tangerine and bergamot that gave way to the jasmine, amber and linen. MC's body heat was the finishing touch to that scent as Everett looked up at her, giving a child like smirk. Upon seeing MC rolled her eyes and giving him a kiss in return, Everett knew he won, more ways than one.

(It’s time for a 4halo ramble and analysis into their current relationship! Everything that follows is about the characters, I’m not using the q! because I’m lazy. I also want to repeat that while I am a 4halo shipper this entire rant is me explaining why I don’t want them to get together right now or anywhere in the near future. I don’t really consider this 4halo neg but let me know if you want me to tag it as such - they have the chemistry and in a distant future I could see it - but the fluffy 4halo that everyone seems to be imagining right now? I can’t see it happening. Toxic 4halo is another story entirely though and not what this ramble is about)
Okay you have been warned (THIS IS LONG):
not saying I’m not a huge 4halo enjoyer because. I am. But I do hope they don’t actually “become canon” or get into a relationship for the foreseeable future. Because the only realistic way that will end is in a giant, heart-wrenching break-up after like. 2 weeks. And I don’t see the ship recovering from that I’m gonna be honest.
Look. They can barely communicate as they are right now, any kind of committed relationship between them would end in fire and brimstone - especially when you take into account the power imbalance that is already causing problems.
Forever has not apologized for jailing Bad, even though Bad has asked for it (a rare show of communication on his part) and he might not apologize ever because he thinks he’s in the right. Somehow Cellbit is the only one to have apologized despite being the one calling for Bad’s head the most during the actual furniture incident. Anyway, Bad knows Forever thinks he’s in the right. And Bad also knows Forever wielded his presidential power to keep him jailed - so if Forever’s not sorry and he believes he was right, what’s to stop him from doing it again - in Bad’s mind, that is. There are actually quite a few things keeping him from doing it again, chief among them being that he doesn’t want to lmao. But Bad wouldn’t know that, would he?
I just- The imprisonment hurt Bad’s trust in everyone so badly that he destroyed every waystone in his base - and he when he found out Pac had someone gotten in anyway, he destroyed the waystone again. I don’t think people understand how long he’s been contemplating doing that. I don’t think people understand how many times he’s decided against destroying his waystones. It takes a pretty big fuck up to get him to do that. It takes a fuck-up of pretty tremendous proportions. And he did that last bit with Pac extremely recently too, which means he hasn’t forgotten.
And that - the whole furniture fiasco - that’s not a misstep that will just smooth over if Bad and Forever just care about each other hard enough. They already care about each other deeply - it didn’t stop the conflict. It’s not something everyone can just sweep under the rug with the power of love and no actual communication. Or at least I hope it’s not. It shouldn’t be. Any relationship the two get into right now will be steeped in distrust and wariness on Bad’s part due to the amount of power Forever can choose to use against him at any moment. And even if Forever hadn’t imprisoned him, that would still probably be the case, albeit to a much lesser extent. But Forever did imprison him, so now Bad’s not only wary of Forever turning on him in a hypothetical sense - he has past experience with that exact scenario. He has reason to distrust. It’s not paranoia in this instance; it’s genuine, rational distrust, which is even harder to alleviate.
By the way, that’s not even taking into account that Bad now knows of the existence of a drug that can brainwash Forever into potentially abusing his power against his own will. Think about how scary we all thought the drug-induced marriage proposals were. Think about how much scarier it would’ve been if Bad and Forever had actually been dating at the time. I’m not going to get into the risus potion here, or what implications it has for Bad’s trust in Forever - or more accurately, the trust he has in Forever’s position of power - because that’s too fucking complicated for my silly brain right now and this is long enough.
So basically: how is a relationship between a president and an anarchist supposed to work? Is Bad supposed to shut up, abandon his core principles, and do whatever Forever wants? When he opposes/attempts to help Forever improve the voting system he’s not being ‘immature’ - he’s acting in perfect accordance with his own belief system. There are points where he does act antagonist in an immature manner but in those instances he is very obviously being dramatic on purpose (and Forever does it as well). Him thinking Forever’s voting system isn’t fair isn’t him being immature, it’s just him being politically opposed. And Forever - what about Forever? Is Forever supposed to throw away his entire presidency? Oh, Bad’s an anarchist so that means Forever has to give up everything he’s worked so hard to accomplish, all the plans he has, all the good he’s desperately trying to do despite the fact that the nature of his position is scaring his loved ones away? He’s supposed to let everyone boss him around? Just because his crush hates government? Really? See, none of these options sounds particularly healthy, but their friendship isn’t even healthy right now so I can’t see them somehow reaching a better alternative.
Idk if you couldn’t tell I don’t like it when people non-jokingly boil down Bad and Forever’s political arguments as something that’ll be solved if one of them gives in or apologizes. Because they won’t. Because neither of them is wrong. Forever was partially right when he told Bagi that nothing he does as president will ever satisfy Bad - Bad is an anarchist, the fact that a government has been forced on him in the first place is already a fundamental problem - and that’s not wrong of him! It’s a genuine difference in beliefs and neither of them is wrong! Bad is not somehow automatically wrong because he’s an anarchist, and Forever is not somehow automatically wrong because he’s the president. Grrr bark woof grr bark, etc… you get what I mean.
(TLDR; if 4halo becomes canon right now it’ll crash and burn instantly and kill everyone on board which I don’t want to happen. Therefore I don’t wish for it to be canon.)

I was supposed to do this yesterday but I had homework so here is your Owl House DSMP AU dump :] (There are 2 versions btw)
"MAIN" Owl House DSMP AU: The Crow House(still coming up with a better name):
The island/demon realm this takes place in is called Essempii because Dream SMP sounds a bit on the nose considering Dream's role in this.
Tommy - Luz:
Tommy stumbles into the Essempii when Brian(Phil's crow/palisman) snatches the jar Shroud(Tommy's pet tarantula) was being kept in while he was on a walk holding Shroud's travel jar(don't worry, Tommy has a properly sized habitat for Shroud, the jar is only when Tommy wants to take Shroud out of the house. And yes I had to research proper tarantula care.)
Also, Shroud is a completely black curly-haired tarantula because it looked the closest to a Minecraft spider and was also a common species of tarantula to keep.
Tommy got in trouble a lot in school(in the human realm) for various reasons like letting raccoons into the school because he felt bad for them living on the streets, sneaking Shroud into the school and putting him in someone's hair(usually someone he found annoying), causing small fires in the science lab, and getting into fights with pricks, y'know, the usual.
When Tommy discovered the Essempii, it was on a Friday and close to summer break. He stays there for the weekend or a single day and leaves afterward. He makes a promise to come back when he's off for the summer.
Potions was the first type of magic Tommy learned to actually use and also got interested in Beast-keeping
Tommy learned about glyphs from Tubbo when they first met which I'll probably have a separate post for since I have a scene planned for it already. Basically, Tubbo knows about glyphs from experimenting but only knows the basic ones since he has the magic to not need them except for experiments. When they first met, Tubbo was using glyphs for an experiment that involved making basically a grenade. Tubbo taught Tommy the glyphs he knows and later, Tommy was able to figure out how to combine them.
Tommy's palisman will definitely be a raccoon in this AU version :))))) (In the 2nd AU version, he has a phoenix palisman)
Greek mythology isn't known in the Essempii, but Tommy read about Greek Mythology when he got bored back in the human realm.
Phil - Eda:
ANARCHYYYYYY (He's an anarchist)
He wasn't cursed by someone close to him(mostly because idk who it would be that doesn't already have a separate role). He was cursed by Admin Dream(who takes the role of Emperor Belos) for using wild magic and was going to be put into Pandora's Vault along with being cursed, chained up like a wild animal. This is the typical punishment for people who are caught using wild magic. However, Phil was able to escape and keep the curse under control. I have the perfect video to show what Phil looks like when the curse takes over but I don't have the energy to find it.
Also, I'm highly considering if Chat should be Hooty. We're definitely silly enough for it :/
His hardcore heart pendant thing is how he guages his magic
The curse didn't give him his wings. What the curse actually does is amplify hybrid genes.
Phil used to carve palismen for people in the Essempii but as the wood for palismen became more scarce, he couldn't do that anymore.
Tubbo - Gus/Willow
Tubbo mainly uses plant magic like Willow, but has Gus's general energy.
Although he mostly uses plant magic at school, he loves to use fire or explosive magic which- y'know, doesn't work out well considering plants are flammable and- yeah :/ He causes wayyyy too many fires. However, when he combines this magic, it's really useful in combat.
Tubbo likes experimenting with mixing magic and gets in trouble for it a lot but somehow finds a way to get out of trouble. After a very risky incident that nearly ended with serious consequences, he stuck to doing magic-mixing experiments in a secret lab setup in the forest(which is where he first met Tommy)
Has a bee palisman but I'm still figuring out a name
Tubbo has a garden and likes to put any weeds he pulls out into their own separate planters since he thinks they deserve to live as much as the other plants do because they're also just trying to survive(I got this idea from Tommy in Unlikely Events)
Tubbo and Tommy's shared love for animals and chaos caused them to get along well
When Tubbo isn't at school, he basically looks like a young version of QSMP! Tubbo's design
After students are able to join multiple tracks, Tubbo joins the beast-keeping and potion tracks along with staying in his current track
Ranboo - Gus/Willow
I have so much extra lore for Ranboo TvT
Even though they're in the Oracle track, they use other types of magic, mainly illusion and healing. Obviously, they are careful about when they use it and isn't as careless about it as Tubbo since they're trying to stay under the radar
They're secretly an enderian, a hybrid race that was slaughtered after Admin Dream took the throne because their enderpearls(which allowed them to teleport freely) were considered wild magic. Another big reason they were killed was because they have a natural talent for magic which Dream feared because they had the power to take him down if they worked together. Enderians were also one of the first people to discover magic so wild magic is ingrained in their culture.
To hide the fact they're an enderian, they use a concealment stone to hide their hybrid traits. Without the concealment stone, they basically look exactly like C! Ranboo but with different clothes. With the concealment stone, they look human(but with pointy ears of course) with heteochromic eyes(warm brown and muddled green), split black and white hair, and vitiligo.
Some enderians survived and had secret camps around the Essempii. The one Ranboo was born in was discovered and raided by Dream's army. Ranboo survived the attack because their parents hid them and gave him the concealment stone and a necklace that is a family heirloom. The pendant of the necklace looks like an eye of ender but smaller.
The concealment stone is kinda weak because to hide it, Ranboo broke it into smaller pieces so it could fit inside the eye of ender pendant. Ranboo uses their magic to help the illusion be more stable.
Sometimes, their magic isn't able to fully support the illusion so their mouth, hands, and eyes revert back and speckles of his black and white skin appear like freckles. To hide this, he wears a mask, sunglasses, and gloves.
They also know healing magic because they learned it back before the Enderian camp was invaded. They thought it would be useful and it comes in handy since Tubbo and Tommy always get hurt because they are chaotic and have a knack for getting in trouble.
Once they're able to take multiple tracks, they take the illusion and healing track. They want to learn how to control their illusions better to stay more concealed and they want to be able to heal Tommy and Tubbo when they get bigger, more dangerous wounds.
Okay that's it for now, I didn't realize how long this would take. I didn't even get to start talking about my 2nd Owl House DSMP AU(which is the one I like better despite it being newer and less planned). I'll continue with this AU in the next post then finally get to my 2nd AU.

Seneschal || jjk (Part 1)
Tumblr media
➥Pairing: vampire!jungkook/reader, former prince!jungkook/reader
➥Summary: Having been burned by the rest of the world, Jungkook was content to watch it go up in flames. Or, at least, he was until you gave him hope for something new. As plans are set in motion to unite your rival kingdoms, unforeseen circumstances arise. In the midst of the chaos, Jungkook is sure of one thing: he’d be damned if he let you get burned, too.
➥Genre: strangers to lovers, angst, slow burn, (eventual) fluff, (eventual) smut, royalty au, supernatural au
➥Rating: 18+
➥Words: ~6k
➥Content Warnings: a bit of angst, no smut in the first part but there is a little bit of nudity mentioned, blood and violence are mentioned, vampire lore(?), swearing, this is more of an intro chapter than anything else so there isn’t a whole lot that happens
A/N: so uh…it’s been a while, yeah? I haven’t updated any of my BTS fics on this blog in over a year due to a lot of life things (you can read here if you’re curious as to why), but I finally had a little time to sit down and dedicate to this idea I teased back in November 2021. As mentioned in the content warnings, this is more of an intro chapter so there isn’t a whole lot going on…definitely will be more happening later.
Anyways all that to say thank you to everyone who has supported/is still supporting me and my writing even during my hiatus. It means the absolute world to me 💜
(Also special shout-out to @dntaewithluv for listening to me ramble off idea about this for a literal year, I love you so much and appreciate you immensely ❤️)

seneschal [sen-uh-shuhl] (noun) an officer having full charge of domestic arrangements, ceremonies, the administration of justice, etc., in the household of a medieval prince or dignitary; steward.
Otherwise known as Jungkook’s consolation prize when he was coerced to step down from the throne.
It had been 2 years since the…incident occurred, but Jungkook could still remember it as if it had just happened.
Which is exactly what he was reflecting on as a vial was being thrust into his vision.
He blinked rapidly a few times before staring up at the person holding the vial out for him, their face a mixture of excitement and mild impatience.
“Well? We don’t have all day. Drink up, Jeon.”
Jungkook glared.
“My apologies, please drink the potion, Mr. Jeon.”
“Jimin, you know how I feel about you and formalities-”
“It just so happens that my manners come out more as my patience grows thin.” Jimin teased. “So,” he tried once more, “drink it.”
Jungkook sighed and shook his head, knowing it was better to leave well enough alone.
“Are you sure this is safe,” Jungkook asked as he stared hesitantly at the vial filled with blue liquid just inches away from his face.
Jimin rolled his eyes before grabbing Jungkook’s hand and closing it around the vial. “Yes, for the billionth time I wouldn’t give you something I thought might harm you.” He took a step back and crossed him arms, waiting patiently for Jungkook to do something.
With a sigh Jungkook carefully brought the vial to his lips, swallowing the liquid without putting too much thought into it. The taste was bitter, but not wholly unpleasant, and a few more moments passed before either of them spoke.
“And the verdict is?” The genuine curiosity in Jimin’s voice was something Jungkook had always found to be endearing.
Jungkook chuckled. Jimin may have still been a wizard in training, but he always had Jungkook’s best interest at heart.
“How am I supposed to know if anything happened? You tell me.”
Jimin blinked before the realization set in. “Oh, right.” He stepped forward once more, peering into Jungkook’s eyes as best he could in the dim lighting of the room.
Jungkook already knew the results before Jimin could confirm them. The way his face dropped said it all.
“They’re still red. I don’t know what I’m doing wrong, I’m following all the rules-”
“Jimin.”
“Maybe the spellbook is outdated, you know? This is the only one I’ve ever seen anyone else use, it must be centuries old at this point-”
“Jimin,” Jungkook stated more firmly this time, clapping his hand on the other’s shoulder to keep him from pacing around more. “It’s fine.”
Jimin groaned. “But it’s not fine, what kind of a supposed ‘wizard’ am I if I can’t even do a simple eye color changing spell.”
“You’re one that’s trying and that’s what matters.”
“Yeah, but,” Jimin broke off, pout prominent on his face. “you shouldn’t have to wear contacts all the time.”
Jungkook offered a gentle smile to his downtrodden friend. “There’s lots of things I shouldn’t have to do, but I do them anyway. It’s only a slight inconvenience, not a big deal.”
Jimin didn’t seem convinced. “I don’t know why you need to wear them in the first place, does it really matter if people see-”
“Yes,” Jungkook cut him off with a tone of finality. “We’ve been over this. It’s best for everyone if they don’t figure it out.”
“So you’re honestly fine with everyone thinking you did something horrible enough to make you step down from the throne? You’re ok with letting people drag your name through the mud constantly?”
Jungkook shrugged. “It’s just better this way.”
Jungkook could swear he heard Jimin growl. “It’s not right and you know it. You’re just too set in your ways about not wanting to bring dishonor on your family. Which, by the way, not sure if you noticed but they aren’t the most honorable people.”
“Don’t.” Another statement with a stern tone. This time, Jimin obeyed.
Jungkook ran a hand through his hair, letting the dark curls fall at their own leisure. “I need to get going or I’ll be late.”
If he left now he had just enough time to stop by his room and grab his contacts he’d left behind on his way to see Jimin, as per Jimin’s request.
“I’ve got it all figured out, so you won’t even need them this time!” Jimin had promised.
Jungkook had hope that one of these days Jimin would be victorious in all of his spellcasting endeavors, and he’d be there to support him the whole way through.
Right now, however, he had bigger matters to attend to.
On his way back to his chambers he saw Seokjin, who he figured was en route to go check on Jimin, seeing as he was the appointed court wizard and Jimin was his apprentice.
Jungkook nodded at him as they passed by each other, but Seokjin calling out for him had him turning around.
“Yes?”
It was then that Jungkook could see just how tired Seokjin looked. “Lord Jeon requests your presence before your meeting with the king.”
Jungkook raised an eyebrow. “Did he now? He bother to tell you what it was about?”
Seokjin shook his head, brows somewhat furrowed. Jungkook sensed that he seemed tense overall, and Jungkook didn’t like it.
“He didn’t. He just said it was important and had to be done as soon as possible.”
With a deep sigh, Jungkook relented, mumbling a thank you to Seokjin as he changed the direction he was walking. His brother’s chambers were located in a completely different wing of the castle, but he still had enough time to stop by his own room afterwards if he played his cards right.
He could hear the noises before he even approached the door, faint enough to go unnoticed by other passerby, but due to his heightened senses he had the unfortunate luck of not being able to remain oblivious. Jungkook knocked on the door despite the urge to just barge in; protocol was a big thing here and it was best for him to keep that in mind.
When he got no answer, he knocked once more before he squared his shoulders and turned the knob to open the door.
Without waiting for a greeting, he walked in, fully prepared for what he might find, seeing as it’d happened before.
Sure enough, the sight he was met with was exactly what he expected.
“Ah, so you finally came,” a snarky voice called out to him, slightly muffled. Jungkook rolled his eyes as he waited for the other party to get situated.
“What do you want, Yoongi?”
The blonde man in the bed not far from Jungkook smiled as the sheets fell around his waist. The woman next to him had even less shame, not bothering to cover her naked torso.
It wasn’t like Jungkook had never seen it before, anyway-
“Now is that anyway to address your superior?”
Jungkook gritted his teeth. “It is when my ‘superior’ is my younger brother.”
Yoongi tutted disapprovingly. “If you recall, you’re still only 24 years old-”
“Yoongi.”
“Which makes me the older brother now since I just turned 25.” he flashed a grin and the woman beside him snuggled up to his arm, still not completely covering her breasts. Jungkook looked away.
“So,” Yoongi continued, “you care to try that again?”
“I don’t, thanks. What do you want?”
Yoongi huffed, clearly unamused. “What I want is for you to tell our father what my requests are for the event we’re holding.”
This intrigued Jungkook enough to turn his sights back to his brother. “You’re not attending?”
“Unfortunately, no,” Yoongi feigned remorse. “I have more important matters to attend to.”
Jungkook watched in disgust as Yoongi grabbed a hold of the woman’s chin to turn her face so that he could kiss her. He closed his eyes and let out a deep breath.
“So you’re not coming then?”
“Oh he’s not, but he will be,” the woman ran her hand up Yoongi’s arm. Long, teal hair covered her shoulders, reminding Jungkook of when it was first dyed. He’d been there with her after all, so of course he’d remember it.
She giggled at her own joke while Yoongi laughed boisterously, 2 sounds Jungkook wished he’d never have to hear again.
He’d never been that lucky.
“I don’t have time for this,” was his only remark before he turned on his heel to exit the room.
Jungkook ignored Yoongi’s calls for him to come back, instead taking longer than necessary strides to put as much room between him and his brother as possible.
A low growl died in his throat as he pulled on the edge of his chain dangling from his neck. It looked like an ordinary chain necklace to the untrained eye, but it was long enough to where the end of it could fit in Jungkook’s pocket. From his neck, the rest of the chain disappeared beneath his shirt, covering the length of his chest.
It was a safety measure more than anything, something Seokjin and Jimin had helped him come up with following the ‘incident.’
⊱─────✧༺✧༻✧─────⊰
“Silver has been known to cause excruciating pain to vampires,” Seokjin had explained, “but this is a special chain, charmed with a spell that dulls that effect.”
“It doesn’t get rid of it completely?” Jimin’s confusion was evident alongside his concern for his friend.
Seokjin shook his head. “It won’t, only because that was Jungkook’s request.”
Jimin’s worried stare shifted to Jungkook, who was sitting on one of the tables in Seokjin’s chambers. His shirt was shredded, and his chest was stained scarlet: souvenirs of his most recent outing.
He went out to feed, traveling several towns over, and ended up failing miserably. Jungkook maybe got a few seconds of satisfaction before he was being ripped away from his willing victim and promptly beaten by 3 other men.
He absolutely could’ve taken them, but he was already ashamed of what he was doing in the first place. He figured that this was punishment that he had coming in one way or another.
That night when he stumbled into Seokjin’s room, bloodied and defeated, they put together a plan straight away.
Jimin asked to sit in and observe, since he was still unfamiliar with certain spells, but he missed that part of the conversation when he was fetching supplies.
“I don’t understand, why do you want the chain to still be able to cause pain?”
Jungkook sighed, wrapping part of it around his fist and noticing instantly the slight burn the metal singed his skin with. “Because the pain will hopefully be enough to stop me.”
“Stop you from doing what?”
Jungkook slowly raised his eyes to look at Jimin, a small, sorrowful smile stretched across his face.
“Something I regret.”
⊱─────✧༺✧༻✧─────⊰
The familiar sting of the chain branded the inside of his palm with invisible marks, and he kept it curled inside his hand until he was in front of his own chamber doors. He was really pushing time now, close to being late for his advisory meeting, but he’d risk a slight delay in the start of the meeting versus having to explain why his eyes were crimson colored.
Once he had his contacts fixed, he all but jogged to the large meeting room down the hall. A few guards and his father were already there, waiting on him as it seemed he was the last to show up.
“You’re late,” the king greeted, a hint of disappointment in his tone.
Jungkook was used to that by now.
“Sorry, Your Majesty, I had to run a few errands first. Shall we start?”
The king cleared his throat and nodded, holding out his hand to the guard nearest him. A scroll was placed into his large palm before he quickly unraveled it.
Jungkook watched his eyes flit across the parchment, and when he deemed it satisfactory, the king handed it back to the guard so he could pass it down to Jungkook.
“You’ll find the agenda there for tomorrow’s event. I’m entrusting you, as usual, with all the planning so you can make sure everything is taken care of.”
Jungkook hummed as he read through everything. It all looked to be in order: designated time for the other guests to arrive, instructions for what catering needed to be prepared, an outline of what was required for Yoongi’s meeting with the princess-
Jungkook read that line again. And another time. He ground his teeth together as he looked back up at the king whose eyebrow was raised as he waited.
“Well? Is something the matter? You look perturbed.”
“Father-”
“This is an official meeting, boy. No informal titles allowed.”
Jungkook’s jaw was clenched. “Your Majesty,” he tried again, “what is this last portion here about a meeting with a princess?”
“Ah yes, that.” The nonchalant answer made Jungkook’s anger rise even further. “The meeting between their princess and our prince is what will be the defining moment for the entire event.”
Jungkook had known there was some sort of event happening that was supposed to – hopefully – demolish the rivalry between the two neighboring kingdoms. There had been bad blood for far too long, and it sometimes made it difficult to retrieve supplies from other areas without conflict arising.
Jungkook had been tasked with planning everything for the guests arrival, as his job required him to do. Despite being kicked from the royal lineage, he was allowed to stay a part of the royal court and act as a steward of sorts. It wasn’t always the best, but he figured it beat being exiled from the kingdom entirely.
He worked tirelessly over the last several months to ensure that all boxes were checked for this gathering. But this new information blindsided him, and now it suddenly made sense why his father and Yoongi both seemed so cocky and sure that this would work.
“And no one thought it pertinent enough to tell me that this would be happening?”
Of all things he could’ve done in that moment, the king had the audacity to shrug. “You won’t be present for that bit of it, so we didn’t feel it was necessary to tell you.”
“Then why isn’t Yoongi here for this instead of me,” Jungkook tried to keep his tone respectful, but even he couldn’t stop some of the malice from slipping through.
“The prince” the king put heavy emphasis on the title, “is busy carrying out other affairs, so it didn’t seem important to bother him with this.”
“Yeah, affair is certainly one way to put it,” he mumbled, crossing his arms as he looked to the side.
“I beg your pardon?”
Jungkook exhaled through his nose. “Nothing, Your Majesty.”
The king stared at Jungkook for a few more moments before he dismissed the other guards in the room.
“Gentleman, if you’d kindly take your leave for a moment – I need to have a discussion with my son. Two of you may remain posted at the door in case you’re needed.”
The guards obeyed quickly, bowing as they exited.
Jungkook scoffed. “So now I’m your ‘son?’ I’m surprised that word still exists in your vocabulary where I’m concerned.”
“Jungkook, be quiet!” The king raised his voice as a warning and slammed his fist against the table, stopping Jungkook’s jabs in their tracks.
“Regardless of your faults and any heinous acts you may have committed, you are still my son. Whether I like it or not.”
Jungkook hated how those words caused a dull ache in his chest.
“And because you are my son, that is why you are still allowed to be here in the first place. Do you ever think about how easy it would’ve been to toss you on the street like some mere commoner,” the king spat, his own outward frustration mirroring what Jungkook felt on the inside.
“You only tell me every chance you get, how could I not?”
“Watch your tone with me, boy. I am not above throwing you in the dungeon for insubordination.”
Jungkook was well aware. At this rate, he had his own personal cell with how often his father (and more so his brother) felt the need to send him there.
“Can we go back to what this ‘meeting’ is supposed to entail? Why is their princess involved?”
The king squared his shoulders and smiled. “They’ve offered a marriage proposal.”
Jungkook’s eyes widened. “I’m sorry, a what?”
“Exactly what it sounds like. The king’s eldest daughter, Princess Mina, is being offered as a marriage candidate for Prince Yoongi.”
“And Yoongi agreed to this?”
The king frowned at Jungkook’s continued lack of formality before he nodded. “He’s been preparing for it for a while now.”
Jungkook clenched his fist under the table.
“Fucking unbelievable,” Jungkook muttered, a few seconds from leaving the meeting altogether in order to give the prince a piece of his mind.
“Language,” the king reminded him sternly.
“Look, fa- Your Majesty. With all due respect to you, I think this is a terrible idea.”
“Please do enlighten me as to why you feel that way.”
Jungkook sighed as he rubbed his temples. “Arranged marriages amongst royals never seem to work out well from what I’ve seen. Arranged marriages amongst anyone just seems like a poor idea.”
“Your mother and I married as part of an arrangement, and we turned out fine.”
Jungkook would beg to differ, but that was an entirely different conversation for some other time.
“I just think it’s odd that he would accept this proposal when he’s already involved with someone else.”
Finally, it was the king’s turn to look taken aback. “Whatever do you mean?”
‘He doesn’t know,’ Jungkook realized.
“Don’t worry about it, I just assumed he already had someone in mind is all.”
“Unlike you, the prince seems to be able to keep his mind off of finding love amongst the common rabble outside the castle walls.”
Jungkook winced.
“Additionally, if he did already have someone in mind, I’m sure I would’ve heard about it by now.”
“You know better than I would,” Jungkook lied. He knew that Yoongi kept many, many secrets from their parents, which is why he’d always been the favorite. They never got a glimpse of his true nature, but unfortunately for Jungkook, he got to see all of it.
“Indeed,” the king said with finality, marking the end of that conversation. “Now, back to the preparations for the event-”
“I’ll handle it,” Jungkook sounded much more deflated than when he entered the room. Animosity exhausted him.
“Good. I expect nothing less of you. I don’t expect much from you to start with, but I at least anticipate you will do your job.”
Another mindless insult. Jungkook stopped keeping count of how many times his father shamed him years ago after the scandal first broke.
If anyone asked him, he’d even go so far as to say his father’s love for him died the same day his human life ended.
“Now if you’ll excuse me, the queen and I have other matters to attend to before tomorrow.” The king got up from the table and walked off, not even bothering to see if Jungkook would also make way to leave. Before he exited through the door, he turned back one last time to look at Jungkook.
“Don’t make me regret letting you stay here. This is the most important thing the kingdom has faced since you were a child, and if you mess it up somehow, being exiled will be the least of your worries.”
Jungkook received the threat with a solemn stare, no more words spoken as he was then left alone in the large room.
On the way back to his chambers, Jungkook had a lapse in judgment. He turned and let his feet carry him to his new destination, landing three hard knocks on the door before it opened quickly.
“What?” An annoyed tone filtered through the open doorway. “Oh – it’s just you.”
Yoongi’s hair was less disheveled than it had been earlier, but it was clear he was now trying to get himself ready for later activities in the day.
“What do you want?” Yoongi crossed his arms as he leaned against the doorframe, not allowing Jungkook any space to enter the room.
Not that he really wanted to, anyway. He just needed to know one thing.
“Does she know?”
Yoongi blinked in confusion. “Does who know about what? You gotta be more specific, I can’t read your mind-”
“Does she know,” Jungkook interrupted, more sternly this time. “What’s happening tomorrow. Does she know?”
He had to ask. As much as he loathed her now, he still thought she deserved better than to be cheated on and discarded like she was nothing.
Even if that’s exactly what she’d done to him.
Jungkook watched as Yoongi’s eyes sparked with amusement when he finally understood. “Aeris? Yeah, she knows. She actually just left by the way; sorry you didn’t get to see her again.”
Jungkook’s eyebrows furrowed.
“So she knows and she’s fine with it?”
“Yeah, I mean – she gets it a ‘thing’ I have to do. It’s completely transactional and I’m only doing it for the betterment of the kingdom.”
Yoongi was lying through his teeth and Jungkook wanted to wipe his smug grin off his face. His entire life Yoongi had been selfish and only looked out for himself, so this idea that he was doing it to help the people living in the kingdom?
Absolutely preposterous.
Jungkook needed a fucking break. He needed to get away, clear his head before he had to come back and deal with everything else tomorrow.
He walked off without another word, something he knew Yoongi hated – which is most of the reason why he’d done it.
“You know,” Yoongi shouted after him, “I think bitterness suits you. It’s a good look since it matches the rest of your miserable demeanor!”
Jungkook ignored him and continued walking, not stopping until he reached his favorite spot in the entire castle.
He would often come up to the highest balcony, somewhere he could be alone with his thoughts and not have the added stress of other’s opinions for a short while.
The balcony was all but abandoned as he was the only one to frequent it. The only crime he’d ever say he committed was stealing the key to the door that granted access up here. After a while, everyone else forgot about it, so he was able to keep this spot hidden. A place of his own, where he didn’t have to worry about being found.
A place of his own where his thoughts could run wild. A place of his own where his demons continued to follow him despite his best efforts.
A place of his own where he could just be alone.
After all, that’s what was best for everyone, right?
Jungkook couldn’t help but wonder, as he’d done many times before, what his life would be like now if he hadn’t been attacked. His entire life – as a prince, as an official royal family member, as a living, breathing human – was cut short in the blink of an eye. His humanity as he knew it was gone in an instant.
If it hadn’t happened, though, where would he be now? Would it be him getting ready to marry someone for political gain instead of his brother?
He shook his head as he let out a humorless chuckle. He knew he’d fight that decision with everything he had, and for he first time since it had been stripped away from him, he was relieved he wasn’t in that kind of position anymore.
The thought of sharing his life with someone he didn’t truly care about, whether it was for the greater good or not, just didn’t seem right, nor did it seem fair. Not to mention the fact that it didn’t just include him: someone’s else’s life would be affected just as much as his.
It dawned on him then that he was standing here, genuinely putting thought into how he would handle such a situation. He wasn’t some cold, heartless being. He still had the ability to care for others, and that alone gave him some sort of hope.
He looked up at the moon, admiring how the light spilled through the branches of the tree overhead.
“Maybe I still have some humanity left after all.”
Tumblr media
lady-in-waiting (noun) a woman of noble birth who serves a female monarch as a member of the royal household.
“Please hold still, Your Highness,” you huffed with thinly veiled frustration as you tried to lace up the corset you were currently working on.
You made a mental note to go shopping later in order to find better dresses for the princess. They still would be ones that were just as extravagant, but hopefully didn’t give you a blood pressure spike to assist with.
“Oh please, what’s with the formal treatment? It’s just us right now, you don’t have to do that, you know.”
“Yes, but,” you tugged once more, finally letting out a sigh of relief when the strings worked how you wanted them to. “With the event happening soon, it’s better for me to get back into the habit.”
Being best friends with the princess granted you some privileges that you were grateful for. When it was just the two of you, you didn’t have to uphold this extra formal, fancy attitude and instead you both got to be much more laid-back. You knew she appreciated it just as much as - if not more than - you, since she was held to a higher standard and scrutinized more heavily.
However, by the kingdom’s definition, you were first and foremost her lady-in-waiting, which ranked above any and all other duties you had in the royal court. Which, unfortunately, meant that at certain times your role took precedence over your friendship, and that was just the way it had to be.
“Ugh, I can’t wait for all this stupid royal relations stuff to be over.”
“Mina-”
She held up a hand. “Let me get it out, then you can scold.”
You waited patiently, fixing the other parts of the dress while she rambled on for the umpteenth time about her dislike for the event happening soon.
“…I mean this is a rival kingdom, we don’t even like them, so why bother. You know?”
“Mhm,” you hummed as you agreed honestly. It did seem like a stretch for your kingdom to try and force relations with one who had been a long-standing rival. The way you saw it, if after all these years and prior failed attempts had yet to work, what made the king think this would be any different?
Of course, there was now the added factor of a new bargaining chip: the king and queen were offering one of their daughters as a potential marriage candidate for the other kingdom’s prince.
Mina, being the oldest princess in line, begrudgingly accepted for the sake of the kingdom.
The plan had been set in motion months prior, but it was all finally happening tomorrow – both you and Mina were on edge, anticipating the worst but hoping for the best.
What was supposed to happen seemed simple enough: the king would accompany the princess on her visit to the other kingdom, escorted heavily by guards and with you at her side, as you always were. She would meet the prince officially for the first time, and both kings would try to strike up some sort of arrangement.
You figured this would actually be more beneficial for them, seeing as their kingdom was still recovering from a huge scandal that happened a few years ago. You remembered it vividly, taking note of how the abruptness of it all never sat right with you.
The eldest prince stepped down from his position as next in line for the throne, following some sort of act that was only described as ‘utterly disgraceful’ and never really elaborated on in the public news.
Before the news broke, the kingdom was well known for its power and influence all over the land, and the downfall from it all landed a huge blow to their standing. It aided your own kingdom in rising above them in their rivalry, but it appeared that now your own monarchs wanted to put everything behind them and unite for…whatever reason.
You tried not to get too deeply involved in the politics. Your duty was to serve Mina, and the royal family as a whole – this didn’t leave you much room to voice your own opinions.
Mina’s soft calling of your name pulled you out of your thoughts.
“Yes?”
Any frustration you had left from the dress fiasco quickly evaporated when you saw her face. She was biting her lip, and in that moment she looked very meek, small. Very unlike the exuberant, confident young woman you knew.
“I’m scared.”
You sighed at that, pulling her into a hug that she gratefully accepted. This was this first time she had outright said it, but you could tell she was terrified from the moment she was first told about this arrangement months ago.
“I know,” you patted her back. You wanted to tell her everything would be alright, that it would all work out, but you couldn’t bring yourself to do it.
Lying to someone to provide them comfort was never something you could get behind, and you didn’t plan to start now.
“I promise you, though, that whatever happens, we’ll get through it together.” You didn’t feel bad saying that because it was the truth; you were ready to face anything when it came to Mina, and you’d do anything for her.
She was basically the most important person in your life, and you’d be damned if you let anything bad happen to her.
Well…anything short of letting her go through with a marriage to a man she’d never met.
Just as your duty to her came first, her duty to her kingdom came first. You knew it and respected it, even if you didn’t always like it.
Mina giggled, her frame shaking slightly in your hold. “It almost sounds like you’re the one I’m supposed to be marrying,” she teased.
You joined in her laughter. “I mean, I don’t think it would yield quite the same results-”
“We both know we’d be arrested before we could even say ‘I do.’” Mina joked, despite her dark attempt at humor having a level of truth to it.
“A princess marrying her lady-in-waiting?” You covered your heart and pretended to be appalled. “Imagine the scandal!”
Mina shoved you lightheartedly, her laughter echoing off the walls. She looked miles happier than she’d been a few minutes prior, and you were relieved to see it.
“C’mon, help me with my hair or we’re gonna be late.” Mina collected her hairbow from her dresser and handed it to you so you could tie up her hair in the back. When you were done, she glanced quickly in the mirror and nodded, pleased with the result.
“Is there anything else you need to do?”
You gave yourself a once-over in the mirror as well and decided that your outfit would have to do. It wasn’t bad by any means, but if you had a little more time, you probably could’ve spruced it up some more.
“All good here. After you, my Lady.” You made a grand gesture out of letting her go first, which earned you another light shove.
“Cut that out! We still have a few minutes of freedom left before we have to be formal.”
You chuckled. “You got it.”
✧───────⊱✧⊰───────✧
You accompanied Mina to her final etiquette training before the big day. Everything she learned was more of a refresher than new material, but her nervousness kept her from doing her best, which led to her being reprimanded by the queen.
“How can you expect to marry someone if you can’t play the part of a prim and proper princess?”
Mina bit her tongue, as she usually did with her mother, and you expected to get an earful from her later about the situation. To your surprise, instead of venting, she was quiet and calm upon returning to her chambers.
Before she was ready to sleep for the night, you checked in one her one last time. “Are you sure you’re ready for this?”
With a smile that didn’t quite reach her eyes, she responded. “As ready as I’ll ever be.”
✧───────⊱✧⊰───────✧
You had never woken up more stressed out in your entire life.
All your training had culminated in this moment. You were to make sure that the princess arrived safely along with her appointed guards, and it was also up to you to make sure that everything went off without a hitch.
Such a small responsibility, right? What could possibly go wrong?
Well, for starters-
The castle you found yourself in was much larger than you anticipated, which was saying a lot considering the castle you lived in was already rather large.
Also, you weren’t the best with directions, but as long as you and Mina didn’t get separated, that shouldn’t be a problem.
And it wasn’t a problem…until it came time for her to meet the prince.
“We’re sorry, miss, but only high-ranking royal officials can be present for this meeting.” A guard held out his arm, blocking you from following Mina into the room. She frowned and tried to protest on your behalf, but her father wasn’t having any of it.
“She’ll be fine, we need to get a move on.” He grabbed a hold of her elbow and ushered her along, and you got one last look at her worried countenance before the doors closed.
Now was when the panic set in.
“I-I need water. Or just- something.” You said it aloud but didn’t really know if anyone would hear you or help you for that matter.
Thankfully, the guard who had just cut you off was kind enough to give you directions to the kitchen and dining area. You’d been there not too long ago when everyone was eating the meal that had been prepared, so surely – you thought – it wouldn’t be an issue to stop by and get a drink to calm your nerves.
That plan worked for all of about ten minutes before you re-entered the hallway from the dining room only to find nobody was around. No guards, no passerby, nothing.
It didn’t help that, from what you had seen, most hallways looked nearly identical.
You were officially lost. Alone, panicking, and lost in a castle you’d never been to before with no one in sight to help. Unsure of what else to do, since walking around aimlessly definitely did not seem like a good idea, you did what any normal person would do.
You sat down on the floor and wrapped your arms around your legs, resting your head on top of your knees.
This had to be your worst nightmare. You were separated from Mina, the one person other than yourself who you were responsible for taking care of, and you were also stuck in unfamiliar territory which was one of your biggest fears.
None of your training ever prepared you for this-
“Are you alright, miss?”
A soft voice filtered through your thoughts, making your head snap up. Your breath got caught in your throat.
There was a man kneeling down in front of you, his hand extended as he offered you a gentle smile.
Suddenly, your situation didn’t seem like such a nightmare anymore.

Operation "Kiss the Girl" | Prologue: The Incident
Summary: Due to an unfortunate accident in alchemy class caused by Ace and Deuce, you end up getting turned into a mermaid. You only have three days to get your true love to kiss you or else you’ll stay a mermaid forever. Though that will prove quite difficult considering Azul has absolutely no idea you’re head over heels for him, but there's no need to worry. Jade and Floyd are willing to help, especially because they know Azul likes you, too. Let operation Kiss the Girl commence!
Genre: Fem!Reader. Lots of pining.
Notes: Inspiration for the beginning of this story comes from this fic. This part uses the same characters and a similar plotline, but the other parts will follow the storyline of The Little Mermaid film. I hope you all enjoy! Part 2 is (hopefully) coming soon 💜

Just when you thought that your adventures in Twisted Wonderland couldn't get any more bizarre, Ace and Deuce were there to make sure you never experienced a single day of normalcy. Their antics didn't usually bother you, but this time proved different. In your anger, you found yourself tempted to grab them both with your shiny new tail and squeeze the life out of them.
Yes, tail. As in, a mermaid's tail.
"I told you to stop grabbing the other potions and follow the instructions!"
"I was following the instructions! You were the one who insisted on summoning another cauldron for yourself because you don't trust me enough to do a project with you!"
"Last time we were in this class, you tried putting sugar cubes into the potion mix!"
"Yeah, because you decided to substitute grass for flowers because you smushed them in your bag on the way here. I wasn't about to eat dirty grass!"
"Quiet down, you troublesome puppies!" Crewel ordered with the snap of a whip. "Quit your yapping and help your friend that's like a fish out of water...literally."
Ace and Deuce quickly turned their attention to you, panic beginning to flood their faces.
"Prefect..." Deuce whispered, a hand hovering above the scales on your arm. "I'm so sorry we did this to you. We didn't mean to, but we're sorry!"
"We screwed up big time," Ace sighed, taking a seat behind you and holding your shoulders to steady you. "We shouldn't have let our frustrations get the better of us. But don't worry. We'll fix it! There's got to be a potion we can whip up to turn you back human again!"
"There is no such thing," Crewel interjected, sending ice cold glares the duo's way.
"Are you serious?" Ace groaned. "There's no way this kind of thing hasn't happened before!"
"There have been plenty of humans that have turned themselves into mermaids, and mermaids that have turned themselves into humans, but none of them have ever wanted to reverse the process. In other words, once the transformation has been completed, it cannot be undone."
"Of course. Why would anyone want to go back to being human?" Deuce sighed. "Mermaids are beautiful and powerful. No one in their right mind would want to change back."
"Well, except our Prefect here. Unless you want to stay a mermaid? It's up to you."
Ace immediately zipped his lips when you shot him a terrifyingly angry look. "No, I do not want to stay a mermaid. I'm trying to get back to my world after all. You know, the one filled with humans."
"Professor, there has to be a way to undo it!" Deuce cried. "We can't let [Name] suffer the consequences of our mistake."
"Yeah, there's gotta be something we can do!"
"Well..."
"Well?!"
"It seems that True Love's Kiss is your only viable antidote."
Ace and Deuce turned to look at each other in what could only be described as a mixture of disbelief and confusion.
"True Love's Kiss?" Ace shook his head. "Why would that work?"
"Because it worked for the Little Mermaid." Crewel grabbed a bottle of water from his desk and motioned for you to pour some on your skin as he continued his explanation. "After taking a potion to turn herself human, she had three days to get the prince to kiss her. Otherwise, she would return to being a mermaid. When she received her True Love's Kiss, the Little Mermaid became a human forever. That is how the story goes, and so True Love's Kiss is the only way to stop the Prefect's complete transformation."
"Will it really work...?"
"It will. True Love's Kiss can break many spells, and it can fulfill the wishes of the heart. If the Prefect desires to stay a human, all she needs is for her true love to kiss her. However, the Little Mermaid only had three days to woo her prince. It's likely that the Prefect also has only three days before her condition becomes permanent."
"Three days?!" Ace and Deuce exclaimed, holding their heads in frustration. "How are we going to find her a true love that will kiss her in three days?!"
"You two are rather bone-headed puppies, aren't you?" Crewel sighed, smacking their heads with the potion brewing instructions. "What makes you think you need to find her true love?"
"Because she doesn't have one! She would have told us otherwise."
"Is that so? The look on her face tells an entirely different story."
Your face burned as you felt Ace and Deuce's eyes on you, the wheels slowly starting to turn in their heads. You couldn't bring yourself to meet their gazes. Instead, you readied yourself for the onslaught of questions that were bound to tumble from their mouths.
And, of course, that's exactly what happened.
"You have a crush on someone???!!!"
"When did this start? How did it start? Who do you have feelings for?!"
"Enough," Crewel hissed, directing his attention to you once again. "You can ask your questions after you find some water for the Prefect. I'll cover you with temporary invisibility magic so you can get somewhere undetected. We don't need the entire college knowing about the precarious situation you've gotten your friend into."
"Yes sir!" the duo said in unison.
With a wave of his wand, Crewel surrounded you with a curtain of invisibility. Ace and Deuce wasted no time in gathering you into their arms, heading straight for Ramshackle dorm. The questions could come later--and indeed, they would bombard you with them. For now, their goal was to get you to some water before you became a shriveled up mermaid.
Ace, Deuce, you thought to yourself, I'm going to make you both pay when this is over with.

Undying Love 💍 (Part 4 - Escape)
A/N: Once again, I am insanely sorry this took so long to post. I'm starting to think I'm not cut out for long fics with how distracted I get and how much I end up delaying them. Anyways thanks for sticking around, there is one more part to this that I am writing as we speak (and it'll be smutty) and that I swear will be posted tomorrow!
Undying Love - Part 4: Escape - Ominis Gaunt x Female MC
Summary: The trio enact their grand finale, but there's still tension present from past events. 2.4k words
Warnings: no smut in this one, but parts 1 & 3 do contain smut. This one is mostly angst.
Tagging list!: @myrachondria, @lesbolordo, @froggyinaspen, @lora-erwood enjoy! 💕
Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 5!!
-----------------------------------
It had been twelve hours.
Twelve hours since Ominis was pronounced “dead”. Twelve hours since MC and Sebastian had to play the grieving friends, MC doing an exceptionally good job at it, her tears completely real, the stress of the night bringing those tears out of her. As if she hadn’t cried enough tonight. Her mind was cluttered with fear. Her brain screamed at her, “What if it doesn’t work?” repeating over and over in her head. Sebastian tried to comfort her, which worked in their favor, as he just looked like a good boyfriend to Ominis’s family.
Twelve hours had passed, and his funeral was already underway. MC wasn’t surprised that his family didn’t seem too upset by his “passing”, they never truly cared for him. It angered MC how little they cared when he meant the world to her. Her heart ached for him and for all the pain he had been through, some of the pain having been caused by her own actions, her tears starting up once again. Sebastian wrapped his arm around MC, rubbing her back and comforting her as Ominis’s coffin was placed in the family mausoleum. Sebastian had conjured up some holes in the coffin to allow airflow, which went unnoticed by his family, even Marvolo, who up until 12 hours ago seemed to always be suspicious of the three of them. He remained silent and unreadable. He didn’t seem as apathetic as his family, but he didn’t seem distraught either.
Once everything was said and done, Sebastian announced that he was going to take MC upstairs so she could have a minute to cool down, having been so distraught by the whole ordeal. Once they were alone with the door shut and a silencing charm in place, Sebastian immediately jumped into action.
“Alright, so, it was around  eleven o’clock when Ominis took that potion, it’s almost noon now, so we’ve got less than…” Sebastian whipped out his pocket watch,  “twelve hours to do this. We’ll pack our things, let them know that we’re leaving, wait until dark and once the coast is clear we’ll get Ominis out and leave. As long as we’re out well before he’s supposed to wake up, this plan should be fool proof!”
MC wiped her nose on the sleeve of her jumper, one of Ominis’s jumpers that she had claimed for herself, and sniffled. Her voice was small and nervous. “Alright, I’m just so nervous. Is he alright in there? What if he doesn’t wake up? What if we get caught?” Her mind was spinning. She felt like she might pass out.
Sebastian brought his hands to MC’s shoulders, his hold on her felt comforting. “MC…I know things have been weird between us. We haven’t gotten to speak much since the library incident. I’d be an idiot to deny that I still love you. I always will. But your friendship and Ominis’s friendship mean everything to me. You two have stuck by me through my worst days, even when I didn’t deserve it. And right now I’ll do anything to get you both out of here safely. You have my word.” Sebastian picked up MC’s hand and kissed it.
-------------------
It was a few minutes after noon when Sebastian and MC emerged from Ominis’s room, their belongings packed and ready to go - with a little less than eleven hours to spare. They attempted to sneak out the door unnoticed, but were stopped by Marvolo, his streak of not being suspicious having ended.
“Are you leaving?” he asked with a small smirk on his face, not as obnoxious as he normally looked.
“This whole thing has been really rough on me. The last place I want to be is Ominis’s room, or his home for that matter.” MC tried to sound as somber as she could.
“Aw, shame.” Marvolo shot her what was most definitely a fake smile. “Why don’t you at least stay for dinner? Mother and father would be incredibly disappointed if you both left now! Everyone’s been up all night, you two must be so tired. You can leave after dinner.”
“Of course we’ll stay!” Sebastian jumped in with a chipper tone to his voice, no doubt trying to come off as least suspicious as possible.
----------------
A whole six hours had passed by the time dinner was served and eaten. They only had five hours left, which may have seemed like a lot, but MC grew more and more nervous as the hours passed. Eager to leave, but trying not to seem too eager, Sebastian spoke up, trying to remain casual.
“Well, I believe we ought to be leaving. It’s been a rough day for all of us. I imagine some alone time would do us all well.”
Mrs. Gaunt’s voice was soft when she spoke, almost as if she felt a little sadness. “Oh, you two are welcome to stay an extra night. It is late. We’re all grieving. It might do you both good to rest here for the night.”
MC couldn’t take it anymore. She had gotten no sleep during the night, the last time she had truly eaten was 24 hours ago, as she had barely eaten her dinner tonight, and the stress of the day left her feeling light headed. She stood up from the table far too suddenly with the intention of protesting and insisting that it would be in their best interest to head home. But as she stood, the room began to violently spin. She blinked, momentarily seeing black before she opened her eyes, finding herself face to face with the floor before she saw black once again.
-----------------
She woke to find herself in bed, her hand seeking out the warmth of Ominis before her memories flooded back to her. Sebastian rose from the chair he was in as he noticed her stir. “MC! Holy shit you gave me a scare back there. You fainted as soon as you stood up.” Panic began to spread through her whole body. “What time is it?! How long was I out?!” She shouted at Sebastian before throwing her hand over her mouth, realizing she was far louder than she should have been.
Sebastian sighed. “It’s after 9 o’clock. You were out for three hours, so we’re down to less than two hours now.” MC practically jumped from the bed. “We need to go. Now!”
“We’ll have to sneak our way out. The Gaunts insisted we stay another night after you fainted. It seems like the Gaunts are asleep, but we may have Marvolo to worry about. I already took our stuff outside, and I have a note ready saying that we left once you woke up. So we just need to get out of here.” Sebastian seemed determined, and it warmed your heart to hear how willing he was to help you pull this off, even if his feelings were conflicted. The two of you cast disillusionment charms on yourselves, and quietly crept out the door.
-------------------
Sebastian’s assumption was correct, as they found Marvolo up, sitting in the library reading. With how observant he had been thus far with the duo, they exchanged panicked looks, pausing for a second to think through their options. The door was open, and they needed to pass the room. Marvolo was facing perpendicular to the entryway, but facing them where he would most likely see them if they ran past.
MC thought back to a time Sebastian and her shared together, before things got complicated between them. It was their time sneaking into the restricted section of the library. They were in a similar scenario, trying to get past the prefects, also covered by disillusionment charms. MC’s heart fluttered for a moment, remembering how Sebastian protected her when he got caught, refusing to give her up. It was the exact moment she fell in love with him. She pushed that specific thought out of her mind, instead remembering how they got past the prefects anyway. MC hesitantly lifted her shaky arm, terrified that Marvolo would sense the action. She aimed her wand at a glass vase behind him on a bookshelf and cast a nonverbal spell at it, causing it to shatter behind him. Marvolo looked up in their direction for half a second before turning around to figure out what just happened, MC grabbing Sebastian’s hand and running past the entryway and into the foyer, where they took a second to hide behind a wall, making sure Marvolo wasn’t following them. The front door being feet away from them. They were almost in the clear. Almost.
They heard Marvolo exit the room and heard his footsteps creeping towards the foyer. Sebastian, inspired by MC’s actions, peaked out from behind the wall and shot his own spell into the kitchen off to the right of the foyer area. Marvolo headed that way. They dashed forward and made it to the door, but their footsteps were a little loud, Marvolo immediately coming back into the foyer. The pair were grateful it was dark in the foyer, meaning they weren’t caught right away, but they were certainly about to be caught, Marvolo looking around with his wand drawn. Both MC and Sebastian had their wands drawn as well, neither of them having an actual plan as to what they were going to do now. Marvolo looked in their direction, as if sensing them, and began to slowly approach them, his typical smirk on his face. He raised his wand, ready to shoot who knows what in their direction, but MC acted quicker, shouting the first spell that came to mind to help them in this situation.
“Imperio!”
Sebastian removed the disillusionment charm from himself, a look of shock on MC’s face. MC’s charm had come off as well. Guilt painted on her face. MC let out a sigh. “You didn’t see or hear anything. Go back to your reading.” Marvolo obeyed immediately, a green glow in his eyes, walking away from them. They walked out the front door unbothered, but not before Sebastian left his note on the kitchen table explaining to the Gaunts that they had gone home.
The duo ran as soon as they made it outside towards the small family cemetery. Once they crossed the threshold into it, MC collapsed onto the soft ground and began to cry. On her wedding day, one of the many promises she had made to Ominis was that she would never cast an unforgivable curse ever again, knowing the pain those curses caused Ominis. Not only had she broken her promise and cast one, but it was on a family member no less. They were awful people, but that didn’t stop her from feeling guilty. The whole time they had been here all she had done was broken promises she made to him. She felt awful, like she didn’t deserve to be Ominis’s wife. Sebastian wrapped his arms around her, letting her cry into his shoulder.
“MC, we should go. There’s not much time left. We need to get Ominis out of here before he wakes up and before anyone gets suspicious.”
Wiping her tears, they made their way into the mausoleum, quickly opening up the crypt with some spellwork. There he was, her husband, still fast asleep, she hoped. MC looked him over, her tears starting up once again. “Is he still okay?” MC asked, her voice small and hoarse. “I think so. Afterall he is supposed to look dead!” Sebastian chuckled trying to lighten the mood, but his attempt was a failure. Sebastian picked Ominis up, throwing him over his shoulder as MC repaired the crypt back to its original state, sealing it in the hopes that it would never be opened by his family. She then peaked outside, listening to ensure the coast was clear. They placed disillusionment charms on themselves once again, and quietly and quickly exited the mausoleum and took off running into the forest before apparating.
They landed in a small wooded area near MC and Ominis’s home, having enchanted the home so one could not apparate onto the property. They collapsed onto the ground, panting, trying to catch their breath. Sebastian placed Ominis’s body softly onto the ground. MC leaning over him, staring at him and running her fingers through his hair. “How much time?” she asked Sebastian, beginning to cry once again. “Should be any minute now.” he said as he watched her.
MC continued to run her fingers through Ominis’s hair, her other hand coming to his face, stroking his cheek. “Darling, please wake up. We did it. We’re safe now. Please?” She sat there for several minutes, fearing the worst. “Ominis, I love you. Please wake up. I need you. You’re my entire world and I can’t live without you. You’re my best friend, my favorite person, the one who makes me forget about every bad thing I’ve ever been through. Marrying you was the greatest thing I ever did. I’m sorry for the hurt I’ve caused you. I’m sorry I kissed Sebastian, I’m sorry I cast an unforgivable curse on Marvolo, I’m sorry for hurting you but I only did it for you. Please…I love you.” MC’s soft cries had turned to sobs at this point as she held his hand and rested her head on his chest. Her tears immediately stopped when she felt the gentle rise and fall of his chest. She sat up. “He’s breathing normally. He’s awake!”
Ominis opened his eyes and sat up. “How unfortunate, I was actually enjoying hearing you tell me how much you loved me!” He smirked, but his smirk immediately switched to a look of anger “Did you say you cast an unforgivable curse on my brother?!”
Sebastian jumped in “She had to, mate, we almost got caught trying to escape that hellhole.”
“Shut it! Don’t think for a second that I’m not still angry with you. Both of you.” Ominis ripped his hand out of MC’s grasp, which made MC gasp. Ominis fished for his wand, holding it out to determine where he was. The tip of the wand pulsed red for several minutes before Ominis got up, wand held out, and began walking his way back towards their home, leaving Sebastian and MC still sitting on the ground.
Their plan worked, but at what cost?

Willingly Within Your Grasp
Vampire! Ayato x Fem! Witch! Reader
Summary: A Witch brought in by fellow practitioner Thoma to help protect the Kamisatos from other Vampires and Vampire hunters who wish to see them fall. Originally met to be around Ayaka ended up with Ayato being the one who keeps her close
It’s the day after an incident outside the home had occurred where neither Ayaka, Thoma nor the reader had been nearby when Ayato had been attacked. The Reader has pulled Ayato aside after picking up that he had been wounded upset at what had occurred.
Words: 2,312
AN: @milkstore you just had to encourage my vampire brain rot lol. Thank you for reading over the fic for me. I appreciate it. You gave such a good idea with it being spooky season. This fic is T-rated. Typical vampire behavior. Mentions of blood and animal death. Implied sexual content at the end. If any of that makes you uncomfortable please check out my other Ayato fic. It's much more wholesome.
2 a.m. The Witching Hour, when everyone that should be asleep is. Where those who are at home are tucked tightly under their covers peacefully dreaming with no worries about the things that go bump in the night. For most households, this was true. Other homes were empty with their inhabitants focused on protecting those who lived in peaceful ignorant bliss. And within the walls of the Kamisato Estate, only those who were permitted with the knowledge knew why the Kamisatos were up moving around.
"Keep it moving boys. That deer was supposed to be here an hour ago. Thoma has been waiting there for a while now.” Y/N told the workers that were moving a live deer that had been tied up into the estate. “I expect next time to be much quicker.”
This was as far as Y/N could enjoy working with the live animal that came into the estate. It was best not to look any in the eyes as they would soon become lifeless and drained of blood with the rest being used for various potion ingredients. Depending on the animal, its meat would be cooked and served to many of the daytime employees who just thought that the Kamisatos preferred any meat to be the freshest to have the highest quality.
The only animals to enter and exit freely with no worry were two familiars, a dog, Thoma’s, and a raven belonging to Y/N. They too were making a return. The dog carried a small basket on their back filled with mosses that were only found on the tops of canopies of the trees in the nearby forest. The raven landed on a rail singing a sweet song that to anyone else would sound like nothing.
Y/N bent down detaching the basket off the harness that Thoma’s dog wore. She peered inside of it with a quick glance before shutting it and bringing the basket underneath her arm. “No need to apologize, this is plenty for what we need.” She spoke to her raven first.
Y/N gave the dog a quick pat on the head. “He’s in the kitchen. Thank you for your help. You’re dismissed.” Off went the dog happy with the praise received, ready for the next task.
“And you. Any other things you saw on the flight over?” Another bird song. “That tree was standing upright just a day ago. And you say there were sword marks and a silver arrowhead close by. Odd. I’ll have it checked by someone for anything else. I’d like you to take a look for anything else suspicious as of late. Be back in an hour. As long as everything goes to schedule I’ll have your favorite snack soon enough.” Y/N sent off the bird before making her way back inside.
The night air was always nice to feel on the skin knowing that nothing out there could bring her any personal harm. One of the things she enjoyed about working with the Kamisatos. Her talents were wanted and not feared like they would have been if she were to work alone. It made the indoor air of the estate more inviting instead of stiff like her old home had been.
Y/N bowed her head seeing who faced her. “Miss Kamisato. How has your night been?” she greeted.
“It’s been lovely. As fun as the summer festivals have been, I've missed the long nights.” She spoke back lively as ever. “And I do distinctly remember asking you to stop calling me Miss Kamisato. That feels weird from you.”
“I’m sorry Ayaka. A force of habit knowing how many vampires prefer to be addressed. Most aren’t as pleasant to be around unlike you.” She spoke truthfully. “I shall be making that cream today for your next daytime appearance. Shall I make you extra? It would be nice to shop around and help to keep up appearances.”
“I would like that. You should come with me. I heard about a dress you were eyeing a week ago. Maybe this shop will have something for my tastes as well.” Excitement over the trip radiated off of her. If it wasn’t for her fangs that showed through her smile you would have no idea she was a vampire.
“That would be fun. Were you heading out for a walk by any chance?”
“I was. Care to join?”
“Please don’t leave the grounds for the night. I was informed of some worrying things in the forest. A tree was downed and had remnants of sword marks. My raven saw a silver arrowhead as well.” Her words were laced with concern, never happy to make reports like this. It always was worrying with the fact no one else but who was up on the night shift was to know for certain if the Kamisatos were vampires or not.
Ayaka frowned. “And the moon looked so lovely tonight.”
“If it makes you feel any better, the deer was just brought in. If you get to the kitchen now Thoma is sure to give you the first glass before anything gets bottled up.”
“I think I’ll do that. Better than any mock version you could come up with. It satisfies thirst but it's not the same.” With that, the two girls made the walk over to the kitchen.
It was good that Ayaka preferred animal blood. Luckily, or unluckily depending on who viewed it, never having human blood before made it to where her tastes were much more reasonable. It kept her innocence as a nice young lady helping to keep the public doubting any claims she was a vampire. To them, she was just normal all be it a normal person with slightly colder hands.
“No fair!” She complained seeing her brother drinking a fresh glass. Clearly the first on his way back from the kitchen.
Ayato laughed. He held up the glass with his left hand. “It’s the second. I had Thoma set aside the first for you already.”
She eyed her brother suspiciously for a second before deciding he was telling the truth. “No work before your glass is finished,” Ayaka told him before leaving to get a glass herself.
“Y/N is there a reason you’re staring? I don’t recall you being so openly enamored by my presence.”
“Take your jacket off.”
He almost choked on his drink. “Blunt now are we? I’m flattered by the speed of what things you’d like to get done but this is a hallway with no privacy.”
She rolled her eyes. "Not for those reasons. Keep it up and we can talk about that silver arrow that must have been shot at-"
"Understood. To my office then."
It was a short walk to his office. He had opened the door letting Y/N in before entering the space himself shutting them in the room. Her basket had already been shoved against the wall of the room. Y/N already had her eyes closed drawing symbols in the air and mumbling out incantations in an old dead language Ayato couldn't recognize. As she worked on her spell, the entrances into the room, door and windows, began glowing a deep purple. On the final word of her spell with eyes glowing entirely that same magical purple around the room, it stopped. It appeared as if nothing happened to anyone else.
"It's been a while since you let your magic consume you that heavily," Ayato commented, placing down his glass on the table.
Her eyes had returned to their normal appearance. "I wouldn’t have to if it weren't for you. The words won't escape this room now unless we wish to speak of it ourselves. The estate's seal has been reset as well to fix any weak points in any barriers. Nothing can happen that I won't be aware of. Including the comings and goings of someone not bringing a guard with them. How you found a weak spot baffles me."
"It seems I should hire a better Witch then." Off came his jacket.
"Too bad I'm the best Witch in Inazuma. Now will you tell me why you left alone or at the very least why you didn't tell anyone you were hurt?"
"I was looking for something and who am I to worry you over nothing."
"It's not nothing. You know that. You know silver could kill you."
"I was only grazed. It's a surface-level injury." With his jacket off and sleeve rolled up revealing his right forearm it was clear to Y/N how slowly the injury was spreading. It was indeed appearing to be surface level to his eyes but not to a trained Witch.
"Sit. There's silver in your arm. You must have been downing so much blood trying to heal from that." Her voice was slowly switching from being one of the few people who could tell Ayato what to do with genuine worry.
"Only slightly more than normal." He was following her directions, beginning to treat the situation as seriously as she was. To an extent.
With Ayato sitting down in his normal spot behind the desk, the only place Y/N could think to work without interrupting her skills was right next to him on the desk. She felt as if she was finding herself there too often nowadays. She held his forearm against her lap keeping a steady eye on the wound.
Her other hand was waving over the wound while she began mumbling through a different set of incantations. Fragments of silver were being pulled through the wound where they had lodged themselves into his skin. He winced finally letting himself fully feel the pain of what he had been going through for the past day.
Y/N brought her hand up with silver Fragments floating in the air circling around her hand. With another minute of incantation, they burst into flames changing form from an object to a plasma to smoke before disappearing altogether.
Her eyes dropped back away from that all-powerful purple once again. The only thing not leaving her eyes was the rage that had taken form as she was casting. “You are a buffoon!”
“And I love you too.”
She was unphased by his common statement of affection and let go of his arm. “If I didn’t figure it out sooner it would have killed you. That arrow had a spell cast upon it as well. It was to crawl through your veins before reaching your heart. I wouldn’t have been able to do anything to help you after that.” Y/N held in any shake of her words able to mask them with having performed powerful magic moments before. She turned grabbing the glass of blood that had been left on the desk half finished, offering it to him.
He took the glass frowning at what had excited him earlier. It wasn’t enough now. “Good that I have the best Witch in Inazuma to care for me.”
“You can’t insult my skills then compliment me the next minute. Just drink. I’ve done what I can. You have to heal on your own now.”
He obeyed downing the rest of the glass not caring for its taste any more. “I didn’t mean to offend. I’ll be sure to let you know if any encounter like that happens again. I’m not trying to worry you.” He placed the glass aside away from the desk.
“And yet you do.” She kept her eyes off the man in front of her looking elsewhere.
Ayato grabbed her hand placing a kiss on the back of her palm bringing her attention back to him. “You know,” another kiss, “I’d heal faster with some blood.” His fangs brushed against her skin. What a tease.
“I gave you blood.” She closed her eyes doing her best from giving in. Ayato, now he was easy to remember he was a vampire. He acted much more like one.
He stood up still holding onto her hand. With his height being taller than her no matter if she sat on the desk. A kiss on the cheek before whispering in her ear. “You know what I’m asking.”
A gasp and a swallowing of her breath. “I’ll have some sent here. I have work to be done.” He was trailing soft kisses down towards her neck.
“It can wait. There’s a more important matter that needs your attention.” The first of many kisses on her neck
And she had gone from Witch caretaker to willing prey for Ayato again. An act she had commented with him countless times before and would continue to do. He had her caged between his arms and the desk once again. She welcomed it leaning into his touch.
His fangs entered her neck drinking up her blood. The taste sweeter than anything he could get from an animal or some other human. Her blood was all he needed. He took a break licking up any drops that tried escaping. “Sometimes I think you enjoy this more than me.”
Emotions were on full display. “I don’t know what makes you think that.” A steady voice was such a lost cause attempting to maintain.
He moved his lips away from her neck admiring the bite marks from his fangs. Waiting out for a response that won’t take too long. He drank too slowly to have her worry about the thought of blood loss. That wasn’t nearly enough for either of them but the stand-off between them was part of the fun.
"Ayato." She spoke softly. The way his name rolled off her tongue was perfect.
"Yes."
"That spell," the one she had cast earlier blocking any sound from escaping the room, “I only have it last one more hour. Whatever we plan on doing, we should hurry up with it.”
He wasted no time before sinking his teeth back into her neck pleased with what was to happen next.

Lupin hc I’m begging!
Okay, so.
I hate Fanon Moony with a passion. So before I even say anything here are some Remus Lupin posts so we're on the same level with his characterization: 1) the best marauder characterization post, 2) canon Remus, 3) CANON Remus p.2
Good? Great.
Loving parents. Was absolutely the apple of both his parents' eyes; they loved him immensely and would have given him the world. The guilt Lyall felt over Greyback's attack was unspeakable and he did everything in his power to make Remus' life as comfortable as possible. Overprotective. Overbearing even, but always for his own good. They tried to protect him and comfort him with all that they had.
There were definitely incidents when Remus was a kid. Not only were his transformations extremely painful when he was a child but they were also hard to manage. Lyall and Hope did try their best but it broke their hearts to see him hurt & it was very difficult for them to deal with young Remus' injuries. They couldn't take him to a Muggle doctor after all and
The stigma towards werewolves in the Wizarding World is huge. There aren't enough stories that deal with what it's like to be one. If you're looking for a good read that integrates (not so) small details of the thousand small obstacles that being a werewolf poses while integrating them in an overarching (marvellous) plot, read Moonlit Marriage by @celestemagnoliathewriter (Remadora).
Constantly worrying about money.
He didn't even grow up poor, that's the thing. He grew up fairly decently (his parents weren't rich by any means but they had enough to stay afloat). However, they had almost no savings and when they died (First Wizarding War period) he was left with nothing. Being a werewolf also meant that he couldn't hold down a job.
So many insecurities. So many. About his appearance, his magical talent, his place in the wizarding world, himself.
Speaking of. Not a Greek god. Not a smooth-talking seven-foot-tall Casanova type. He was shorter than both Sirius and James, thin, covered in scars. Kind face.
Awkward. Might have even had a little stutter as a child.
Kind. Helpful. Grateful. Glad and still a little incredulous, after years, that James (& SIrius) might have picked him to be their friend.
The day James&Co announced they had become Animagi so that they could be with him was the best day of his life. Running with his friends under the moonlight is still the memory that first comes to mind when he's trying to cast a Patronus.
Disliked Sirius and James' mistreatment of Snape to a certain degree, but never enough to say anything, never enough to try and stop them (I doubt they would have, even for him).
Like the other Marauders, he adored James.
Sorry to break it to you, but Sirius and Remus were friends through James. They became extremely close only after Azkaban when they were all the other had left from the happiest time of their lives.
Could not grow a whole beard for the life of him.
The ultimate people-pleaser.
Polite.
The definition of passive-aggressive. (Y'all make him plain aggressive.)
An introvert.
A sub if I ever saw one.
Kind. Did I say kind? Maybe he didn't do enough for the victims of the Marauders' bullying because he definitely didn't have the balls to stand up to James & Sirius (and we clearly see this in SWM), but he would be helpful to any and all younger students who needed him.
Lily's study buddy, especially the last years. Remus was like her: good in school, but not as naturally gifted as Sirius and James. He wouldn't be the type to do well even without studying and he definitely had much better grades in his written tests than in practical classes.
This, combined with the fact that he was a massive bookworm meant he had a Hermione-like encyclopaedic knowledge of various subjects.
Unlike Lily, not the best at Potions (he says so himself in PoA)
Loved Care of Magical Creatures, they were always his area of interest as we see in PoA. Also (unrelated), something I've always asked myself: is there any curriculum at all for Defence Against the Dark Arts at Hogwarts? Every teacher just seems to teach whatever they like/enjoy more or their particular area of interest. I would have really liked to know what Lupin taught sixth and seventh years for example.
Tea over coffee for Remus (he's a bit of a tea snob, and drinks industrial quantities of the thing)
Not a big alcohol drinker - he doesn't like how it makes him lose control, and has never drunk alone without the Marauders in his youth. However, when times were tough after October 1981 he did indulge too much in it.
I can see him smoking a little bit of weed, not even for the feeling itself but because it helps him with some of his chronic pain.
Sweater vests and old comfy jumpers
If the Marauders had a Feminist king TM (WHICH THEY DIDN'T) it would have been him.
The Prank soured his relationship with Sirius exponentially. It was one of the reasons he thought Sirius was the spy. Everyone was paranoid at the time, questioning friends and allies left and right, but after spending seven years sleeping, eating, living alongside meek, shy, snivelling Peter Pettigrew, he could not picture him as a Death Eater.
The truth is that Sirius, for reasons we've already said, would have made Remus into a murderer. He would have killed Snape. One of their classmates, and when Remus was at his lowest too. It was such a huge betrayal of trust that their relationship fundamentally shifted forever.
He did not love his lycanthropy, would not wear it proudly. He was scared of himself in those moments, and extremely full of self-loathing. If they discovered a Cure tomorrow, he would take it without thinking twice.

Can I request the “getting hurt” HCs with Riddle, Leona, Azul, Cater, Floyd, Jade, and Malleus pls ty!
Hi hi, lovely! I've already done Leona and Floyd so I'll do the rest. Just for future reference, I only do 5 characters per headcanon so keep that in mind next time you request!
⚠️TW: mention of injuries⚠️
This has more graphic descriptions than the others but it's still mostly fluff.
...
You Get Hurt
...
🌹 Riddle Rosehearts 🌹
Tumblr media
Babysitting the ADeuce combo all the time naturally comes with repercussions.
So while they were messing around in alchemy, you tried to stop them from messing up the potion and got burned in the process.
You weren't hurt too badly but the skin on your arm began to swell and blister.
Once you went to the nurse and got it bandaged, you felt right as rain.
You knew Riddle would overreact so you chose not to tell him about your unfortunate encounter.
It was quite presumptuous of you to assume that Ace and Deuce could keep their mouths shut for 2 seconds.
As soon as Riddle heard about your injury, he made a mental note to punish his troublesome underclassmen later and rushed to your side.
He won't let you get up from your bed for at least a week.
You can insist that only your arm is affected but he refuses to let you do anything.
He just wants to take care of you. Please. Let him.
He helps you apply your antibiotic ointment and changes your bandages every couple of hours.
He's just really worried about your aptitude for injuring yourself.
You have to hold Riddle back from collaring Ace and Deuce.
...
🐙 Azul Ashengrotto 🐙
Tumblr media
While you were leaving for class, you accidentally slammed the door on your fingers.
It hurt like a bch and the Ramshackle ghosts were privy to the string of swears that followed the incident.
Your hand now sported a red gash across your fingers.
Once you bandaged your fingers and got an ice pack, you went on your way to class because you still couldn't skip class, even with a swollen hand.
Azul immediately noticed the bandaged on your hand and asked you about it.
You dismissed it, not realizing how concerning it was to him.
He doesn't really know what he can do to help with your injury but he tries his best.
His immediate reaction is to solve the problem, so he starts looking into installing self-opening doors.
But of course, the problem arises, what if you get your hand stuck in that too?
You calm his worries by convincing him that all he needs to do it cuddle with you and maybe bring you treats on occasion.
I stand by the headcanon that he is squeamish around blood so he tries to help you change your bandages but you can tell he's really uncomfortable.
You tell him he doesn't have to look at your injury if he doesn't want and his only response is "thank the Seven" as he closes his eyes and leans against the wall.
...
♦️ Cater Diamond ♦️
Tumblr media
(kinda based on falling for you??)
In flying class, your broom got a little out of control and before you knew it, you were plummeting back down to the ground.
Unfortunately, this time, there was no prince charming to catch you so you hit the ground with a sickening crunch.
As you screamed in pain, Cater ran to you and scooped you in his arms.
(I'll spare the gorey details)
When you got to the nurse, she examined you and said you had a hairline fracture in your fibula.
Cater was more nervous than you were, aggressively bouncing his leg and staring at your ankle as if he can make it better with sheer willpower.
You had to get sent away temporarily to get an operation on your ankle and Cater was stressed out the whole time.
He couldn't go with you because he wasn't immediate family but he didn't sleep a wink while you were gone.
When you got back the next day, you had a white cast and crutches.
It took everything in him not to run to you and hug you as hard as he could.
He's doing his best to make things easy for you.
He holds doors and helps you get down the stairs (seriously, it's a magical school, you would think they have elevators).
If the pain ever gets too much, he has ibuprofen on hand.
He just wants to hold you and kiss you and keep you in a little bug box so you can't get hurt anymore.
...
🍄 Jade Leech🍄
Tumblr media
Similar to Floyd's scenario, it was also his fault, thought not in the way you would think.
He coerced you into helping out at the Mostro Lounge, not taking into account the small limp you already had from running around doing errands for Crowley all day.
While you were rushing to get everyone their orders, you tried to ignore the worsening cramp in your calf.
By the time you were up to your ears in orders, you felt a pop in your calf and your leg gave way.
Upon further inspection, you had pulled your calf muscle by putting excessive strain on it.
Jade chuckled to himself at your unexpected misfortune but was much obliged to carry you back to your dorm.
He offered to make a deal but was quickly silenced when you stared him down, gesturing to the swollen bruise on your leg.
You couldn't hold it against him though. It's in his nature and you signed up for this when you started dating.
He puts on his kindest business persona for you, always refreshing you ice packs and running small errands for you.
It only took him a few snack runs to realize you were playing him.
He just laughs, much obliged to be your servant for the day.
You deserve it since it was his antics that resulted in your accident.
He isn't usually affectionate but you can get away with demanding a few kisses since you're obviously so poor and unfortunate.
...
🐲 Malleus Draconia 🐲
Tumblr media
The ghosts at Ramshackle usually minded their business but occasionally, they get a little moody and throw a fit.
This particular temper tantrum resulted in a ceramic plate being thrown directly at your face.
After sending the ghosts to the corner for time-out, you got yourself an ice pack, wincing as it touching the swelling cut just above your eye.
As if on cue, Malleus showed up at your door, anticipating your usual nightly walks.
He definitely wasn't expecting your eye to be swollen cut and bleeding.
He canceled all his plans for the next day, much to Sebek's chagrin, to take care of you at Ramshackle.
Of course, he doesn't actually know how to take care of you but he tries his best.
He helps you bandage up your eye and tells you you look like a character from one of Lilia's animated TV shows (it's dazai lol).
Anything you need, he does his best to get it for you.
He doesn't let you get up since your depth perception is muddled and he doesn't want you running into stuff.
Your wound isn't too bad since the plate didn't actually hit your eye, nor did the shards cut you too badly.
But still, it's kind of nice to be doted upon by your local dragon.

Heyooo first lemme just say that your writting is amazing. Even your darkish prompts are kinda fluffy at the end.
I imagined my prompt in a marriage of inconvenience but it kinda goes on any if yours.
Magnus flies into a rage and destroys either the NYI or alicante itself because Clary attacks Alec because of the secret marriage. Alec ismt hurt or anything but because she dared to do it our favourite high warlock shows the shadowworld that you really shouldnt touch what is his.
Thanks in advance and im looking forward to all your writtings so i can curl up in a corner wispering my precious like Gollum
Ah thank you so much! i really appreciate that and yeah, i'll write something super DDDNE and dark and then write the end and saeth will read it and go 'awww thats cute' but... that's also @saeths. who is @alxndrlightwoods and their opinion of cute things can be a little skewed.
so i'm never really sure until i post where my stuff falls tbh
kay so this is totally random but this is actually going in 'all your cracks i'll paint gold' the deruned alec verse. because it just fit best there and also, it's a bit of a plot twist because clary doesn't care enough about the institute or alicante for her to be bothered or affected in season 1 or 2 by it being destroyed.
i hope you've been enjoying them and enjoy this, thank you for this lovely prompt

Clarissa Fray is the last person Alec expected to meet on one of the rare occasions he ever leaves Magnus’ loft. The only reason he’s even where he is, is because one of Magnus’ friends is healing an acquaintance of Magnus’. Which means that when asked to go with him, Alec of course said yes.
However, he was not expecting the small redhead that charges into the hospital rune and is seething at him.  If not for the wards and magic on this floor of the hospital, Alec imagines that Fray would have caused an incident.
“You, why are you here?” She yells when she sees him and Alec reminds himself that he can’t just rip the stupid little girl’s heart out, even if she is yelling at him like she isn’t the one whose fault is everything that’s happened to him. “You’re supposed to be dead! Everyone is acting like you are. Your mom threatened me! Izzy hates me and Jace is practically a ghost! This is all your fault Alec!”
“My fault?” Alec scoffs because he’s not touching the rest of her statements and is about to argue when he realizes it’s pointless. He can’t argue with someone caught in a delusion and Clary Fray is caught in a delusion of her own grandeur and self-righteousness. “Forget it, Fray. I didn’t come here for you. You’re not even supposed to be here.”
“Well, I didn’t come here for you either, but that doesn’t matter. You’re going to help me save my mom, Alec. The warlocks won’t listen to me without Magnus, and I heard all about it while Dot was being healed. You ran to Magnus. You’re the reason why he stopped helping me, why no one can solve the potion.”
“Actually, I stopped helping you because you disgust me, and I have better ways to waste my time.” Magnus says and Alec relaxes, watching him come out of the shadows, the gold of his eyes a deadly promise in the dark.  “In fact, watching pond scum form is a far less a waste of time than listening to you.”
Magnus binds her easily and throws her through a portal, following leisurely with his arm around Alexander’s waist, his boy pressing kisses to Magnus’ temple.
“How does she know I’m with you?” Alexander asks him, worry in his voice and Magnus regrets trusting Dot as much as he and Cat have. Apparently, she’s not nearly as trustworthy as he thought, if she thinks sharing information about her High Warlock’s lover is acceptable.
Because Alec is no longer a shadowhunter and he certainly doesn’t have any ties to the clave, not like Clarissa now does. Yet for some reason, Dot shared something that she only ever heard because Magnus lowered his guard enough to share with Cat while he helped heal her.
It’s such a disregard for Magnus’ privacy as well as Cat’s and also, means that Magnus and she can no longer talk around Dot freely. Which is disappointing on many levels.
“A small mistake on my part, darling.” Magnus assures him, “I’ll handle it. She won’t be able to share it around anymore and if it looks like they’ve tracked us, I’ll simply move us again. The clave won’t be able to take you from me, darling. Not even if they begged or bribed me.”
They’re on a roof by a mundane college, an artistic one and while Magnus could feel pity for all the lives he’s about to ruin, it’s hardly his fault that Clarissa Fray doesn’t consider the consequences of her actions.
“I normally try to avoid mundane losses, even just their structural losses. However, even if you should decide not to be a shadowhunter, Clarissa Fray. Remember that because of your greed, this avenue will always be lost to you.”
With a flick of his power the fire alarm goes off and Clarissa is struggling and yelling against the magic keeping her quiet, eyes wide as the last lingering vestiges of the college flee and, as they all watch, Magnus lights it up.
Several parts of the building suddenly imploded. Little clouds of smoke and bright bursts of flames, mortar and ash and debris raining down as Clarissa screams and cries.  She’s showing more emotions for the idea that the college brings than when her little friend died or when she’d been supposedly grieving the pain, she caused Alexander and Magnus rolls his eyes.
“How tragic. Who could have predicted that a gas explosion would take down the school you hoped so dearly to join.” Magnus tuts and he pulls Alexander closer, and he sighs in contentment when his boy leans back trustingly. “Perhaps, you should learn to watch where you step, little shadowhunter. Not everyone will be so kind as to light the way and the world of shadows is a very dark one.”
Magnus portals away, leaving her to watch the place burn down and without really any interest in staying.  She’ll either manage to free herself or be found by her blond shadow and Magnus doesn’t care either way, not beyond getting Alexander away.
“I’m sorry you had to deal with that, Alexander.” Magnus tells him, when they’re back on their roof and Alexander is sitting on the moss, his knees tucked to his chin as he stares at the pond with waterfowl and koi that Magnus keeps.
Magnus very sneakily magics a little dish of tidbits to Alexander, and he’s given a weary but grateful smile before Alexander throws out the pieces. The koi dart over even faster than the birds, greedily gobbling as much as they can from the surface before following the sinking pieces down. The few birds that there are ignore them, coming straight to the edge, spoiled little creatures that they are.
They come right up to Alexander and snack out of his hand, ignoring Magnus with glaring orange eyes and ruffling their bloodred feathers.
“I can’t believe they all like bones so much.” Alexander murmurs, “it’s a good way of disposing of it though.”
Magnus hums in agreement, because that’s exactly why he has these variants on their roof.
"I loathe her." Alexander finally whispers, "I wanted to rip her heart out. She was talking to me just like she did when she first showed up. Ungrateful, demanding, like nothing in the world matters compared to what she wants. I just wanted to kill her. Make sure she can't cause any more damage to my life, Magnus. I can't I lose anymore."
“It's alright darling, I have you and I’ve taken care of it. Clarissa will be unable to speak of where you are or that she’s seen you. Or that you're with me. Dot has also been taken care of, as apparently, she was under the impression that she enjoyed certain privileges that she does not.”
Which simply meant that she was relying on their precious dalliance to smooth things over and hadn’t expected Magnus to actually be serious about his boy.
A misunderstanding of course, but a grave one on her part. Not, however, an unforgivable one.
As long as she keeps her mouth shut from now on.
