Kung Fu Panda 4-All the budget went to the animation (spoilers)

Hey all, its me, the guy who everyday make a tour around this site but almost never talk. How are ya?

Two days ago something arrived to the cinema's screens, something that me and everyone were waiting for since 2018, the fourth film and the begginig of the new kung fu panda triology.

You know? When I sat on that theather seat with my friends to see what Dreamworks had prepared for us, I told myself; "Maybe that post I made a while ago throwing shit at what seemed like Kfp 4 was going to be was a bit hard, I hope I can come out regretting what I said that time"

And as soon as the credits ended, it was clear to me, I dont regret a shit. Maybe it was a little exaggerated, compared to what a megamind fan would think about the terrible sequel they made, but still: the film is crappy and boring most of the time. But why?

I'm going to explain some points.

1- Po? Is that you?

I don't know you guys, but i don't think the panda we knew in the end of the third film is the same as this one. Seriously, he share more comparisons with the Po from the legend of awessonless than the one from the films, maybe its a personal thing but it feels that way. At least in the beggining of the film feel like that.

And I don't know what he was thinking about when he decided to follow a thief he doesn't know at all and who tried to steal in his own palace, and that suspiciously know who is the chameleon, whose were her plans, her past, where she lived, where exacly they had to pass through avoiding all the guard inside her home, why the others thiefs of the city hate her so much... With Po's experience with criminals this is like a chef throwing water on a pan with boiling oil, it's obvious what is going to happen.

2- Zheng- Female Nick Wilde but without charisma or half of his intelligence.

I knew it from the first moment I saw Zheng's desing, the people who know me can corroborate that; her facial expressions, her tone while she talk, her animal race, her position as thief, her final when she is part of the justice same as the protagonist... it's clearer than water I think.

Everyone could say this is forgivable if she's smart, but surprise, she's not. This character is just an absurd try of this company for """"conect with infant audience""""(I don't know in what sense, I supose for the cute design, idk). But the point is, the supposed objective of the hollywood companies is give the new generetions better things than we got at their age, but what I see is laziness for write a decent scrip only for take an advantage of a known IP and make easy money. Even the children have quality standars, this is not the dragon warrior and of course this is not kung fu panda.

And talking about the dragon warrior, having our deep and lovely Tigress with her magnific development or Tai Lung back from the spirit realm... why in the hell this character exists?! Oh yeah, for being trending topic in twitter for three days. Yay...

3- The furious five and Shifu, for us : our pretty boys, and for Dreamworks: living jokes.

What made Kung Fu Panda what it is, is not the fucking panda, it's them. They're the inspiration for Po, their allies, the royale representation of kung fu and the ones which everything started with.

Po's a comic relief, and his mission is show his development in part using his humor, but the humor in this film barely works because of the lazy script. Something that even the talented Jack Black himself can't fix, beacuse his only role there is dublin his character, unlike the rest of the residents of the Jade Palace except Dustin Hoffman.

Seth Rogen (Mantis) himself even said that he wasn't even contact by Dreamworks in the first place, only for make a scream in the credits, that's sad beacause he really wanted to see Mantis on the screen. And I know and I understand that the five are expensive, but cmon, they could just simply change the voice actors and offset it with a good script but that's not the case of course. Their role in the film is being a counter for Po's constant jokes, for not to saturate the spectator with jokes, now that's not in there anymore, thank you Dreamworks.

4-The chameleoooohhn and her "motivation".

I can't say much, basically because out of her design she's nonsense. She says that because of her size, she was reyected for being a kung fu warrior.

Yeah of course but only one little thing, what about Shifu? Viper, a warrior without tips? Mantis, literally a dawn insect? Master Oogway, a TURTLE? The masters goose? C'mon even there's a fucking master chicken! Don't talk shit chameleon!

Her importance for the plot? Its almost a lie, the others villains had links to important characters; Tai Lung (with his link to Shifu's past), Shen (with his link to Po's past) or Kai (with his link to Oogway's past), all of them related to important characters. And her? To zheng's past and present I guess? But again, anyone know this character. She's like a villain from a Disney show, you know the type of villain who say a lot of things but at the end, she don't support nothing to the lore.

And her personality is like a mix of all the previous villains, and this sounds good right? HAHAH nope. Do you remember when as a child you mixed all the plasticines of all the colors to create the final color and you ended up with a color similar to poop? well that's exacly how her personality feels like.

5- Po's dads; the only reason they're there is because they ran out of characters to make the film.

The tittle itself tell everything, they don't do anything for the script in all the film, and their objective could be done since the start.

The script of the film except for the final looks like a draft which they didn't know how to complete, everyone who watch it can see it perfecly. The animation, the music and the backgrounds are the only things notable here.

6- Tai Lung and the cheapness nostalgia.

Fan service is not necesarry bad, above all if is used in a good way, they sold us Tai Lung as a miracle but his importance for the plot feels just like a Stan Lee cameo, I like Tai Lung I can say that. But this is too weak, Shen and Kai are only characters in the background who don't do nothing except being defeated or make facial expressions (I don't even joke that Shen would show respect to Po considering what we saw in the second movie, and Kai wasn't supposed to be destroyed as a spirit, what the hell is he doing here again? *sign* I'll to stop trying to make sense of this).

By the way, anyone else think that the dragon warrior role is understimated? I mean Shifu obligated Po to transfers the role to another one just because yes, i mean he only has been the dragon warrior for less than 5 years and now they want to replace him with a random. Everything just for at the end, he choosed a thief with at least 30 crimes registred and who was a traitor during the 75% of the movie.

7- The """""""""humor"""""""", except they forgot the parts where I must to laugh.

Seeing nonsense hits only beacuse yes stopped of being funny a long time ago, and no, I don't want to talk about the bunnies of the portrait because I would get sick. I had to go to the cinema drunk to endure the filler that the movie had, no joke, it was the only way to laugh at those jokes.

So I think about applying the same method as in any movie with bad jokes, ignoring the jokes. I tried to do the same thing but with the pace that the film managed, such a thing was impossible, the pace of the movie seems to be made for Tiktoker children with attention deficit. From the chaos in the quarry until Po takes the bitc... uhg fox out of prison, only 10 fucking minutes pass, all of that for what? So that you feel like the baseless information and the nonsensical plot that they tell us is of any use? they could simply make a non-canonical short and that's it, but no, yes or they were going to tell us a story written by rotten old men who spend the entire day watching Tik Tok. It's not going to be that the child who sees this doesn't get bored, we know that much today's children don't have many neurons as they say, but even to make movies for them you have to have a certain talent.

In some point at the beguining Po make a joke about the ausence of the furious five saying that at least he had them in cardboard posters, and this would be a good joke. Only if the stupid film could be prove that the franquise can do something memorable without the furious five, but again, that's not the case.

Don't have any respect for this movie, look what it had with you. I understand that it is enjoyable because of the animation but it does not go beyond that line, it destroys important things about the canon and spoils its teaching about the need for change by treating it in a terrible way.

Coclusion: KFP 4 is just another Po's adventure as Shifu says, it won't tell nothing to you or make you feel different, it's a shame but after Megamind 2 I imagined something like this. It's a dark era for film, expecially the animated one so like Scar said; Be prepare, there're worse things waiting for us.

Do you want something with real quality? You don't even need kung fu panda 1,2 or 3, for make it easy to this film let's take this marvelous example; kung fu panda: secrets of the scroll (2016). You'll say; "An animated short, this is not like-" Shhh Just watch it, you won't regret it.

If you think I'm wrong in something, just rewatch the film. And if still you aren't agreed with me, well, I respect you and I'm happy you like it. I wish I could love it as you do, but that doesn't mean that the movie isn't bad, because if you watch it with your brain on or remembering the previous movies it's terrible.

. Me? I've to write a story, I love you all. Except you, Dreamworks, I'm mad with you, expecially when you do this at the same day as Akira Toriyama's death :(

For a while I rationalized the existence of the Homestuck Epilogues just cause I like Davekat and I just wanted to accept them being canon even if it also meant accepting tons and tons of character assassination and a terrible storyline

But honestly it’s time I take off the shipping goggles and acknowledge that all of the Epilogues is a mess, including my favorite ship content. They, like everyone else, are out of character and are making decisions that they’d never do

Roxy, who once threw a whole funeral for a cat, would never show disrespect at the death of one of her best friends

Jade would never prioritize invading other peoples relationships when she could be enjoying the company of her family and friends

John would never sit back and accept his fate, whether it be straight up dying or living a life of mundanity, if it meant he’d be miserable with it

Jake would never let people use him for their own gain (again), Dirk would never manipulate people (not after his character arc geez guys), Rose would never give up the chance to fix a problem herself, Kanaya would never leave her wife to suffer alone, Jane would never become the next Condesce, etc, etc.

And despite my rationalization of the Davekat scene through my shipping goggles, I have to admit that Dave would never jump headfirst into both a crush and relationship, especially when you account for his trauma. At the very least, he wouldn’t confess to having a crush without blabbering on about his anxieties first, likely coming out in the middle of a rant on accident (don’t deny it, you know he would) in the same way he accidentally calls Jane “John’s hot grandma.” He’d probably say something like “I’m going through a bisexual crisis, a bi-sis if you will- oh yeah I’m bi by the way, hahah bi-by like bye-bye which is what I should be doing before I embarrass myself further ok bye”

I can see him saying all that ^ more than I can see him downing a ton of alcohol and kissing his crush as if he was in some sort of romcom. Homestuck’s always been really good at deviating from tropes and making the characters feel more like real people, and real people don’t succumb to romcom scenarios. Karkat would smack the romcom out of Dave long before ever succumbing to his own romantic fantasies (It’s like, say you always wanted to be a fairy princess but once you actually turn into one you’re like “uhhh what this is so unrealistic and kind of uncomfortable...” Idk bad example). The point is that no one actually wants to be in a romcom, they just want some of those romantic events like singing songs and having deep emotional conversations, but not suddenly kissing each other after screaming at the fourth wall that’s for sure

Karkat is knowledgable enough in romcoms to know when he’s in one, and you know as hell he won’t give into a cheap narrative like that. Karkat’s never been one to let fate strangle him into submission, he wouldn’t have survived to 6 sweeps on Alternia if he had. Also, he has no interest in politics, not after the whole Gamzee thing anyway, and while I do think Karkat cares a lot for Dave and would want to make him happy, he surely wouldn’t do so by running for President. Karkat’s the kind of person who shows affection with little actions, like drawing with chalk or listening to music. You know, quality time

And I think it’s time that I woke up from my own romcom fantasy and realized that while I want these characters to have a happy ending, this just isn’t them in the first place

I’d like to hear some thoughts from non-davekat shippers on the subject. Nothing anti-davekat I mean, more like some opinions from people who are davekat-indifferent. How did this character development affect readers without red-tinted shipping goggles?

Let me tell you how warped people are today…

So I got my whole blog deleted

Someone and I know who flagged my page and got it deleted

so I was commenting on how I hated a Star Trek storyline that they have in deep space nine about Bashir being mad at his parents because he had augmented genes and how he took it was they didn’t love him enough and that he’s like a creation more than a person which was so stupid because all they did was heal his learning disability and they clearly loved him. They clearly were affectionate towards him. They didn’t treat him any less human than any other children. They just healed a problem that he had .

And somebody commented back-and-forth with me about how his parents took away his ability to write to choose, and I was confused about why that would be an issue because if any parent who had a child who had any kind of disability of any kind they would want them healed because who wouldn’t want to be healed from blindness, having no limbs one limb Missing fingers missing eyes.

Not only doesn’t make it an easy quality of life, but you also get to engage other things as well that in richer life more.

And we just got to the whole back-and-forth and she just twisted my whole words to make it seem like I was over here making it seem like disability disabled people aren’t people and that they were not enough and that they don’t have quality of living and I didn’t say that, I said these parents Love their children to want to see them have a better quality of life.

No one said anything about being a person or being valued because a lot of parents are very unconditionally loving to their children, especially the ones that have extensive needs. These people sacrificed our whole lives for their kids.

Parents shouldn’t be able to do that or the parent isn’t able to do that they do it because that’s their children.

Confused why she would even care because I’m pretty sure they were pro life and so that means that they’re pro abortion so that means that the parent or the mom could choose to do whatever with the clump of cells that she chooses to do with the baby definitely confused I can’t imagine how healing your child of any disability or lack they may have in their physical body is somehow worse, as opposed to getting rid of a fully healthy and capable of baby.

They didn’t throw Bashir in the trash. They didn’t abort Bashir because he was disabled. They just said we can fix this if there’s a way to fix it we can fix it..

Idk how many parents in real life may have done that they don’t document those at the abortion clinic. Even if it was it wouldn’t be socially celebrated. People would tell any mom who thee away her baby because of a disability that she’s terrible woman and mother.

Doable people are protected and provided for in our society. They are loved and respected and even catered to . It’s ILLEGAL to not have any ramp accessible business in the USA. You even have to have bars for the bathroom for the disabled and at hotels.

So I’m confused what this persons “proof “ or point was

But I had a problem with the storyline because of how he reacted, and how he was completely missing his parents intentions of doing that as was the person who got my page deleted was missing the entire intentions of doing that. And it was very OOC of them.

This is crazy we live in

Like here are these people who have to do all these extra steps that they eventually get used to who can’t function, but or can’t function by themselves, depending on the severity of the disability or not or what it is and you wanna make it seem like having full functional ability of your life and creating an easier life for you a bad thing?!?

[Been thinking about Duncan lately, so, older Duncan doodle?]

[Some random hcs under the cut?]

The cure, despite miraculously booting the fever from his system and halting the likely degeneration of his body, didn't "fix" the damage the disease had already caused. The boils left discoloration and scarring, his muscles had become too weak to really support his body, and he struggled with speech and memory.

This was probably a bit distressing for Maccready, but also not too surprising? A lot of the kids back in Little Lamplight struggled with various health problems, such as the rickets and malnutrition mentioned in fo3, so he probably wasn't shocked by it nor unprepared, just terribly anxious about anything getting worse and Duncan's health taking a plummet again.

I like to think Maccready brought Duncan to the Commonwealth once things settle a bit, and because of so, Curie was able to assist in furthering his treatment. It helped her research more into the health of children in the wasteland and create better over-all treatment for settlements, and in turn helped Duncan over time regain more of his strength and motor-skills.

It's not often a parent gets to watch their child learn to walk and run for a second time, but Maccready did, and it seems his stubborn determination is quite genetic.

While he is capable of walking and running, Duncan's balance never really returned and he tires very easily, hence the walking cane in the doodle. He likely has a few depending on what he needs for the day or how tired/achy he is, since the "quality" of his health might be a bit more of a day-by-day ordeal.

Hancock tried gifting Duncan a sword-cane he had laying around in the Old State House for a birthday, but Maccready quickly intervened, putting it away till Duncan was older. Maccready did think it was pretty cool though.

In a way, Cait and Duncan somewhat bonded over their recovery processes. (I tend to believe that that really sketchy vault machine also wasn't a "cure-all" type deal, and so, Cait also likely had quite the road ahead of her when it came to recovering.) Duncan looked up to her when it came to stuff such as the physical therapy, as she seemed so strong to him, and he wanted to do his best, but not push himself too hard, to one day be as strong as her. Funnily enough, Cait thought it the other way around, watching this small child carefully build himself back up, she figured he was the much stronger one in a self-loathing way. But eventually she figured "If this kid can do it, why the fuck can't I?"

Weirdly enough, the disease didn't leave many effects on Duncan's eyesight and he has about the same hawk-like vision of his father. However, the disease did affect how steady his hands are, so he can't really shoot as straight without support or leaning against something. He's a good spotter though. Might enjoy bird-watching?

While debatable with the wonkiness of canon, I do tend to lean towards Duncan's mother having been the Lucy from Little Lamplight just because, idk, I really loved her in fo3, and while I hate it meaning she dies in such a way, I do like the idea of Duncan having many of her traits, both physically and personality-wise. He's almost a near-50/50 mix of his parents.

Like Lucy, he's a lot more naturally patient compared to Maccready. Constant physical therapy and medical appointments made that a bit of a heaven sent. Probably, a bit of a funny image from an outside view in the waiting rooms of clinics. (Duncan sitting calmly, perhaps reading a comic or drawing, and next to him Mac just constantly looking around, bouncing his leg, wringing his hands, making small noises to distract from fretting about Duncan.)

Despite the patient nature, he is just about as distractible as Maccready is. Father and son shopping/restocking runs go a little out of hand because of that. They both prefer lists and schedules.

Duncan is a very avid reader, but generally loves stories in whatever form he can get them in. It was a bit of a life-line during the worst of his fever, having someone there to read to him or tell him stories and distract him from the pain. It became a passion of his later on. He loves hearing Daisy talk about the pre-war libraries, and her favorite stories.

Perhaps he'd take up writing? Making up his own stories to read or tell to others just as they had to him. Maybe he'd weasel an extra or un-used type-writer from Piper to write with.

Just like his Dad, fish/seafood does not agree with him. But! Unlike his Dad, he's not allergic to dust lol.

Duncan's soft-spoken for the most part, which just makes his threats or insults all the more intense as he can deliver them with his father's conviction, just a lot calmer and serious.

...Duncan does swear, he just tries to hide it from Maccready. ( Mac knows...)

If it's okay to ask, I'm curious what your initial thoughts are on the potential plot for the Insomniac Spidey sequel game! I'm still sorting my thoughts, but one of the things that definitely crossed my mind was how the story trailer reminded me of both TASM films (eg. terminally ill Harry as a major villain, the main villain plot being forcibly 'healing' the world, and we know from the MM post-credits scene that Connors is behind Harry's treatment with the symbiote, etc.), and while the main issue with the eugenics stuff in the TASM films is how it was framed as being both real and good and neither Peter nor the narrative ever challenges it, rather than just the villains being villainous and it could go differently here, I'm really not sure how optimistic to be at this point in speculation - but it's also not an aspect of the trailer I've seen much discussion on either.

having gone over the original game again, (geez I forgot how hard they went on the Spider-Cop bit) I still don't feel as pessimistic on this plot point as others seem to be... yet.

MSM1 had parallels to TASM1 too, without fumbling the ball as hard. Main villain starts as an ally researching limb replacement, partially for themselves; plot turning point is a Oscorp gene-cure-mist being released into the city with terrible results. It helps that Insomniac's medical science is just 50% less bullshit. Devil's Breath names a real genome editing tech (CRISPR by viral vector) and genetic diseases that aren't just disabling, but fatal (cystic fibrosis, Huntington's) as the intended target. There's no TASM-esque twist where victims with improperly edited genes become a ''devolved'' ''lower lifeform'' or turn murderous. They just get sick.

Otto doesn't consider using Devil's Breath on himself. His condition isn't even genetic. Dumb to have to point that out, but TASM Curt compares limb loss to agonizing death by disease (??) and proposes his amputation be "fixed" with genetic modification (???) while Otto's focus is on (embellished) mobility aids. The idea that brain damage from the arms made Otto evil is brought up and then refuted. Martin and Otto have social + financial motivations which overlap with but aren't fully defined by disability. They're well-intentioned extremists: they want to take down a crooked capitalist who's politically untouchable... time to poison random civilians!

Going by these trends: I expect Harry to have a fairly realistic diagnosis and to use real assistive aids alongside any sci-fi treatments (he has a cane for a second in the trailer). I expect that if he did inherit his condition it was from his mother, and the only person who might be weird about that is Norman. Insomniac Harry's previous vision for "healing the world" has been air and water quality, green energy, and wildlife health. If this changes, I expect a more nuanced explanation than "idk he's sick and crazy now".

Will I actually like it? Who knows! (Like MJ was fine. but she's not My MJ.) I'm still crossing my fingers for sentient alien Venom because I think it would make everything more interesting to have Venom the character rather than just the plot device.

I'm truly more worried for Curt--most of the Insomniac plotlines are pulled from modern comics. (For the love of god please let's not do Shed.) But comics Devil's Breath was a poison that killed only certain genetic lineages, and someone made the call to avoid that minefield of weird ideas. So. Hope remains that this will not be the TASM movies' kind of freakshow.

hm. thoughts on mipha? maybe how she thought about the calamity + how she’d think of the other champions (if. you havent answered this already!)

ohoho well :) if you insist

haha as far as the calamity goes she has got. the Dread and she has got it bad. even though some of the other champions' outlook on defeating calamity ganon is optimistic (even gaffen thinks everything is going to be fine), mipha is really...not super confident in the whole thing. she keeps this to herself most of the time, and really thinks she's overthinking it most of the time, but she still has a looming sense of dread about the whole thing. she talks with vah ruta about it occasionally. daruk has told her that the best thing to do about it is to make plans for the future, so she has done a bit of that! they've talked about meeting up on death mountain once everything is over. she tries to keep herself busy with projects. she really likes weaving and crafting in general god I just imagined her weaving a little turtle somewhere on the zora armor throws up. her favorite animal is turtles.

she's afraid of dying and afraid of living and afraid of giving up but can't see herself winning. you know. the general looming horror of existence. embracing your death because you're lonely and the walls you've built around yourself are too terrible to bring down. idk.

she is terrified by the prospect of having to potentially lose her life fighting the calamity, well. she's always lived for other people and doesn't really take her own health or safety in mind much. really funny because she'll absolutely get on other people's cases for doing the same thing she does. if gaffen and her were closer they'd constantly piss each other off bc of this and i think its hilarious

ultimately the only thing that really stays in her mind as a reason to look forward to things is living for people she thinks can be genuine. she loves her little brother because she thinks he can show his feelings where she just. can't. because that would mean not being a fuckin doormat and she thinks she's morally obligated to be one for her people's sake lmao. this is part of the reason shes so obsessed with gaffen because she thought he was a genuine person when he was little and now he's not so she's like. maybe we could learn how to be real people together. or maybe just with ourselves. its more of a subconscious thing she doesnt actively think this but shes such an i can fix him girl. stop

sorry for going on a tangent about mipha I dont even generally like quiet passive characters whose canon personality boils down to love interest I just decided she was a people pleaser and everyone around turned her into a saint when she wasnt and she was never truly known um throws myself into a pit of flames. heaven forbid i read too much into implications. i love women!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

now where was I. oh yeah the champions.

i've already partially explained her relationship with revali long story short she doesn't like him. example of a guy who needs to shut up Immediately. which isnt to say she wouldnt like to get along with him he seems like a person who has good qualities she just wishes he would shut up, so she gets passive aggressive around him

daruk!! ok they actually do really like each other because how could you not like daruk cmon. he's seen through her polite facade a few times and seen how scared she is so he's tried to help her out a bit and she appreciates it a lot :] (yea I know gaffen and mipha both like him its that magnetic extrovert guy charm and I really like introvert-extrovert dynamics)

daruk and urbosa are actually good friends lmao so daruk has passed some of what he knows onto her. so yea mipha also likes her. appreciates her advice quite a bit they train together sometimes!! shes really interested in gerudo jewelry as well she has a few pieces urbosa has given her as a gift and she's given urbosa some zora pieces

about my story, "ryan: sins of the father"!

this is a story about a boy named ryan, finally facing the crimes of his father. for so long he idolized his father, saw him as perfection, but slowly that image will unravel. along the way, he'll unravel himself, as well. can ryan ever forgive himself? can ryan ever be a good person? can ryan be a good brother? can ryan be a good lover? let's find out!

note: this is a multi-fandom fic, where characters will be from and travel to various movies/shows/games. the main characters are undertale aus/headcanons; ryan himself and his brother are sans and papyrus aus respectively, and their father is gaster. they're not meant to be entirely accurate (i mean, for one, it's unlikely that canon sans and papyrus are fallen humans at all.), they've always just been my own interpretations of the characters. with heavy projection. with that in mind, i should also state that this has been in the works since 2015-2016 or so, so it's pretty self-indulgent and cringe but i like it that way!!! i've projected too heavily onto this and i'm constantly brainrotting it so i can't just abandon it!!!

the star of the show, my behated /neg, it's ryan gallagher! the 23 year old manfailure, whose personality i would describe but it's almost 7,000 words long what the fuck ryan!!!! (writing him was a pain holy shit) but to sum it up he's a little messed up lying bitchface (explodes him with my mind) i will insult him a lot but i also projected onto him extremely heavily so idk if that says a lot about me or not. um. it's a semi-joke and it's been long-running that i hate him (i have extremely strong feelings about him /neg) but it's (mostly) not really serious. this guy needs therapy but he's terribly in denial and he is committed to destroying himself and all of his relationships before that happens 🙄 like just stop lying lmao (i am a hypocrite) his backstory is not written yet because. i'm fucking terrified of how long that's going to take and how long it's going to be because i'm planning for all of the stuff that felix and wiley's backstories missed (they're kind of written from their perspective but also not because third person??? idk man) and holy shit. if you thought his personality was bad. or if you thought it wasn't as bad as the trigger warnings made it seem. they're mostly for the backstory. as a sans au he fucking lost it and killed frisk, but that exploded his timeline so he panicked and absorbed the souls, and he's here now ig do not go to his toyhouse i am begging

aaaaa it's him!!!!! felix gallagher!!!! the bestest ever <333 i love him sm /p this is ryan's younger brother, 22 years old and loving life!!! he's optimistic, loves to help, and totally doesn't have any sort of anxieties rooted from his brother manipulating his life!!! (he does) he seems quite confident and independent, but he feels like ryan's babying can undermine his individuality. at the same time, he doesn't like to think such things of his brother, surely ryan knows what's best for him? as a papyrus au, he befriended flowey and gained the courage to fight back against frisk and absorb the seven souls to fix his glitched timeline, but that backfired, so here he is now! felix toyhouse :]

aislinn gallagher, felix and ryan's mother, dearly missed ;-; she may be gone, but her absence has left a void in many a heart, and her short-lived presence in the gallaghers' lives has affected them deeply. visit her in the garden?

why he look like that wtf (you may notice that a lot of the art in these posts are. inconsistent. and to that i say, a lot of this art is made across the span of a couple of years so. yeah.) anyway this is wiley gallagher he's 43 years old and i might joke about how much ryan is a terrible person but i'm serious when i say this man is literally AWFUL. like. i'm not kidding. he has not a single redeeming quality and not in the "haha silly" kind of way i mean. i hope literally nobody likes him because actually. what the fuck. i wrote him to be an irredeemable disgusting piece of shit and he's staying that way. there are sympathetic aspects to his story because otherwise it'd be a bit boring y'know but like. straight up. he's not a good person. he's the villain for a reason lmao uhhhh ramble aside he's a scientist who hates his sons and wants to reach the edge of scientific possibility, whether or not that destroys the universe he doesn't really care (great guy). he just wants to be the smartest dick to have ever lived, and hold all of the scientific knowledge ever or something like that. egotistical with an overinflated sense of what he's capable of. writing his backstory actually made me sick like /srs i took "gaster is associated with the devil" and ran with it (also you can't tell me that gaster in canon doesn't seem like a piece of shit?) i'd advise only to go to his toyhouse to send him hate.

so r:sotf was originally not even a multifandom story, it was just an undertale multiverse story, which is why there's such a focus on undertale characters. so here's chara, flowey/asriel, and frisk dreemurr, and the other fallen children (noah, icarus, and madeline)!!! i've never liked how the fandom interprets chara personally, like the whole "chara is an evil demon child" or "chara is abusive and hateful" like. this is a ten year old. what the fuck. like yeah most of the ut fandom especially back then were children but why do children hate children lmao anyway. chara and flowey have issues to work out but they're getting through it!!! i believe in them. read more about my interpretations of chara, flowey/asriel, and frisk on deviantart (since i can't upload them to toyhouse)!!!

meet ginger clair and jacinta bardales, two rivals who are some of the first people that ryan meets once his (dead) timeline kicks him out!! the girlypop and gamer goth girl hate each other oh no :[ the 19 and 20 year olds have a bit of a history with each other and ryan's getting caught between the crossfire ginger is glittery pink mr beast and jacinta is matpat if he was a goth lesbian (i'm so sorry) i'm very normal about women here's pink toyhouse and purple toyhouse yeah

this isn't hello kitty, it's oisin kelly, silly!!! i saw hello kitty goth fashion once and knew that i needed to make an oc that was just. that. and here he is!! ryan meets the 22 year old in the world after ginger and jacinta's, where he also finds felix and flowey. oisin is hiding them from the government!!! yippee! oisin likes baking and cake decorating, and sees a lot of potential in ryan (i don't see it but you do you) and bow's trying to support him which is nice :] not worth it though me when hello kitty on toyhouse????

yes that is the ok ko character base, because edward chen is an ok ko oc!!!! (ok ko is such a silly show you should watch it NOW!!!!) his hero name is multi-magician and this 23 year old is very chill, maybe even stoned. (you know those characters where they're ambiguously high. yeah) yes ryan and felix go to the ok ko universe and there they meet edward who is very cool and just wants to make sure these two sillies don't hurt themselves. (particularly ryan because he's very concerning holy shit) the scar on his face he got from climbing a fence and subsequently falling. he tells a different story every time and he thinks it's cool and funny edward toyhouse be upon ye

last but not least!!! here we have elara samson, from the world of the spectacular spider-man. she's the 18 year old vigilante, who thinks spidey is immature and naive, and they're quite jaded and vengeful in general. sometimes they're on the same side as spidey, sometimes she's against him! just depends on the job. elara toyhouse moment

that's all, folks!! as i said in the beginning of this post, this has been in the works for like. what. 8 years now??? time is such a fucked concept wtf :[ and it's still being worked on!!! can you believe it??? but this is definitely the story i'm most passionate about, and i'm excited to finally be posting about it!! i'd love to see what you guys think :0

I forgot how much I love YouTube music

I only got spotify because my friends made fun of me

And I loved it because it was easy to switch from YouTube and I need music

Like some days I can't breathe without it

My brains too loud and even without music I have a constant stream of music in my head

I rely on my apps to control the chaos

If the music is controlled then I'm in control and it's not control line me and its easier to keep on track when the internal radio is given tracks instead of allowed to free roam

I listen to my music app on the daily, I rely on it as part of routine. I have music that I play specifically to help me sleep too, it helps me feel better. It energizes me, relaxes me, feeds my feelings and let's me let things out instead of holding them in.

I had hours of playlists and songs downloaded and different radios for different moods

I had this previously on YouTube and was finally getting my spotify to match because there somethings that I never got a chance to fully transfer over. I was literally using the app when it updated.

I went to change the playlist because I needed to feed myself so I needed my focus mix instead of my fun mix and I honestly thought I had crashed the app and it was glitching out.

Everything was wrong all at once. Like I spent an hour figuring out how to contact support because I thought I broke it or pushed the buttons and had changed the settings by accident. I couldn't figure out what I did wrong and was genuinely a little stressed out and upset, and then upset with myself for being upset about something so unimpressed as my app breaking down. Support basically apologized and was like it's the newest update were trying out and isnt it so much better and it's gonna be so cool. And it's bad, terrible and wrong. Like it's an infinite scroll, all but my recently listened to mixes are gone. There's no organization any more and the home page is full of random videos that auto play interrupting my music I'm listening too auto playing anytime I go to the home page even by accident. None of them are relevant and the search feature is equally as broke. Instead of like showing the lists of songs and videos or artist info it's more big ass tiles with fuckong videos. Spotify is an audio app, it's for music and podcasts. It's too listen not to watch, it's to Listen. I really really hate. And I wish they would just have left it as is. Maby this makes me old and uncool but like I need my scrolling app and my listening apps to be separate. I used this app like I breathe and they took everything that I need away.

So I'm really hoping they fix it, but I'm not optimistic. But also I forgot about YouTube music, and I reopened today for the first time in a long time and it was like coming home. So I updated my artists and liked paylists and its already updating and making me mixes that im really enjoying. I don't know if it's actually as good as I'm feeling or if I'm just tired and desperate for normalcy, but I loved it before spotify and it's so reliable even after spotify. Also it's got access to live recordings and YouTube only songs that just make my brain so happy. The variation is like a warm hug on my ears and for some of the songs the quality is just like sex.

Honestly even if spotify gets it's shit together I'm not sure if I'll go back. It's not like you music will go through the tick tock craze. The tube already has its own version and this is solely for listening and has never let me down. IDk time will tell

ok lisen i LOVED scarlet and violet i beat it + post game a couple days ago and am now just doing tera raids and trying to complete the pokedex and i looooved it i loved the story and rhe characters are all so wonderful... (i love u larry rika and arven...) and in my Opinion its on par with how good the black/white storyline was. probably the best mainline story we've gotten in the past decade (sumo was good but i think this was better) but i'm also very unhappy with a lot of the game

the performance quality is absolutely terrible!! my game has run at 3fps multiple times, the background characters run at 2fps, the bugs and glitches are funny but they shouldnt be nearly this prominent, and for a company as big as pokemon, the highest grossing franchise EVER, its embarrassing!!

i know WHY its horrible, gamefreak employees are worked to the bone on crunch time constantly because they have a schedule to follow esp with the anime, and nintendo is fine with putting out a half assed game because they know we'll all buy it anyway (i will. i am guilty) but itss till... not good. i love the open world, but there have been multiple times where the fun was sort of dulled by my character being stuck in place riding miraidon and....all that yko. and people are getting upset that people are pointing this out?? "theyll just patch it!!" games should come out polished. patches are fine but this is like... substantial. i dont like getting treated like im a Hater(tm) for pointing out that this shouldnt be happening. nintendo has more than enough money to fix these things before the game's release date

and also. i feel like the games would be substantially more fun with voice acting idk like. it wouldnt be hard. they have more than enough money to hire voice actors and it would make the experience more enjoyable. like... for the cutscenes at Least. i know its 'traditional' to not have voice acting in pokemon games but theres really no reason not to?? idk

i loved the games but the glitches and bugs should not be happening!! its not weird to expect a game to come out polished on its release date, especially for a studio like gamefreak. its not an indie studio, its a Huge corporation, and we should expect way better from them
