Opposite - Doubt

Remus put their bakery purchases in the fridge, ready for after dinner. Sirius had complained, of course, and Remus had to point out that he’d taken so long to decide that it was now so late that he would spoil his dinner and as Remus was putting some effort into tonight’s meal, he refused to let it go to waste.

He was making a roast dinner because Sirius had begged him for Yorkshire puddings. Everything was ready. Just the Yorkshires to go. He’d turned the oven high and put in the muffin tray with the oil.

Soon, it was time to put the batter into the hot oil. He always hated this bit as it tended to hiss and spit. Once he’d gotten the tray back into the oven, all that was left was to wait. 

Sirius had come in and decided his way of being helpful was to tell Remus every couple of minutes. 

“They’re not rising. — Remus, they’re still not rising. —Remus, they’re not rising.” Remus lost count of how many times Sirius complained. 

“Just have a little faith, sweetheart. They always go in the end.” He gave Sirius a job to do so he wouldn’t keep pestering. “Could you finish off the gravy, please?” Sirius nodded and busied himself with the kettle. 

By the time that was done, the puddings had indeed risen. 

“Wow, Remus. I think these are your best yet.” Sirius said. He peered through the glass oven door at the gigantic Yorkshire puddings. A huge grin spread across his face.

𝘾𝙤𝙖𝙘𝙝 𝙩𝙧𝙞𝙥 𝙛𝙤𝙧 𝙩𝙝𝙚 𝙙𝙖𝙮 𝙩𝙤 𝘽𝙧𝙞𝙙𝙡𝙞𝙣𝙜𝙩𝙤𝙣! 🏖

The kids and I plus people from my Voluntary work spent the day in Bridlington - organised by @lighthousecommunityhub 'Lighthouse Outreach Project.'

Each week it has great community activities on, they provide food parcels, a baby bank and offer cooked meals too. I took my youngest to toddler group there and when she started school I just wanted to pay it forward and offer any help I could.

Which brings me to what did we do at Bridlington?! Well, we spent the day in a lovely seaside town where my children frolicked on the beach (Winnie stripped off and was having a mermaid moment in the sea, but discovered after that bathing in that particular part of the sea isn't advised but hey, building immunity) we have fish and chips and of course checked out the arcades.

Bridlington, on the Yorkshire coast, is a tradition seaside resort with golden sands, a promenade and attractive gardens. There is a working harbour located between the two main beaches to the north and south of the town - a dynamic business hub, crucial to the town and its residents. At the helm are the Bridlington Harbour Commissioners, a group of individuals, supported by an administrative team, who manage, protect and develop all aspects of the harbour and its activities.

It's a place with a rich history, stunning scenery, and a range of attractions and activities to suit all ages and interests - plus a popular destination for birdwatchers, with the nearby Bempton Cliffs nature reserve being home to thousands of seabirds. The town has a range of accommodation options, including hotels, guest houses, and self-catering cottages too!

Situated in the region East Riding of Yorkshire in England! It is on the Holderness part (Flamborough Head to the Humber estuary) of the Yorkshire Coast by the North Sea. The town is about 28 miles (45 km) north of Hull and 34 miles (55 km) east of York. The stream called Gypsey Race flows through the town and enters the North Sea at the harbour.

I had the chance to do 2 garage sales this week! Those are my finds:

First one:

Sylvanians! The squirrel family is missing the dad! I only got his trousers!!! Wherever he is, the poor dear must be a little bit embarassed without it! (*ﾉ▽ﾉ) (and the daughter is naked, it’s even worse! X’D) I already have them all but the tuxedo cats have slightly different outfits than mine! The Jasmine is a fake but for the price I don’t care and she is pretty ^^ I sold almost all my Sweetie Pups a few years ago to other toy collectors, so I am always happy to find one I can keep now (and the york is my favourite, so yeah!)

Second one:

Only dolls! I am happy about Raya because I didn’t buy her last time I went to Disney. The Jojo was a surprise, since she is mostly unknown in my country and her dolls aren’t available here. ┐(‘～` )┌ The Crystal Barbie dress was hard to get, the person selling it wanted it for a price to high with an ugly doll, but I managed to change their mind and to sell me only the dress ^^
