⚔︎- Chapter Two: The Dark Forest-⚔︎
Y/n stopped running to catch their breath but also turned to look back towards the palace that had been their home for so many years. It was all they knew, but that simple knowledge sent fear coursing through them again. Quickly Y/n turned and ran deeper into the forest.
The village road was a well-traveled route that they were afraid to go on. They endured the brambles, thistles, and thorns that grew quickly in the underbrush instead. The thistles thrashed Y/n's ankles and the thorns tore the makeshift cloak they were wearing. Their heart pounding so loudly that they stopped when they could hear nothing else. However, at that point, Y/n was driven forward by a greater fear of being captured than a fear of the unknown.
They found that the more they moved, the forest around them lay in listening quiet. The noise of Y/n's scrambling canceled out any noise of a follower behind them. So they ran without stopping. When at last Y/n couldn't go any further, they sat down with their back against a huge tree and rested their head on their knees.
"I'm too tired to be afraid," Y/n muttered out to the open air before closing their eyes.
When Y/n's eyes reopened, the gray light of dawn lit the clearing around them. Where the clearing merged into the forest, tangled fronds and broken branches marked the way they had come. Y/n stared in dismay. Prince Shigaraki's trackers would not even be needed to find them. They would be the morning's entertainment for his visitors.
"Oh, I wouldn't worry about it." The voice was gentle, hardly disturbing the quiet of the peaceful clearing.
Their heart leaped into their throat. At first glance around the cleaning, they saw nothing. They were ready to believe that they had finally gone mad.
In their peripherals, they saw a long red, and scaly tail. This tail belonged to a… man? He sat resting on a branch above Y/n on the tree they had fallen asleep against. He had bright red hair that spiked towards the heavens, scarlet eyes, sharp pointed teeth that formed a smile, folded wings, and horns that protruded from his red hair. He wore no cloak, just a small grey vest that did nothing to hide his rather muscular build that was littered with scales, a baggy pair of dark grey pants, and a dull orange scarf hung loosely around his neck.
Y/n shuffled forward in alarm when he jumped down from his perch above them. He made a non-threatening gesture by raising his hands in surrender. He walked slowly towards the way that Y/n had come. They watched him, ready to run. He retraced Y/n's steps and with heavy swipes of his tail, he crushed the brambles and undergrowth. Y/n watched in curiosity and astonishment. When at last the man was finished, a wide portion of the underbrush had been flattened. The tacks that they had left had been well hidden. The man made his way back towards them. He stretched his arms above his head yawning, sharp pointed teeth fully on display.
"W-why did you help me?" Questioned Y/n, not used to kindness, especially kindness from a stranger. The man tilted his head at them, pondering their question.
"There's nothing the way you came but Shigaraki's palace," the man replied gently. "Anyone who flees from that wretched place will find that I give my assistance freely."
Y/n's e/c eyes widen in surprise. Slowly they felt their body begin to relax. "You do not call him Prince," they said wearily studying the man.
"Nope," the man said confidently. "I only have one who I shall call Prince, and it's not Shigaraki, brother to our dead Queen.
"Who do you serve then?" Y/n asked.
"I serve the barbarian Prince and his family. I am his mate and sworn protector, it's what my dragon-shifting ancestors have done for centuries before the great war. When we lost so many…" His voice trailed off. He looked back at Y/n, and his eyes lost their fire, becoming gentle.
He shakes his head as if to clear his thoughts before looking back at them with his head tilted and a wide smile. "Come on," he said. "We shouldn't linger around here. It's unwise and dangerous."
Y/n hesitated for a moment. They looked around as if finding the best route of escape.
"Come," the man said gently yet firmly at the same time. "No harm will come to you when you're with me." His eyes pleading her to allow him to help.
When Y/n took the first step towards him, it surprised even them. But once their decision was made, they couldn't turn back. Y/n intended to take another step toward the man but stopped due to her feet being cut up and having extremely sore muscles. The man gave them a once-over before swiftly walking over and picking them up, bridal style. They let out a squeak before clutching their cloak tighter and pulling their hood down to cast a shadow over their eyes, but the man didn't look down at them. Instead, he gave a light rumble that they felt vibrate in his chest. He walked into the sea of overgrown ferns. Y/n could see the path before the ferns hid it again.
Y/n had become used to the swaying motion of being carried when they came across an open meadow. Little huts were clustered along its edges, their little chimneys sending light grey smoke into the sky. Between the huts, Y/n could see animal corrals. People went about their work, stopping now and then to entertain their children.
"Is it a village?" Y/n whispered in awe.
The man gave her a funny look. "Have you never been to the village?"
They shook their head. Their attention was fixed on the huts, and they didn't see the look the man gave them.
They moved through the village. Few individuals turned to look at them with curiosity. Y/n was drawn to one in particular; he had his back to them, but his ash blonde hair was spiky, and he moved with an unusual grace. When he turned, his ruby-red eyes followed the two. Y/n was too tired to remember just how he sparked this recognition and too sore to really care.
The shapeshifter carried them away from the village to a small camp and the man that Y/n saw before was there waiting.
This man had spikey blonde hair, piercing blood-coloured eyes, different tribal jewelry, and tribal tattoos. He had no shirt on his muscular chest, a red cloak adorned with white fur at the collar sat on his shoulders, and baggy black pants hung up by a belt sat dangerously on his narrow waist.
"Tch, the hell is this?" The ash blonde spoke harshly.
"A guest and be nice." The shapeshifter said with a sigh.
"Eijiro." The ash blonde said warningly.
"Eijiro?" Y/n muttered this name out.
The redhead holding them looked down at them in his arms with a smile.
"Yup, that's my name. Eijiro Kirishima! Guess we didn't really introduce ourselves before, did we?" He said with a light chuckle.
The blonde let out a loud sigh. "Whatever, we will talk later about this. I saw a herd of wild boar this morning and intend to get some fucking meat for dinner."
"Could you possibly drive them through the clearing near the twisted tree and a little bit through the plain?" Kirishima asked the blonde while setting Y/n on a freshly made bed roll.
"Why?" The blonde snapped.
Kirishima went closer to the other man before whispering something that made his jaw clench. Y/n could only catch something about The Yami no dōmei (T: Dark Alliance), which made them shudder.
The blonde quirked an eyebrow before saying, "Heh! Shigaraki's group might change one hunt for another". He didn't care how loud he was or if Y/n heard him.
Kirishima kisses the man on the lips with a quick "Be safe Katsuki."
The blonde smirks after the kiss and looks towards Y/n, who looks away embarrassed for being caught staring at their private moment. The blonde laughed heartily, then grabbed a sword and headed to the area where he had last seen the herd of boars earlier.
Y/n watched Katuski walk away before they realized how tired they were and how comfy this bed roll that Ejiro had placed them down upon. They didn't even notice when Ejiro got a bucket of water and sat beside them.
"Mind laying back for me? Just want to clean your scratches, don't want them getting infected, do we?" He says, gently pushing their shoulder to get them to lay back.
Ejiro pulled out a shimmering green vile from his trouser pocket and dumped its contents into the bucket of water. They made no protest as he slid their cloak off from their shoulders. When a cloth dipped in the bucket was gently applied to the scratches created by the thistles, Y/n closed their eyes.
The rhythmic movement abruptly halted. The feeling of comfort vanished in an instant. When Y/n opened their eyes, they noticed that Ejiro's scarlet eyes were sweeping over the birthmark on their shoulder. Almost in a protective manner, their hand shot up to cover it. Ejiro turned away, sensing the uneasiness.
He got up and started tending to things around the small campsite. Y/n waited tensely for him to mention anything about the birthmark. But he said nothing. For some strange reason, the silence from him bothered them even more. It robbed them of their peace and made them slightly angry.
"Here, I made some tea to help you relax enough to sleep. Made with Valerian, you know, the plant." Ejiro said, placing a small cup beside them.
Y/n knew of the plant Valerian. It was in one of the books they had read many times while locked in their room. Valerian is well known for having mildly hypnotic qualities that make it act on the nervous system like a sedative.
"O-oh, thank you," Y/n said, sitting up a little. With his back to them, they pretended to sip the tea before dumping it on the grass next to the bedroll. Then, instead of taking that much-needed rest, Y/n spent the next few hours feigning sleep.
Many thoughts and images ran through their mind. Y/n thought of the palace, Shigaraki raging at Mange for losing them, the boars, and the two new acquaintances they had met. With all those thoughts swirling through their head, they fell into a troubled sleep.
Thanks for reading, hope it was enjoyable!! Make sure to stick around for ⚔︎- Chapter Three: Flames at Noon-⚔︎

Broken Promises. (Deku x reader)
Drabble, Characters are 18+
Synopsis: Called into work the day of your wedding anniversary. Will you be able to make the dinner plans or will being selfless cost you?
Word count: 1,265
Key: (Y/n) - Your name, (e/c) - eye colour
Warnings: Fluff, death, and angst.
Written for @bells2319, hope you like it! Please let me know what you think!
"Nooooo, I'm not letting you out of this bed!" The whiney voice of your husband rang out, his scarred and calloused hands holding onto your hips tighter while burying his face in your chest.
You let out a chuckle as you ran your fingers through his mess of green curls, kissing the crown of his head before countering by saying, "Izu, baby… I have to head to the agency today. They need me for a super quick, in-and-out mission. Then I'll be back before you know it!"
"The day of our second wedding anniversary? They can find someone else, like Kacchan! You need to stay here and be with your husband," Izuku pouts and moves to rest his head in the crook of your neck. You suddenly let out a gasp when you felt him start to kiss your neck and you didn't have to see his face to know that he was happy with your small response.
"That's it! Izuku Midoriya, I will be leaving this bed!" You challenge with narrow eyes as you pry and twist yourself away from your husband's death grip. This made you roll off the bed and land on your wobbly feet.
"Get your sea legs yet?" He questioned with dark green eyes.
"Oh, shut up!" You giggle, making your way to the shared closet.
"Now, it's only 4:00 pm and I'll be home in time for the special dinner you had planned for us," You explained, taking off your pajamas while grabbing your hero costume, "And then… We can do whatever you want afterwards."
Izuku whined at the feeling of your warmth leaving the bed, his arm lazily moving his forest of hair from his eyes so he could watch what little show you put on.
"You don't get into trouble while I'm gone young man, do you understand me?" You tease him, fully dressed in your hero costume and coming near the unmade bed.
Izuku huffed. Using his free arm he lifted himself to be level with you, except for the small height difference. Even in your hero uniform, you look perfect in his eye. Everything about you screamed perfection to him.
"You better come back safe and not be late, darling." He said, emerald green eyes looking down at your e/c ones.
Smiling warmly, you knew that he held such a deep love and concern for you. Reaching up to cup his cheek, you leaned in and placed your lips against his. He tried to make the kiss heated, and you allowed it, letting him kiss you with every ounce of passion you knew he held for you.
When you finally did break away, you kept your forehead on his. While he kept his arms around your waist.
"I promise I'll be safe and come back to you." You whisper.
That whisper rang true in his heart while he watched you go. It rang true while the hours passed. It started to falter when you missed dinner reservations, and it completely shattered when he got a call from the police station.
Everything was muffled to him, all he could remember hearing was, "We deeply apologize Mr. Midoriya."
Never had the hero felt more of a punch to the gut than this moment. Never had Izuku known that the last time with his beloved Y/n would be the last. The last time he heard you laugh, saw you smile, feel your warmth, wipe your tears.
"N-no, this… T-this is a joke." was the last thing he said before he was up and out the door.
Izuku wasted no time running down the many flights of stairs of your shared apartment building, knowing that the elevator would have taken too long for such a rushed occasion.
"Damn it!" The freckled man yelled once he reached outside, not caring who saw or heard him. He made quick use of his quirk and made his way to the police station, ignoring all the startled cries of the crowd below. The words from the phone call became clearer in his head.
"We couldn't get to them soon enough sir, we tried everything in our power…"
Gritting his teeth and forcing himself not to break down, he ignored the voice in his head while he drew closer to the station.
Barging through the doors of the police station, Izuku didn't even bother checking with the front desk, knowing exactly where the chief of police would be located. Ignoring the confused looks and concerned voices he punched down the chief's office door, his now dark emerald eyes glaring holes into the startled man who immediately stood up at the number one hero's presence.
"Mr. Midoriya, I-I know you're-"
"Where are they?" He said in a low voice, glowing green streams emanating from him with fury and worry as he challenged the man to say anything.
The chief looked at the young hero up and down before seemingly reading his thoughts and threats.
"This way…" the chief said hesitantly, walking past Izuku and out into the main room. At this point anyone who was there had their eyes on the two men, knowing exactly why pro-hero Deku was there and why the chief looked so sullen.
N-now, listen Deku.." That was all the chief could get out before shouldering the man out of the way and swinging the merge door open.
He froze once fully inside the room and was met with your resting body on a metal table. Visually, everything looked completely fine with you. A little disheveled, paling skin colour and your face was tear streaked but nothing more than that.
"T-their sleeping. Tell me they're sleeping." He whispered, his stomach doing flips.
"I'm sorry Mr. Midoriya.." the mortician began dryly, "Y/n's lab results c-came back, and it appears that they suffocated to death due to a quirk that creates a gas c-called phosgene b-but it was mixed with another compound we are unsure of at the moment. But that aids in the gas working so quickly. "
"Did they suffer?"
"E-excuse me?" The mortician questioned, looking at the young man who was now clutching your cold hand in his.
"Did they suffer?" He asked again to her.
"Uh, I-"
"And don't lie to me," He said as the air filled with that buzz of green electricity.
"Y-yes, sir. The gasses caused severe respiratory effects. This means that it disrupts the blood-air barrier to the lungs and the other gas b-basically, once inhaled, tears holes into the lung tissues… causing suffocation… and d-death." The lady squeaks out.
"That's enough," The chief said nodding to the mortician before focusing back on him.
"Mr. Midoriya, we want you to know that they saved all of their colleagues, most are in the hospital recovering as we speak. If it hadn't been for them, we would have lost a lot more from the hero team and even the police force. They dragged everyone out selflessly, even when they knew there was danger."
At this point, Izuku was shaking violently: anger, sadness, and utter despair flowing through his entire body.
"Deku… Mr. Midoriya, I am deeply sorr-"
"NO!" Izuku screamed, causing the chief and the mortician lady to jump.
"They are not dead! That villain can't take them from me! Not like this, they can not die like this! Not now, not ever! He cried out, curling your limp body into his carefully.
He didn't care how desperate and broken he sounded. You were not allowed to leave him, especially like this. Where was his happy ending with you?
"You were supposed to keep your promise Y/n!" He sobbed out. And those sobs rang through the room and the entire police force. Was this the happy ending he deserved?
Thank you for reading, I hope y’all enjoyed it! Have a great day, even after reading all that angst!

The Lost Crown: A Tale of Rebellious Royalty. (Fantasy Au x reader)
Drabble, Characters are 18+
Synopsis: Y/n has been held prisoner by their ruthless uncle. Will they be able to escape tonight?
Word count: 2,128
Includes/mentioned: Toga, Shigaraki, Dabi, Magne, Spinner, Hana, Bakugo.
Key: (T:) - Translation, (e/c) - eye colour, (s/c) - skin colour, (h/c) - have colour.
Warning: Angst and mentions of death.
⚔︎- Chapter One: The Prisoner's Escape-⚔︎
Y/n stood at the tower window, typical, I know. Far down below, the courtyard bustled with busy working people. Unlit lanterns clang gently against the thick stone wall in the swaying motion from the gentle breeze. That same breeze wafted the smell of a whole hog turning slowly on a spit above the fire. An ensemble of performers from the town spun brightly coloured ribbons over their heads. And Y/n knew that inside the castle, players, jugglers, singers, acrobats, and whores waited to do their duties.
The Yami no dōmei (T: Dark Alliance) Stewardess, Himiko Toga, bounced across the courtyard. She threatened a couple of worker boys who were doing more looking than working.
"Hurry up, you useless bloodbags. His Royal Highness will arrive shortly and see you doing absolutely nothing! What do you think he'll do then, huh?" she let out an insane laugh, watching them scramble at the mention of his mere title.
Y/n didn't so much as laugh. Too often they have seen Prince Shigaraki punish those who had mistakenly displeased him. They shake their head at the remembrance of the screams of the punished. Quickly, Y/n thought of safer memories of their mother telling them tales of the great dragons who protect the innocent. Fascinating creatures they were to Y/n, ever since they were a child.
"Today is the day and this time," Y/n thought fiercely, "this time Shigaraki will let me come down from this tower. He must!"
The Maya blue-coloured sky dimmed into a lavender. A shade of pink outlined the black, twisted trees of the forest. Y/n watched the colors of the sky dance together. Looking below once more, the lanterns were now lit. Almost as if they were scaring away the darkness from the courtyard. All was ready. A distant trumpet sounded. A line of ghost-like lights could be seen floating along the forest road.
"He's here! He's here!" shouted Toga.
At the sound of her voice, the drawbridge went down with a low creaking and moaning. The line of lights came closer and revealed torch-lit horseback riders. Some carried torches, while others carried flowing banners. There was a great clatter of hooves and blaring of trumpets as the riders crossed the drawbridge.
Only one man drew his head up slowly towards the tower as the riders thundered into the courtyard. Y/n stepped back so fast that they almost tripped over the rug. As the curtain fell back into place, a shiver racked down their spine before saying to themselves, "I see he has not forgotten me."
The prince came to visit Y/n only once in a blue moon, so every one to two years. And even that was too many times for their liking. During Prince Shigaraki's last visit, Y/n had been denied permission to walk in the corridor outside their room. Remembering this made Y/n hold their chin up high and stubbornly. This visit, Y/n meant to challenge him. They prayed that their courage wouldn't leave them.
Y/n knew The Prince usually stayed for several weeks, entertaining his many guests with brawls, drinking, many acts, and feasting. Then he would return to his court of villains, and what little peace was back to the small palace. Y/n gritted their teeth as they knew that during those several weeks, maybe even tonight, he would seek them out.
Waiting, Y/n paced the floor of their bedroom tower. The fine fabric of silk wisped around their body at each turn. Nervously, they played with the lace that trimmed the silk garment. The hours passed. Laughter and music floated up from the courtyard, but Y/n would not go back to the window. They made themselves sit on an uncomfortable padded stool.
They were still there when the door opened. Magne, who was Y/n warden and maid, ducked inside the room. The man behind her was not as tall but lean with narrow shoulders. But it was his face that drew the focus. It was pale, scratch-littered, with sunken eyes that looked like two blood droplets, and a dark expression.
"Well? Stand up and greet your Prince!" Shigaraki snapped.
Y/n stood up and forced themself to hold their head high in defiance. They met his icy look without flinching, which most cannot do. But Y/n could tell that he was not pleased with what he saw.
"They grow more like their mother every day… How could Hana marry an American is beyond my understanding. Look at their h/c and s/c!"
He made a sound of disgust and moved away from them.
"If they didn't bear the birthmark that Hana did, no one would recognize them as one of us!" he said.
Magne let out a laugh, but she stopped when The Prince spun to glare at her. Y/n remained where they were, they didn't dare speak. They couldn't.
"Still, they have the upbringing and bearing befitting one of royal blood. If they went down amongst the commoners, they just might…" His voice trailed off while he scratched at his neck. "But we'll see that doesn't happen, won't we Magne?"
Yes, My Lord," Magne said.
Y/n looked at her maid with eyes that seemed to blaze e/c. Prince Shigaraki inhaled deeply. He turned away.
"Does they not speak? Toga cut out their tongue?" He asked Magne.
"Yes, they speak," she said sourly. "And it's sharp like a dagger too."
"ah, I see. So, they are stubborn then? Willful?"
"Yes again My Lord. For all the time we've had her, you'd think they were the royal highness." Magne said with a sneer.
Prince Shigaraki frowned. He looked back at Y/n. "They grow like a weed. Soon they will propose a threat to my throne. Something will need to be done… It will be decided before my visit here is done."
Magne threw a barbed glance at Y/n. They felt their dislike for their maid once more and knew that she wouldn't miss the long climb up the tower steps if they were gone.
After one last pensive look at Y/n, Prince Shigaraki stalked out as Magne followed suit by shutting the door. Y/n rushed across their room to the closed door and pressed their cheek against the wood. Their heart sank as they heard the loud click as the door was locked from the outside.
"Someday… sometimes," Y/n promised themselves fiercely, "they'll forget."
Then the hot anger Y/n felt left them, and they slid to the floor. What had Shigaraki meant? Y/n wondered. What would he do to them before he left? Y/n shuddered. All their efforts to escape had ended in embarrassingly quick captures by Shigarki's goons. Now, despite the risks, Y/n knew that they must try again.
Deep in thought, Y/n didn't hear the lock click again. The moving door caught them by surprise. Y/n rolled over quickly to keep from getting hit as it swung open. Magne came back in, muttering to herself. Y/n remained where they were, hidden by the opened door. Sudden hope made their heart skip a beat, and they held their breath.
"Oh dear heart, probably on the bed pouting again," Magne complained.
She saw the food tray across the room and went to go grab it.
"No more climbing those stairs, I'm done my leg day for the night. I will be downstairs enjoying my evening of ale!" She called into the bedroom.
When she didn't get an answer, she grunted. A few more steps lead Magne to the arch that led to Y/n's sleeping quarters. Muttering to herself once more, she peered inside.
For a quick moment, Y/n's body felt glued to the floor. Then suddenly they were up and out the wooden door. One good pull swung that heavy door shut. Y/n used both hands to turn the enchanted quirk-cancelling key. They stopped to listen. They could tell that Magne was pounding on the door. They also knew that no one could hear her. Even in the downtime of the palace, it was hard to hear beyond the thick wood. Tonight would be extremely impossible.
Y/n descended the winding staircase cautiously, even though they felt like rushing down with joy. From previous efforts to escape, they knew that the stairs branched out like roots of a tree in many directions. Y/n took one of the left corridors that led to the art gallery that overlooked the great hall. The noise below was deafening to their ears due to hearing little each day.
Y/n hid behind the folds of the monstrous tapestry. The guests and singer were downstairs but Y/n knew that the singers would soon return to the art gallery for their moments break. Quickly, their e/c eyes scanned the crowd.
Y/n saw no one they could trust. Their father was assassinated by Shigaraki's right-hand man and bounty hunter, Dabi before they were born. And their mother died soon after Y/n's birth. "Uncle" or Prince Shigaraki had kept them locked away and hidden in the palace as they grew older. The servants had been chosen for their loyalty to him. Any guest who happened to catch a quick glimpse of Y/n's face at the window thought that it was a gosht haunting the tower.
Toga had taken great delight in passing along that story. Y/n's mouth curled into a smirk of satisfaction as they thought of the punishment that his servants would get in the morning due to their escape. Their gaze left the guests and went to the servants.
"…Servants…" Y/n muttered to themselves. They watched the servants buzz around, tending to guests. Y/n brows creased in thought.
"They are wearing clothes used only for their work in the palace. Nothing can be taken home… They have to change somewhere, downstairs?" Y/n thought.
Ripping down a tapestry and flipping it around, Y/n made a makeshift cloak. It covered their face and only trailed slightly on the floor. They hurried down the steps and into the throng of people in the great hall, hoping that they would be mistaken for a commoner who provided the acrobatic acts. No one stopped them. Y/n walked quickly out of the great hall and down a lower corridor with the same success. Everyone was too busy working, drinking, and or playing to pay attention to them wandering around. Near the courtyard, they found what they were looking for. On one wall were multiple clothes of different sizes on pegs. Y/n searched around until they found a worn frock and rough shoes, they appeared to belong to someone on the kitchen staff.
Quickly stripping off the cloth they had on now, they pulled on the escape disguise. Y/n crept back down the hallway and stopped long enough to put their silk garments in a deep vase where they would not be found. Then, pulling the cloak back around their face, they slid out the door into the courtyard.
Y/n moved around the fringes of the bustling crowd, keeping to the shadows. Only once did they turn aside to avoid running into Toga and found themself looking directly into the eyes fire breather hired as an act. His ruby-red eyes stood out from the painted mask, they seemed to stare right into Y/n's heart. Y/n stared back, unable to move. Then the crowd shifted, pushing them along. Y/n wriggled and thrust their way back into the shadows. When they looked back, the fire-breather was gone as if he disappeared into thin air.
"Hurry," Y/n told themself over their pounding heart. Desperately they searched for a way out without being detected. That's when they saw a wagon off by itself, being loaded with empty ale barrels. Y/n waited until the men finished loading the wagon and prayed that it would pass the drawbridge unchallenged. The men waved the driver a merry farewell, that's when Y/n scrambled into the back and squeezed themself between the barrels.
Y/n pulled the tapestry completely over their face and became a shadow themself. Y/n lay perfectly still, hardly breathing for fear of getting caught. The wagon rattled and jostled across the courtyard slowly. When the challenge came, Y/n clamped their teeth together to keep them from chattering out loud. Then the granting voice of the gatekeeper, Spinner, came ringing out. Along with a few cheerful insults to the driver. The driver yelled back, roaring with laughter, and the wagon creaked onward through the gate.
The wheels rumbled over the boards and onto the dirt road, leading to the dark forest. As the twisted trees appeared, Y/n jumped into action and slipped out the back of the wagon, dropping to the ground. Triumph tingled through Y/n, pushing away all fear that once resided. Y/n started walking through the tree line and that walking turned into a run.
"I'm free. I-I'm finally free!" Y/n called to the night.
Thanks for reading, hope it was enjoyable!! Make sure to stick around for ⚔︎- Chapter Two: The Dark Forest-⚔︎

Kissing them under the mistletoe
Includes: Izuku Midoriya, Katsuki Bakugou, Shoto Todoroki, Denki kaminari, Ejiro Kirishima, and Sero Hanta.
Warnings: None! (Just some holiday fluff)
Key: (T:) - Translation
Izuku: You caught him by surprise! This man’s face flushes into the brightest red, you're pretty sure he was putting Rudolph’s nose to shame right now. His mind was running a mile a minute, trying to process the sweet little peck you gave him. Izuku might be confused but he sure ain’t complaining about it. It all makes sense to him when you point to the mistletoe hanging above. He smiles once he realizes and kisses you one more time.
Katsuki: He notices the mistletoe before you do. This causes him to curse whoever put it up under his breath and shove his hands deep in his pockets. With a feigned sigh of annoyance, he turns to you and presses a surprisingly soft kiss to your lips. You were left in perfect contentment when he pulled away. A blush dusted his face and the tips of his ears but what stood out was the smirk gracing his lips as he takes in your state of contentment. “Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year extra, that’s the only gift you’ll be getting from me!”
Shoto: ( Let’s start off by saying he didn't understand the concept of kissing under the mistletoe. And to be fair though, he didn't get to experience a typical and happy holiday season.) Clear to say that Shoto is confused but believes it to be a silly yet romantic gesture when you finally explain it to him. Of course since he wasn't used to this tradition, you told him that he “doesn't have to do anything he is not comfortable with.” He surprises you when he gently cups your face with his hands and kisses you. When he pulls back, he shyly asks “like that? Did I do it right?”. By the smile plastered to your lips and the blush making its way on your face, he got his answer quickly. Safe to say that this was defiantly an experience that he would never forget.
Denki: Let’s be honest here, this man probably has mistletoe in his pocket and was just waiting for the right moment to hang it above your head. He’ll defiantly tease you with it, saying “ha, mistletoe! Now... I think I deserve a kiss!” He's a dork but a creative one, gotta give him points on that. You roll your eyes and giggle at his antics before kissing him. You leave him kiss drunk and smiling like a cute idiot.
Ejiro: It’s defiantly safe to say that he had Denki’s help setting up mistletoe around the place like a booby trap, just in hopes of getting the chance to kiss you. Of course once he catches you under a mistletoe he pretends like he didn't set it up. “Wow, would you look at that....Mistletoe! And it just so happens that we are standing under it. Are you gonna kiss me E?” You tease the shark boy. “Hahaha, what a coincidence! Well, it is a Christmas tradition and who am I to go against that. Plus, kissing is manly!” He laughs, striking his signature pose. You shake you head before pulling him in by his shirt, noting that he turned the same colour as his hair. “Guess you're right, who are we to go against tradition” You say near his lips before kissing them.
Sero: He defiantly knew where the mistletoe was hung. Sero by far is the smoothest out of all the guys, gently taking you by the hand and leading you to were there is mistletoe. He is obversely flustered but doesn't show it when he cradles your face and says “puedo besarte y posiblemente más?” (T: Can I kiss you and possibly more?). Even if you don't understand, you nod your head eagerly. His kiss is sweet and leaves you giddy. He flashes you with that signature smile before turning on his heel and walking away like a love sick puppy dog.
Thanks for reading, I hope you all have a wonderful holiday season!!

Just Smile. (Shinso x reader)
Drabble, Characters are 18+
Synopsis: During a mission you save another persons life but at what cost?
Word count: 2,313
Key: (Y/n) - Your name, (Y/h/n) - Your hero name, (e/c) - eye colour, (s/o) - significant other, (s/c) - skin colour
Warnings: Angst, Injuries, blood, death, swearing
Shinso grunted as civilians rushed past, bumping into him as they ran. He couldn't blame them for rushing or for the panic. There had just been a random villain attack.
''This way! Don't worry, everything is alright!'' He calls out, mask in hand. He made sure to make his voice come out steady or well as steady as he could. You, Denki, and Shinso were sent on this mission together. Shinso had taken the job of helping bring down the villain who had been wreaking havoc. On the other hand, you and Denki went off to help civilians get out of the areas crumbling due to the warpath. The focus was more on getting everyone to safety rather than taking the villain at large down.
''Y/n! Come on, let's go!'' He yells out to you. You hear Shinso's call and start to run towards him but stop in your tracks as you hear a heart-wrenching wail.
''Y/n?''
''There's someone still in there!'' You yell, running into an abandoned building, eyes frantically darting around the debris.
''Mommy?! Daddy?! Where are you?''
You whip your head around in the direction of the sound of a small child calling for their mother and father.
Denki was directing the civilians when the low moaning of metal caught his ear. The metal beams of the tall building you are in were making these sounds. His eyes frantically scan for you inside the building.
Bending down, you pick up a young boy littered with scraps. That's when you heard the same low, creaking of metal.
''Shinso!'' Denki yelled out to him, pointing to the building. The purpled-haired boy's face pales in the direction the electric boy is pointing.
''Y/n get out of there now! The whole building is coming down!!" He yells, dropping his mask and starting to run for the entrance of the crumbling building.
You start running, eyes flicking to the small boy in your arms clutching your hero suit. A piece of falling ceiling comes crashing down onto your right shoulder and is followed by searing pain.
''Argh!'' You hiss out, stumbling just a bit. Regaining your footing, you keep going.
Some brave civilians try to grab at Shinso's hero uniform or arms to try and stop him from going back into the danger. Fore, they thought this would end up being a suicide mission.
Your eyes flick to his frantic purple ones, then to your surroundings. The building was coming down too fast, and you knew it. You try to speed up, ignoring the searing pain of your shoulder, the ache of your legs, and the screaming of your lungs.
''H-Hitoshi!!"
He rips away from the hands holding him back and breaks off into a sprint.
''Catch!!'' You earnestly yell.
The building came crashing to the ground with a deafening bang, kicking up dust and spraying rubble and glass shards everywhere. Once the dust cleared and Shinso got his bearings, he realized he was tightly clutching the boy you once held.
''Y/h/n?? Y/n!?'' He yells out, looking around at the sullen faces of the civilians. The sound of his heartbeat was the only thing pounding in his ears. He snapped out of it when a medic tried to take the boy from his arms but wouldn't let go.
''Uh...I-it's ok little one. They won't hurt you, I promise. They want to make sure you are alright before they bring you back to your family...O-ok? He asks.
The little boy nods before reluctantly letting the medic take him away.
''Y/n!! He yells out once more. A sinking feeling started to form in his stomach. Denki gently touches his arm, making him whirl around to face him.
''Kaminari, w-where are they?''
''They...they didn't make it out dude. The whole place came down after they tossed you the kid.''
No, he had to be wrong. Y/n came out before the place came crashing down, he screamed in his head.
''Take care of the civilians Chargebolt, make sure their safe. I'm going back in to find Y/n.''
''Shinso,-''
''I swear if you say wait for back up or don't go at all, I will brainwash you...Understand? He says lowly.
''Understood, but I wasn't going to. I was going to say find and bring them back. Y/n is strong...They're my best friend! They'll be ok...they have to be.'' He mutters out that last bit.
Shinso nods before turning and heading towards what's left of the fallen building. He started to move wooden planks, chunks of concrete, and fallen metal beams. The panic built while he searched for you, each piece of rubble he moved became a more frantic movement.
''Y/n!''
Still no answer.
''Ugghh'' You groan out and opened your eyes; everything hurt, especially your lower abdomen and the multiple bones that you could feel were broken.
You tried to stand from your laying position on the cold floor but almost pass out from the excruciating pain. That's when you take in your physical state... Injured shoulder, shards of glass sticking out of places that they shouldn't be, probably bruises as well, and a long metal rod sticking straight out from your lower left side of the abdomen.  You attempted to turn your head, which resulted in you letting out a wince but you were able to gawk at your surroundings which were leaking pipes, glass everywhere, and metal beams.
''Crap!'' You mutter out before looking away due to the room slightly spinning. You close your eyes and take deep breaths. In through your nose and out your mouth. With the utmost care, you manage to reach your hand to feel the lower left part of your back.
''Damn it...Damn it...Damn it!! It went straight through.'' You curse out, removing your hand to reveal fresh blood. Fear and panic started to rush through you.
''Y/n!!''
You freeze. Were you hallucinating?
''I'm h-here, please! I'm right here!'' You yell, throat straining. A few moments after, there was no sound and your heart fell instantly. You allowed your eyes to close and your head to slump to the side in defeat.
Your face is turned and cradled with warm but rough hands. Your eyes flutter open to reveal Shinso inches from your face.
''Hitoshi'' You muster a pained smile, tears rolling freely now.
''I'm right here, shh...It's ok...it's ok. Don't talk, I'm gonna get you out of here and to the paramedics. You'll be ok!" He says while pulling out his communicator.
You zone out as he frantically talks into the communicator but it was something along the lines of "I found them....hurt..... halfway."
He rushes to move you, which in return brings you back to reality as you scream out in pain.
"Please d-don't. It hurts!" you cried out.
"I know, I know b-but I have to...I have to get you out of here Y/n. I-I need to hurry, the paramedics are only able to come halfway due to the rubble, please Y/n I-"
"Hitoshi....please stop" You whisper.
"No! I can't, we're wasting time, we gotta... if we-"
"Stop!" You say more forcefully, now clutching his hand closest to you. He meets your eyes, his now glassing over.
“I-I know I'm not getting out of here. Heh, you know it too but thank you for the hope. M-my wound is too bad and my body is too mangled” You say before coughing with a wince, a trickle of blood appearing at the corner of your mouth. You're hearing was cutting in and out too, your body is undergoing a rapid round of shock due to your current injured state, which is impairing your senses.
He drops to his knees and rests his hand on your cheek, cringing as he uses the pad of his thumb to wipe the thin trickle of blood from your mouth.
“You shouldn't have sacrificed yourself...It's selfish”
“I'll give up my life for others to be safe, give it up for the cause. Isn't that the most selfless thing one can do? What a hero would do?”
“Well, these others need you alive...the cause needs you alive still. I need... Don't go thinking you can escape your future..destiny.. uh...w-whatever! You can't escape it through death Y/n.”
You swallowed, your e/c eyes leaving his frantic purple ones and falling to the jagged glass shards sticking out funnily from your visible skin. The feeling in your legs was slowly leaving you.
Your lips twitched into a small smile before looking back at him.
“I wouldn't dream of it Hitoshi. Especially not with you here depending on me to save you all the time but don't worry, I won't take you with me like usual” You say, trying to muster a smile from him. At this point, a cold sensation was making its way through your body.
“I can hear your sarcasm, it's not fucking funny. It's actually the absolute worst time to make a joke” He cries out, sobs starting to rack through his body.
“And I can hear your desperation but can't you see....I-I'm also scared?” You sadly say with a wobbling smile, your vision was now coming in and out. The young man in front of you was blurring and unblurring.
He couldn't speak, he felt as if the very air from his lungs was stolen. All he could do was drop his hands to grab yours gently, resting his lips on them in a lingering kiss. You stayed silent. You could feel your life coming to an end...Shinso shook because he could feel it too. He could feel it, your hands were much colder than what he's used to. The hands he held to go anywhere, the hands that gently touched his body, the hands that always wiped his tears away. You felt tears threaten to spill over again and wouldn't allow them, instead you took a shuddering breath before pulling your hands from his weakly. He stiffened as you rose your hands to his face and gently cupped his cheeks.
"Come on Hitoshi...I-I don't want the last thing I see is you crying over m-me. P-please show me your smile." You ask quietly.
"Y/n I-I am about to lose you...my s/o...Why would I be smiling?" He asks with a hint of rage mixed with sorrow in his voice.
"P-please...for me, just smile." You say desperately, the strange but strong metallic taste in your mouth making your stomach lurch.
"Please b-baby...I really want to see your smile..."
He stared at you and couldn't ignore your heart-filled request. Reluctantly his trembling lips twitched into a smile and with that, you smiled back at him. He watched as tears slipped down your s/c cheeks. Shinso shook.
"Don't...don't go. I need you! Please don't..."
You felt yourself slipping into peaceful darkness as your vision faded, your body was stiffening but you slowly allowed your eyes to shut.
"Hey, keep your eyes open for me Y/n...Please! Help, help, someone please help me! He yelled, looking all around for some sign of hope.
Your heart shattered at the sound of utter despair and heartbreak in his voice. You honestly tried your hardest to open your eyes but your strength had run out. Your hands were getting heavy, and they fell from his cheeks. Shinso froze and caught them before they could fall all the way, using his to hold yours in place where they were on his cheeks before. Noting how the warmth was leaving them rapidly.
"H-hey, come on now baby!! Come o-"
Shinso felt his heart rip out of his chest as his eyes slid down to your chest which had stilled.
"Y/n?.....Y/n!?"
You didn't respond to him. You had already passed on.
Shinso stared at your unmoving features before he dropped your hands and pulled you up into his body, sitting there with your lifeless frame in his arms. He started to slowly rock back and forth with you limp against his chest, not caring about the glass shards cutting him or the feeling of your blood seeping into his hero costume.
"Come on Y/n, open your eyes!! S-show me your smile please baby....Please don't say goodbye like this.."
A sob ripped its way out of his throat, his entire body shaking.
"Y/n!!" He cried out with his face buried in your hair. His grip on your body was like hot iron, he knew you would have scolded him about being gentler and then kicked his ass.
He pulled back so that he can look at your face and gently stroke your cheek with his hand. You were so cold against him, that it made his chest ache.
"We were supposed to spend our lives together...That's why I put that engagement ring in your work locker so that when we finished today you would be surprised when I ask you to marry me. Please Y/n....Please..wake up!"
"Y/n!!!!!!"
Thank for reading, I hope y’all enjoyed! Have a great day, even after reading all that angst!

Wanted to let you know that just because you speak in a different language, doesn't mean that I don't know when you're cursing me out. (Sero x reader)
Drabble, Characters are 18+
Synopsis: Sero comes home after a long night of hero work, you help him address his injuries
Word count: 1,216
Key: (Y/n) - Your name, (T:) - translation, (s/o) - significant other, (p/h) - preferred hand
Warnings: Injuries, blood, fluff, and swearing
Sero stumbled through the front door as quietly as possible, grimacing as he leaned against the nearest wall.
''Joder quÊ noche tan dura! '' (T: ''Damn, what a hard night!") he mutters out to himself while closing the front door softly.
The kitchen stove light was still on, giving the atmosphere a warm buttery glow. He made his way into the kitchen, steadying himself with the help of the breakfast counter. Turning ever so slightly to make his way to the kitchen table, the pain from his right ankle licked up his leg like flames and caused him to hiss. Trying to put not too much weight on his ankle, he manages to drop into a kitchen chair and bow his head so that it's resting on the cool surface of the table. The only sound audible was the sounds of his deep breathing, which he was so focused on that he didn't hear the soft steps of his s/o.
'Lord, Sero! What the hell happened?'' You say, flicking on the kitchen light.
He lifts his head from the table and attempts one of those wide-signatures smiles to reassure you that he was fine, but he knew that you saw right through him. You drew closer, worry lines forming on your forehead as you took in his injuries.
''Nada mi amor...s'nothing, I'm fine.'' (T: ''Nothing my love'') He says while smiling, reaching his hand out for yours. You shake your head as you take his hand, allowing him to pull you close.
''Babe?'' You say, moving his matted hair off his dirt and blood-covered face.
''Sí?'' (T: ‘’Yes?’’)
''I love you, but let's face it.'' You withdrew your hand from his and held his face, forcing him to look at you before continuing. ''You are a terrible liar.''
He chuckles as he caves in, leaning toward your palms.
''Come on, let's get you cleaned up...Yeah?
He nods in agreement and lets you cautiously lead him to the bathroom in your shared bedroom. You had him take a shower to wash all that blood and grime off. While he was showering off, you grabbed him clean clothes and placed them on the bathroom counter before grabbing the first aid kit.
''Y/n?'' He calls from the bathroom
''Coming, I just had to grab the first aid kit that's in the hall closet.'' You call back.
He is drying off his hair when you walk back into the bathroom, sporting no shirt and grey sweat pants that hung dangerously low on his lean muscular body.
''Te gusta lo que ves bebe~?'' (T: ‘’You like what you see baby?’’) He asks, lowering the towel.
''I....I-I...Shut up and sit down, you're injured!'' You huff out, face burning.
He winks at you before taking a seat on the edge of the bathtub, slinging the towel on the tub beside him.
''You know you don't have to do this...I can do it and join you in a minute'' He sighs, staring at your turned back while you open up the first aid kit.
''It's alright babe, I want to help.'' You say, smiling faintly
You turn back around with a cotton swab dipped in alcohol and a couple of bandaids of different sizes in hand. Sero spreads his legs further so you can stand between them and so he can wrap his arms loosely around your waist.
''This might sting a little.'' You say, gently grabbing his jaw and dabbing the gash on his forehead. Sero cringed at the pain, hugging you a little tighter and exhaling through his nose.
''Do you want to tell me what happened out there tonight?'' You question him, tossing the used cotton swab in the garbage and starting to unpeel a bandaid.
''I was on patrol, as you know, spent the whole night tracking down algún villano idiota (T: ‘’Some idiot villain’’). I finally found it. But it had grabbed some civilians and was holding them hostage. I had to hold it off from escaping and from hurting the hostages while my partner on patrol caught up to help me deal with it.'' He says, drumming his thumbs lightly on your hips.
He was all bandaged up when he finished telling you of his night, from the gash on his forehead to the tiny cuts on his arms and legs.
''You are a great hero, Cellophane. Many innocent people got to go home and be with their loved ones because of you. I am proud of you, truly.'' You say sweetly.
''Yeah? Hmmm...I think this hero could use some compensation.''
You rest your arms on his shoulder, making you closer to him than before. Your p/h finds long black hair at the base of his neck, going to the roots you give a gentle tug. He closes his eyes as his head tilts back, neck exposed. You kiss up to his neck, feeling his pulse jump. Right as you got to his lips you stopped.
''I still need to check your ankle'' You whisper to him, letting his hair go and backing up. He looks at you, blinking owlishly and lips slightly parted.
''Diablo descarado." (T: ‘’Cheeky devil’’) He chuckles lowly, shaking his head.
You give him a smug smile before you guide him to sit down on the bed. ''I'm going to apply pressure around your ankle and feel if anything is out of its place.'' You tell him
''Pfffft, it won't hurt that bad. My ankle is fi-''
Sero never did finish his sentence due to you applying pressure to his ankle.
''Hijo de las mil putas! QuĂŠ demonios punk sin corazĂłn! Advertir a un hombre, por favor.'' ( T: ''Son of a thousand whores! What the hell heartless, punk?! Warn a man, please.") He gets out through gritted teeth.
''Sorry! I saw the opportunity of you being distracted... talking about how fine you are, and I took it. I don't think it's broken because you can still feel the pain, and nothing is misshapen. Plus, the pain appears to be on the soft spot of your ankle, which indicates that it is just a terrible sprain. I'm going to get ice for you, don't try to go anywhere, or I'll break the other ankle!'' You say, cheerfully getting up.
You grabbed an ice pack from the freezer and a clean tea towel to wrap it in. Sero was in the same position you left him, sitting on the bed and now scrolling through his phone. You handed him the wrapped ice pack before crawling on the bed and leaning against the headboard, motioning for him to rest his head on our chest. He pocketed his phone, snuggled into you, and put the ice pack on his ankle. The sigh that came from the man was one of relief.
After a while of you playing with his hair and getting to listen to your heartbeat, Sero's eyes began to flutter closed.
''Babe?''
Sero hummed while peeking an eye open to look at you.
''Wanted to let you know that just because you speak in a different language, doesn't mean that I don't know when you're cursing me out. Just a reminder, ok?'' You giggle out.
''MuĂŠrdeme'' ( T: ''Bite me") He says before capturing your lips in a passionate kiss, which you instantly respond and melt into.
Thanks for reading, hope it was enjoyable!!

Since all my thoughts and every decision started to revolve around you (Kirishima x reader)
Synopsis: After being strung along and rejected by your childhood crush, maybe it’s time to let someone else in your life
Drabble
Word count: 1,627
Key: (y/n)- your name, (f/c)- favourite colour, (e/c)- eye colour
Warnings: Fluff
You looked at the mirror and tilted your head, while staring aimlessly at the reflection before you. It was UA's prom night, and you had gone for a f/c formal outfit. It fitted you in all the right places, and yet a sigh seemed to escapes your lips. ''This is stupid...I'm going to prom without a date!'' You say, shaking your head.
Indeed, you didn't have a date, not like you would say yes to just anyone. Not unless it was Izuku Midoriya, your childhood best friend and crush. But he strung you along, rejected your feelings. And to top it off, he was taking Uraraka instead. It broke your heart when he told you how he asked her to be his date, but you forced a smile to congratulate him through gritted teeth. It was ironic that you had fallen in love with your childhood best friend. The sudden knock at your dorm door startles you. You turned, your eyes meeting with a smiling and dressed-up Kirishima leaning against the doorframe.
 ''Kiri, you scared me!’’
Kirishima pushed himself off the door frame and walked over to you. ''Sorry, wasn't my intention to scare you...that wasn't very manly of me!’’ He says, rubbing the back of his neck.
''It's fine. May I ask what I did to deserve your presence? Don't you have to go get your date?'' You question him looking back in the mirror, trying to hide the hurt you get knowing that you're going alone.
''I...uh...I actually came here to ask you to be my date Y/n.'' You stare at his reflection in the mirror, shocked.
''Listen...You're my friend. I could see how upset you were about Midoriya stringing you along and rejecting your feelings. It was really unmanly of him to toy with your feeling like that. I thought why don't we go together, as friends if that makes you feel better. A-and show him what he's missing out on.'' You turn fully to look at him.
''Y-you'd do that for me?''
''Of course, I would. I don't like seeing you upset Y/n, your smile brings m- uh, everyone joy. Now milady.'' He bows dramatically before coming back up to offer his hand. ''Shall we?'' You smile at his toothy grin before clasping his hand in yours.
 ''We shall good sir."
Kirishima walked you out of your dorm and towards the school's gym. The walk over was peaceful, and you noted that he never let go of your hand, stroking his thumb over your knuckles affectionately.
''Hey y/n?'' Kirishima asks, slowing down before the doors of the gym.
''Yes?''
‘’I uh...Heh, I got a corsage/boutonniere for you.'' He then let go of your hand to pat down every pocket on his suit.
''Ok, so this is super embarrassing, but I forgot it in my dorm room. I was going to put it in my pocket, but explosion boy yelled at me because it would get crushed. So, while I was rushing over because I didn't want to miss you... Ok, a long story short, I kinda maybe left it on my desk.’’ You start laughing at how cute and flustered he is. His face turning the same shade as his dyed hair.
''Aw thank you Eijiro, that's very sweet of you! It's alright that you forgot it, people usually say it's the thought counts anyway.''
‘'No, no! Tonight needs to be perfect for you, I'll quickly run back to my dorm room and grab it!!'’
'’I-it's alright!'' you try to say, but your words have fallen on deaf ears as he sprints away. You smile to yourself before closing your eyes, leaning against the cool wall, and listening to the music blasting through the gym doors.
''Y/n!! Aren't you coming in?" asks Hagakure, who is a floating dress with heels next to Ojiro. They were both heading towards the gym doors. You smile sweetly at them.
'' Hey guys, I'll be heading inside in just a moment... Waiting for my date.''
''Aw, how sweet! Guess we'll see you in there!’’ And with that Hagakure pulls Ojiro into the gym. As the doors are closing you lock eyes with a familiar pair of green ones.
''Crap!'' You mutter under your breathe, looking elsewhere. In a few seconds, a head of green curls bounces out the door.
''Hey Y/n.... what are you doing out here all by yourself? It’s kinda sad.''
''Oh...Hey Izuku, I'm not by myself. I-''
''Hey! Sorry about that, I finally got it.'' You turn thankful to see Kirishima walking up to you now. He pulls you into a side hug before handing you the corsage/boutonniere.
''Thanks, Eijiro!'' You say, taking the corsage/boutonniere and leaning into his side for comfort.
''O-oh hey Kirishima! I didn't know you had asked Y/n out as your prom date.'' Izuku stutters out.
''Yup! Pretty lucky too, look how amazing and manly Y/n looks! You glance at Kirishima, and he is looking at you like you are his everything. A blush creeps up on your face. Before Izuku could respond, Kirishima interrupted him.
''Well, I need to show Y/n off to the entire world! Would you care to dance?’’ He asks, detaching from the side hug to offer you his arm.
''Gladly!'' Hooking your arm through his and not paying any attention to the freckled boy, you enter the gym. The gym was all decked out with streamers, twinkling lights, balloons, and a disco ball hanging in the middle of the room. You spotted Sensei Aizawa laying on the bleachers in his usual yellow sleeping bag. All Might at the banquet table. And not too far away, you spotted Ms. Midnight dragging away a squirming Present Mic from harassing the young Dj. You wave to your friends, and out of your peripherals, you are pretty sure you saw Kirishima flex to the Bakusquad. Soon the both of you joined other students on the dance floor.
''I thought you were joking about dancing!'' You yell above the music so he can hear you.
''Why would I be joking?'' He yells back, a look of confusion.
''I-I can't dance!''
''What?''
''I said I can't dance Kiri!" You yell, looking awkwardly around at others dancing flawlessly. Well...everyone except Denki, who is trying to attempt the worm and failing miserably.
''Thank God because neither can I!'' He laughs out. You end up laughing with him, a lightness filling your chest. The two of you soon got into the rhythm of the dance in no time. You were actually having fun, but you could feel eyes burning into the back of your head. Weird enough, whenever you looked around there was no one looking at you. A slow song began to play, and Kirishima softly smiled before placing his right hand on your waist while offering you his left. You place your right hand on his shoulder and take his other hand with your left, swaying gently to the music. After a while, he breaks the silence.
''Y/n?''
''Hmm?'' You hum out, swaying with your eyes closed.
''You know how people fall in love without reason, without even wanting to? How you can't predict it?''
You open your eyes and realize just how close you are to him. So close that you can smell his cologne, see the tiny scar above his right eye, and feel how fast his heart is racing. You swallow before answering him.
''That's how love works, I guess.''
'' I-'' Kirishima stopped talking and glared at someone farther behind you. You looked behind you and see that he was glaring at Izuku, who looked rather annoyed.
''Why is he staring at us?" You ask, turning back to Kirishima.
''I think he might be annoyed.'' He says, glaring at Izuku but eyes softening when looking back at you.
''Annoyed? Come on Kiri, what does he have to be annoyed about...hmm?''
''I'll explain better, somewhere quieter though. Wanna get out of here?'' You nod before absentmindedly taking his hand, letting him lead you off the dance floor and out of the school. The cool night air was refreshing, you sigh deeply.
''Ok Kiri, can you explain why he's annoyed please.’’
''I think he's annoyed because, for most of the night, you weren't trailing him with those beautiful e/c eyes of yours. You weren't fake laughing next to him to keep him happy. You aren't appearing heartbroken in the slightest, especially for someone who was rejected.''
He was right...Kirishima was right, Izuku hadn't crossed your mind all night.
''If I...'' Kirishima trailed off with a sigh. ''If I told you...that I discovered that I love you...What would you say?'' Your eyes widen in surprise.
'' I-I would ask when did you discover this.''
Kirishima moved closer to you with a smile, pulling off his tux jacket and draping it on your shoulders while he simply whispered to you.
''Since all my thoughts and every decision started to revolve around you.’’
The memory of how you were being strung along and rejected by Izuku was soon fading into the beautiful night Kirishima provided you with. Your body moved before your brain could comprehend. You cupped his face, and your lips brushed against his softly. He tilted his head, nose brushing against your cheek, and carefully kissed back. Everything about Kirishima is warm and comforting to you. You both end up resting your foreheads together after having to part for breath.
''Go out with me y/n...go out with me and forget completely about Midoriya.'' You pecked his lips.
‘’I think that will suffice as my answer...Walk me home Red Riot?’’
Kirishima smiled brightly before taking your hand in his. The walk back to your dorm room was peaceful, and when you kissed him goodnight, he vowed to always tressure you... Annnnnd rub the fact that you're his in Izuku's face.
Hey y’all, Just wanted to say thanks for reading...Hope you enjoyed it!

The explosive blonde slammed the front door of your house behind him with such force that it rattled your framed wedding photos that were hanging on the wall. You were used to him doing this after a long day of hero work, but it still startled you a little.
''Hey Suki, welcome home! I'll be out in a minute!" You called happily from the bedroom, hurriedly adding the finishing touches to your surprise gift: no answer. Confused at no response, you head to the entrance. You greeted him with a ''hey, you!", he gave a low hum and went back to taking off his dirtied work boots. Standing there for a minute, you study his facial features. It wasn't odd for your husband to wear that signature scowl, but this time it had you wondering if he was having a bad day. Or was he generally upset about something else? You wait patiently, while he finishes with his boots before leaning towards him expectantly, ready for your hello hugs and kisses. But all you get is a glance before he trudges further into the house towards the kitchen. Fixing your faltering smile, you follow him, brushing off the pang of pain in your chest. In the kitchen he grabs a bottled water from the fridge, slamming that door too.
You slither your arms around his torso, "So, I thought we could order something from your favourite restaurant tonight. You know, the one with all the spicy ramen that completely melts every taste bud off. Um... Does that sound alright? I actually have a special su-''. You were silenced by him simply walking out of your grasp and plopping down on the recliner in the living room, flicking on the tv. ''I-I guess I’ll order our food now then’’.
''It's obviously past dinner time y/n, I just got home and expected the food to be ready. So yes, order the damn food now. God, you are so fucking stupid sometimes''. You stiffened at his reaction. You told yourself he was in a bad mood and had a bad day while ordering the dinner from the restaurant. By the time you got off the phone with the restaurant, he was still staring at the glowing tv screen and it looked like he may have relaxed just a bit. You smile softly and make your way to him, gently rubbing his shoulders before resting your hands on his collar bones. Hoping this will add to him relaxing and calming down more. He practically jumped out of the recliner and spun on his heel to face you. ''What the hell are you doing?'' he questions in a dangerously low tone.
''I was going to give you a message. W-well,’’ you sigh before continuing, ‘’I thought it wou-''
‘’I didn't ask for your fucking help y/n, just leave me the hell alone!’’
''You.... self-centred, egotistical, pompous, microphallus, pig headed jerk!'' you spit out, completely frustrated with his attitude today.
"What did you call me?!"
''I-I don't understand you somedays Katsuki. I'm not bothering you when I cook you dinner or when I mend your hero suit, when...when...Shoot!" you yell angrily, trying the best to keep your tears from spilling out.
''It's shit, y/n," he says turning away, rolling his eyes.
''Shit...shit...shit,” you take a bow while he's turned, ‘’there are you fucking happy Katsuki?!”
''Look at you, using your fancy words at me. You've certainly grown up y/n! If you've grown up then why are you so damn clingy then, huh? Like a fucking child, if I wanted someone as clingy I would have proposed and married Deku! God, just shut the hell up and quit bothering me!” Bakugou yells with his one hand slightly raised, turning back in time to see your face fall.
That was the last straw, you step back. ''I'm going to bed now. You can pick up the food if you are hungry, I seemed to have lost my appetite...Goodnight'' you turn fast and rush to the bedroom.
He called out a ''wait-'' but it fell on deaf ears and was instead met with the sound of the bedroom door closing.
The sound of the door closing hurt him, it especially hurt him more because you had closed the door gently instead of slamming it like he would have done. He knew that he had royally messed up. Gritting his teeth, he ran a hand through his spiky hair. He sighed and turned off the tv. Going to the front door first to lock it before moving around the house to turn off all the lights. Padding his way around the moonlit house until he was greeted with the closed bedroom door. He lifted a fist to knock but paused the moment he heard you sniffling. Resting his forehead on the door, he closed his eye. He took a couple of deep breaths before opening his eyes and gently knocking.
"Go away Katsuki". No cute or fun nickname was used, he mentally noted that. He entered your shared bedroom to find you laying on your side of the bed, under the covers with the lights out. Closing the door as gently as he possible could, he made his way to the bed. He sat on his side of the bed, pulling his shirt off first before removing the rest of his hero attire. This left him in a pair of plain boxers. He shifted behind you before getting under the covers, sliding his arms around you slowly as if to not spook you. You stiffened but didn't pull away when he pulled you against his chest.
''I was and am a self-centered, egotistical, pompous, microphallus...Whatever that means’’ he mutters out.
You sniffle and simple say ‘’micophallus means that you have an abnormally small penis‘’.
It was silent for a while after your comment. Bakugou coughs before continuing on with ending that previous sentence. ‘’Uh...ok...microphallus, pig headed jerk. Also I was an asshole and a shitty husband. I'm sorry. I-I...I let a villain get away today because I was too cocky and I was pissed because of it. That is no excuse for my actions and attitude towards you though. I can't believe I let my anger get the best of me. In all honesty, I don't deserve a wife like you. You're not stupid, clingy, annoying, and you don't ever bother me.''
After what seemed like forever to Bakugou, you turned in his arms to press your face against his warm chest. ''I shouldn't have said those things about you either'' you say quietly to him at which he gives a bark of laughter.
''Baby, you were just stating facts...to a degree but It's alright, I'll get over it. Trust me, I'll live. But... Do you forgive me, baby...please? It won't happen again, I promise to be the better husband that you deserve!" he says fingers dancing up and down your back. You sigh, the warmth of your breath fanning over his chest. His eyes flutter close, awaiting your response but his hand never stilled.
''Yes, I forgive you because it's not very good for mommy to be upset with daddy,'' you say lifting your head so that you're looking directly at him. He hummed, his hand finally stilling on the small of your back. ''Heh, yeah...Can’t have mo... Wait, what the hell did you just say?" His eyes are fully open know.
''I said... That mommy shouldn't be upset with daddy''. Bakugou is now sitting up with his back resting against the headboard and pulling you to straddle him, searching your face.
Still trying to register what was happening, he manages to stutter out something along the lines of ''A-are..we...are y-you?"
You reach over to grab the small present bag on your nightstand table and flick on the lamp. ''This is the surprise I was talking about before, but I doubt you heard me...Well, here you go, boom-boom boy!''
He took the gift and opened it. Out he pulled a white onesie that read ''I'm sweet like my mommy and a firecracker like my daddy''. He gave a light chuckle. He then pulled out a wrapped-up pregnancy test, he stared at the two-line for a while. ''Suki?' you question, resting a hand on his shoulder and lifting his chin gently to look him in the eyes.
''I....I'm going to be a dad" he whispers out finally, a small smile gracing his lips. You let the tear stream freely while nodding. He moves aside the gift before wrapping his arms around you, keeping you as possibly close as he can while speaking gentle words of affection. Pulling away, he gently strokes your head before planting a kiss to your forehead. ‘’Baby...You are going to be the best mom ever and I will protect you both, that's a promise’’
That night Bakugou held you close and kept true to his word of protecting you and the baby. But also to improve every day to become the husband that you deserve.
Hey y’all, just wanted to say thanks for reading! Let me know what you think or if you have any other ideas.
