can’t currently afford the print copy of the fabulous @lackadaisycats work?
maybe your local library will buy it in the meantime! hand for scale.

reading a hard copy of what I found years ago on the internet is cool in its own right, but the over 20 pages of bonus content are what’s really tempting.

note about the back cover: this is what was facing out as I carried the book in my arm out of the library and into the streets. certainly didn’t make me look like a psycho I’m sure.

the reason I don’t write much even though I like writing, is the same reason I don’t sing much even though I like singing.
I don’t like the sound of my own voice.

i thought the wikipedia article on melville would skirt around this or cover it up, but:
Robertson-Lorant writes that Melville was "infatuated with Hawthorne's intellect, captivated by his artistry, and charmed by his elusive personality," but "the friendship meant something different to each of them," with Hawthorne offering Melville "the kind of intellectual stimulation he needed". They may have been "natural allies and friends," yet they were also "fifteen years apart in age and temperamentally quite different" and Hawthorne "found Melville's manic intensity exhausting at times". [106]
Bezanson identifies "sexual excitement" in all the ten letters Melville wrote to the older man. [107] In the essay on Hawthorne's Mosses, Melville wrote: "I feel that this Hawthorne has dropped germinous seeds into my soul. He expands and deepens down, the more I contemplate him; and further, and further, shoots his strong New-England roots into the hot soil of my Southern soul."
history will not say they were just friends.

totally crazy example to use to demonstrate The Comparative Loneliness Epidemic Of The Twenty-First Century. melville was lonely as hell just jerking it unreciprocated to nathaniel hawthorne every night. that's a different thing

So a free tool called GLAZE has been developed that allows artists to cloak their artwork so it can't be mimicked by AI art tools.
AI art bros are big mad about it.

Sometimes fanfiction is a love letter to canon, and sometimes fanfiction is pounding on canon's door and yelling for it to get out here so you can kick its ass.

Happy Year of the Dragon!
I love the idea of kintsugi so here's a porcelain dragon that highlights the broken seams with gold. Despite all the pains of hardships in life, we are beautiful.

Heavenly Tyrant preorder links, please consider getting it if you want to see it released within 2024 because no matter the interpersonal drama, sales numbers talk and will prevent me from getting sued for damages lmao
Also I suspect there's a coordinated smear campaign against me because people have been telling me they're seeing these same copy paste talking points against me in a bunch of places, particularly Reddit and Tumblr, so please give my side of the story if you see it in the wild. Tired of blatantly false bullshit being spread about me.

So I've been seeing A LOT of my art stolen and sold as diamond paintings, such as by the thieves at Sparkle Studio.
Only the Diamond Art Club has official license rights to sell my art as diamond paintings. If you see it elsewhere, it's stolen, and please do not buy them.

Death of the author: Treating the author’s stated interpretation of their own work as merely one opinion among many, rather than the authoritative Word of God.
Disappearance of the author: Treating the context and circumstances of the work’s authorship as entirely irrelevant with respect to its interpretation, as though the work had popped into existence fully formed just moments ago.
Taxidermy of the author: Working backwards from a particular interpretation of the work to draw conclusions about what the context and circumstances of its authorship must have been.
Undeath of the author: Holding the author personally responsible for every possible reading of their work, even ones they could not reasonably have anticipated at the time of its authorship.
Frankenstein’s Monster of the author: Drawing conclusions about authorial intent based on elements that are present only in subsequent adaptations by other authors.
Weekend at Bernie’s of the author: Insisting that the author would personally endorse your interpretation of the work if they happened to be present.
