▪ Grand Escape by Rachel Blaufeld review ▪

Thank you to @netgalley for allowing me to read and review this book! 💛 • Review: Grand Escape showed how difficult love can be, which I really liked as it brought a more realistic feel to the relationship between the two characters! The relationship between them felt a bit, and when I say a bit I mean TINY, rushed, but other than that they had a decent bond that was developed over the course of the book 🦋 I loved Rylan, one of the main characters, because her personality was different and I felt like Rachel Blaufeld presented her character really well. Her development was described in a great way toward the end, you as the reader could actually see how she had changed, (in a good way of course!). As for Adam, I did like his character, he was sophisticated and had that usual charm that no reader can be immune to 😉 Both of them had great humour, which I adore in a book! It just adds that extra pizzazz to a story, and I, at times, laughed out loud while reading the book 😂 As for the plot itself, I did find it lacking toward the end 🙈 Nothing much happened, and I felt like some things were being repeated for no reason. But, in the end, I enjoyed Grand Escape 😍 and will definitely keep a look out for other books by Rachel Blaufeld, (there was a segment of her next book in Grand Escape and I already want to read it!) 🤩 I would recommend this one to those who love a quick romance read set in a gorgeous paradise with unique characters that make you laugh out loud and make people look at you weirdly… because we all know that has happened before... On Aging: A Gift, Not A Burden

I can find peace in the fact that I no longer have the mind that I did, when I made past decisions that I now question. I am older, wiser, and I have the power to make new decisions , create new life.

When I look at my nephew, I am grateful to be old enough to let him enjoying not knowing and being a child, to be someone who can look out for him.

I am reminded of the privilege to have someone still looking out for me, my grandmother, who forgives me for being young and not knowing any better.

I am grateful each day I am older, the responsibility it carries but also the freedom it offers.

Everyday I have struggled through and exhausted, or enjoyed and got lost in, has been worth living between these timelines and having my own. To play a role in everyone's story, to have my own. It is a privilege to grow old.

Don't let the marketing slogans fool you: "reverse the effects of time, look ten years younger"...

You've arrived. You made it another day. Celebrate, even if you are tired.

You're tired, because you've lived.

My hope for you is that someday you see this life as a gift...not a burden... to be loved and mourned...to age and transform.
