Run Princess Run || Vaas Montenegro
A/n: as a special treat for Halloween - it's a little late -, I decided to write one final prompt. Please enjoy. The theme is choking.
Warning(s): Vaas being Vaas, choking, dirty talk, death, female reader, my terrible Spanish translations.

No Minors Allowed!!
You're insane. You have to be to propose such an idiotic game with a man as unhinged and unpredictable as Vaas Montenegro. But you crave freedom and a deal with the devil is the only option. The other is much worse.
Your chances are slim; Vaas makes a point to remind you and the other four assets of this as he leads you blindfolded into the jungle with an entourage of armed pirates, leaving you without a weapon or a sense of direction, only a reminder that your time is ticking.
The rules are simple: find the beach. Vaas claims that there is a motor boat near the shore and that it will take you away from the Rook Islands. But the catch is that you must survive him and the jungle.
"And all of this," Vaas had declared, motioning around. He had yanked your blindfold down just to emphasize his point. "All of this is my fucking jungle. Do you understand, princesa (princess)?"
All you could do was nod and watch him walk away, counting seconds like a kid who was acting as the seeker in a game of hide and seek.
It's an obvious warning. He wants you to know that you can't outrun him. But you are going to try. When the pirates are out of earshot, you take a moment to compose yourself. The man beside you, wearing a Polo shirt and beige cargo jeans removes his blindfold and takes a cautious look around. You nod to show him that it's OK.
"It's safe now darling," he utters, addressing the woman beside him. With a struggle, he removes the dark cloth from her tear-stained face; she shakes her head in protest.
"It's not safe. We're not safe," she argues.
She's right about that.
Her husband, Polo, grabs her hands to comfort her and whispers under his breath to her. In the meantime, the two other men remove their blinds; the youngest looking, a college student, searches the jungle floor for something. You raise a curious brow.
"What are you looking for?" You ask him.
"Something I can use as a weapon, he answers.
The fourth asset, a dark-haired man scoffs.
"Are you stupid man? Those assholes have machine guns and knives bigger than our damn arms. You can't expect to––"
"That's enough!" Polo shouts. He takes an uneasy breath and lowers his voice. "Please. You're scaring my wife."
Mr. Negative turns up his eyes, uttering something under his breath about her needing to be scared. You stare at him a moment in annoyance; he's going to be an issue, and then you walk over to the Scholar and help him search.
"Thank you," he utters.
"It's no problem," you reply with a grin.
Having a weapon is a smart idea. It might not help you against Vaas and his men, but the animals of the jungle are fierce. The Scholar finds a fallen branch from one of the trees and shows it to you in elation.
"This we can use," he states. "I just need to break it down a bit first and then maybe practice some swings."
You agree with a nod.
"I don't mean to be the bearer of bad news here, but you heard mohawk guy. We only have until twenty fucking Mississippi before he and his men start hunting us," Mr. Negative mentions.
"His name is Vaas," you utter, correcting him. "But you're right. We probably have less time than that depending on how he feels."
Mr. Negative raises a brow.
"What does it matter? I wasn't aware that you were such an expert on the fucker."
You take a deep breath. He's new to Vaas' little island; they all are. None of them know how turn of the coin his personality is.
"Trust me," you mention with a snap. "You don't want to upset Vaas. We might be on the guests of honor list but that won't mean shit if you disrespect him."
Mr. Negative narrows his eyes. "It's your damn fault we're out here. What the fuck were you thinking?"
You want freedom; that is what you are thinking.
The young man beside you points the stick at him in a warning.
"This is our chance to get out of here. Before you go pointing fingers at someone, you need to understand that we were only going to be sold if we stayed in those cages, or worse," he argues, defending you.
He's right. You have seen so many come and go in your time with the pirates; some barely made it a day.
"Whatever," Mr. Negative utters, pinching the bridge of his nose in annoyance. "Can we at least walk or fucking run while we figure this out?"
In agreement with him, the group begins to tread through the jungle. No one has a clue where the beach is and knowing Vaas he most likely put them so far away from it that they have no chance of finding it. You take an uneasy breath. As much as you don't want to admit it, your little group has no chance.
"Woah! Stop. Stop."
You halt and glance at Polo in concern. Did he see something? Perhaps Vaas caught up to the group sooner than expected. You take a look around, but you don't see anything.
"Don't move," he orders. His wife clings to him in fear. "I saw something move."
Pointing to something in the distance, you narrow your eyes. At first, you see the trees; elephant ear-shaped leaves hang down in the path ahead. But then you see it. Your eyes widen in fear; it's not good.
"It's just some damn birds," Mr. Negative argues with a snort.
You shoot him a look of disbelief.
"Those are not just some damn birds; those are cassowaries. They are very fast and very aggressive."
You have seen what one of them can do to an unarmed man; two, you imagine is much worse.
"What do you purpose we do then? We don't have time to sneak around them," Mr. Negative asks.
"We need to make time," you argue. Somehow you doubt even sneaking around them will keep them ignorant.
He scoffs.
"We don't fucking have time––"
"I can distract them," Polo interrupts.
You widen your eyes. He's as insane as you.
"I'll make some loud noises and draw them away from the path," Polo adds.
He's serious about this.
"No," the Wife begs. "Please don't leave me here."
"I'm not, darling. I'm going to lead them away, and then I will circle back once I've lost them and meet you at the beach."
He doesn't even know where the beach is, but if the Scholar is correct, then the dense jungle should lead out somewhere close to it. The idea is absurd, but perhaps it might work.
"Are you sure about this?" You ask.
Polo nods.
"Please watch after my wife until I return."
You frown, wishing that he had never asked you to do such a thing. You aren't certain that you can even watch after yourself. However, you nod and walk over to her side, giving her a brief smile.
The Scholar steps forward and hands the broken stick to Polo.
"You might have better use of this than us."
Polo thanks him and takes it. He grips the bark in his hand and walks up the path a bit. With a shout, he waves the stick, drawing the attention of the two cassowaries from their food search. One bellows out with a screech and runs after him; the other stays behind for a moment – you think it may not leave – but then follows, chasing Polo further into the jungle.
You wish him luck.
"Stop standing around with your thumb up your asses and let's go," Mr. Negative orders.
You give him a heated look. He's right, but fuck he's annoying. The Wife grabs onto your shirt and follows closely behind you as Mr. Negative leads the group on.
Hearing the crash of the tide, you can't believe that the beach is in sight. Your heart races as you walk out into the sand, staring into the distance as the ocean. It's a dream come true. You made it.
"Look over there," the Scholar orders, pointing to something.
You turn your attention over, noticing the motorboat on the shoreline. Oh shit! It's there. You can't believe it. Mr. Negative rushes towards it in a hurry; you and the others follow. It appears to be in working condition. There are no holes or rust; nothing but a bag resting in the bottom beneath one of the seats. You raise a brow.
"Let's get the fuck out of here," Mr. Negative orders.
He grabs the side of the boat in an attempt to push it into the water, but the Wife stops him.
"What about my husband? We can't leave him here."
The Scholar narrows his eyes.
"The fuck we can't," he snaps. "He's probably already dead."
"What is wrong with you? He stayed behind to make sure we got away from those cassowaries. We can wait a few minutes longer; we made it to the beach, didn't we? Vaas gave his word."
You hum to back his claim, walking over to the bag. Did Vaas or someone else put it in the boat? The two men continue to argue as you lean down to unzip it; the scent of tar permeates the air. Immediately, your eyes widen in horror.
Several bricks of Composite C4 are stacked on one another and linked to a transmitter; the red light indicates that they are armed. Fuck! Tears blur your vision for a moment but you notice a sheet of paper in the corner nearly crushed beneath the bricks.
Run.
A heart is drawn beside it.
Your eyes widen. Turning, you observe the tree line. He's out there, watching. But where?
"It's a trap! We need to run!"
The Scholar turns and sees the bag. He grabs your hand and yanks you away from the boat; the two others react quickly and follow suit. And as expected, the boat explodes with an ear-piercing bang and rains debris onto the beach. You cover your ears in protest, groaning as your head rings. Fuck, that hurts.
As the nagging noise fades, you jerk in fear as the sound of gunfire pierces the air. From the tree line walks Vaas and with him are the armed pirates. You shoot him a heated look; he lied.
The man in question claps his hands.
"So close princesa (princess). So fucking close."
"We made it! We beat you here!" Mr. Negative shouts in anger.
Vaas turns a heated glare at him.
"Was I fucking talking to you?! Shut your fucking mouth!"
Yanking his gun free he pulls back the hammer, then aims and shoots the man in the stomach.
The Wife cries out in horror and falls to her knees. You ignore her, keeping your annoyed attention on Vaas.
"You lied to me."
"¿Perdóname (pardon me)?" He asks with a curious look.
Your heart pounds in your chest as you step closer. The Scholar questions your actions, but you ignore him.
"You never even searched for us, did you? You came right here and waited."
Vaas snorts and closes the distance, burying his fingers in your hair and resting the barrel of the gun beneath your chin. You shiver, an action that doesn't go unnoticed by him.
"You think you are so fucking smart. Hmm? Read me like a book," Vaas asks.
"Like a manual written in a language I can't make sense of, honestly," you reply.
He removes the gun from your chin and grins.
"I've offered to teach you Spanish, princesa (princess), but you are fucking deadset on no."
"It's... Hotter when I have no idea what you're saying," you admit. Your face heats up in embarrassment.
Vaas pulls you forward and kisses you roughly. You return the kiss with a hum.
"What the fuck?! You're in on this?!" You hear the Scholar ask in disbelief.
You part from Vaas and turn your attention to the man in question, groaning as the pirate runs his warm tongue over your ear.
"It was my idea. And you should thank me; seldom do hostages get a chance to escape. I'm just as upset as you are. I had a bet riding on--"
You grunt in pain as Vaas sinks his teeth into your neck. The said man parts from you and taps his finger on your forehead.
"Use your fucking ears next time, princesa (princess). I said all you motherfuckers had to cross the finish line."
He did say that, didn't he? Fuck! Polo never made it to the beach. You sigh in defeat.
"The jungle probably ate the other one up and spit him out," you mention. "I was so close."
"Next time you will listen better, no?" Vaas asks.
You nod in agreement, a bit let down that you had lost your chance at freedom; the freedom to do as you please.
"You sold us out for a bet?" The Wife asks in tears.
"Freedom has a price," you mention. Your face heats up in embarrassment. "Though I suppose making a bet on our lives just to have free reign was a bit unorthodox."
Vaas hums.
"I give you enough free reign. You are spoiled."
Perhaps. But you want to walk around the base without Carlos on your ass; it's annoying.
"But did you at least have fun? I wanted you to like it," you ask with a hopeful expression.
Vaas brings you forward and kisses you again. It's all the confirmation you need. An air of glee surrounds you and you slide your arms around him.
Parting from you, he glances over his shoulder and motions the gun toward the hostages.
"Stop fucking gawking pervertidos (perverts) and take these two back to the outpost. I have plans for them."
His men spring into action, rounding up the Wife and the Scholar; the latter shoots you a look of disgust as he passes by but you hide your face against Vaas' chest. It eats away at you, but at one time even you were a hostage. The island just has a way of infecting people who remain on it for too long. It had slowly driven you insane.
"He's not a bad asset," you mention beneath your breath, referring to the Scholar.
Vaas snorts.
"You wanna fuck him or something?"
You turn your eyes to him, grinning.
"I wanna fuck you."
Vaas widens his eyes.
"Have you any idea what you do to me? Telling me that. Fucking tease."
"I have a clue, but please show me," you beg.
The pirate grabs your hand and presses it against the crotch of his camo-printed pants. You can feel his hard cock against your palm. Stroking him through his pants, he groans in response.
"But perhaps now isn't the best--"
"Take your fucking pants off and lie down," Vaas orders.
You snort and reluctantly release him. Taking your pants off, you use them as a blanket to keep the hot sand from roasting you as you lie down on your back, knees bent and thighs spread. You watch in eager anticipation as Vaas frees himself and rests on his knees in front of you. His hand strokes his cock, provoking a shiver in you.
"You want this?" He asks.
You wet your lips and hum in agreement.
"More than anything."
Vaas grabs your hips and yanks you down toward him, pressing the head against your opening. You lean up on your elbows as he spreads your outer lips and quickly sinks into you with a rough uncontrolled thrust. Your walls tighten in protest, stinging from the sudden stretch of his cock. It's a good thing you were wet enough to take him; Vaas is sometimes ruthless to your poor pussy.
Burying his short nails into your hips, he pounds your tight hole, flicking his tongue across his lips.
You moan, panting as each thrust against your cervix knocks the air from your lungs.
"I needed this-- I n-needed you."
"Me tomas tan bien. Como si tu coñito estuviera hecho para mí (you take me so well. Like your little pussy was made for me)," Vaas retorts.
You have no idea what this means, but hearing the words roll from his tongue brings goosebumps to your skin.
"Please don't stop," you beg.
Small waves of pleasure crash and pull inside you, growing more intense. You arch your hips, bouncing them into the thrusts to gain better friction; your tits jounce in protest.
"You like this cock deep inside you? Hmm? Mi hermosa princesa (my beautiful princess). Mi puta (my whore)," Vaas asks with a groan.
You moan and tilt back your head.
"Yes! Fuck yes! I do! I'm yours... All yours."
Calloused fingers tighten around your throat and you gasp in protest, feeling your airway constrict. You can breathe still, but the pressure instantly makes your head spin. Your eyes roll back as the hot pressure in your stomach and lower body grows wilder. You can't take it. The sensation is too much.
"V-vaas," you plea. Your voice sounds broken and barely above a whisper, but it's all you can manage.
A moment later, the pressure releases and your pussy flutters as an orgasm crashes over you. Spots cloud your vision and saliva pools in your mouth as you spasm. This is more intense than you had imagined it. But slowly the ecstasy begins to recede and your tired hips rest the pants beneath you. It takes a second for Vaas to release the hold on your neck, and once he does, you slump down in exhaustion. Your pussy throbs as the pirate hovering over you continue.
"Por favor, corre para mí (Please cum for me). I wanna hear you fucking say it, princesa (princess). Say it!" Vaas orders.
You raise a brow curious as to its meaning but to humor him, you utter the words in a worn voice, staring into his gorgeous green eyes.
"Por favor, corre para mí."
Vaas tightens his jaw and pulls out of you, stroking his cock until he comes, painting your thighs in ropes of warm cum.
"Fuck! That was intense, mi princesa (my princess)," he exclaims in exhaustion.
You agree with a hum, leaning up on your elbows.
"What did you ask me to say?"
"Learn some fucking Spanish," Vaas answers with a heated look.
You snort.
"But not knowing gets me hot."
"You're lucky I like your warm little pussy," he retorts.
You groan and avert your eyes in embarrassment. This man makes you so feral.
"That's a shame. Because I like you for more than just your big thick cock."
"Yeah?" Vaas asks. "And what do you like about me?"
He's not getting an answer from you that easily.
"Give me free rein around the camp and I'll--"
"You lost, princesa (princess). Suck it the fuck up," Vaas orders.
You sigh in defeat. However, an idea comes to mind. It's not as rewarding as getting to walk around unattended, but it's something you want.
"May I tie you up then?"
The pirate raises a scarred brow and snorts.
"If you are a good little mascota (pet)."
"Always," you utter with a grin.
It's the truth. You swear.

I. Sister
"Y/N is getting married?" Johnny shouted on the phone, making his co-workers look at him in question. "What do you mean our youngest sister is getting married?" He asked quietly then mouthed an apology to his co-workers inside the conference room.
Doyoung sighed, "Did she and Taeyong get back together?"
"I sincerely hope it was Taeyong." Jaehyun claimed while chuckling nervously, "The new guy isn't even as handsome as Lee Taeyong. He looks like an octopus." He continued while doodling on the cue sheet.
Johnny dismissed the meeting, asking everyone to leave the room then sat on his chair slumping. "What do you mean new guy? When did she start dating a new guy?"
"Didn't you read the email I sent you, hyung?" Jungwoo asked with a roll of eyes. "It was six months ago when she transferred to a different company and started dating the company CEO," he explained then transferred the phone to the other ear as he pulled the yellow plug and replaced it with a red plug which earned a sound. Jungwoo pulled the plug quickly as Jaehyun complained that it was too loud. "Yuta isn't bad. Mom actually likes him."
"Mom likes everyone." the second brother whispered, bowing at the nurses who passed by him in the hallway.
"You've met him?" the eldest asked. Both Jaehyun and Jungwoo hummed as an answer. "Six months? Why are they rushing? Is she pregnant?"
"I don't think our sister is like that," Doyoung reasoned out. "But why exactly are they rushing?"
"She says it's true love," Jungwoo explained and Jaehyun made a gagging sound on the other line. "Anyway, mom wants you home."
The third brother hissed. "Even me? But Y/N's wedding is still three months from now."
"Yes hyung." Jungwoo said quietly, "It's mom's 70th birthday, she wanted to have a grand party. And I think she wants us to stay until Y/N's wedding."
Doyoung sighed, "I can't assure you that I'll come home but I'll try." Johnny seconded the motion that made Jungwoo hiss.
"Hyungs, please just do this for mom and Y/N."
—---
The second brother is the one easily swayed by what the youngest brother pleaded. So even if he had all the responsibilities in the hospital in Morocco, he took a four-month leave to be with his family. Doyoung kept on repeating that it was worth it since he hasn’t been home since he went to the foreign country seven years ago. He missed his mom, missed his only sister, and even his brothers.
A lot has changed. The airport isn’t the same as when he left and the air was a little stuffy. Even Jungwoo and Jaehyun changed a lot. How did his youngest brother become taller than the two older than him? What didn’t change is his cheerful aura and Jaehyun’s cold look. “Did you have a nice flight hyung?” Jungwoo asked and Doyoung nodded.
“Does mom know I’m coming home?” Jaehyun was the one who shook his head. “How about Y/N?”
The third brother took his luggage, “She’s busy with her boyfriend.” Then shook his head, “Her fiancé, rather.”
Doyoung sighed. “Are you sure Y/N isn’t pregnant?”
Surprisingly, their house didn’t change. It’s still the same as before. His mom also didn’t change although she looks thinner since the last time he saw her. The older even cried when she saw Doyoung, making Jaehyun complain that she wasn’t like that when he came home. “Because you just live a city away, hyung.” Jungwoo claimed while helping him carry Doyoung’s luggage inside the house.
If there is something that entirely changed, that would be Y/N. Doyoung was surprised when the teenager who cried a lot when he left looked so grown up in her blazer and pencil skirt. She ran to his arms, repeatedly asking if it really is him. That didn’t change, though. She’s still the sweet, youngest sister. “What are you doing here? Why didn’t you tell me you’re coming?” She asked with a wide smile on his face.
“Surprise?” he said with his gummy smile and she giggled, whispering that she missed him so much. “And a little birdie told me that you are getting married.” The younger girl stared at him with a nervous look, “We’ll talk about it when hyung gets home.”
“Johnny oppa is also coming home?” Even their mom looked surprised. It was Jungwoo who nodded, sharing that Johnny is on his connecting flight heading home.
Unlike Doyoung’s homecoming, Johnny’s includes everyone in the family. Jungwoo was still surprised at how they all fit the family minivan that they bought a year ago. It was comical how their mom kept on clinging to their oldest brother when it’s only been three years since they last saw Johnny. The eldest kept on holding Y/N’s shoulder like the usual protective brother he is.
And now that the four of them are home, surely the talk about Y/N’s marriage will happen.
It was dinnertime. Their mom asked a lot of things about the two elders’ work abroad while the three younger just remained quiet. “I can’t believe the five of you are complete like this.” Their mom said emotionally, “I can die right now.”
“Mom, if you die now the money spent on your party will go to waste,” Jaehyun claimed which made the youngest of the family giggle. "Do you know how much your gown costs?"
Their mom hissed at the middle child before the youngest spoke up, “And you still have to walk me to the altar, mom.”
“So it is true that you are getting married?” Johnny asked in his booming voice. The youngest just nodded, not even fazed at the older’s tone. “Why are you rushing to get married, Y/N?”
“Are you pregnant?” The girl had to pointedly look at her second oldest brother, “I’m not.” she claimed before turning to Johnny. “And I love him so why can’t we get married?”
“Princess, it’s only been six months since you started dating the guy,” Jaehyun claimed and Jungwoo nodded. The girl had to glare at him for the nickname and was about to speak up when Doyoung calmly asked, “You dated Taeyong for years and even broke up with him. Why is this guy any different?” Y/N hissed, blowing air in obvious frustration.
Johnny nodded before speaking up, “And he’s not even as handsome as Taeyong.” Y/N stared at him, offended, but the older only gestured at Jaehyun saying that it was him who said those words. “Why do you want to marry him, Y/N?”
“Can we just let Y/N with her decision?” their mom said which made the five look at her. “Why are you so against of your sister’s marriage?”
The oldest had to sigh heavily, “Mom, isn’t it weird that the youngest of the five of us and the only daughter gets married first?”
“Your sister is in a relationship. Who among the four of you is dating someone?” Jungwoo had to look at Jaehyun with a light snicker. “She’s a grown-up, she can make her own decisions now. If Y/N wanted to marry her boyfriend, we should let her.”
“Even if it means seeing her get hurt?” Doyoung asked which made the two younger guys look at him.
“That is part of the process.” She exclaimed, “We cannot keep your sister in our care forever.” Jungwoo nodded. Maybe because he always sees her but he knew how much his sister had changed. His mom’s words made sense. She’s not the same teenage girl they used to worry a lot about. “And I think you should fix this and talk to her.” The oldest gestured to the end of the table where their sister was sitting earlier. When did she get up? They were just talking about her.
Their mom was right, no one could fix this but the four of them.
The only daughter was seated on the bench, facing their mother’s mini garden, with a pissed-off look on her face. Jungwoo handed her a small plate of the chocolate cake she loves while Jaehyun sat beside her. “I’m sorry, princess.” Johnny started, “We are just worried that you might get hurt.”
She put down the plate between her and Jaehyun. “I know,” she started with a heavy sigh. “But oppa, I’m not a kid anymore.”
“That doesn’t mean we cannot protect you. Kid or not, you’re still our younger sister.” Doyoung claimed, hands crossed against his chest while leaning on the lamppost nearby that illuminates the small light on them. “We prayed hard for you, we can’t just let you be hurt.”
“Why would you think that I would get hurt?” She pointedly looked at the four older guys surrounding her. “Yuta is a nice guy. He respects my boundaries…” She turned to the second brother, “So no, Doyoung oppa, I’m not pregnant.” She then looked at Johnny, “He makes me laugh and he comforts me a lot.” Then shook her head before picking up her plate of cake, “He even included me in his future dreams.” she mentioned quietly before taking a forkful of cake.
Doyoung was about to say something when Jungwoo shook his head at the older, “Jungwoo oppa, you met him right? Can you just tell them that Yuta is a nice person?”
“Jaehyun also met him.” The youngest of the boys said, pointing at the guy seated beside her. But Y/N only glared at her third brother. “I know he’s not as handsome as Taeyong but do you remember that Yong chose to be an idol over me?” Y/N said as a matter of fact then took another bite of her cake. “Why would I settle for a handsome guy who would hurt me in the end?”
“Exactly. Why date a not-so-handsome guy who will hurt you in the end?” The eldest whispered.
Y/N put down her plate once again, “Why are you so sure that Yuta would hurt me?”
“Because all guys are like that.” It was Jaehyun’s turn to speak.
“Are the four of you like that?” The youngest asked while staring pointedly at the four. She gave a sigh knowing that she wouldn’t get an answer then stood up. “I’ll invite Yuta to mom’s party. Can you just please get to know him first?”
Doyoung stepped forward, “What if we don’t like him?”
“Then I’ll do everything to convince you to like him.” Once again, she looked at the four guys who remained quiet. “Are we good with that?” They all nodded in answer. “I appreciate your concern oppas. But please, give Yuta a chance.”
The four only nodded with a heavy sigh as she started hugging them one by one, thanking them. When she excused herself to go inside, the four only watched her retreating figure heading inside the house. “So I think that was it. She’s still getting married whether we like it or not.” Jungwoo claimed.
Doyoung sat beside Jaehyun on the bench with a heavy groan. “No.” The three looked at him in surprise. “I still think there’s something wrong with that guy. Why ask a girl for marriage if you only dated for six months?” Johnny nodded, he has a point. But what do you expect from the smartest person in the family? “We might not cancel the wedding but we can postpone it.”
“Postpone? How?” The guy beside him asked and Doyoung smirked, “By showing Y/N what she will lose if she marries that guy.”
"Her virginity?" Jaehyun asked, which made the closer brother reach for his neck to choke him.
II. Plan # 1
Their mom’s birthday is the largest party that their family hosted. Having five children, all working individuals, had been an instrument in making it possible. Y/N is the main person in charge of almost everything, Jungwoo on catering, Jaehyun on technical, Doyoung agreed to be the host of the party, while Johnny helped by being the main source of funding.
Doyoung saw his sister waiting in the lobby of the hotel just as a black Rolls Royce was parked in front of the hotel. The girl was smiling widely, greeting the person who casually entered the hotel holding a gift bag. Is that Yuta? Well, he’s not that bad. If possible, he kind of looks like Taeyong. The guy smiled at Y/N and then gave her a quick kiss on the lips which made the older brother cough to attract their attention.
“Oppa,” Y/N called, turning to him. “This is Yuta Nakamoto.” She introduced. Oh, he’s Japanese. She missed that detail when she shared about him, the youngest brother didn’t even supply that information. Doesn’t Jungwoo know? “This is my second brother, Doyoung.”
The other guy lent a hand to shake which Doyoung took. “It was nice to meet you. Y/N had shared so much about you.” He wanted to say the same thing but he couldn't. He doesn't even know anything about the guy. Just the fact that he's marrying his sister.
The older brother just stared at his sister with a knowing glare on his face and she grinned playfully, “Why are you outside? Are you waiting for someone?” Funny, she would ask that.
The older nodded, smiling widely back at her. A red Ferrari parked in front of the hotel, “He’s here.” Doyoung saw how his sister’s expression changed when Lee Taeyong went out of the car and greeted him. “Long time no see, Yong.” It was awkward when he greeted Y/N and she didn’t take a second to introduce her fiancé who claimed to be a huge fan of the idol.
It was awkward in the elevator. Y/N is still holding Yuta’s arm talking about the diamond earring he got for their mom. “I told you not to buy her anything,” But the guy shook his head, saying that he’ll feel bad coming to the party without bringing anything. “Besides, I want to show my gratitude for the woman who brought you to this world." Doyoung watched as the Japanese guy held his sister's cheek, rubbing it with his thumb. "You’re the best thing that happened to me, Y/N.”
Doyoung mentally puked. She fell for these words? There’s clearly something wrong that happened to his sister during the years he’s not around.
All throughout the party, Y/N didn’t leave Yuta’s side. She introduced her to their relatives who gushed at how thoughtful he was for giving the birthday celebrant a diamond earring which their mom kept on boasting the whole night. A brownie point for Yuta which annoyed Doyoung.
“I was looking forward to your plan thinking that you’re the smart one,” Jaehyun started, drinking his wine. “Hyung you’re not the brightest, aren’t you?” The older glared.
Johnny nodded, gesturing for Taeyong who was just talking to some of the younger cousins who were a fan of him. “When you said showing Y/N what she will lose, I didn’t expect Taeyong. Have you forgotten that he was the reason why Y/N and Yuta met?”
The youngest of the four sighed, “Can’t we just accept Yuta? He’s not that bad, to be honest.” He gestured at their sister and her fiancé talking by the bar. The happiness on the young girl’s face can be seen as she kept on laughing along with Yuta. “And she looks really happy with him.”
“No, my plan isn’t over yet.” Doyoung claimed as he made his way to Taeyong, leaving the three shaking their heads. They were just surprised when he made his way to the couple. They watched as he talked to Yuta and then led the path to where the buffet was. Once alone, Taeyong walked to where Y/N is which made Johnny shake his head, “God, Doyoung is stupid.”
Jungwoo immediately came to where Yuta and Doyoung were. “Hey!” he greeted casually and Yuta gave him a wide smile, “The seafood chowder is good, isn’t it?”
The Japanese guy nodded, “Y/N loves the chowder." And Doyoung interjected that it was her favorite food, the reason why that meal was on the menu. “She does love to cook seafood chowder a lot.” Jungwoo looked offended. She had never cooked for them before.
Yuta had to turn his head to where his fiancée was, lightly glancing, then smiled to himself when he took some shrimps. “Thank you for taking me away for a while, Doyoung. She doesn’t want me to leave her side.” Doyoung glanced at the surprised Jungwoo. “But it’s better for them to have closure.” He claimed while peeling the jumbo shrimps.
“You knew?” The oldest of the two brothers asked and Yuta smiled, nodding. “She was crying on the rooftop of the office while watching Taeyong’s music video once. I thought she’s a fan but she shared that they used to be together.” Yuta had a fond smile on his face as if relieving that memory. “That was the moment I was sure that I’ll always choose Y/N over anything else.”
Yuta wasn’t so bad. That simple sentence made Doyoung believe that he really loves his sister. The sincerity in his words and the way he said her name made him second guess the guy. And Yuta peeled the shrimps for her, aware that it was one of the things his sister hated. Maybe the youngest is right, they are in love.
There's no point in stopping their wedding now.
“We need to stop the wedding!” Jaehyun announced when he came home in the afternoon, which made Doyoung whip his head at the younger guy. “Yuta has a skeleton in his closet.”
A skeleton? He's a murderer?
III. Plan # 2
Jaehyun was in his usual coffee run after delivering the morning news for a local channel. Being an in-demand news anchor is a tiring job. He hated to get up in the morning, especially if he stayed the night in their house, but he had to. Luckily, there isn’t a lot going on at home, and he stayed in his penthouse in the city's heart. It’s also his chance to get his favorite coffee before hitting the gym.
The cashier was all smiles at him as he flashed his dimpled smile, leaning closer to whisper his order which made the other girl giggle while writing his requests. “I’ll go make your order, Jae.”
“Don’t forget to write your number on the cup, sweet cheeks.” He said with a wink that earned a giggle from the girl. He checked his phone, surprised that there was a call from a well-known supermodel. Jaehyun smirked, when can she realize that he's not going to pick up after they spend one night together? Is she that desperate?
A sudden ring of the coffee shop door caught his attention. He watched a gorgeous-looking woman coming in with a young child beside her then shook his head. Too bad. She's hot but she looks like she’s already married. Maybe he’ll just continue flirting with the barista.
There was another ring of the door then a child's voice shouting ‘Daddy!’ that he didn’t bother. He only heard their conversations while staring at the different syrups on the counter. “Thank you for doing this, Yuta.” He stopped, ears perking up at the name. Did he hear it correctly? Yuta? The same name as his sister's fiancé?
Hastily, he turned around to the source of the voice to see the person he met twice already. Yuta Nakamoto. Indeed, his sister’s fiancé. That octopus. Seated in front of the gorgeous woman and carrying the younger girl in his lap. Jaehyun took his phone out and snapped a photo just as he heard the kid call the man ‘daddy’. He’s married? A wife and a daughter. Does his sister know?
“Iced Americano for…” He hushed the barista and told her that he’ll call her before briskly going out of the coffee shop and into his car. He made a second look at the man seen from outside the shop.
Doyoung was right. There’s something weird about this Yuta Nakamoto.
“Are you sure, hyung?” Jungwoo asked, looking at the picture from his phone once again. “Shouldn’t we inform Y/N first?”
“Then what? Let that guy fool our sister again?” Jaehyun asked, fist clenched in anger. “We have to make sure that Y/N is the one who will catch that octopus in the act.”
Doyoung crossed his arms, leaning on his chair. “How are we going to do that? Remember that she hasn’t spoken to us ever since mom’s party.”
“It’s not our fault,” Johnny whispered casually, typing on his laptop. “It was you who invited her ex-boyfriend.”
The second brother rolled his eyes, hissing at that. “But hyungs, if Yuta is really married this is a different issue.” The youngest claimed and they nodded, “Maybe we should just tell Y/N directly.”
“Tell me what?” The girl asked, removing her shoes and putting down her bag in the hallways of their house. “What’s with the meeting?” Jaehyun was quick to take his phone, hiding it in his pocket. "What are the four of you doing?" She asked while coming to the dining area where they were, taking some chips that were placed on the table.
"Charades!" Jaehyun claimed then stood up flailing his arms in a wave-like motion. "Guess what I am."
The girl laughed, "A squid?" He shook his head. "An octopus?" Jaehyun laughed while shaking his head. She looked confused, "What's that?"
"Yuta." The three said in unison and Jaehyun laughed. Y/N only stared curiously and it was Doyoung who answered, "Because he kept coming back to that takoyaki dish during mom's birthday." Even Jungwoo nodded at that, hiding a smile.
"You should do that as a theme," Jaehyun suggested. "The theme, under the sea!" Jungwoo exclaimed with a lot of animation in his voice. She looked at them curiously before Johnny spoke up, "Because you both love seafood and there are lots of fishes in the ocean, Y/N."
She shook her head, sighing. "Do you still not like him?" She stood up between Jungwoo and Doyoung's chairs. “Oppas, you already met him. How can I convince you to like him?” The oldest just sighed and she pointedly looked at Doyoung, So please don’t pull some plan to break us up. I love him.”
The four just gave a knowing look at each other before she reached out for the coffee cup on the table. “Jaehyun oppa, another number? You should stop collecting numbers that you wouldn’t even call.” She claimed then put down the coffee cup, “You should date for real. A lot of girls would swoon at the sight of you.”
Like a lightbulb moment, Jaehyun smiled. “Then will you help me if I ask someone out for a date?” He claimed and the youngest nodded, suggesting to have a double date with Yuta if it pushes through. “Of course. I would very much like that.”
Her mood got brighter and excused herself to get dressed from her work clothes. Jaehyun took out his phone then slipped it to the youngest brother, “You’re good at computers. Find out who the girl is.”
Jungwoo shook his head. He is a mechanical engineer, not an FBI agent.
—-----
Johnny always thought that his younger brothers were crazy. In the family, Doyoung is the smartest one, then Y/N. Maybe he’s next. But he didn’t expect Jungwoo to be a genius in all the technology stuff. Although his course doesn’t specifically deal with computers, he still managed to get the name of the girl in the picture. It was also surprising that he found out where she lives and where she goes to work. Maybe Jungwoo is the family's hidden genius.
While Jaehyun ranked last in the brain category, he topped the category when it comes to looks among the brothers. He’s always the prince in the school play, the school heartthrob that girls would fawn over. When he decided to take up broadcasting in college, their mom didn't even argue. They knew he'll eventually take that path, becoming a celebrity and appearing on television. So the oldest wasn’t surprised when his plan included seducing the girl with his looks.
What he's worried about is the fact that she's supposedly married. Isn't Jaehyun doing something illegal? But then if they proved that Yuta is indeed married, his sin is a bigger crime. So maybe this is alright. For the sake of their sister.
In a pretense to research for his upcoming news assignment, Jaehyun went to the one place that he loathed his whole life. But this is all for his sister. They found out that Yuta’s wife was working in a library so with all his charm and dimpled smile, he planned to work his way to get a date with the assistant librarian. A typical bump into her and help her with the fallen books. And when he saw her gasp, after smiling at her with that charming dimpled smile of his, he knew this is an easy task.
Doyoung only shook his head while watching his younger brother kneeling in front of the girl in the picture he showed them. Apparently, this is Yuta’s wife. His skeleton in the closet. They conversed a little after helping her with the books before he asked for the girl’s phone and typed something on it. “Wow,” Jungwoo whispered, “He gave his number, not the other way around.” Well, Doyoung had to admit that Jaehyun knew his game.
They weren’t sure how Jaehyun's plans would expose the cheater that is Yuta Nakamoto but the three have no other choice but to trust the news anchor’s plan.
Unlike the three who were home during nighttime, Jaehyun kept on staying in his apartment most of the time. The brothers weren’t sure about the progress of Jaehyun’s plan until one weekend when Y/N asked permission to go on a date with Yuta. “They were highschool sweethearts and she got pregnant in college with her boyfriend.” Jaehyun shared, seated in the dining area opposite their eldest brother.
“Which is Yuta right?” Johnny asked. “Then they’re not married?” Jaehyun shook his head. Doyoung sighed, “Then there’s nothing that we can do.”
Jaehyun smiled, “Married or not, he’s still a father. Do you think our sister would like to be a stepmother all of a sudden?” That makes sense, Johnny thought. “I still want to expose his cheating octopus ass to Y/N.”
“Wouldn’t that hurt Y/N?” Jungwoo asked then looked up to see the three looking at him. “Shouldn’t we just let her know the truth and let her deal with it herself?”
“We’re her brothers. It’s our job to protect her so we cannot let her deal with this herself.” Johnny claimed that made the third brother nod enthusiastically. “So Jaehyun, do what you intend to do. Just let us know if you need our help.”
The mentioned guy smiled, “I do need your help.” Jungwoo breathed hard, staring at the three. This will just end with bad news.
—-----
It was new that Jaehyun is the one who asked their mom to eat out and he even chose an expensive restaurant in the heart of the city. He specifically said that everyone should be there since he is introducing his current girlfriend. Everyone, even his sister's fiancé.
"He really planned for them to meet like this?" Jungwoo asked, whispering to Doyoung. Their mom was in front, holding Johnny's arm. "In front of mom?" The second brother lightly glanced at the couple behind them, talking to themselves. "But Johnny said to trust Jaehyun this time." The doctor claimed with a shrug.
Jungwoo shook his head with a sigh. He was right, this will only result in bad news. The third brother greeted them and offered the six people their seats. "Why are there two seats left?" Y/N asked as Yuta helped with her chair.
"My girlfriend and her daughter." Their mom looked surprised and commented on how mature it is for Jaehyun to date a single mom. Jungwoo saw how his sister lightly glanced at Yuta, the other tapping her hand above the table. It was an ominous feeling. This will surely end in bad news.
They engaged in small talks, their mom thanking Yuta for coming even if it was a sudden notice and he gracefully answered that he was thankful to be invited to a family dinner with them. Jaehyun visibly scoffed, which made Johnny kick him from under the table.
"Oh, she's here," Jaehyun said then waved at someone. Jungwoo had to glance at Y/N and Yuta who both turned around to look at the girl approaching. The silence was broken when the younger girl in pigtails shouted, "Daddy, you're also here!"
So this is how it will all turn out?
"Y/N mommy, you also." The younger girl claimed that made the guys on the table wide-eyed. The kid knew their sister? And Y/N mommy?
"You know each other?" Doyoung asked and the three other guys had to look at him.
Their mom broke the silence by asking what was going on. "This is Yuri, Yuta's daughter with Risa." Y/N introduced then glared at Jaehyun, "I didn't know Yuta's ex-girlfriend is your current girlfriend." The way she said those words were too cold. So cold that it made Jungwoo shiver. "What a small world, oppa."
She is mad.
Maybe Jungwoo knew her so much that he just remained quiet the whole dinner. Their mom had always been graceful while talking to Risa, Yuta, and even the enthusiastic Yuri. When it was time to go, Yuta volunteered to drive his ex-girlfriend home and Y/N just nodded without a word.
The moment their family arrived at their house, with a super awkward car ride home, their mom excused herself to go to bed first. Jungwoo thought it was already done but Y/N had to send him a message saying that they should meet in the dining room.
It was a nostalgic experience. Doyoung still remembers how the five of them usually had these meetings when they were young. Whenever they were planning a father's day gift for their late dad or creating a mother's day card for their mom. The last time they did this was when Doyoung shared that he's moving abroad for his job.
He clearly remembered how Y/N was crying at that time. The same girl that has her arms crossed across her chest and glaring at the four of them. "The four of you planned this, didn't you?" It was an accusation they cannot refute. They did. But they never expected these results. "Why? To embarrass Yuta in front of mom?"
Johnny gave a heavy sigh, "A guy with a child? Seriously, Y/N?"
"Since when did you find out about his daughter?" The second brother asked.
"From the start," she claimed with a smile. "I think it was the reason why I fell for him." Jaehyun groaned in annoyance and she glared. "You have no idea about anything so please just stop."
Jungwoo leaned on his chair, "Is there anything that we should know about Yuta?" Y/N rolled her eyes at the older, obviously pissed off at this point. "Y/N, you're marrying him. He's going to be our younger brother. I think we should start knowing things about him." Jaehyun had to nod.
Y/N breathed heavily, "He can handle alcohol well. He never smokes." She started narrating then smiled naughtily. "He has piercings in his ears and a piercing in his navel. Also, a tattoo on his waist and hip."
"Wait, how did you know that?" Jaehyun asked and she only smiled knowingly. "Yah! Y/N!"
She frowned, putting her hands together above the table. "And Yuri isn't his daughter." A gasp can be heard but she isn't sure where it came from. "Risa isn't her mother either. Yuri was Risa's younger sister." She confessed quietly. "Yuta and Risa were high school sweethearts. Her mom remarried when they were together and had Yuri. When they broke up, her parents died in a car crash and she asked for help from Yuta." A sigh escaped her lips, "Yuri just grew up thinking Risa is her mom and Yuta is her dad."
The girl stared at her news anchor brother, "So I hope you're serious about Risa. She doesn't deserve to get hurt again." Then stared at the other three. "And I hope you can stop all these plans to stop our marriage because whatever happens, I will marry Yuta."
She stood up, her chair dragging a loud sound. "It was a nice talk. Goodnight oppas." But before she could leave the dining room, she stopped and turned to them. "He's also not your younger brother, Jungwoo oppa. He's the same age as Johnny oppa." Doyoung looked shocked.
They watched her back walking up the stairs. Collective sighs and shaking of head can be heard and seen. Well, there's nothing they can do now.
Their younger sister is getting married. Whether they like it or not.
IV. Plan success?
"Yuri behave yourself and don't cause Y/N trouble, hmm?" The younger girl nodded enthusiastically. "Daddy will be back real quick."
He stood up, dusting his jeans in the process. "I'm sorry if this is a huge trouble," Yuta started but Y/N shook her head smiling at the younger girl holding her teddy elephant. "When I get back, we'll focus on planning our wedding."
The girl had to grin. "Don't worry too much, Yuta. Just focus on what you have to do right now. Good luck on your business deal." He pulled her closer for a hug, brushing her hair with his fingers. "I'm going to miss you," he whispered and she giggled, claiming that he'll only be gone for a week.
It was an inevitable business trip. A client he had been chasing for years because of the generous offer in the tech world. It was his chance since he just found out that he was in Japan. A great chance to talk him into investing in his own business. Yuta isn't new to Japan but he's nervous about meeting the chief executive. With all the effort he can muster, he took the chance to present their latest product to the huge company. His make or break. This will determine the future of his company. His future with Y/N.
The first time Yuta saw her, he knew he wanted to spend the remaining days of his life with her. It was weird how he felt that. Maybe that was what they meant when they said about koi no yokan. She was his solace, the person he could come to when everything gets tough for him. The main reason why even if it’s already late at night in his place, he was still on the phone with her. “It’s Jungwoo oppa’s day off tomorrow so we might bring Yuri to the mall.” Yuta was just smiling while she shared things about Yuri’s antics at their home and how her mom loves the younger girl.
It was one of the things he found admirable about her. When she first met Yuri, a month after being officially together, they instantly clicked. She didn't even ask for details about Yuri, it just naturally flowed and he was thankful that she understood their little set-up. She even helped the little girl grow closer to him. It was the deciding factor. The moment he knew that he'd risk everything for Y/N.
A beep can be heard from his phone and he excused to check who it was, surprised that it was the assistant of the businessman he just presented to. "I'll call you back. Hopefully, this is good news," he said giddily. She smiled while muttering good luck and that she'll wait for his call. "When the proposal gets accepted, let's get married when I get home."
Y/N giggled on the phone, "I hope you get the deal, love."
Excitedly, he took the call but the serious male voice only shared that their company cannot accept the deal from Yuta's company since they already had a supplier. He tried to negotiate through it. He had waited long for this opportunity, he cannot give up yet. But the other just said that the company from Chicago has a better presentation than him.
Yuta was devastated when he hung up the call. This is his chance. He cannot come back from a failed mission. Using his laptop, he searched for the rival Chicago company which boasts an international roster of clients. It is a huge company, no doubt. But what startled him is a familiar face among the executives. Y/N's eldest brother, Johnny.
On his way back, he kept on thinking that it was a coincidence. They may be after the same client but this is too obvious to be a coincidence. He was fully aware of how her brothers don't like him, all their judging looks, and their plans to embarrass him. Yuta understood it. If Risa were to marry a guy she just met for six months, he'll react the same way. But he wanted to prove that he can be there for Y/N always, that he loves their sister.
Yet they never listened to him.
And now, he just felt insecure and incompetent compared to her successful brothers. Will they even like him? Probably not, never. And he'll remain inferior to them. How can he even give the bright future to Y/N when he cannot even secure a business deal? That her brother's company is better than his. How can he even show them that he loves their sister when they clearly favor her ex-boyfriend? How can he even prove his love when they're after all his every move and just waiting for him to slip up?
Maybe her brothers are right, Y/N is a far-flung dream. A dream he cannot keep even if he had already reached for it.
Y/N was so surprised when Yuta asked where they were and he came to the same shop in the mall. "When did you get back?" she asked, hugging him tight. Yuta saw how her older brother, Jungwoo, smiled timidly at him. He obviously doesn't like him.
He had to explain that the negotiation failed and he came back as soon as possible, even whispering that he missed her. Again, the other guy's reaction showed his clear distaste towards him, as what he expected. Yuri was ecstatic seeing him that he had to carry her while they stroll around the mall.
Jungwoo felt left out. He was supposed to hang out with his sister but now, he looks like a third wheel since they look like a small family. She looks happy, even blending in with Yuta and Yuri. Like a puzzle piece that completes the whole picture. Honestly, they look good together.
Yuta was attentive to the two girls even if he was a little wary of him, making Jungwoo wonder. Does Yuta not like him? Why is he so awkward? "Daddy, I want the Barbie shoes!" Yuri complained, pointing at the white rubber shoes that light up and even have wheels under them. Of course, it's a child's favorite. Jungwoo remembered how he and Y/N begged their mom to buy them those same shoes when they were young. Those rubber shoes with wheels that is super famous when they were kids. But it was their parents and two older brothers who kept on saying that it would be dangerous. Yuta explained that it wasn't the shoes she needed for school but the younger one was insisting on getting those shoes. "Mommy," she called, reaching for Y/N. "I want those shoes."
The older girl kneeled down and put the black shoes on the younger, "I'll buy you those shoes if you wear this in school."
"Y/N, don't."
The kneeling girl smiled, "It's fine. I'll just borrow money from Jungwoo oppa and pay him later." she claimed then faced the younger girl who stopped crying, "Let's go get that shoes, Yuri."
"Y/N!" Yuta shouted which made her flinch. Everyone in the shop stared at them like it was a scene from a drama. "I said don't. Stop spoiling, Yuri." Y/N was about to say something when he brushed his fingers on his hair and released an exasperated sigh. "You are my fiancée, not her mother. Stop making my daughter grow used to you."
"Yuta, I know how it feels to want something and not get it." She said calmly, walking to where Yuta is. "I'm sorry if I'm overstepping my boundaries. I just want Yuri to like me." Y/N reached a hand to hold Yuta's but he swat it away, startling her. "Yuta, you're just sensitive from the flight and the company…"
"No, Y/N, I'm not." He said quietly then lightly glanced at Jungwoo. "Your brothers are right, this wouldn't work out." She looked startled at the sentence and even Jungwoo flinched at what he claimed, "Let's stop this, Y/N."
The girl had to silently call his name, eyes begging not to do this here. "Let's go, Yuri." The child was crying but Yuta was already dragging her outside the shop. Jungwoo stepped forward to check his sister but she moved her hand away, begging him not to say or do anything.
It was a crying fest. Jungwoo and Y/N had always been together since birth but this is the first time he saw her cry this much. "She didn't even cry that hard when she and Taeyong broke up," Jaehyun claimed, thumb fidgeting on top of the table. "I knew something was wrong with that octopus."
"Did he really say that to our sister in front of the crowd?" Johnny asked and the youngest of the brothers nodded meekly. Doyoung sighed in response.
The door opened followed by their mom coming in from work. The four greeted her quietly with the usual kiss on her cheek. "Is Y/N not home yet?" she asked then followed up, "Did something happen?" Maybe it was motherly instincts, Jungwoo thought. Their mom had always been too keen on observations like these. "Why are the four of you meeting in a dining room like this again? Are you planning to stop your sister's wedding again?"
Johnny looked startled, their mom knew? "You are all my children and you aren't that discreet in your plans." she shrugged. "You're lucky your sister's fiancé isn't calling you out for it but you always show how much you hated him." Yuta knew as well? "If you really want your sister to be happy, you'll let her marry the person she wants to marry. Yuta isn't bad. I can see that he loves your sister very much."
"He doesn't." Jaehyun spoke up, "He called off the wedding."
Their mom let out an ugly gasp and then glanced at the stairs leading to the second floor of their house. "Mom, it's not our fault this time." Doyoung claimed then gestured for Jungwoo, "Woo, tell her what happened."
"I think we're partly at fault." The youngest claimed, making Johnny stare at him in question. "Mom was right. Yuta knew and he probably got fed up because of us." He explained before finishing it off with, "We just made our sister miserable."
"You're her brothers, it's your duty to protect her." Their mom exclaimed, "There's no one who can fix this but the four of you."
—--------
“Y/N, I cooked your favorite seafood chowder,” Jungwoo said after knocking on their sister’s door. Doyoung was next to speak up, “You haven’t eaten anything. Can you come out to eat?”
Jaehyun lightly knocked on the door, “We have your favorite chocolate cake.”
“Leave me alone!” she shouted from inside, making the boys look at each other with a sigh.
The oldest had to knock on the door which created a loud sound. “Come out, we have to talk.”
Y/N has her favorites, that was what Jungwoo was thinking when the door opened. The room was very dark and she was standing in the doorway, head bowed down. “Are you now happy that the wedding wouldn’t happen?” she said in a hoarse voice, “Isn’t this what you wanted all along?”
“We didn’t want this to happen, Y/N.” Johnny exclaimed.
The girl had to look at them, tears threatening to fall from her eyes again. “You did!” she shouted. “This was your plan. You were the reason why Yuta doesn’t want to marry me anymore.” She bowed down again, holding on to the door frame as if really tired. A sob can be heard coming from her as her body was shaking. “I thought if you come back home, I’ll be happy. But ever since you returned, I only grew anxious that there's nothing I can do to make you like Yuta." She confessed. “Sometimes, I wish you didn’t come home.”
Jungwoo called her name but it was Doyoung who shook his head. “Do you know why I love Yuta?” By now, her knees gave up on her from too much crying. The four just stared at her devastated state, not knowing what to do or how to react. “He’s manly like Johnny oppa,” she narrated then glanced up at her eldest brother. “He is full of wisdom like Doyoung oppa. He always makes me smile like Jaehyun oppa.” Her gaze fell from the second brother to the next one the stopped at the youngest, “And he takes care of me a lot like Jungwoo oppa.”
“When you started having your own lives, I felt left out. Although I always see you or talk to you, it feels different.” She had her head bowed again, staring at the floor. But her tears were falling on the floor, obvious by the pitter-patter sound it creates. “I miss you. I miss us. The five of us together.” Her voice came with a choke. "So when Yuta came, it felt as if we were together again. That I found the four people I miss so much in one person."
Doyoung was the first one to kneel down to pat her head, tears threatening to fall from his eyes. "I'm sorry. We're sorry, Y/N." he said in a soft voice, "We didn't mean to leave you, princess. But when dad died, we figured we needed to do something to help our family." He claimed logically, "Jaehyun had his internship, Jungwoo had to finish his course, and you're going to college. So we had to work, Johnny hyung and I, for our family."
She shook her head, "I'm not saying that it's a bad thing oppa, I appreciate what you have done for our family. I just…" she trailed off then paused as if looking for the right words to say. "Sometimes I wish you would come home every Holiday or special occasions. Sometimes I wish you were here when I needed you." She hastily wiped her tears, breathing hard.
"When I broke up with Taeyong, I had to handle the heartbreak all by myself. I wish you helped me at that time." The three stared at Jungwoo who returned a confused gaze at them. “I can't bother mom. And Yuta was the only one who helped me a lot, the one who actually listened to my side of the story.”
The youngest brother kneeled in front of her, holding the strand of her hair in front of her crying face. “I’m sorry. I should be here for you that time but I don’t know how to console you when I’m the one who introduced him to you.” He explained then wiped her tears with his thumb, “But you know, I’m always here for you. I always cook you breakfast even if you never eat them.” He complained with a pout.
Y/N let out a soft laugh, sniffing. “I’m grateful, oppa. But sometimes I feel like you don’t listen to me.” Jungwoo was startled. “I asked you repeatedly to fix my ventilator and mom's aircon yet you always forget.” He nodded as if remembering it just now. “And you’re supposed to be my ally in this, yet you were planning things with oppas behind my back.”
“I am your ally,” Jaehyun spoke up, slowly raising his hand. The three glared at him and the girl had to pout, “No you’re not! You call Yuta an octopus.” He muttered a silent ‘sorry’. “And I hope you’re serious about Risa.” She claimed before bowing down to hide her tears again, “Maybe it’s my only way to see Yuta again.”
The tears came back, making Doyoung sigh. Johnny had to sit down on the floor, holding her hand. “We did this and we’ll undo it, Y/N." He promised, genuine resolution can be heard in his voice. "We will talk to Yuta and maybe…”
“He doesn’t want me anymore,” she said in a soft voice, crying louder. “There’s nothing we can do to make him come back.”
Maybe, Johnny thought. But she’s obviously still in love with him. He's not sure if Yuta feels the same way but if their plans to cancel the marriage are such fails, maybe their plans are really for the marriage to happen.
And for their sister, they have to fix this. A wedding should happen.
V. Wedding?
Y/N was sick for two days because of exhaustion. Doyoung was under her guidance while Jungwoo would always buy her fruits or cook whatever she wanted to eat. When she went to work that Wednesday morning, her brothers were all with her. Doyoung was driving, repeatedly asking her if she was ready to go to work. The three were just tagging along since they were going to the city.
It looked comical when Y/N went out of the van in her usual cheerful self but completely changed into a meek girl when a Rolls Royce pulled on the valet parking. "I'm going inside." They watched her walk slowly inside, following the CEO of the company.
"Do you think they'll meet in the elevator like those in movies?" Jungwoo asked but his older brothers shrugged. That will probably happen. Maybe they can know the details of their meeting again later.
She was quiet when she came home. Even if Johnny kept pestering her about how her day went, she would just remain quiet about it. Maybe something did happen. When she went up to her room, the four met up again in the dining room. They cannot let their sister be like this.
If there is someone who can undo everything, that would be the four of them.
—----
Yuta was walking to the car park for his lunch. Not that he has a meeting or anything, he just wanted to be out in the office and maybe get some fresh air. He feels depressed inside the office, especially whenever he would see Y/N. There was something inside him that made seeing her uncomfortable. It's eating him up. He misses her so much.
He was surprised when his sight got blocked by some fabric, someone holding his arms and dragging him somewhere. Wait. Kidnapping? In broad daylight? "What's this? Where are you taking me?" He tried squirming to break free but the two people holding him wouldn't budge. Yuta knew he was put inside a van, he could feel a man beside him on the left while another person sat on his right side and closed the door.
When the fabric was removed from his sight, he only saw the person on the passenger seat and then realized what or who it was. Of course. Do they hate him so much that they result in this? "Are you here to kill me for hurting Y/N?" he asked. Jaehyun, who was seated on his right side, scoffed. "Please just do it quickly."
The eldest, who was seated on the passenger seat, turned to look at him in surprise. "We're not that evil, Yuta. We just wanted to talk to you."
"Jaehyun is just stupid for pitching the idea of kidnapping you," Doyoung claimed, driving. Jungwoo nodded which made the third brother whine. "So, is there any place you want to go and have lunch?"
Yuta was startled when Doyoung drove to the outskirts of town and into a small seaside place that sells a variety of seafood dishes. Yuta only wanted to get lunch outside, to breathe in fresh air, and maybe eat lunch without thinking about her. What are the odds that in staying away from her, he would end up having lunch with her brothers?
It was a calm seafood restaurant. The huge shrimps, the live octopus, and even the delicious scent of grilled fish can be smelled with the seawater breeze. A smile formed on his lips, “Y/N would love to eat here.” He unconsciously claimed then stopped, glancing at the four who only looked at him in surprise or with amusement on their face. “I’m sorry,” he said quietly. “I didn’t mean to hurt her. I was so angry because of the company…” he lightly glanced at Johnny who looked startled. “I thought it was one of your plans. And you are truly successful, I felt really insecure that time.”
“The company?” Johnny asked then nodded as if just realizing it. “That’s why your name is familiar." He claimed then shrugged, "But I swear, I didn’t do anything to sabotage you.”
“I know,” Yuta claimed. Jungwoo gave Doyoung a questioning look but he shrugged, motioning that he doesn’t know what they were talking about as well. “I’m really sorry for hurting Y/N.”
Jaehyun sliced one of the octopus tentacles and gave it to Yuta who was sitting across from him. “You should tell Y/N that, not us.”
Yuta sighed after thanking him, “I wanted to. But every time I see her, I get scared.” He breathed heavily, “She didn’t deserve getting hurt by someone like me.” Jungwoo shook his head, he had his reasons. If only Y/N is here to listen to Yuta’s apology. “I don’t think I can give her the same love as you give her, the love she deserves. I’m scared I might just hurt her again.”
“Yuta, why our sister?” Johnny asked. “Six months is a short time. Why do you want to marry her so suddenly?” A smile can be seen on the Japanese man’s lips as if relieving that moment.
It was two months ago, he was in the airport waiting for his flight to Japan. It was a much-needed meeting for the expansion of the company, a day he had been waiting for ever since he became the company CEO. Yuta was checking emails sent to his phone when it rang, showing his girlfriend’s number. Immediately, he picked it up but stopped when he heard her groaning on the other line. “What’s wrong?”
“Nothing.” She said in a soft voice then moaned quietly. “I just called to check if you're boarding already."
"Almost." He can hear cars and even a distinct honking, yet he cannot miss the sound of her labored breaths. “Y/N, where are you? Are you alright?”
“I’m on my way to work but my stomach is kinda hurting.” She released a disgruntled sound then masked it with a giggle, "I'm fine. Sorry."
Yuta sighed, "You've been complaining about your stomach for a while now. Just take a leave and go to the hospital." he ordered and she hummed in response. "Do you want me to call someone from your home?"
"They're all at work. No worries." She claimed then groaned once again. The announcement of boarding to the passengers heading to Japan can be heard in the speakers. "Have a safe trip, Yuta. I'll see you when you get back." There was tiredness in her voice, a soft groan between her goodbye. She might be in a lot of pain.
Y/N hung up the call but Yuta was worried. She’s alone in the streets, with an aching stomach. And although the speaker kept on calling for the passengers of the plane number Yuta had on his ticket, he knew he shouldn’t be in that place at that moment.
“So you went to her?” Johnny asked, “What about your meeting in Japan? You said it's important.”
“Japan wouldn’t go away and it's not as important as I thought it would be.” Yuta had a small smile on his face, "Seeing her and making sure that she feels better is much more important that time."
The youngest brother butt in, worry present on his features. "Wait, she never told me that she went to the hospital. What happened to her?”
The doctors ruled it out as an ulcer. Luckily, it’s not too severe that she doesn’t require surgery but she cannot skip her meals and was advised to stop drinking coffee which made Y/N pout. She was still squirming on her hospital bed, complaining that her stomach still hurts even if the doctor gave her medicine. She was so pale, lips looking so chapped that Yuta was glad he came to her. Imagine being alone in this state? “It’s because you never eat breakfast before coming to work.” He scolded, pulling the blanket up to cover her stomach.
She glanced at the IV drip on her hand, “It feels lonely to eat breakfast at home." She confessed in a soft voice, "Although Jungwoo oppa would always cook for me, he never once ate breakfast with me.” She continued, “I’m so used to eating my meals with my brothers, fighting with them on who would take the last sunny side up egg." Y/N chuckled lightly then shook her head, "But now, it just feels empty.”
She stared at something on the blanket covering her legs and when she spoke up, Yuta just realized that she was crying. “But I don’t want Jungwoo oppa to stop cooking for me. That’s the only reminder that he’s still with me.” She didn’t even cry when her stomach was hurting but her tears were falling at the thought of her brothers.
"I don’t want to bother them. Mom is already too old to take care of me, Jungwoo and Jaehyun oppa are probably too busy to worry about me. And I doubt Johnny and Doyoung oppa would come home just because of a simple stomach ache.” She said with a giggle, her tears falling on her cheeks. "I miss them."
“God, Y/N is so stupid!” Jungwoo exclaimed, sniffing lightly. Yuta was quick to hand him some tissues, continuing “I was so jealous of the four of you that time. I thought if I’m reborn again, I want to be Y/N’s brother and be loved like that.” He said with a timid smile on his face, a far away look on his face.
“So that’s why you asked her to marry you?” Doyoung asked but Yuta shook his head.
“I’m fine now,” Y/N exclaimed while wiping the tears from her eyes. “I'm sorry you had to go here and take care of me. Should I rebook you a ticket to Japan? You can still make it to the meeting, right?”
Yuta smiled then sat on the seat beside her, “It's fine. I won't leave your side until the IV is gone and I'm sure that you'll be discharged.” Her eyes widened in surprise and he chuckled. "From now on, I'll pick you up early and we'll eat breakfast together so I can be sure that you won't miss your meals." He took the doctor's note on the table and opened his alarm from the phone, typing the hours when she should take her medicine. "I'm going to remind you when to drink medicine and I'll ban coffee in the office from now on."
Her eyes started turning misty again and he stood up in panic, asking why she was crying again. Yuta repeatedly asked if her stomach hurts or if he needed to call for a doctor and she hastily shook her head, smiling. “Yuta, can I marry you?” He had a surprised expression on his face. Is she delirious? Is this the side effect of her medicine? Or because she cried too much? “You’re actually the first person who chose me over something else and I didn’t know that it would feel like this. I feel special, it’s a good feeling. I like this feeling."
The guy sat on the edge of her bed, tucking the loose strand of hair behind her ear. “I will always choose you, Y/N. And I promise I will always be here whenever you need me or whenever you need someone. I'm your boyfriend and it's my duty to take care of you.” He muttered sincerely, holding her hand tight. The warmth of her soft hands and the crazy beating of his heart, small things he wanted to keep feeling for the rest of his life. All because of her. "We’ll head in that direction anyway so let’s get married.”
“Wait, hold up! Rewind.” Jaehyun exclaimed. “It was our sister who proposed to you?” Yuta nodded, smiling at the memory. “God! What is wrong with that girl? Did she get hit in the head or something?”
“To be honest, it’s hard to wake up in the morning knowing that there wouldn’t be a chance for us to be together.” He confessed, “If I can undo everything, I’ll choose to not hurt her.” In a quiet voice, Yuta continued. "I'm sorry. I really regret saying those words a lot."
“I truly love your sister. I don’t know if it still matters now but I don’t think I can ever love someone the way I love her.”
“Of course, it still matters.” Jungwoo noted. “You can still make up with her.” Yuta’s ears perked up at that. He can? “By paying for our meal,” Jaehyun claimed but the two older than him hushed him, making Yuta laugh. He agreed to pay since it was his idea to eat seafood in the first place. But Johnny leaned closer to the table, “And paying for the wedding.”
“What wedding?”
“Yours and Y/N’s wedding.” The second brother supplied. "You still want to marry our sister right?"
—----
It was a typical Saturday. Y/N woke up checking her phone battery and then scrolling on her feed before deciding to check on her email. Since she doesn't have any work this day, might as well do laundry. But the moment she woke up, something didn't feel right.
She was used to having the house to herself on Saturdays. Her mom usually goes out early for her morning exercises and Jungwoo would be on his way to work when she wakes up. When Doyoung came back, he would always be in the house but he's usually holed up in his room reading books. Johnny and Jaehyun would also be sleeping since it's early in the weekend. But today, Jaehyun's voice speaking to someone can be heard from inside her room. "I don't think she's up yet." Is he referring to her? "I can't come inside her room, that's inappropriate." The girl chuckled. He can just knock.
"I'm up. What is it?" Y/N shouted in a sleepy voice, taking her bath towel to do her morning routine. "Why are you so noisy in the morning?"
"Great!" Jaehyun shouted then knocked on the youngest door, "Fix yourself and wear something white. I'll wait for you outside." Wait, what? Something white? Y/N stood in the middle of her room in confusion, where are they going on a Saturday morning?
The confusion grew when she went down the stairs, wearing jeans and a basic white tee, and Jaehyun was wearing a dress shirt. He stared at her in surprise then shook his head, “Nevermind, we’re already late.” He then held her hand, dragging her into his car. The oldest didn’t mention anything, just that Doyoung is going to kill him. “And you’re not wearing makeup?”
“You didn’t even tell me where we’re going,” she complained, pulling down the mirror from his dashboard and applying a little lip-gloss that she had in her small bag. Jaehyun answered that they were heading to the church which startled her. Are they attending a funeral? Or are they attending a wedding? Then she’s underdressed. And Jaehyun is obviously overdressed. Is he the groom? “Church? Are you getting married?”
He glared at her, “Next year.” The girl just nodded in the realization that the playboy brother has plans of settling down. She wanted to tease him for it but he looked so agitated that she just kept her mouth shut. If Jaehyun, the playboy, has plans of settling down, what about her other brothers? It's impossible that they haven't fallen in love while in a foreign place. She only knew Jungwoo almost dated the girl of his dreams but she moved away to study abroad. What about Johnny and Doyoung? Should she ask them about their romantic relationships?
The idea of watching a wedding made her meek that she leaned in on the leather of the passenger seat. Will she ever even get married? She had been dreaming of that moment ever since she was a kid and was chosen as a flower girl at every wedding. A grand church wedding with her, wearing a beautiful white gown with a long terrain. All her family members and guests smile fondly at what they call a blushing bride. Her groom, looking at her with a lot of love in his eyes, slightly tearing up. The lovely smile he has whenever looking at her, wider at the sight of her in a wedding dress.
Yuta looking so dashing in a tuxedo. She shook her head at the thought. It will be an imagery she might not ever see.
Will she be happy if she marries someone else? Will she find love the same as what she felt with Yuta? Maybe not. And it made her feel worse because she was missing Yuta again. When can this heartbreak end?
“You’re late!” Doyoung scolded the two then stopped, “Why are you only wearing a t-shirt?” The girl had a confused look on her face seeing the other three brothers in their dress shirts. Clearly, she’s the only underdressed one. But Jaehyun never mentioned where they're going so she clearly doesn’t have any idea. What are they even doing here?
Jungwoo smiled then wrapped a piece of cloth with lace designs on her waist, covering her blue jeans. “It’s fine. You still look lovely.” He lightly fixed her unruly hair which confused her. What is this?
“Wait, what…?” Y/N stopped when she felt Johnny put something on her head. A veil. “What is this?”
The eldest placed both his hands on her shoulders, smiling sincerely at her. “You’ve already grown up, Y/N.” He kissed the top of her head startling her. Johnny had never been the touchy-feely brother, he hated skinship the most so this is a surprise. The three others had adoring smiles on their faces as she stared at them in fright and confusion. “We’ll meet you in front.”
Y/N was lost. What is happening? And it’s too early in the morning for her brain to comprehend what her brothers are planning to do. When her mom came to her, wearing her silver gown from the party and the diamond earrings that Yuta had given her, everything clicked. She handed the younger a bouquet of lilies, smiling wide. “Mom, what is all this? Did you plan this?”
“I hope I did. But it’s all your brothers…” she claimed just as the doors of the church opened, surprising her. The aisle was decorated with a red carpet, pink and white rose petals adorning the path to the altar that she knew by heart. “And him.” Her eyes trailed to the person standing at the end of the aisle, looking so dashing in his tuxedo. The imagery she thought she wouldn't ever see.
“I’m sorry your dad isn’t here," Her mom started which made Y/N turn to the older. "But I’m sure he’ll be proud of what you have become, our little princess.” Her mom fixed her hair, eyes misty just from looking at her. “I’m so glad you met a prince who will love you and protect you more than we did.”
Y/N’s tears clouded her eyes and she looked up to prevent them from falling, making her mom release the tears she had been holding on to. The younger laughed, they look like complete fools crying in front of the church doors. “You are such a crybaby. I hope Yuta has a great sense of humor so you wouldn’t cry too much.” Y/N giggled, letting her mom wipe her tears. “Let’s go to your prince?” She lent her hand which Y/N took while smiling widely. When they faced the front, she held on to her mom’s arms and clung to her like when she was little.
Y/N had fond memories in this church so it’s a surprise that this fake wedding is happening here. When they were young, her brothers would always hold her hand and they would run to the altar, kneeling in front of the huge cross.
“We always do this before you were born,” Jungwoo claimed then put his hands together. “We always pray for a younger sister to make our days brighter.” Doyoung would continue, copying what the three other brothers are doing. Y/N had to copy what they were doing, closing her eyes as Jungwoo does but peeking by opening one eye to see what her other brothers were doing. "But He gave us a little devil.” Jaehyun teased, looking at her pointedly. The youngest would whine at the nickname, tears already forming in her eyes which would make Johnny laugh, “Our little devil princess.”
The aisle felt so long back then that she would want to skip church service just so her brothers wouldn’t make her run. The journey had always been long in her eyes but now, it felt short. She indeed grew up. From the left side of the altar, she saw Yuri waving her hand while holding the basket half-filled with rose petals with her other hand. Y/N is not the flower girl anymore. She can already have her own flower girl. Risa was behind the younger girl, smiling widely at her.
Y/N’s gaze turned to the right side where her brothers were lined up behind Yuta. They obviously grew up as well. They look so good in their dress shirts that she's annoyed that she's the only unattractive person inside the church. While nearing the altar, her heart felt like dropping to the floor with every step. Her stomach felt funny, she was nauseous. Is this her ulcer acting out again? Hopefully, not. Her senses were returned when her mom let go of her hand, “Please take care of my daughter, Yuta.” Yuta nodded before taking her hand.
It was awkward, a feeling she never associated with Yuta. It was a feeling she never thought she'd feel with Yuta. Is he forced to do this? He made it clear that he doesn’t want to get married, especially to her. So what is this now? “If my brothers are forcing you to do this, please know that you can run away. I’ll take care of it.” She tried to look for the humor in all of these. She's tired of crying, her brothers shouldn't play with her heart like this.
But Yuta only answered in a serious tone, “I think it’s you who will run away from me.” She hardly doubts that.
"Why? You said this wouldn't work out."
Yuta breathed heavily, holding both her hands. He was sweating, hands shaking. “I’m sorry, Y/N." There was sincerity in his voice that made her gulp. "You were right, I was sensitive at that time but it’s not an excuse to say those hurtful words to you.” Yuta started, staring directly at her. “I should have apologized in the office the first time but when I saw you, looking at me without a smile on your face, it breaks me. I’m used to seeing you smiling, excited to see me, and I ruined all of that because of my insecurity.”
It feels like everything is quiet as Yuta’s voice kept on resonating in Y/N’s ears. That even if there are people around, there’s only the two of them at the moment. “You don’t deserve to be hurt by someone like me. And I understand if you don’t want to forgive me for hurting you.” He looked down, thumbs brushing along her knuckles. “You can walk away from all of this…”
“Yah Yuta!” Jungwoo called and Y/N had to look at her brothers in surprise. "You can't make her run away." She raised an eyebrow, they’re against her running away? “You already spent a lot on this.” Of course. Everything will be put to waste.
But it was the man in front of her who shook his head, assuring Y/N that she had the freedom to choose what she wanted. Jaehyun only gave a frustrated sigh, whispering “You two are the same. Heaven and hell would rumble if the two of you don’t end up together.”
It was a weird feeling. Just almost a week ago, they were so against her marrying a guy she only dated for six months. Now, they're against her running away from that same man? There must be something wrong with her brothers.
But there must be something wrong with her if she doesn't want to run away. “What if I stay?” Yuta looked at her in surprise. Does he not expect that from her? “What if I wanted to stay, Yuta? Will I get hurt?” There was hope when Yuta stared at Y/N. His eyes got teary, amusing the girl in front of him. He shook his head, cogs in his brain whirling for the right words to say but the girl stepped forward that their bodies are touching and in a soft voice, claimed with a naughty smile. “I don’t mind getting hurt by you.”
“Oh my God!” Johnny exclaimed then stepped forward, separating the two of them. “You’re still not married, calm down little miss."
Y/N giggled, "You didn't have to set this up. We can just talk in the office. You had to bother someone else's marriage for this setup." The five guys had to look at her in confusion and Risa was the one who spoke up, “It’s a real wedding. You and Yuta are getting married.”
"Seriously?" Then as if on cue, the person in charge of the ceremony came. “In my shirt and jeans? I’m wearing rubber shoes, for crying out loud.” She glanced at her brothers who were laughing at what she said. “And you’re alright with this?” The four nodded in unison which made her raise an eyebrow. “For real?”
Doyoung shrugged, stepping in front of her and fixing her veil. “Yuta isn’t a bad guy. We realized he loves you more than we think he does.” Johnny nodded, continuing “And if we are going to send you away to someone, Yuta should be that man.” Jungwoo only nodded at their brothers' words. “Besides, you already cried too much for him. You might not have enough tears for him.” Jaehyun claimed, smiling with his dimples popping out from his cheeks. “Right, Yuta hyung?”
Hyung? Y/N had an amused look on her face. “When did the five of you get close?” They glanced at each other, grinning. “Octopus.” They said in unison that only started her. Huh?
Y/N's was suddenly feeling dizzy at how fast everything is going. "Sorry if this is too sudden," Yuta whispered while the priest kept on telling them the duties of husband and wife. "When your brothers suggested this, I didn't think much and just wanted to be married to you immediately."
"What if I chose to run away earlier?" She whispered, leaning in lightly.
Yuta tugged her closer, "I'm ready to chase you." He gestured on the floor and Y/N grinned seeing the black and white rubber shoes that are the same as what she was wearing. The couple rubber shoes they bought together during their second month anniversary. "So let's redo this wedding, not wearing our rubber shoes."
The priest asked Yuta if he is willing to take Y/N as his wife and he immediately said yes without the priest finishing his sentence. He apologized after causing some chuckles then answered with a smiling 'I do'. Y/N was mirroring the same expression he has, holding both his hands tight as she said the words 'I do'. This really isn't the wedding she had in mind when she first proposed to Yuta and they started talking about the said event. But holding the person she missed so much, she realized that this is better than the wedding she had in mind. "I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride."
Y/N and Yuta had to first look at the four boys as if asking for permission. Their mom laughed and Johnny had to turn around, waving his hand as if telling them to just do it. Y/N grinned before wrapping her arms around Yuta's neck, lightly pulling him for a kiss. A silent curse can be heard, making Yuta giggle in between the kiss.
—----
"When are they gonna stop kissing?" Johnny whispered, leaning on Doyoung while watching his sister kissing her husband. "Aren't they sick of each other?"
Jungwoo giggled, overhearing what his brother said. "Hyung, you'll feel like that when you find the right girl." Jaehyun claimed then shook his head, "But isn't it too much? Isn't it bad for the baby for them to be horny like that?"
Y/N's dream wedding did come true, six months after the small church wedding. It was a grand wedding, in a bigger church, filled with flowers and all their relatives and friends who were happy for the newlyweds. Her long terrain of wedding gown attracted attention but what's really eye-catching is her six-month baby bump.
"Oppas!" Y/N called, motioning her brothers to come over for a picture. Their mom was next to her, and the four guys behind the couple as they posed for a picture. Yuta suggested a family picture and he quickly ran beside the photographer who kept on taking pictures of the six of them. After just three shots, Johnny called him over once again. "It's not a family without you. Come back here, Yuta." The girl had a smile on her face as Yuta returned to his original position, holding his arm as she leaned her head on his arm.
After a series of pictures, their mom excused herself to greet some of her friends who attended the wedding. Yuta was charming enough to help her with the steps, even walking with her to where her friends are. Y/N turned to face her brothers who were all smiling at her, fondly.
"You look really pretty." Jungwoo complimented her, fixing the veil behind her head. "A real blushing pregnant bride."
The girl had to giggle at that before gazing at her four brothers. “Thank you, oppas.” she started, smiling timidly. “For making my dream wedding possible.”
Johnny smiled at her, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear. “Anything for you, Y/N. I hope, as your brothers, we made you happy.” Jaehyun groaned in disgust, making the younger girl giggle at the cheesiness in his words. “Married or not, even if I’m a Nakamoto now, I’m still your sister.”
“Forever sister.” Jungwoo claimed and Doyoung had to continue, “The only sister.” The oldest shook his head, pointing at Jaehyun. “But don’t forget that we might have a new sister next year.”
Y/N had a teasing smile at her third brother who only shrugged as if he didn't know what they were talking about. “Do you want me to throw the bouquet at Risa later?" Jaehyun nodded, "Please do, we have to get married next year or she might just bump her head and break up with me." Doyoung shook his head whispering that he hoped Risa would really bump his head.
Who would have thought that the playboy earlier this year would find his true love? That the person who their mom thought would be hopeless when it comes to romance would be the second person to get married in the family? Jungwoo was even surprised that when he checked his older brother's phone, there were only four numbers of girls in his contacts: their mom, their sister, Risa, and Yuri. A 360 change from his typical playboy ways.
Yuta returned to where they were, holding the younger girl by the waist and asking her if she wanted to sit down for a while. Y/N had to shake her head as he lightly grazed his hand on her stomach as if in instinct. “Yuta, remember to call me a week before your due date so I can come home early," Johnny claimed and the other nodded.
Johnny had to quickly return to Chicago after the wedding for some company matters concerning Yuta’s company. It turned out that the company in Chicago will have a problem supplying from the large demands of the French client they were working with. So he decided to ask help from Yuta's own company to manufacture the machines needed. The Japanese CEO was supposed to come with his wife’s oldest brother, even if he doesn’t want to leave his pregnant wife alone. Hearing his reason, Johnny volunteered to take care of it on his own and just update Yuta from time to time.
Doyoung also had to return quickly to Morocco and get back to work since his vacation is so long overdue. He honestly thought that he'll be suspended from the hospital for being away for too long but the hospital needed him more than he thought. Now, he is allowed to take leaves as long as he'll comes back to work for them. He made sure that he’ll come home during the Holidays and when the baby gets born.
“Are you going on a honeymoon after the wedding?” Jungwoo asked. Clearly, the honeymoon came first. But since it’s their wedding, they can’t go back immediately to the office, right? And now that Y/N is the CEO’s wife, doesn’t that mean that she should stop being an employee of the company her husband owns? The girl looked at her husband before smiling widely at the youngest brother, “Yuta has to go back to the office while I stay at home for the time being.”
“I thought you were moving to your new house after this wedding,” Jaehyun asked. They often hear from their sister that Yuta had already purchased a house for them to live in. “Isn’t that your plan?”
It was Yuta who nodded. “But Y/N is always craving Jungwoo’s food in the morning and she gets cranky the whole day when I cook. So she wanted to stay in your house for the meantime.” The girl nodded, Doyoung had to laugh at that while Jungwoo just looked astounded. “And the house is still in renovation.”
Johnny looked surprised, “Isn’t it a fully furnished house?”
What Yuta said next surprised them, “Y/N wanted to put a third floor for your rooms in case you visit or you decide to live with us.” The four stared at their sister who was only grinning at them, “We’ll get it ready before you get home for little bean’s arrival.”
Jungwoo stepped closer tapping Yuta’s shoulder, “You know, Y/N, you’re lucky Yuta fell in love with you.” The third brother nodded, “Who would even suggest making a room for her brothers in their house? That’s just stupid, Y/N.” Yuta only laughed, shaking his head while explaining that he actually liked the idea. “You two are really meant to be,” Doyoung claimed.
“We’re glad you’re married,” Johnny started, which made the three nod. “Or we might have a hard time sending you away.”
“What does that mean?” Y/N revolted with a pout. Why does it feel like they’re talking bad about her? Jaehyun slung an arm around Yuta, “Good luck on this little devil, our brother-in-law.”
“Take care of her or we might kidnap you again.” Y/N had to giggle at what her oldest brother claimed, remembering the story of her brothers taking Yuta out to eat in a seafood restaurant. The five had to bring her to the exact same place so she won’t get angry at them.
Yuta slipped his arm on her waist, smiling at his wife with a lot of love in his eyes. “I will. I won’t hurt her and get on your bad sides again, brothers-in-law.”
“I’m glad we’re clear on that, brother-in-law.” Doyoung threatened, making Yuta grin. Jungwoo continued, “Our only brother-in-law.”
