The composition originally was going to be a lot different (had two in mind) where the Red King’s involvement would’ve been more prominent. Went with this one simply cuz it was just more fun to experiment, where the negative space is made front and centre focus :]

Whennnn picking out the plants ddint think for a second about symbolism- and going off of just ANY flower for flower language would have been too big of a selection pool… So in respects to SL environmental setting - native Australian plants it was.

-The golden wattle trees by its abundance and have benefited Aboriginal and Torres Straight Islanders for thousands of years to create various markers and tools. The plant survives harsh droughts, and its seeds have a coating strong enough that can be salvageable beyond bushfires.

-as a signifier of Spring and new beginnings hence rebirth, the golden wattle to me was also very thematically fitting for a season like Secret Life :]

-I never looked into what Illawarra flame trees (the flowers of the coat my SL!Bdubs design is wearing) before until today.. and I quote “Regains confidence and self-approval, able to make commitments with the strength of self-reliance. Clarity in life and ability to adapt to all situations. Secure enough to express and communicate true feelings. To be beautiful and strong ” [SOURCE: Australian Bushflowers] which…. Ok damn. There’s also alcohol in it.

-Eucalyptus trees in Indigenous Australian culture represent the division between the underworld, the Earth and heaven.

The selection of plants while don’t represent Bloodhounds together - but more of what Martyn and Bdubs are individually, they’re interesting in the things they have in common what they represent. And the differences they go about this loyalty throughout the seasons and why they devote - especially in LimL and SL.. Fascinating stuff.

liiikeeee doesn't he just feel like it or am i crazy... he's so warm and cute and fuzzy.. you two have been friends forever (there would probably be a lot of like right people wrong time) and you both realize you like each other but are too scared to confess in fear of ruining your friendship so it all remains a secret till it probably slips out from one of his friends and well you know the rest.

like everyone says this but i think its so so accurate like he'd be perfect in an academic rivals or office enemies; he would tease and annoy you at any occasion and then realize he's fallen for you but won't admit it ever, and i think he'd become even more annoying when he realizes that he likes you just to suppress those feelings.

jeongin - secret relationship

so errrm hear me out okay, it's the way he's so careful with stuff but he's also so secretive about his feelings i feel like when he finally gets himself to confess and you agree he just needs time. that time would be spent hiding every kiss and holding hands under the table and then walking back to wherever you need to go pretending you're still just friends when you're much more, but only you two need to know that.

Now for more!

- You have suggested therapy to the brothers. A lot. They still haven’t agreed, but you’re going to keep trying because even with you doing all you do FUCKING HELL do these boys have trauma to deal with.

- You’ve gone down and visited Lilith’s memorial in the basement a several times. You talk to her and occasionally lay a flower on her ‘grave’ and thank her for helping you in the small ways she’s been able to.

- You hired an artist to make a family portrait and have everyone in it; even Lilith. It hangs in the living room over the fireplace.

- You’ve grown to... tolerate Solomon’s cooking. You’ve told him point blank that the food isn’t really edible. You’ve told him he’s terrible at cooking. But it’s in one ear and out the other. It normally goes as such: MC: “Solomon. Honey. I love you. But your cooking is rancid!” Solomon: “You love me?!” 8D “Let me make you dinner!”

- Diavolo has plans for you to eventually teach at RAD. Mostly to teach about Earth history and cultures; which has led to you studying extra hard and wondering why Solomon isn’t going to be helping you teach since he’s lived through history. But Diavolo’s plan is for him to teach ancient languages.

- You spend some nights at the palace every month. The brothers always get jealous when you go. Especially when you come back with a tell-tale limp. Or being carried back home.

- You were sadly at ground zero when Luke snuck into Asmo’s room and his innocence became lost since Asmo had porn of himself playing on his laptop and was ‘enjoying’ it (because of course he faps to videos of himself). You tried to stop the little angel but he’s like an actual child and darts the moment you blink. Simeon was outraged, but you pointed out that Luke didn’t knock. Asmo was glad you stuck up for him because he was certain he was headed for a bath of holy water otherwise. It took Luke a month before he could stand to be around Asmo again. It took longer for Luke to look at him again.

- Since Satan is not allowed to have a real cat (not that Satan cares as he has at least 10 ‘hidden’ ones), Mammon bought him a realistic robot cat for his room. Satan nearly cried tears of joy. Satan did cry when a book-a-lance fell and broke it. Lucifer replaced it so that Satan didn’t start destroying stuff once the sadness went away.

- Lucifer knows about the cats. He lets Satan think it’s a secret so that Satan won’t try to get an amount that would be noticeable. You found this out when you went to bring Lucifer some coffee and found him petting one of Satan’s cats. You were sworn to secrecy.

- You tried edible underwear with Beel once. And only once. He accidentally bit your thigh and you have small scars from the indents of his teeth. He felt awful about it, still does, and anytime he’s between your legs for fun he kisses the scars in apology. Also he found the rest of the edible underwear you’d intended to use with others and ate them like a snack. You’ve decided to not bother with them anymore.

- Belphie and Satan ask you to every Anti-Lucifer League meeting. If you don’t attend, they email you the minutes of their meeting to see if you wanna join in in pranks.

- Despite your bedroom lock being enchanted, Diavolo can and has waltzed into your room and started cuddling you. Barbatos chastizes him every time as he comes in with him, but it still happens.

- You have shown Simeon the movie ‘Sister Act’. It’s now his favorite movie. You two sometimes sing ‘Ave Maria’ together, stomping and clapping the beat. Luke joins in when he can.

-You had a custom plush made for Levi of his goldfish. He cried tears of joy and it now sits in a glass case in his room.

Nightmare Sans

Oh sinful child, wash off your bones but never forget that blood is thicker than water. Nightmare, was it all really worth it?

Headcanons below. Warning though, I changed some stuff up for the og story to fit how I like it teehee

- Official height changes, but he can be from 5'7 to 6'6(Jesus 💀)

- He/They

- Nihilist, he despises Fate and the Creators

- The embodiment and King of Negativity/A God if you will

- His castle was created when he was corrupted, and later on decided to make it himself

- Naturally cold to the touch, he's not easily affected by temperature

- Has synesthesia, he can see and smell others emotions/aura

- He likes sea animals, they're odd and yet so pretty and mysterious

- Has khopesh blades for weapons because they're twin blades

- He dreams of other versions of him, but he can never find them and often he is haunted by them

- An angry crier, hyperventilates and gets frustrated. Tries to be quiet, but sometimes ends up being loud anyways

- Pessimistic, cynical, observant, responsible, sarcastic, serious, assertive, untrusting, cunning, ruthless, manipulative, reserved, blunt, bitter, intelligent, patient, authoritative, cocky, and stubborn

- He is outright nasty to others, the type to jab at others when possible

- He grows more exhausted overtime once his resentment and bitter anger starts to fade over time

- he is more emotionally driven when his brother is involved in fights that he gets involved in, while more logical otherwise since Dream is the only one to get him like that

- He knows he's fucked up and deep down wants to repent for the wrongs that he has done towards the multiverse. And yet, he has his duties to fulfill

- He fears being vulnerable and doesn't get close to others as a result

- He makes deals and can "play" with his victims when he chooses to. Alliances are all well and good as well, but he is only loyal for as long as the contracts are fulfilled and as long as the other is loyal

- Time thaws his heart, in truth he can feel just as much as a child as Dream at times

- They have a giant library that they read

- Has wonderful manners and speaks very formally. Due to their origins, they also happen to have an accent of some sorts

- His goo tends to always return to him so one ability of his is flicking goo before it can harden and sharpen like spikes at a location

- He can be hit with anything and not get affected unless it's a weapon from his brother

- Strong positivity makes him nauseous, lightheaded, and weak

- Can sense other people's emotions but has the most influence on negativity

- Can analyze others extremely well, reading their body language and analyzing their words

- Hobbies of theirs include reading and writing, or even playing piano since he has a fondness for it

- His magic smells of something akin to earthy scents and moisture, like oak with wet dirt that carries a faint sweetness of decay. His magic tastes something akin to apple

- He's intolerant to children being injured, bullied, or abused. It reminds him of his childhood and thus he is protective of them

- Despite scaring most children, he refuses to harm them and is quite patient and kind to them

- He misses his brother, he does. He tells Dream things he doesn't mean in moments of anger or to get at him, but he doesn't mean pretty much most of it. He doesn't actually blame Dream, at least since he's matured over time

- He never got closure when Dream turned to stone, so those wounds opened up easily when he found out that he was alive. He tried to bury his past but his brother, whose bone is of a porcelain memory to his origins, haunt him

- He can't stand the color yellow, it reminds him of Dream. But, he has secret items that are of a yellow color

- He is fond of flower language and his favorite flower is the purple hyacinth. Fun fact: hyacinth blossoms under full sunlight, and they have wonderful symbolism. Dahlias, orchids, and hydrangea are those he is fond of as well

- He treasures the few things he's gifted, but rarely does he receive anything

- He gets slightly uncomfortable around stone, even if he knows that no one is inside. It just makes him secretly nervous

- Loves animals, but he won't touch them due to his goop and negativity

- His teeth can form into sharp fangs and he has clawed hands, his bone sharpened over time

- He avoids water because if he's fully submerged you can see the inner body that negativity possesses. Aka his original one

- He usually is covered in goop but rarely does it remove around him as a sort of venom situation. In fact, the two are separate entities in some ways, working as one

- Funnily enough he's a perfectionist who likes his things organized, especially when it comes to plans

- Does not use or understand slang

- He is a wonderful strategist, he even plays chess and can use the pieces as a visual understanding of it

- Hates sleep and avoids it until it's impossible to do so

- Can go into other people's dreams and cause intense nightmares, but he cannot do the same for his own and he is forgotten the moment the individual awakes

- He actually cares deeply for a lot of things, but he refuses to acknowledge this under most circumstances. If he vocalizes it, he threatens others to not do anything towards it

- He doesn't hate Error or even Ink, but he finds both to be a pain in the ass. Ink is one of the few he can't wrap his head around and he is one of the few who suspects Ink, especially because his emotions and aura seem....odd

- A more quiet and reserved being, he doesn't talk much unless he has to address someone or when he chooses to respond

- He's hard to read due to his air of apathy, he has learned how to avoid others detecting how he feels

- Even after eons, he won't let anyone else harm Dream

- The stronger the negativity, the larger he grows

- His original name is Night, him and Nightmare are separate but very much intertwined

- His original job was to protect those from negativity and also balance emotions in hard times to guide others, allowing sadness to occur

- Used to Call Dream Sunny as his nickname, and he refuses to let anyone call him Nighty since only Dream called him that

- People like to think of Night being manipulated by negativity but also it's important to note that what if that negative entity actually did feel that pain Nighty went through and was a source of comfort for him when Mother Tree wasn't? Yes, it eventually hurt him by convincing him to eat the apples to be corrupt, but if it's a parasite in my interpretation? I'd want to be maybe like- a situation where the corruption was also genuinely caring of Nighty while simultaneously being the reason Nighty indulged in his anger and hurt

- Multilingual, he knows every language fluently

- He had time to learn how to read and write, he forgot that Dream didn't the first time he saw a tree inside an AU carved by Dream with horrible writing underneath. That realization sort of made his "soul" crumble at the thought

- He has severe thanantophobia, he actually is deeply afraid of dying despite his circumstances. It's something he stresses out about and when Dream became more dangerous, he grew more nervous

- He's actually insecure about his aura at times, especially near those he doesn't wish to harm. He worries if they don't want to be around him because of it, which just worsens his aura

- He thought Dream died long ago, as he was disoriented and was too busy grieving. He didn't actually want Dream to die, and I actually hc that he threw the cloak over Dream to protect him as an apple happened to fall underneath with Dream. He was ashamed when Dream saw him again, and saw who he became. Still, he didn't want to change his ways because of the resentment he still held at the time

- He used to visit Dream and would cry next to his statue before he went off to feed off negative timelines. Even then, he would visit on their birthday

- He destroys mirrors and refuses to look at himself. He doesn't want to remember what he used to look like or who he's now become

- He has a secret painting that he was able to create deep inside his castle, one of Dream. He has destroyed previous ones due to finding them imperfect, a disgusting reminder, etc. this one though, this one he keeps

- His favorite fruit is pomegranate, he can perfectly deseed it and it's his favorite snack other than apple pie

- He used to be great with animals, barely do any of them approach him however

- He likes forests, the scent and even the sensation. He just wishes that he could feel Mother Tree again

- He enjoys herbal tea, actually much more than coffee and his favorite is lavender tea

- He avoids anything related to apples or fire, it reminds him of his past and in fact he grows nervous about it

- Doesn't realize that his tentacles react to his emotions, going so far as to flick with irritation at times

- His tentacles often just appear at will or with extreme emotion, but when they do appear to be actually quite painful since they tore through his back bones. Nowadays, he's numb to it and the bones have attempted to grow back due to magic healing he's attempted to find

- His tentacles actually can act like tree branches or at least resemble them. Firm, shaped similar, etc

- Genderless but prefers masc pronouns

- He actually never lies, but twisting the truth so hard involves enough intellect and leaves him to be a dangerous figure

- on the aroace spectrum

- Gets really goopy when sleeping, to the point he looks boneless

- Out of respect and guilt after coming back to his senses after the incident, he used parts of Mother Tree as custom furniture inside his castle so that she doesn't go to waste at all.

- He actually could hear her screaming when he was corrupted, and that sound haunts him

- He forgot what a hug feels like, the only time he was ever hugged in his life was with Dream. Time caused him to forget

- I feel that his form, present, isn't his true form but he keeps it up because it not only was the turning point in his life, but what protected him. It's why I think it works as something else when it detached itself. The goop at this point is a different part of who he is, and only when he is alone does it detach to speak

- Even if he causes nightmares and enters inside other monsters minds, he actually just has dreams. He dreams of what would've happened if they were happy, being raised by the mother tree, if he and his brother grew up without being guardians. It haunts him, makes him question if he was actually just justified in what he did. Was his actions worth it?

- He hates losing control of situations, absolutely throws a fit

- Struggles getting drunk, so he only drinks wine and magical drinks. Smoking doesn't please him, goop covers it anyways

- He doesn't discriminate, fools. Useless hatred feeds him, sure, but that doesn't mean he agrees and even will react violently towards blatant hate crimes

Closing Notes: no one talk to me, no one look at me. I don't exist, these two are the reasons I need therapy

Happy WW! I have to pick your brain about established relationship wincest, because I agree it has a lot of untapped potential. Like, other the years how much does “brotherly-ness” go down, and “romantic partner-ness” go up? When was The Moment that they realized there really wasn’t going to be another outside relationship, that it could be them until the end? On the flip side, with canon, how much does Sam wonder "it could have been different with us"? Bc thinking about Dean II makes me so sad!

happy wincest wednesday!! (we enjoy wincest on all the days, it's fine)

So -- I'm taking a slightly different tack at this, but I think that with a lot of married/long-term romantic partners, the sibling-ness goes up a lot over time. Once you're out of the fresh lovey-dovey stage when flowers stop puking out of the beloved's eyes every time you look at them, it's like -- okay, so you have a long-form relationship with this person where you know a ton of their background and secrets; you've been together long enough that you act like each other in certain ways and share lots of in-jokes and common language; you find each other irritating in some ways but also fun in others, and you tease each other about some stuff and joke about some stuff and some stuff you just have to ignore/roll your eyes about for the sake of the house (unless you're those shitty siblings who insist on picking fights about every little thing). And like... that's Sam and Dean.

Now, adding in actual romance of course makes it different, but the thing is that they're starting pre-equipped with all of the intimacy and long-worn grooves of knowing each other that a married couple doesn't get until they've been married twenty years -- but Sam and Dean have that already! In the new-relationship era I can obv see a jitteriness destabilizing them some -- let's imagine for the sake of argument that they aren't hatefucking to start and instead it's a relatively nice coming-together (and coming, together) -- and so maybe there's a little period where they kind of don't know what to do with each other. But then Sam still farts in the car after a burrito and Dean still sings warbly and off key in the shower and they know each other, so the fact that they're also learning about each other's dicks can't wreck all that history. And, honestly, on the "romance" side of things -- while they maybe can be softer with each other, show a more tender side, get the benefit of lowered-barriers that pillow talk etc might bring -- I absolutely 100% cannot see them, like, "dating." Sam's not gonna pull Dean's chair out at a fancy restaurant they've inexplicably gone to, and Dean's not going to ask Sam to go on the ferris wheel except as a joke. They're going to keep doing the things they always did, because they are brothers and they aren't somehow awkwardly shoving that relationship into a romcom box -- they're gonna go on a hunt and to a pie fest and to the movies, and they'll act just like they always did, but maybe with handjobs after. That's what makes it *interesting* that it's an incestuous relationship, you know?

As far as The Moment -- that obviously depends on how you're writing the incesty bits, but in honest to g canon I think it's at very different speeds. Honestly, I think Dean's there about midway through s1, but it's obviously cemented after the thing with Lisa blows up (with the caveat that I'm not sure he believes Sam can feel the same until s10); for Sam, I think it takes until s11, really, because he's always looked outward -- asking Dean if he ever considers anything else, and then not arguing when Dean blows off the question -- and really sitting there in his life like, yeah. Yeah, I think this could be it. And it feels like a peaceful realization, and that point, and not the curse he might've considered it in s1 or 3 or 9.

(Sorry, I can't quite parse the last question w/r/t Dean II etc, but hopefully that's enough wincest to be going on with.)

A ctivities - What do they like to do with their s/o? How do they spend their free time with them?

I think this guy loves springtime walks!! He would love the sprouting flowers and trees since his stand revolves around life and stuff. I think just those gorgeous daytime walks would be really fun for him <3

B eauty - What do they admire about their s/o? What do they think is beautiful about them?

Oddly enough, your hands. Not like Kira tho LMFAOOOOO more like... just how gentle you are. He loved when you run your hands through his hair or cup his face. He also loves when you tell stories. He's a sucker for just listening to how you tell him stories <333

C omfort - How would they help their s/o when they feel down/have a panic attack etc.?

This man has such a soft and tinee voice, so I think he would just comfort you through speaking to you. He would rub your arms and give you a soft hug while quietly telling you that everything's going to be okay. If you need him to be quiet though, he will and just sit next to you until you feel better

D reams - How do they picture their future with their s/o?

Oh, marriage, 100%. This man could be with you for the rest of his life tbh. Maybe even kids if you wanted them. I think he just wants that iconic loving family like the one he never grew up in. I think he would love to adopt children with you and make a mini familia <3

E qual - Are they the dominant one in the relationship, or rather passive?

He's a babygirl, but he is a dominant babygirl LMFAOOO. He literally becomes a capo at 15, so I think he would be the more dominant one tbh

F ight - Would they be easy to forgive their s/o? How are they fighting?

You two don't fight often, but when you do, it is always resolved rather quickly through conversation. This man loves you way too much to just argue with you over stupid crap. So if there is an argument, the two of you will take a little time away from each other and then have a conversation. He thinks communication is very important, and wants you two do use it often <3

G ratitude - How grateful are they in general? Are they aware of what their s/o is doing for them?

Oh, this man is so grateful for you <33 I think one of his love languages is acts of service, so when you two do some of those for each other, it makes him swoon and he can't thank you enough for everything you do for him <3

H onesty - Do they have secrets they hide from their s/o? Or do they share everything?

If you didn't know he was in the mafia before you dated, I think he would hide that from you for as long as he could because he didn't want you to get involved in anything dangerous but other than that, he is very open with you :)

I nspiration - Did their s/o change them somehow, or the other way around? Like trying out new things or helped them overcome personal problems?

I think you made him a little more open tbh. He's a pretty reserved guy and had a lot of past trauma he had to heal, but you helped him with that healing and made him more open to you. He now smiles a lot more and is much more social <3

J ealousy - Do they get jealous easily? How do they deal with it?

Honestly, no. Mista jokingly flirts with you, but never crosses any lines and knows better than that. Plus, your friends are really cool, so Giorno isnt worried at all <3

K iss - Are they a good kisser? What was the first kiss like?

OMFG I WOULD FAINT! This man holy cow, this man can KISS. He's got soft lips and is overall an amazing and passionate kisser with nothing but love swelling from him <333

L ove Confession - How would they confess to their s/o?

He was definitely nervous, but I think he would still be his kid self and write you a little note and turn it into your favorite animal. It would run over to you and then turn into the note that says. "You're cute :)"

M arriage - Do they want to get married? How do they propose? What would the marriage be like?

As said before, yes <3 He would propose to you in the spring time and plan to get married that next spring <3 it would be a small wedding with close friends and cherry blossoms would be growing <33

N icknames - What do they call their s/o?

O n Cloud Nine - What are they like when they are in love? Is it obvious for others? How do they express their feelings?

He definitely looks at you more than he looks at anyone else <3. He will just admire the things you do for him and will express that love for you through words. This is only obvious to you though as he has made it clear that he likes to admire you. To others, they couldn't even tell if the boy was in love

P DA - Are they upfront about their relationship? Do they brag with their s/o in front of others? Or are they rather shy to kiss etc. when others are watching?

He does let everyone know that you two are together. He never brags, but he never fails to mention you to others. However, he is not a big fan of PDA. He will gladly hold your hand in public and even give you hugs, but her will never kiss you in public I dont think. He just prefers to have that aspect of your relationship be for the two of you only <3

Q uirk - Some random ability they have that's beneficial in a relationship.

Communication and the ability to tell you how much he loves you. He will never fail to mention how much you mean to him and whenever you two have a bump, he will make sure to ask what's wrong or even just talk to you. He may be a quiet guy, but he sure knows how to talk to you

R omance - How romantic are they? What would they do to make their s/o happy? Cliché or rather creative?

VERY ROMANTIC. The kind of guy who will take you on late night walks to go get a drink and watch the stars. The kind of guy to take you to a 5 star restaurant and smile at you. The kind of guy who buys you jewelry. He loves spoiling you with romantic acts, even if cliche

S upport - Are they helping their s/o achieve their goals? Do they believe in them?

This man is more than supportive. He will help in any way he can to get you what you need! He thinks that you are a very talented individual and is big on making dreams come true. His came true, so more than anything, he wants yours to <3

T hrill - Do they need to try out new things to spice out your relationship? Or do they prefer a certain routine?

Honestly, no. This man doesnt want any part of anything terrifyingly new. He likes adventure, but that doesnt mean he wants to switch anything up with the both of you. He likes the routine you have. But if you want that, he will try to get a good compromise going <3

U nderstanding - How good do they know their partner? Are they empathetic?

He probably knows you better than anyone. He can read you like an open book sometimes and knows when you are overwhelmed and knows when you are happy about something. He can always tell when you're going through something and wants to help anyway he can

V alue - How important is the relationship to them? What is it’s worth in comparison to other things in their life?

After he became a capo, you became his entire life. He never wants you to get hurt and honestly, he would give up his life as a mafioso if you needed anything. You are his first priority because he got his dream, he wants more than anything to keep you safe

W ild Card - A random Fluff Headcanon.

He can't fall asleep without holding your hand. He doesnt know why, he just needs to hold your hand. If he is cuddling you, know that he is holding your hand. He also sleeps in his undies lol and needs a plush blanket. He's just very picky about sleep and needs to be very cozy

X OXO - Are they very affectionate? Do they love to kiss and cuddle?

I think he is! He prefers cuddling and kissing right before bed though, I think the sunlight for him means work, but nighttime is cuddle and kissy time for him <3

Y earning - How will they cope when they're missing their partner?

He was used to being alone for a very long time, but when you are gone, he will just be super lonely. He'll stare off into space for a little, but still be doing work. Night time is the worst if you're gone though. He cant fall asleep without you

Z eal - Are they willing to go to great lenghts for the relationship? If so, what kind of?

This man would kill for you. Yeah. He's a little feral, but he NEEDS you to be safe and honestly, he needs this relationship with you. If you're unhappy, he will be more than willing to change what you don't like, but will never change who he is. But he would do anything for you tbh

Better Pyrrhia au

While flying from the Nightwing island with Morrowseer for the "test", Starflight, Fatespeaker, and the other prophecy backups lose sight of Morrowseer and are magically transported to a different pyrrhian future where the dragonet prophecy was never created. So now they have to go find the dragonets of destiny and convince them to stop the war while learning about this new Pyrrhia.

Details about the au (I edited this a little bit to add new stuff):

Foeslayer and Arctic never met at all, as Prudence never took Foeslayer with her, so the Icewings still have their animus powers and the Nightwings have none at all.

The scrolls keep better track of the animi, like they did in Darkstalker's time, so there wasn't like a 2000 year gap, but they haven't been updated during the great war. The Icewings have Queen Glacier, the Seawings have Turtle and technically Orca but no one knows, and the Sandwings have Boa.

Albatross still commited the Seawing massacre, so everyone is scared of that. Fathom and Indigo ran away together eventually.

Queen Glacier is the only known animus dragon to most of Pyrrhia, and she used her gift before the war. Turtle was hatched after the war, so he's a secret to most dragons, Orca still never told anyone, Anemone was never an animus, as Turtle didn't feel the need to enchant her, and Boa pretty much had the same life.

Clearsight never went to Pantala, so Hivewings don't exist, but there is interaction between Pyrrhia and Pantala, but more of a trade interaction, so the Pantalans still have their old language and culture, cause I thought that would be fun to explore.

Pantala dragons have their old language, although some learn to speak dragon and some Pyrrhians learn to speak Pantalan. Pantalan dragons don't have queens or a distinct separation of tribes.

The Rainwings are pacifists because of the letter in the guide, so they keep most of their traits as in the main books, but Queen Grandeur was the only one on the throne the whole time, so the Rainwing royal family is still around and the Rainwings keep track of the eggs and dragons. Basically only the real problems about the Rainwings are gone.

The Rainwings aren't in the war. The Sandwing sisters asked, but Grandeur scared them away.

Since the Nightwings aren't scaring Pyrrhia out of the Rainforest, many dragons come into the Rainforest Kingdom to escape from the war, so the Rainwings have set up another village, like the Nightwing village in the books proper, and know more about the rest of Pyrrhia. They are still pretty isolated.

Since Darkstalker never existed, the Nightwings live in the Pyrrhian Night Kingdom. They are officially allied with Blister.

The Night Kingdom has dragons from different tribes, like Possibility does, since they were known as the "open to all tribes" tribe like in Darkstalker's time.

Pantala is also home to many different Pyrrhian dragons escaping the war. There is a map to how to get to the other continant.

Darkstalker never made the Scroll, so Chameleon never got the scroll. There is no Cirrus or Pyrite. Tourmaline is still alive and does have Prince Cliff, who is the same age he is in the books. He is still Peril and Sky's father, but as himself, so they are now half-Rainwing and have ear ruffs that change color.

The Skywings stopped killing the Firescales and fireless dragons, although they don't trust animi still, so Peril and Sky were raised by Kestrel and Chameleon. Osprey is their adopted grandfather now.

Sky's name is Ember now, because he was named by Skywings and that was his name in the first draft. Wren is his pet scavanger he found and named Bird, kind of like how Flower's real name is Rose. I actually kind of like the name Sky, so Sky is his nickname because that's what Wren would call him before she fully learned Dragon and it just stuck. Wren can say dragon words, but all the dragons think she's just copying them. She's more like the scavengers in the first arc, not a lot of focus.

Ember was raised in the Wingery with the other Skywing dragonets. Since he can't breathe fire, he's very strong physically. Peril isn't feared and has Skywing friends, but she couldn't go into the wingery because of her firescales and her room is similar to the one in the first book. Peril still isn't great at fighting without her scales.

Ember has some of his personality, but he's not a vegetarian and is more tough because of the Sky Kingdom. Peril has a similar personality to her one in book one.

Chameleon is no longer evil and is a good dad. Kestrel is much less awful. Peril is closer to her dad, and Ember to his mom.

Orca never challenged her mother to the throne, so she never made the death statue, so Coral's daughters are still alive and she has significantly less sons.

The alternate dragonets of destiny get more development. I don't have a problem with the original characterization, because they were side characters there to show us how well the originals got along, but I think it would be fun to learn more about them.

Fatespeaker's parents live at the Talons of Peace, like the other alternate dragons, so she gets to meet them.

Starflight just now gained the thrice born moon Nightwing powers, so he can read minds and see the future. His vision is so strong he can look into the future himself instead of the visions coming to him.

Fatespeaker now has a Future seeing power, but it is weaker and the visions need to come to her. She can't read minds.

Clay is pretty much the same, but he kept the personality from his book instead of changing into "hungry". He is the Bigwings to his sibs, Reed, Sora, Pheasant, Marsh, Crane, and Umber.

Tsunami now has a few more sisters, Orca, three other older sisters. Two from her hatching, and Anemone. And less brothers: Two from Orca's hatching, Fin, Turtle, Octopus, and Cerulean.

Glory is happier and less grouchy, thanks to Suntime and a lack of abuse. She is more like Kinkajou, but less energetic.

Farsight is still alive, Fierceteeth's dad really did die, so she remarried Mastermind. Mastermind doesn't experiment on other dragons, but everyone else is the same.

Sunny is now named Beetle, and is tougher, since her mother never took over the Scorpion den. She did become friends with Qibli, who still lives with his mom.

The Skywing egg was never destroyed. It had twin dragonets, Dusk and Dawn, but they aren't firescales or fireless.

Moonwatcher lives with both her parents: Secretkeeper and Morrowseer. She is still an only child.

Morrowseer is really a future seer. He is the Queen's main seer.

Hailstorm was never captured by the Skywings.

Turtle doesn't have low self esteem, because he never failed to save his sisters.

Qibli lives with his mom, as Thorn never took over the Scorpion Den, since it's mentioned in the books the only reason she did that is to find Sunny. He is friends with Beetle (Sunny), and they met after the coconut incident.

Nova Bingham, Child of Argyle and Eden Bingham;

Their full name is Nova Creed Bingham.

They are non-binary.

They are sixteen years old.

They are a member of Adrien’s Youtube channel.

Nova’s parents are pretty chill and freelance where it’s legal.

They love Nova very much and would do anything for them; they just don’t want to be overly strict.

One time, when Mike was babysitting Nova (when they were around six), he lost sight of them for about five minutes and came back to find the kid with half of a shaved head. Nova loved the result. Everyone else was terrified of how Argyle and Eden would react—their reaction was pretty much ‘It looks great, dear? You did that yourself? Wow, you could be a hairdresser!”

Mike was relieved. Jonathan and Nancy (Nova’s godparents) were still pretty pissed though.

Nova is a total stoner.

Also Nova is the one who got the others into witchcraft despite popular belief. No one will ever believe Adrien, Ophelia, Lyra, and Reed whenever they say that, though because Nova just looks so innocent…

They love pizza and know how to make it from scratch. Unlike everything else they try to make.

Nova loves mixing gothic and hippie clothing together even though it drives Reed nuts.

They have great aim with a slingshot.

Nova and the others have all compiled a book of information on various supernatural creatures just in case they run into them at some point (anything is possible in their minds after they find out about the upside down).

Nova’s parents told them about the upside down when they were thirteen.

Nova figured out that Adrien also knew not long after though they never could quite figure out how he found out because he refused to tell them how he found out.

Nova is very close to their parents and loves them very much—which makes it very hard to keep secrets from them. Which is exactly why Nova has very few of them.

Nova has scared their friends before because they can be a bit ‘intense’ with their interest.

Oh and they have talked shit to ghosts before.

Nova has very little impulse control.

Also Nova adores Question, Adrien’s little hamster, very much. Mostly because they’ve never had a pet themselves.

Nova is good at surfing despite having rarely gone surfing before.

Nova speaks several languages and will watch tv in other languages they understand.

If Nova does this with another person in the room and they don’t speak the language, that’s how you know they’re mad at them.

Nova doesn’t get angry often but gets very passive aggressive when they do get angry.

Nova is trying to figure out what you can bake weed into and what you can’t—even though their friends keep begging them not to.

Oh and Nova has used blood before to try and figure out if it will make a spell work—no one knows where they got it from. The others were too scared to ask.

Nova has dizzy spells occasionally.

They are short and climb onto the counter to get stuff from the very top of the cabinet—which scares the shit out of their friends. For obvious reasons.

Nova loves oversized T-shirts and loose sleeves.

Their social media name is ‘Errorgendernotfound 69’.

They prefer rainy weather to sunny weather and can be found wearing t-shirts even in winter because they are rarely ever cold.

Once they were so stoned and sleep deprived that they talked to a pair of Halloween decorations in a store thinking it was Adrien and Ophelia. Their friends have not let them live this down.

Nova loves flower crowns and glow sticks.

Nova also very much believes in soulmates.

Nova and Adrien are strictly platonic.

Nova has introduced Adrien to both “Don’t Hug Me I’m Scared”, “Gravity Falls”, and “Welcome Home”. They geek out over it together more often than they probably should.

Oh and they watched Unnus Annus together.

Nova plays the tambourine and the flute alongside several other instruments.

They play bingo on random things for fun—and would do the same for trauma bingo if they had enough trauma for trauma bingo.

The click is their favorite youtuber.

They love ‘Fear Street’, ‘Scream’, ‘Scary Movie’, ‘Final Destination’, and ‘The Cabin in the Woods’.

#mARTch challenge day 2 - inspirations

Im writing since the things off this list that Id want to draw are a circle diagram with "favorite thing to draw"

Animals and plants are probably the biggest source of inspiration. Especially lesser known animals and weird plants. I like looking into flower symbolisim and stuff too, the idea of being able to communicate complicated ideas with a coded visual language is appealing to me. Tho probably not a lot of people know flower symbolisim of hand (i dont either) its just a way to guide myself in picking which flower... i feel similarly about gemstones and minerals. I like drawing them and i love looking at them, but i think its harder for me to capture the "essence of beauty" in a stone than a plant or animal. I think birds and fish are the most fun for me to draw and I love learning about them. They all have really different life cycles and "personalities". They can also be very colorful and I'm drawn to that. Same with insects, they are funny little guys, and they have great features to incorperate into other creatures.

Similar to animals I love mythological creatures. They are probably on of the most consistent and lasting sources of inspiration for both my art and writing. Its a pretty much never ending topic, its why i went with it as the theme for my long term comic project Tidal Lines. I also just love learning about and drawing weird little guys. Tsuchinoko are an eternal favorite. Dragons also, since they can be so many different ways. The dragons in breath of fire 4 are some of my favorite and a very early (like age 7) source of inspiration to draw and think about dragons.

Those are like the main inspiration for subjects i like to draw... in terms of actual drawing style its a bit more difficult to talk about since I tend to just draw "however it wants to be drawn" in the way that I can manage. In a sense the tactile elements of the medium are the inspiration. I love the way watercolors control, and love watching it and ink on the page. I dont do a lot of "style studies" and sometimes I think i really should.... Id like to be influenced by the art of yoshitoshi abe, range murata, clamp, miyazaki (especially the nausicaa comic and his pencil+water color style). I also would like to be able to draw in a more simple but appealing way, the style of digimon adventure is one I like a lot for that quality. I think once i list these out I can see the influences in my "style" but im not sure if one would think of it nessecarily... im always interested to hear what people think my art looks like and compaires to, since i feel like i can't really tell.

Oh, the way I draw noses is consiously chosen because of Secret Saturdays and early Soul Eater. Its changed a bit, because I wanted ways to get more variation, but its something in the way I draw faces that can be directly traced back to those styles.

I am also inspired just gennerally by the marriage of visual art and storytelling. I like being able to include character and worldbuilding details visually. In a sense it feels more naturalistic to present these sorts of details visually, and when I see nice examples of it in other works its really exciting. There is a lot of this in miyazaki's films.

I am also inspired by people who can get "messy" or scraggly lines to look good and give a vibe. Randal's friends is a comic that i think of, and I want to draw with more looseness and weirdness.

I am very much inspired by my friends who draw. Drawing together and working on our art and talking about it and showing each other is one of the main things that keeps me encouraged to keep drawing.

❧ the finances would be split 50/50,,, in theory at least. he ends up actually paying for more stuff despite him not really,, having a job? he's got a side hustle that allows him to stay at home while still bringing in the big bucks, it's insane and i'm jealous

❧ that being said, he's a big homebody and doesn't much enjoy running errands. if you want him to go grocery shopping with you you'll have to ask him relentlessly and have it planned days in advance. either way, he lets you use his card and says you can get yourself a treat while you're out so it's okay lol

❧ omg he doesn't clean either, you have to lowkey train him to clean. it starts small with having him help you fold laundry or do some light dusting. did he complain? yes. but did he grow to see the domesticity of it all? yes.

❧ he much prefers to help you out with the cooking. he's so used to having someone make food for him, so actually working through a recipe is a refreshing challenge for him; just be careful tho, he can be impatient and will sneak bites of ingredients and from the dish as it's being prepared

❧ he's a secret romantic at heart, so you can bet he will not give up on dates and anniversaries once y'all are married. most of these events are held within your home, so expect flowers and spa nights, but there's also plenty of fancy dinners out or late night picnics under the stars. he researches upcoming astronomical events and y'all will travel to go see them; he'll keep a photo album/scrapbook full of these trips with pictures of the stars that night along with a photo of the two of you and little mementos from the area

❧ mikael is kinda indifferent on having children as he's always seen it as something expected of him, but something he's never seen himself doing. so, like most of the boys, having kids is a big conversation that's to be had

❧ he has the same indifference with having pets; he doesn't particularly want one, but doesn't loathe the idea. so when you decide to sneak one in, he'll pretend to hate it at first, but ends up growing the biggest soft spot for it and will spoil the ever loving hell out of the creature

❧ assuming he doesn't live in his castle, he wants a fairly large modern house with lots of open space and a clean, bright interior. he's got expensive taste and it takes forever to find a house for the two of you. he wants to keep a certain aesthetic with his decor, very clean and minimalistic

❧ but overtime, you start to add some of your own picks to the place, like pictures and fun art and pointless decorations, and he's like "wtf how did this get here??" but as soon as he realizes it was you, he feels a warmth overtake him, and it really hits him, "this is our home"

Ricardo

❧ he's also want to go 50/50 with the finances, but purely because he does not want to pay for anything, yet he would feel incredibly immasculated if he let his partner pay for everything all the time, regardless of their gender

❧ his disdain for spending money comes in handy tho, and he's pretty good at budgeting and frugality. if you decide to go grocery shopping with him, he complains about the prices of everything the whole time and searches for all the best bargains and deals

❧ he's surprisingly a fairly tidy person, but he prefers cooking to cleaning, and he's also surprisingly pretty good at it. you both received a few cookbooks as a wedding present and he's made it a goal to try every single recipe in them. he likes sitting you up on the counter while he cooks, letting you taste test and sprinkle in some ingredients every now and then

❧ going back to the cleaning thing, he really shines when it comes to folding laundry, like he'd fold all the laundry ever without much complaint. he's also good at taking the trash out, washing dishes, and general tidiness of the home. however, his mortal enemy is making the bed. good luck with that

❧ he takes you on dates like y'all are still in the dating stage; like it's all fun and adventures, running around and giggling like lovesick teenagers. he takes you to every nearby carnival and arcade, and late night rides and club outings are a must. don't worry tho, he'll take you on more romantic dates, but he prefers to save those for anniversaries, which he likes to celebrate biannually. if you personally value smaller milestones like when you got engaged or when he first asked you to be his, he'll get you some flowers that he stole from noel's garden

❧ prefers to practice how to make kids than the idea of actually having them, but i can see him shaping up and showing out to be a decent father if kids are something you seriously want. he 10000000% wants a dog tho, and it's absolutely a big guard dog that he trains to protect you and your children at all times

❧ ok i remember seeing something that was like a scenario where someone gets their s/o a guard dog to protect them and then they get into an argument and make a move toward their s/o, not intending to hurt them ofc but still spooky, and the dog fuckin attacks them to protect the s/o, like good doggie. someone ask me to write this plsplspls-

❧ doesn't really care about where you live, and he leaves the decor completely up to you. ofc he has his preferences with colors and aesthetics, but will absolutely set that aside with mild complaint if it's something you want. just leave the heavy lifting to him, with the small price of some paint fights lol

❧ the one thing he must have is a shared hobby room where he can have his sewing and embroidery supplies, and you can have your setup for whatever your hobbies are :)

❧ genuinely thought y'all were already married before it even happened-

❧ like the second the two of you talked about marriage and agreed it was something you both want, he thought that was it. so cue his confusion when you started talking about a wedding lmao don't get me wrong tho, he's glad you ended up actually having one, and it was a very joyous occasion, and then things for the most part carry on as they were before you were married

❧ hate to break it to you, but you're the breadwinner. he'll absolutely pitch in when he can, but you end up being the one handling the bills and such

❧ please teach him how to cook so he can stop bugging you to make certain things and bugging you while you're actually cooking. this guy really just needs to get used to living with and sharing a whole space with a person. he's messy, very disorganized, and has never really been bothered to fix that. sunday resets are a necessity in your home, and with time, noel learns to be a functioning and contributing partner in your marriage lmao

❧ the one thing he's got the hang of right out the bat is yard work and caring for your garden. he's very diligent with it, and makes sure you have a fresh bunch of flowers for the kitchen and for the bedroom every week

❧ with his garden, he also grows a majority of your produce, so grocery trips aren't very frequent. but when you do decide to go, he's very keen to join you, just make sure he eats before you go so he doesn't fill the cart too much. he enjoys seeing all the new options and makes it a point to grab something new to try with you every time you go shopping

❧ he doesn't really plan dates, he just sees something that he'd like to do with you and asks you if you'd be down. he doesn't really realize it's a date until about halfway through the outing lmao. as for anniversaries, his main priority is the big annual wedding anniversary, but that doesn't mean the little ones are gone forever. he keeps calendars every year, and when it's time for a new one, he'll go through and fill out all the special dates, like when you had your first kiss, when you first met, etc. when these days come, he'll bring them up softly to you when you wake up or over breakfast; just the fact that he remembered those milestones is more than enough to make you happy

❧ he doesn't feel like he needs to have kids to make his life or his marriage complete, but if it comes up he'd much prefer to adopt a child; he feels that adopting a child and giving them a better life would heal something within him. he also wouldn't mind having a pet, as long as it's something not super energetic, and he doesn't mind high maintenance pets, he likes the routines that come with the responsibility. either way, he treats your pet as if it's completely sentient, having full conversations and giving it a voice in matters of opinion lmao

❧ he'd prefer to have a smaller house, maybe something a little older too. he's not a maximalist like lucas is, but he'll absolutely fill your house up with fun, warm decorations and photographs, making sure to put all of your fondest memories together on full display

I enjoy the Clockers Family Dynamic and may occasionally discuss non-LimL seasons from a Clockers Family Canon perspective, just 'cus I think it's interesting

I lean towards seeing Flower Husbands as an unhealthy/toxic relationship. Their canon dynamic just didn't feel cute or healthy to me, and the alternative is more interesting and less uncomfortable for me personality

Prompt: Flowers

The story starts with a poppy.

At some point, Scott brought Jimmy gardenias.

When they were at first tenuously living together for safety reasons, Scott found himself growing fond of Jimmy’s presence. The man could light up every room he was in, and that was a welcome addition considering what they were going to have to endure for the next long while. It was not surprising to Scott that those feelings of adoration slowly became… a little different.

Jimmy was fishing out at a pond when Scott decided to surprise him with the gift.

“Aw, Scott, you shouldn’t have!” Jimmy said with a grin, taking the flowers happily from his current roommate as he stood up. “Wow, these are in really good condition! You gotta tell me your secrets one day. C’mon, let’s go find a vase for these. I wanna keep them alive as long as possible-”

Scott watched as Jimmy bounded away while talking to himself, most likely to their hut to find a great place to situate the bouquet. Shaking his head and rolling his eyes, Scott followed suit. Sometimes he wondered how he ended up so enamored with a goofball.

An adorable goofball, but a goofball nonetheless.

Jimmy was a little less elegant when he brought a batch of red chrysanthemums back to the house after a hunting excursion.

He was standing in the doorway, his hair ruffled as if he had just run through a giant wind storm. Scott stood frozen, getting ready to leave to go mining before he was scared by the sound of the door slamming open. The two stared at each other with wide eyes, and it was hard to tell who was more flabbergasted compared to the other.

Scott opened his mouth right as Jimmy went, “I got these for you!”

Blinking, Scott quickly came up with something else to say, “Really? I figured you got them for the wild dogs that roam in the forest outside.”

Jimmy only got more flustered.

“I’m kidding, thank you,” Scott soothed his partner. He walked forward to take the chrysanthemums, eyeing them fondly. He began speaking again as he tilted his head upward, “These are really nice-”

Right as he got his neck straight again, he was met with a pair of lips crashing against his.

Ah.

They stayed stuck together for a long time, only splitting off when the sound of an arrow stabbed the wall next to the door. The two jumped apart, Jimmy shoving Scott further inside so he could make his way in as well. With a click, the door was shut, and it was just them.

“Homophobic skeletons,” Scott said, rubbing his arm against his chin. “How rude.”

Jimmy giggled, “Indeed.”

Silence filled the air again, Scott trying to come up with a way to break it, “So, I see my subtle flirting has finally paid off?”

Jimmy made an elongated hum, “I found a book in an abandoned village library that talked about flower symbolism. A page was dedicated to those white ones you gave me recently and, well, I figured you were just the right amount of pedantic to think about that stuff.”

Scott grinned, leaning into Jimmy’s chest, “I’m glad to see it rubbed off on you. These are genuinely nice flowers.”

“Ha, thanks,” Jimmy said, wrapping an arm around Scott’s shoulders. “I hoped that even if you didn’t think about that stuff, the color red was enough to get my feelings across.”

If only they knew how significant the color red was going to become, and how quickly too.

“Hey Petal!” Jimmy welcomed Scott back with a peck on his lips and a hug. “How did the trade go?”

Scott happily returned the hug, “Really well, surprisingly. I don’t think Grian and Scar want any ill will as long as we uphold an honest relationship with them.”

Jimmy nodded, glad to hear that, “That’s great. With how everyone else is becoming, alliances are gonna be more important than ever.”

Scott didn’t need to be told twice, “They also gave us a little extra. Grian’s growing some basil on the side for fun, and Scar handed me a goldenrod flower for good luck I think? I’m not sure, but they insisted I take them with me.”

Jimmy almost squeed at the sight of the basil, “Oh, that’s so nice of them! I was thinking of making soup tonight, and that basil will be an excellent addition.”

Scott turned to look out the window, the holly flowers growing on the sills stronger than ever, “Definitely.”

Their base felt less like a stronghold and more like a garden with extra steps.

Various flowers came and went from within their walls. Whether it was solely because of Scott or because Jimmy attempted to help out, there was never a dull corner without some kind of color. Myrtles, blue hyacinths, yellow tulips, honeysuckles, irises, and many, many more happily bloomed under their careful care.

Even BDubs got involved once, giving the happy couple some dill the one time they crossed paths.

Scott appreciated the sentiment.

And as each flower grew and each petal fell, it felt like something was being accomplished. It felt like not all was hopeless. It felt like, despite what loomed in the distance, that life could continue onward.

For a while, it felt like love.

One day, a bouquet of rhododendrons was on their doorstep.

To anyone else, this would seem insignificant. With all that happened in this world, a random bunch of plants would not matter. They would be thrown away, never to be considered again. But Scott and Jimmy knew. The blood-red ribbon that tied the individual flowers together was an unnecessary addition to drive home just how big the threat of violence grew.

Jimmy picked them up and held them close to his chest, nervous, “I’m getting tired of this tip-toeing. If they wanna fight then why don’t they just go for it? Do they like toying with us?”

Scott leaned forward to place a kiss against Jimmy’s temple, “I don’t know, but I’m going to consult Monopoly Mountain tonight. I heard they have a plan.”

“Yeah, good idea,” Jimmy finished the conversation, watching blankly as Scott took the bouquet from his arms to throw into the nearby fireplace.

A small truce was called so everyone could crawl home and lick their wounds.

And for Scott? So he could bury the one good thing that came from this place.

He stared down at his husband's dead body as it lay peacefully against the desert sand. For a second, Scott wasn’t sure if the arrow was sticking out of Jimmy’s forehead or neck due to his reluctance to look, but when he noticed the crown of tansies he made for Jimmy to wear into battle was still intact, Scott realized the arrow was located in the lower location out of the two options.

He could only hope it brought Jimmy a quick and painless death. It was the least the man deserved after all of this. Under a sturdy tree outside their base would suffice for a grave, Scott assumed.

As the days dredged on, Scott always made sure to stop by Jimmy’s grave at least once in the morning to sit next to it, chatting aimlessly and braiding various leftover flowers he had in the house. He didn’t feel like growing new ones. He would precariously balance the new braid on top of the old one on the headstone, and if the old one was finally shriveled up, then Scott simply shoved it off and replaced it.

During one of his visits, Scott paused right before moving to sit down when he noticed spots of orange around the grave. Squinting, Scott realized flowers appeared all over the area. The flowers were incredibly tiny, looked almost like starfish, and with those details, Scott was able to surmise that it was butterfly weed.

Those took forever to sprout if Scott remembered correctly. He figured he just buried Jimmy with some random plants, not unbloomed flowers.

Maybe it was a sign. Maybe Jimmy was trying to contact him from beyond. Jimmy was the type of person to be dramatic enough to tell him it was okay that way.

Dammit, it was hard to braid when he couldn’t see past the liquid in his eyes.

With the burning slash of Ren’s sword against his back, Scott knew it was over for him.

He collapsed against the side of a hill, the pain radiating from his fatal wound enough to block out anything else he might be feeling. He could hear Martyn inform his lord that the work was done and they needed to leave. Scott could take consolation in the fact that the people that were with Jimmy when he died at least cared a little about keeping his body relatively safe.

Scott was going to die alone in the middle of a random forest after stupidly chasing after Ren by himself. No one would realize until his name appeared in chat. They probably wouldn’t even find his body in time to give it a proper sendoff. Did he deserve that, though, he wondered.

As he slid down the grass and rocks, his body rapidly losing strength to keep itself up, he noticed tiny white spots littered across the ground he was laying on. It seemed like he was going to spend his last moments guessing what kind of flower he was ruining with his death.

Scott laughed around the blood in his mouth, his vision fading. Candytuft, how sweet. How ironic.

Scott followed a trail of flowers.

Yellow jasmines, purple columbines, as well as various chamomiles and zinnias all created a pathway that beckoned him to follow. At the end was a prize worth more than any possible flower combination he could come up with. At the end stood Jimmy, his hair dotted with multiple and differently-colored yarrows. A bouquet of poppies rested in his arms.

“It’s home?”

“Home.”

And as time went on, the poppy became even more.
