INFO ABOUT ANE:

- Ane is from earth 1218, which accoring to marvel is where all superheroes are fictional (basically she lived in the same ground as you and I live). But for some reason it seemed that her world kinda started to reject her in a sense? Causing her to be sended to this white space sorta place to where she can see marvel's fiction world

- Its basically gwenpool its what I'm tryna say lol. She basically has access to go in and out other earths without glitching due to not belonging to her own earth anymore and makes it easier for fast escape, although if she's in high stress or cannot concentrate she can't won't be able to phase out to the white space.

- Like pool she has quite a handful knowledge of most of the character from both strenght and weakness. Which that knowledge has helped from tight situations (tends to end with a few broken bones there and there)

HOW IT STARTED:

-Before becoming a spider dude she was nothing but a homeless girl roaming around the streets, looking for her next piece of bread or some coin to get by. Mind you that she tried to tell officers of her situation the world she was in but ofc she just ended behind bars in the station cuz police is so......useful sometimes aint I right....

-She met the peter after a day of her escape and Peter being the sweetsoul he is helped her out by giving her a place to stay with his aunt may. She stayed quiet of her situation but she eventually opened up to him and told him everything. Surprisingly he belived her without considering her a physco (He was from COUGH hq COUGH)

-And life goes well, she gets a job, heped payed the bills and kinda started developing a crush on pete's and it life is good.....until it wasn't

-Remember endgame? Well, she is kinda the main reason the heroes lost, u see aunt May was suppose to die in that fight but Ane's intervening caused a butterfly effect, causing the destruction and downfall of the civilization (isnpired by a punisher comic where he becomes a galaxy ghost rider)

-the only things surviving were her and peter's web shooters, the same ones she used to protect Aunt May....from then on she starts doing these good deeds, helping other citizens from other universes, getting into fights with both heroes and villians, meeting & loosing at the same time.

-she's self taught in both strategy and combat, using her past experiences and copying moves from others has helped along the way. But also being the part that destroys her lil by lil both emotionaly and physically. Causing her to avoid attachements or interaction to ANYONE. The only source of comfort is the emptiness of her void and the feeling of dried blood in her finger tips. Nightmares being a daily dose of her guilt and self hatred. Sometimes leaving cuts bleed out or touch her wounds as a way of punishing herself for her failures.

HQ CAPTURE & ESCAPE:

-At this point she's nothing but a soul filled with anger and violence, somehow surprisingly managing to escape a few times leaving a few spiders bloodied and almost in deaths door

-They manage to get a hold on her after using her latest fight as an advantage, knocked out cold she gets taken to the HQ. Even in her weak state the spiders couldn't help but to notice just how LOUD their spider sense were being....something telling them that they should back off ASAP. She gets treated for her wounds and sended to the cells where they explaon her the situation she's in. Her face not changing, staring at miguel with a unreadable expression as the others can't turn off their senses...some of the taking a step back

-A few weeks pass by, the fresh memory of her loved one dying on her arms still fresh in her head. Suddenly hearing the door open and seeing Diane being dragged towards her. Ane doesn't budge or looks up at the noise of to Diane's demands and resistance. Mabey Diane sees Ane and tries to talk her to help her out? Since I feel like she would know her situation or some bits of it, mostly knowing Ane isn't a villian.

-A few hours later AND BAM everything is on flames. Most of the HQ trying to capture the escaped prisioners, she and Diane kinda bonding over battle as they both have lil bits of conversation between the fights (Ane loves her webs and how shiny she basically is, reminds her of diamons kskkskwksk)

-mabey he meets gwens group and slowly starts to open up to others, and mabey she and diane become besties and she teaches Ane to be a lil more social and all the goodie stuff 👉👈? If that ok?

BIT OF HER FUTURE & GROWTH AS HERO AND HERSELF:

-I was thinking that she meets logan (wolverine) in a certain future (few moths or a year after the HQ accident) and basically follows and annoys the living hell outta him so get him to train her. She know he isnt the type to just accept things like this so standing her ground being the only way to get through that metal skull of his

-Which not only elevates her fighting skills and combat agility but also basically gets adopted by him lmao (he will forever deny he has a soft spot for her, but will throws hands if he hears crap talked about her back). She replaces the web shooter to chain shooters those and most parts of her new suit made from the same metal that wolverine's claws are made off. (She keeps the webs shooters on box somewhere in her white space cuz they have an emotional meaning to her)

-She's now able to sneak up on spider people without being detected by their senses (it is canon in a comic that longan did that on peter due to being that good of a hunter). She still has some demons on her but she's slowly but surely getting better day by day thanks to logan's teaching.

-although she still goes onto killing if she needs to, some fights more gruesome than others, her gloves having extendable blades like logans and well...u seen how the fights go with him. All and all life becomes good, even after a few falls she always gets up again, just this time, she has a hand to pull her up <33

1. To the one anon: good question - how is it that the mortals dont know who Persephone is / assume she is a minor goddess and therefore its okay to mess with her but the gods (or Olympians / underworld denizens) know exactly everything about her (despite her being there only every so often and only being 20ish) - enough to say shes "wearing her signature white color" during a murder trial.

Also the reason why Persephone is wearing white is because

A). RS wanted persephone to always be "dressed as a bride" (and have Hades dressed as a groom respectively) to show that their matching / is supposed to be a visual cue that their eventually gonna be together.

B). I believe this is RS way of saying that Persephone (despite murdering some mortals) is innocent because in purity culture White = innocence, virginity, youth etc. (Even though RS explicity ssid she wanted to go against purity culture morals shes very much leaning into them).

I understand LO qualifies as the "romance" genre and there are certain stipulations or I guess themes or what have you that make it romance but for f*cks sake.

Psyche being worried about Eros loving the "fake" her I kinda get, but really? Thats your most pressing concern?? Hera is defined by her garbage marriage to Zeus - King of the gods (of which is why she is Queen of the gods). Hestia + Athena are now defined solely by their relationship to each other (not the TGOEM or their respective traits of being a goddess of the hearth + goddess of war, strategy etc etc).

Aphrodite is defined by giving Persephone "relationship" advice (e.g: telling her to curb stomp Minthe because "nymphs dont take things from gods" - doubly implying that people are things to own) And by her jealousy of Persephone in the first place because Hades made a comment about how he thought Persephone was prettier than her. And also because of her "house of debauchery" (Artemis'  words) - and relationship with Ares.

Persephone is defined both by Apollo raping her and by her fated future status as Queen of the underworld (so her relationship with Hades). Hell, even the minor characters such as nymphs are defined by this relationship status / standard. Minthe is defined by her mean spirited personality yes, but Also because of her abusive relationship with Hades prior to the introduction of Persephone. Psyche is defined by her relationship woes with Eros. Daphne is defined by her relationship with Thanatos (and because shes a flower nymph) but also mostly because she looks like Persephone.

Rhea is defined by her marriage / relationship to Kronos (lets ignore the whole "fertility goddess power" plot for a second). Even Aetna is defined by Haphestus creating her! Is there not a single character (especially female) is isnt defined by their romantic love interest???Sorry. Maybe I'm overthinking this, but thats definitely how ot comes off as of late, in regard to the latest chapters.

Okay, same anon as earlier - I take it back somewhat - we have Artemis and Hecate that are not defined by their romantic relationships - but rather their lack of one.

However the way they are shown - it still comes off as a standard - "Artemis is stingy / a stick in the mud" because shes not romantically involved and is "barbaric" (according to Hera). And Hecate is still somewhat defined by her being Hades' employee (and cheerleader for him and Persephone to be together).

So technically yes, we have at least 2 characters that are not defined by their romantic interests / relationships, but they are still held to the standard of their "un-ladylike / undesirable" because their not romantically involved.

(I guess I should count Demeter, but only because shes more defined by just being "Persephone's overbearing mom" )

7. i think whats also kinda weird about this trial is like?? persephone is obvs framed as not liking the attention (bc duh) but she didnt like the previous press either, she wanted to be private, but wouldnt being with hades force her to be in the spotlight that makes her uncomfortable? also the citizens of the underworld already dislike hades, why would they want a uncontrollable felon as their queen, even if she found innocent? idk the whole thing just makes the endgame less plausible, tbh.

8. love that rachel was able to find a random deity name to name her random nymph the greek word for "beans" meanwhile apparently cant google actual greek names for even one off characters? like andrew, ellen, george, alexis, damian, luke, phoebe, sophia, and so any other english names are also greek, but she cant even bother with that? what exactly is her "research" if she cant even bother to spend 30 seconds googling greek names? at this point LO seems determined to be as un-Greek as possible.

9. wait so everyone in LO went from having no idea who persephone was, to her only showing up on ONE magazine cover, to now being the most well known person with a signature color? all in the span of two weeks with no genuine public outings? how does that make sense? also white isnt even her signature color if 90%+ the female cast and even a lot of the men ((including ZEUS) all wear it too.

10. the fact the courthouse WASNT the areopagus, aka the place in greece where they say the first ever trial ever happened and where the court system was invented, is just another point of rachel talking out her ass about being "respectful" or "researched" on greece and their mythology. its literally one of the most famous mythology spots ever with some fantastic stories to it and she's just like "nah! boring rectangle will do!" like why even both with mythology then if its this devoid of it?

11. Anons are saying Hades in the FS chapter is leaning down and talking to Persy like a child. Say it aint true.

12. So wait, hold up. I kinda get where RS is coming from with the law school in the underworld (because Hades is supposed to be a kinda Judge, jury, executioner situation in the afterlife when it comes to mortals and their "punishments" and whatnot). However, is RS stating that the ONLY law school / courthouse exists in the underworld? If so, why? Why wouldn't Athena be there then. She's a goddess of strategy and justice (among other things).

Also is RS really implying that Hades owns not only the banks and underworld but the law too? She really wants Hades to be a Gary Sue along side her Mary Sue - Hades controls everything that matters and since its his realm and blah blah blah rules, Zeus, king of the gods cant do anything about it.

(Which is dumb. Because you would think that because Persephone committed the crime in the mortal realm / on, or near Olympus that therefore she would be brought back there to dole out justice under Zeus jurisdiction because she committed the crime in His Realm).

14. i dont really get the point of the trial plotline, tbh. even persephone says she should be punished and held accountable, but hades is framed in the right for trying to go against that and weasel her out of it. so?? plus zeus has legit reason to punish them? persephone is a danger to others, demeter and hermes both committed treason to cover it up, and hades was harboring a fugitive of the law and is now trying to force the system to let her go. how is zeus in the wrong for this?

Imperial Agent CHARACTER EVOLUTION Overview (Level 70+)

Now that I’m in the endgame of this character’s leveling and I can finally do Operations I thought it’d be fun to show the progression of my character.

Especially because I have no intention of investing this amount of time or cartel coins into another one.

There will be spoilers for the Imperial Agent storyline below.

Tutorial Levels

On a “ayo real shit” level, I had no other choice but to look like this because I had already used the hair style I wanted on a previous character. I also didn’t yet buy the hair pack with decent haircut.

But, on a character lore level: my man, B’ane (no relation to the other mfs), is fresh out the agent academy or whatever. He—much like myself—aint know shit about the bullshit that was finna occur. He just tryna do his job type shit.

He’s ready to prove himself and don’t fuck with the Sith Order because they be impeding shit and having massive egos.

EARLY LEVELS

Finally, I got the hair pack and was able to give my man some drip. He finally got some swag. He’s looking nice. Dude on Dromund Kaas looking for the hoes.

For the self-prescribed character lore, my man’s got a better barber. He got confidence because he know he the best agent out there.

He’s tryna stunt on everyone, everyday.

He’s flexing and straight shining.

He’ll let shit slide and tries to be strategic with his moves. No killing unless he absolutely has to. Everything can be used as a tactical advantage for the Empire.

MID LEVELS

Look bru, you tell me that if you were under SIS Republic Agent mind control that you wouldn’t try to latch onto your Sith Pureblood culture.

My mans is struggling daily. He having to pretend he mind controlled when he not. He plotting, waiting to catch his opps lacking.

He also is avoiding most conflict because he just tryna get to where he gotta be unbothered.

LATE LEVELS

B’ane been through hell for like 40+ levels. Life ain’t hitting like it used to.

Dude ain’t going outside anymore and dude got a lil fucked up in the face from all the combat bullshit that he do. Dude just get cheated on by Kaliyo and he still took her back and put a ring on it.

If he still loyal to the Dark Council even after installing the brainwashing codes that got leaked. He still gon be loyal to her. Because much like his relationship with the Empire, he got no where else to go.

He been ruining whole planets for the Empire and investing in Dromund Kaas real estate. Dude just chilling tryna get better weapons.

My man’s also realized that if he don’t sharpen up his murder skills, life will be even worse so he ain’t let shit slide no more.

B’ane TTG and everybody can get it.

The Dark Council say “B’ane, murk them” then they dead because he knows there’s no where to go, and it gives him an excuse to cope with the lack of control he’s felt since the bullshit.

Bro understand fundamentally the importance of the Sith Order because he knows what the alternative is now.

END LEVELS

My mans a stone cold killer. Ain’t none I’m life to do but get the kill count up.

The past five years have been tough on Steve and you. Steve blamed himself for the most part; he always did for anything that went wrong. You missed your friends. After a while the world had to go on. There was still half a world of people that needed people like Steve and you. You still needed each other. That pain, that hurt, blossomed into a sort of love. That’s what you referred to it as in your head. But you’re sure for Steve it was merely out of convenience.

That was too harsh. Steve loved you. The team had been through so much together and you had stood beside Steve for all of it even when you thought he was in the wrong. You did it because you trusted his judgement. He was a righteous and kind man through everything. And Steve always did what he believed was right. You had always admired him for that. But Steve loved everyone on his team, that included you. He did love you in a different way, maybe in the same way he loved Bucky and Sam; but never in the way he loved Peggy.

Steve would make love to you when you needed it, he’d kiss away your tears when everything was too much, he’d provide you with as much normalcy as he could. He’d tell you stories about Bucky and him. He’d tell you how beautiful you looked when you woke up. You’d cook him breakfast in the morning. And for five fucking years, it felt like Steve was yours. You had dreamed of it for so long. When everything else was taken from you two, it had to be the one good thing.

And then the words were uttered. If it wasn’t for those words, maybe everything to come wouldn't have hurt so much.

Those words, you never saw them coming. You reminded yourself often what this was, what you were to each other: a comfort. Your heart couldn’t handle losing another.

It was a late night. The wine had probably gotten to you, no, it had definitely had gotten to you. The sound of your laughter echoed across your apartment walls. Steve had been telling a story about Bucky and him.

“And he’d always try and set me up, you know? I think it was more for him than me.” He had that longing look on his face, but it had been so many years, the memory warmed Steve’s heart. A ghost of laughter. It put that sweet look in his eyes, the one that looked like he had never seen hurt before. “And then I met Peggy…” He trails off, sighing almost longingly. You never minded. Peggy was his first love. It gave Steve peace to reminisce and who would you be to him if you denied him that?

A look similar to Steve’s was adorning your face. You hadn’t ever known Peggy obviously, but you knew Bucky. He was a lot more stoic than how Steve described him in the 40s. The stories made you feel like you were there. An almost escape to the world you lived in now. “I always love these stories. You look so… happy when you tell them.” You bring a hand up to tenderly touch his cheek, wine glass in the other. Your head is leant against the top cushion of the couch as you admire him. It would never get old; having Steve look at you this way.

“Telling you the stories makes me happy.” Steve returns your smile, leaning into your touch like he always did. Steve came to love your presence. You were soft and gentle when everything else wasn’t. There were other sides to you: the side of you in battle, in grief, in bed. But these late nights, it was soft. You were always what he needed at any moment, molding to nearly fit his needs. It was like a superpower.

The two of you share a moment, eyes not leaving one another. All this time, it didn’t get old. Your relationship grew slowly. It hadn’t always been like this, but you had always been each other's rocks. Maybe a year in, that’s when it turned different. It had longing looks when you forced each other out of the house and then another year in it was laying in each other's beds when the nights were too dark. Another few months after that it was every night you find solace in each other’s bodies, in whispers and breathless moans. Shortly after that it was breakfast, laughing, reminiscing, and what felt like healing. As much healing you could do without the people that mattered most. As much healing you could do with that hopeless feeling still in your chest.

There’s that moment and then there’s the kiss. When Steve can’t hold himself back anymore. He’s gathering your face up in his hands, feelings and words unsaid bleeding into the kiss. It would knock you off your feet every time if you weren’t sitting. It’s always returned, always just as passionate. There’s probably more you’d say to Steve than he would you, but it doesn’t matter. You try to brush those things off. He pulls away to look at you, catching his breath. He always felt like he got carried away with you, that he’d let himself drown within you given the chance. “Y/N… I-” He stops himself, taking the glass from your hands and setting it on the coffee table. Steve didn’t want to ruin a good night: one filled with laughter, sneaky touches, those looks of yours. He goes back in.

There was nothing like Steve in the world even before the blip. This you knew. Your hands wander over his chest, through his growing hair, and it doesn’t take you long to straddle his hips.

This was the other side Steve was talking about. It wasn’t always the same, but every night he’d figure it out. He’d draw it out of you. He begins the process, hands trailing along the exposed skin of your body, lips working their magic on you. The kiss was deepened by him, his tongue drawing the noises out of you. Steve grew to know all your secrets, all the things that would make you shiver against him. You had so much time with one another, it was bound to happen. He’s sure you knew all his tells, all the ways to make Steve Rogers unravel.

Steve got lost in you often. Nights were long and the two of you never got bored of each other. Steve got lost in you, but tonight was different. His thoughts were faster than usual, he couldn’t focus his actions as much as he wanted to. Steve craved to whisper the words he held onto for so long. He was so unsure of them at other times, unsure if they were meant in the way you wanted. But Steve was lost in you. His thoughts were no exception. He halts his actions, pulling away to breathe. Forehead rested against your own as you bask in each other’s presence.

These moments, sometimes they’d slow down, cherish every second. Steve was a purposeful lover. Except this time, it’s not because he wants to take it slow.

He nearly bursts it out, the words he always meant for another lover, but here you were, the one person that provided him comfort when no one else could. The person who listened to his boring stories. The one who watched him cry at night, would cradle his head in their lap, against their chest, cry with him and hold him. And Steve is so very lost and he’s not sure when he’ll be found by another. But he’s found by you.

“I love you, Y/N.” Steve whispers against your lips, the words ghosting around you.

It catches you off guard and you pull away to look at the look on his face. He’s serious and there’s that look in his eyes, but this one is different and you haven’t seen it before. It puts that hope back in your chest. It was a dangerous thing, that hope. It was always, always snatched away.

“I love you, Steve.” Every ounce of your being is poured into the words and the kiss to follow.

The hope grew and grew it seems from that day forward. Through Steve, through Natasha, and finding Tony. To restore the people that were once lost.

Those words, the confession. You always think maybe if Steve never said them it wouldn’t have hurt as much, but you know that’s a lie. And you don’t know if you can ever blame him for them. You were just as lost. Maybe there was no one to blame.

But it was always snatched, always. Everything chipped away at it, the deaths of your friends, the death of mentors. But you had Steve. You always had Steve. Yet the moment Steve was sent back in time to fix things, after everything he had done, you knew. You always knew. The hope would be lost for good. The hope Steve had planted within your chest. Perhaps it was a second too long he went back that you realized.

And there he was, full of love for another. And again, you didn’t blame him. You couldn’t because he had that look in his eyes. Like he had a story he didn’t know where to begin. Peggy and Steve belonged together. You were a comfort in the darkness and he was yours.

It never hurt any less.

Maybe the only one who really understood was Bucky. Perhaps he felt that same twinge in his heart. And after Steve’s death, you felt you were left with no one. Bucky and you shared that pain, little by little.

5. Oh no, that’s bad by @andyl394 | Bucky Barnes x Fem!Reader You’re a college student, you’re mad angry, Bucky ruins your paper, that’s not good is it? I read through this 20-part series like there was NO TOMORROW and god DAMN. We love hilarious social media AUs but this one really killed me. I always love Bucky who is soft and shy in fics but the Bucky in this fic was a LITTLE SHIT and i had so much ANGST. Anyways, if you read this fic, you may want to slap the characters BUT I PROMISE THERES AN ADORABLE HAPPY ENDING!!!! 100% INCREDIBLE

Home by @evanstush | Steve Rogers x Fem!Reader It’s been 2 years since the last battle and it’s now Morgan’s 7th birthday, and well, Tony being Tony, he prepared a small party for her little girl, inviting everyone from the team, including you. So Kate decided to rip my heart out with this fic and have me on my knees sobbing so that’s cool. That’s it, that’s all I have to say. JK, this fic actually is like half and half FLUFF and ANGST but lord is it worth it. Kate, you know I adore you so much and your fics play a big part in why! God this girl deserves more love on these stories because holy shit I’m DEAD.

Summary: You and your people have spent over five hundred years hidden from the human eye when Hydra decides to take revenge on two different groups that will tear them apart at the seams, forcing you out of the shadows and into the arms of someone youve been trying to avoid for many years. Not to mention with the looming threat of the world always ending hanging over everyones head, like mistle toe during Christmas, and you just might be the only one who holds the key to saving it.

So what exactly happens when the avengers find out those bedtime stories their parents used to tell them are real? Those Twilight books did nothing to prepare them for the nightmare thats about to unfold- literally.

Planet Earth is a dark place.

 It’s filled with any and every synonym to the word ‘bad’. For thousands of years my sisters and I have watched mankind grow and every century we’ve seen the horrors they bestow on one another, we’ve seen their weapons go from feeble sticks and stones to machines that can fire on command wiping out entire cities.

Death and destruction is what this planet thrives on. 

Humans used to worship the Gods, bringing them gifts in hope for a better life or thanking them for life, to which the Gods responded to, they built alters and temples to showcase their love for them. But they’ve forgotten, turning to their own greed and malicious actions to live their life. Killing one another to gain more land and rule with an iron fist, cities built and later turned to ruins after some great war that claimed innocent lives. 

History will always repeat itself and eventually mankind will be the downfall of this once beautiful planet.

It wasn’t until those who developed abilities did they realize this world is changing at a much faster rate than they thought. Instead of accepting this change they rejected it, only this time they were enslaving the ones with powers, abandoning them, killing them. They believed Captain America was the first to gain new powers but they were wrong. Gods were they wrong. 

My kind have been here since my mother gifted me new life. We were called the Shifters, those deemed worthy of another life after falling victim to the horrors of death. We were given the task of taking the souls of the damned to Hell.

Elizabeth was the first Shadow Walker. My father gifted her when her life was taken by the hands of a man during the night, his own creation which he loves dearly. His brother, however, wasn’t pleased when he realized what his daughter was turned into, but grew to accept it. She was given her own coven to protect the lives of the innocent. 

Wynter was the final creation known as the Winged One. She was pure, a light in the Dark Ages. She and her feathered friends took the souls of those who lived their life doing right by others to Heaven.

We were feared, respected, and worshiped. 

Until our kind betrayed us, exposing themselves and becoming drunk with power.  Turning their backs on those who created us and decided to make mankind into what we were, starting wars, killing one another just like the humans, trying to dominate the world. We became no better than the ones we tried to stop.

The Gods became angry but before they could serve a punishment the humans found ways to permanently end our lives. 

So we went into hiding, becoming nothing more than a bedtime story. They painted us as the ones who caused death and destruction.

We became a myth. 

Gods help you if we have to come out of the dark.

And we did.

"Wh...who are you people" she gasped, false fear glistening in her amber colored orbs. "I haven't done anything, please, let me go! or at least let my son go, he's only five, he has no quarrel with you!"

The men laughed as the young child cried out in pain from the hand gripping his small arm.

"Mommy!"

"It's okay, James, mommy is right here. I won't let them hurt you." She spoke softly to the small child hoping to ease his own fear.

"Oh my dear child, we're not the ones going to hurt you." The lead man chuckled. "Rather someone...more dear to you."

The young womans eyebrows furrowed in slight confusion, words she mean't to speak now stuck at the back of her throat.

"Sp-" The man was suddenly cut off as the front door burst open pieces of wood flying across the room, five bodies quickly entered their weapons drawn.

"If you want to live, I'd release the child and my sister." A voice spoke from the group, shadows draped intricately across their faces.

"Ah, impeccable timing, (Y/N)" The man spoke with an even tone yet his eyes held an unspeakable amount of rage. "I see you've brought the calvary however, I'd put the guns down."

The man gestured to the toddler now with a gun rested against his temple. (Y/N) let out a sharp breath putting her hands up and slowly placing the gun to the floor while the others, behind her, followed her movements. Quickly her friends were forced out of the shadows and onto their knees while their hands were tied behind their backs.

"Roll call shall we?" The man smirked gesturing to those around him. "A sad excuse of a shield agent the one and only, Daddy dearest. How are you today?"

If looks could kill then this man would be six feet under.

"Two of my greatest creations are back from the dead. How surprising." He sneered his eyes flickering to you then back to the two men. "Not so much fun being in this position again is it Axel? Alistair?"

"Fuck you" the twins spit, their chocolate colored hair couldn't begin to hide the rage that lurked in their multi-colored eyes.

"Wynter. The third and final sister of this band of misfits." The man smiled his gloved hand reaching out and grabbing the youngest sister by her jaw. "We'll see who is left after this won't we?"

"What do you want, Resnikov." (Y/N) spit.

He snapped his fingers and two men, clad in black, came forward. One grabbed (Y/N) sitting her in a chair directly across from the very pregnant Elizabeth, the other dragged Wynter forward placing her next to the eldest sister both with guns against the back of their heads.

"You see, (Y/N), this all started when Hydra was forced to dispose of their two greatest assets all because someone decided to disobey and those two retaliated. Not long after a certain black haired beauty escapes- taking those bodies with her." A low growl slipped past your lips, your jaw clenching as the man stepped closer to you with each word. "Skip forward a year or so later, our number one asset suddenly remembers who he is- all because of America's golden boy- and decides to make his own escape as well."

"That second part doesn't exactly involve me now does it?" You snap your hands balling into fists.

Resnikov chuckled lowly. "No, but it does involve her."

He points the tip of his gun at the woman across from you, her eyes darted between you and the man. Tears welling in her eyes, sorrow filled her orbs but also acceptance as if she knew what was coming.

"P..pleas-" she begins to stutter but is cut off with a loud smack, her head turning to the side from the hit. A cry sounds from the toddler who struggles in the arms of the hydra agent trying to get to his mother.

"Shut that fucking child up!" Resnikov yells pointing at the young child. "Before I personally put a bullet in him! I’m telling a damn story and he is ruining it!"

The child whimpers cowering away from the man.

"Now where was I?" He cleared his throat turning towards your sister.

"I wouldn't say that you're to blame but your husband and that thing in front of you certainly are." Resnikov hissed. "You see, Elizabeth, the events that are going to occur in this house isn't going to end with laughter and warm memories. They're going to end with pain and lots- I do mean lots- of bloodshed." 

There was stretch of silence throughout the room until the man clapped his gloved hands together.

“Lets play a game.” He smiled maliciously. 

“Did you just quote Jigsaw from those gory movies?” You spoke, cocking an eyebrow.

“I did, thank you for noticing.” Resnikov said. “I told you, Jerry, that at least one of these freaks would get my reference.”

The guy holding a gun to the toddlers head shrugged. “I didn’t know if they would get it. Some people can’t stand those stupid movies and given the ages of half these people and what they come from, I figured they wouldn’t care much for it.”

“Alright, can we get back to this game or whatever deal you’re about to throw at us.” You snapped bringing the attention back to you and the situation at hand.

“Right, right.” Resnikov straightened his jacket out his smirk plastering itself onto his face. “Here’s what’s going to happen. You have five minutes to decide who is going to die.”

There was another stretch of silence as the information sunk in. It wasn’t much of a surprise that someone was going to lose their life at the end of this.

“But here is the catch. My men aren’t going to do it.” He smiled seeing the color drain from everyone's face. “(Y/N) is. And your only options are Elizabeth or Wynter. I’d hurry up though, if you haven’t chosen when the five minutes is up, they both die a painful death.”

“When I get out these, you’re a fucking dead man.” The rough voice of the girls father echoed in the silent room, his eyes alight with fury. Resnikov waved his hand and soon enough your father was sprawled out on the floor unconscious.

“(Y/N) look at me. You can’t take Elizabeth away from James. She’s pregnant.” Wynter said softly, tears welling in her eyes. “She has a family. I’ll be okay.”

“No!” Elizabeth yelled out, her voicing cracking. “Don’t you dare try and sacrifice yourself, Wynter. It has to be me.” straining her words to get a point across.

“Well isn’t this cute.” Resnikov chuckled. “Tick Tock.”

“Shut up!” You snarled turning your head to look at him causing him to take a slight a step back at the look in your eyes.

“(Y/-.” The words were barely out of Wynters mouth when James suddenly pulled himself from one of the soldiers. The events that followed happened so fast no one had time to register what happened until the sound of a gun going off echoed throughout the house and the toddler flew forward hitting the cold hard floor, blood already pooling around him staining his pale blonde hair. His bright blue eyes stared straight ahead as the life in them became a vast ocean of emptiness.

Your ears rang, unable to take your eyes off the sight of your nephew laying before you, the entry wound in his back told you he was struck through the heart. When you finally willed your eyes to move around the room you could hardly breathe, Elizabeth was screaming his name over and over. Tears ran down her cheeks rapidly. Your youngest sister sat sobbing, grief clearly seen in her hazel eyes. The twins sat there silently, in shock before anger once more took over, they put up a fight that didn't last more than a few seconds before they too were out cold, much like your father.

Fingers snapped in front of your face causing you to blink and pull away. Only then did you feel the warm wetness running down your cheeks.

“H- He was a child!” You croaked but Resnikov only shrugged.

“It’s life. Oh and you’ve got about a two minutes before these two lovely ladies suffer the same fate.”

“You’re the real monster.” Wynter spit out. While Elizabeth continued to stare at her lost child. 

“Actually there’s a total of four monsters in here.” He smirked, waving his gun around. “One of which better hurry the fuck up and choose.”

“(Y/N) you listen to me and you listen well. It’s going to be me.” Elizabeth hisses, her fangs beginning to show. Wynter went to open her mouth but the look from her oldest sister caused her to shut it quickly. “My son is about to walk to the other side with no one but himself. You, of all people, know how cruel the Damned can be. I will not let him walk alone.”

“Liz, I can’t do it.” You choked out, your voice cracking as your evergreen orbs filled with tears once more. 

“Then I’m sorry I have to do this.” She smiled sadly, the tears had yet to cease, your eyes widened as you shook your head rapidly.

“Elizabeth n-” Your voice was cut off as she spoke the one word that change the fate of the world forever.

“Moarte.” 

In half a second all hell was unleashed.

You struggled with your own mind as your other half came to the surface- not that she wasn’t there already, itching to be let free and take out those who harmed her family. It didn’t take much for her to push you to the back of your own mind- it never was. Once she surfaced whoever deemed worthy enough to call her name had complete control.

“It’s time, Khaos.” Elizabeth sobbed in a broken voice. “I’ve known my end was near when the dreams came. But know this, he won’t forgive you easily. It’s gonna be one hell of a rode when this is over. Don’t let (Y/N) blame herself, this is my choice. It has to be me.”

“I know, my child.” Your voice was slightly deeper, rough and had an almost evil tone to it. “This isn’t going to painless, I’m sorry, but Death is never easy.”

“It’s okay, I’m ready.” The oldest sister whispered stretching her hand out slowly, silently tears began to streak down her cheeks once more, trying to prepare herself for her sudden end. Khaos nodded, meeting Elizabeth’s hand with her own, her pitch black eyes held empathy for the life lost and the one- two- about to be taken.

Elizabeth cried out in pain as her veins began to turn black, crawling slowly from her hand and up her arm before spreading across her body. She let out a choked scream as blood began to fill her lungs, spilling out of her mouth, as she slowly, painfully, felt the life being sucked out of her.

“I..I love you..all” Blood splattered across your face as the words left her mouth, her body convulsing but her hand never leaving yours. Her brown orbs flashed their true color before glazing over, all signs of life having been sucked out. 

You gasped, finally gaining control of your mind and body, your eyes stayed glued to your eldest sisters veins as they faded from the charcoal black to the light blue that sat beneath her pale skin. Tears welled in your eyes at the scene that laid around you. 

“Thank you for your hospitality, but it seems my time is up.” His sly grin stretched wider, madness glinting in his eyes. “Have a Merry Christmas ladies and gentlemen!”

Wynter suddenly appeared in your line of vision, forcing you to look away from Elizabeths body. “Y- you have to go, now. It wont be long before he comes. Resnikov must’ve set the alarms back up or alerted someone before him and his men fled.”

She spoke quickly grabbing your arm and shoving you towards the window where the twins were standing, grief mixed with panic swam in their orbs. You turned quickly to look at the two pairs of eyes that held no hatred for you. 

“W- what do I....” You trailed off not knowing what to say, you could feel your brain malfunctioning wanting to reject itself over what you just did. Your father stumbled over to you engulfing you in his arms. 

“Whatever you do” He started pausing as multiple sets of car lights flashed through the front windows. “Don’t blame yourself and do not let him catch you.”

“Don’t look back (Y/N)” Tears fell from the aging agents orbs as he released you. Car doors slammed shut, voices becoming louder, boots, rushing towards the front door, battling the thick snow.

 “Run.”

Just before more agents could enter the room, the sound of glass shattering filled the silent air, three bodies were pulled into the shadows leaving no trace they were ever there.

“aym het shodaws eb wtih ouy.” your voice echoed softly in the darkness only reaching the ears of your father and remaining sister.

Why does everything have to be an us vs them situation?

Why do we need to twist things and insult others and all that so we win or whatever

Imo both interpretations (that Arryn wants Yang to be Blake's love interest/former love interest) are true, cause it simply wasnt worded that clearly. When you say "are you really that stupid? Is your reading comprehension that bad?" youre insulting people for simply not seeing your truth, when there are multiple truths here. Like, correct me if Im wrong as Im not a native english speaker, but "... And I also hope for Yang in the future" can be either "to be a love interest" or, based on the earlier enumeration with that "former suitors" thing it could also be "to be a former suitor". Yes its weird and if you think about it why would Arryn want Yang to be a former love interest? But you need to acknowledge that the phrasing is bad and, if you dont know much about Arryn or whatever, that the "former suitor" would gramatically make sense

So like, why insult people about it? Why tell people "haha your ship is dead!! Lol!!" and then insult them for their interpretation? Like from what Ive seen so far it doesnt look like bsers came to our posts and tags our whatever to tell us how our ship is dead as well or whatever, and Im pretty sure most acknowledged bb is romantic way before.

There was also a post about someone who was mad people hc Qrow as Ruby's dad and this whole policing people's views and opinions really gets on my nerves. As long as they dont insult you/the writers and crwby and the vas and anyone really, who the fuck cares??? LET PEOPLE ENJOY THINGS. Someone likes to think qrow is rubys dad? Sure, whatever. Someone gets happy that Sun is a former love interest? Great for them. Why can we enjoy things and they cant? Why our hcs (like trans nora) are real and good and we can talk all we want about them, but when they talk about how cool it would be for them for qrow to be ruby's dad there are posts about how they should stop and that theyre annoying and whatever?

Everyone likes the show for different reasons, and the thing we have in common is that it brings us joy. If what brings you joy isnt problematic (like pedophilia or abusive relationships), if youre nice and dont insult people, if youre just somone enjoying the show, then whats wrong with that? Whats wrong with people believing qrow is ruby's dad? Whats wrong with someone thinking bs can happen? Maybe this brings them joy, so what? If they dont act as if its the ultimate truth and tell us how theyre right (like how people used to come on lesbian yang posts to tell us how shes actually bi) then who cares about what they think/enjoy?

What Im trying to say is: differentiate between those who simply enjoy something and those who think only their opinions are right, who come to your posts to say ur wrong, who insult you for your different opinions, and just let people enjoy things

STEPHANIE’S POST ACTUALLY SEEING ENDGAME REVIEW--SPOILER FILLED LIST OF EVERYTHING WRONG WITH TIHS MOVIE I COULD NOTICE IN BETWEEN MENTAL RANTS

 okay, so, during the movie, i spent hafl the time compiling rants in my brain about eveyrthing wrong with it and then emailed myself every point so i would not forget what made me mad

this is one of the most passively racist and sexist movies i have seen in a while it was just... completely devoid of any meaningful women or people of color (or... women of color) for so much of the film? and those who were present got shafted a lot. like... literally all of the women except for nebula existed to tell a man’s story.

which brings me to the point that we NEED to talk about the theme of family in this movie--it’s constantly brought up. clint misses his family, tony now has a family (because just dating someone isnt’ a family? this is a very nuclear famiyl oriented understanding of family), gamora and nebula are family, natasha never knew her family but the avengers are her family

and tha’s the crux of it--natasha calls the avengers her family, steve calls avengers family, but that’s not good enough to save her

when natasha and clint are on the cliff, clint makes a great point about why he should die--he’s become a terrible person (he spends half the movie just killing “evil people” who are all people of color, see: talking about how racist this movie is--literally “ronin” clint is better at a samurai sword than a japanese man and now speaks japanese?? why?? it felt like a bad martial arts parody movie--like those racist movies ppl would make about white men slaughtering samurais just not GOOD) and natasha has finally erased the red in her ledger by doing good. natasha dies anyways (literally forces him to kill her) because she’s stopped being useful to her “family” and his family is an actual family.

which brings me to--steve and natasha explicitly talk about two things--how they are family and how it is important to move on.

moving on is a CENTRAL part of this movie--the time travel works in large part so everyone can move on from their losses. thor moves on from his mother’s death, tony gets closure with his father, clint gets what should have been a last moment seeing his happy family, etc. steve gets to see peggy.

steve does not move on. steve LITERALLY HAS MULTIPLE LINES ABOUT HOW IMPORTANT IT IS TO MOVE ON AND STEVE DOES NOT MOVE ON. steve tells a gay man mourning his dead husband while trying to date someone new that moving on is important and steve still goes back in time to stay with peggy.

what’s worse, steve goes back in time and tells bucky to wait for hima nd not do anything stupd KNOWING HE MIGHT NOT MAKE IT BACK BECAUSE HES CHOOSING TO LIVE OUT HIS ENTIRE LIFE IN TEH PAST.

what’s EVEN WORSE THAN THAT--literally right the fuck after bucky and sam gets dusted he’s alreayd thinking about peggy? he never once mentions sam/bucky besides a quick mention of bucky being alive to trick past steve.

more fucked up shit around sam/bucky/steve--sam offers to go back with him but bucky doesn’t?? when old man steve returns, bucky doens’t even try to talk to him? despite being the one to notice him? steve doesn’t stand with bucky and sam at tony’s funeral why?

ltos of girl power moments actually worked like that--every time a woman did something cool, it was to harm her in some way. valkyrie is “queen” so she’s no longer relevant to thor’s plot

the moment where all of the girls (besides the dead ones :) ) teamed up just had them get beaten down in teh end? like it was for nothing? that’s not... girl power. also, they wouldn’t even be able to fit all of the important men into one screen so it’s just embarrassing

talking about weird shit about women--EVEYR woman EVER in the series comes back but they don’t even mention sharon, the girl steve was dating, at all, like even confirm if she was dusted or not, beacuse they know that makes steggy look bad

literally even JANE got new moments but sharon couldn’t come up

talking about jane--making thor hung up on her is fucking weird he has a girlfriend? who he treats like shit, tbf. thor’s character was an extended fat joke. he liteally says he isn’t fit to be king and that he was just pretending aftter getting a speech from his mother saying that isn’t true. ragnarok thor was killed off in the worst way. also his mother literally existing just to be like... an emotional spport woman was misgoynistic as fuck lmao

What made you give up on Ladybug? The Love Square not going anywhere? Just curious.

I wrote a post about it like a couple months back but I have some updated points. 

1. Thomas - Some his remarks towards some fans who ask questions on his twitter are not nice. Especially when some of them brings up very good criticism of the show. Some people can be entitle assholes but some actually care about the show. 

2. Jeremy- Lawd have mercy! He can’t hold water for shit. At this point, he probably show the whole reveal episode at a con.. ( if they ever get to a reveal) It’s ok to excited for the show and trying to promote it but showing freaking concept art that is pretty much spoil's  plot points to the show without consulting with the creator first? Yeah..  Also it’s like he wants to run before he walks ( aka the canceled live action movie) 

3. Time to watch - At this point I only watched like the first 4 episodes of season two since i have been busy working and have little to desire to finish and go season 3. I just go into the tags to see what the episode was about that was trending and be on my merry little way. It doesn’t excite me anymore like season one did. Also the ML salt tag keeps me up to date with it as well. 

4. Plot? Plot What Plot?- I mean it’s on it’s third damn season and it’s feel like it’s no where a reveal and no way near revealing what is actually wrong with Mama Ageste.. Also are we going to have Hawk Moth be the villain for all the damn seasons? I don’t like the episodic nature the show has with this “ the episodes have the no order but it do have a order” bullshit… You can’t build a decent story arc with that formula if you got to piece the development to together. When the majority of each seasons could be considers as filler with only the premier and seasons finales be considered as plot progression….It’s hard to see development when you can’t tell if the events in one Episode that shows development is either before or after the events in a another episode. The Villain of the day model doesn’t work for this show at all. 

5. The Love Square- Oh boy! I though Mari and Adrien was about to be on the same level with Usagi and Mamoru( which is like the God-Tier of Anime/ Animation couples)  but shit…. 

They are not even on Bella and Edward level….. 

Are we getting any closer to a reveal or even a changing of feelings between those two? When Adrien finally sees Mari more than a friend and Mari sees CN more than a friend as well?

Can Mari gets a damn break? This girl ALWAYS realizes her fuck -ups and try to correct them but Adrien gets a freaking past because of his home life. No It doesn’t work that way. I like Adrien but it’s getting kind of tiresome that the violin is away playing for him to point that it’s becoming the world’s smallest violin.Mari as LB sometimes have the carry the whole damn weight of saving Paris cause CN still don’t understand the concept them actually being co-workers and them working on a professional level..

Can Mari please realized that Adrien aint all that? He’s cute but he can be oblivious as hell. At this point I think she’s going to figure out he’s CN but he found out she’s LB which is going to be in 50 years time… 

It just feel like a freaking ship at sea that is trying to move but the captain forgot that he has the anchor down but keep telling the passages that it’s full stream ahead…. Thomas is that captain and the passengers are the fandom. 

It has it’s moments but they feel like they are not going anywhere towards making the ship endgame whenever that time may come. 

I mean we just finally got to point at the end of season 2 where she had the  courage enough to kiss on him on the cheek? That should feel like a momentous occasion but it felt like it took 50 years to get to that point?  It’s going take another 50 for the reveal and then another 50 for them to realized their feelings for the other??? Then another 50 for them to actually date? 

Seesh! We may finally get Stars season animated for Crystal by that time!

6. The fandom( Not the ML Salt fandom who is bringing up excellent criticism)  I’m tried of the slamming Mari gets for even breathing wrong while they act like Adrien can’t do no wrong. Thomas saying that Adrien is perfect plays into their hands cause they already think he’s the perfect sunshine child. Mari have to deal with HM’s CNs, Chole, Lila’s her friends (sometimes ) bullshit and it’s not fair that if she even breathes wrong she gets criticized. She’s a 14 year old girl who not only navigate through school and a crush, add on trying to save the damn city of Paris on it.  Mari needs to take a trip to Japan and talk to Usagi… 

I can talk about all the other characters but I’ll be here all day.

I know this is a show for the younger kids( so not directly for me) but kids are not that damn stupid. Kids can handle substance which those show started off seems like having but it falling flat.  

It’s straight up lost it’s appeal to me and they need to do somethings before others lose it as well.

CAN EVERY NEW FEMALE CHARACTER THAT GOES TO THAT SCHOOL NOT BE A ROMANTIC RIVAL FOR MARI? SEESH! ADRIEN IS NOT THE ONLY BOY THAT GOES TO SCHOOL AND SHE HAS MORE INTEREST IN ( cough Fashion) THAT THEY CAN USE FOR HER TO HAVE A RIVAL!

thoughts on endgame.

fair warning, i am not going to be kind. i enjoyed watching this movie, for the most part. it was funny; it had many good jokes and good, pure and well done interactions between multiple characters. but i didnt like it, and here are the reasons why.

unfortunately, this isnt a ‘nitpicky’ post. my main problems are with a lot of the bigger points points of the film, and had quite a few. this is a LONG post.

• “marvels first gay character!!!!!!!!!!!!” shut up. you joined the ‘fad’ late for brownie points and it was a cameo character who got about 3 lines. there are plenty of canon queer and gay characters who could have been introduced, either as cameos or in earlier films. dont even get me started on the fact that tony has more canon bi material than most others and marvel could have taken the time or even the slightest bit of effort to make this. while i enjoyed the jokes about steve being Incredibly Hot and his ass being Gods Gift To America (which honestly??? correct!) that could have been expanded on. several characters made comments about how nice steve’s ass is, and could have been used as actual material for a queer character, instead of sticking a random chharacter in there. i get the whole ‘gay people could be anyone! its normal!’ thing by giving the ‘role’ to a regular person, but you would also prove that by making any one of your 30+ main cast actually queer instead of making gay jokes and hints that could be retconned and explained away by humour.

• slapping someone out of a panic attack, and treating the panic attack like a joke. yeah, i get it, they didnt have a lot of time. still, come on. did iron man 3 teach you nothing? apparently not since tonys ptsd was pretty much never brought up again.

• speaking of thor. now, i am not an expert, but when a person gains weight, they do not keep their abs. certainly not after five entire years - not even asgardians. i also found it odd that thor became the way he did. i understand gaining weight and comfort eating after all the trauma thor went through losing his home and brother and people, i really do, but 1.) do it properly, at least, and 2.) thor is the leader of his people. does he want the task? not particularly. he hasnt wanted to be king since the first thor movie, but hes been forced into the role. even depressed i dont think thor would shy away from it, not completely. hes always wanted to do right by his people and i think that hed stuck to it, especially after The Snap backing him into a corner, if that makes sense. to clarify, i dont have a problem with chubby/fat thor. (IF done right instead of with weird, shitty cgi, that is.) i have a problem with the fact that thor, even though he doesnt want to be king, would abandon the last remanents displaced people to build a new home all on their own and become a hermit gamer boy. ESPECIALLY with valkyrie around. she’s been through a derpressive, alcohol fuelled time in her life and thor pulled her out of it. (mostly anyway, asgardians are party animals and im p sure she still gets trolleyed on the reg) i have bo doubt that after years of wallowing she would do her damned best to try and kick his ass out of it, even if it were just because his people need a leader, instead of letting him drop everything on her and just let him stew while new asgard gets on with it. i also didnt like the fact that all of thors emotional moments were treated as jokes and made to be funny when hes genuinely Fucked Up about eveything thats happening and made his image into a whiny crybaby.

• professor hulk. more of a personal one, this, simply because i just didnt like it. fair enough if y’all disagree on this one, im not going to fight it. i just never saw him wanting to combine himself with the hulk. ever. when he apleared on the screen i was completely blindsided, and his explanation, and the way he interacted with the kids????? i just want to know where all of this confidence suddenly came from. i use the term ‘suddenly’ loosely, since its been five years, but bruce has never been the guy to care about strength or looks or fame. hes always been shy and nerdy. not afraid to stand his ground or make his opinion known. hes bot a catchphrase, posing and flexing ‘hell yeah lets take a selfie’ guy. i get that thats maybe the result of the hulk and bruces combined personality but it just felt WEIRD to me, like, there wasnt a time in the film where i felt comfortable with the character. this was the final avengers film, with all of the original six avengers in it. but it didnt feel like that, it didnt feel like bruce or the hulk was in the film, even though there was a lot of funny and good moments with orofessor hulk, it felt like a stranger with some familiar characteristics. it ruined any feelings of nostalgia for me. i like bruce, and i like the hulk. i like the way their differences add to the story and the way they interact with eachother, and the slow change in their relationship. sorry if its petty but i prefer them seperate, theres just so much more to them for me.

• clint and natasha’s journey for the soul stone. both times, in infinity war and endgame, a male character and a female character went to get the soul stone. both times the male came back and the female died, and we lost possibly two most developed and main-line female characters in the entire mcu. now i understand the reasoning for both, and out of the characters that went there, i agree with the choice. thanos and gamora; it was thanos who was aware of the sacrifice and who chose to make it. gamora didnt get a choice and was unaware until it was too late. thanos was never going to die there. he knew there would be a sacrifice and chose to take gamora, because she would be the most likely sacrifice to actualky sucsesfully yield the soul stone because she was the most loved by him. i get it, but we lost gamora and i dont like it. clint and natasha; looking at it completely objectively, clint has a family, a wife and three children, that he wants to get back. natasha does not have any children, nor any (blood) family. if i had to choose, based on facts like that, id choose her too. but i still hate it, because there goes the only female member of the avengers. also, nebula (and i think maybe rocket?) KNEW that a sacrifice would be made and either accidentaly or deliverately left out the terms of aquiring the soul stone. it would have been easy to tell, if not easy to solve. but nothinb was said, and two best friends had to make a fucking awful and horrible choice when they might not have had to.

• on the ‘feminism’ tangent; the random congragation of women in the end scene??????? i dont????? okay so i am marking myself as a hypocrite here because i did love this scene!!! it made my lil gay heart go boom to see so many good and strong women all in one place - ESPECIALLY rescue - and it also made me realise how many women there actually are across the mcu??? which was really nice?? but it just felt... so forced? the way they ALL suddenly apleared and stood together even though they were all mixed in around the battlefield. it was a wonderful thought and i did enjoy it, but it seemed too Off and Odd to seem as much more than a bid for Feminism Brownie Points.

• captain marvel. i dont know about you, but i was actually looking forward to her being in the film. for a character so hyped to be the saviour of the avengers and the end of thanos, she was barely in the film. ‘i have other planets to save, the earth isnt the only one affected by thanos’ yeah but earth is the only plannet actively attacked by him. its where the people who are rallying to fight him and reverse what he did are. dont you want to stick around and help them? surely it would be a hell of a lot easier with your help, and faster too. yes, she blasted theough the ship at the end, but she did fuck all to help defeat thanos himself, and the help she did give with the ship came at the end. i genuinely think they kept her out of the movie because she was too powerful, and would have made fighting thanos etc too easy to get all the suffering and noble sacrifices in. if she had been a side character i dont think id be as mad, but she got a whole MOVIE in which she is clearly the start of the entire avengers initiative; she is their HISTORY!!!! she is so powerful!!!! and yet she has 5 mins of screen time!! it pisses me off that she was So Strongly implied to be the character the avengers NEEDED, the one that without whom it would be IMPOSSIBLE to defeat thanos; the woman that really tipped the scales in there favour, and yet she did fuck all. (and lets not even get started on the carol/rhodey and carol+tony bromance we COMPLETELY missed out on.)

• (speaking of bonding what the fuck happened to tony and nebula????? after they were rescued it was like they never met)

• the whole entire concept of time what the fuck!!! ‘dont change anything’ okay well for the most part you did okay, and the PLAN and CONCEPT was actually really easy to grasp, at least to me, which is hard when working with paradoxes and wibbley-wobbley timey-wimey stuff. but that went out the water when past!thanos and his army were brought into the future and disintergrated. does this mean they’re dead in the past - since they would have just. Left and not come back and therefore ceased to exist from that point???? or did tonys Snap simply send them back to their point in time, with no memory of what had occured? idk because it aint explained.

• speaking of; loki. again - his past changed; he managed to escape, with the tessarect. this is not explained nor expanded upon. assuming the events of thor 2 came about - which were impossible if he escaped - then his timeline would carry on as normal, and would PERHAPS explain the tessarects wacky timeline. (i dont know for certain, because i cant work it out anyway). but loki disspearing means he wouldnt have gone to trial on asgard, nor would he wouldnt have been in thor 2 - also by extention meaning that frigga is still alive. technically if he went back to get odin off the throne anyway, everything else after thor 2 involving loki/asgard would still come to pass. either way, we dont know. it was a nice way for endgame to give fans what we wanted; the posibility of loki coming back. but it doesnt make a lick of sense, and we have no idea if hes still alive/escaped or not, and why. personally i have no fucking idea and im pretty sure it was a cop out so they could give us what we wanted. which brings to my other point:

• giving the audience what we wanted. we got loki interaction. we got loki ‘escaping’ and ‘surviving’ (????) we FINALLY got rescue, who many fans have been asking for since i think iron man 2, and even more so since The Badass That Was Pepper Potts in im3. we got morgan stark and tony and pepper married, we got jokes about steves ass, and more jokes about male characters admiring how hot other male characters are. and, most importantly, we got tony having the nice relaxing life he wanted out in his cabin in the woods with his wife and kids (even if it was a horrific way of getting there). i dont quite know how to explain it, but to me it seemed like they were shoving as many ‘fan-requests’ into the film as possible - so that when they killed off 2 of the original 6, and removed another by ageing him out of use, they could lessen the backlash and justify the changes by going ‘but you got so mych that you wanted beforehand!!’. a tactic they drenhed us with because one of those 2 was a fan favourite that people were BEGGING not to be killed off because they felt that he hadnt recieved anywhere near the peace or happiness he deserved so far - and now never will. which brings me to:

• tony’s death.

there are two parts to this.

one, i was incredibly pissed off because strange’s Big Plan, the ONLY reason he saved tony in infinity war, was so tony could use the gauntlet and kill himself anyway later. anyone in that film could have used that gauntlet - and many wouldnt have suffered fatal injuries; captain marvel, steve, t’challa, peter quill to name a few possibilities - basically, anyone who is in anyway enhanced would have had a better chance of surviving and would have therefore been the better choice; aka, half the mcu. i think it was a proximity thing; tony was closest. he had the oppertunity and the others didnt. but tony didnt know about the option of using it until strange looked at him and gave him ‘the signal.’ the signal to sacrifice himself. and of course, this is tony stark. when is he ever going to refuse that.

but reason two, and this is the one that stings the most; tony started the mcu.

in my opinion, he is the character who has put the most in during the whole ten years. he, of ALL the characters, deserves his happy ending of marrying the love of his life and having a kid, without constantly fearing that hes foing to have them ripped away from him, that hes going to have to fight to the death to keep them safe.

one of my friends, when i complained about tony dying, said; “it was his time. plus, he had a legacy! with pepper and morgan, and the iron man name. how can you be upset?”

i can be upset because tony got the happiness he wanted after losing exactly 50% of what he held dearest. i can be upset because hawkeye got his family back, but tony only got five years with his wife and less with his kid, instead of getting the oppertunity to grow old with his wife and watch his kid go to collage like clint will. i can be upset because the character that has gone through the most trauma, both physically and mentally, who spent the last ten years trying to better the world and everything in it and protect it, who got the most shit for every decision he made and who ended EVERY SINGLE FILM with a broken limb or his face littered with bruises and cuts while every other film centric character ended the film usually scrape free, didnt get his happy fucking ending. sure, he has a legacy. but i dont give a shit, because that legacy - of iron man, of morgan and pepper and stark industries - would have been there whether tony was alive to see it flourish or not. but he wont be.

this goes beyond being a ‘tony stan’ or tony being my favourite character. out of every single character, from start to finish, anthony edward stark fucking deserved a happy ending and by god he deserved it the most. i will argue that until my end of days.

i watched tony stark on screen for ten years, and i watched him get progressively more scarred and fucked up. his parents. the ten rings. losing yinsen. obie. vanko and hammer. the palladium poisoning. new york; the nuke and the wormhole. the ptsd, the panic attacks. the iron legion and retirement attempt. killian and extremis and the end of that returement attempt. wanda’s vision. jarvis being destroyed. the accords and subsequent civil war. finding out about the winter soldier and his hand in his parents death. finding out that steve knew. siberia. struggling to balence iron man and the accords. losing peter. being stranded on titan, in space for weeks.

tony in that wheelchair, shaking and rail thin and unable to stand for more than a few moments will haunt me forever.

i watched him suffer for ten years - longer, even, in-universe - clawing for his quiet, happy ending while fighting for the happy ending he thought the rest of the world deserved, and instead of getting rewarded he just got beaten down and beaten down. after ten fucking hears of watching the backbone of the entire franchise get nothing but shit piled on him until he struggled to breathe for it, excuse me for thinking he woukd finally get the chance to crawl out from under it and be happy. no strungs attatched, no awful, sacrificial price to be payed, just for a man who had given so. fucking. much. to finally get something for once, and be allowed to keep it.

well i was wrong. and i feel so incredibly fucking stupid for even hoping otherwise.

and thats what i didnt like about avengers endgame.

N’Pressions: Star Wars: Rise of Skywalker

So a small bit of fair warning before going forward. I am a casual normie consumer of Star Wars and most of my interaction with the franchise is the nine core films and a handful of the Clone Wars episodes (notably the Tartakovsky run). Also I will being mentioning a few minor spoilers mostly to help with certain issues I have had with the sequel trilogy. Personally the Star Wars franchise has always been just fun popcorn flicks for me and that is honestly mostly what I wanted from the sequel trilogy. Would I have been happy if they tried to take the series forward and tried new things even at risk? Sure. It is one of the reasons why the Digimon anime series has that much value to me. Do I hate Disney not really pushing as much as they were certainly capable of? Not really. In all fairness the sequels have given me mixed feelings. Not exactly a love or hate relationship, but something just above okay. You really gotta do something to make me hate it.

So moving on to the final film of the trilogy. It did feel a bit rushed. Like they were trying to cram so much stuff in to get this thing completed. It was not exactly like say, Endgame or Deathly Hollows where you could split the films in half to get more of a complete story. Even still, it is not the worst rushed final I have seen before. The basic idea is that the First Order has been granted a super powerful fleet by the Emperor that could decimate the resistance and they only have a limited time before they are sent out. Thus the mission is to locate the fleet and strike them before they have a chance to launch. Meanwhile the Emperor is sending Kylo to hunt down Rey and since the two are still Force-linked it becomes a game of cat and mouse between the two. And thank you for actually giving us some more lightsaber fights, sequel trilogy! Seriously, there has been a real lack of it in the first two films. That being said I do kinda feel like the battles between Ray and Kylo were a tad drawn out, but at least we almost saw Rey nearly get her ass kicked to the curb for once.

Okay, I do not necessarily hate Rey. She is not the worst Mary Sue character I have had to tolerate. I think what irks me the most is that she had honest to gods potential of being a really good character on par with Luke. A scavenger who desires above all anything else a sense of belonging, of purpose. Someone who is constantly looking to the past for answers for that feeling but always coming up blank, even when the call keeps telling her to look forward. Her finally finding a family and place among the resistance. But because of her lineage of Palpetine, the dark side keeps coming around to tempt her; to offer her greater purpose than these ragtag team she’s come to care about. Every time she thinks she finally has a family the dark side rips it away from her (Han and Luke) until she falls into despair and loss of control and towards the dark side-but her new family being that single thread of light that will guide her and eventually to the new future. Showing that while the past may be a part of you, it does not define you. Except, we never get that. From the onset she automatically capable of flying the Millennium Falcon, force mind control, etc. We never really see her honestly struggle with the dark side. She rushes into dangerous situations and doesn’t suffer consequences for her recklessness or pride. She doesn’t really lose anything. Sure she occasionally feels doubt and fear but it’s glossed over and isn’t emphasized. Oh and the whole “I am all the Jedi” thing did feel a bit forced for me. Girl, Tony Stark you aint. Plus she should have said her family name was Palpatine showing that she has made peace with her past and is now looking to the future. For all the whole “strong female character thing” and all that-what is hilariously ironic is that it’s the other protagonist MALES that are most interesting. Even from Force Awakens I cared more about Finn, Poe, and Kylo than I ever did for Rey. And they actually had honest genuine arcs and were just overall far more compelling characters to me. Also Kylo is best character in the series, fight me.

So what was my thoughts on the final film itself? Honestly it’s a mixed bag. Like I said, the last film does feel a bit rushed and there are certainly notable plot holes-but it’s not the worst I have seen. It does actually feel like an end. One of the biggest issues I had was the pacing. I feel some of it could be trimmed back a bit-not that it did not serve a purpose or anything but sometimes the wait for the payoff feels…dragging. Also, hey we make these super big sacrifices, aka Chewie’s supposed death and C3P-O’s memory wipe, and boom “hey they okay now”. Like why? You put this big dramatic emphasis on how important these things are and you just flick them off as if they were nothing. I get people were mad how Han and Luke died, but come on! If you’re going to commit to this big dramatic cost-stick with it! Have Chewie’s death by Rey’s force lighting question herself and give her a real reason to be terrified and tempted by the Dark Side. Have C3P-0’s memory wipe be a reminder that there are hard costs in the fight for freedom. Also when did Rey get force healing powers? Was that even an actual thing? Okay I don’t have that much of a gripe about that because it at least pays off where Kylo Ren/Ben is concerned. That is the most hilarious thing about the trilogy, all the pieces were there to really make something and for whatever reason they don’t go full forward with it. I get it, there is this constant push and pull with fandoms and I rarely ever want anything to do with them because I know how toxic they can get (looking at YOU Ninjago fandom). But much like the Force, there has to be a balance. I think some minor fan input would have helped here and yes I know fandom reactions and the way Disney has been handling things has not been looking for either side and social media has not helped things.

That is not to say that the film doesn’t have its awesome moments as well in particular the final half of the movie-where Finn and Poe are planning the final assault on the Sith Fleet. Like Poe does from this hotshot flier who does reckless maneuvers to actually thinking and using strategy. Or Finn who once only wanted to run away from the First Order is now using his knowledge of them to work out a viable plan of attack like using the horse things instead of speeders because he knows they can disable them. Or the huge appearance of various ships all around the galaxy coming in to the fight. The Kylo vs Rey fights are pretty interesting as well-using the idea they are fighting each other but are physically in two places and the cinematography takes advantage of that-switching between the two environments and their strikes affecting the surroundings. Also the conclusion of Kylo’s arc was pretty satisfying and his death, in a way, felt a bit more impactful than Vader’s because we do actually see him struggle between the two sides thought the trilogy as opposed to Vader that in retrospect kinda felt more like a last minute heel turn to me. Plus the symbolism between the Skywalker and Palpetine aka Light Side and Dark Sides were a real nice touch such as Luke’s X Wing and Vader’s tie fighter landing together (Kylo’s star fighter’s design still kicks ass though). Oh and Palpetine really chews the scenery out and it is glorious. That being said, despite my hang ups I still enjoyed myself and thank gods it was not Digimon Tri. thanks! and na i aint angry. opinions are opinions after all. but i am intrigued by how you worded it, since it sounded a bit like 'i love the start of P5 but it goes downhill from there'. is that true or am I misinterpreting it? (i say i'm intrigued because of how much praise and popularity P5 has already; its like that meme 'friendship ended with P4 P5 is my new bud' or however it goes, and I know how much ya love P4)

Ok so…..first off this isn’t because I’m “blinded by my love for P4,” I actually thought I’d love this even more than P4 (tbh it’s like tied right now, but because I like it for different reasons), it’s something I noticed while playing the game. Ok so some of you may know that sometime when P5 first came out and I finished it….I felt like there was something off about it. And at the time all I could come up with is that it….just didn’t “flow well,” and that it had “three distinct arcs and the middle one doesn’t really match the first and third.” I just……I didn’t know how to describe it. Someone tried to point out to me “Maybe it’s cause of the Omnibus format” and haha let me tell you, I forgot this was suppose to be “omnibus” when I was playing it. Tbh it’s as omnibus and P3 and P4. I can see where each mini arc begins in P3/4/5 and when it ends and the next one begins, if that’s what they are calling “omnibus” (maybe that’s why Atlus described as “kinda like omnibus” but not completely, would’ve been hard considering the format, I think Sly Cooper and it’s chapters in each game are more like an omnibus format if you need something to compare). Anyways, yeah so it wasn’t that, it was the actual substance in the story. Of course I still couldn’t put my freaking finger on it so like a dork I’m just kept describing it as “flow” 8U And then I found someone who pointed out the flaws they saw in P5 and oh my god that was it, they put into words that I couldn’t describe. And it was actually after reading a few Japanese reviews (which they agreed with since they couldn’t put into words what they were thinking either, and decided to go to Japanese review websites to see if they could find someone who thought the same thing), they finally figured out what was bothering them.

Summarizing (well the beginning middle, I’ll just post the ending to their argument after the summary) in the most non-spoiler way possible (things in parentheses are my comments btw): “P5 peaked after the first two dungeons, and then crashed and burned in the latter half of the game (basically 3rd arc). All the antagonists after the 2nd boss are cartoon caricatures (I wouldn’t say all but yeah most of them). A very important and very thought provoking ethical question is raised after the 2nd dungeon and NOTHING IS DONE WITH IT (actually there are a few ethical questions raised and nothing is done with them, but this specific one takes the cake). Lastly, by the time you get to the last chapter I (the writer) had lost whatever grasp he had on an actual theme or message of the game (they describe P3’s theme, and even P4’s multiple themes  and man P4 really juggled a lot of themes).”

Actually here’s what more they have to say on the P5 theme thing, I’ll edit out the spoilers but really I can’t summarize it: “When I look at the the ending of P5, what is it really trying ot say? The guiding idea is "Push back against the status quo, the corruptions and the powers that be, don’t give up”. *something spoilerish in game happens that kind of supports this buuuuut* But unlike P3/P4 there was no real soul searching to get there. At one point in the story, they were merely acting, or reacting as the stakes got higher and higher. By the time they got to *insert this antagonist*,  it’s clear that they put their personal interest ahead of justice and the justification for going after them (the antagonist) was iffy at best. Without really exploring the ethical ramification consequence of what they did, all I could get out of it was basically “all’s well that ends well”.And this is the problem I also saw in Social links, because the fact that the thieves can just make everyone’s problems go away just trivialized the struggles of each characters. They were entertaining but lacked the emotional weight of something like the Sun Arcana in P3, where the characters had to deal with actual consequences of his action and his life with no easy answers for them.So I guess in summary, the plot of P5 was top notch as light hearted, feel good story. It was entertaining and kept me on my toes in a way that movies like Star Wars did. But when it comes to substance and themes I found it lacking compared to P3/P4. It’s not that it needed to have tragic ending, and I think triumphant heroic ending would have worked, if it treaded deeper waters to get there.“

Wow sorry for my mess of copying that over (I put it in italics to make it easier  to read but yeah sorry ;w;), but I wanted to keep it spoiler-free as possible but here’s the link if you wanna read it in all it’s endgame spoilerishness. But yeah…..what they said. The whole "peaks after first two dungeons” might account for why I don’t really like anyone beyond the 2nd dungeon (bar Haru, but tbh they didn’t do anything with her, and also bar Yusuke cause I know while he’s on my list for characters I don’t like but slkfndsl;afs;a I would never remove him from the game so that’s saying something). In arc 3’s defense I think it could’ve delivered better if arc 2 was actually up to snuff but it’s just screws the plot/story/theme/message so much that you’re wondering if you’re still playing the same game you did in the first two dungeons. A lot of people who hate P4’s plot might actually get a headache over how convoluted P5’s is, it’s almost like they wanted to take P3’s plot but make it bigger but they didn’t know how and were juggling too many things. Also after reading this review I actually started drawing story parallels between P5 and Ultimax (and I know how much y'all hate Ultimax’s writing so haha that’s not a good sign when I find parallels between the two). The difference between P5 and Ultimax is that while Ultimax got screwed in the writing department, I could still see what the plot was actually going for. I knew what they were trying to convey, but with P5? I think I did, I think we all have a grasp of what they were going for, but by the time I got to the end it felt really muddled and lost that…..it turns out I don’t know what they were trying to say. I woke up, I got up, and I got out there but now….I’m kind of lost tbh.
