what desserts are bakin' in the floytt household this thanksgiving? i feel like bobby would make a bunch of pies. i also feel like rhett would follow him around the kitchen like a puppy, hoping to taste test everything

aaaa! Bob the baker and his two little helpers 🥹 baking is his specialty every year. Usually, he makes one pie and one set of cookies, but this year, nobody could decide on what they wanted. How is anyone meant to pick one when there are so many options??

It takes all of about ten minutes before Bobby cracks and decides that this year, we're making all of them. Between the three of them, it's easy to make sure nothing goes to waste, so why bother with limits?

So, they have five pies: apple, blueberry, cherry, lemon meringue, and banana cream...because Rhett wouldn't quit giggling at the phrase "cream pie". Pumpkin doesn't make the list because it's a holiday staple, and Bob...may have bought one from the local bakery two days ago.

Rhett wants to help so bad, but he doesn't know a damn thing about baking and keeps getting in the way. It's not his fault; he's just trying his best to beat Bob to the pantry and lend a helping hand, but Bob's got his own set order of doing things, and he's unintentionally messing it up! So Rhett is given one job, and that's to sit on the counter and taste-test everything Bob gives him.

A job the Reader gets to share with him, but they're on the opposite side of the kitchen keeping an eye on the oven (Rhett's not allowed within 5 feet of it, ever since he forgot to turn on the timer and burnt the ever living hell out of last year's holiday pie).

But in the end, Rhett's still slightly upset that he didn't get to help with anything, so Bob riffles around through the pantry and teaches him how to make fudge. One way or another, some of it flicks out of the bowl and lands on the bridge of Rhett's nose, and he almost drops the bowl because Reader and Bobby are kissing it off of him ❤ 🥧

Hop: Hops favorite treats are the butterscotch oatmeal cookies. He doesn't admit they are his favorite but he always buys them when he stops by the bakery. Steve always makes sure to bring a box when he visits the Hopper-Byers household.

Joyce: Joyce always gets some snickerdoodles and a cup of hot chocolate at the cafe/bakery but she also loves when Steve makes a 7UP Pound Cake for any get togethers they have. The snickerdoodles are also in the box of cookies that he takes to the Hopper-Byers household anytime he visits.

Claudia: Claudia LOVES getting a slice of Steve's coconut custard pie. It's not one of the most popular pies in the cafe but Claudia always makes sure to get there early to get a slice or two. She has a weakness for his Chocolate Chip Cream Cheese Bars and he makes sure to bring her some when he visits or picks up Dustin.

Wayne: Wayne will not, not ever, admit he has a sweet tooth, but he is one of Steve's regular and best customer's. He particularly likes anything with pineapple so he always gets a slice of the Skillet Upside-down Pineapple Cake and the Creamy Pineapple Pie. He also loves the finger buns and maybe he calls Eddie if he's on a tour or working on songs in the studio, if the boy is home he will drive over there to tell Eddie to date Steve. Eddie brought Wayne a full cake Steve had made when he had mentioned to Steve that he was going to see his uncle for dinner and Steve asked if they had dessert, they did not and Steve just so happened to have more than half of the pineapple upside-down cake left over before he closed and just gave it to Eddie who tried not to swoon.

Charles & Sue: Sue loves to get a Raw Raspberry Slice when they stop by and Charles always gets a couple Chewy Chocolate Cookies. If Lucas is helping out Steve will send him home with some of the treats that he saved for the couple.

Robin: She loves when Steve makes Pumpkin Bread and the Lemon Tarts! But for her birthday he always makes her Hummingbird cake like her grandpa used to make her and she always has the biggest smile when he brings it out for her.

Nancy: Nancy loves the Apple & Fig Butterscotch Puddings that Steve makes around fall and looks forward to getting some when she's down for Thanksgiving break. She also loves to get the Apple & Blackberry Bars, she loves the hazelnut crumble on the top so much.

Jonathan: Jonathan would die for the Chocolate & Spearmint Caramel Slices. The kids tease him for liking chocolate and mint together but he loves it. He also really likes the fudge and Steve is always ready to bring him some when Argyle comes down for a visit.

Argyle: Argyle will argue that he loves everything Steve makes and Steve would be obliged to believe him because the man has literally tried everything in the cafe, but he does eat the fudge a lot but that could be because that's all that Steve brings to Jon when he hears of Argyle coming down for a visit. But Argyle does love one specific fudge, he loves the Fudge Krispies. He also really like the Bee Sting Cake.

Eddie: Eddie would also argue that he loves everything that Steve makes but he does tend to get the Sticky Toffee & Strawberry Tarts and the Chocolate Hazelnut & Frangelico Tart Slices. He loves the taste of the last one but he especially loves the smile Steve gives him when he orders it and the way he asks him if he told him that it was his Aunt's favorite dessert and she used to sneak Steve extra pieces of it. Eddie always says he doesn't think so just so he can hear Steve talk more and watch the way he lights up.

Eddie also loves when he's back around Christmas time or Valentine's Day because Steve makes him these fantastic Chocolate Rum Balls that are to die for!

Dustin: Dustin will take a little bag of Golden Thumbprints to school because of course Steve brings him some for his lunch when he gives him a ride to school. Dustin is also another person who fiercely declares he loves everything Steve makes. But Steve knows his kid and his kid loves the Golden Thumbprints most. That and the Banana Split Cake that he would make him for his birthday.

Max: Max really likes the Honey, Lemon Curd & Blueberry Tarts. Steve always packs her some for lunch. She also just loves everything Steve makes because she knows he loves making everything. She's not great in the kitchen but she does love when Steve tries to teach her how to cook and bake. When they make dinner together and dessert she always feels so happy and loved. She also has a soft spot for when he makes rice pudding since it's something he only makes at home.

El: Besides the waffles she gets when she spends the night at Robin, Steve, and Max's house, she loves when Steve makes her a Chocolate Raspberry Profiterole Cake. He always makes it for her birthday along with birthday waffles! She also really likes to buy a mini Orange Trifle. (She likes the different textures)

Will: Will loves getting a slice of the Peanut Butter & Jelly Loaf, he just loves that it's something simple made better, plus it tastes fantastic. He also really likes the Bombolonis which Steve is ecstatic about and always makes sure he has some for Will when he visits, or if it's ready he will send some with Max to school for Will.

Mike: Mike kinda loves the simple treats the best like the Peanut Butter cookies chocolate brownies but he does have a soft spot for the Neenish Tarts and will be absolutely upset if they are sold out before he gets any.

Lucas: Lucas loves all the cookies but the Super Chocolate Chunk Cookies have a special place in his heart and they were the first recipe that Steve taught him when he started helping out at the cafe. He also really likes the Blueberry-Pumpkin muffins when Steve makes them in fall.

Erica: Erica would die for the Teddy Bear Bread. Yes it's just bread. Yes it's in the shape of a teddy bear. It's the best bread ever. Ever. She also loves the chocolate mousse because Steve give her two cups and always surprises her with the fruit topping. He also will sneak her some Peanut Butter Kiss Cookies.

Corroded Coffin: Gareth, Jared and Jeff adore everything Eddie brings them back but they freaking love the Peach Cream Puffs. Though they do want to find this mysterious cafe/bakery and this "Stevie" so they can actually order for themselves. They are planning on stalking Eddie next time he leaves.

Steve: Steve loves the Chocolate Hazelnut & Frangelico Tart and the Apple frangipane Tart, he loves the salted caramel sauce he puts on top. Those are his top favorites but he also claims that the new treats he is selling in the cafe are his favorite everytime there is something new or something seasonal

And if she's in the mood for something extra decadent, she'll gladly indulge in some imported cherry cordials. Favorite Seasonal Treat: I don't think it's a surprise to anyone that the Lady's favorite treat is her homemade seasonal wine 🍷

Bela: Favorite Candy: Much like her Mother, the eldest Dimitrescu is not overly big on sweets. She tends to go for more simple candies - peppermints, fruit slices and old fashioned ribbon candy being her favorites. Favorite Seasonal Treat: Pumpkin pie, especially traditional Moldovian ones 🎃🥧

Cass: Favorite Candy: The middle daughter loves anything sour. Lemonheads.. sour gummies.. the more sour the better. Her particular favorite being a candy called War Heads. Favorite Seasonal Treat: Unlike Alcina, Cass's favorite Seasonal treat is a spiced apple mead that only comes around in September and October 🍯🍂

Daniela: Favorite Candy: Needless to say, the youngest loves sweets entirely too much! So much so, that she would have a different answer of what her favorite was on any given day. She's always up for a packet of pop rocks, though! Favorite Seasonal Treat: Much to her family's dismay, Dani loves candy corn! 💥✨

Donna: Favorite Candy: Donna usually prefers to make her own candy. Her famous strawberry compote delicious surrounded by any type of chocolate. She does have a fondness for a certain amaretto trouffle that Alcina gets for her every Christmas, though. Favorite Seasonal Treat: Homemade pumpkin caramel affogato 🎃🍦

Sal: Favorite Candy: Sal is a fucking whore for gummy candies! But she will go absolutely primal over some gummy sharks. She finds them both humerous and delicious. Favorite Seasonal Treat: She loves, loves, loves to make her own pumpkin cupcakes each fall! Especially with a fresh cream icing 🦈🧁

I stood bored out of my mind, shift had been so slow today mostly people out for parties and such. "Nate?" "Yep?" he asks as he finishes stocking the ice box "It's boring" "I know, don't think we're gonna do well on tips tonight" "It's fine I'm stealing the Halloween candy" I smiled stealing another sweet from the bowl on the bar "Any more fudges?" "I told you the one guy from an hour ago cleared them out" "Damn it" "Nate?" "Yeah?" "Can you make… something fun?" "Fun?" "Spooky beverage" "Like what?" "Hummmmm" I pondered I grabbed myself a glass from the back setting it on the well, I grabbed some apple cider, cranberry juice, a little grenadine and some fireball "Cocktail sparkle?" I asked holding out my hand "Colour?" "Gold" He happily threw it over, I added it all with ice into a cocktail shaker giving it a good shake and mix of course doing a little trick as always before pouring the orange glittery drink which I garnished with a thin apple slice. "The Poison Apple" I smiled "Ohhh? may I?" "Of course" I smiled he took it and had a decent sip "ooohh very nice. But the visual is the best part" "Okay fine your turn, Mr Drake" "Very well" he smirked Grabbing a large mixing glass he mixed ginger ale, pineapple juice and tequila giving it a good mix, he filled a glass with ice adding a scoop of lime sorbet from the freezer with a slice of lemon and a slice of lime down the sides before then adding his mix into the glass cascading over the sorbet causing steam "The Frankendrink" "Very good, quite a show" I smiled taking it to have a sip "Oohh heavy on tequila" "You say that about everything with tequila" "Yeah that's true I think I'm just not a big fan of tequila, nice though" "Go on, give us something a little refined" "refined? alright" I smirked I grabbed a tall glass filling it with ice, I grabbed some empress gin filling it up and topping it off with sparkling lemonade "Oh, so gin and lemonade?" He asks "Ah ah ah" I warn him "Impatient" I slowly and very carefully poured blue curacao into the glass letting it all settle at the bottom creating a beautiful gradient grabbing a rosemary sprig to garnish "The Witches lemonade" "Ohh? Very nice," he says having a sip "Okay that is fantastic. take this away before I finish it" "I win" "Not so fast I think I have something that can knock you off" He winked he grabbed the cocktail shaker adding light rum, coconut rum, blue curacao and of course ice, he gave it a good shake before grabbing a cocktail glass adding it to the bottom then filling it with pineapple juice and a little wedge of pineapple for the rim "Merky waters" "Bad name" "I know" He shrugs handing it over so I give it a sip "Ummm that is good," "Told ya" "Fine you win" I smirked giving him a soft kiss which he happily accepted pulling me close to his chest and slightly grabbing my ass "But that needs a better name" "Okay, any suggestions?" "I think…. call it hypnopotion" "Ohhh I like it" he smirked "You wanna lock the front door and have sneaky backroom sexy time?" "Again?" "Please as it's Halloween?" "As you won I'll allow it" I smiled
