Hi everyone! I saw that there hasn't been a Buddie Week in a few years and that the account hosting this hasn't been active. I tried to get in contact but they never responded. Weeks dedicated to ships were always my favorites in different fandoms, so I decided, why not try to host it myself?
I am aware this can me stressful to do on my own, but I am giving it a chance! Besides, it'll be in 2024 so I'll have time to prepare.
That said, I want to ask YOU for some help figure out when this week should take place. This will happen in different polls.
First: today (November 3rd) this post will contain the first poll which season this week should be held:
Based on which season has the most votes, I will do another poll which month would be your favorite choice (unless December wins). Then when a month is chosen, there will be a poll which week should be used.
I might also do a poll which form of the week. Personally I use Monday-Sunday, but I know there are also people who use Sunday as the first day of the week.
Once we have chosen a week, we can start doing prompts! A form will be up for several weeks where you can suggest prompts. Then the most sent + my own favorites get put in a new form where you can vote.
There will be a poll to see if you want alternate prompts, multiple prompts a day to choose from, like @whumptober does for their events, or only 7 promps - 1 for each day. Then based on the amount of prompts needed, the ones with the most votes will be put in Buddie Week 2024.
Buddie week is for everyone!
You can do anything: Fics, gifsets, collages, video editing, picture editing, podcasts, playlists, podfics, art, poems. Whatever you want to create, you can do it!
EXCEPT THE USE OF AI IS FORBIDDEN!
AI technology steals from fellow artists and therefore it is against the rules to use AI to create something for Buddie Week.

what are your thoughts on rimjobs I've seen tmnt art of it recently.
(I think you drew one with Leo can't remember.
That's probably because of the tcestober (idk if I spelt it right) promp, one of the days included it.
Tbh I'm kind of new to that kind of content. Idk why, but I've always been extra flustered/uncomfy with rectal play until this past month or so (I'm still adjusting)
(Of course this only applies to fiction. In Irl any form of sex disgusts me and actually makes me anxious, lol)

Sharkfruit is an art month prompt list that’s not decidated to a specific month, so you can do this even in the winter if you’d like!
It’s about drawing sharks based of off fruits. For example; A shark based off a dragonfruit! Also, it’s not specific to one type of sharks, you can do different shark species or you can do the same one over and over!
You can also replace or add a new fruit, it’s made to inspire you and to have fun with! Maybe It’ll help you come out of your comfort zone and practice sharks?? It sure worked with me.
It was fun to make, so even though probably nobody will do it, it was a joy to work on.

Sunrises - The Darkling x Reader
Fluff so sweet my teeth hurt 💓💓💓
Sunrises were never your favourite, they symbolised a start to a new day, a day where you had to wake up alone in your bed before a day of work. There was no morning cuddles or stolen kisses. The sun coming up put a stop to your dreams which were filled with a perfect life with that perfect someone. Something you never thought you would have the luxury of experiencing.
But now? You no longer needed your dreams to be happy. You had everything you'd ever fantasised about, mornings full of intimacy and pure unfiltered love with your perfect person. Sunrises now meant you could wake up in Aleksander's embrace with rays of light streaming into the room, they meant another day with the person you loved most.
He looked so peaceful sleeping, all those years of war and stress disappeared, leaving his beautiful face; innocent and relaxed. You slowly lifted your head from his chest and studied him more. You lightly traced the faint scar on his jaw then the one on his cheek. He was breathtaking, a work of art that took hundreds of years to craft before you had the honour of calling it yours. Yours.
'Must you stare?' His morning voice broke you out of your trance.
'Of course. Art is meant to be admired' He let out a short laugh and turned his full attention to you, tiredness still evident in his eyes. His arms tightened around you and a sigh of content left his lips.
'I have to leave later, I have business in Kribirsk'
'I know, you told me already, twice.'
'I think I'm hoping for you to stop me from going, or come with me' Quite ironically, his lazy smile could have lit up the room like the sun.
'I'm quite comfortable here, in this bed.'
'You'd better be here when I get back' His nose nuzzled itself into your hair. The flowery smell always brought him comfort.
'Have I ever not been?' You laughed.
A comfortable silence enveloped you. The faint sound of the Palace waking up could be heard in the distance but right now, you two had all the time in the world.
'I love you Y/N.'
'I love you too' The answer was automatic, you didn't even have to think about it.
His hand went to your finger where a heavy black diamond rested on your finger and held it up in the morning sun. The halo of regular clusters of diamonds sparkled brilliantly but were overshone by the black jewel.
'You're lucky its beauty makes up for its weight General,' you laughed.
The ring was heavy and hefty, but he wanted the best for you, no exceptions. He brought it to his lips and left a lingering kiss.
'Everything you do amazes me Y/N, truly. If I had the option, I would have made you my wife months ago.' Your heart swelled tenfold.
'And I would have been more than willing to be yours. I already am, I don't need an official paper stating so.' He hugged you even tighter if possible but you revelled in the feeling of home.
You both watched the sunrise, soaking in the last minutes of peace before you both had to face the day.
You loved Sunrises with your Shadow-Summoner but you loved him more.

Hello sweet thing! I finally got inspired to start on this after reading @asteria-of-mars's latest masterpiece, and I have to say I'm enjoying it! I think you're my lucky charm anon because your other prompts First Fall and Fuck You, Feyre Darling are now two of my favourites. Anyway here's a soft and Gods inspired piece x
Pomegranate Part 1
Rhysand strolls through along the border of the Spring Court and gazes over the fields of flowers. Although he will always favour his own territory, even the Lord of Night has to admit that Spring is pretty.
It is twilight now and the dusk is settling in. The girl in the field notices Rhys watching her, and smiles shyly. He lifts a hand, and she walks over to him.
“Hello you,” she says. Her voice is soft and high, like falling petals, and it seems to reach right into Rhys.
“Hello little one,” he says back.
“I’ve seen you walking around here,” the girl tells him. “Do you come to see the wildflowers?”
“Yes,” Rhys replies, “although there is one particular blossom that is much more beautiful than the rest.” His eyes wander to the fresh bloom on her cheek, and he is not lying.
The girl drops her gaze as she smiles, and the loss of her blue-grey eyes is more than Rhys can bear. His hand darts out of its own accord, and gently lifts her chin.
“You have such stormy eyes, for a season so tranquil,” he says. She ignores him.
“I know who you are,” she tells him. “My father says to stay away from you.” Rhys’s brow furrows.
“Your father… did not like my father.” His face lightens. “Then again, I did not much like him either.” He grins, and the daughter of Spring tilts her head to one side to watch him. “And you?” he says. “What is your name?”
The girl feigns scandal. “What a question!” she says in mock horror. “Give you my name, so you might enchant me to follow you?” Rhys’s lips curl upward.
“I could just steal you away right now. No one would know.”
“My father would come after you.”
“How would he know it was me?”
“Because he didn’t like your father.”
Rhys’s eyes light. “But he might like me if he got to know me. Many find that they do.”
“I can’t imagine why.”
Rhys is grinning again now, despite himself. He puts his hands in his pockets.
“But you know my name?”
“Yes Rhysand, I do.”
“Mm. It sounds so good when you say it.”
“Well maybe I’ll have you follow me around.”
“I might do it anyway.”
“Still think my father might like you?”
“I’m not scared of old Tambourine.”
The girl giggles at that, and the sound of it rings in Rhys’s ears for minutes after.
“I’ll tell you what,” she says. “Come and see me tomorrow. If I spend a bit more time with you I might decide to trust you with my name.”
“Spend time with me now, I’m not doing anything.”
“Well I am,” she says. “Now go away and leave me be.”
“I don’t think I can leave my court two evenings in a row.”
“Then you’ll never know my name.”
“But that’s hardly fair!” Rhys protests. “You already know my name, should I not have something of yours?”
“Fine,” she says, and steps in close. Rhys barely has time to be surprised, before she stands up on her tip-toes and presses a kiss to his cheek. “Now you have something of mine too.”
And with that she wanders off, leaving Rhys standing in the field of flowers with his fingers on his face.

The next day, Rhys walks through the Spring field but didn’t see the girl. He thinks about the way that he had teased her, and wonders if she might have stayed home and laughed at him. Then something grabs his ankle, and he almost falls.
“Hello you,” the girl says. Rhys stares down at where she is lying amongst the long stems.
“My favourite flower,” he said. “I almost stepped on you.”
“The evening is warm, come and lie down with me.”
Rhys glances around, and finds the field empty again. He gets down on the ground and lays his long legs out beside her. Above them, the sky is peaches and cream.
“Why are we lying on the ground?” Rhys asks. The girl surprises him again by taking his hand and lacing her fingers through his.
“Because from here you can hear things growing in the earth,” she says. “Listen.”
She closes her eyes and breathes deeply. Rhys tries to listen too, but is distracted by the freckled serenity of her pale face in the stretching shadows.
“You’re not listening,” the girl scolds, without opening her eyes. “Don’t you know it’s rude to stare? We hardly know each other.”
“But you’re holding my hand,” Rhys points out. Now she does look at him, and he could drown in the ocean of her eyes.
“I’m a child of Spring,” she says, and then gives him a smile so lovely his heart breaks. “And Spring is the season for love.” He falls for her, just a little, right then and there.
Rhys rolls onto his side, and brings his thumb to her lower lip without letting go of her hand.
“My court is Night,” he said. “No wonder we’re friends.”
The girl shoves Rhys lightly in the chest. “Night is for lust, not love,” she teases. “And we’re not friends yet.” She goes to pull her hand out of his, but Rhys catches it back and she lets him.
“Then tell me how I can be your friend.” The girl’s eyes sparkle.
“Visit me again,” she says. “My father is very… protective. And I am lonely.”
“I can do that.”
The girl picks up his other hand now. “Visit me everyday.”
Rhys laughed. “I’ll visit you every day, for a month. If you tell me your name.”
She frowns at his fingers, even as she strokes his knuckles.
“For six months,” she says.
“Two.”
“Five.”
“Three.”
“Four, and I’ll give you a kiss.”
Rhys grins at that. “Deal,” he says. He untangles his hand from hers, so he can slide it behind her hair and cup the back of her skull. The daughter of Spring looks up at him through lidded eyes.
“Your cheek, Rhys,” she whispers.
“But nights are for lust,” he says, and then kisses her open mouthed and hungrier than he meant to. She tastes of rosewater and sweet pear. The girl’s arms twine round his neck and pull him closer, and without thinking he rolls her on top of him. Her weight is delicious along the length of his body, and the evening breeze blows her honey hair across his face.
Finally, the girl pulls back and looks at him from above. He tucks a curl behind her ear, and she flicks his nose for taking more than she had offered. Rhys thinks she might tell him off, but instead, she just says, “Feyre. My name is Feyre.”

The Shyan Shipping Society Writing Challenge ✍️💕
Hello dear shippers!
My name’s Zhalia, a fanfic writer on archive of our own. you might know me from my stripper!Ryan au, or the cinderella au or from the many comments i leave on your amazing works.
Since October, i’ve been hosting very lowkey writing challenges on the Shyan Shipping Society Discord server. and i figured, i’d let good ol’ tumblr get a piece of it!
this is a fun lil' challenge to practice your writing with random prompts!

✨RULES✨
✧ the challenge is held at monthly, we don't want to pressure anyone too much and we want to give you enough time to work! on top of that, the minimum amount of words for this challenge is 50, which is a very low bar, it's no school, this is for fun!! also don't worry if you miss a month.
✧ from the day we set the prompt, you have one month to meet the challenge. with this, we request a chapter or a start. if a prompt inspires u to write more than a oneshot or one chapter, feel free to expand as much as you can outside the challenge! everyone is requested to post their submissions on the same day (so say we start at october 1st, then you're only allowed to submit your submissions on october 31st, no sooner). We then hope to announce the new prompt on, for example, november 1st to continue the cycle, but it may differ at times.
✧ There are no specifications to your writing. you may write however you like, a story, a description, a poem, anything is allowed. you're free to write in any rating, be it G or E-rated. we prefer M/E of course, cause we're thirsty like that. if you’re an artist, you’re free to join too! more elaboration in the FAQ below :D.

✨FAQ✨
o What is the Shyan Shipping Society (Server)?
The shipping society is a discord server owned by @bradpistachio where a bunch of shippers gather to chat about anything: their lives; the boys; other fanworks like fanfics and fanart; annoying antis; we have a writing lab to talk about your own works, and much more! The server is filled with amazing artists like madamecrimson, @helloitsvehere, @pizzacastella, sonzaishinai and many more. The server is an active and welcoming community. In the server, I also roll out the updates for this challenge and answer all your questions. Will we see you there?
o Do i need to join the server to post?
It's not required! The server is a lil' bonus, a place where you can talk with fellow shippers about anything, but also where i will be reminding you of the challenge. We have handful of channels dedicated to this writing challenge, so it might help you out. It's also easier for me to follow, and whenever you have questions i will reply faster there than anywhere else. But, again, it's not necessary.
o If i join the challenge once, am i required to join every month?
Most definitely not! You're free to join and leave whenever you want. Sometimes a prompt doesn't inspire you, or life dragged you away from writing and that's completely valid! This challenge is supposed to be a fun way to motivate you to express yoursef through your art, but it's not school so don't ever feel pressured :).
o What tags do i include, what are the ratings we work in?
There are no required ratings and/or tags for you to use. In general, the prompts are all focused on Shyan, but if you'd like to add Standrew as a background relationship, feel free!! If the prompt is Watcher-oriented, but you feel like you need a bit of that spice that Curly brings with him, i encourage you! On top of that, you're free to choose whichever ratings you feel fit best. Personally, i mostly live off of M- and E-rated fics, but if you're uncomfortable with graphic descriptions of anything, and would rather keep it a fluffy G-rated fic, then knock yourself out! I believe you know what's best for your work!
On the shipping server, the prompt will have a set of recommended tags, these are ideas i'd write the prompt in, but they aren't mandatory. If it says 'friends to lovers' but you'd rather write 'established relationship' then feel free! It's your work after all.
o Is there a minimum and/or maximum word count?
There is a minimum word count of 50 words right now, to show that you're seriously participating (i mean, wouldn't want "he smiled, they kissed, they fucked, the end" as a fic, right?). Your work does not have to be finished in order to fulfill the prompt, you can write one chapter, or one paragraph and edit it later when you have more time. If a prompt inspires you enough to write a long fic about it, don't feel pressured to finish it within a month! Take your time!! All we ask is for you to have written a start, and post that to the collection.
o i am no writer, but i’d love to make art for this in another way, is that possible?
Of course! originally the challenge was only made for writers, because the server was filled with a majority of writers. however, over the past few weeks we’ve had a handful of artists join our little community as well, people like sonza and @berakangkang. Sonza has blessed us by filling the October prompt as well, so if you’re an artist and you’d like to participate, please join! we love love love your art. honestly. the server goes wild on fanart.
o When do i post my submission?
Everyone who joins the challenge, posts their submission on the same day. This is the last 48 hours of a month - CET timezone. The next prompt will have been rolled out a day before we open submissions, so you can get familiar with it for a day or two before starting on it.
o I don't think i'll reach the deadline, now what?
You can contact me privately about this through our discord server - for fast replies - or via my email ([email protected]). I will open the collection for you so you can submit it later. Keep an eye on the deadline though, a challenge won't be reopened a month after the deadline.
o I have an amazing idea for a prompt, where do i submit it?
On the discord server, we have a channel named 'prompts-and-ideas' where some of these prompts even came from, you can submit them there and @ me so i'd know it's for the writing challenge.
If you don't have discord or don't want to join the server, you're free to mail me your idea with Shyan Shipping Society Prompt Idea as subject! I look forward to your ideas!

I haven't disappeared (thank you to those of you who asked 🥰) but I've had some personal stuff going on (six month cancer checkup) and I've also decided to do Whumptober again, so I've just been working on art for that and obviously haven't posted any since we're still in September.
The above was one of the alternate Whumptober prompts, but it looks like I'll be able to finish all 31 promps in the main list without any trouble.
