I've truly hit rock bottom.
The major complaint with all our delusional takes regarding Tech's survival is that we are taking them out of our asses, but in this case, it is quite literally outta someone's ass.
Look, I don't wanna dunk on my main man, but Tech's got no booty. He is as flat as an airport landing strip in the Netherlands. I don't know what voodoo dark magic Nala Se did to strip Tech of the standard issue clone tushy, because our next possible candidate for Clone CX-2 is Cody, and dude is packin'.
Exhibit 1:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Certified 0° booty.
Exhibit 2:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
That's a category 10 booty right here ^.
Now, fortunately for us the creatives put Clone CX-2 in a leotard from the waist down, so we got an unobstructed view of the clone's behind and I gotta say, it's some pretty convincing evidence right here that CX-2 is Tech.
Tumblr media
Also, I made this account three years ago and have never changed the profile picture before, but today I did cause delusion is swallowing me whole.

Okay so first of all: your ASL god au is one of those Aus that I will cling to like a rabid badger and will be thinking about for the next 2 weeks. Anyway I have several ideas so if you don't mind me hijacking your au for a minute
You mentioned devil fruits came from the blood of the gods right? I would like to propose that each category of devil fruit symbolically relates to each ASL brother respectively. Logia comes from Ace as not only does he have a Logia in Canon but, unless you have Haki, Logias are as untouchable as the stars in the sky. Zoan is Sabo because the moon is always changing forms. (Also zoans remind me of werewolves and werewolf = moon.) Which means Luffy gets Paramecia. I mean such a wide variety of different abilities? Pure Chaos right there.
Also, Zoro's definitely the type to literally become a god and still be in denial. No he does not hear the prayers of hundreds of devotees every day. That's just the wind. Someone leaves some sake on an alter for the god of loyalty? Hey man if you're going to leave perfectly good sake just laying around somewhere don't expect people not to take it. No it's not because it's an offering, shut up. Listen Zoro can except devil fruits and Haki and all this other magic voodoo bullshit but gods are where he draws the line.
In other news, while most of her did sink, Merry is actually quite content being just the sail. She and Sunny are besties.
HELLO ANON. You are actually so massive brain for this.
Hijack happily accepted, this is canon to the AU now <3 :)
LMFAO Zoro's ass deep in denial and completely oblivious.
Merry also sits spiritually on Sunny's head like Luffy does and they can chat <3

hello lovely people!
i was wondering if there were any historical fics that specifically look at queer history? it could be just aziraphale or just crowley, them together or not together. it could be as far back as sappho and as recent as legalisation of gay marriage.
thank you!
Hi! We have #queer history, #pride parade, and #queer guardian angel aziraphale tags on which you will find fics of interest. Here are more to add to the queer history collection...
An Angel and a Demon Walk Into a Bar- and there is No Punchline Because this is the 80s and Everyone is Sad, Gay and Repressed by DontOffendTheBees (M)
“So you’re not here to dance.” Crowley ducks his head, his long and impressively voluminous hair tumbling about his face as he nudges his aviators down his nose, peering at Aziraphale with those cunning yellow eyes over the top of them. He smirks like the wily old serpent he is, savouring the next words he speaks. “Now, what else could possibly lure a confirmed bachelor such as yourself to an establishment like this?” In which Aziraphale gravitates to the comfort of a queer space, and winds up in need of further comforting.
and at least in this lifetime (we're sticking together) by vivelegalite (T)
[GOD, NARRATING] People tend to be torn as to which side could be credited with legalisation of gay marriage across all of the United States of America. Most people consider it an act of Good, which it is of course, and attribute it to Heaven. Some, a much less pleasant lot, argue it to be the work of Hell. They tend to back their claims up with improperly translated lines from a book the Almighty had never actually written or even really bothered to read through — I tend to outsource that kind of work — and speak of God’s will and whatnot. Both groups are, however, mistaken. The legalisation of gay marriage across all of the United States of America was brought about not by Heaven, not by Hell, but by a tragically smitten demon with a rather high alcohol concentration and a plan.
Eziraphael's Gifts: A History of Queer Faith and Longing, by Natasha Marie Johnson (Beacon Press, 2019). by actualbat (G)
"If Eziraphael has come to be known--in today's language--as the 'guardian angel of sad queers,' then it makes sense for him to have shown up more regularly in the past once that became a recognizable historical category." Natasha is really glad that she's given this talk enough times to be able to do it on autopilot, because those two funny-looking men in the back just made the most absurdly astonished faces. (Or: Not all historians ignore gay subtext, and not all immortal celestial beings have their shit together. Also, voodoo.)
it's the light (it's the obstacle that casts it) by bibliocratic (T)
It's like having a curtain pulled back on something he wasn't expecting to see. A surprise punch-and-judy at an up-scale restaurant, a lobster thermidor when he's ordered an ale. Crowley's gleefully trying to wrap his head around the fact that Aziraphale is speaking Polari. Because of course he is. Or: The Patron Saint of London's LGBT Community is real, and he lives in Soho.
Under the Blazing Sun, Thy Footsteps Track by Elfgrandfather (T)
Aziraphale and Crowley keep finding themselves mixed up with a rather queer lot, and eventually have to contend with what it might mean, both about their own identities and their relationship to each other.
Surpassing All the Stars by KannaOphelia (M)
There was a faint tracing of scales along the woman's cheekbones, tracing down her thin arms and lean thighs. The nipples on her pale, almost flat breasts were dark as night. Fiery red curls fell over dagger-sharp shoulders sprayed gently with more black scales, and the golden eyes were wide and snake-like. The woman was beautiful, but hardly human. "Crawly," the woman said with disgust. "Was that the best you could do, angel?" "I said I didn't have much imagination." Aziraphale's lips were heavy, and she was almost sure she wasn't forming the words properly. There was some kind of spell over her, holding her almost immobile. The venom must have been paralytic. If she had been human, she supposed she would have been dead. Her corporation didn't like it much either. "What name would you prefer I use for you?" The stranger tipped her head on one side, considering. "Crowley?" Aziraphale almost laughed. The whole situation was simply too irritating. If she was to die now, at the hands of some local deity, the paperwork hardly bore thinking about. And her precious work on Sappho's poetry, gone. "Crowley, then. You're a nymph of some kind, I take it?"

Do you think there’s a meaningful distinction between “witches” and other magic users in the marvel universe (beyond, potentially, gender)?
Witch and warlock are obviously treated more or less as gender-swapped synonyms and both have somewhat negative connotations that don’t get associated with people like Dr Strange (afaik), but I feel like there might be more to it, I’m just not sure. Calling Nico or Billy a witch feels more accurate than calling Cleo or Victor a witch, but I can’t figure out if this is grounded in anything besides my own opinion
Yes, actually! We can identify social, cultural, mythical and practical factors distinguishing "witches" from other types of magicians. However, those distinctions are not always clear. As you noted, the word "witch" is often used very broadly to describe any female spellcaster. As a reader, you'll have to rely on context to determine whether the writer is denoting a specific type of magician, or just using gendered language.
Functionally speaking, all forms of magic are basically interchangeable. Most spellcasters have the same powers and abilities, and writers don't always put in the effort to make them feel unique. That doesn't necessarily bother me, so long as they are tailoring the language and imagery to suit each character's background, but that doesn't happen as often as I'd like. Again, you'll just need to use critical thinking to figure out when a lack of distinction is really just a lack of creativity and effort.
With that out of the way, let's break down what we do know about witchcraft, and the history of witches, in the Marvel world!
Tumblr media
Social: Witches have historically gathered in covens, settlements and societies, and have even endured literal witch-hunts. In real life, this is not quite the truth, but it Marvel comics, we can say that witches comprise distinct societies which suffer distinct forms of persecution. We also know that many witches belong to a magical lineage, and that these witch families often use a special naming convention to identify themselves with unique colors and symbols, indicating that witches have unique customs and traditions setting them apart.
Cultural: In Marvel comics, all forms of magical or spiritual folk practice are literally real, in the same way that all mythologies and polytheistic religions are literally real-- Asgard is a real place, Thor is a real person, and spells have real power. Witchcraft is typically represented as a form of European folk magic. Other traditions, such as vodou, voodoo, and multiple forms of Indigenous spirituality have also been demonstrated, and are often grouped together, along with witchcraft, under a broad category of "cultural magic." As shown in Midnight Suns, many of these traditions from around the world have a certain shared history, as the Coven at Mount Wundagore included representatives from numerous cultures.
Mythological: "Witchcraft" itself exists as an abstract entity, like Death, Nightmare, or Eternity. She is the source of witchcraft's power, but also a symbolic representation of all witches and the natural balance of magic, and she is sometimes worshipped as a goddess. Witchcraft resides at the heart of the Witches' Road, an Inner Plane uniquely accessible to witches that transcends time and is connected to many of the mythical realms. Witchcraft may also be intrinsically connected to chaos magic-- ancient witches were responsible for binding and harnessing Earth's natural chaos magic; Witchcraft, the entity, is shown consorting with an abstract Chaos entity; and we know that Wundagore and the Darkhold are connected to many cults and covens throughout history.
Practical: Unfortunately, this is the weakest area. For a brief time, Wanda's magical practice borrowed a lot of Wiccan motifs, which was problematic in its own right, but in modern comics, we just don't get to see enough of how witches, specifically, do magic. Most characters who practice some form of traditional magic have a closer connection to natural elements and the spirit world, and they may have particular powers related to their background. Doctor Voodoo is a great example, although the actual depiction of his culture is deeply flawed. Scarlet Witch (2015) introduced certain unique abilities, such as witches' sight; specific mechanics around the cost of magic; and a style of spellcasting that relied on Wanda's knowledge of real-world languages and magical symbols. Billy and Nico also use varying degrees of wordplay, so I like this approach and I would focus on building that into a cohesive magical system if I was a writer.

First Vizi associates Voodoo and Hoodoo with something evil when in reality that closed practice culture that connects the people with their ancestors. Then she has the nerve to put a Muslim imp in the same category as Christianity Hell when in reality they have a different belief in Hell. That's like saying all indigenous practices are evil and the same because they are "barbaric". I just live that twitter post is being muted and many aren't having this "representation"
Know Vizi I bet she called a Romani person a g**** and how they have dark magic and make contact with demons 🙄
I absolutely love the word Gypsy, I'll never be ashamed of it, and the internet can take it from me when they fight me for it, but if anyone's going to make a 2023 depiction of Gypsies that makes me hurl a brick, it's probably going to be Vivzie.
Viv mangles everything she touches because she just doesn't care.

These are some of my favorite books, podcasts, and blogs that can help you develop your spiritual practice even if you have zero previous knowledge. All of these resources are approachable enough for total beginners, but I also recommend them for more advanced practitioners who want to brush up on the basics. Haechan Ideal Type (Astrology Based)
Tumblr media
i will be looking into haechan's moon and venus for this. as i don't see any birth time (if anyone knows please notify me) so i will not look into any of the houses
leo moon || gemini venus
okay so there wasn't a lot of information in each category so i'm going to combine everything into one section. i think i'll start doing this from now on (especially when house placements aren't known)
"you change your mind, like a girl changes clothes" in a relationship haechan's partner needs to be able to handle his flip floppy attitude. one second in their life and present, the next second hard to reach. can even be, one second smothering you with affection, the next stand-offish
this mostly pertains to the type of person he is with...
partner a: complains a lot and depends on him for EVERYTHING he'll want to be far away from them as possible and may even insult them just to showcase how much he truly doesn't like being around them (but he won't break up. leo moon's unless there is a damn good reason are faithful despite being miserable in a relationship) partner b (the winner/ideal type): self-sufficient can solve their own problems and doesn't depend on him to be there if they are in a sticky situation. this will bring out haechan's affectionate side. now with this, i do want to say that i think he can truly be depended on as long as it's nothing too serious. if there are heavy emotions going on, he'll probably ghost people lol
"a "partner" worth fighting for!" someone who plays hard to get. he likes the chase, so if he finds his partner being too easy to get to he'll get bored rather quickly and may find someone else
i should also note that even if there is someone he is looking at with great interest, he probably has other people on the back burner just in case
"what's around the riverbend?" someone who loves life! he wants to share everything with his partner. go places, do things, live life with them so someone who enjoys being out and about as well will be a good match
someone playful and energetic as well! he wants to have fun with them. leo moons have this inner child quality about them so having fun/a good time is what they love
"she's in to superstitions...black cats and voodoo dolls" jk but someone who has this air of mystery around them. someone he can't figure out immediately will surely grab his attention. remember he likes the chase/the hunt so someone who really makes him fight for it will be someone he'll grow interested in
brains over beauty...well sort of seriously with his gemini venus someone who can stimulate his mind is going to be ideal for him. their intellect with trump their physical appearance. he likes sexy brains, but he's still a guy so he does like someone physically attractive to his standards that is
such a wise ass... someone who is sarcastic. seriously this dude is such a smart ass so someone who is just like him will be fun in his eyes
someone free-spirited and open-minded
"just do your thing" haechan is free and independent (air quality here) so this means someone who doesn't depend on him all the time. who can take care of themselves and handle things on their own. who goes after their dreams and doesn't have to ask him about them. someone he doesn't have to baby/worry about
"you don't own me" these damn air signs...i swear...so hard to tie them down...like a balloon floating in the wind... -_- okay, haechan with his gemini venus self is a free person (as stated above) which means he doesn't want to be tied down or doesn't like the illusion of being tied down. so someone who is possessive is a no-go
(thanks a lot haechan...your scorpio noona here is heartbroken now T.T)
i challenge thee! someone who can hold their own in a debate/argument. it wouldn't surprise me at all if this little sh*t (love you haechan <3) wouldn't start a fight on purpose. it's the mental stimulation that gets his blood pumping. of course this would be in good fun. think of it like how he purposefully pisses off doyoung, renjun and jeno, and to some extent jaemin until he cowers in the corner haha
lol someone with a good sense of humor
curiosity doesn't always kill the cat someone who is curious about the world and wants to expand their knowledge about different topics
so, what'cha into these days? he may like someone who keeps themselves busy with different hobbies/interests. i take this as they are keeping themselves busy, living their life how they want to, and can share their experience/knowledge with him
chatty kathy someone who is talkative! this gemini venus loves to have deep conversations. think on a more random/intellectual/philosophical level and less about "where is this relationship going." topics should be kept light and fun
extroverts vs introverts okay, so someone more out-going is ideal (social is a better word), but as i'm sure we've all seen haechan has an introverted side to himself. i don't think he would discriminate after first meeting someone (as i would think he'd be shy around them as well) but when he's seen/hung out with them a few times if they have a dry/shy/non-talkative personality he most likely won't be interested
"on the ground" someone who has their feet firmly planted on the ground. haechan is more logical/intellectually based. someone with their heads in the clouds may get the "why the hell am i with you?" look from him jkjk

Scottish Folklore of Cursed “Dolls”
Tumblr media
There is a rarely talked about (though seemingly uncommon) historical custom in Scotland that will likely sound a lot like the exaggerated “voodoo dolls” (which, despite the name, are not prominent in Haitian Vodou or Louisiana Voodoo) of media.
The Scottish version is a doll that is a form of sympathetic magic(a magic category invented by Scottish folklorist James George Frazer).
Sympathetic magic has two varieties; one of which requires similarities, and the other requires contact or “contagion.”
“The former principle may be called the Law of Similarity, the latter the Law of Contact or Contagion. From the first of these principles, namely the Law of Similarity, the magician infers that he can produce any effect he desires merely by imitating it: from the second he infers that whatever he does to a material object will affect equally the person with whom the object was once in contact, whether it formed part of his body or not.” “The Golden Bough” by James George Frazer(1878)
The dolls of this topic are a form of imitation type sympathetic magic. For these, the dolls were crafted with ill-intent in the likeness of the person you wanted to curse, then what was done to the doll was thought to harm who it was made to look like.
While they are called dolls, they are not really what you might expect a child to have. Instead, they are sculpted of clay but not cured in an oven.
“An image of the victim was made of clay, and because it had a certain resemblance to him (likeness denoting real connection), it was believed that whatever was done to the image would produce a similar effect on the person whom it represented. “ “The misty isle of Skye : Its scenery, It’s people, Its story” by Eneas Mackay, Stirling, (1927)
It could be stuck with pins and needles to cause aches and pains, or you could do far worse. For example, if you put the doll into a stream, as the clay broke up in the water, so was said to gradually happen to the targets health.
“When any one wished evil to another he made a clay image of the person to be injured, and placed it in a stream with the head of the image against the current. It was believed that, as the clay was dissolved by the water, the health of the person represented would decline. The spell, however, would be broken if the image was discovered and removed from the stream. In the counties of Sutherland and Ross the practice survived till within the last few years.” “Folklore of Scottish Lochs and Springs” by James M. Mackinlay (1893)
It is perhaps no surprise that this was not a type of magic talked fondly about, and is instead classified in books as an evil act of black magic.

And now I shall discuss multilingual cussing. I am going to focus on Reyna, Leo, Nico, and Hazel. Frank is bilingual but he doesn't cuss.
Reyna left Puerto Rico when she was ten, so she probably didn't know many cuss words, if any. Her Spanish curse vocabulary probably stopped there since I imagine Circe's resort spoke primarily English and/or Anchient Greek. She may have learned some Anchient Greek curses there as well as English ones. I belive she uses some Latin curses in the books, so either those are instinctive or she picked them up from her fellow soldiers. Probably both. In conclusion, Reyna can curse in English and Latin, and also possibly Spanish and Anchient Greek.
Nico was six or seven when he left Italy in the forties, so I can't imagine he knows any Italian curse words. Even then, he probably wouldn't have picked up any until he emerged from the Lotus Hotel because he was a child and you didn't curse around children if you could help it, so if he heard any they were never repeated often enough for him to learn them until he was thrust into modern day cussland. However, he also probably picked up some Anchient Greek and Latin curses from the camps. Also we hear him curse in Anchient Greek and English.
Leo grew up with Spanish and English as equals and was never forced out of his Spanish-speaking environment, so he can curse fluently in both languages. He may have picked up some curse words from Camp Half-Blood and the Romans he hung out with, but I imagine it's primarily English and Spanish. He canonically curses, but most of the time it doesnt specify in which language.
Hazel was also a forties child, and even though she doesn't cuss much in the books, we know she can because of that sentence concerning schist. It seems that she prefers placeholders, but that doesn't mean she doesn't have an arsenal of curse words. We know she knows some English curse words and might know some French. Also probably Latin, because even if it's not instinctive these children are soldiers and soldiers cuss a LOT. (Don't attack me about stereotypes, I know this for a fact.) So anyway, for Hazel we have English, Latin, and possibly French.
The reason I think Hazel would know curse words in the forties but Nico wouldn't is because even though they both live in large cities (New Orleans and Washington, D.C.) Nico's family probably would have moved to an already-established Italian community with other Italian people who just wanted to escape the War and go on living as they had in Italy. That doesn't necessarily mean anything in terms of what kinds of people are there, but it does lend to the probability that most of them are Catholic and had enough money to get them across the ocean in the first place (not allowing for stowaways), so they're probably proper people who would never cuss around children. Hazel, on the other hand, is the daughter of a voodoo queen whose clients were basically everybody. Rich people, poor people, scallywags, respectable people, people who didn't fit into any particular category at all. The point of all these words is to say that prior to the Lotus Hotel, Nico led a relatively sheltered life and Hazel lived where all the walks of life converged.
So this has been my incredibly long analysis of what language these people cuss in. Yes, it is something I think about for my own characters and I believe it is worth knowing.

Love Magic & Ethics🖤
Tumblr media
Art created by Abigail Larson
What is Love Magic?
Love magic is commonly viewed as magic used for attracting love. Depending on the belief system love magic can also be used for many other things. Glamour magic, hexes which cause impotence, break up spells and manifesting a partner can all be considered subcategories of love magic (depending on the tradition or how you classify different types of spells). Love magic has attracted a lot of attention in recent years because many people struggle with the dynamics of romantic relationships. Love magic can often feel like a quick fix but it is something that should be done with caution (& after you have put some protections in place).
Love Magic in Different Cultures:
Love magic has been used in many different cultures across time and is still one of the most popular forms of magic today. Even in movies, the idea of a love potion persists (the first example that came to mind was Julian from Madagascar and his love potion #9). In ancient Greece love magic fell into two different categories, curses of separation and curses of attraction (Magic, Witchcraft & Ghosts in the Greek and Roman Worlds by Daniel Ogden).
Love magic also has very strong ties in many POC practices (voodoo being an example) and therefore certain methods may be closed to most practitioners. These ties are also why a standard set of ethics is not possible. The morals that modern practitioners may want to impose on love magic do not stand the test of time and would not have been realistic in many of these practices. It is important to not force a set of ethics on any practice because they will not work 100% of the time.
My Ethics for Love Magic:
Disclaimer: Love magic, like any other form of magic, requires you to come up with your own ethical guidelines. I am sharing my personal guidelines based on personal experience (meaning I've had to fix a lot of mistakes). If you do not agree, then do not incorporate them into your practice.
Don't try to manifest your ex- trying to force something back into your life that isn't meant to be there is just bad news. They may come back but it will only be to remind you why you aren't meant to be. Painful and unnecessary.
Don't batch love spells- this one sounds strange and I probably wouldn’t have put it if I hadn't made this mistake before but I have and it had some unwanted side effects. If you are doing self-love spells for multiple people, do them individually. Doing them all at once can accidentally bind those people together which gets messy.
Don't try to force someone's affection- there are plenty of better ways to get someone to like you more with magic without trying to force it. Instead of casting on someone, try casting on yourself and it will likely give you the result you want (or something better).
Trust the universe’s timing- less of a rule and more of a reminder. Manifesting a partner is great and all but the universe works on it's own timeline and trying to speed that up isn't going to benefit anyone. The "perfect" partner will present themselves when we are ready to accept them and not a moment sooner.
Casting on a partner is okay- if someone is in a consenting, long term relationship then I don't believe they need to consent to spell work being done on them (which may be controversial but hear me out). Not everyone is open about their practice and not every partner believes in witchcraft. If you want to do spell work on your partner and it is coming from a loving place (ie. you just want to spice things up) then I see no reason why you shouldn't be able to.
Do divination before love magic- this is a hard rule that I have and it is one that I strongly believe everyone should consider. I believe it is important to confirm that the spell you are going to do will work in the way you want it to before you do it. Sometimes spells come into fruition in ways we did not expect and that can be dangerous in love magic. Doing divination can help mitigate or prevent any serious fallout.

WORLD WRESTLING ENTERTAINMENT/FEDERATION MAGAZINE: OCTOBER 1996
EL SID!
THE POTENTIAL IS ABOUT TO BE TAPPED
By Vince Russo
In the early 1990s I just didn’t buy it. This man didn’t belong in anyone’s shadow. Especially a champion who had by far seen his better days. In my opinion, I will always view WrestleMania VIII as a disappointment. It should have been Sid's day… Sid’s year… and Sid’s era. Instead, a voodoo man, a Warrior, and immaturity crashed and ruined his party, thus forcing him almost into obscurity.
In 1992, at WrestleMania VIII, Sid Eudy should’ve, would’ve and could’ve beat Hulk Hogan. He was bigger, stronger, faster and smarter than the then champion. Unfortunately, in his own words, he was not ready for the “big time”. A hometown boy from Arkansas, Sid was not quite prepared for the lights, cameras and action of the World Wrestling Federation. As a matter of fact, before a deserved rematch could have even be issued, Sid had already packed his bags and headed back to “Razorback Country”.
After some extensive soul searching, a more grown-up, seasoned Sid made his comeback to the World Wrestling Federation three years later in 1995. Little did he know that the hurdle that would stand in his way this time was not himself, but rather something that would be far beyond his control. His “greenery” was small potatoes when compared to the professional jealousy that Sid would have to overcome in order to get to the place he wanted to be… the top. Kids, I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again–WRESTLING = SPORTS ENTERTAINMENT = BIG BUSINESS = POLITICS and with politics comes jockeying for position. Yes, there are many Willie Shoemakers at TitanSports, both outside…and INSIDE the ring. When Sid made his long awaited return, those who ruled the ring at the time may have been intimidated by him… in more ways than one. He was the new kid on the block, not to mention the new “BIGGER” kid. Fans immediately began cheering him because he was “cool,” and that became threatening to many of his peers. I was at Monday Night Raw in Macon, Georgia, on  February 20, 1995, when Sid debuted as the new bodyguard of Shawn Michaels. To say the place became an asylum would be an understatement! When Sid made his way down that aisle, the patients went beyond CRAZY! They ripped off their strait-jackets and got ready to rock!
Folks, to certain individuals–THIS WAS NOT GOOD.
“Warning, warning, Will Robionson. An intruder is looking to steal our spotlight!” That’s right, IN MY OPINION, a certain number of Sid’s peers may have been shaking in their boots. If Eudy were, by chance, to become more popular than them, it would be devastating… devastating to their egos, of course, NOT to the business as a whole! So, in more ways than one, they saw to it that Sid was buried. And, buried he was. Left out to rot… fossilize… chum for the maggots.
For the next six months, Sid would lie low. IN MY OPINION, he had become a victim of “circumstance”. For understandable reasons, he may have become sour with the business. The politics seemed to have pushed him into the “could have been” category. He even went so far as to announce his retirement from the squared circle. If this truly was the case, then it would be nothing short of a tragedy. A wasteful loss not only to the World Wrestling Federation, but to the business as a whole.
But wait, at the end of the tunnel you could hear the firing of a match. Yes, there was light.
The balance of power shifted among the ranks of the World Wrestling Federation, largely due to the almighty buck. Those who may have buried Sid earlier were not being buried themselves in a gushing flood of undeserving greenbacks. Remember, those who tore Sid down behind his back said it was for the “good of the company”. Well, my question is, “Where was the ‘good of the company’ when you were negotiating behind the boss’ back?!”
You  know what, scratch that. I’m not going to get up on my soapbox because that is not what this commentary is about. This commentary is about SID. And, for the reasons I am about to mention, I strongly believe that Sid’s time has arrived!!!
Along with Bret Hart, Shawn Michaels is probably the most “confident” individual I have ever known. He doesn’t worry about the “threat” of others overthrowing his Kliq because as the World Wrestling Federation Champion he realizes what he brings to the dance. He doesn’t have to tear down others to build himself up, because he already is the tallest skyscraper in the city! He has no shortcomings. Nothing to hide or protect. He has the belief in himself that no man is  going to knock him off his perch. It’s the security of himself. Shawn Michaels knows that Sid is good for the “business”. He’s a monster with a personality and people will pay money to see him! Sid will help everybody–including Shawn Michaels–in the long run.
With Shawn Michaels on top, there is no question in my mind that Sid’s time is NOW! Politics can take a beat seat and let him do the driving! The potential has only thus far been tapped… but now it will EXPLODE!!!
Yes, Sid Eudy just may soon… “RULE THE WORLD”!

Jasper Gets Mad About "The Goodly Spellbook"
Also, re: Coven Olvenwilde, FUCK THEM. Their spellbook is shit and appropriative, they're big on that whole fucking duality of gender thing, and they have some of the grossest fucking takes of all time. And this is coming from the Monarch of Cold Takes themself, so you know it's bad.
Here's an excerpt from the Two Polarities section on page 75 that made my eyebrow pop off of my forehead:
The cosmos is inherently balanced. It provides both light and dark, both life and death, both laughter and tears. For every yang, there is a yin; for every day, there is a night; for every active, outward, or upward action, there is a passive, inward, or downward reaction - and vice versa. Male and female, Sun and Moon, rich and poor, fat and thin, I and you, us and them - there is no one without the other.
And then on page 164, under the title Three Times' the Charm, we have:
Crafters' cosmology contains many triplicities: matter, magic, spirit natural, celestial, and ceremonial magic Goddess, God, and spellcrafter Maiden, Mother, Crone seeker, initiate, elder virginity, fertility, wisdom male, female, hermaphrodite birth, life, death past, present, future beginning, middle, end up, down, around in, out, throughout and so on...
Like, maybe I'm just a weird Gen Z kid (I say, as a 20-year-old grown-ass adult), but it's pretty tone-deaf to say that male and female are pure opposites and then say that they're actually two out of three genders (ignoring the fact that the term "hermaphrodite" is generally seen as a slur and the preferred term is "intersexed", which has been in use since well before this book was published).
Did I mention that the G slur is used more than the term Romani is? This book actively contributes to the exotification of Romani as "terrible sorcerers and powerful healers".
And I get it, this is a very specific Wiccan coven's craft that we're seeing a snapshot of here, but that doesn't excuse the fact that a good half of the spells written in here are derived from cultures that the very, very white members of Coven Oldenwilde have no business sticking their noses into. There are so many spells here derived from all kinds of cultures with no respect whatsoever for their origins, gods called down without any context of what they're actually like, and a weird obsession with purity as it's connected to the color white, which I'm sure my dearest mutuals have already torn apart enough of.
In the healing section alone, we have:
To Summon Strength's alternate variation, which has you create a mojo bag (which is NOT the same as a spell bag, let's be clear) and invoke a Welsh figure (Olwen) that some people believe to have once been a sun goddess. It also lists "Chinese magic" as part of the inspiration for this version of the spell, but I for the life of me can't figure out where the connection is.
To Induce Therapeutic Sleep, which is said to come from Greek and Native American magic but namedrops a Roman god.
To Break A Drought, which "originates" in Korean, African, European, and Native American magic, calls explicitly to invoke a Korean figure (Aryong-Jong) that the writers claim is a rain goddess. This spell's first line in the spell variations category is, "Stop a drought in deliciously Witchy fashion - strip skyclad, go adoors, and dance in the light of the full Moon amidst droplets from a water sprinkler." Don't do this, especially as the weather turns colder, or you will get sick because you're prancing around naked in sprinkler water.
To Heal Computer Eyestrain which claims to be "Romani magic" (naturally using the G slur instead, because we can't possibly see Romani as people, now can we? SARCASM); did I mention that this book cites Charles Leland for this spell? CHARLES FUCKING LELAND?
To Heal Wounds And Broken Bones is somehow derived from traditional European magic, "German variant", Voodoo herbalism, Irish magic, and Coven Oldenwilde's own practices. Did I mention is also calls for you to invoke Woden?
To Ease Childbirth somehow draws on lore from Ozark Mountain, Hawaiian, Filipino, Roman, German, Sumatran, Chittagong, Punjabi, and Sumerian cultures. It's a whole buffet and isn't even a fucking spell! It's just a list of superstitions!
And we can't leave well enough alone, can we? Because the final spell in the healing section is To Cure Mental Problems. Yes, It's just as ableist and bad as you think it is.
In conclusion, fuck Coven Oldenwilde.
I'm gonna go eat chocolate until I get sick now. Peace out.

Lore Dump: Regarding the Supernatural
Note: This is gonna be a bit of a short one as it's more of a clarification for people who have Muses that are tied to the supernatural.
So, let me just get this out of the way and say that yes, there are elements of the supernatural present within the original SR games (although more so the first two, and that expansion I don't even consider canon). And while they aren't exactly anything that substantial, I've always seen that as an invitation to explore the concept further. Cause really, how the hell do you not love the idea of mashing organized crime and stuff that's far beyond the realm of comprehension together? It's definitely had a hold of me ever since a particular boss fight in the second game, but that's something I'll get to in a second.
Anyway, let me just lay it out like this; in the first SR, after the death of an important character (no spoilers on the off chance one of you actually wants to check out the series), you are given the chance to call up a number you might have seen around the map for a business known as Eye for an Eye. They are run by voodoo practitioners who can revive the aforementioned character, and have them come back as a zombie homie. This can also be done in the second game after the death of another major character.
Now, in addition to Eye for an Eye, we have a character introduced in SR2 who goes by the name of Mr. Sunshine. He is the second-in-command of the Sons of Samedi, a Haitian drug cartel led by a man who goes by the moniker of The General. Mr. Sunshine is important to our discussion because he is the first instance of The Boss encountering someone tied to the supernatural in the main plot, and not have it be just some silly little easter egg.
This is mainly shown during the fight you have with him (the mission is fairly graphic by the end), where Mr. Sunshine pulls out a voodoo doll that's able to both knock The Boss around, and keep himself invincible until the doll is shot out of his hands. Yet even on the brink of death, Mr. Sunshine is seemingly capable of reviving himself over and over again, right until The Boss decides to just decapitate him.
With all that said, you're probably wondering just what in the hell does any of that mean. Well, I think it's pretty simple; if the game is going to go out of its way to depict something as abnormal and clearly supernatural as that was, in a main mission no less, then what does that tell you about the rest of the world? What else might be lurking around that people might not be fully aware of? And yeah, I know it's kinda silly to go that buckwild over tiny little hints of shit being a little weird in this universe. But like hell am I keep myself or anyone else from taking the opportunity to explore that further.
And let me be clear, I'm not looking to do anything totally out there. There is a way to depict something regarding magic, the supernatural, and anything else that may fall under that category in a way that's both very interesting, and acknowledges that in a modern setting such as this, it's not commonplace. So I would absolutely love to do that with y'all. I love those kinds of settings, I love throwing Django into these situations where he has to deal with things that are soooo out of his league. It's a lot of fun! And I hope you can see that vision as well.

50 Days of Fetishes Day 34: Witchcraft
For someone who is so into the idea of "witch”* I've done surprisingly little evil witch roleplay. What I have enjoyed, though, is playing with witchiness and ideas connected to folk magic in other  scenes: Binding someone to me. Using someone's real true name (i.e. not their scene name) to have power over them. Having folktale-esque rules- for example, if you repeat something 3 times it automatically becomes true. Voodoo dolls. Asking someone make a sacrifice of part of themselves to make the hypnosis spells work- or compelling them to make a "sacrifice" when they feel helpless and possessed/enspelled. Possession.
There's a fun of playing around with these tropes and I'd love to do it more. I bought a class that @HypnoHedonista and @Sylvan_Hypnosis on Twiter taught about using magic concepts in play recently and I'm looking forward to actually having time to watch it and broaden my play. I'd also love more  of your ideas if people have them!
BONUS SELF PROMO AND RECS
I made an Evil Disney Princess file a while ago that could fall into the witch category- https://m.soundcloud.com/ella-enchanting/evil-disney-princess…
Some stories- This scenelog, witches+ ageplay, sexy Puritan witches, LTR brainwashy witch play, dryads?, not explicitly witchy but in that vein
Mesmerotic and Imaginatrix make a lot of fun-looking stuff with ideas around magic and witchcraft and folklore (part of why I'm so excited for the class!)
Imaginatrix was part of this film that is too porny to be up my alley but is certainly witchy enough to be intriguing
Derren Brown has occasional fun witchiness to steal from. I've done a version of his voodoo doll trick before that I really enjoyed
* I'm not pagan or religiously witchy- it just feels like a natural avatar for me
