Found out about the game when he was playing an open world rpg with his gamer buddies, and one of them was talking about how HOT the characters were, and the other was talking about how the most recent arc made him legit cry, and he like, never cries bro, for real for real! So naturally, to keep up with the cool kids, he downloaded the game after he logged off for the night.

He's fascinated by who you are, the way you live, your personality…it's so exciting for him! That's why you're his favorite. He likes interesting things and by golly, you're entertaining!

He wants to prank you so bad. He knows he would get great reactions from you, if he flipped himself upside down and appeared out of nowhere. He is also CERTAIN that you would appreciate all the love and care he puts into his cooking. He imagines pressing a spoonful of food(?) To your lips and you taking a bite, smiling at him with your gorgeous smile. And maybe glitter starts raining down from the sky and you profess your love for him and how you fell in love with him for his cooking. (In your fucking dreams Lilia)

He has a couple of your cards, but even though you're his favorite, he isn't too picky about who he has. He just wants the most powerful deck to demolish his enemies and brag to his gamer friends. Sorry, love, he's a general first and foremost.

He ranted for three hours about how stupid and a waste of time playing video games is to the first years, then Malleus came in to show off his new card, and the app just appeared on his phone as he vibrated at a high frequency over the fact that Malleus shared his joy with him.

He picked you as his favorite because he is certain, despite your humanity and magiclessness,  you would be the best person to help him defend Malleus. (He tells himself that, but really it's just an excuse to simp over you without looking like a simp)

He likes to think about showing off to you if you were real. You'd appreciate his strength, his survival skills, his adoration and dedication to his Lord. You'd be his perfect partner! He likes to imagine felling a large opponent, and then having you rush into his arms, dabbing his sweaty forehead with a towel, as you praise him.

Cards? Huh? He isn't super good about how the game actually works. He gets the story elements, but he doesn't get the battles. He doesn't even know you have cards. It's a miracle that he's ever progressed in the story.

He downloaded it because his dad recommended it. Lilia had been going on and on about it, and he just gave in and downloaded it. He played it everyday for a week, and then forgot all about it.

But his subconscious never forgot you. He'll see you in his dreams. Maybe he's napping in your lap and you're stroking his hair. Maybe you're making flower crowns in a meadow together. It's always something peaceful that makes his angst over his sleeping condition a little less.

He's very confused. Sure, he loves the person in his dreams, but he has no idea where you came from. Maybe someday he'll see you flash across Lilia's phone screen and he'll remember the game.

He thinks video games are a waste of time.

He's also that fucking professor that even though you are adults and he really can't do anything about it, he pauses the entire fucking lecture if he hears one person talking or sees one person on their phone. Like bitch, this ain't high school. It's their own fucking fault if they aren't paying attention. Let them fail. Keep the lecture moving.

Sorry Vargas simps. Video games don't build muscles. He only does squats in his free time, and nothing else.

His "friends" told him about how popular it was growing. So he downloaded the game to see if there was anything he should put in stock. Then the fish Mafia came to him about a partnership, where they would make merch, and he would have it in the back for sale, both online and for those in the know. How could he say no to a deal like that?

You're clever with a hint of mischief. He loves it. You'd be his number two, his partner in "crime". He can feel it. He also knows you'd be impressed by his magical abilities. He could show off to you with the simplest of tricks, and then you'd both extort a rich business man. Ah. True love.

He has three of your cards, but he one hundred percent is hoarding all his materials for when you get a truly marvelous SSR card. He's pretty much guaranteed to get it with how much he has saved up.

Some Redacted Characters Playing Phasmophobia Headcanons

For any of y’all who don’t know, Phasmo is a kinda glitchy ghost-hunting horror game where ya gotta gather evidence to figure out what kind of ghost is haunting the “map” go watch someone play it, I think it’s hilarious

I’m not gonna play that game myself but I can watch others play it no problem

Shaw Pack

David straight faces through everything. Never sounds scared over the voice chat

Angel is laughing right next to him because he does have a death grip on their leg

Asher never turns his radio off so everyone can hear him at all times

Is also 100% fearless and knows all the background lore hints by heart

He still screams if he gets got by the ghost though

Milo. Yelps. At. Everything. And jumps

Like seriously if Asher puts something down too close to Milo, he will jump

Sweetheart is sitting nearby laughing their head off

Darlin’ plays with their mic muted unless absolutely necessary so their packmates don’t hear them yelp when something startles them

However they are also very efficient and ridiculously lucky when it comes to hiding and surviving hunts. Even better than Asher and he’s totally not bitter about it

That said Darlin’s not afraid to let the ghost get them in order to mess with the others by leading the ghost right to the boys

Milo’s totally not holding a grudge over it

The mates also have nights where they play together but Sam is kinda grumbly so his mic and controls are co-piloted by Darlin’

When the mates play together Angel always charges in headfirst, bold as brass, and ends up somehow doing most of the work and not dying even when their sanity stat plummets. They ignore almost all of David’s advice sitting next to them because they’re better at the game than he is

But they also scream and jump a lot more (most of it for show to entertain their friends who always get a good laugh out of it)

Despite being almost as good as Asher, Baaabe almost always gets got by the ghost first

Usually because the ghost was chasing Sweetheart and true to their Stealth nature even in a video game, they broke its line of sight and hid and the ghost caught sight of Babe

Sam is usually… there. When it’s Mates Night Game Night he stays in the van/truck. Darlin’ is the loudest backseat gamer

Darlin’ drags Sam into this game

Vincent loves this game

Lovely takes a long time to come around on it because being hunted in the dark by an unseen force kinda reminds them of Adam

Sam doesn’t know how literally anything works to the point where Darlin’ and Vincent tease that he’s refusing to remember what all the items do on purpose. Vincent calls him an old man and Sam shoots back that Vincent was literally born one year after him and just turned younger and to shut his damn mouth

Which of course makes Vincent laugh harder

Lovely eventually tentatively starts playing the game because of how much Vincent is laughing with Sam and Darlin’

And over time Lovely gets really good at it. A lot of it seems like dumb luck but no. They’re just good

D.A.M.N. Fam

First of all, the four-person multiplayer limit means Gavin/Freelancer and Huxley/Damien take turns and eventually Lasko and his Water Elemental I presume

Sometimes Damien and Huxley are both on the game and Gav/Freelancer swap, sometimes vice versa, etc.

Lasko screams at everything at first, but as he slowly learns the game he actually becomes the best at recognizing the patterns of each ghost type’s quirks

Damien tries so hard to get good at the game and never seem scared but Huxley’s laughter over the mic always clues the others into when Damien got spooked by something

Huxley jumps occasionally but usually just does whatever Lasko instructs him to do with a “sure thing bro” and his usual chill attitude

Although when he does jump there is always an audible thump over his microphone of his knees hitting his desk

Gavin and Freelancer honestly spend the whole game night messing with each other. Trying to jumpscare one another

Or Gavin is pretending to try to seduce the ghost and the lewd noises he makes while talking to the ghost with the spirit box with the radio on totally don’t make Lasko turn as red as a tomato

To their credit, Freelancer does try on their turn. It’s not their fault they get super focused and then Gavin putting a hand on their shoulder to ask if they want a snack makes them shriek much to the amusement of their friends

Lasko’s Water Elemental is even more chill than Huxley and played this game for ages before meeting the group and does their own thing but always to the benefit of the group. Rarely uses the voice chat for more than a few words announcing their intentions. “Power has been turned on.”—“Freezing temperatures confirmed in the upstairs back bedroom. That’s where the ghost is.”—“The ghost is hunting.”—“Okay. Hunt’s over.”

Freelancer and Gavin refuse to show this game to Caelum

Freelancer occasionally announces a false hunt to freak out the others—and almost always a real hunt starts right as they admit they were messing around and they’re the first to get got

If Freelancer isn’t down first it’s Huxley, who will purposely draw the ghost’s attention to protect his friends

That said the whole group usually survives the whole expedition each round once they get good at it

Misc. Bois

Aaron doesn’t play but Smartass does. Aaron becomes a decent backseat driver for lore

Elliott and Sunshine actively sabotage each other and mess around more than they pay attention. They still get everything done correctly anyway

Starlight plays occasionally and Avior never does but he will watch and he is the absolute best pattern recognizer and the best backseat gamer

Guy loves this game to pieces. Sometimes it makes Honey jump. They do play with him a lot but Guy is better at it

Ollie is the Actual Best at this game but no matter how much he plays it and “Gits Gud” as it were, he still gets spooked. His partner will play but not necessarily understand everything they’re supposed to be doing

The Project Meridian bois don’t have time to play right now. Please leave a message and they’ll call you right back

Geordi gets so easily spooked by the noises but he loves the game anyway. When things are happy and fine Cutie gets a kick out of listening to his frantic thoughts

Morgan can’t See his own future so the mystery of what’s going to happen is quite enjoyable because it’s the opposite of meeting new people and immediately knowing them better than they know themselves by Seeing their entire future

Blake can See his own future so the game isn’t fun and he knows what it’s going to be every time

context: You and Sunghoon were stuck together. No matter what. You grew up together, always in the same school, classes, neighborhood, EARTH, and now, you had to be paired up with him for a science project. You guys were never too fond of each other, always competing with one another. This afternoon, you were headed to his house to continue your project.

It was 6 in the afternoon, and you were headed to Sunghoon's house. It was the time of the year when the night came a little earlier, so you wondered how you would come back home during the night. Finally arriving, after a good 10 minute walk, you knocked on the large door.

A middle aged woman opened it, a smile growing on her face as she sees you. "Y/n! Oh how good it is to see you, how are you!" She asked your slightly silly self, as you allowed yourself to be comfortable with her. Sunghoon's mom was in fact a very easy going woman.

After conversing for a short bit, she let you make your way to the devil's room (Sunghoon). Walking up the stairs and spotting his familiar room's door, you sigh. You brought yourself to finally knock on it. Ready to face the quite annoying boy, you waited. Waited.. and waited.

The man's not opening the door.

You knocked again now, a little louder and a little faster. "Sunghoon, open the door" You said, rolling your eyes. Seeing and hearing no sign of him, you decided to just barge in.

Opening the door, you finally found him. Playing on his computer. He had a headset on, which explained why he didn't open the door for you earlier.

"Are you serious" You said sighing. Sensing a presence, Sunghoon turned his head and finally saw you.

He gave you a nod of acknowledgement and looked at his game again. 'Is this dude really ignoring me?! Did he forget he had a project to do?' You thought to yourself. You frowned and finally spoke to him. "Sunghoon, get off your game" You threatened. He glanced at you and simply responded with "No".

You rolled your eyes again and approached him, placing down your backpack on his bed as you made your way towards him.

"Dude was that Y/n" You heard from Sunghoon's headset. "Bro you got a girl in your room? Dang man I didn't know yall were like that". Two different voices. "Shut up you fucking idiots" Sunghoon said. You quirked an eyebrow at him. You obviously knew who the voices belonged to, Jay and Jake. Then, you looked at his screen.

You could recognise that game anywhere. "Wait you're play overwatch?" You asked the boy. He looked at you a little weirdly. "Since when do you play games? I thought you were always busy doing uninteresting things that uninteresting people do" He verbally attacked you.

Offended, you replied quick. "Hah, funny because I'm ranked Grandmaster 2". That was a really high rank in the game. Yet you really owned it.

He frowned. He didn't believe you. "That's the funniest crap I've ever heard you say" Sunghoon said. "That's like saying you're Yuzuru Hanyu" He continued, still looking at his game.

You chuckled at his statement and shrugged your shoulders. "Let me play then I'll show you" You told him. You heard oooh's from his headset, and there was even more people than before. You could count 4 voices.

"aagh, fuck I died again" Sunghoon spoke loudly. He stared at you and realised what you said. "What, are you so scared that I'm better than you at this, Hoonie?" You teased.

"What the fuck, no I'm not" He frowned at the nickname and at the threat. There was no way you were actually ranked higher than him. He then smirked and told himself, 'no way'. The boy proceeded to mute himself and his friends.

Sunghoon pat his lap, as he faced you. "Come here" he ordered. You stared at him weirdly. "What, no" You denied his offer. "I'm not moving from here, I already spawned again, don't lose more time 'cause we're losing over here".

You thought about it for a second and gave in. 'What's the worst that could happen' Is what you thought, before looking at him and placing yourself on his lap.

He smirked and let yourself get comfy, he then disconected the headset from the PC, and unmuted his fellas as well as himself on discord. "I'm back, Y/n's gonna' show you guys how she plays" he laughed, telling his pals. "You really have no faith in me?" you said.

He chuckled and answered you playfully, "no, no I don't". His friends, which are also his classmates, teased the competitors for a minute, and stopped when they all realised Sunghoon's character, Hanzo, already had gained 4 kills, quickly advancing to the end.

Sunghoon's jaw almost fell, as he watched you play. "Waah she's really good" You heard Riki say. You chuckled. "Not too talkative, are we, Hoonie?" You teased him, quickly shut down with a 'shut up'.

You were pulled away from focus when you felt Sunghoon's arms wrap around your waist and pull you into a more comfortable position.

That action had made you die in the game, breaking your 10 kills streak. "Yah, what are you doing, I was carrying the team" you asked the boy. Muffled sounds were coming out of your classmate's mouths, as you practically dissed them.

You were so conscious of his fingertips against your t-shirt, you couldn't even concentrate to aim again. "Hmm? what are you talking about, I'm just getting comfortable" Sunghoon "innocently" answered.

You frowned a bit as you moved around to forget about it, which made Sunghoon groan quietly. You pursed your lips as you remembered you were in fact sitting on a boy. Even though you thought that you didn't care about him that way, you still had to be careful. He's still a guy with hormones. It was kind of too late to think like that, since you could feel a poke coming from beneath you.

You breathed in, before concentrating again. You seemed to forget what just happened after a short while, because your focused face said so.

Sunghoon found himself staring at you and forgetting almost everything else. Key word: almost. I mean, he was, having a boner because of you, but he was quick to ignore it, even though it was hard.

He was cut out of trance when he heard his friends screaming in victory and you smiling at the praises. "Y/n pass me your user and discord now please! We have to play again" You both heard Sunoo say.

Then, Sunghoon realised that you proved him wrong.

But fuck, why was he smiling at you?

Okay okay so listen so I'm thinking of an au where reader is turned into a monster and has a sibling who was also experimented and made her very pretty like a man or women will fall down to their knees for them

Reader gets turned into this 8/9 foot monster and is very dull with emotion and is somewhat aggressive only to the things they claimed as theirs and is always chain if not their just walking around a cage like their waiting for something or sit down and paint if the scientist gave him some paint and a canvas. Bit team 141 plus Las Almas go on a mission to where reader and their sibling is and they rescue both of them and reader just watches them when both of them are healing.

During the stay the sibling gets really clingy to the boys while reader just watches them not fully trusting then and only giving a chitter or a grumble to them.

And Las almas ad team 141 are really jelly because reader is purring around a new member who just excepted his fate and just gave reader effection and reader loves the new member because he was shiny and gave reader little things.

And laswell decided to put the sibling and reader in training and to everyone's shock reader looked like he knew everything how to shoot a gun, how to load a gun, and how to take down a man. It was like his body knew how to do it bit reader just shrugged and went on their day while the sibling was pouting.

141 is fascinated by what reader paints and reader just looks very confused when they gave him a complement and just chitters.

While the sibling is trying to get the boys attention bit failing so and gets pouty.

After a few months reader still giving most of their attention to the recruit while learning new things (like cooking, dancing, speaking, crocheting, knitting) and the sibling is all fussy everyday because the boys sometimes ignore her because she's fucking annoying and shit but never got annoyed when reader came to them and softly tapped them with their sharp claw on their shoulder make them jump sometimes and nod at reader who signed to them for a bit of help not really good at speaking still and they just nod and help them.

But laswell decided to let them go on a mission and team 141 see reader being a shadow and brutal to the enemy's and sibling being good also and making it quick when they kill.

And after a few months they had to raid a house that sold legal info about the military and team 142 had to go and they did and quickly killed everyone and reader was no where to be seen and they were looking for them until they heard a baby cooing and the turn around and see reader with big pupils like a cat and purring really loudly while holding the tired/giggling baby.

And reader decides to take care of them baby with laswells permission and when she says yes reader is taking care of that baby like holding the baby, feeding the baby, staying up all night for the baby all of that.

And 141 and Los almas (including konig) fall inlove with reader slowly while sibling is still trying to talk with them 24/7 and shit.

Bro I've been fucking thinking kf this shit for a long time and if someone made this I'm on my fuciing knees for them.

I know I know what yall will say "gamer your a writer why don't you make it?" Yes I know I can make it but I'm lazy and currently working of requests and my pacific rim fanfic

As I said, I've written the the duo/trio/group names down idgwjsy this is not all of it since idk some and I refuse to acknowledge MANY. (Will be updating constantly methinks)

I'm sorry for everyone who finds duo/trio/group names cringe and want them to end, but this is literally a way for me to organize stuff and make it easier for me. Yeah they're annoying sometimes, but duo names help me find art/analysis/general information about a friendship in the server without having to search up individual names. Because everyone has stuff other than that one specific friendship.

Like, if I search up 'Foolish Gamers' hoping to find some good Castleduo content, I will NOT find it easily. If I search up 'Foolish Gamers and Cellbit' I will only see stuff about them individually and not together. What I'm saying is, duo names are there (at least for me) for accessibility. And I don't WANT to combine their names because that's what fandoms usually do for romantic ships, which duo names are decidedly NOT.

But I do agree that the fandom should stop naming duos by the players' first random interaction. Stressduo? Really? Stop it, I BEG. At least think of something creative ToT

Anyway, enough ranting and rambles, duo/trio/group names below the cut!

Cucurucho Buddies - Jaiden and Foolish (They named themselves, it's because they both like Cucurucho despite it being evil)

FrUK FACE family Parent Trap AU, part 3! Part 1

So, Alfred and Matthew are cabin mates with a new and tentative understanding of each other. They still hang out with their old friends, but being together every night means they’re spending a lot of time together. And lo and behold, they actually start to like it? To like being around each other?? Whodathunkit! Their personalities seem so different at surface level, but it turns out they actually have a lot in common. A passion for sports, a love of the outdoors, similar tastes in movies, games, and comic books, and - of course - a childhood growing up with an expat single dad. It’s a surprise how easily and quickly Alfred and Mattie start to bond once they’ve taken the first shaky steps. Soon they’re choosing to spend time as a twosome outside cabin hours, without being asked. Eating together, playing, goofing off, being each other’s buddies for activities, it’s not long before they’re inseparable. BFFs in the making.

It happens so fast that others can’t help but notice the eerie similarities between the two of them. It was always in the background, but now it’s front and centre. Of course they start to notice as well and, now they’re past their antipathy, feel curiosity instead of hostility. Nothing really comes of it until one evening they’re hanging out together before lights out as usual, when Alfred casually brings up his dad. Mattie, cat curious, asks him about Arthur.

Alfred launches into a long, rambling account about Arthur Kirkland and their life together in New York. Matthew listens, very interested. He can tell that while Alfred complains a lot about his dad - his strictness about proper bedtimes, healthy eating, awful cooking, not too much screentime even though Alfred is basically already a pro-gamer! etc. etc. - he adores him. Alfred finishes, then asks Matthew about his papa and their life in Quebec. Mattie tells him all about Francis Bonnefoy in turn and Alfred is equally enthralled. Matthew doesn’t complain as much, though he does get a few good shots in about his papa’s fashion obsession and hatred of fast food (no Tim Hortons for Matthew!) Alfred can tell how much Matthew loves his papa.

Mattie finishes by telling Alfred about the fluffy, white puppy Francis bought him for his birthday, even though Francis isn’t the biggest fan of animals. All that fur shedded on his fancy furniture! Alfred is very jealous - their apartment doesn’t allow pets - but gets distracted when he realises Mattie has the same birthday he does. What a coincidence! Exciting, though. They can meet up and party together!

Matthew agrees. Then he hesitates and asks Alfred if he can ask him something personal. Alfred says shoot, bro. Mattie asks if Alfred’s other parent came to his birthday party. Alfred is quiet for a moment and Matthew worries he’s gone too far. He’s about to apologize and tell Alfred to forget it, when Alfred shrugs and shakes his head. He’s never met his other dad. Arthur refuses to talk about him, point blank. It’s one of the few times they’ve ever had truly heated fights beyond their normal spats.

Matthew listens quietly. Alfred asks him if he ever sees his other dad. Mattie tells him no: like Arthur, Francis stonewalls him whenever Mattie asks about his absent father. Mattie has never pushed it like Alfred did, but from Francis’s reaction, he could tell his papa would be angry if he did. Hurt, too. So hurt.

“So, we’re both the same,” Alfred says slowly. “Weird, huh?”

“Yeah,” Matthew says. “Really weird.”

Two boys, both the same age, both with Western European expat single dads, both with the same birthday, both with the same face.

They sit in silence for a while, pondering all these weird coincidences. Then, Alfred tells Mattie that it’s not strictly true that he knows nothing about his other dad: he knows what he looks like, or at least he thinks he does. Mattie asks him how. Alfred says he found a picture while snooping through his dad’s things. Buried deep at the bottom of a box in the loft was an old photo, dated to Arthur’s college days. There’s no name, just a date. The photo is of a handsome, blonde man, dressed in fashionable clothes, leaning in to kiss someone. It’s ripped violently down the middle, cutting off the other person. The stranger looks eerily like Alfred: the tousel of his hair, the tone of his skin, the shape of his ear and mouth. Finding the photo was one of the biggest shocks of Alfred’s life. He didn’t dare show Arthur for fear that Arthur would confiscate it but, even so, Alfred was certain he was looking at his other dad for the first time. He hid the photo and kept his new secret close to his heart.

Alfred doesn’t tell Mattie the mushy part, just all about his sick detective and ninja photo finding skills, but then he trails off at the look on Matthew’s face. The other boy is white as a sheet, looking like he’s about to faint. Alarmed, Alfred asks him what’s wrong.

“I have a photo of my other dad,” Matthew whispers. “And it’s ripped too.”

Alfred instantly feels dizzy, his mouth going dry.

“Right down the middle?” He falters, heart pounding.

Mattie nods.

“Right down the middle…”

Matthew found his photo by accident. Francis, flustered and running late one morning, had asked him to go fetch a folder of documents from his home office. Mattie ended up searching the wrong drawer, purely by chance, and happened to find the photo at the bottom. Again, there was no name, just a date. The date Mattie’s papa was at university. The photo is of a punkish, blonde man, dressed in spikes and leather, leaning in to kiss someone. It’s ripped violently down the middle, cutting off the other person. He hid the photo and kept his new secret close to his heart.

“Do you have it with you…?” Alfred asks.

“Yes…”

Both boys stare at each other, then silently get up as one to dig the photos out of their things. Then they face each other and stare at the photo clutched to the other’s chest. Mattie’s not the only one trembling now.

“Can I see?” Alfred says.

Matthew nods.

“Can I?”

Alfred nods. He says they should both look together. Matthew agrees. They decide on three.

One…two…three!

Shaking hands flip the photos and put them together. The photo is whole again. Francis and Arthur at a university party, tipsy on both cheap mixers and the first flush of love, smiling and leaning in for a kiss.

(Here, I should take a moment to mention that this whole AU was heavily inspired by @kan-be’s beautiful art. In particular her college AU and pics like this this and this. This beauty in particular is how I picture the kiss photograph, just a few seconds earlier 🥰)

“That’s my dad!” Alfred yells.

“That’s my papa!” Mattie cries simultaneously.

“So-! S-so, we’re like brothers?” Alfred gabbles, heart racing and stomach a butterfly breeding ground.

Matthew has tears of joy in his eyes when he answers:

“Al, we’re like twins!”

Then there’s laughter, hugs, and more tears than Mattie, and certainly not Alfred, would ever admit to.
