Yeah The retconing did it for me, i wanted the ugly emotions with the raging confrontations but Hoyo just keep softening them up, and I can’t with it anymore

Funny how my top two GSR fics are named the same thing, but hey, they're both amazing. I was apprehensive because of the "calling Soap Roach by accident" trope, however they really diverted my expectations and made these three really feel like equals in a relationship. Really love how they made sure to establish a strong dynamic between Soap and Roach instead of pitting them against each other. And Roach isn't just some 2D character here, he's very nuanced and I love it!

intro to my blog

hey! been meaning to remaster my masterlist (which can be found below along with basic rules for requests) and I just realized I'm just kind of some mysterious writer. i literally never introduced myself

so first, hi! my name is koolade! I also go by ade or cinnamon. all pronouns are alright with me, but I mostly use she/her and I’m 19! satan is my favorite obey me character, but mammon, belphie, and thirteen are close seconds. my favorite color is pink, I love cats (I have five <3), and hot tea! I play project sekai, genshin impact, and honkai star rail (I actually haven't opened obey me in months haha).

I have two side blogs: @koolade-reblogs for reblogs, and @koolades-thoughts for anything else/misc!

for my posts, I try to make one daily from between five pm and ten pm est, depending on what time I finish that day. sometimes I do post more than once, but usually those are random thoughts, and I don't do that often. Most of the time, I do queue up the posts, so please keep that in mind too! right now I'm just writing for obey me but if you happen to want something from the games I have listed above, I would be glad to write them as long as it's not too regular of a thing since this is mainly an obey me blog. Yae Miko, Aventurine, and Akito are my favs so if they have anything to do with it, I'm at your service (red flags I know but my second favs are green flags i swear!! lol)

please try to keep it to just the brothers or the datables! you can mix and match but it's difficult to write so many characters so please keep that in mind. the fewer characters, the more I can write for them so if you want something more concentrated, do one or two characters

if you have a specific format you want, let me know! I usually do headcanons, but if you want, I can do a drabble or a full on fic. headcanons will be done fastest, followed by drabbles, then fic

while I don't mind requests through comments, I'm very bad about checking them so please send them to my inbox instead, if you can!

I usually do a gn reader, but if you want something other than that, let me know! I actually don't refer to the reader all that much since I usually write in second person

I will do: fluff, angst, hurt/comfort, something mildly suggestive, and really most anything as long as I can do research on it! I try my best :3

I won't do: nsfw, anything super intense, and strong blood or gore. maybe one day I'll do nsfw but as of now I just can't seem to get it down

Like all the parts of himself that felt scattered and chaotic and weren’t making any sense are finally settled in the right place, glued together by this realization, by this one simple word – bisexual. The only person who knows so far is Maddie, and he wants to tell everyone else, wants them all to know, and wants to share how happy he is. Besides, he thinks she’s going to explode if she keeps it from Chimney any longer – and once Chim knows, well, even with the best intentions, he sucks at keeping secrets. He doesn’t want Tommy to be his secret. “And I want them to know you’re my boyfriend.” he adds confidently.

He feels like every single action, just getting up, getting dressed, pouring a glass of water, getting something to eat, just anything takes much more effort than it should, than it used to. Living takes much more effort than it used to. Sometimes he thinks maybe it’d be better if he- He doesn’t want to die, not again, not really, but he can’t help thinking that he’d rather not be here. Not when he feels the way he feels. He doesn’t feel like himself, he’s just putting up a front, a Buck-shaped mask in front of people. He feels like a hollow, empty vessel. He just- he doesn’t want to be here.

It’s sweet and soft, and it makes Buck’s stomach flutter even more, but at the same time it feels like everything is finally as it should be, like relief, like coming home after a long trip, like taking a breath of fresh air after being in a smoke-filled burning building. It feels familiar, like home, like they’ve been doing this forever, like maybe they’ve been in love through multiple lifetimes, always finding their way to each other. It’s a ridiculous thought, a little bit, that he knows Eddie would fondly roll his eyes at and tell him there’s no such thing as past lives or fate. Buck believes what he believes, though. He feels like he’s loved Eddie for an eternity, and he’ll love him for another one, or a hundred, or a thousand eternities, as long as the world keeps turning, and if there’s anything after that, then even longer. He’s never been more sure of anything in his life.

“I know.” Evan chuckles, his gaze settling on Tommy’s. “I just- I really want to.” “Okay.” Tommy repeats, smiling, and waiting. It’s fine if Evan changes his mind, but this is his to initiate. Tommy will wait. He’d wait forever, is the thing, and it’s scary, with how short they know each other. “Okay.” Evan echoes, and then he’s grabbing Tommy’s chin, similar to how Tommy grabbed his during their first kiss. His thumb nestles into his cleft, and Tommy sees a flash of an endeared smile before Evan’s lips are on his, fingers not letting him go.

(of course she's at the age that it's legal for her to date lesso) but one day reader is just in a terrible mood so lesso tries to make it better (in her own way) and maybe like not care anymore that they should be hiding their relationship and just wants to help the reader feel better? (I'm thinking about lesso not caring at the moment that a lot of students and even teachers {just dovey probably} notice they have something going on) i literally adore your writing and all of your fics. i hope you have a great day/night! love you! <3

funny story haha (frankly, i’m pissed) acupofqueercoffee is still shadowbanned and it being shadowbanned was like rain on my parade. now normally i love me some rain but this? geez it sucked me dry of motivation, and subsequently all the inspirations i’ve had for some of my fav characters too went down the drain 🙃

Everyone has those kinds of days. Such days where the sweet serenades of birds may sound a little too boisterous, so you wake up feeling awfully groggy. Then, a cup of your morning coffee which is usually your saving grace may have been a little too hot, and since the universe has decided to make a mockery of you anyway, why not entertain her by burning yourself too?

So, instead of black orchids and dark butterflies splendidly backdropping you, storm clouds hang gloomily above you as you sit in class on a not-so-fine morning.

In the meantime, Lady Lesso is finding it odd and maybe a touch- oh who is she kidding, awfully unbecoming that her little vixen is not paying her any attention. You are completely immersed in the subject at hand, or so you appear to any onlooker. The evil dean, having mapped a good few inches of your body with her lips however, is not just anybody, far from an onlooker, and so, she knows. Your usual cheeky little grin along with a wink here and a blow of kiss there whenever the two of you lock eyes has been absent the whole morning. By the time the sun is directly overhead, and you have yet to maintain unabashed eye contact with her, let alone, blow her a kiss, she decides to take matters into her own hands.

When you find a bouquet of your favourite flowers on your desk, if only for a moment, your mind travels back to the conversation with your professor-girlfriend. It is the same conversation that eventually leads you to the conclusion that this beautiful and overly conspicuous bundle of sweet fragrance cannot have been from her. She has made it abundantly clear after all that your relationship is to remain strictly private. Although the flowers are rather painfully charming, and the scent, heavenly divine, the giver not being your lover takes all the glee and giddiness out of the equation. You do not want it if it is not from her, honestly cannot care less from whom it is. Hence, out the window and down into the moat, it goes.

It has come out of her lips themselves that public display of affections is highly inappropriate and therefore, strictly prohibited. And yet, here she is, finding it even more unacceptable the fact that you are making do without your sly little displays that are meant for her. They have wormed their way into her heart as have you. She is craving, according to herself, the very inappropriate itself. The irony is an eye-roll worthy.

During lunchtime, the dean deliberately plants herself in front of you, subsequently blocking your path out the main hall, but her intention may have flown over your head, for you navigate around to leave.

Uncaring of the many eyes observing the two of you, she catches you with the hook of her cane, pulling you back until your bodies collide.

“Something’s wrong. Now, speak.”

When the all too familiar voice that oozes charisma caresses your ears, your back is pressed against an equally familiar body. You look up, gaze into those arrestingly beautiful eyes.

“I’m in a terrible mood today is all.” Your sigh is received with a scoff. “Welcome to my world.”

A befuddling silence has befallen the hall. A silence so profound that if a pin is to drop, it will echo through the whole chamber. When you peek around the dean’s body, you understand why. All eyes in the hall are on the pair of you.

Immediately, you are jolted into action, moving away, or rather, trying but failing miserably to yank yourself out of firmly fixed arm that is twining round your waist with stubborn determination.

“What will remedy that?”

The query colours you slightly dazed.

“Wh- huh?”

“Your terrible mood.” Her voice is smooth when she explains, and smoother still as she repeats. “How can I remedy that?”

Thinking is not necessary. Your answer is immediate.

“Oh, well, you will not find my needs agreeable.”

“Oh?” Not only do you hear her voice, but you also feel it on the very tip of your ear. “Test me.”

“Forehead kisses and a hug. A hug alone is fine too, but preferably both.”

Although you are secretly hoping that she will meet your needs, a part of you is adamant that she will certainly refuse any kind of affectionate displays especially in public. All thoughts leave your head when she surprises you by swivelling you in her arms. And just like that, you find yourself engulfed in an embrace. She has as good as swept you off your feet, for only the very tips of your loafers remain touching the ground. Almost instinctively as if it is where it belongs, you bury your face into her chest, breathing her in, the scent of home. Your home.

“Are the flowers not to your liking?” She asks after a moment.

“Hmm, what flowers?” It takes you a while to think, but, as soon as the monstrosity of a bouquet comes rushing back into your head, so does the realisation. “Oh, no!”

The urge to dive into the moat and search the bouquet is all consuming. And you almost do, trying and yet again failing to disentangle yourself from your woman.

“Leave them be.” She says, cages you in her unwavering arms.

“But, they’re from you!”

“These, too,…” You feel her lips descending onto your forehead, peppering one, two, three kisses before you feel them move once more. “…are from me.”

As Lady Lesso stands with kiss-stunned little you snugly enveloped in her arms, she catches Dovey staring at them, wide-eyed and open-mouthed. Her good counterpart seems to be totally oblivious to the fact that her teacup is overflowing with the tea that keeps pouring out of the teapot in her hands. There, too, sits Anemone moving to stop the teapot that keeps making a mess of their table, but once her eyes follow her friend’s and lands on the two of you, the evil dean watches, eyes teeming with cheeky amusement, as her jaw falls comically open.

I want someone (not me) to write a Bodyguard!Sladick fic - but in a very specific way (I'll probs end up writing this unless someone beats me to it (pls beat me to it someone, I can't commit to another WIP))

Basically, someone kills Bruce Wayne. And not because he's batman, but because he's rich af and refuses to sell his land in Gotham (bc yk, bro can't sell the fucking batcave and all his safe houses full of Batmerch). But no one knows who killed Bruce and why but they all believe it's because they found out Batman's identity and needed him out of the way for something.

21 year old Dick Grayson, who hasn't spoken to Bruce or had anything to do with the Batfam for two years, is asked to come back for Bruce's funeral and reading of the Will. Turns out, Bruce left everything - and I mean everything; cape and all - to Dick. Dick is now The Batman, the leader of the JL, the billionaire, the CEO of Wayne Enterprises, and also the legal guardian of not one, not two, but three kids. Jason and Tim was understandable, but Bruce never mentioned to Dick about having a kid with Talia al Ghul of all people. In all fairness, Damian was only dropped off at Bruce's feet two months ago. (Note that I'm fucking around with the Batboy's ages. Thus, Jason is 16 (bro died young), Tim is 14(bro was crazy stalking so young), and Damian in 9(bro is just young))

The killer, however, is still at large, and is now targeting Dick, the new Prince of Gotham, and his kids. But Batman (Dick) can't get involved just yet, the Batfam don't know what exactly the killers knows about them and Batman - it's too risky. But Dick can't just not do anything. So he calls the one person he knows will keep his family safe - for the right price, obvs.

Dick has money to play with and Slade loves a good game.

Basically they make a contract that issues Deathstroke as the bodyguard of the Grayson-Wayne Family until Bruce's killer is handled.

Only, Slade comes with his own baggage (aka a 9 yr old Rose Wilson) and Dick is stuck training (aka raising) another kid. But that's fine, because Slade ends up being less of Dick's bodyguard (let's face it, the kid can handle himself), and more of Dick's bodyguard-with-benefits/mentor/business partner/mental-support-bestie/drinking-buddy/private-chef/co-parent/stay-at-home-husband/love-of-his-life.

They get very domestic in this fic. And Slade has to wear a three-piece suit when following Dick around as he plays Gotham's Billion Dollar Prince and Dick can't stop riding him in the back of the Batmobile because Slade looks waaaaay too good in a suit.

But raising kids is hard, especially when you're 21. So Dick faces a lot of challenges in this fic - like his undead brother, Jason, trying to come to terms with Bruce dying right after they started to mend their relationship, and Tim who was just recently fired as Robin after one simple mistake, and his new rage at Bruce for that and dying (he refuses to believe his dead), and fuck - the nine year old assassin and grandson of Ra's al Ghul, Damian, who never truly had the pleasure (misfortune?) of knowing his father. Than there's Rose Wilson, who doesn't really know English all that well and is dealing with the trauma of watching her mother die before her.

So Dick has to really step up - as a business man, as a leader, as Batman, and as a father.

Luckily he's got Slade, who fuck's like he fights. It tuff that Dick is quickly falling in love with Slade, and Rose, who he can't help but see as his kid, too.

Oh I love this idea so much, its great!! I would love to read it as well ahaha and I might write something 👀👀 but it's a big project so I wouldn't be able to do the whole thing

I love bodyguard Slade stories, I'm a sucker for those honestly haha and I love how here he's protecting not only Dick but the whole family. And its just so delicious that Dick hasn't talked to Bruce in so long and now he's thrown back into his life- but Bruce is dead and Dick has to take on the mantle and help the city and raise three kids and keep them all alive and not go crazy and-

I love that you're making it even more messy and difficult for Dick by putting Rose in the middle of it too lmao. I can already imagine all the trouble the family would have together

Slade wearing a three piece is a sight and I don't blame Dick at all 🙈🙈 But seriously, I adore their relationship in this, it's so complex and complicated. I can imagine them bonding over some whisky when the kids are deep asleep and Dick getting frustrated with what his life is now and Slade just letting him cry while holding him close AGHH SO GOOD

I’m just here to say that I love your art! I was introduced to it through clone wars and your fox art, then when you went to cod at the same time I was getting into it I was so excited! Your latest fox and thorn art just reminded me how much I missed the clones and I’m now also getting back into the clone wars brain rot haha

I feel like so many people from star wars got into COD haha (not only because of my art!) it really is fun to see!

I am happy you like my art, no matter what I post <3 I try to make my art more diverse this year and not only stuck to posting one thing.

Honestly the last eps in tbb with the clones reminded me how I missed the clone wars so I rewatched some of my fav scenes from tcw, I also want to do a rewatch, and then I downloaded one super long fic about clones that I just cannot stop reading, it's so good! i’ve also decided to completely revamp the way i do my recs lists. before the descriptions were too vague and lazy. now i’ll be giving my own description along with what i thought of the fic. looking back on my old recs lists i cannot believe they got as many notes as they did when they were so crappy LOL

Kuroo x reader, demon kuroo x reader, magic/modern au. do i really have to say more?? this fic…! so you are just the run of the mill museum worker (btw your co worker is tsukki), living a boring ol mundane life. until you find the demon prince kuroo who accidentally traveled to your universe and is now unfortunately stuck due to you destroying the item that brought him here. now, you are stuck with this spoiled demon prince and are forced to help him search for the missing shards of his gem that brought him here so he can travel back home. cmon, tell me that doesn’t immediately want to make you dive into this fic. the tension between reader and kuroo drives me insane. and you’ll come to know that tsukishima can be a little shit. 10/10 so far, ongoing

Iwaizumi x reader, roommates au<333, friends to lovers. you are in need of a roommate. you see an ad for a girl named tooru oikawa looking for a roommate. you jump at the chance and are looking forward to moving in. you think everything’s perfect until you get to your new home and see that tooru isn’t a girl, and that he has a very friend who also happens to be your roommate. oikawa won’t be difficult to live with, but iwaizumi? and his hotness? def gonna be a problem. this is the perfect quick read. it’s so good for when you’re in a reading stump and need a pick me up. iwaizumi makes you feel all mushy inside🥴. and the ending has to be one of the most satisfying fic endings i’ve read recently. completed

You are a famous ex child star and current professional model. you and professional volleyball player ushijima wakatoshi are paired up together for an ad campaign. to overcome unavoidable rumors, the two of you decide to fake date until things calm down. nothing can go wrong right? hehe. i love ushijima. i just love this man. everytime i read a fic with this man i’m blushing. what i really liked about this fic is was how short it was (occasionally i enjoy a nice quick read) and i liked the build up of reader and ushijimas relationship. it felt very real for me. sometimes when i’m reading the fake dating troupe i feel like the authors sometimes force the relationship. i didn’t feel that at all while reading this fic. ushijima is such a sweetheart and gentlemen here. love this fic please read it <3 completed

Akaashi x reader, sort of enemies to lovers? There’s a challenge going around. Get the attention and “break” the handsome setter of Fukurodani. No one has completed this, no one’s even gotten close. However, when curious little y/n decides to partake in the challenge, she gives akaashi a run for his money. This fic is a guilty pleasure. It was a nice break from the other complicated fics i’m reading. It’s a very easy read and i love it for that. Honestly, a couple times throughout this story akaashi was getting on my last nerve. like just be with reader?? but overall it’s such a fun read. one of the best ways i can describe this story is idiots in love. oh and konoha is a little interesting in this fic too ;) completed

Atsumu x reader, enemies to lovers. you are the manager for Inarizaki. you and atsumu have never gotten along. the setter has always been a pain and you thought maybe things could improve over time. they didn’t. but now you’re being forced to tutor him, will things get better? this fic is hardcore enemies. atsumu and reader hate each other. this story is still in its early stages, so we’ve only seen a little build up with reader and atsumu. but i love the hatred between them. it’s so raw. it’s not the bullshit enemies to lovers where they kinda don’t like each other. they strongly dislike if not hate each other. i cannot wait to see this story blossom and progress. ongoing

Ushijima x reader, soulmate au. in a world where you are bound to someone for life, all you want is to be with your soulmate. however, after finding him, and living with him, what do you do when he loves volleyball more than he’ll ever love you? i’ve said this before, but i tend to stray away from soulmate aus. this one is one of the few exceptions. honestly as much as i adore ushijima, he could be severely annoying throughout this story (which was intentional). this story does have some scenes which may be triggering for some which the author includes in her tags, so check it out and don’t read this one if you’re uncomfortable with those topics. overall, this story is a good example of how good a soulmate au can be without forcing it too much. completed

You're gonna wanna read the tags and warnings on this one because it is an angst-filled epic that jumps around in time through the years of Leo's career. Breathtaking at times and still a work in progress (but updated pretty regularly), I've read it more than once and it's currently my favorite fic in fandom.

Taking Chances by loebala

Top and a bit of a dom Leo, but it's not just that it's the whole feel of this fic--Leo around La Scaloneta and the friendships and vibe is just fantastic. It's all told from Dibu's pov and it's everything I never knew I wanted lol. So smut but a whole lot of other stuff too :)

Mistakes I Made and Won't Bend by BermudaRhombus

This fic starts with Pep leaving Barca and deals with his friendship/relationship with Leo in the years afterward, up until the present. I think what I love about it is even though we've all seen how Pep talks about Leo in the press and what not, he still hasn't quite figured Leo out after all these years.

If you're in the mood for a little smutty abo, this is the one for you. And if you've been following me long enough, you know I like my abo consensual, so this one was right on the money for me. This one was a fun ride--but then again threesomes always are and even more so when everything doesn't always click into place. It starts after Leo's left PSG and has arrived in Miami, and explores how the three of them move from friendship into something more. Neymar doesn't know what the hell he wants, and Kylian is just struggling to hold onto Neymar. And then you've got Leo who's older and wiser but nonetheless invested in trying to keep his loved ones happy. I'm not a huge Kylian fan but this worked and it's well worth the read.

Here's another by gabyteller but I'm not sorry. This is a totally gen fic, which sometimes I dig and I think you will too. It's about Leo's troubles at PSG, dealing with shitty fans and shitty teammates and it's told from Ramos' pov as he struggles to figure out what Leo's deal is. Bonus fatherly Pep lol.

I've never been disappointed by a LeoDios fic and though a lot of times they're emotional as shit, they're always worth it. This explores Leo being back in Paris with Neymar after winning the WC. Leo's teammates are also great in this, special mentions of Kylian, Veratti and Ramos.

Tu misterioso alguien by inkofsouls

Fairly sure I rec'd this already but if not, shame on me. Post WC, dealing once again with Leo and Ney at PSG. All from Ney's pov which is a huge fucking mess but he's got a lot to deal with so we can't really blame him lol. Really enjoyed this one, maybe because we know how frustrating Leo can be and we get to experience that along with Neymar haha.

If you haven't read goodcostume before, you're in for a treat. I love their writing style and somehow everything is hilarious. This fic is Kun in Qatar at the WC--true to life he's had his heart condition so this is him on the side watching it all, or being dragged into Leo's bubble the way he should be.

I have a few WIPs from other fandoms (not 911) that I abandoned a long time ago and now the source material has changed too much for the fics to make sense to finish which is sad cos some of them I was really excited about (RIP the Australian Adoption Adventure fic).

What are your writing strengths?

Descriptions, particularly of physical intamicy/tactile situations cos I'm hyper aware of where everyone's limbs are at all times. I think I'm pretty good at getting character's verbal tone right too.

What are your writing weaknesses? Other than finishing WIPs?? Long fics, honestly. I have so many ideas but find it really hard to plot out and execute long form fics.

First, I like long sentences. I almost said run-on, but I usually love a good comma. Or three. I know this about myself. Long sentences, but short paragraphs. ("I want a fic with a short paragraph, and a loooonnnng, long sentence." - CAKE, probably.)

And, lol, I knew I liked to set up my POV right away, so the reader knows whose head they're in, because I appreciate that as a reader, but damn. A name as the first word 8/10 times is hilarious, even to me. I'll try not to be self-conscious about it from now on.

I think it's pretty appropriate that 4 of them start with Steve (Steve is my fav, and my draw into this show), 2 are Eddie, and one each for Gareth & Di. That seems to be a pretty accurate representation of my Stranger Things fic writing splits, haha.

(And for fun, yes, Take the Money and Run and Tuesday's Gone With the Wind both start with names, too: Steve and Eddie, respectively. And I just looked at my two other "medium-ish" unposted fics I'm working on, and yep: Steve and Eddie starters. Again. 🤷)

I also checked, and while I still like to use a name, I see that I'm far more open to starting a drabble with something other than a name than I am a longer piece.

Don't bore us, get to the chorus when I'm strictly limited on words, I guess. 🤣

Hmmm I’d say Mastermind, the Great War and Midnight Rain are probably the most ssk coded :3 bigger than the whole sky COULD be ssk but only if chuuya had actually been a vampire and tried to kill Dazai I think :3 could also be post-divorce ssk but I don’t think the divorce was ACTUALLY tragic enough for bigger than the whole sky. Ask Game! OKAY SO I know this is asking for one specific character, buuuut I'm going to go through more than one character haha. To start;

Toph!

I was just talking about Toph in a server a couple of days ago, and I feel like people mischaracterize her a lot, but I kinda don't blame them! Toph is kind of a tricky character to write! But I read so many fics that just boil her down to "tough girl who doesn't take shit and bullies everyone" and like, yes, there is some truth to that, but she is also so much more! She's soft, she listens, she's genuinely a kind, good friend, despite her rough demeanor! There's a reason Sokka opens up for the first time about his mother with Toph.

Azula!

I adore Azula to bits, I love her, I want to see her get better and get another chance, but man, I hate how people lately have been woobifying the crap out of her lately (this happens to Iroh and Zuko too!!). I seen an argument on TikTok that Azula had a right to mortally wound Aang because it was SELF DEFENSE?! I thought OP was joking, but uh, nope, they were completely serious haha. You can't say you love 'problematic' characters only to try and make them 'unproblematic' as possible!

Aang!

I noticed that there's some people that hate Aang with a passion, so much so, that they'll try to paint him out as this sexist, abusive person/partner/father, and it bugs the hell out of me. Kind of makes me laugh a little too, seeing how powerful the haterism is towards this fictional 12 year old boy. This discourse especially gets worse when TLOK gets thrown into the mix and people try to paint him as a 'deadbeat' father, and some even try to compare him to Ozai?? It grosses me out, and the 'deadbeat' part is far from the truth! Words have meaning and weight to them, people!

Sokka!

Had to throw my fav in here of course. Here's the thing, people will either characterize Sokka as being nothing more than a dumb jokester, or they'll acknowledge that he's smart, but completely forget that he's incredibly grump, sarcastic, and skeptical which can lead him to be borderline cynical, especially in S1! There's also the whole "Sokka didn't really love his mom" discourse and, not to sound dramatic, but it makes me want to rip my hair out LMAO. I personally think that Sokka is one of the most interesting characters in ATLA and it kinda sucks seeing people gloss over him so much.

URSA!

Now this might be my most controversial take lmao. Before I start, I'm not saying Ursa was a perfect parent, and I wont be talking about the comics in this part, just strictly the show. But at this point, I almost feel like an Ursa defender because people greatly misinterpret her character and try to paint her to be just as bad as Ozai, especially when Azula is thrown into the mix. I'm sorry y'all, but I don't agree with the "Ursa was a 'boy' mom and favorited Zuko and abused Azula" takes. I don't think this was the case at all, and her relationship with Azula is so much more complex than that. People tend to forget that A) This was all Ozai's doing, he saw Azula as a weapon and put a wedge between her and the rest of her family (specifically Zuko and Ursa) and B) Ursa was also abused. She was an abused woman, trapped in a horrible situation, and wasn't left with a lot of great options or freedom.

Anyways I could talk about this all day with pretty much the rest of the Gaang, but I'll try and keep this from getting too long haha! AND AS ALWAYS, I don't want any discourse! I am always open for discussion! I love reading other peoples takes and I am always willing to change my views!
